I do find the idea of Gortash doing a political/arranged marriage thing interesting because it does play into the notion that he clearly doesn’t care for other people and instead only sees them as pieces to use to get to his goals.

However, if durgetash is also a thing within that, then that poor spouse.

Gortash would have to make Durge promise not to kill them; swear on it since this spouse is simply a piece of their plan and nothing more.

However, Durge is still very upset with their existence as a spouse regardless of genuine emotions being there or not. Besides, just because Durge agreed not to kill them, they could still scare them, make them ill, maybe even outright injure them.

Maybe even at some point, the spouse wakes up in the middle of the night and can hear a muffled argument. They get up and step closer to the door, and they can hear Gortash whisper shouting about a pact and how they need to remain alive for the domination of whichever city/country they are aiming for next.

Not only would they suffer with being in a marriage that is clearly nothing more than a business transaction with one of the craziest men in Faerun, but there seems to be an even crazier individual always lingering just being him, with eyes that burn hot and are full of pure hatred whenever they look at the spouse.

Nothing but psychological torment for the rest of their life because they got dropped into the middle of the most complex toxic and vicious relationship in Baldur’s Gate.

anyone else annoyed with portrayals that make Nm and the Bad Sanses and Error out to be “actually innocent uwu guys who aren’t actually in the wrong bc they’re traumatized” and make Ink and Dream out to be “actually the real bad guys actually cuz umm Ink soulless and Dream no care abt his brother actually”?

Like people probably think it’s subversive or something when tbh it’s really not, at least not anymore. Maybe at one point it wasn’t a very popular interpretation of those guys (to have them be The Real Victims Actually) but, it sure is popular nowadays.

Like I’m not against sympathetic portrayals of the bad guys or anything (I’m literally a For The Forgotten Ones enjoyer)

but like, idk it gets on my nerves a bit when people try to make them Not The Bad Ones Actually They Did No Wrong Ever™️. Especially when it’s at the expense of the Star Sanses (Ink, Dream, and sometimes even Blue)’s characters.

It just feels like villainizing the Stars (especially Ink and Dream) for no reason other than to gesture at a “”subversive and interesting”” story, making these interpretations out to be more complex than they actually are.

my job drives me crazy but if nothing else im really glad it’s given me an opportunity to meet so many dogs and to learn so much about dogs in general. they’re really my favorite animal lol

#i think a lot of our customers like me because they can tell i genuinely love and care deeply about their dogs #even the ones that drive me nuts! lol #they are my babies. one of them had a seizure at my job and my coworker ran to get me bc she didn’t know what to do #and i talked to her and told her she was ok and carried her out to dad. bc we learned she couldn’t stand or walk #anyway she made a full recovery and since then she just loves me #every time i see her i sit with her and pet her lol she’s sooo sweet #they’re just so sensitive and intuitive! i love animals i’m so happy to share a world with animals

im guessing no mangy devil chihuahuas or rescues (compacflt can't be seen with anything but a purebreed) golden retriever might be too on the nose, how about a malinois or a german shepherd maybe an english bulldog (ugly)

idk. i don’t really have a dog in this fight (i don’t care) (pun intended). but it definitely would have to be like a Real Dog. yeah nothing smaller than 70 lbs. a Real Dog. other than that i don’t have any opinions. could be a mutt or a rescue! but it would have to be, you know, handsome and upstanding and like, a Real Dog that you can, like, do stuff with. it is very cliche and on the nose and maybe im only saying this bc i, like, don’t care at all about dogs but ice does seem like the white lab/golden retriever guy and mav strikes me as a german shepherd guy. there are many reasons i don’t think they would ever have a dog (what would they do with the dog?) but not being able to agree on the breed might be one reason they never get a dog. arguing and bickering etc
