i know there's a lot of weight ppl feel to make their self inserts very like gender conforming but in the end I feel, as someone who makes so many s/is who look feminine or use different pronouns despite being trans men or at least masc leaning, that you should just have fun with your designs no matter what. like. I don't like dresses irl, they make me extremely dysphoric and upset...But I love putting them on my s/is, masculine or feminine appearing or even androgynous etc. so i do that. similarly, i only like he/him in real life, but whos gonna stop me from making she/her trans men? nobody. people could try, but fuck those people because its all pretend and is a good way to explore identity. I also have SO much more fun making "feminine" characters than I do masc, and I feel my s/have more life when I don't force a masculine look. but im still a trans man, my s/i is still a trans man, etc. selfship is about being free to explore yourself and also your funky little characters you feel so strongly for, who would accept you no matter what. be free
tl;dr pronouns and clothing and stuff are fake design your s/is how you want and what feels fun and comfortable for you whether or not it appliesto your irl self

you can tell i have a degree in comics bc i was like "no, that's not right" about miquel o'hara's reasoning bc he was like "EVERY spider has these events bc they're CANON" (literally untrue. there are at least three peter parkers off the top of my head who do not have the uncle ben event to say nothing of the fact that many of the non-peter spiders ALSO do not have a similar event.) and then he starts explaining his backstory and something about the phrasing "at least a version of me was [happy]" rattled in my brain for the rest of the movie anyway the moral of the story is that i'm pretty sure miguel is the mfer who disrupted the canon since he apparently didn't do what he was supposed to in the events of the spider-verse (2015 as opposed to 2019 or 2022) storyline and go find the 616 peter parker

is material consumption ok if it's for hobbies?
I want to start by thanking you for asking this question. It's an important one, and it leads to an idea that we don't really address much on practicalsolarpunk. But we definitely should discuss it more, and this is a good place to start. This may or may not be what you want to hear, anon, but I hope this helps a little bit. (Long post ahead.)
When I started this blog, most of the solarpunk content I could find was aesthetic, fiction, and political action. All of those are very important! Political action and resistance is how we will actually make changes on a systemic level. Aesthetic and fiction content are essential because it lets us imagine a better future, and it's impossible to create a future we can't imagine. But what I wanted was a blog of small things I could do right now or soon to reduce my consumption in general, learn new things, opt out in tiny ways, and make both the world and my own life a little better. This blog is about little things (and sometimes slightly bigger things) that we can do as individuals. Composting, gardening, foraging, and building community may make your life and the lives of those around you better, but they won't change the exploitative and destructive foundations of capitalist society.
practicalsolarpunk is not the definitive guide to solarpunk. It's not even the end goal. In my view, solarpunk has three interlocking aspects: Individual actions towards making a better future, building communities to make a better future together, and political action and resistance to move societal structures and systems towards a better future. On this blog, we mainly focus on individual actions and a little bit of community-building. Individual actions are great, but they can only go so far.
Coming back to your main concept, consumption: It's easy to come to the conclusion that consumption is bad, evil, wrong, destroying the environment, etc. If you hang out in solarpunk spaces, you've probably heard the "There is no ethical consumption under capitalism." And that's true - it is impossible to find anything created under capitalism that is not somehow exploiting the environment or people. However, consumption is required to survive. Eating food is consumption. Wearing clothes is consumption. Living indoors is consumption. Using any method of transportation besides walking is consumption. Even outside of capitalist systems, we must consume to live.
We are prone to black-and-white thinking. We want to sort things into "entirely good" and "entirely bad." When we have those boxes, we can do all of the things that make us good and none of the things that make us bad. It seems especially important to know what's good and what's bad to do when the future and the fate of the world are at stake. But in reality, almost nothing is fully good or fully bad. Everything is somewhere on the spectrum in between.
My guess is you want permission to buy things for your hobbies. (That's my guess because I have wanted the same thing - I hoped permission from someone who knew more than me about what was going on would help me feel less guilty about consuming.) And the reality is that I cannot give you that permission. There are reasonable arguments for either side. Material consumption for hobbies is good because hobbies are great for mental health and you can't change the world if your mental health is terrible. Material consumption for hobbies is bad because even though the consumption reduced is small it can build up to a greater effect over time.
Overconsumption is destroying the planet. We must consume to survive. There is no way to consume ethically under capitalism. All three of these statements are true. That means there is no "right" answer to your question. You can only make a decision based on your values, your needs, and your knowledge. I know what my choice would be in your situation, but I can't say what the best choice is for you.
I'm a huge fan of Maya Angelou's quote,: "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." Make the best decision you can with the information you have. If and when you get more information, you may need to reevaluate it. Perfection is impossible. Even when the stakes seem terrifyingly high, your best is good enough.
And one final note, because this question has reminded me a lot of myself and I don't want you to fall into the same trap I once did: Don't let guilt dictate this decision. Guilt tells you that you're doing the wrong things, you're not doing the right things, and you're definitely not doing enough. It says that making yourself happy is a moral failing, that it's wrong to do things just for fun while people are suffering and the world is burning, and that you are partially to blame for the state of the world because you chose to consume. Guilt is a liar, and you will destroy yourself before you ever do enough or sacrifice enough to satisfy it.
Ultimately, solarpunk is about creating a better future for people. A future where humans are extinct might save the environment from human overconsumption, but that's not a solarpunk future. Excessive material consumption isn't solarpunk, but denying yourself consumption that would improve your life isn't solarpunk either.

BRB thinking thoughts about Taigen's character, the TaiMizu ship, and a big chunk of fandom's perceptions regarding both those things.
(Inspired by @farintonorth's post related to this topic that just got my brain going brrrrr)
Tumblr media
OK so let me just... start off by saying that I think that reducing stories to their tropes is seriously detrimental to the way some people are interacting with fiction, and while that honestly warrants its own post about the subject, I wanna talk specifically about how this affects the way some people in the fandom talk about Taigen and TaiMizu.
Because yeah, tropes are useful shorthand to refer to certain dynamics or archetypes etc, and they are indeed the building blocks to any story. But in a well-written story, characters and their relationships, actions, and motivations, are much more complex than just tropes. Because in a story that has characters who are more than just cardboard cutouts, their behaviours, backgrounds, motivations and all of that, are inseparable from the context of the overall story they exist in.
So like, sure, you can say Mizu and Taigen have an enemies-to-lovers or rivals-to-lovers dynamic. I also use those terms because it's easier. But I also think this is where things start to get a bit twisted, especially from an intertextual sense. Because "enemies-to-lovers" is also commonly used to refer to other ships in other media, whereby it tends to be rooted in an imbalanced power dynamic, such as oppressor-oppressed and bully-victim.
And while that's a whole can of worms that I won't be getting into because it can quickly derail into a whole separate sort of fandom discourse, I'd just like to make it clear that Mizu and Taigen, in particular, do not have an imbalanced power dynamic. They are not bully-victim or oppressor-oppressed. The only understandable reason why someone might actually think their relationship is imbalanced is if
A) they only watched the first episode, or
B) they cannot grasp the slightest bit of nuance in a character, or
C) they're being obtuse on purpose simply because the Mizu/Taigen relationship, or Taigen's character in general, just doesn't suit their tastes.
While yes, Taigen, along with his whole gang, had bullied Mizu when they were children, that dynamic does not exist between them whatsoever in adulthood. Whatever imbalanced bully-victim power dynamic that had once existed between them was decisively ripped apart the moment Mizu beat him in that duel in the dojo, and then completely obliterated by the end of the season.
Mizu is not a defenseless victim at Taigen's mercy. Mizu can beat Taigen's ass any time she wants (and she DOES, repeatedly in fact), and could even kill him if she felt like it. She taunts him openly and without fear ("I like your hair"; "I can beat you with any weapon you choose") and all he does is bark back, because that's pretty much all Taigen ever does. Time and time again, he yaps about how much he wants to kill her, but time and time again, his actions prove that all of it is just an empty threat. Because though his words say "I hate you", his actions demonstrate the complete opposite. He's shown how protective he is of Mizu, how unhesitatingly he sacrifices himself up for her, how loyal he is in enduring days-long torture to not give up information about her, how even when near-death and in pain, he's still willing to keep standing back up so he can fight by her side and help her win against her enemies.
And Mizu is not an idiot! She sees that too. She does not see him as a threat, an enemy, or even a bully. Especially not by the end of Episode 3, and definitely not by the end of the season. When she finds him in the dungeon in Episode 6, she smiles from relief, and doesn't think twice to take him with her. Mizu finds him, at best, an annoyance, or at worst, an infuriating hindrance on her quest for vengeance. Which is why, when Taigen is about to say, "It's a shame our duel's set for tomorrow; I have to kill you before you get your revenge," Mizu whacks him on the head without a second thought before he can even finish his sentence, and leaves him lying unconscious, face-down, in the snow.
And this further emphasises how he does not hold any power over her. There is no abusive power dynamic between them. She is more powerful than him, he knows this, and all he's ever done after they've met up again in adulthood is get his ass whooped by her, get mad about it and pester her and follow her around, get his ass whooped by her some more, and put his life on the line to protect her.
"OOoooOOoooH b-but he called her a demon at the end of Episode 7 and threatened to kill her again!!!" Oh my god. He called her that because he's calling her out on her selfishness to stay silent about her knowledge of Fowler's plans to attack Edo. Because to him, loyalty and honour as a samurai is more important than anything. So in his own brash-and-immature Taigen way, he felt betrayed that Mizu did not hold the same principles. That's why he got angry. He wasn't even that mad about letting Akemi get dragged off by the Tokunobu guards. It was about saving the Shogun and the Shogunate as a whole. That's why the first thing he does in Edo is not find Akemi, but try to warn the Shogun about Fowler's attack.
Look, I'm not defending his stupid ass, of course. Because calling her a demon especially after their cute little wrestling time was obviously rude and inappropriate, especially since words like "demon", "monster" and "Onryo" have had such a deep effect on Mizu throughout her life, and continue to contribute to her self-hatred. But like? That's the fun of realistic and flawed characters, and realistic and flawed relationships. They're not perfect, and it's why we as an audience root for them, wanting to see them work through their shit and find a way to prevail despite it all.
Also, him saying that was in the heat of the moment. He was angry, he felt like his initial belief of who Mizu was—a strong and loyal samurai, just like him—was shattered, and so he lashed out. Was it rude? Definitely. Was it immature of him? Yes, incredibly. But it's also very much in line with his character, because even though he's grown a lot over the course of the season, the show isn't over yet, so obviously his character arc is just beginning, as that is also the case for the other three main characters: Mizu is beginning to accept herself, Akemi is beginning to grow into her position of power, Ringo beginning to train under Master Eiji, while Taigen is beginning to simply be a better person.
On that note, when speaking of Taigen's immaturity, I think that's also one of the main things that people tend to gloss over when it comes to his character. Because when you boil everything down to its bare essentials, Taigen is, essentially, a boy. I've talked about this before, but to reiterate, Taigen very much behaves like an unhealed child. Even as an adult, he is insecure, prone to throwing tantrums, and is desperate to latch onto some material goal in hopes that it will make him feel better—initially he was chasing status/glory/greatness, and then when Mizu tells him that "Nothing comes from being a samurai but death," he immediately decides he wants to run away with Akemi in hopes that he will be happy.
And it's a big step, acknowledging that he doesn't truly want greatness, but had always just assumed it was his only path to a good life. But it's clear he still hasn't really figured it out. Because if he did run off with Akemi to get married and live in the countryside, he still wouldn't be happy. Because he still doesn't know who he really is, or what it is he really wants. Marriage at this moment is the last thing he needs, and as he is now, he would be a pretty awful husband. A simple life would be good for him, but would he be good at a simple life, when he still has so much he needs to work through?
So anyway, what I'm getting at here, is that he's trying and he is learning and growing. So yeah, he is flawed, but honestly? So is Mizu. And the funny thing is that they're flawed in very similar ways.
Because Mizu is also an unhealed child. That's why she's so angry all the time. That's why she pushes people away. That's why she, just like Taigen, is so happy when given the chance to playfully wrestle in the forge, laughing and rolling around like children without shame or pretense.
Again, this shows there is no imbalance between them. They had grown up together as peers from the same town. And while Taigen had had the upper hand back then, because he'd had a gang of other kids with him, that is definitely not the case anymore. Today, they are equally flawed, equally strong, equally skilled swordsmen, and equally bull-headed.
However, yes, Mizu is definitely leagues more mature than Taigen. But she still holds a lot of childhood wounds that mirror Taigen's own. And we see this especially in relation to her mother. Similar to Taigen who had an abusive and alcoholic father, Mizu's Mama was an opium addict and had hit her, berated her, had shaved her head without her consent as a child, and as an adult, had constantly emotionally manipulated and guilt-tripped her. Mizu's love for her Mama was what had driven her to a path of vengeance in the very beginning. And when she'd found out Mama was still alive, she had wanted nothing more than her Mama's love, and it was this alone that pushed her to agree to the marriage with Mikio in the first place. And now, knowing from Fowler that her birth mother is someone else entirely, is what makes her agree to keep him alive and haul his ass to London to seek answers.
Thus, integral to Mizu's self-hatred is also Mizu's intense longing for love and family. Just like Taigen, whose pompousness comes from his insecurity about being the son of a poor fisherman, Mizu's goals are also shaped by who her parents are. Remember, her vengeance is not against just anyone who's corrupt or evil, but specifically against the men who she believes had assaulted her mother, the men she believes had made her a monster, the men she believes had abandoned her to die and continue to try to kill her. Her vengeance is against a father, on behalf of a mother. In The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride, Mizu is not merely the Ronin, the Bride, or the Onryo, but also the Child.
This is also why Ringo is so good, not only for Mizu, but for Taigen as well. Ringo is wise and caring and considerate, but above all, he is in tune with his inner child in ways that Mizu and Taigen are not. He is always earnest and positive, he sees the world with childlike wonder, but is not naive or blind to its ugliness. His whole life has been a battle. Ringo brings out the best in Mizu, consistently acting as her moral compass and conscience, and Mizu's choice to save Akemi in the final episode is only because she promised Ringo that she would. Because it's the right thing to do. Ringo inspires her to be a better person, and to think outside of her narrow-minded goal of revenge. At the same time, Ringo also brings out the best in Taigen. While at first Taigen had looked down on both Mizu and Ringo ("Half-limb to a half-wit"), by the end of the season, he's proud to have Ringo as a friend and ally, he listens to Ringo's advice ("What would Master do?"), and asserts to the fucking Shogun that Ringo is a worthy warrior to have by his side.
Okay, I've gone on a bit of a tangent here, but my main point is that Mizu and Taigen are incredibly similar. They are equals. They are both flawed, unhealed children who are chasing some impossible outlandish goal in hopes that it will fill the void in their hearts. They also both have a long way to go in terms of character development if they were to ever build a healthy romantic relationship (either with each other, or even with anyone else). So while I believe things will be rocky (because duh, it's a story, we all live for the drama, etc), I think with Ringo's help, they'll get there eventually.

No this fandom is actually insane
Do people think it’s ok to write “he was teaching her how to bathe”?????? I’m honestly scared to go read the post that they were talking about. The lengths that these people will go to just to prove that dettles never happened
Read at your own risk.
The person who wrote that is actually Black(or so they claim), but is willing to throw Black characters and Black fans under the bus and promote negative stereotypes about us for their mostly (racist) followers in defense of a racist characters desirability.
Sir/ma’am, if you are reading this, get some self respect. I’m actually embarrassed for you cause this shit is actually pathetic. You’re better than this.
Case in point they wrote this crap a while back with 100% sincerity:
Tumblr media
(I should also note that I actually had a run in with them about a year and some change ago and they threatened to block me after I asked them if Corlys bathing with Rhaenyra would be normal father daughter figure bonding time so I blocked them first😊).
Like you don’t have to like Dettles, but when you are pushing harmful ideology and stereotypes (Black people are so stupid/dirty that we need the white mans help to civilize us) as a way to discredit them and make those who ship it look like angry Black women jealous of the poor helpless white woman and her stans, you’ve gone too far.
Let’s keep in mind that this poor helpless white woman was actively trying to kill a Black girl for a crime she claims she didn’t commit and that despite claiming that Nettles definitely didn’t sleep with Daemon her stans spazz out everytime you mention her name and actively want her cut from the show.
Or how about the fact that these same stans actively stalk and harass Dettles shippers whose only crime has been pointing out y’all’s bullshit.
Let’s keep in mind all of this shall we:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So who is actually jealous of who here? Who in this scenario wants racial revenge?* Who is the problem in this hellhole of a fandom?
Is it the people merely pointing out Nettles importance to the Dance and Daemon’s arc or the people who hurl racial insults and stereotypes? The people who want her erased from the narrative in its entirety cause she disrupts the status quo?
(The fact that someone would even fix their mouth to say that when Black people have been beaten, raped, enslaved, terrorized, tortured, disenfranchised, abused, subjected, and not even given common decency and respect for centuries by these people. If we wanted racial revenge it damn sure wouldn’t be off the back of a fucking fictional character).
The fact that they can’t see Nettles value and only see her as some irrelevant Black girl and reduce people liking her down to a gotcha/“woke” moment is fandom misogynoir in action.
They forget that she comes from nothing, claims a dragon, has a prince willing to give his life for her(six men or sixty remember that since y’all claim to be capable of reading🙃), survives the Dance and becomes a firewitch worshipped by a group of people, because they don’t want to acknowledge her importance.
It makes them uncomfortable to do so because she doesn’t look like them, but people like I’m not like those other Negros cover up for them so that when they are called out for it they can go see this n-I mean this Black person agrees with me.
Imagine being this butt hurt about a fictional character that you can’t even leave your racism or tap dancing at the door for five seconds.
Nettles doesn’t fit the mold, but that’s the point of her story.
They can recognize maester propaganda and scream about feminism when it comes to their white faves, but when it comes to the Black girl who is actively being stereotyped and maligned for her gender, race, and social standing in the source material they believe it no questions asked?
Again, what does it say about you that you are so willing to believe that a Black girl who was clever enough to claim a wild dragon doesn’t know how to bathe herself? What does it say about you that you think Daemon would never touch her with a ten foot pole just because she’s Black?
What does it say about you don’t want her on the show because of her race? What does it say about you that a fictional character who just so happens to be Black has you worked up into a tizzy.
Y’all claim to be for women(real or fictional), but in reality you only care about the women who look like you and shit on women you see as beneath you. Women who you think are a threat to the status quo. You’re no better than the men who oppress you.

based on @glassknee's post and @notevenalittle1294's addition, i present to you: the sims endbringer mod, pho style (but not really, this is a fictional sims forum)
♦ Topic: [Self-promo] Endbringer Mod In: Boards ► Modding FKNSHJ (Original Poster) Posted On Apr 20th 2012: Hi all. 🙂 I’m excited to share this mod I’ve been working on. It involves randomized Endbringer attacks. By default they’re fairly more common than they are in real life, happening maybe once every ten in-game years, but if you look at read_me.txt in the downloads I’ve enclosed information on how to alter the probability and how to trigger specific Endbringers as well as how to make them easier or harder to defeat. Besides that I also included CC and a few Easter eggs that won't affect your gameplay.

We knew it all along 🍊🩵
Taylor released Sweeter Than Fiction exclusive to the Tangerine vinyl at Target. She said this about it:
“There you’ll stand ten feet tall, I will say ‘I knew it all along’ 🥲 This song has always made me think of my friend Jack. It was the first song we made together and watching him challenge himself and make beautiful art over the years has been the thrill of a lifetime. How can he be 6 years older than me and also somehow still be my precocious young son? We may never know. “Sweeter Than Fiction (My Version)” is now available exclusively at Target on Tangerine vinyl 🍊🩵”
I find this funny for a couple reasons:
1. She created an orange (tangerine) edition with an exclusive track that repeats the lyrics “this life is sweeter than fiction”.
Let it sink in. Orange, which we picked up on as a stunting color, is the only version that includes this song. She is saying her true love is sweeter than the fictitious love we see in stunts.
2. She used the 🍊 emoji. And for some reason this makes me feel we are seen. She is aware of the hijinks that go on around here. (Extra giggles: @spade-riddles regularly uses the 🎯 emoji).
Looking deeper, the lyrics to STF are especially 👀 to me.
3. If you read this through a Tumblr Kaylor lens does it not sound perfectly like a redemption story? (Please I know we are just silly little internet people in all this but hear me out).
The first verse is about coming undone, watching us fall, watching our colors fade with a pain we thought would last forever.
In the second verse after the chorus, all we have is our shattered hopes. Then, they never saw it coming, but we were on to something and hit the ground running.
In the pre-chorus, the light comes on. We proved her right, them wrong. And it’s like we don’t remember when we thought the rain would last forever.
The chorus repeats including that we will stand tall, the rest is history.
The bridge says we’ll be one of many saying look at us now, you made us proud. Then goes into the sentiment of loving someone when they are down, like we’ve loved Kaylor’s true love in its deepest darkness.
4. Notably, Taylor highlighted “There you’ll stand ten feet tall, I will say ‘I knew it all along’”. This reminds me so much of this riddle from Spade.
♠️ My riddles aren’t chronological but they do foreshadow. Piece them together and see the picture. You’ve known all along so now, follow along. - 05/11/2019
And generally, highlighting those lyrics gives me vibes of change in the air.
Bonus:
Taylor described Jack as like her “precocious” young son. Ok but any adjective would have worked there. Why this one? Here is its definition:
Showing mental development or achievement much earlier than usual
It fits the theme of knowing something before others. 💅🏼
Tumblr media
I’ll be dissecting this post for ages 😂

You absolutely need to realize that real people fiction is absolutely dehumanizing to real life people when you make up headcannons about them and turn them into fictional characters to jerk off to in fanfics. It is absolutely not ok in any way shape or form. and it is, actually, sexual harassment to make someone know "everyone" wants to jerk it to them.
How does RPF differentiate from AI porn art of actors? drawings depicting actors in sexual situations? because its words, its ok? because theyre a celebrity, they're not human and therefore public property to use their humanity however you please?
the complete lack of consideration of the real life person you are turning into a toy is so repulsive. the amount of youtubers alone who have had to come out and say how uncomfortable it makes them should be enough. You should not be acting until told not to; its something you should only do IF they very clearly condone it. but even then, the gall to ask someone "can I write a romance novel about you and who" is absolutely an offputting thing to ask of anyone.
No, not because "sex is taboo" but because forcing unwarranted things like that on absolute strangers, is sexual harassment.
Reading comprehension questions:
Did OP advocate for harassing celebrities in the original post?
No. The entire point of the post was listing out ways that fandom harasses celebrities and telling them to cut that shit out.
Did OP state that people should tell celebrities about their fantasies?
No. That is... quite literally antithetical to the original post. Fascinated how you're agreeing with so much of my post and yet falling so flat at the end.
Did OP say anything about their personal interaction with RPF that might have an impact on how seriously they can take this anonymous message?
Yes. OP mentioned in the post that rpf is a squick that they blacklist. OP is not mushing any celebrities together like toys, either literally or metaphorically. OP is almost wondering if you got them confused with some other cabbage on the internet.
Reading comprehension: 0/10
There is -- and this is the part that truly I cannot let slide without commentary -- an equivalency in your message between people having and talking about fantasies (RPF existing) and the act of harassment. Let's look at the definition of harassment really quick.
Repeated or continuing unconsented contact that would cause a reasonable individual to suffer emotional distress and that actually causes the victim to suffer emotional distress.
Key word there? Contact.
People in a youtube comment section telling the youtuber how sexy they are, or how cute they are with their co-host omg my ship is so squee? Harassment. Contact has been made, the people doing are in that creator's forum space. Do not pass go do not collect $200.
Someone unsolicitedly tagging the cast of a tv show in explicit rpf fic or explicit art on Instagram, xitter, tik-tok, etc? Harassment, that individual is initiating contact with the actor. Same way endless phone calls constitutes harassment.
Sending anything explicit to an actor's family? Waaaay harassment. Possibly stalking as well, depending.
Someone writing a fic on ao3? Not harassment. It's not being sent to the celebrity. There is no contact, the only way they know about it is to go looking themself or have a friend send it to them (and hey, don't be that friend unless you've asked if it's okay).
Explicit fanart posted in fandom spaces? Not harassment.
Fic and art that stays behind the fandom wall? When no contact is made, there is no harassment.
It is not the existence of the fantasy that causes problems, it's the celebrities constantly having to hear about it. That's harassment.
Art existing, fic existing, discussions or fantasies existing do not constitute harassment. Someone writing fanfic and sharing it with their friends is not forcing it onto the celebrity. Someone expressing a sexual desire to a third party is not forcing either the desire or the act on the celebrity.
Thoughts are not actions.
This is a hill I will die on. This is a hill we should all die on, honestly, but as a someone who grew up with OCD, the fact that my intrusive thoughts don't alter reality is really fucking important.
Being out in the sunlight will not kill my friends. Calling the wrong phone number will not result in my family dying over the following few days.
Having a sexual impulse, having desire, does not itself alter reality. Saying those thoughts out loud, admitting that someone is hot, that they have chemistry with a costar? Writing it down to share? Has as little impact on reality as the rituals I had to repeat endlessly as a kid to keep the Bad away.
RPF is not an act of assault. It is not, inherently, harassment.
Is fandom really bad at keeping the fourth wall up? Yeah. There are a lot of people who harass celebrities and think it's fine, because the celebrity is rich and they can just go cry into their money. (To be clear, I think that's bullshit.) But again, constantly, endlessly, it's what people do that matters.
“You’d have done the same,” said Lily. “No,” said Granny. “I’d have thought the same, but I wouldn’t have done it.” “What difference does that make, deep down?” “You mean you don’t know?” said Nanny Ogg.

You ought to learn how the tags on this website work, the definition of pedophilla, and how to prevent trivialising acts of pedophilla against children. Focus your efforts on real children, instead of bitching about authors aging characters up, ie. Imagining them as fictional adults and not thinking about abusing fictional children.
Your behaviour is not productive, and not benefiting anyone. Advocate for real children being sexually abused, it will be a far better use of your time. + Puritanism is inherently bad and hinders on depriving us of our rights.
ok
[edit] oh mb i didnt actually read it gimme a sec b4 i reply
[edit2] the excessive use of the tags were on purpose, just scroll if u find that annoying or send someone asks whos constantly doing it
im aware of how they work, it was just a way to get peoples attention cuz we all know nobody would see it without them. im also now aware of the fact i may have over done it with the tags, i didn’t register how many i “clogged up”
u couldve moved along instead of wasting UR time writing this
even if its not real its just… weird to do theres nothing more to say
the post wasnt meant to say “pedophillia against real children isnt as important as aging up anime kids and we shouldnt pay attention to them” just seeing how many people agree with me abt whats on that post and if u dont or js dont think its important dont bother interacting please🙏🏾
i do agree w u that we should advocate for real children going through sa which im pretty sure a lot of people are already doing, but i wanted to bring to light how normalised js writing smut for minors(although fictional) is and how justifying it by saying “its a character” or saying “i aged them up” is strange
part of my point is writing smut involving underage anime characters, even if they are "aged up" or fictional, is still inappropriate and can contribute to the normalization of harmful behaviors irl as well as minors objectification because even if they’re “aged up” in your head it doesnt erase the fact you’re fantisizing over a fictional character who is meant to be treated and viewed as a child
also idfk what puritans rlly are only that they’re a different version of catholic which i dont know of either so idk what u mean there
this was written late at night if sum doesnt make sense lmk have a great day
btw im adding tags AGAIN to spite u 💋(referring to all that went in my asks to complain abt it)
thats all im saying for now im going to bed 🫡

This gif is shit - sorry for that Since it's Valentine's Day here where I am, I thought of "giving" my favourite fanfic-writers some love because they give us so much love during the whole year with their awesome creations! I refuse to pick fave stories, so I'm going to link to their masterlist instead! So buckle up because this is going to be a long ride...
But first...some warnings:
Warning 1: A lot of the writers mentioned below write RPF!!! RPF stands for Real Person FICTION! It's fiction about a real person!! I repeat, it's fiction! If you're not comfortable with that, then you have to skip those fics.
Warning 2: Almost all the writers I post here have 18+ fics! So please, if you're underage, don't interact with them. Take a look at their warnings and all, and if you find something that doesn't fit you - don't read it! Simple as that! No need to send stupid asshole hate on anon!
Ok, are you ready?
@joejoequinnquinn Kay is my darling, ok? She's such a wonderful and beautiful person and simply perfect and since this perfection isn't enough she can write! Like damn! She has a way to play with words, it makes me feel things I didn't know I could feel. So do yourself a favour and read her stuff, like AND reblog it, and believe me you will be a different person! - Masterlist
@quinnypixie If you're a fan of Joseph Quinn and do not know Stevie or her writing, I don't know what you're doing here? It doesn't even take 0,5 seconds to get invested in her stories and in her characters and ... you're going to end up obsessed, but it's a beautiful obsession, believe me. - Masterlist
@choke-me-joey I'm a perv...I don't hide it. I like sex. All kinds of sex - there is no limit for me. I try everything out. Especially when it comes to reading about sex. So if smut would be a drug, then Kat would be my favourite drug-dealer. That's for sure. But she doesn't only write smut, you find all kind of stories in her masterlist, especially a very great Eddie story that she's currently writing. In addition to that, she's soon going to ruin us with fluff & angst, and I'm so here for it! - Masterlist (Since Kat is shadowbanned on her account - take a look and follow her on her main: @choke-me-eddie)
@ceriseheaven I don't have to say much about Cherry, do I? I mean, if you're here, you've come across her absolute perfect stuff. In addition to that, Cherry is one of the sweetest and nicest person I've seen on Tumblr. She gets a complete innocent ask and turns it into a masterpiece that leaves you like a lost puppy. I love seeing her and her writing on my dash - Masterlist
@icallhimjoey I have never, in my life, been so deep in desperation when reading her famous 5-parts. Especially when they aren't finished. I want to rip my hair out like every. single. time. No exception. So, grab some coffee or tea, open her masterlist and join us, the cumcum twats. - Masterlist
@quinnsbower If you take a look at Luna's masterlist you'll find EVERYTHING there. They write for all characters Joe has played, plus some (very good) rpf. Every story of them is absolutely fantastic and very beautiful written. - Masterlist
These are the ones I wanted to name explicit, please understand that I can't write some nice words to all the perfect writers out there since it would definitely break this site. But here are the following writers, I totally recommend to check out, read their stuff and reblog ♥
@chaoticgood-munson | @cinemaquinn | @corrodedcherry | @eagerbby | @faithinus | @ghostinthebackofyourhead | @hard-candy-writing | @harrys-four-nipples | @hopelesswrites | @indouloureux | @joemazzmatazz | @josephfakingquinn | @justsomestoriessx | @ladyfogg | @lokis-army-77 | @msgexymunson | @munsonsgirl71 | @mybffjoe | @mypoisonedvine | @palomahasenteredthechat | @pedroschka | @prettyboyeddiemunson | @punk-in-docs | @quinnkeerys | @silkscream | @spiderrrling | @stranger-nightmare | @usedtobecooler | @userquinn | @witchy-munson | @xcatnapsx
To all the blogs tagged in this post: Thank you so much for your writing!!! You don't know what impact you and your perfect written words have on our lives...MY LIFE!!! You make this earth a better place. Your stories are doing a greater work than any other person could do! ♥ I love you all ♥ Happy Valentine's day ♥

Genuinely curious as to if you asked permission to use Rachel’s characters and she said yes or if you just decided Lore Olympus is popular enough to make a fan comic of and are hoping you don’t receive a cease and desist? Can anyone create a remake comic of original content and just change what you don’t like about it and it’s considered legal if you say the characters belong to the original creator? There is plenty of disappointing media out there that could be remade. I understand you cannot use their characters for profit so is just posting it ok?
Yes, anyone can, because it's called fanfiction lmao Obviously in my case the term "fan" is being used loosely here as at this point it's more like "foe"fiction LMAO but the same principles apply. Unless I try to claim LO is my own creation or make a profit off Rekindled, I should be in the clear. If legal action was taken against me then it would set a precedent against all forms of fanfiction, rewrite, redraw, etc. content around LO which are all essentially doing the same thing Rekindled is doing. I think people tend to view Rekindled as somewhat of an "exception" that's vulnerable to legal action because it's an actual weekly comic put into practice in the same playing field as LO (though they're on massively different bases obviously LOL), but there's not much more separating it from the LO redraw accounts or even the genuine fan accounts that have learned how to draw in Rachel's style (and use it to make their own LO self-inserts and whatnot). I had the time and resources and experience to do what I do through Rekindled, but every redraw, rewrite, fanfiction, etc. account are making the exact same statement I am, whether intentionally or not - "I do/don't like the canon, but/so here's what I think it would be like if it went like this".
There is definitely plenty of media out there that could be remade, and a lot of them are by the fanfiction writers out there who are filling that niche within their respective fandoms. LO is the one I want to do because it's the one that interests me and compels me the most to rewrite.
Not to mention, it's already a bold statement in and of itself to say that I'm "using Rachel's characters", a statement that likely wouldn't hold up in court LMAO Her "characters" are literally just stylized self-insert versions of public domain figures. She did not write The Hymn to Demeter. She did not create Hades, or Persephone, or Hecate, or any of the other characters she writes about. She does not own an entire religion or its deities. The only thing that she really "owns" is the licensing rights to the name "Lore Olympus", and while the style of LO is very unique and identifiable, you can't trademark/copyright a style because that uproots the entire foundation of what art is (ironically no one has had an original idea SINCE the Greeks, we all just learn and adapt our styles based on other artists that we get inspired by and learn from).
Shit, there are series completely unrelated to LO that get harassed or otherwise warned that they could cross into "legal territory" with LO just because they're Greek myth comics. Punderworld, Theia Mania, H x P Ficlets, all of these are comics that also tackle the H x P myth, and while they aren't attempting to do the same thing as Rekindled (as they exist on their own terms) it's really disappointing when I see people talk about these comics purely through the scope of Lore Olympus as if LO invented Greek myth. If WT/Rachel tried to pull rank over the story's "characters", they'd be picking a fight with every other Greek myth comic, book, movie, etc. and they oughta know that's not a fight they're gonna win lol
So everything beyond LO's branding is, in and of itself, fanfiction. Rekindled is just another level deeper by being fanfiction of a fanfiction. As long as I'm not profiting off Lore Olympus' namesake or distributing my work with the misconception that I created LO, it's legally fine. Morally, I'm sure it doesn't exactly make me a saint to do it, it definitely took a lot of hubris for me to say "yeah I don't like how you wrote your story enough that I felt the need to rewrite it completely" and I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking doing so is icky. There are certain lines I won't cross - I don't use the general LO hashtags because my content is very critical and my work isn't really for the fans, I don't encourage anyone to "show Rachel" what I do here because none of what I do here is obligated to be seen by her (and I know it wouldn't be in her best interest to see it anyways, she's literally said that she doesn't like criticism so why tf would I wanna show her a comic that exists to criticize her work lol), and I'm not planning on posting it to Webtoons because that's Rachel's territory. I don't want to overstep both in the legal sense and in the moral one. I think it's more than enough for me to just post my stuff here for the people who are seeking it, and not profit off it or directly affiliate it with LO/Rachel beyond crediting.
All that said, in a moral and legal sense, what I'm doing is literally the basis of fanfiction, and I wouldn't be going to such lengths and spending this much time every week putting out episodes every week if I never cared about LO and how it made us all feel, even if some of us don't love it as much as we used to.

Okay, okay, oh my God OK I have such a perfect scenario for the smut with non-con w Genji (Female reader please!)
Genji was set to marry reader for family status and offspring. But when Hanzo killed him, he never got the chance to even marry her (she despised him because he was a playboy, so she supported and helped orchestrate Genjis death). So like, he finds out about all that and corners reader. And he's set into making sure the Shimada bloodline continues with her. Bonus points if they argue and reader tries to kill him before the smut.
Some little notes before you read - this request was turned into a commission and I do have permission to post this under this ask. There was more info added that's not in this ask specifically as it was spoken about in DM's and the word count is larger than the usual request. The commissioner has asked to remain anonymous.
Tumblr media
Genji x Fem!Reader
Word count: 4831
Warnings: Non-con
It was going to happen, whether you wanted it to or not. The families had already agreed that you would be marrying Genji Shimada, but you knew of his nature. You hated the way he was. While yes, he was sweet, he just wasn’t the man you wanted to marry. He was a playboy, he wouldn’t care about you or your feelings, only wanting to go to parties almost every night, get drunk and sleep about with whomever he laid eyes on.
You had heard the stories; the many stories about the Shimada and his ways. The way he would do what he wanted to get what he wanted. He’d get blackout drunk some nights and then wake up in bed surrounded by numerous females. It disgusted you that you were set to marry this boy, yet nobody seemed to care.
It pissed you off that nobody would listen to your demands. For once in your life you wanted control over the one thing you should’ve had a say in from the very start and marrying Genji was definitely something you didn’t want to do.
You tried to protest, but your parents would not budge. They had already made up their minds, and you had no other choice but to marry the man they had chosen for you. You were scared and didn't know what to fully expect, but you knew that you had to do this for your parents. You hoped that maybe, just maybe, you could learn to love this man despite his playboy ways.
There was almost a year before your inevitable marriage. A year to get away, to plan something else, anything to not marry this boy. Hell, running away would be better than staying there and marrying someone you didn't love. You had never been in love, only loving the fictional characters you would read about or see on tv, and you didn't want to marry someone you didn't feel anything for. You wanted to experience real love, to feel that connection with someone that you had heard so much about. You knew that if you stayed and married this boy, you would regret it for the rest of your life.
Despite the constant hatred towards him, you grew closer to the other Shimada brother, Hanzo. It was almost as if you two should’ve been together, not you and Genji. You could relax around him, knowing he was loyal and true to his words. The laughter the pair of you shared was joyous, something of which you never had with Genji. You could open up to Hanzo about anything and everything, and he would do the same. Sharing stories in the night time before you had to leave, wandering the garden in the afternoons and even sitting in the tea room with the older brother felt more natural than anything you had ever witnessed.
Being with Genji for the little time he would stay was almost torture for you. He would share stories of his drunken nights, seeming to forget that he was marrying you in little over a year. You would listen on, disgust ever present on your face as he rambled on, and god forbid he ever went into detail about those nights. Every part of you wanted him to just shut up, to tape that mouth closed for an hour and have some ‘quality’ time with him.
No matter how many times you tried to change the subject, Genji was so self-absorbed that he wouldn't let you get a word in edgewise. You tried to talk about your life, but he just kept talking about himself. You tried to tell him a story you had overheard, but he just kept talking about himself. You were starting to get frustrated, but you knew that there was no point in trying to talk to him. He was too far up his own ass to listen to anyone else, and clearly not interested in talking about you.
Hanzo saw this, he saw practically everything. The attempts you made in trying to be happy with his brother, the annoyed glances you give off to the side whenever Genji spoke. The older brother knew the futile attempts were wearing you thin and soon enough, he was waiting for you to snap. All he wanted to do was to reassure you that it was okay, but he knew that you didn’t like his brother, and he understood completely.
The brothers weren’t exactly seeing eye to eye either. Hanzo, being the oldest, had a moral duty to uphold. No matter the orders given to him by his father or anyone above him, he would go ahead and complete them. The younger Shimada, however, rarely if at all received any commands, being able to live a carefree life, and that’s exactly what he did.
Hanzo was deeply hurt by this, although he never spoke about it. While he was busy being the Shimada's pet, obeying every command given, his brother was out there enjoying life. Hanzo felt like he was being punished for something he didn't do, while his brother was getting away with everything. He was angry and resentful, and he began to question his loyalty to the Shimada clan.
One was imprisoned, one was free.
How was that fair?
If Hanzo could have his way, he would have taken you away from the torture you had been selected for. He would have avoided his father and the rest of the family, only wanting to be with you at his side as a potential husband should be. He couldn't bear to see you like this, and he knew that Genji wouldn't change. No matter what Genji said to try and reassure his brother, Hanzo knew he couldn't keep his word.
Hanzo loved you deeply, and he knew that somewhere deep inside that you loved him too. But he also knew that his father would never approve of the relationship. His father had already chosen a husband for you, and he would not tolerate any disobedience. Hanzo knew that if you were to marry Genji that you would be miserable for as long as you lived and he was not ready for you to suffer at his brothers expense.
But Hanzo couldn't just stand by and do nothing. He had to try to save you. He had to find a way to get you out of this place. He knew it would be dangerous, but he was willing to risk everything to be with you.
He spent countless nights awake, looking up at the ceiling as he thought about how to save you from his brother. It was a strange feeling to have, but he couldn’t let this entire marriage go ahead. Inside, Hanzo was beginning to hate his brother more, the way Genji was with you kept his blood boiling.
Not only that, but the other Shimada’s were beginning to catch on, noticing the way Genji was behaving. They knew of his playboy tendencies, but they believed that the moment he was engaged that it would all come to an end; that he would mature and be a prosperous Shimada with a wife and child.
That wasn’t the case at all.
He was still sneaking out and partying, he was still getting black-out drunk and sleeping around all whilst being engaged to you. He was a disgrace to the Shimada clan and the elders all collectively agreed.
Genji Shimada hadn’t changed in the slightest.
Something had to be done.
It was a stressful few weeks for everyone. Emotions were high and the stress was only rising as the hours passed by. Your thread was wearing thin as you wandered the garden with your future husband, listening to him ramble on about the previous nights encounter.
You wondered if he was doing it just to spite you, to make you hate him. You couldn’t quite put it together. If you were set to marry him, why was he talking about his fuck buddies? Does he not realise what he is doing?
It was a tough pill to swallow for Hanzo as he watched on. Murdering his own brother… It shook it off, it was all a bad dream. He kept telling himself that over the passing days since he was called by the elders. There was no way he was going to kill his own brother, no matter how unruly he was. Hanzo tried to think of another way, but the elders were right. For the sake of the Shimada future, Genji has to go.
“Couldn’t you just send him away?!” Hanzo practically shouted.
“What if he comes back?” One elder spoke out from behind the sake cup.
“So what if he comes back? He is my brother!” He furrowed his brows in anger.
“Hanzo.” The cold tone made the older brother freeze. “This is for the Shimada clan. The future of us depends on you.”
Hanzo sat there in silence for a moment, trying to think of any other way to spare his brothers life. “If I refuse?”
“That wouldn’t be a wise decision on your part.”
“Excuse me?” Spite rose within Hanzo, anger reaching a newer level.
“For the sake of the Shimada future, Genji has to go. Make sure he is truly dead.” The elder waved his hand, dismissing Hanzo from the meeting.
The elders saw the reservation within the older brother and called for you some days later. They asked about your feelings towards Genji. Part of you wanted to lie, to say everything was okay because you were downright terrified of the Shimada clan, despite having been around them for some time now. Nothing could’ve prepared you for what they were going to say.
“We apologise for his behaviour. We thought he would’ve matured by this stage.” One elder spoke out.
“No, no. It is okay.” You replied sheepishly, the anxiety rising inside as you sat across the table from four of the Shimada elders.
The elder that spoke before shook their head before speaking out again. “We have a proposition for you.”
“I’m sorry?” A sudden daunting pressure sat atop your shoulders as you stared over at the four, confusion present on your face.
“You see, we have noticed the resentment. It’s apparent each time you’re next to him.” Their words made you look away nervously. “Genji has to go.”
Their words only confused you more. “Go?”
“Yes. Killed, to be exact.”
“Killed?” Your eyes widen in shock, before a sudden realisation hits you. If Genji is killed, you’d be free. It’s a chance to get on with your life, away from this boy.
“Yes.” One of the other elders spoke out. “However it is done is up to you. It has to be done; for the sake of the Shimada clan and your future.”
“If Genji is gone, you have a bright future ahead of you, [y/n].” Their words were laced with something sinister before they waved you off, saying nothing else.
So, whilst you were wandering the garden with Genji, him talking about the girl he fucked the other night, you were pondering ways on how to get out of the entire situation. When you look up, noticing Hanzo over in the distance, your heart sinks. Does he know?
Rain threatened to come down as the clouds rolled in, causing both you and the ninja to head under the shelter.
The older Shimada began walking over, a small smile on his face as he looked at you. Genji, upon noticing the presence on his brother, immediately shut up, and for once, the silence was welcome. A smile embraced your face as Hanzo stood before you, bowing slightly in greeting.
“[y/n].” Your name sounded natural to the older brother, something of which he wished he could say more. “It’s good to see you again.”
You laugh gently, the smile not faltering. “I could say the same to you, Hanzo.”
“Anija, I thought you were busy today.” Genji had an awkward smile on his face as he spoke.
“Something came up.” Hanzo’s voice shifted into something colder.
The younger brother huffed, pulling out his phone and scrolling through the apps on the screen.
“Perhaps I could borrow you for a moment, [y/n]?” Hanzo asked after looking at the dismissive posture of his brother.
Genji’s ears perked up as he looked up from his phone. “Perfect timing, actually. I’ve got plans. Take care of her, will you?” He kissed your cheek before practically running off.
You and Hanzo look at each other, a dismissive look plastered on both faces.
“I am… Sorry.” He spoke out, tone gentle and caring.
“Don’t be. It’s not your fault.” You shrug awkwardly. “I actually want to talk to you about something.”
Hanzo nodded. “I do too.”
You smile warmly, finally feeling somewhat happy that you’re going to have a normal conversation with at least one Shimada brother.
The pair of you sat under the shelter, mindlessly watching the rain as you spoke about your worries and concerns. When Hanzo spoke about what the elders asked of him, there was a sort of relief spreading throughout you.
“If it’s any consolation, Hanzo, while I know he is your brother, maybe it’s for the best.” You sigh, not wanting to hurt the older brother more. “It came more of a shock to me that they had asked me, that’s all.”
Hanzo nodded, giving your shoulder a gentle squeeze. “They shouldn’t have asked you. Do not put that burden on yourself.” He paused, watching your expression change slightly. “Let me take care of things, okay? It is the least I can do.”
“Thank you…” With watery eyes, you embrace the older brother, feeling him pull you in closer as he returns the gesture. You look out to the garden, watching the rain dampen the soil, small droplets falling from the cherry blossoms above.
There was a growing tension as the days merged together. You had grown distant with Genji, not that he noticed. Instead of being with your future husband, you spent more time with the older brother. He brought up the elders request from time to time which soured the mood, but the pair of you threw ideas at each other at how it was to happen. It pained you somewhat, helping Hanzo with planning the murder of his brother, but if Hanzo was going ahead with it, you knew that the elders really meant business.
You would reassure Hanzo the best you could, reminding him that he didn’t have a choice. It was kill or be killed, so to speak. He thought it was a test, a moment of truth of whether or not he was strong enough to be leading the Shimada clan, but he would remember the meeting as if it just happened.
As the night came in, the lanterns around the castle lit up, the windows of the building slowly glowing a soft orange as lights switched on.
Hanzo had requested Genji to meet him that night, a ‘scheduled training session’ he called it. The older brother arrived early, mentally preparing himself for what was going to happen. He paced back and forth, muttering and mumbling to himself when he heard soft footsteps enter the room. He looked up, facing his brother.
“Are you well enough to fight?” Genji asks, head cocked to the side. “You look pale.”
“I am fine.” Hanzo bit back. He gestures over to weapon rack across the room, his sword already in his hand. “Let’s not waste any time. I’m sure you have somewhere to be.”
“Is that sarcasm I sense from you, anija?” Genji chuckled, not fully aware of what was about to happen.
Hanzo only scoffed in response. He was about to speak up before Genji made his way over to the rack, hesitantly holding his sword that he picked up.
“Must be a serious session if we’re using the real things.”
“Yes.” Hanzo lied. “It was requested-”
“By the elders. Yeah.” Genji dismissed it, turning to face his brother.
The two brothers stare at each other, the tension rising by the second. Neither moved, waiting for the other to move first. Hanzo’s eyes narrowed, his grip growing tight. The younger brother adjusted his grip, a slight uneasy feeling settling in his stomach.
It was like the older brother just snapped mentally, an anger he had never felt before rose within him as he charged forward towards his younger brother. He had his orders and there was no other option, no matter how many times he thought it out. Genji had to go.
Genji followed suit, approaching his brother with a slightly quicker speed. Metal collided with metal as their swords connected and clashed, the scraping of the swords echoing around the room as the two fought. It took a few hits for Genji to realise that this was no average training session. He realised a little too late when he saw the intent behind his brothers eyes.
It all happened too quickly for the younger brother to react. Hanzo was faster and far more skilled in the art of wielding the sword. Even Genji’s screams didn’t slow him down as blood coated the ground around his brothers body.
The pain was unbearable for the younger boy, but no matter the screaming or crying, the assault continued.
The bloodlust ran deep within the older brother, a blind rage taking over. By the time he had come to, he was sitting against the wall, blood painting his hands and arms red. His breathing was shaky, stomach churning as he looked at the sight before him.
His younger brother laid there, unmoving, surrounded by red. The darkness slowly closed in as Hanzo stood, shaky legs barely able to hold him up as he stepped forward, using the wall to help him walk. He left the room, regret sinking in almost immediately as he made his way back to his own room and into the bathroom, beginning to scrub and scratch at his arms to removed the guilt.
He had just killed his brother. Your future husband. For the sake of the Shimada clan.
Hanzo didn’t know what happened after that. Genji was ‘disposed’ of, his body no longer within the Shimada castle. What happened, he couldn’t figure out. So when the elders asked about Genji’s body, Hanzo could only suggest that he got rid of it before he blacked out for the third time that night.
However, that wasn’t the case.
Genji was still alive. Somehow.
Months after the whole ordeal, after major physical enhancements to his body, Genji was making his way back to the one place he had called home; Hanamura. The Shimada castle was never home to the ninja, but outside of those walls, thats where he was most accepted.
But first, he was on his way to find you.
Somehow he found out about the entire plan and he made it his personal mission to make you pay for the damages you had caused.
It didn’t take him long to track you down, and he watched you, waiting for the perfect time to approach you and make you suffer. His eyes never left your form, watching you be happy while going about your life.
He watched for days, watching you with who he presumed was your husband. Someone of high status, he figured, someone Genji never lived up to be. The anger continued to rise, you got to be happy, to live your life without fear of rejection anymore, whilst he had to suffer with this half-cyborg body that he never asked for. It infuriated him.
When you were alone and walking down the street, he took his chance; following you closely before shoving you into the passing alleyway. His hands were wrapped tight around your arms as he held you up against the wall, body pressing yours against the coarse bricks.
“What the fuck is your problem?” He growled into your ear.
“Excuse me? What is my problem?” You spit back before you remembered who the voice belonged to. “No… You should be dead.” You struggle against his grip, trying to push yourself away from the wall to gain some leverage over him. “How the fuck are you still alive?”
“Your little charade with my family failed.” He mocks, feeling you push back against him. Without much effort, he pushes his body further into yours, eliciting a small yelp from you.
There was a pain forming in your arms as his grip tightened, the pressure of being sandwiched between him and the wall making it harder for you to breathe.
“You will pay for what you have done to me.” Genji’s voice was low against the side of your neck, breath hot as it hit your cool skin. “You transpired to kill me, along with my family. You’re just as guilty as them.” He moved one of his hands down your side while the other still held onto your arms in a vice grip. His fingers brushed passed your skin, the cool metal practically shocking you as you inhaled a sharp breath. “Traitors should be dealt with…”
You close your eyes tight, mind running rampant with images of what was going to happen. “Says the one who has probably slept with half of Hanamura-”
A sharp pinch to your skin caused you to yelp out once again, but the ninja never ceased his movements. His hand moves lower, toying with the waistband of your pants.
“Don’t you dare-” You look at him through the corner of your eye for the first time since your encounter. His appearance came as a shock to you. Metal and skin mixed with eyes of spite. “You’re a monster, Shimada.” You wince, trying to move away from him but he only forces himself into you more.
“Or what?” He smirked with sinister intent, something of which he rarely ever did. This new hatred he had was something he was growing to like. “Gonna attempt to kill me yourself?” He ignored your remark about his body, there were more pressing matters to attend to.
You grit your teeth. “Don’t test me.”
The ninja huffed, hand pulling down your pants and underwear in one swift motion. He saw your body freeze, and not because of the cold. A grin plastered his face as he gripped your hip tightly.
“Scream and I will end your life here.” His voice threatened. Genji’s hand was rough as it tugged at your thigh, the other still vice gripping your arms behind your back.
All fight was fleeting your body as you stay pinned to the wall, but anger was ever present in your mind. He should’ve been dead. How was he still alive?
Closing your eyes tightly, you braced what was coming next, trying to keep your sanity stable as you felt his hand roam over your chest, grabbing at your breast in a harsh manner. The pain stung as his breathing hitched in his throat, clearly enjoying the moment. It took what power you had to catch him off guard, somehow freeing a hand and delivering an elbow to his side, but he was quicker.
The hand that was grabbing your wrists moved to grab your head, slamming it into the brick wall, fingers tangled within your hair as he whispered menacingly into your ear.
“You will pay for that.” His words were sharp, but the pain in your head was sharper, a small trickle of blood slowly falling down your temple. With your ears ringing, you could only just make out the sound of ventilation, a hiss of metal before his other hand grabbed your mid section. He pulled you back slightly but kept your head pressed against the brick.
Inhaling deeply, you wait, trying to push whatever free thought to the front part of your mind. Something, someone, help.
As the brick wall imprinted your cheek, a slight adjustment from behind had your eyes widen but before you could even register what was happening, the ninja behind thrusted into you, cock hitting deep inside, which elicited a raspy scream from you. He was quick to cover your mouth, hand pulling your head back to shut you up.
The pain was unlike anything you had felt before, and no matter your struggles, he kept going. The friction making you wince as he thrusted again, not seeming to care about you cries for him to stop. His hips connected over and over with yours, metal and skin colliding harshly as he kept his grasp tight around your mouth.
You bite down against his fingers, hearing him suck in a breath as your muffled cries carried on, tears spilling over your cheeks. It felt like glass being rubbed back and forth over your skin with no end in sight, and with the added pain in your head, you prayed it would end soon.
While keeping you quiet, his free hand groped and pulled at your chest, tweaking a nipple from under your shirt. He was rough, and he wasn’t letting go. A sharp pain in your chest made you wince again, more tears falling as your body shook from fear, from not being able to fight back against the younger Shimada brother.
Genji enjoyed it though, much more than anybody he had ever screwed before. The tightness of your cunt, the muffled screaming and tears; it turned him on more as he snapped his hips against you, hitting the deepest points inside. He was fucking you raw, feeling the friction himself, a little too dry for his liking but he felt you gradually lubricate which only made him grin more.
His head connects with your neck, sharp teeth biting down onto the flesh. His voice was low as he speaks.
“The bloodline will continue.”
He didn’t let up, pulling your head back, exposing more of your throat as he continued to mercilessly fuck you.
Your hands grab at anything they could reach, his arms, his sides, something to hold onto, to dig your fingers into. The struggle only made him go harder, a harsh rhythm as he bruises your insides. A relentless pace that doesn’t seem to end.
Sobs and tears rolled, cheeks hot and wet. Your eyes rolled back, closing tightly as you tried to take your mind away from the assault, but to no avail; your body jumping with each slap, with each time his cock hit your cervix.
It was brutal. This shouldn’t be happening…
His grip never faltered on your body, harsh tugs and pinches threatening to bruise all over. It’s what he wanted, a reminder of what’s currently happening, but forever will you remember what he has done. It’s a fate worse than death, hell, death would certainly be better than being raped like this. For Genji, it was a miracle nobody had found this scenario, but for you it was anything but.
You could feel him get sloppy, rhythm faltering ever so slightly. He was close.
Biting down on his fingers again, you scream out, shaking your head, but nothing came from it, only muffled cries. There was no fight left in you, body feeling broken and definitely used.
Genji pushed you back against the wall, making you arch your back as your face scraped down the coarse bricks. His hand grabbed at your hair, metal fingers getting tangled among the locks as his thrusts got somehow deeper. Low groans and growls escaped the ninja as his other hand guided your hips against his cock.
The silence was deafening as one final thrust causes you to see stars, the pressure and tension within proving too much to handle as the ninja bites down against your neck again, marking you with his teeth. A warmth filled you as your eyes widened, breathlessly panting with pained whimpers following.
No… I can’t… You thought, strained breaths filling the air before you feel him loosen his grip, sliding his cock out of you painfully.
Genji watched you for a moment, hands letting go of you as he tidies himself up, marvelling at the mess he had caused, watching the cum dribble out of you and down your inner thigh.
The emptiness only burned more as your pussy ached, a bruising feeling causing your legs to shake and buckle beneath you. A sinister chuckle and faint distant footsteps was all you heard before blacking out, body too tired to fight to stay awake as it falls to the asphalt.
Genji had completed his task, to ruin your life, leaving your semi-lifeless body on the floor much like his brother did to him all those months ago. He vanished without so much of a trace, his body warm with anger and resentment for you. Upon a ledge not far from the place of his assault, he watched you lay there, the slow rise and fall of your chest were the only signs of life.
It was up to fate whether or not someone would find you.

I don't follow or keep track of tiktok couples who got famous by making their relationship their job. Queer or straight couples, because I think that's a bad idea, but that's a whole seperate post (that we could relate to jikook as well if you want).
Oh please make one. I also think one of the major reason they became so private is to keep their relationship safe, not just from military or anything but just to keep it private and safe as possible. The reason nick and Pierre broke up was they started to feel like their relationship became more of a brand than an actual relationship. Like posting about your partner or private life once in a while is ok, especially if you are at two different places career wise, but making it your whole job and personality is definitely hard as gradually it will be just job and playing out characters for media than actual relationship.
Lowkey, saw this guy Chris from tiktok who said most of what I could say about it, he went through his own tiktok relationship public breakup too, it was awhile ago I believe. A relationship is between 2 people. You can share without giving it up for public consumption. You can share some stories and moments and your love without jeopardizing your privacy if you want to. And that's important.
Your intimacy as a couple together is meant for the 2 of you, not for people to invite themselves into. Tom Holland and Zendaya are a really good more recent example of a couple who does this. Jikook do not owe anyone confirmation of their relationship together (romantic or not) for it to exist. Their bond does not exist for our enjoyment. It's theirs. They can share without outting themselves. They can share without confirmation. They can not share without suddenly becoming enemies. They are real people, not characters in stories. Making your relationship what you base your content on or what you talk about all the time, makes things more fictional (for lack of a better word, it's not quite what I mean, but hopefully yall understand) at times because you don't just get to experience things, you have to turn them into a story for your audience too. And there is pressure to give the audience what they want. No one is owed anything here. From anyone online or from BTS or from Jikook. Everyone's relationships are their own.
I don't want Jikook to come out or confirm their relationship or anything. I want them to stay safe. I want them to only ever come out if and when they feel safe to do so. And if that's never, that's fine by me. I'd love it for the representation given on such a global scale, but I'd hate it because I worry about their safety enough ALREADY. Lol

castiel headcannons | my candy love
ok so i have this really annoying habit of inviting fictional characters to live in my head rent free for god knows how long. specially when they are assholes. specially when they're the type of assholes i'm really fond of. specially when they're castiel veilmont.
i also have the even more annoying habit of making extremes out of these characters in my head, but oh well... it be like that sometimes.
anyways, it's 3am where i live and i cannot sleep so here's some of the extremes i've taken castiel to during the last few years i've been obsessed with him:
so, first things first, my man is a genius. i'm not talking the einstein kinda genius, but more of a mozart or michelangelo or something like that. he likes art and he understands it and he is so good at it. like, otherworldly good.
he has an awesome vocal range, but he can rock the higher register. and he can also rock the growls so that makes for an interesting combination.
i don't care what others say, i just know castiel can cook. and i'm not talking instant noodles or frozen pizza either, i'm telling you my man can cook. call it perks of living almost alone from a young age, but he is a really great chef (and a really great lover, so be ready for a lot of breakfast treats if you're dating him).
although he is a singer (and a pretty good one at that), castiel just loves bad karaoke nights. like, all out awful singing: out of rhythm, out of breath, out of tune. he's paid to be a good singer all other nights of the year, so he definitely seizes the opportunity to just be a shitty one for a while.
songwriter is coded into his dna. like, waking in the middle of the night, genius ideas, music out of everything type of songwriter. dude writes like he's running out of time.
his lyrics are so deep, always with beautiful metaphors and the kind of thing that just guts you every. fucking. time.
or they're just vulgar nonsense. there's literally no in between.
can sleep anywhere. tour bus? yeah, sleeping. library table? long gone. the most uncomfortable chair in existence? catch him going. his bed, though? forget it. after midnight his brain simply starts running a mile a minute.
not. a. morning. person.
no, seriously. he hates mornings with a passion, specially during hsl. probably because he's always going to sleep horribly late, but he hates having to wake early for anything at all. the only exception is if he's really really really excited about something.
he can hold his liquor, but he hardly ever drinks enough for it to be necessary because he doesn't like the idea of losing control of himself.
stopped smoking somewhere after high school. he was never really dependant on nicotine and after a while (specially after crowstorm) he just stopped altogether. the sensation was nice and all, but kinda of not worth it anymore.
was bullied into becoming crowstorm's vocalist.
also hates instagram with a passion. shows up once every three months, posts a single story (after his manager grilled him for weeks to make any appearance at all) and promptly vanishes again.
would get rid of his phone if he could but, since he can't, he just isn't much of a user.
castiel please stop telling paparazzi to fuck off please for the love of god the press team is begging you stop trying to rip their cameras out of their hands please please
can be very polite and well mannered when he wants to (but he never does)
my boy is a charmer. like, literally everyone falls for him. and then he opens his mouth and just manages to be the biggest asshole ever.
(he claims it's also part of his charm)
lots of people speculate about how many plastic surgeries he's had. partly because he's very pretty, but mainly because of the nose and the eyes. no one believes his nose wasn't bought, and lots of people think he wears contacts.
(in truth he is terrified of plastic surgery, but, ironically, if he wasn't his nose would probably be top of the list of things he would wanna change)
anyways i could spend literal days talking with how much time i've spent with him inside this silly little brain of mine. these are some of the headcannons i could think of on spot but god knows i have so many more...

Please read the whole post before commenting. I’ve never made a public post like this before so bear with me if it seams long-winded.
Recently @hg-aneh has been bombarded with extremely upsetting comments since they confirmed that they do ship Crowley and Muriel.
First off, it is never okay to dog pile on someone who is not already in the wide scale public eye. Calling someone a pedophile because of fictional ships is never okay. Lashing out at someone is not going to help them see your point of view, it automatically puts them on the defense and no one makes any progress either way. If you see someone has commented the same thing you were going to say, don’t. It is a terrible feeling to see 100 notifications and know they will all be people tearing you apart.
Quelin Sepulveda is an adult. Muriel is canonically thousands of years old. They might find solace in Crowley, who I know would deeply care for them. Crowley is a character who fosters curiosity and wonder in other characters. Muriel has that inherently, and it is logical to assume that as Crowley is alone they would naturally come together in some way.
From Muriel’s perspective, Crowley is one of the first people to like them for simply being themselves. He is going to be their first constant in 6000 years that isn’t demeaning or critical. He will introduce them to earth and all the beautiful things within. (Just like he did with Aziraphale.) For the first time they will experience affection compassion; they will be important.
Crowley would have someone who needs and loves him. Muriel is also someone who isn’t critical and would see Crowley for who he really is. Muriel mirrors pre-fall Crowley in so many ways, it would be imposible for him not to care for them. They won’t shut him down like Aziraphale would, it would probably be easier to tell what they want.
Crowley also knows more about earth, heaven, and hell than any other being has except God and The Metatron. He understands the inherent traumas that heaven and hell inflict on everyone. He knows what’s coming. He knows what is at stake.
Throughout their life Muriel has only spoken to people once every 300 years. Yes they take records so they probably know some things, but only from Heaven’s point of view and without context. Most of those they do meet are unkind as they see Muriel as the lowest in their ranks. You can see how nervous they are when Saraqael brings them to speak to Uriel and Micheal about Gabriel’s matchbox. Muriel knows so little about earth that they have to be taught how to drink tea. They do not have any idea how to interact with anyone because they never got the chance to. During the season they are in an entirely new place with new people and they have no experience with any of it, so much so that they are easily manipulated twice. Once about Aziraphale and Crowley’s secret meeting, and again when Crowley gets them to “arrest” him. They don’t have enough experience to know that they even could be manipulated or abused. They think that everyone has their best interest at heart.
The knowledge gap between Crowley and Muriel’s is reminiscent of that of movies like Tron Legacy, Fifty First Dates, Fifth Element, the original Planet of the Apes, and Splash. If you have made it this far Pop Culture Detective does a great job at explaining it.
youtube
Muriel is definitely autism coded and autistic people are frequently infantilized, but most of us know basic things about the world. We haven’t been stuck in an empty room for thousands of years. It is common for those with immense trauma to find a romantic connection for the first person who was truly kind to them. That’s why doctors can’t date their patients, teachers can’t date their students, and therapist can’t date their clients. Muriel doesn’t even know what romance is or what it entails for them or Crowley. (Aziraphale has also been super autism coded this season so we don’t just have Muriel)
But that’s only the case for the current cannon. It’s okay to retcon things in your own works, to go through different scenarios with characters that would allow them to interact differently. It’s okay to wonder about different characters and see them as a couple. It’s always important to take a step back to see the whole picture before commenting on something like this. I love the Good Omens fandom, it has allowed me to be myself and meet new people. I don’t want this fandom to become a toxic place. We already have to deal with homophobia and transphobia bearing down on us from the outside. We just want to make and experience art together.
Thank you so much for reading through all of this, it is really important that we support each other right now and I hope that everybody, especially @hg-aneh is doing well (I can’t imagine how exhausting this whole ordeal has been). If this conversation does continue please do so from a place of respect. If you wish to bring anything else to my attention, please do so. I am always looking to learn more and I am always open to different ideas and ways of thinking.
Keep being beautiful beautiful humans, and take care of each other.
