There is not a heavenly religion on earth except that it has unanimously agreed on the subject of sleep being the twin half of death. Now you may ask why is this topic so important? It is for the simple reason that no one amongst us has ever known what lies at the other side of the curtain and it is not something that could be scientifically proved for no one that has passed through the gates of death has ever returned to tell us the tales of the other dimension. But here we are on earth, experiencing the twin half of death from day 1 and every single day of life. To me, I feel the entire day is a preparation for that grand final farewell we bid to our consciousness. Sleep is the portal to another dimension. How else do we even scarcely explain how haunting or how beautiful a dream could get such that in extreme cases we even may terribly sleepwalk or talk or even have ejaculations with deepest ever experience of orgasms? How could we possibly explain all of that except with the simple conclusion that there are dimensions to which our souls travel without our knowledge. This seemingly insignificant portal or gateway to another dimension - what if we could precisely pause the moment, when our consciousness slip away into that other dimension? What if one could stand precisely at that threshold of ultra millisecond where awakening and sleep split itself and divide? Why is this moment so important and so sacred because that's precisely where the mystery of life and death exist! That's like the highest pinnacle and summit of a mountain at which when you stand you could experience life at one end in all its vastness of consciousness and death at other end in all its vastness of subconsciousness. Is it possible for man to pause this precious moment, can it be put for observation? Can the marvels of both life and death be examined in this split second? Could it not be the constant repetition of every single day of our lives be an absolute training session to prepare for the grand finale of death - to be so super conscious that you could literally behold yourself between your last breath and the endless eternity after that at the very gate and portal to another dimension? How we have clearly wasted away this opportunity to prepare ourselves in trying to hit the mark every single night. So let it be something you try, when the lights are turned off, and when your eyelids are closed, darkness upon darkness, you slowly head towards that climax point of your day, the finishing line, to stand right there at the threshold and to witness both the worlds, will it be a possibility - i do not know...

so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

Danny looked down to the surly, scowling little de-aged Batman currently holding onto his hand, glaring up at the cashier with bright blue eyes.

Things had already been bad enough when he’d gotten caught in a fight in Gotham, but things went from bad to worse when a magician had hit Batman with a de-aging spell and then shoved them through a portal.

Into a different fucking dimension.

Because of course neither of their lives could be easy. And now the two of them were stuck in Iowa in the middle of nowhere, at a truck stop gas station, trying to go on a cross-country roadtrip to reach the nearest hero city and get home.

He looked up and smiled awkwardly, trying to come up with a name off the top of his head — one of the heroes called Batman ‘B’ when he got hit right? B for Batman, right. B… B… Bee… Bees.

“Buzz.” He said, and tried not to grimace as the cashier’s face warped with surprise. “Like the astronaut.”

This was gonna be a long trip.
