I don’t think we talk enough about Dick’s parentification trauma.

like yeah he’s the eldest daughter and definitely takes care of his siblings more like a parent than a brother but also.

he basically had to raise himself. like Bruce was more his partner in crimefighting than his father (closer to a brother than a parent) and while Alfred definitely raised him more, Dick was still largely operating like an adult while Robin.

no wonder he became desperate for independence. he already felt like an adult. being treated like a kid when you’ve been taking care of yourself for years can feel infuriating. (I should know.)

I’m aware in most canons he is an adult when he becomes Nightwing, but that’s still at 18/19 and doesn’t change my point.

Bro I was reenacting the "Just So" clip while I was putting away the dishes and when Frank yelled at Barnaby I was gonna say "oi fuck you" y'know because I was being silly but what came out was an almost PERFECT imitation of Barnaby's voice- I couldn't even finish the "fuck you" because I broke down laughing

it was raihan's ace, it's only found in one spot in swsh, it's abilities either double or halve it's weight so it could either crush you in one step or be lifted like a big dog, it's 5'11, it has a canon rivalry with tyranitar that references mechagodzilla, it's a lighter, it's a building, it's gigantamax form is the london shard, it evolves into the golden gate bridge which is also a railgun with 600 BST

Out of curiosity, do you have a definitive ranking of the TWST boys? Or a tier list?

so, it took me a bit to mull this over.

I wouldn't say I have a definitive ranking, since my opinions of the characters do tend to shift around quite a lot. but this is my tier list of my opinions as of this moment. I included only the characters I was really familiar with (so the characters introduced in Book 7 that aren't out in the EN server, and characters from events I haven't played yet aren't included)

chances are, in a week or two, things will have shifted around again! however, the characters at the very top are almost always the same, as are the characters at the VERY bottom (like, bottom 10ish)

feel free to voice your opinions on my placements - I'm curious as to what you think!

I have this stupid romanticized fantasy where I have a teaparty book club. It's a normal book club that meets periodically but when they do it's a tea party and everyone sips teas and eats finger sandwiches and has fun being dainty while talking books.

This dream will never come true because it requires a set of impossible to achieve conditions. First a friend group or social circle of similarly inclined individuals large enough to pull from to get a group of 4-7 people big enough for interesting conversations. Second all members of said group would have to have the necessary amount for free time to actually read the book AND a consistent enough schedule to plan for and attend meetings on a regular basis. Third the only way to maintain sustainability for something like this is if either each member takes turns hosting or there is some kind of money pool and or distribution of tasks for setting up tea which is another time and resource factor that members would have to be able to afford.

And even if by some far away and out of reach middle class dreams miracle all these factors DID manage to come together it STILL wouldn't work because literally no one in my social circles like any of the books I do so I would have to read books I don't like every month or no one would join. Or more likely I'd try it for a few months just get tired of the book choice and eave and every one else would go on living my fantasy without me because just like how I never get the aux cord, no one is letting me curate the book club reading list.
