i was bored and felt like doing a crackfic thing but i didn’t have any solid themes or good ideas

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE? — The mystery of Chara fascinated me about Undertale, and I admit to feeling a strong kinship to them - the Sans Genocide fight certainly didn't help there, because _I love a challenge_, and that fight comes part and parcel with Chara in the surrounding fandom materials. It was a surprise when I started hearing their voice and feeling it looking for an outlet, but not an unwelcome one - it took me a little while to refine exactly who and what my Chara was, which parts of common fanon resonated and which to discard, but I'm quite pleased by the person they've grown into through the journey.

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING? — Honestly? Nothing did for a while. I had a bad experience with the fandom that put me off for a long while, and then real life got in the way and Chara retreated into the back corner of my head, only coming out for occasional snippets of conversation with their favorite Asriel or to snark on random moments and things I was doing. I'm not sure what drew them more fully out of hiding exactly, but it's been really great to get into the swing of writing them again.

PRESENTING. RANDOM DEEP DIVE WITH INDIGO-MUN AT 2AM ;

FIRST NAME Good fucking question… It’s (sort-of) currently Dylann! I was Kieran before that, though; it’s still used as one of my first names and I’m not used to Dylann quite yet bc I’ve just started using it.

Indigo is one of my middle names though, and I’ve used it as an online handle elsewhere forever so I use it here now! [ Fun etymology facts: Dylan(n) is a mythology name generally meaning “born of the wave” (aspiring diver & a water witch at heart). Kieran means “little dark one” bc of my love for horror, && I chose Indigo bc as a kid to be it was neither boy (blue) or purple (girl) and was both and neither as well as my absolute favorite color as this vibrant ass mystical color. ]

STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF hmmmmm…. I’m a horror lover at heart, so as a child (I wanna say 12), I was walking through an antique store (I have a few cool finds, I considered putting my other one as the fact tbh) and I turned the corner and I saw these two dolls staring back at me at the foot of the stairs of this antique building. my blood froze, and i felt my stomach drop. i got actual, physical goosebumps stumbling across these two creepy dolls staring back at me in the corner, and i couldn’t leave the store without them. perhaps the little painted porcelain boy would be somewhat spooky by himself if it wasn’t for the terrifying lidded gaze of the porcelain girl with the hairline fractures and slightly open lips. i cant look at her. i dont really find dolls scary, I like to find the spookier ones ones, and she makes me paranoid as hell. i keep her face covered and her up in my closet except for when i bring her out to show her off proudly as the spookiest thing I have but……. i dont really collect dolls anymore. even thinking about her brings a fearful tear to my eye. i don’t like to think about her for very long, but that’s why I’m so fucking proud to own her. ( YES — I’m THAT white person in the horror film )

FAVORITE BOOK White Fang by Jack London. Have I actually ever finished it? No. Do I still own a copy I’ve had since childhood thru multiple dogs eating it, taking it to and from school, and highlighting and circling all the best parts of chapter one ever since I was a kid and it was too hard of a book for me to read? You bet your ass. If I ever need inspiration I just reread chapter 1. Although one of my other favorites was Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes. But White Fang is like, a weirdly personal text. We stan London’s writing in this household.

Alright so! under the cut: why I kinda stopped posting updates about my life on here & regarding my education:

To be frank I’ve mostly just been shitposting about my lie on twitter and I’ve been doing it in such a way that a lot of people would likely find it a bit difficult to understand if I’m being serious or not. Otherwise, I’ve been yelling about my life on the Supergiant Games unofficial discord, and I’ve felt that that’s been satisfactory in regards to me discussing life stuff with people. That community is absolutely wonderful and has restored my faith in fandom (alongside the TWRP fandom, of all fandoms)

So if u do wanna keep in touch with me I strongly suggest adding me on LINE because I miss using it and/or on discord because I use it a lot as a means of communication these days

Additionally, I haven’t been able to sit at my laptop for extended periods of times due to the shoulder and neck pain I’ve been dealing with for the past few years. It’s built up to a degree where the pain is now persistent through my day to day life, and it’s annoying, distracting, and, well, painful. I plan on getting this dealt with back at uni once again; I often fall asleep early these days so I forget to do the corrective exercises prescribed to me by my physio and that isn’t helping the issue either.

When it came to me signing up for my classes at the end of the summer of this year, I dreaded it. Dreaded it. I had walked out of the previous semester unbelievably depressed (have been diagnosed with severe depression since) right to the point where I was sitting in exams, staring at the paper in front of me, and not having the adrenaline, fear, excitement etc I usually need to write out what I needed to

And I was distracted the whole time

and so I barely wrote anything on these papers and spent most of the exam time idling.

That. Sucks. Big time. And the reason why I was depressed? A combination of me not having found part time work for a year (now going on a year and a half) and not being even remotely interested in what I was studying.

That also sucked because I thought I would at least find what I was studying interesting, not exciting per se, but interesting, and it really, really wasn’t.

And I chalk it down to me being too much of an airhead that is decent at writing but genuinely doesn’t care about most aspects of the business world save for the HR aspect. The first part is great if you wanna pursue work within the business world! But the second part... eh.

And, whilst their program for tourism looks fascinating, I would’ve had to sit through classes I was no good at, so that option was also out of the window.

Ultimately, I decided that a) I needed to stop doing a dual degree when I did not have the energy to, and b) I needed to do an arts/humanities degree.

So I had a few choices.

The arts (which has little to do with Actual Art itself and more so deals with stuff like,,,, philosophy,,,, and sociology and other still interesting topics)

Communications

Journalism.

Unfortunately my university sacrifices good arts programs in favour of cheaper fees and offering part-time study (which I kinda need) so. Yeah lmao

Whilst I was seriously considering doing an arts degree because then u can basically f*ck off and do Whatever The Hell You Want, I felt like a communications degree would’ve been better for me as it mayyy have offered more opportunities for me to enter the film and tv world, which I’ve been somewhat interested in as of late

But then I looked at the journalism program and. Well. I could do a minor in film and tv in there. And it’s probably the best degree of the three as it offers study overseas for a brief period of time, offers for internship as part of study, and the possibility of doing your own individualised project- so as long as u have a good enough GPA (which I certainly do not have at the moment, but hey. I could improve.)

So I decided to go with journalism for now. In the end, if I do end up disliking the degree, I could try out either communications or the arts! I just don’t like the idea of me totally giving up on tertiary education because I am somewhat academically minded, just easily distracted and very depressed, and I feel like I should use that to the best of my ability and use it as an opportunity to learn about the world around me.

Also I’m a lil apprehensive about what job opportunities could be available to me if I do finish my journalism degree because uh. My asshole distant cousin Rupert M*rdock runs his media outlets in a way I strongly disagree with but... that’s for the future lmfao

To end this long ass rant: I am going to go obtain a certificate in the responsible service of alcohol tomorrow night, at this time, and if it goes well I might go for my RS of gambling too! So yes hopefully that’ll all work out and aid me in getting a job

PyeongChang Men’s SP Reaction

FOREWARNING: someone remind me to never do this again I literally sweat through my shorts going through this emotional earthquake

I had reservations about doing this reaction post but I’m watching the NBC mini-promos for everyone (cue lil’ kid saying that Javi is his ONLY hero <3) competing tonight and all the feels flooding in.

Also gonna put my dream podium out there in advance so I can lay claim to my fantasies before they possibly flop: Yuzu, Nathan, Javi (in that order for Gold, Silver, and Bronze), but ofc the best scenario is that everyone skates well and leaves the ice happy and the gremlin judges can do whatever. I haven’t watched a lot of the earlier-group men this season, but looking at their music choices I’m pretty excited for Julian Zhi Jie Yee’s Build a Home program (P/C’s 2016 FS from Euros that year still sticks with me) and hopefully Yaroslav hits his 4F. Just writing out everyone’s name is getting me hella nervous

MY BOI Vincent Zhou HITS DAT 4Lz-3T first at the Olympics with that 4Lz-3T combo!!! gah other two jumps off-axis but damn he has the hardest technical content but man you gotta deliver all of it including rotations and GOE; also *pushes glasses up* Vincent ~almost~ got a perfect ACT score wat u doing get that 36 (LOL AT THE COMMENTATORS SAYING HIS SIS GOT A PERFECT SCORE); BANG 84.53 with some stubby GOEs I can live with that new season’s best YAAAS u chase those cars

Loves Company is the first poker pair fic i read that gave me hope for this ship. it’s so light and funny and good and went a long way to inspiring me to continue writing for the pair.Some Minor Issues looks like it’s only just been started and I honestly cant wait for more. Modern AU where Tyki is the son of a mob boss, the best trans Allen i’ve ever read (in a world of fem!allen i have finally found an oasis of casual and accurate representation). definitely excited to see where it goes, if it goes, idk if it’s gonna be continued or what but !!!!Reapers is another new one, and the title kinda says it all lol. Allen and Lavi are reapers working for the Earl, and Allen is designated Tyki’s personal servant ahahaha

hiat:Not gonna lie i haven’t actually read a LOT from this author, but what I have read has been exceptional

A Small Reprieve is wonderful, especially considering it’s the author’s first smut like. Damn. It’s sweet and a little bit sad, but this is Tykillen so what did u expect lmaoFondant and Fakery is so cute and sweet like omfg ahahaha it’s all the lighthearted Tykillen fluff i ever neededWorlds Apart is probably my favourite from them, but im not sure if it’s ongoing or if they’ve abandoned it? While You Sleep is somehow the only soulmates au (that i know of) and i love it?? its amazing and cute, where each Allen and Tyki sees through the other’s eyes in their dreams.Mr. Poker Face is super funny and lighthearted - i love the flow of dialogue, it’s so quick and witty and them I honestly yelled a lil when I saw it’d been updated with a second chapter.How to Build a Life Together depicts snapshots of Tyki and Allen, uh. Building a life together i guess lol. Each chapter is a different point in their relationship, starting from the point where Tyki gives Allen a rock (and not in the traditional sense. That comes later lmao).

yoooooOOOOOOO you all have no idea how grateful i am to reach this milestone. this blog was a reboot of alison, and i was really worried that i wouldn’t be able to play her like before since i was basically starting from scratch again, but i’m really glad to see that she ( and the boys!! ) have been accepted and loved, and i’m so happy i’ve gotten the chance to create meaningful relationships both ic and ooc!

i’ve never actually done a bias list before despite how many years i’ve been rping on tumblr, but i think it’s about time i make one since i think this blog is one of my best experiences in terms of shipping, friendships, and threading and i really should just make a shoutout to some very special people and say thank you to everyone for sticking with this blog and helping me flesh out my muses!
