Hello again! I really appreciated the first reply you gave me and realized how much of a neat person you are, so I decided to ask you another question. Are you interested in creating any OCs? Either for Time Squad or something else? I literally just posted my first OCs for the show... and I still feel quite unconfident about them. The little girl Emily was created so that Otto could have a friend who is around his age. He's the only child in the show, so it would be nice to have other kids to relate to, even if they don't know about history as much as he does. They've known each other since they were babies (at least in my canon they did).

Also, what is your opinion on AUs? I personally think they bring a lot of creativity into the fandom. For example, I have an AU where Larry and Tuddrussel adopt Otto as a baby rather than a 8-year old... plus he never went to Sister Thornley's orphanage, so he never witnessed any abuse... just pure love and affection from a robot and time cop from the very beginning. Imagine a film noir version of Time Squad XD

You also got any fanfiction ideas or not? I have a ton of ideas up my sleeve, but most haven't made it to the planning stage yet.

It is alright if you don't have OCs, have fanfic ideas, or don't support AUs. I was just wondering. ;)

OCs and AUs are awesome, transformative fiction is the best!! I like your OCs! Your AU is like… imagine if Otto had an actual support network and wasn’t emotionally scarred lol. I’m getting Jetsons vibes, like a cozy, futuristic family comedy. <3 We also don’t have a woman-identifying robot in TS, so that’s cool to see! Your baby Otto AU is cute. It’s really hammered home in the show that Larry likes babies, so giving him the opportunity to raise one would create some interesting scenarios! In my own TS imaginings, I reckon Larry would probably want to adopt a baby at some point when Otto’s older. Maybe they could scoop one from a historical disaster like Pompeii… I can’t decide if that’s sweet or extremely messed up LMAO

I personally don’t really make OCs, for some reason… I guess I just enjoy playing with already-existing characters more? Maybe I’m not creative enough, lol. I have one TS fanfic outline that requires a new historical figure, but that’s more utilitarian than an actual OC. And I guess everything I’ve made up that comes after season 2 is technically an AU!—Of course, that includes every situation that involves Tudd and Larry being in an out-and-out relationship… I’m basically in the headspace of “if the show got an adult-oriented reboot nowadays, what kind of jokes and stories could happen?”

—I kind of already mentioned it but yes, I do have fic ideas! I eventually want to turn a bunch of them into comics, time allowing! (…Some of them are.,. inappropriate,,..,,, so idk if or where I should post those particular ones if I make them lol. I know TS has not been legally watchable for 20 years, but it’s still technically a “kids’ show”,,)

Hi 👋 for the book ask: 7 & 8?

7: What book do you love but usually not recommend because it's weird or intense, etc?

This is a really fun question to answer (aren't you OP?? thank you for this ask game!) because it's kind of context-dependent, I think. For instance, I recommend Rescues & the Rhyssa by TS Porter to folks on tumblr all the time, because the world-building is incredible and the main characters have such a wonderful dynamic and the plot and pacing hold it all so well--but I never recommended it to my former boss even though she asked for sci-fi romance titles, because some of the sexual elements were more than I thought she could take in stride. Somewhat similarly, a friend enjoyed Nora Roberts' relatively recent Nightwork and asked me what other Nora Roberts books she should check out, but I can't recommend my top favorites right away, because they're actually part of the In Death series NR writes under her JD Robb pseudonym. There are threats of violence in Nightwork, and the protagonist is a gifted cat burglar so there are plenty of criminal elements, but the In Death series is more like a mystery/suspense series with romantic side-plots, so I'm gonna throw some romantic-suspense softballs at my friend before I wallop her with In Death's major trauma-assault-murder themes.

On a more general note, though, I keep thinking of The 5th Gender by Gail Carriger. It's a good book, and I do enjoy it and think other people would too, but I could never in good conscience recommend it as an example of the genre it seems to be marketed for. The book blurb lists it as "a cozy sci-fi mystery" and refers to Gail Carriger as a romantic comedy author, and it's true that the protagonist is absolutely adorable, and his antics with his love interest are definitely sweet and funny! But also the mystery in question unfolds into a truly heart-wrenching depiction of societal pressure and reproductive abuse. I reread it when I want to experience a speedrun of the full emotional spectrum, definitely not when I want to enjoy a cute cozy sci-fi romance. Reading it for the first time was like when my brother put scotch bonnet in my mango smoothie. It was good! But it would've been better if I'd been braced for it, and I wouldn't do it to people I like without warning them first.

8: What series has most pleased you?

Also a very fun question! My overall favorite series is the Toby Daye books by Seanan McGuire, my favorite for narrative arc and satisfying conclusion is the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, and those In Death books are perfect for grabbing one to reread at random any time there's a lull, but for sheer giddy joy of reading, I'm gonna say The Pride series and its accompanying Honey-Badger Chronicles by Shelly Laurenston. The Mane Event, The Mane Squeeze, Big Bad Beast, Bear Meets Girl, Wolf With Benefits, Bite Me, Hot and Badgered, Badger to the Bone, Breaking Badger--literally just the titles make me so happy. I can't wait until Born to Be Badger comes out in the fall.

last song: According to my phone, "Holy Ground" by TS. I've been on my exclusively Taylor playlist since we bought our concert tickets (for next July! *sigh*) last month.

currently watching: I'm on an ER binge--it's just so fascinating to see how much the world/how the world is displayed in media changed in the last 30-15 years. The early seasons were full of HIV storylines, because it was just so relevant, while today's medical dramas barely even touch on the topic anymore. And I'm al cracking up about (kinda) how media even 15 years ago liked to pretend that bisexual people don't exist. I'm just at the storyline when it turns out that Pratt's little brother is gay, but "it's just a phase and he is bringing up girls anyway" and it doesn't occur to anyone, not even to Weaver, that him being bisexual is a possibility. And I'm also waiting for the next episode of Miracle Workers.

currently reading: Amari and the Night Brothers by B. B. Alston (the sequel of which is my next translation project), which is a nice middle-grade fantasy with a Black protagonist. It's cute and very imaginative and uses great metaphors for racial profiling and the general situation of disadvantaged Black youth. But it's also very middle-grade in some sense, while in other I guess some of the references are lost on the younger readers. The Martyr by Anthony Ryan (aka my current translation project), an epic medieval fantasy. I was obsessed with the first book in the series (I also translated that), and I like this one okay, but not as much as the first one. I'm also technically reading How to Fake It in Hollywood by Ava Wilder--which I originally thought was a light romantic comedy, but it's actually a bit darker than that--, but I haven't opened it in a while.

current obsession: Beyond the not-so-nice ohmygodIwon'tfinishmydissertationintime-thing? (No, we are not obsessing over that. We are not even thinking about that. Honestly, don't talk to me about that.) There is a small Hungarian natural cosmetics/skin care company called Yamuna, and I've used their products before, but I just tried out their cold-pressed skin scrub soap with ground almonds and holy crap my skin has never been this smooth. The skin next to my nose tends to get very dry and flaky, and it completely fixes that.

01/07/2024 – 01/13/2024

Sunday

SpyFam was the only manga that updated today, and it was pretty cute. It hits all the typical SpyFam comedy beats, and I’m guessing that Anya will end up with 8 Stellas and 7 Tonitruses by the end for the drama of it all. We finally got to see Demetrius and wow…I guess he takes after his father in the looks department. I really hope that with all of the Desmonds introduced now, we can actually explore their personalities and dynamics in more depth.

Chainsaw Man is back, and it’s still pretty bleak. I’m curious to see how this arc plays out, but it’s not looking good for our boy.

This really isn’t a good look for the first Week in Review of 2024, huh. But in my defense, the weather’s gotten cold enough that my hibernation instincts have kicked in…

DunMesh is still really good, I love all the little animation flourishes and comedic moments, and the look and feel of it all is quite comforting. I guess the only little nag that I have is that because they’re putting all these manga chapters into one episode, I wish there was some more indication of time passing because it felt like they were eating three lunches in one day lol. I’m also glad to see Chilchuck, my favourite character, getting a lot of screentime and fun bits throughout the episode. The ending theme was cute if a little plain, but at least we got some gorgeous Ryoko Kui illustrations out of it.

Saturday

It’s time for the second Drag Race premiere, and it was pretty okay. Megami and Nymphia were the two on my radar after the Meet the Queens video – Megami for her nerd cred and entrance look and Nymphia for her Taiwanese rep and polished fashion sense and perspective. As a Chinese person, it’s really exciting to see a Taiwanese girl on Drag Race for the first time, and I think she might be my frontrunner after this episode…but more on that later. I also liked Plasma’s entrance line and personality, and her talent show number was fun. The photoshoot improv bit was much funnier than last episode’s – TS Madison is always a joy to see. The talent show was more lowkey, though, with only a few girls doing high energy dance numbers. I looooooooved Nymphia’s Chinese style makeup and water sleeve dancing, that was really the highlight of the episode for me. And it was ironic to me that Plane Jane was like “what’s your talent, holding up a sign?” when I could say the same for her (“what’s your talent, squirting condiments onto your boobs?”). Nymphia and Plasma were my favourites of the bunch for sure. Runway-wise, Nymphia’s was a little disappointing to me, but I’m hoping that after this episode she can veer away from the banana theming a little bit. Hershii’s dress was absolutely incredible – the color is stunning, for one, but also the fact that it’s all so perfectly smooth on her body is so impressive, plus I like the triangular glasses.

Plane Jane is a little…her incessant quips feel less fun mean and more just mean mean, so I’m not really enjoying her. Her attitude throughout the whole episode was kind of off-putting to me, especially with how she acted in the lip-sync and flipping in her hair in Geneva’s face. I’m usually not a reality TV villain fan, but I can see their merit in shaping an interesting narrative – here it just feels like she’s going beyond entertaining villainy and just into unsportsmanship and attention-seeking behaviour. Maybe she’ll get a sympathetic redemption arc later on, but right now I just want to see her comeuppance.

The theme across this split premiere has definitely been breastplate shenanigans…I’m looking forward to seeing the two groups mingle next week. As for my little Fantasy Drag Race activity, Megami unfortunately did not impress me enough to make the cut, so my final roster is Sapphira, Dawn, and Nymphia. I think these three are all multitalented and have a clear sense of self that’ll carry them far in the competition, so let’s see how the points stack up by the end of the season.

#s*ilor moon Usagi 14 and the guy is like 18-19 #and the relationship that was her best friend and the villian in the beginning of season 1 #cardc*ptor with the student and teacher relationship #fru*ts b*sket with Uo being a highschooler and her love interest with a grown man #in the manga I’m pretty sure Hana ended up with some middle aged man #also Tohru’s parents #I still don’t know weather or not the sohma family are actually related or not if somebody can confirm that with me that would be great bc-#12-year-old me was traumatised seeing that most of the sohma family members got together #but there’s a lot of discourse on this apparently so now idk if they are???#yeah Fruits basket’s a mess anyways-#V*mpire Kn*ght when one of Yuki’s love interests ended up being her brother and she ended up with him #in the anime at least I looked it up just now and apparently she ended up with Zero in the manga idk-#I just remembered Shigure’s highschool girls song from the old anime #like Shigure’s a p*dophile-#like did we all just ignore that-#not surprised we did because it was passed down as comedy #there are other shoujo mangas/anime that has gross age gaps and inc*st but I can’t remember rn

✨ One Piece Timeskip Redesigns! ✨

My last art of 2020 went off with a bang! I’ve been working on these for a while and they’re finally ready to share. I thought it might be fun to concept designs for the crew with more influence from the islands they were sent to! They ended up a lil costume-y, but I like that too.

Read below for flavour text/design notes or just enjoy the art!

LUFFY: I wanted him to have “King of the Pirates” vibes! His hooded cape/mantle is inspired by the coats Shanks and Roger wore, but less cumbersome, mixed with the Kuja’s capes. The design on the back is Ace’s comedy/tragedy drama masks in the shape of Sabo’s goggles, inside angel wings. He can store things inside the sash. The golden snakes around his ankles can expand with him (the tail comes out of the mouth, like a bangle). The Kuja women made his clothes for him!

ZORO: Not a whole lot to say here except he forgot how normal people dressed while he was on Kuraigana LOL. His design is a mix of European and East Asian vampire lore and he just keeps... losin limbs lmao. With all his prominent scars he really does look undead!! This was the first design I came up with and it’s what made me want to do all the others!

NAMI: She’s a Weather Witch! The old men on Weatheria were scandalised by her short hair and tattoos so she... got shorter hair, and another tattoo. Her second tattoo is a four-pointed star inside a ship’s wheel/compass, to represent where she’s going, because her old tattoo represents where she came from. Her hair is also obviously inspired by Bellemere! Her suit is a swimsuit so she’s ready for any weather, and her hood opens up into a giant witch/rain hat. The moons on her shoes are skate-model wavers and can retract up around her ankles when she’s not using them. Combined with her (canon) “milky road” abilities, she can use them with her Clima-Tact to “fly” across clouds!

USOPP: He basically leveled-up in running away, so he kinda fights parkour-style now. His gloves and shoes are made by dipping his hands/feet in natural tree rubber sap so they give him excellent grip. He has little bands between his index & middle fingers he can use as slingshots in a pinch. He KEPT HIS ORIGINAL GOGGLES BECAUSE WHY WOULD HE ABANDON THEM, ODA?? even though he ahd to repair them a few times. The multiple watches keep track of the island’s time cycles and vibrate to alert him rather than make any sound. His coat of leaves provides camouflage, and he can also inflate it along with a birdcall whistle to look like a giant owl and scare off predators!

SANJI: What if Sanji went to Gender Island and realised all masculinity is performative so he came back a drag king I wanted to lean harder into his “waiter > chef” pre-TS design elements. His vest is backless and has more heart shapes at the back lmao. He leaves heart-shaped stamps on people when he kicks them

CHOPPER: Chopper was hard because I think his post-TS design is perfect already BUT! He got the little capelet and the feather from the people/birds of Torino kingdom. The swirls are from Hiluluk’s coat lapels! His doctor bag is actually a little backpack.

ROBIN: ............... ma’am She’s a fantasy/video-game-archeologist mixed with a sleek, modern super spy. She uses the harnesses to lift/hoist herself around by her own hands, using her devil fruit power instead of ropes, Mission Impossible style. She uses throwing knives even though her accuracy isn’t that great because she’s basically just gonna pick them up with one of her flower hands and stab the target close-range anyway.

FRANKY: I actually like that he’s a big messed up robo post-TS LMAO I just think he would love Vegapunk’s chimera designs. He’s sort of a griffon/manticore fusion with obvious inspiration from the Sunny, which he can probably mecha-fuse with somehow now. The paw pads can pop out of the gloves and act like smaller hands for more delicate stuff, just like his canon design. Robin is a big fan of squishing them. Gas from his cola chamber fuels powerful hydraulic attacks! (He can still do the nipple beam :/)

BROOK: Brook was hardest because I couldn’t change that much about his original design, but I lke the result! His skull cracked all the way through (probably excited groupies) so he welded it back together with gold (kintsugi). It can actually swing open like a purse, though, so he can store stuff in it, and his two gold teeth act as the clasp. His collar is an inverted violin, and his outfit is themed around ghost ships. The soles of his shoes are sabaody technology that make his foosteps silent. His cane-sword is now also a mic!

Podcast I listen to that don't get enough attention:

WARNING I DO PREFER MY PODCASTS ON THE CREEPY SIDE

Haunted Places is like ghost tales around the fire on steroids, each episode tells the tales surrounding a real life place's ghost story or stories. I love it cause it satisfies my need for spooky stories, combined with my love of history.

The Hamlet Podcast takes you through Hamlet verse by verse translating it and exploring it's historical setting and different takes on it given through the years.

Ghosts in the Burbs, takes place in the small town of Wellesley. Each episode tells the the story of a different everyday suburbanite who is besett upon by ghostly and otherworldly creepiness. A lighthearted yet entirely terrifying podcast for those who love comedy and a hair raising tale.

King Falls is another version of our old faithful: Radio host in a very strange town, tells strange news... except you can almost buy it at first. It's a very realistic take, with a radio host from out of town trying to tell the news like normal while getting thoroughly creeped out by goings on, joined by his co-host who's lived here forever and loves the old folklore, but can't quite find it in himself to actually be freaked out.

The Wrong Station is a podcast of horror Small Stories, very creepy and very entertaining.

Personally only listened through season one before things got weird and we lost the rat, Archive 81 is about an archivist in a secret warehouse carefully archiving a series of very strange tapes and trying very hard not to care about the mystery behind them. A very entertaining podcast, that reminded me of Warehouse 13. After season one it turned into a full blown 70's sci-fi and I couldn't keep track, but that might be more your thing than mine, and if not the first season was still amazing.

The Bridge takes place in an alternate universe earth where a bridge was built over the Atlantic, but in doing so they woke many a ocean based supernatural creature, no one uses the bridge anymore, but there are still those based on the bridge at various Watch Towers tasked with keeping these creatures contained. We join one such team as they strive to keep Bob safe but still contained, from both hunters and supernatural animal rights activists alike.

While Wolf 359 is more famous than most podcasts in this list it's still not as famous as podcasts like Welcome to Nightvale, and Magnus Archives, and that is a crying shame. Revolving around the crew of Hephestus a space station orbiting around Red Dwarf sun Wolf 359 they are there to learn as much as they can about the star and maybe even make alien contact, but in the end they learn much more about themselves and how much they all hate their bosses back on earth.

Ooh okay ai sounds cool. I'm into stem too !! I've chosen math, phy, chem and computer science but I only have a vague idea (?!) ab what I want in college and it's kinda freaking me out bc most of my friends are so clear ab what they want to do later on in life 😭 😭 For now I'm rewatching high school musical for the 7830487474th time just to de-stress myself from the whole 'think about the future thing' bc I'll be starting senior year after in 2 weeks (smth ab coming of age Disney movies are calming) OML MOON YOU LIKE OCHEM ?!?! JDKDN I've been learning it for over a year now and still haven't gotten a hang of it 😩 I'd choose calc over ochem in a heartbeat bc calc doesn't suck the few braincells I have like a vacuum cleaner. So I'm gonna use the 2 week break I have from school to understand ochem once in for all 😤 Gintama sounds interesting <3 animes with comedy are literally the best thing ever. As for one piece I've always wanted to see it but I freak out when I see the number of episodes it has 🥴 to quote lana's i suddenly realize my archnemesis is hot (during a battle to the death) one piece is like the grey's anatomy of anime and YES I'VE READ THAT FIC ENOUGH NUMBER OF TIMES TO QUOTE IT AND HDJSKDK SHRUBCHENG READING ONE PIECE FOR YOU, MISS MOON, HAS GOT TO BE THE CUTEST THING EVER but !! I don't blame him for being whipped this is miss moon we're talking about 💞 nct finally did smth for ppl who can't keep up with them lol nct news is a v v v smart idea + the little spoiler news anchor!jeno gave for the dream comeback in March made the vid even better ksjdj. Also, we're getting a rv comeback this march so it's gonna be one crazy month <33 AND I FINALLY FINISHED READING CORDUROY ANDBFKKDNDMD OKAY I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE FIC 🤩 bff2l is one of my fav tropes <33 the fic made my yangyang brainrot phase even more intense. I'm in the process of binging all of your yangyang works <3 beginning from troublemaker bc it's such a classic (okay your whole 00line 'bad boy' series is a classic) to the wayv + Sci fi au. Now my brainrot has escalated to the alien!yangang state jdndi the tags made me cackle so loud XD

SDDJDSJGJ it’s been a while since i’ve done ochem ngl but it was fun when i did it bc i actually used my brain back then 😩 the only thing i remember rn is grignard’s reagent ?? i got fun, sexy vibes from the reaction idk <3 and i absolutely ADORE calculus !!!!! it’s kind of the reason i love ai, because neural nets use a bunch of calc, even tho it drives me insane sometimes LOL and yes, on the occasion, i solve problems on differential equations just to feel something 😔 (like just 1 bc it drains me)

(You can look up someone like julia kelly and katya elise henry on ig/tumblr if u wanna know) and she gets a lot of comparisons from a few of his friends and fans, it kinda brings her down a bit bc idk man I’m a bit curvy too but i get so insecure sometimes knowing that people could be so judgmental but i know harry would love his girl no matter what 🥺❤️

Something was off with Y/N. Harry had known this for the past few days. It wasn’t that she’d been acting completely different, just so much so that being the caring and attentive person that he is, Harry had picked up on it.

At first, it was turning down second helpings at dinner. He didn’t think much of it aside from giving her the side-eye, because it was her favorite meal that Harry only cooked for her on special occasions. Next, it was her offering to pleasure him in the morning with her mouth instead of letting him take care of them both. Again, it was odd for her to turn down early morning sex, but he’d assumed she was just tired. Then came the nights when Y/N refused to sleep naked. Harry and Y/N always slept without clothes on, Harry claiming that it was just one more layer keeping them apart, which he hated. Again, he thought it was weird, but the weather had been particularly nipply lately so he’d chalked it up to her simply getting chilly throughout the night and needing the extra warmth.

The last and final straw, the whistle-blower that tied all of her off-kilter behaviors together, came to Harry when Y/N was in the shower. She was rinsing off after dinner, which she had only picked at anxiously with her fork without actually eating much of, and Harry was cleaning up the kitchen and living room to prepare for the movie night they had planned. When Harry went to move Y/N’s open laptop from the coffee table, he accidentally woke up the screen, and what he saw puzzled him to no end. It was an article pulled up on her browser, one from a tabloid company titled, “Reasons Why Y/N is Harry Styles’ Best Girlfriend.” The article was filled with photos of not only him and Y/N but of him and his past girlfriends as well. The point was to prove how much happier Harry looked with Y/N as opposed to his exes, but Harry was peeved regardless. Sure, some of these women had done him wrong in the past and left him feeling absolutely gutted, but he hated seeing them being put up against each other in this fashion.

Only adding to his frustration, the next tab over from the article was twitter account that Y/N and Harry had made one drunken night in order to spy on his fans and have a good laugh at how funny some of his followers were. They logged on and scrolled through the tweets together occasionally, but the tweets pulled up on the screen were all about Y/N’s body rather than jokes about how badly they wanted Harry to run them over with his car or memes made out of the horrid candids people had taken of him on stage. They claimed that Y/N was better than Camille because she “actually has an ass,” and that Taylor could never pull off a dress like the one Y/N wore on New Year's Eve because she didn’t have the right curves like Y/N did. Again, not necessarily negative comments, but this coupled with the other article Y/N had been looking at was enough for Harry to comprehend what was happening here.

It didn’t take much for Harry to put it all together, and it broke his heart when he did. She was comparing herself to the other girls Harry had been with. He wasn’t stupid. He knew what people said about Y/N and he knew very well that she looked much different than the other girls he typically went for. People certainly picked up on Harry’s “type,” seeing as he was always a hot topic for the press. Therefore when Y/N came along, everyone had tons to say on the matter. He avoided the comments as much as he could, but it was clear that Y/N was unable to say the same.

In the midst of planning how Harry would approach her on the subject, Y/N emerged from the top of the stairs and made her way over to the couch, dressed in an oversized shirt of Harry’s and a pair of her favorite underwear. Harry quickly closed her laptop and moved it into the kitchen as if he hadn’t just been snooping through her browser history.

“Alright,” she huffed as she plopped down onto the plush cushions of the sofa, wet hair sticking to the nape of her neck, “What’re we watching tonight?”

“Dunno,” Harry pondered, “Should we just search romantic comedies on Netflix and see what we find?”

“You know me too well, bubby,” she sighed contently.

A smile tugged at the corners of Harry’s mouth at the nickname she’d used. She appeared to be in a good mood, so he decided not to push his luck and try talking to her another day.

“Ye’ want some popcorn? Bought a new box at the store yesterday.”

“Uhh, no. I think I’m good. Still pretty full from dinner.”

You hardly touched your dinner, Harry thought to himself. He nodded (extremely hesitantly) at his girlfriend before situating his own self on the sofa next to her.

They settled on some independent film they knew they’d both hate, but that was the fun of it. Cracking jokes about how bad the acting was or about how inconsistent the main character’s accent was was almost more fun to Harry than watching a film that was actually good, which was why they ended up watching shitty, low budget ones on their designated, weekly movie nights.

Nearly halfway through the film, Harry absentmindedly slid his arm that was draped around her waist down to reach for Y/N’s thigh to place over his lap. He loved cuddling her this way, which their bodies morphed together and their legs intertwined under the coziest blanket in his house. Y/N loved it too, so Harry was shocked, but up until recently, not surprised, when she quickly pulled her leg away from Harry’s grip and off of his lap.

“Wha’s wrong? Ye’ don’t want to cuddle wi’ me?”

“What do you mean? I am cuddling with you?”

Harry huffed dramatically and rolled his eyes at his girlfriend’s feigned ignorance.

“Ye’ know exactly what I mean, baby. And it’s not just that. You’ve been acting weird lately. I know ye’ think I haven’t noticed, but I have. Ye’ don’t eat as much at dinner anymore, ye’ sleep with a t-shirt on. Ye’ don’t even want me touchin’ ye’ right now. Plus, I saw what was pulled up on your laptop while ye’ were in the shower. I’m not dumb, Y/N. Just wish you’d talk t’ me about it’s all.”

Y/N felt the embarrassment creep up her chest and spread to her neck. Her cheeks burned hot as she stared directly into his emerald green eyes that were begging, pleading for her to open up to him and tell him why she’d been so clearly obsessed with her appearance as of late. She’d had no idea that she’d even made a pattern out of her behaviors must less that Harry had picked up on them.

“I-...Harry....I don’t want to talk about this right now,” her voice barely came over a whisper.

“Well, I do. What is it? Ye’ think your too big f’ me or somethin’?”

Y/N sighed frustratingly in Harry’s direction.

“It’s not that. Not entirely anyway. It’s hard to explain. You’ll think it’s stupid.”

She tried not to look at Harry, but his burning gaze made it impossible to tear her eyes away.

“Baby, nothing ye’ say or feel is stupid. Talk t’ me.”

He placed his ringed hand on her kneecap. She was hesitant to not pull away from his touch, but she tried her best to relax against his grip.

“It’s just that...I don’t....look like the other girls you’ve been with,” Y/N chewed her bottom lip anxiously as soon as the words left her mouth.

Harry still didn’t see her point.

“So?” he questioned, “There’s a reason why I’m not with ‘em anymore.”

“I’m just...I see all of these comments about what people say about me...about us and it makes me feel weird.”

“Weird? Like wha’?”

“Weird like I don't really see why you’re even with me, H. I am the polar opposite of all of your exes.”

Harry had half a mind to be angry with Y/N for more or less accusing him of not loving her when that couldn’t have been further from the truth, but he was able to see things from her side and keep his urges to himself. He knew exactly what it was like to be under constant scrutiny from the press, but she didn’t. She didn’t ask for this, she didn’t deserve this, and she certainly shouldn’t be feeling the way she’s feeling right now.

“Baby,” Harry cooed her, “Wha’ever it is that ye’ read or wha’ever ye’ thinkin’, ‘ts not true. I swear on me mum that you’re the girl I want t’ spend forever with. Ye’ don’t have to change anything about ye’self to get me t’ love ye’ any more than I already do.”

“But-”

“But nothing,” Harry interrupted, “Promise me ye’ won’t read that rubbish anymore. And promise you’ll stop hidin’ ye’self from me, too.”

Y/N nodded slowly, feeling the tension built up in her shoulders slowly dissipating into thin air. Harry was her favorite person in the world, and hearing that from him meant everything. Of course, she’d still have her moments when she’d feel like she wasn’t good enough, but everyone had those.

“Good,” Harry leaned over to press a chaste kiss over her forehead, “Now give me a proper cuddle.”

He leaned over to grab her by the waist and hoisted her up completely on top of him.

“Harry, no!” Y/N sheepishly exclaimed through embarrassed giggles.

“Y/N, yes!” Harry taunted her as he made them both comfortable on the sofa once more.

He pulled the blanket up over their shoulders and wrapped his arms securely around her back so that he could pet her spine whilst they finished the movie. She nestled into Harry’s shoulder and breathed in his scent that lingered on his fitted, white t-shirt. Twenty minutes ago, she’d have felt like she was crushing Harry under her weight, but not now. She felt at peace knowing Harry loved her for who she was.

As movie nights typically go with Harry, he started to get quite handsy towards the end of the film. He was starting to shift about the sofa and his palms were navigating towards the supple skin of Y/N’s bum. At first, it was a comforting hand slipping in between the hemline of her panties and just resting there against her bare skin, but soon turned into Harry kneading teasing, firm motions on her ass. His lips had found their way to the sensitive patch of her neck, sucking and tugging the area lazily, but still intense enough to mark her up.

“Angel,” Harry beckoned when he was able to pull his lips away from her momentarily.

Y/N hummed in response, too intoxicated from the tingling sensation caused by Harry’s tongue mouthing at her throat.

“Sit up f’ me,” Harry demanded, his voice dripping with lust and desire.

She did as she was told, sitting up so she was still straddling Harry’s chest as she looked down at him. Harry kept a close grip on Y/N’s thighs as he slid further down the couch and his face was now inches away from her core.

“Harry, what’re you-”

“Shh,” Harry’s eyes were blown out and glassy as he switched from looking into her eyes and the damp patch that was slowly but surely forming at the front of her cotton panties.

“Just let me love on ye’ for a bit. Come closer t’ me.”

He tried tugging her thighs so that she’d sit down a bit more against him, but she tensed up.

“But I don’t want to-”

“Ye’ not gonna crush me or wha’ever it is that ye’ worried about.”

“I might,” she mumbled to herself.

Her self-depreciation caused Harry to nip the inside of her bare thigh with his teeth, which made her jerk in response.

“Hey!” she scolded.

Harry took advantage of her moment of disorientation and kissed her heat over the front of her panties so that he could taste the juices that had accumulated there. Her chuckles quickly died down into moans when she felt the beginnings of his stubble graze the part of her body where she’d always needed Harry the most.

“Ye’ gonna listen t’ me now, pet?” Harry asked as he replaced his lips with his thumb, where he began rubbing tantalizingly slow circles against her clothed clit.

“Mhmmm,” Y/N mewled.

“Though so,” Harry finished off with his infamous cheeky smirk.

She settled down properly onto Harry’s face, hovering just over his plump, shining lips until he was ready to taste her again. When he pulled her panties to the side and latched onto her dripping, wet core, she sank even further down against Harry’s tongue, eager to feel him in every possible nook and cranny that he could reach. He drank from her like he’d never wanted anything else in his all of his days.

Y/N had no doubt in her mind that at this moment, Harry was being honest when he said that she was the only person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
