For Jewel Magecraft is it possible to use more magical energy than what the mage's Magic Circuit can output? What I mean is that if Rin used her jewels can she use more than 1000 units of magical energy at once, which is what her Circuit's maximum output is.

That's what the jewels are for. Well, one of the many things they're for. The only caveat is the big stuff requires big jewels (Rin's pendant or the Azoth dagger, for example) or a whole bunch of them. But with the latter, she could produce enough output to kill Heracles once. That's something really impressive.

i was talking a few days ago with my friends about how MAL has Rin FSN's name as "Rin Toosaka" and says "This is the correct Hepburn spelling which is what MAL uses. Do not change it" and it's still so silly

because to be clear like. yes "Toosaka" is technically a way you can write her name. There's a long o in there, "oo" is a way to write it if you want to avoid using the - technically most standard for Hepburn - macron (ō).

(Even if it's relatively rare, and I think aesthetically it's. Bad. One of the worst options.)

BUT

THE PROBLEM IS

"This is what MAL uses" IS A FUCKING LIE

IF IT WERE TRUE THEY'D SAY "Shiroo Emiya" AND "Sakura Matoo"

WHICH THEY DO NOT

that's the thing that gets me

if they were consistent on this then like, ok why but sure i get it, but they AREN'T so fuckin WHY

not even saying they have to use "Tohsaka Rin", just call her Rin Tousaka or whatever. THAT'S pretty much the standard for romanizing a long o. No one uses that double o! No one writes out Tookyoo!!! Stop!!!!!!!

Summary:

Another lovely summer goes by for Illyasviel von Einzbern. Taking a break from her magical girl duties, she enjoys her time off after collecting the Class Cards with her best friend Miyu Edelfelt.
