Gods Among Us: Chapter 3
A/N: I have returned, lovely followers! Time to get cracking on some requests, but until then, enjoy the third installment. See ya~
Chapter 1; Chapter 2
“M-my soul?” The woman’s offer plays over and over in your head. “Anything you could possibly want...all it costs is your soul.” You know the stories about men and women who’d sold their souls for power, knowledge, youth, or other temptations. No good came of their sacrifices, and no good can come of this. Surely the woman will not keep her word. You look up  from the floor to refuse, only to find the woman’s hands clapped over her mouth and her eyes twinkling with mirth.
“I can’t believe you actually believed me! You mortals are so amusing. I said I was your friend, didn’t I? Why would I want your soul if I’m your friend?” She breaks off into a fit of laughter.
“You could have been lying to me.”
“I—hahaha—could have been—ha—lying to you?” Liana rubs her chin. “Come to think, you do have a point. Ah, well, it was funny until it wasn’t.”
She claps her hands together. “Anyways! We must move on to other matters. What do you say to my offer, Nika? Anything you could ever desire, and it won’t even cost your soul.”
You squint at her. “It seems too good to be true. What’s the catch?”
Liana stops her grandiloquent gesturing and shoots you a queer look. “You mortals are so strange. Never accepting what’s offered. It’s always ‘can I have more’ or ‘what’s the catch’ or ‘who are you and why have you put yams everywhere?’ I swear, nothing is ever easy with you lot! Maybe that’s why you were so taken with them; I don’t know.”
She throws her hands in the air and heaves an exaggerated sigh, ignoring your growing confusion. Her tone is curt and snippy. “Well, since you’re so determined to know more and you’re also so annoyingly persistent, I guess that earns you something. Excellent job, Nika. Enjoy your reward.” Liana adjusts the headdress framing her face, folds her hands together, and purses her lips into an impossibly sweet smile.
“The long and short of it is that I’m a god. You are too, or, at least you used to be. You decided to come down here and live as a mortal for reasons beyond my comprehension and asked me to teach mortal you the powers that goddess you had. So, I’m here to teach you.” She concludes with a dramatic flourish, sending her robes fluttering through the air.
You gape at her, and she crosses her arms with a small huff.
“Oh, what now, Nika? Got more questions? I already told you everything you needed to know.”
“I—no. You must be joking. There’s no way I’m some...god. My name is Uchiha Nikawa, Nika to my loved ones, fourth child and second daughter of Uchiha Tajima and Uchiha Airi. I’m not a goddess.”
“Is that how you introduce yourself to everyone now? I must say, I don’t care for it much. You could do so much better.” Liana breaks off, pinching the bridge of her nose and sighing yet again. “Look. Here’s the deal, Nika. It doesn’t matter whether or not you believe me; I’m just supposed to teach you. So forget that whole god part if you like—we can return to that later. I just need to know: will you accept my help or what?”
“I...I guess I will?”
Any semblance of negative emotion seems to evaporate off Liana, replaced by exuberant happiness. Smile beaming with sudden energy, the goddess clasps her hands together, letting out a joyous laugh. “Oh, how wonderful! Simply marvelous! We must celebrate this remarkable milestone, Nika! Do you have anything to drink? Something sweet, perchance?”
Taken aback by her sudden and complete change in demeanor, you stumble over your words, somehow managing to convey that you can make some tea with sugar in the kitchen.
She frowns. “In the kitchen? Don’t trouble yourself then, dear. It’s best if we stay in your room. Nika, no. Don’t—”
“Why? It’s just down the ha—” A noxious cloud of soot and ash gusts into your room, and you shove the door back in place. The fog clusters around your head, demonic cackling filling your ears and reverberating through your skull. Liana’s shouting something, but you can’t hear her over your coughing.
“Lais Afkah Mein: Nomed Noisrepsid!”
Purple light explodes amongst the demons, dispelling the cloud. A hand grips your shoulder and pulls you upright. Liana checks you for injuries, and after finding none murmurs, “we must be swift.” She places her hands on the sides of your head and stares into your eyes. You shift uncomfortably, and she offers a reassuring smile.
“Do not worry, Nika. This will not be painful. At least, it shouldn’t. Relax yourself—with your permission, we shall continue.”
You swallow and nod, taking several deep breaths to calm yourself. You shudder a bit as your body relaxes, and Liana’s mouth twitches upwards. She tells you to close your eyes and presses her forehead against yours.
A warm sensation fills you, like you’re being bathed in sunlight from every angle. The warmth fades when Liana steps away, and you open your eyes to see her surrounded by a soft violet aura. It travels up her chest, neck, and face in glowing purple veins, and her eyes shine with glowing violet.
Liana smirks at the wonder on your face. “You can see it, can’t you? This is what divine power looks like to a magic-user. Take a look at yourself.”
You glance down and sure enough, you have an aura as well. Bright green tendrils swirl around you, leaving a trail of light wherever you move. Unlike Liana’s aura, which has a smooth edge, yours is constantly fluctuating, rising and falling, twisting and turning. You feel your face to see if you also have veins or aura, but your skin feels unchanged.
Liana chuckles. “You don’t have any aura lines, but your eyes are glowing green.”
“Why is my—”
“Why is your aura different from mine? It’s because the auras reflect each deity’s individual characteristics and Call. I’ll explain Calls to you later—the night’s nearly over.” Liana takes your hands in hers. “You don’t know how excited I am, Nika. I’ve waited years for this. Years to see you again. Until tomorrow night then, little one. We’re just getting started.”

hi can i ramble about my nart ocs for a bit? cool thanks
first off yes i made a whole squad of my own characters because nobody else can tolerate my rambling- ANYWAY here we go long post
FIRST!! i made this character as a self-insert and just kinda went "yk what? yes" so here she is! this is an older ref but boom
Tumblr media
shes miyane sakiko!
since im unoriginal i made her like, a super distant relative of the uchiha clan so she has her own sharingan which is probably kinda swaggy. she doesnt have family and actually moved in with the uchihas at like age four i think lmao, then itachi said "no💖" and killed em while she was out at the academy helping clean up (and originally trainin w sask). she got back a bit later than sasuke did and saw the whole clan dead and went "what? the bALLS?" then she like lost sasuke and then later got transferred from one class into irukas like, the day after the genin exams and that made an odd # of kids in the class so three for each squad wasnt possible. until later on when she was assigned her own squad she was put in as a temporary fourth member of team 7 (BECAUSE I CAN) also dont ask why because idk but she has the same earrings as orochimaru under her hair because i love them and have them irl
anyway she gets married to gaara in the end because im a simp okay next character
(by the way i dont have most backstory for most of these characters but wHatevER)
Tumblr media
mamo ashinagi!! shes a swaggy one...
shes got the byakugan! again, uncreative me, anyway shes a distant relative of the HYUUGA clan so yeah lmao basically same that i guess, she doesnt really have fam either so she just kinda chills around. in her case its more like nart's scenario but whATEBEBR NEXT
Tumblr media
this is nika botoshi!! surprisingly i went a biiiit more original for him but anyway
hes the only male of the group! a nice contrast to the "all-men-with-one-female" that the squads have goin on lmao... hes a med nin!! also a contrast to the # of female med nin lmao, hes pretty quiet and can be kiiinda a jerk but hes cool, also i like boys with long hair... like this guy, and kabuto, and itachi, and orochimaru, and-
anyway! next is the squad leader herself!
Tumblr media
meet degiri hitsu! shes also a swaggy one, shes where mamo got her swAg
in a way to describe her, shes like, the cool teacher that does the job right by connecting with the students but also being just so cool outside of teaching too... shes very swaggy and also very skilled at taijutsu! also that jutsu she's doin with the fire, she calls that a "flamethrower jutsu" but its like a one-person combo jutsu she just. makes the fire go brr with the wind lmao, shes very eccentric. also she has shoes with the higher wedges because thats super swaggy!! shes just all around swaggy lmao, but i completely forgot to draw her konoha headband. probably wears it like around her other thigh (the one w/o the kunai bag) tbh. ALSO HALF OF HER HEAD IS SHAVED!! HOW SWAGGY IS THAT??
anyway thats it for my rambling lmao i really like making ocs... i was inspired to make so many because of these stereotype things i saw so jm making things that COMPLETELY contrast those. many many more ocs that i have to make BUT I GOT THSIDBDBDB
anyway bye HAHDBS

I'm not in danger, I am the danger.
☾♔; September 13, 2020 ☾♔; 3:07am ☾♔; sotd: Snow Fairy - FUNKIST ☾♔; cotd: Uchiha Itachi ☾♔; NaNoWriMo ☾♔; Concept Board I guess
okay, now that I've gotten the chris evans you-know-what out of my system, back to what I was actually making a set about, which is nanowrimo. decided to participate this year, I know I should be concentrating on my groups, specifically for the crown and into the unknown, they need a lot of worldbuilding, and I need to create all my guidelines for ftc, but whatever. I'm in a solitary head space rn.
I haven't actually participated in NaNo before. I joined years ago, my account is still active, managed to sign in 'cause google still had the password and found that my profile had the name of an old oc as my name, lmao, I was so fucking lame. Anyway, I basically joined in Highschool, downloaded a story writing workbook (no idea if it's still available) and then dipped for 8 years. I did use the work book though. I might still have it somewhere in an old usb or a sub-sub-sub-sub folder somewhere, it was helpful, it had all these fun little questions about your characters and stuff.
Anyway, I'm not completely decided on what to write yet. I'm doing the Prep 101 stuff, and I've come up with 3 possibilities:
1. An Into the Unknown series of stories, this would be set before the groups plot, which begins in BA: 14 (the fourteenth year of the Blood Age - approximately, since I'm still building the world, the time is subject to change), specifically, I wanted to focus on Dragonlord Venera and the Rustavyan wars with Velhad and Ruthenia, and the tragic events (murders of her children) leading to her summoning the first dragon seen in the known world in 300 years and conquering Velhad in a single day.
2. Idea two is sort of two ideas. Version A of it takes place even further back in the history of Into the Unknown, in the era before The Empire, when magic and the magical were hella repressed. It would focus on a young witch named Celene (yes, for Celene I, Empress of Orlais in Dragon Age), who was abandoned by her parents because of her powers and her growth and rise. Version B is the same concept, but in a different, more modern setting. I'm thinking either our world, or a world similar to Fairy Tail's.
3. My last idea is to focus on Nika Vororina, a character I originally created for @.koby's Long Live the King, and then recycled a number of times 'cause the groups kept dying. Because of her personality, or lack thereof, Nika was easy to write into any world, but for nano, I'm thinking I'd go back to her roots, making her a genuine psychopath in the criminal underworld. Obviously I wouldn't use koby's setting or characters. For Nika, instead of like a novel or anything, I was thinking it'd be a series of short stories, focusing on her growth and understanding of herself, how she realized she wasn't like others, and her picking certain morals to live by, a little dexter-y, but no character of mine will allow a rapist to walk free. Just because she's a psychopath doesn't mean she doesn't have standards. Also would be a good opportunity to flex those psych and soc classes I wasted thousands of dollars on.

You are onto something when saying that FushiKugi is similar to SasuSaku. I see it too. Like, you can tell they are two different pairings BUT they give off a similar vibe at times and just yfyuhbe
I would love to hear a more in depth analysis on both
AVSBDBDBJFNFNFMFK FINALLY SOMEONE IS WITH ME 😭😭🙏 I agree they are potential to be a lot similar frrr
Well..... Unironically I am writing an analysis about their relationships. AND, it's a comparison hehehe. But, I won't post it from this blog. Recently, I opened a blog for metas and others such as providing the right canon info, etc. You will find it there. The blog is @sundyze.

Gods Among Us: Chapter 2
A/N: Happy Fourth of July to my American followers and happy fic update day to the rest!
Chapter 1; Chapter 3
Your mother’s burial is conducted with much more pomp and circumstance than your brother’s. As the wife of the head of the Uchiha clan and a woman well respected for her selflessness and unwavering devotion to her family, your mother’s funeral is a matter of clan-wide importance. Everyone in the settlement gathers to pay their final respects, and you watch with your family from your place by the coffin. The clan hangs their heads in silent mourning, hastily stifling tears. They don’t see the demons either.
You feel your father’s eyes on you, watching for any sign of the “hysterics” that you displayed by your mother’s deathbed. He doesn’t know about the demon—none of them do. You live in a family of no-nonsense warriors; none of them would believe you. The last thing you need is for them to question your sanity as well as your constitution. Thus it is with gritted teeth and a clenched fist that you watch the demons dance on your mother’s coffin.
The pudgy one that attacked you earlier leers from its spot on your mother’s stomach. A skinny one with horns and only one leg giggles on your late mother’s face, and a third crawls over her ankles, a disgusting smile plastered on its face. They delight in tormenting you, knowing that your hands are tied. You endure their taunts throughout the funeral until your father finally steps out to close the coffin. The demons cackle in unison and disappear into puffs of smoke when the lid lowers, and you breathe a sigh of relief. Perhaps now your mother can rest in peace.
When your family returns home, Misaki orders the servants to remove the white mourning curtains. She’s now in charge of managing the household. Your father disappears into his study to read the reports he’d set aside after your mother died, and Madara and Izuna vanish into the woods after promising your sister they’d return by sundown. You wander through the house, avoiding the room your mother died in. A black cloud fills the interior, though you doubt anyone else can see it. You duck into the library to try and read the hours away, but end up tossing scroll after scroll away.
“Nika? Nika, are you in here?”
Your nickname sounds the same on your sister’s lips as it did on your mother’s.
“Oneesan, I’m over here.”
Misaki picks her way around the scrolls scattered on the floor, kneeling by you. She offers a tired smile, resting her hand on yours. “How are you, Nika?”
“M’fine,” you mumble.
“You sure? You seemed rather...upset when Mother died.”
You snort. “Upset” couldn’t begin to describe how you felt when you saw the demon, and your reaction by itself definitely surpassed appearing “upset.”
“I was just...shocked. I’m fine, really.”
Misaki looks at you as if she knows there’s more that you’re not telling her, but she shakes her head and pulls you into a hug. “Alright, Nika. I trust you. But if there’s ever anything you want to talk about, come to me, alright?”
“I will, oneesan.” You wrap your arms around her. You understand what she means—she will be your new mother as well as your older sister.
“Misaki-san, your father wants to see you.”
As your sister rises to leave, you hear a cackle and see the one-legged demon from the funeral materialize behind her. It picks up a scroll, waving it in the air before rolling it into Misaki’s path.
“Oneesan!”
She snaps her head around, concern creasing her brow. “What is it, Nika?”
“Uh, you almost stepped on a scroll.”
“Oh, so I did. Thanks for warning me, Nika. Would you do me a big favor and put these scrolls away? That way we can make sure no one else trips over them.”
“S-sure.”
Misaki gives you a big smile before she leaves, gently sliding the door closed behind her. You watch her go and then shift your attention to the demon, who is jumping on its leg and pounding its hands against the back of its head. It huffs and points a finger at you, babbling angry gibberish. The creature lets out a shriek and disappears in a violent explosion of smoke, leaving soot stains on the floor.
While you put away the scrolls, you realize that these beings, whatever they may be, are dangerous. If you hadn’t warned your sister, she would have taken a nasty fall and possibly been injured. These demons cause pain, and you’re the only one who knows they exist. As you wipe at the black marks on the floor, you vow to yourself that no matter what, you will not let these demons harm anyone. The world has enough troules without invisible demons wreaking havoc.
You have trouble sleeping that night, tossing and turning incessantly. Every little sound seems to be the miniature devils causing more trouble. When you finally drift off, the moon is high in the sky. Almost as soon as you lose consciousness, you feel a hand shaking you awake.
A melodic voice floats to your ears; you feel like you’re listening to fairies sing.
“Nika? Nika, darling, it’s time to wake up. We don’t have all night, you know. Try to go to bed a bit earlier next time, hm?”
You feign sleep, waiting for the stranger to drop their guard.
The intruder sighs. “Why must everything be harder with mortals? Nika! Wake up!” They shake you hard, and you use your momentum to launch yourself off the bed and tackle the stranger.
The intruder, a woman with long hair, yelps as she tumbles to the ground underneath you. She’s clad in a purple corset laced with black ribbons and pants that cling to her legs and disappear into leatherskin boots reaching up her calves. Sheets of patterned cloth sewn to the garment’s waist flutter around her legs. You doubt she has any weapons hidden on her, but better safe than sorry. You pin her using your legs and her rather impractical outfit and close your hands around her throat.
“Who are you and why are you here?”
The woman lets out a long-suffering sigh, casting her eyes up at the far end of your room before looking at you. “You know, I didn’t quite expect our reunion to be like this.”
“Our reunion? What are you talking about?”
“Don’t you—? Right. Of course. You don’t remember. That’s great. Just great.” She drags out the last two words, letting out another sigh. “Alright, Nika. Here’s the deal. First off, relax. I’m alone, and I’m not here to fight. Crazy as it sounds, I’m supposed to teach you stuff in your dreams so you can have all sorts of cool powers. Thing is, our time together only lasts for as long as you sleep, and even if we weren’t wasting precious dreamtime right now I wouldn’t be able to teach you anything ‘cuz you’re kind of sitting on me.”
“What don’t I remember? What are you supposed to teach me? Why are you in my dream and how do you know my name?”
“I…” she pauses. “Let’s just say it’s a long story that I’ll tell you later, ok, Nika? The story will also explain how I know your name and probably also how you don’t remember anything. For now, all you need to know is that my name is Liana, and I’m your friend. As for what I’m gonna teach you—” Liana snaps her fingers and you fly off her, landing hard on your bed. She stands up, straightening her clothes and rearranging her golden headdress. “I can teach you how to do that, Nika, as well as a great many other things. You want to protect others from the demons, right? I can teach you how.”
“How do you—”
“I know a great many things, Nika, and if you listen to me you will too. I can give you all of this—” she gestures at her hands, “—and more. Anything you can possibly want will be in your reach—all it costs is your soul.”
