not a fan of people saying Odin and Loki are similar in a moral or decisive sense, particularly when it comes to Thor. that makes it sound like Loki doesn't know Thor or care about him beyond what he symbolises (regarding Asgard/the throne/family/worthiness), when that's a defining part of their relationship

I still can’t believe there are people who think that Will “I’m not gonna fall in love, just kidding I am in love already but I think I’ve been rejected so let’s rip off the bandaid” Byers isn’t going to get what he wants…in a show whose whole premise started with his abduction and is, by it’s creators own repeated admission, both going to focus on him the final season + about championing the underdog and the outcast.

It really is that simple, because once you know what the Duffers value...even if you haven’t dug that far into the show, it’s obvious where the “it started with Will, it will end with Will” is taking us based on tropes alone, if you listen to anything The Duffers say about their themes and narrative goals.

You don't even need color coding or parallels to other media to sort through it, because outside of any "but it was the 80s" commentary or "they would never break up the flagship couple" talk...Byler is literally just the logical thematic conclusion for Will's arc as the full embodiment of the outcasted, childlike AND the underdog, even if you don't like what they did to get our characters there.

Like? Will is literally the boy who represents the duffers love of being a “child at heart” and taking things you adored from your youth into being a grown up (see: their entire mf show being based on DnD and the media they loved as kids) on top of being a queer, poor, and regularly disrepected character.

He is the textbook representation of the outcast and underdog energy The Duffers love, to the point where you could hardly fit more "marginalized and imperfect" checkboxes into him without making him poc...and yet people actually believe he is going to be rejected not because there is no setup, or because there is no precedence for the storyline but solely because his love interest (who also has a non-conformity storyline and who is already making heart eyes at him) is currently dating a girl...and it would be "realistic" for him to get rejected? ☠️

Not to mention...I haven't even touched on how byler resolves Mike's own thematic issues and it already makes the most sense? Like?

How do you miss the most obvious plot twist setup in history not because its not blatantly set up, but because you’re homophobic? It really does have to be the blindness of heteronormativity thats driving most of this, because if you were a media literate homophobe, you would be screaming at the Duffers for doing it, not denying it’s happening at all. wahh not gonna lie im about to hit 600 hours playing nothing but salmon run on splatoon 3 for a year agqjshd.. lately tho ive been getting into tf2, and kirby and the forgotten land, both for the first time- lots of fun even if i'm late!

my favorite recent ones i'd recommend might be pikmin 4 (goty), rhythm doctor (an update just came out!), the rusty lake series (underground blossom just released and it was soo good), hi-fi rush (goty 2), neon white (haven't finished but gameplay is incredible), transistor (or any supergiant game really)

i could go on but not sure what genres you're looking for and i just game too much after work ajdhdkk

It's an honor

(I tend to slow cook basically anything I'm not planning on eating rare bc I like tender wet meat so there's a heavy slow cook bias here.)

My fave 'less popular meat' in the US at least (not so much the rest of the world) is goat, I prefer it over lamb by a long shot. I'll usually slow cook it in a stew with garlic+onions and heavily spice it (exactly how really depends but I use cumin in everything so that's a guarantee.)

Otherwise I really like dark game meat in general- venison, pheasant, etc. I also like it cooked slowly and allowed to get fork-tender and I really like doing a sweet-savory thing with them via a fruit based sauce and/or glaze. Wild berries if I have them (tends to be raspberries or currants in my case). I'll make the sauce with a base of berries + red wine + rosemary/thyme. The other options depend on what exact kind of sauce you're going for but you'll want something bitter/acidic to balance it out, like dijon or balsamic vinegar or something. Garlic and/or ginger is usually good. A chutney is always good too. And I prefer everything I eat to be at least mildly spicy so I'll usually include jalepeños or habenero in it.

Not AT ALL an unpopular meat but an unpopular ingredient- salmon heads make the absolute BEST fish broth imo. It is basically impossible to fuck up (unless you forget to remove the gills). For salmon broth I usually make a standard stock (using garlic onions carrots celery, all roasted together with the salmon head), let it cook for 4-5 hours. For the broth I add soy sauce, coconut milk, more garlic, green onions and/or leeks, ginger, mala, cumin, coriander, lemongrass, lime leaves if I have them, usually chili oil... Etc. Take or leave some of those ingredients but I usually end up tossing them all in to taste.

Also chicken feet I fucking love chicken feet but have yet to cook my own in a way I'm satisfied with enough to give ANY advice on lol. Just try it at a good Sichuan restaurant. (If you're someone who likes eating the skin and gnawing connective tissue off bones you will probably like chicken feet. If not you probably won't)
