Alright this is behind a tw but in case you don’t have the tag blocked: mention of someone showing a disturbing gore video to a 7 year old.

Admin has such a fascination with nsfl content and at first we were all like ‘why? You have anxiety, this should make it worse’

So apparently, when they were like 7, one summer at the pool one of their foster mothers friends just. Out of the blue showed them and a bunch of other children a real fucking gore video of a mother and her children who had gotten into a car crash!!! Won’t share details but like!!! Christ in a bread basket!!!

And then She was like ‘that’s why you always wear a seatbelt’ WE’RE AT A POOL??? WHO ARE YOU??? WHY DID YOU CALL THEM OVER??? WE’RE SEVEN???????

When you’re born into money, everyone thinks you have everything you could ever want or need. Sure, Sterling and her sister had the best clothes, one of the biggest houses on Aurora Bay Drive, a vacation home, and nearly everything two young girls could dream of, but there’s more of a need than what money can buy.

Sterling was really little when she lost her mother in a car accident, and while she can’t remember everything about her mother, she certainly recalls how different life was with Agnes Levin in it. And Sterling recalled how her mother’s absence changed everything. She remembered how sad her father was, she remembered how her sister took on the motherly role of taking care of everything, and Sterling remembered how angry she became. It was as though the only emotion she could possibly express about any of it was anger. She became hot-headed, rude, and she was mean to her sister because she felt as though she were trying to replace their mom. Sterling didn’t like to talk about their mom, though, especially when she got older because she couldn’t remember much about her and it only made her feel worse.

To help her with these big emotions, James tried to help by being there when he could. He tried talking to Sterling about it, tried getting her into therapy, but what really seemed to help was getting Sterling active in things she enjoyed. One summer James enrolled Sterling in a camp where she became a certified lifeguard, and that girl basically living on the beach was happier than she’d been in years. James encouraged this and was happy when Sterling started surfing and swimming more and she was in the ocean 24/7. 

When Sterling got to high school, not much changed. She still loved the ocean and that was where she found her peace, but she was still struggling with being angry and she was still upset with Liza for “replacing their mom”. It was stupid to think that way and Sterling knew it, but even as a teenager, her feelings were still so big she didn’t know how to navigate them. Because of this and the stress of school on top of it, Sterling became somewhat of a wild child. She would skip classes to go surfing, she’d sneak out and party with her friends, and it drove James crazy with worry.

However, Sterling calmed down a bit when she met the boy that she believed would be her high school sweetheart. They started dating Sophomore year and they stayed together throughout the rest of school. Sterling and all of her friends were convinced that he was the one- that he and Sterling would truly be together forever, but that didn’t happen.

The summer after Sterling had turned eighteen, all her friends were talking about which colleges they were going to and what their plans were, Sterling learned something that would change her life forever. After realizing her period was abnormally late, she felt a bit panicked and came to her older sister and told her about it. Liza went with Sterling to get a pregnancy test and it was positive. Sterling was terrified and she had no idea what to do but she trusted her older sister to help her through it. And when Sterling told her boyfriend, he broke up with her and left to continue his plans for his future without her… without them. 

Sterling was scared and made Liza promise she wouldn’t tell their father just yet. It wasn’t until Sterling went to her first doctor’s appointment and saw her ultrasound that she decided she was going to keep her baby. It was then that Sterling, with the support of her sister, told their father. To Sterling’s relief, James was willing to support her through it too. 

All of Sterling’s friends went on to fulfill their dreams by going to college or moving out to LA to pursue their careers, and while Sterling had been dreaming of a million things before she graduated high school– things that would take her far from Aurora Bay– that’s now where she stayed. 

Sterling’s pregnancy wasn’t terribly difficult. In fact, she enjoyed being pregnant. She was still so scared but she thought it was cool to see the changes in herself and to feel the baby moving around in her belly. It made her so excited, especially when she found out she was having a girl. One night, she and her sister were looking through baby names online while listening to the Beatles (their mother’s favorite band), when Here Comes the Sun began to play. The name Sunny popped into Sterling’s head and she knew that’s what was going to stick.

Sterling gave birth on April 15th, 2019, to a beautiful little girl she named Sunny Elizabeth Levin. And while Sterling’s pregnancy wasn’t that difficult, the labor and pretty much everything else was. Sterling spent over twenty-four hours in labor with Liza by her side the whole time, then after they were finally allowed to go home, Sterling found herself feeling really down. It was so difficult and Liza and James helped as much as they could, but Sterling eventually hired a nanny to help them out. Sterling didn’t know the first thing about being a mother and there were so many times she cried in Liza’s arms, telling her how badly she wished Agnes was there to help her figure out what to do. If she couldn’t have her own mother there, she figured a nanny who was a mother of her own children, could help. 

The nanny would come over every day and help out as much as possible, giving Sterling tips and allowing her time to herself. Sterling did try therapy during this time and it definitely helped her this time around. During all of this, Sterling had an incredible support system and two of those people in that support system were some of her friends from high school that either didn’t move or did and came back. One was a girl she’d been best friends with since she was little and the other was a boy she soon developed feelings for during this time but since she had a newborn, she never pursued anything with him. 

It’s been nearly five years now since Sunny was born, and while Sterling is still navigating motherhood, she has come a long way. She adores her daughter so much and would do anything for her. And since Sunny is now a bit older, Sterling has been doing a few more things for herself as of late, like getting back into the dating scene and even working on her own surfing line with one of her best friends.

Everyone says the youngest child is always the favorite, the one who always gets his way, and the eldest siblings are always pushed aside. It’s an unfair assumption, really. Carter grew up in the shadow of his older brother and sister. He was only ever acknowledged when he was getting in trouble. With a father so involved in his business, Carter could maybe understand not having as much time, but William never seemed to go out of his way for them at all. 

It was lonely for Carter, so he clung to his friends in high school and even his siblings, but what helped him the most was his piano. Music was an important part of the Harris’ lives after all, and he began to find himself in it. His love for it was not wasted, he was incredible and even joined an orchestra, but he’d never forget looking for his father in the crowd only to never find him. 

William began talking about one of the boys needing to take over the family business some day and wanting to show them the ropes now, but with Rhett going off and doing his own thing with his band, it seemed Carter was the only hope for the business in William’s eyes, so within a day, the rest of Carter’s life was planned out for him.

Looking back, Carter wished he’d realized that the only reason he was remotely interested was because his father was finally paying any kind of attention to him. It made him feel seen for the first time in years. But as time went on, Carter realized just how unhappy he was with the life planned out before him, especially after learning he was accepted into Julliard. Carter now had to watch his brother work on his band while Carter was stuck going on business trips for the family. He felt so bitter towards his brother for getting to do what he wanted. 

Things changed a bit when Rhett had his accident. Carter stayed with his brother when he could but even then he was frustrated that duty called, and he often had to leave with William again. Things only seemed to get worse when Cynthia got sick.

After being on a business trip with William for the past few months, Carter is back home in Aurora Bay. Despite setting aside their differences for Rhett’s accident, Carter still finds himself bitter with Rhett.

Blake and Aiden went to high school together, so after a while they became buddies. She was the awkward I'm going to talk your ear off type of friend.. where he was the I'm going to just listen because I don't have much to say on her behalf friend. She didn't mind it though. She rambled to get stuff off her chest, not to have answers thrown at her. Him listening was enough. That's what she liked about him.

Everything was fine until the wreck happened with her.. she ended up shutting everyone out afterwards. I mean, she didn't stop being friends with anyone in particular. Her and Aiden were still friends, she just drew very quiet.. with everyone. What else could she have done after going through any kind of trauma? She hung out with him, but she wouldn't ramble. She just couldn't.

Once she was over it, met more people, she was finally out of her sad shell before senior year ended, which meant Aiden dealt with her rambling once again. Since then, they have been friends ever since. Now they were older, still close, still the same type of friendship. She rambled, he listened.

It was Aiden's birthday, which meant.. Blake needed to be there, even if she came unannounced. She walked up to his door, a to-go KFC bag with two of the delicious Famous Bowls, that were still hot, in one hand, a Monster energy drink and a 20 dollar bill in the other. It wasn't much but she knew what stuff he enjoyed. Plus who doesn't like money and food on their birthday?

"Aiden! I will personally climb through your window and make you celebrate your own birthday with me if you don't open up." Blake cooed. "It might not be your best friend Jack.. but I got other stuff you might want."

listen, main character dying over and over and over again in a time loop fic is one thing, but having to watch someone die (and someone fail to save them) in a car accident over and over and over AGAIN on a fucking tv show is fucking gruesome, like holy fucking shit, something about the repeated visual experience (and the noises, jfc) is actually really getting to me

Hong Eunji: Deceased at 29 (Car accident) In Eunji's high school days, she was known as a troublemaker. She often times got in trouble with the teachers and her own parents were often times called or she was sent home. Eunji had been kicked out of a total of 3 schools and on her 3rd one, dropped out to start working. Despite being a troublesome child, Eunji was a hard worker and she had a passion for books. School was not her thing.

Hong Cheolsu: Deceased at 29 (car accident) Cheolsu was raised in a relatively high-income household, but despite that, he still worked 4 part-time jobs. He didn't want to be a burden and rely on his parents' income.

Cheolsu and Eunji met during a job. He was a part-time worker in a job that Eunji was a full-time worker at. She was his senior in the sense that she had been working at the same company for about 6 years at that point. The two met and immediately hit it off and a year into their relationship, Eunji fell pregnant with their first and only child Luna.

Watanabe was prone to being possessed as he had some kind of magnet that would attract all sorts of spirits to him. Even though there was a news outbreak in regards to a nasty car accident that caused Watanabe's passing, it is still a mystery as to how and why it even happened. Watanabe was known to be a very good husband, a lovely father, and just someone who cared deeply about his students and his child.

(42) Oh Ye Ji is a well known shaman in Korea. She is born from a family of Shamans and born into a family of Buddhism. Oh was gifted the sight to see spirits of all kinds just like Watanabe and she was also gifted the ability to banish and summon and hear their calls. Though, just like with Watanabe, she is prone to being possessed and therefore utilizes rituals and talismans to protect her from harm. She had given Watanabe something of a protecting charm as well (but at the time of his accident he had not been wearing it.) Oh Ye Ji is known to be headstrong. She's a little on the tougher side than her late husband, but she loves just as deeply and she is also pretty sweet. She is someone that would fight tooth and nail for her family. She is not above murder if it means protecting the last family she has left and that's Hanabi.

Was inspired to go thru my wip folder and found the layouts for that comic I teased a while back, and. I really. Want to. Get back to this.

DP has me back in a chokehold, and honestly? I missed it a lot. And I’ve missed the people here.

Was in a really rough spot for a while and for the first time in a little while it feels like I can breathe again. Life update under the cut.

My grandfather passed a little while ago and I kinda dropped off the face of the planet. My family and I weren’t surprised by his passing, but we certainly weren’t expecting it.

On my way to his memorial, I was involved in a head on collision. Miraculously, no serious injuries occurred but my car was totaled. (For the record I was not at fault haha)

For a while, all I could think was “it’s just too much” because it just felt like shit just. would. not. stop. One of my family’s cats passed and a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer.

Looking back on it, it’s absurd that I didn’t believe that I was struggling with depression. It was a lot. And kind of still is to an extent. But I’m doing better.

Which is why I’m so happy that I’m wanting to draw again, that I’m back in the phandom and reconnecting with friends here.

Anyway, that’s all for for now folks (please, God, let that be all). Happy to be back here and hoping to be more active. Thanks for letting me ramble.

Okay, so I’ve had a thought. When Teruko and Ace talk near the elevator in chapter 1, Ace lists off various fears he has. And some of them are normal, like spiders. Or sharp things in general (That one I could make an angsty theory about, but carrying a knife across the kitchen gives me a strangely high amount of anxiety so honestly I kind of understand). But the third one sorta mystified me.

Now, this line could simply be for comedic effect, since it’s so strangely specific compared to spiders and sharp things. And it is kinda relatable, I constantly worry about getting run over when crossing the street.

But I had an idea. My idea has no evidence and is basically a shot in the dark, but I wanted to share it.

Ace used to have a friend named Taylor. They aren’t friends anymore, and most people theorize he and Ace had a falling out, or Taylor died.

I bet you can see where I’m going with this. What if that was what happened to Taylor? A hit-and-run of sorts. That would explain why it’s one of the first fears Ace thinks of, since I’m sure something like that would scar you forever.

But again. I have no evidence, it’s just a random thought I had and wanted to share.
