Underswap Asriel Headcanons

I’ve always hated how overlooked Asriel is in Underswap. I get that the MK <> Asriel swap doesn’t make much sense, but implications of this swap are fun to think about

I image Swap!Azzy to be pretty similar to his classic counterpart with two major differences. One, he’s a big fan of Alphys, and two, he doesn’t have legs.

The legs thing is inspired by one comic of Monster Kid watching Mettaton’s show and getting super excited when MTT says “Who needs arms with legs like these?” Since Napstaton loves his arms, I though it’d be a funny parallel, on top of me just trying to be original.

Swap!Asriel has prosthetic legs that Undyne made at Toriel’s request. Azzy’s pretty self-conscious about them, so he wears super long sweatpants that he trips over a lot. Swap!Asriel also plays a bigger part in the story than classic MK. He still sneaks out against his parents’ wishes, but that carries a lot more weight when you remember that he’s the prince.

Asriel sticks a lot closer to you and basically becomes your only party member, possessing healing abilities similar to Ralsei’s. His anxiousness shows itself in his acts, especially when he has a flex off with Shyren, though he does seem to enjoy singing with Aaron.

Alphys’ chase scenes involve Chara dragging Asriel along by the hand, with Alphys attacking a lot less out of fear of accidentally hitting the prince. Alphys, along with the additional guards patrolling Waterfall due to the prince’s absence, are under the assumption that Chara is holding the prince hostage, or at the very least manipulating him.

Alphys attempts to reason with Asriel, but the path gives out, causing Chara and Asriel to fall into the dump. The flashback plays out the same, and Chara wakes up to Asriel worriedly calling out to them. Asriel’s clothes are all sorts of messed up after the fall, basically forcing Azzy to come clean about his prosthetics. He asks Chara if they think he’s lame because of it. Chara will say no regardless of which option you chose.

Asriel becomes a bit more confident, even after the Bored Dummy insults him for having such boring magic attacks. He mentioned his love of the stars if you poked around the wishing room, but he’s now more vocal about it. He really likes Hapstablook’s poem about the stars, and he looks through Sans’s telescope, only to find that Papyrus drew on the lense with marker. A classic Papyrus Prank TM.

After facing off against more guards, including 01 and 02, Chara and Asriel arive at the cliff. Alphys actually starts telling Chara the story of monsters before Asriel tries to sneak past with Chara, who seemed genuinely interested. The chase plays out similar to canon, only with Alphys trying to talk Asriel down. If you say just the right things, Asriel can convince Alphys to back off. If not, then the chase continues all the way to the bridge to Hotland.

Alphys doesn’t buckle under the heat, instead grabbing Asriel. In a panic, Asriel pushes her away, right off the bridge. Alphys is now dangling above molten lava. She’s struggling to hold on, and Asriel can’t pull her up on his own.

If Chara does nothing, Alphys falls and dies. Asriel, overwhelmed by the guilt of killing his hero and his only true friend doing nothing about it, runs back to Waterfall. In many resulting Neutral routes, he is still missing.

If Chara does help, Asriel will apologize profusely. Alphys asks one last time that Asriel stay away from the human, even though now, she seems a bit reluctant to. On more violent neutral runs, Asriel does just that, but otherwise, he stands his ground.

Undyne is ticked off by the visitors, but she tries to be more approachable when she realizes that it’s the prince and the human. Asriel mentions seeing Napstaton’s blue prints along with the designs for his prosthetics. Undyne talks about Napstaton, who then bursts through the wall.

Instead of TV programs, Napstaton’s encounters are them filming for their Music Videos. Each one is themed. A science song for the lab, a Halloween song, a love song (which is basically just the musical scene). Each encounter baring the first utilizes the Cyan soul, which is basically just DDR. Asriel can sing in each encounter, and he can even show up Napstaton, giving you the chance to freestyle. If you freestyle on all the previous encounters, then Asriel will (unwilling) play the part of the princess in the love song instead of Napstaton.

Catty and Bratty are now 03 and 04, and their fight is pretty much the same as the unused encounter. Grillby is tough to reason with, as he doesn’t talk, but Asriel can help the fire monster WARM UP to you. In fact, Asriel can help you spare a lot of monsters in Hotland and the Core easier than if you were alone. Also, Asriel can cause Grillby’s attacks to become stronger/more erratic if he attacks the fire monster because fire + fire = more fire.

In the dinner scene with Papyrus, Asriel confirms that the man behind the door is Asgore. Unlike classic Toriel, Swap!Asgore didn’t run away. He was purposely relocated to the ruins to… collect the human souls quicker. Papyrus drops a penny and takes his opportunity to stairwalk away and let you two talk.

Asriel talks about how tense things are between his parents. How tense the guards are as they walk him to ruins so he can stay with his father for the weekend. How tense his dad is when he tucks him in.

Asriel explains that he didn’t sneak out because he wanted to see Alphys, or the “stars,” or any of that. He snuck out because his parents were fighting over the phone. He needed to get out and clear his head.

Asriel chuckles at the irony. If he hadn’t been in such a bad situation, then he never would’ve met you. You, Chara, who saw him for who he was. Not “Asriel Dreemurr,” or “Asriel the prince.”

He was just Asriel.

01 and 02 are out in the back alley selling stuff if you didn’t kill them. Nice Cream Guy puts on a glossy exterior, but Asriel can tell that the bunny man is dead inside.

Undyne actually gives you the correct directions in the Core because she kinda wants you out of her hair. If you couldn’t tell, Hotland’s heat has made her a bit of a grump.

At the end of the Core, you face off with both Napstaton and Hapstablook, the latter now having a robot body and going by Mettaton. Chara can help Mettaton overcome their stage fright, while Asriel can cause Napstaton to tear himself to bits similarly to classic MTT. Yes, that means that Napstaton’s question of “who needs legs with arms like these?” is directed at Asriel. Que happy goat boy sounds.

Anyways, Napstaton has a bit of a Blooky moment before powering down, and Undyne steps in to sort everything out. While Undyne helps Mettaton calm down, Asriel and Chara ride the elevator to New Home. Asriel is the one who explains the situation with you taking the queen’s soul, though he’s even less tactful than classic Alphys.

If you killed Napstaton or Mettaton, not only would the fight end abruptly, but Asriel would lock himself in his room. Asriel would also do this if you started killing monsters after saving Alphys.

If neither of those are true, then Asriel will follow you through the judgment hall, where all of your sins (or lack thereof) are spelled out by Papyrus, and finally, you reach the throne room. Toriel is both shocked and relieved to see her son, but when her gaze lands on Chara, she goes numb. She tells Asriel to go to his room, and after much arguing, he obliges, though not before giving Chara something.

The Underground: The Ruins → The Depths

The deepest part of the Underground. The Depths are composed of dark, volcanic caverns and serve as the entrance to the rest of the Underground.

Snowdin → Clearwater

A tropical paradise with a resort at its heart, run by Gerson Boom. It's considered the nicest part of the Underground and many monsters wish to live here.

Waterfall → Forestgrove

Forestgrove has a temperate climate, lush vegetation, and fields of Golden Flowers. The vast tangle of forest makes it easy to get lost in, unless you know your way around.

Hotland → Highpeaks

A vast and densely populated city built into craggy cliffsides of the Underground. The city features many apartments, restaurants, shady back alleys, and the Royal Science center.

THE CORE

Located within Highpeaks is the large cold-fusion reactor facility that supplies the Underground with electricity. It was created by the former Royal Scientist.

New Home/The Capital

The highest point of the Underground. Just beyond it is the Barrier, but seldom few live here anyways. The frosted-over castle is always decorated like it's Christmas Eve.

Important info: OTHERSWAP is not being developed as a fangame, mod, comic, or anything of that nature. This is just an AU setting created for funsies. It is not trying to replace or "improve" the original Underswap AU.

This AU was first conceptualized shortly after the release of DELTARUNE Chapter 2. At the time of posting, there is no official design for Dess or Mayor Holiday. Dess' design may be changed in the future if she ever appears in official UTDR content and Mayor Holiday has not been included in OTHERSWAP at all. Although she takes the role of Toriel in this AU, Dess is still the eldest daughter of Rudolph Holiday and is treated accordingly. This AU has decided to replace the Dreemurrs with the Holidays as they also exist within UNDERTALE canon (UNDERTALE 5th Anniversary Alarm Clock Winter Dialogue - Asgore, UNDERTALE Xbox port exclusive dialogue).

Love imagining all the different guys interacting in a mv surface scenario. Love thinking about all the odd combinations and relationships. Undertale Undyne and Underfell Papyrus. Swapfell Alphys and Underfell Mettaton. Underswap Asgore and Undertale Toriel.

I’ve always liked the hc that Alphys and Catty and Bratty are friends in UT and UF, but not in SF or FS, what would all the different versions think of their alternates’ relationships? Underswap Papyrus and Asgore are friends for sure, but the Tale and Fell Toriels and Sanses are in QPRs, isn’t that funny? Swapfell Grillby is incredibly intense and has a silver tongue, while Underfell Grillby is quiet, and prefers to stay out of things, what would Underfell Sans think about the version of his friend who’s almost a total inverse of what he knows? How did they become like that? There’s so many similarities but almost as many differences, it seems.

So neat to ponder

Personality: Friendly, active,

Likes: Running, playing, fetch, tag, Catty bitties,

Dislikes: Being bored, being inside to long, having to sit still for to long,

Compatibility: Kratty bitties LOVE running around and have way to much energy- dont get a Kratty if you cant keep up with their energy because they can somehow manage to stay up for days on end playing and running around- they are known for being the hardest to catch among the staff, and thats saying something because over half of the staff isnt human-

Kratty bitties can easily reach up to 60-70mph on average at full speed, unlike the usual 40-50 of other Kapro bitties, and can make super fast turns, making them even harder to catch! Though the good side of this is that they are rarely stuck in abuse situations or bitty fighting rings! Kratty and other Kapro bitties are actually known for helping get bitty fighting rings shut down!

They are super cuddly and whenever they get tired they will happily cuddle up to their owner or other bitties!

They need a LOT of area to run around and plenty of time outside! But maybe make sure theres a tall fence, since they can jump pretty high and can end up getting lost!

Feeding habits: They are mostly carnivorous and eat fish and meat!

Additional info: Kapro bitties are full of energy and love running around, the are also notorious for booking it whenever one of the staff tries to get them inside when someone wants to meet some of them(much to everyones dismay, as they are also suuuuper fast- reaching up to 40mph on the slow end)

Kapro bitties are more commonly quadrupeds instead of more upright! But not all of them are quadrupeds,

In Universe: They are seen as odd bitties to try to house but many athletes like them!

I finished it. So please, let me explain what this is.

First, it’s Undertale September, but I decided to just do everything at once. Second, I liked the idea of every character being from a different AU. This was pretty much randomly assigned, so I had to design a few of the characters that didn’t previously exist in the story. Third, I liked @tatatale‘s Palette Challenge so I did every character in a different palette.

* alright, so! chromatic unity is the classic universe, and “harmonic hues” is the swap au. it’s more like ts! underswap; their placements and motivation change, but their personalities aren’t too different

* swap placements only effect the light world/undertale characters. dark world characters are their own, or characters from other games

I thought it would be fun for Muffet to be a little painter here who sells her art for way too much money. Papyrus has commissioned her a few times and likes to play fetch with her pet when he visits.

Chapter 10

Not long after, Blue got home.

In the qiet of the house he was able to pick up the faintest vibration of a purr. It came from Red's room.

Blue got up the stairs and carefully opened Red's door.

Sans knelt in front of the bed, gently petting Red's skull and recounting stories from his past. Blue picked up the name 'Gaster' a few times. He remembered his own Gaster. In his world the Gaster-thing went a little different from Sans'.

When the door creaked a little in its hinges Red abruptly froze, going stiff as a board, stopping breathing and Eye Lights going out.

Sans was quick to reassure the vulnerable monster. He never ceased his gentle petting and murmured in a soothing tone. "It's okay, it's just Blue. We won't let anyone get close enough to hurt you. Breathe, Red. Slowly. In... and out... in... and out. That's it. You doing great, little Cherry."

Red paused again. Now for a different reason.

Slowly he moved his Eye Lights towards Sans and stared at him for several seconds.

"Where does tha' come from?"

He was absolutely not blushing his namesake.

Sans grinned a little sheepish. "What? Don't like the nickname? I can come up with something else if you want."

Blue took pity on Red and finally came over to the bed. "SANS, STOP FLUSTERING RED," he scolded. "HE CAN'T EITHER FLEE NOR FIGHT BACK. THAT'S UNFAIR. AT LEAST WAIT UNTIL HE IS BACK ON HIS FEET AGAIN BEFORE YOU START FLIRTING IN EARNEST."

Sans, gremlin that he was, just grinned unashamed. "But he's so cute when flustered."

Red spluttered and was unable to make any kind of response, before he eventually stuttered, "k-kay, cha-change a topic. Please."

Blue redirected his attention to Red. "I AM SORRY, RED. OF COURSE WE CAN TALK ABOUT SOMETHING DIFFERENT. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT?"

Red took a few breaths to calm down and force the blush from his face.

"Da asshat 'ere," Red nodded towards Sans as good as was possible with his neckbrace, "tol' me 'bout dis world an' 'ow dey got outta Underground an' sh-... stuff. Ya both know mah story an' 'bout mah Underground, but i dun know shi-uhh... a-an'thin' 'bout da 'verse ya come from, Blue."

Blue beamed. He noticed how hard Red tried to not curse. He really apprecciated that. Then he took a moment to think about how to start.

"WELL, MY WORLD IS CALLED UNDERSWAP. YOU MIGHT HAVE NOTICED THAT MY MAGNIFICENT PERSONALITY RESEMBLES CLOSELY THAT OF THIS WORLD'S PAPYRUS." Red hummed to confirm he noticed and to show that he was listening. "SO, IN UNDERSWAP CERTAIN... 'ROLES' ARE... WELL... SWAPPED.

LIKE FOR EXAMPLE ME AND MY BROTHER, FLOWEY AND TEMMIE, UNDYNE AND ALPHYS, THE KING AND QUEEN, ETC. WE DON'T HAVE METTATON, BUT NAPSTATON, HE IS A FAMOUS DJ. FURTHER ARE FRISK AND CHARA SWAPPED, BRATTY AND CATTY WITH THE BUNNY LADIES, AS WELL AS MK AND ASRIEL, AND GASTER AND THE RIVERPERSON. AND BP AND THE NICE CREAM GUY.

SOME THINGS ARE NOT SWAPPED YET DIFFERENT, LIKE I DIDN'T MASTER THE ART OF SPAGHETTI COOKING, BUT ASSEMBLING TACOS. MY BROTHER DOESN'T DRINK A CONDIMENT, HE CONSUMES HONEY. AND HE SMOKES WHEN STRESSED OUT. WE ARE TWINS, WITH ME BEING THE FIRSTBORN AND, UNLIKE SANS, I AM NOT THE JUDGE OF MY WORLD. ALSO OUR SNOWDIN UNIT DOES NOT CONSIST OF DOGS, BUT CATS. WHEN I GOT HERE MONSTERKIND WAS STILL UNDERGROUND."

Red let all that information slowly sink in. "Ya say ya Gaster is swapped wi' da Riverguy? Does tha' mean in ya world da Riverguy fell in th' Core?"

"WELL, NOT QUITE. THAT IS ANOTHER THING THAT WENT DIFFERENT. GASTER IS MINE AND PAPPY'S FATHER AND ONCE WAS THE ROYAL SCIENTIST. WHEN WE STILL WERE PRETTY YOUNG OUR GASTER HAD AN ACCIDENT WHILE DOING SOME MAINTENANCE AT THE CORE. I AM NOT THAT GOOD WITH SCIENCEY STUFF AND WAS WAY TOO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND ANY OF THAT ANYWAYS. HOWEVER, OUR FATHER DIDN'T FALL INTO THE CORE BUT STILL WAS EFFECTED BY IT. HE SLOWLY LOST HIS MEMORIES AND AT SOME POINT HE EVEN DIDN'T REMEMBER US. SINCE HE COULDN'T BE A SCIENTIST ANYMORE HE BECAME THE RIVERPERSON. OVER TIME HIS ACTUAL NAME BECAME FORGOTTEN BY THE OTHER MONSTERS AND PAPPY AND I MAY STILL REMEMBER HIM, BUT IT HURTS TO THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT HIM.

WHEN HE... FORGOT ABOUT US MUFFET TOOK PAPPY AND ME IN AND RAISED US AS HERS. SHE IS SWAPPED WITH GRILLBY IN MY WORLD, BY THE WAY."

"How did'ja get here?"

"WELL, WHEN WE GREW UP PAPPY TURNED OUT AS SMART AND SCIENCEY AS OUR FATHER AND BEGAN TO DIG AROUND IN HIS OLD WORK FILES. HE MADE OUR BASEMENT INTO A LABORATORY WHEN WE ACQUIRED OUR HOUSE SINCE MUFFET'S PLACE BECAME TOO SMALL FOR THE THREE OF US. HE BUILT THE MACHINE, BUT NEVER GOT IT TO WORK.

THEN CHARA FELL INTO THE UNDERGROUND AND WENT THROUGH SEVERAL RESETS. PAPPY STILL WORKED ON THE MACHINE AND ONE DAY WE GOT INTO A FIGHT OVER THAT THING. PAPPY WAS POSSESSED BY THE IDEA TO FIND A WAY OUT OF THE UNDERGROUND WHEN HE MANAGED TO GET THE MACHINE TO FUNCTION. HE DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING ELSE AND THAT MADE ME ANGRY, HE WASN'T EVEN LISTENING TO ME ANYMORE.

I WRESTLED THE WRENCH OUT OF HIS HANDS AND WIELDED IT WHILE I GAVE PAPPY A PIECE OF MY MIND. THE WRENCH SLIPPED THROUGH MY FINGERS AND ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE MACHINE. IT MADE SOME WEIRD NOISES BUT SINCE NOTHING ELSE HAPPENED WE DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT. THE NEXT DAY THE HUMAN RESETTED.

WHEN I WOKE UP I WAS IN SANS' LAB. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS PAPPY'S, BUT THEN I SAW A FRAMED PICTURE OF SANS AND HIS PAPYRUS, AND KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG.

I UNKNOWINGLY HAD SET OFF SANS' SECURITY SYSTEM AND SUDDENLY HE POPPED UP RIGHT AT THE DOOR." Blue snickered before continuing. "WHEN HE SAW ME HIS EYE SOCKETS BECAME AS BIG AS DINNER PLATES. THAT LOOK OF UTTER DISBELIEF WAS HILARIOUS, LOOKING BACK NOW."

Red snorted. "Pfft, heh, wish i coulda seen dat!"

Blue grinned. "IT WAS, INDEED, A SIGHT TO BE SEEN. I WISH I'D HAD A CAMERA BACK THEN, BUT MY OLD CELLPHONE DIDN'T HAVE THAT FUNCTION ANYWAYS.

HOWEVER, TO MAKE VERY HECTIC AND CONFUSING THINGS SHORT, SANS AND PAPYRUS GAVE ME THEIR GUEST BEDROOM, PAPYRUS GAVE ME THE NICKNAME 'BLUE' AND SANS TRIED TO GET THE MACHINE TO FUNCTION TO SEND ME BACK HOME.

AS WE TOLD YOU SOME TIME BACK, HE ONLY MANAGED TO GET A READING ON MY WORLD. HE FOUND DUE TO MY MAGICAL SIGNATURE, IF I UNDERSTOOD THIS CORRECTLY." He shot Sans a questioning look, who just smiled his gentle, lazy smile and nodded confirming.

"THE RESETS IN MY UNIVERSE CONTINUED ON UNTIL TWO YEARS BACK. ACCORDING TO THE READINGS MONSTERKIND GOT TO THE SURFACE AND THERE HADN'T BEEN ANY MORE RESETS EVER SINCE.

WHILE WE FOLLOWED THE HAPPENINGS IN MY WORLD, WE ALSO DISCOVERED COUNTLESS OTHER UNIVERSES AND SANS STUDIED THEM, TELLING ME WHEN HE FOUND ONE THAT SEEMED PARTICULARLY INTERESTING.

OVER TIME WE FELL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER AND A FEW WEEKS AFTER PAP MOVED OUT I WENT INTO HEAT AND... WELL... SAPHY HAPPENED.

AND ABOUT TWO YEARS LATER I GOT PREGNANT WITH OUR LITTLE BIRD. BUT THEN I GOT HIT BY THAT CAR, LOST OUR LITTLE BIRD AND AM UNABLE TO CARRY A SOULING, BUT WE TOLD YOU THIS ALREADY."

Red hummed an affirmative again. "How lon' had it been since ya came here?" he asked.

Blue thought about it. "I THINK IT MUST HAVE BEEN... SOMETHING AROUND EIGHT YEARS BY NOW?" He looked at Sans for confirmation. Sans nodded slowly. "It's been seven years and ten months to be precise, give and take a few days.

Saphy's birthday is only a month away. She surely wants to invite her friends, meaning our house will be swarmed by literally a horde of little monsters. Plus some humans. Luckily you should be back on your feet by then, Red," Sans chuckled.

Red grinned. "Sounds like madness. Will be fun."

Then he yawned long and felt sleepiness seep into his bones. "Nap time, i guess. Wake me when it's time fer mah meds or dinner."

With that Red fell asleep, while Sans and Blue quietly shared some memories and began to make first plans on saphy's birthday.

Chapter 44: FIGHT BACK

“hAhaHaH, U dUmMY!”, Temmie said creepily and cheerily, “YoU NeVr leaRn dO U?”

“Temmie, how could you do this?!”, Chara questioned still on the ground, “She was your mom, she took care of you and loved you! Why would you do this to her?!”

“hEE hEE, DoN’t U reMemBER?”, Temmie asked with a sinister smile, “HerE iTs kilL…or bE kilLed!”

They have the souls! As Temmie absorbed them, everything went dark!

“Chara?!”, You shouted looking through the emptiness.

….There they are! They’re collapsed on the ground, you can to them as quick as you could.

“Chara, you okay? Please wake up!”, you said shaking them.

“….Aaah…what happened?”, Chara said waking up and rubbing their head.

You looked ahead and saw Chara’s save file, this is their chance!

“Chara over there!”, you said pointing ahead, “You have to get to the save point quickly!”

Chara slowly gets up and runs to the save point. You tell them to hurry, they did their best and put their arm out as they ran. Chara got to it, now they just have to save!

“AH!”, Chara shouted backing away from the cracked save file, “What? What’s happening?!”

Oh no, it’s too late! The save file is destroyed!

“hEE hEE hEE, hOI”, you both heard Temmie say softly and creepy, “It’S mE, tEMMIE…tEMMIE da tEM!”, they introduced opening…3 set of eyes…

One set was a dog, the second was a cat, and the last…a human…

“I ThaNk U hOOmAN, yOu hELp mE GAin PoWR! WiTHoUt tHE OLd hAG, i GoT SOULS!”, Temmie said with three different voice tones, “i bE emPTy nO MoRE, NoW i HAVe a SOUL aGin hEE hEE…AwwW U LefT OuT? nO wORrY…CaUSe YoUr SOUL WiL bE MiNe AnD i WiL bE a GOD!!!”

“No Temmie please, let the souls go!”, Chara begged, “They need to be freed, they don’t deserve to suffer like this!”

“U bE wroNG hOOmAn, EvERYoNE nEEdS To SuFFer! ThEN…SeE whAt ThIS WorLD ReLLY iS!” Tempe roared, “YouR oLd SAVE FILE iS FinAly mInE aGin…AnD WitH iT, i’LL SAVE OveR YoUR DeaTh! So i CaN kEEp SeIng U iN CutE, LitLE, BloDY PiEcEs!!!”

…..Oh my goodness…Temmie’s omega form….it’s horrifying. They’ve become a hybrid of a cat, a dog, a stuffed animal, and…human parts. The souls, they’re in Temmie’s three ears. There’s a way for Chara to stop them without fighting.

“Cha-…!!!”

What?! Something just covered your mouth, it’s pulling you back! No, you have to help Chara! You quickly looked at what it was…it’s some kind of smoke. It’s changing, the thing that’s covering your mouth feels like a hand and the thing that’s holding you back feels like an arm. What is it? What’s holding you back?!….No! It’s…it’s you!

“It’s been a while…Frisk”, Your opposite said softly, “Now you’ll pay for what you took from me”

“How did you come back?!”, you questioned before they covered your mouth again.

“Didn’t you know, I was following you ever since I appeared in Waterfall”, your opposite said, “I’ve been collecting all the negative energy from those around you, but it wasn’t enough. Until now”

That’s what that feeling was! They’re holding you tightly with one arm while using their hand to keep your head on Chara and Temmie. They’re forcing you…to watch from a distance!

“Frisk! Frisk where are you?!”, Chara called out to you as they dodged Temmie’s attacks, “I need your help, FRISK!”

“WhOeVR U sPEak tOO iSn’T HerE AnyMOrE”, Temmie taunted while attacking, “iN FaCt…tHeY WeRe juST UsiNG U, LiKe i aM!”

You struggle to free yourself from your opposite’s grasp. You manage to free your arm, but they punched your stomach bringing you to your knees and back in their arms.

“Why do you bother to care?”, your opposite asked calmly, “You know from the both of us feeling what they feel is pointless, there’s no hope gaining anything from what they had. Only a meaningless excuse to be around them”

That’s not true, it’s not true! Let go, let go!

“How are you not finding any of this interesting?”, they asked, “Seeing them suffer like we have, watching them feel pain. Isn’t this too your liking, aren’t you also me?”

Let go, let go! You have to save Chara, they’re getting hurt! You can’t let this happen! No matter how much you struggled, nothing happened. You can’t do anything…all you could do was watch…and cry.

“StILL nOT FiGhTinG Aren’T U?”, Temmie asked looking at Chara’s damaged body, “SaY, i’LL GiVe YoU sOmeThinG ReaLLY UsEFul. HeRe”, they said throwing a sickle to Chara.

“……”, Chara looks away from the weapon.

“CoME On, DoN’T makE thIs TouGh. takE iT”

“…..”, Chara refuses to take the weapon.

“DoN’t Be DumB, tAke It!”

“…..”

“StOp bEiNG NicE!”, Temmie shouted hitting Chara, “YoU sHouLD bE FiGhtIng BacK LiKe thE OtHerS Did!”

“…..”

“RrRrrR, FiNe!”, Temmie said throwing the sickle away, “thEn HoW abOUT yOu tRy CalliNG OuT tO FrIsk aGain, CoME oN Let mE Hear It So I cAn PrOVe My PoInt! ScReaM OuT liKe thE BaBy yOu aRe!”

“…..I’m sorry Temmie”, Chara said pulling their head up, “I’m sorry you went through so much pain, I wish…I wish I could have been there for you long ago”

“*Gasp*…..rrrrrRRR WHAT DO YOU KNOW??!!! YOU CAN’T UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL, HOW WE FEEL!!! BACK THEN AND RIGHT NOW!!!!”, Temmie shouted beating Chara brutally.

“……”, Chara's body shakes from massive pain.

“Pathetic, just like you”, your opposite said calmly disgusted.

….You’re sorry Chara, you can’t do anything.

“YoUr BoRinG Now, i’LL enD yOuR StUpiD LifE NoW”, Temmie said above Chara.

“…..”, Chara only looks up at the angry Temmie.

“ByE ByE”, Temmie said.

“….I’m sorry, everyone…”, Chara said with a weak voice.

“….*POOOW* AAAAAHHHHH!!!!”, Temmie shouted getting blast away.

WHAT THE??!!

“….hhhuh…?”, Chara said slowly.

You and your opposite looked to see who did that…*Long Gasp*!

“….Pa…pyrus…?!”, Chara said after seeing Papyrus appear beside them on their knees.

“Kid…are you-…oh god”, Papyrus said looking at Chara.

“You’re here…”, Chara said happily with a weak voice while bringing their hand up and placing it on Papyrus’s arm, “…you’re really here…”, they said sounding like they were going to cry.

“…Sorry I took so long kid”, Papyrus said calmly holding their hand, “Trust me…they WON’T get away with this”, he said sounding angry.

“RrRRrr, YOU’LL PAY FOR THAT YOU ASHTRASH!!!”, Temmie shouted running to Papyrus and Chara.

“HEADS UP GUYS!!!”, you heard someone shout.

“AAAHH, MY EYE!!!”

Who?….SANS!!!

“Sans what are you doing here?!” ,Papyrus asked surprised.

“Undyne called me and told me to come here, didn’t you get her call too?”, Sans said raising his eye socket, “…*GASP* HUMAN…what happened to you?!, he shouted running to Chara and holding them.

“YOU PESKY PEST, GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!”, Temmie roared with rage, “….What?! AAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!”, they shouted getting attacked by…TRIDENTS!

“Who do you think you’re calling pest?”

ALPHYS, AND THE ROYAL GUARDS!!!

“U…aLL oF YOu, HoW Could YoU bE HerE?”, Temmie said getting up.

“Tsk, let’s get this straight you hideous freak”, Alphys said with a serious tone while walking in front of Chara, Sans, and Papyrus, “WE are the Royal Guard! No matter what comes our way, we stand AND FIGHT!”, she said pointing her trident at Temmie.

“Like YEA!”, Catty shouted.

“…Yes!”, Bratty said standing up beside Catty.

“That’s right!”, Dogaressa and Dogamy together.

“*Growl*”, Doggo, Lesser Dog, and Greater Dog growl bringing their weapons up.

“Alphys, does this mean my brother and I are part the of Royal Guard?”, Sans asked still holding Chara.

“….Heheh yea, why not”, Alphys said looking back and smiling.

“*Long Gasp* Did you here that brother?!”, Sans said looking at Papyrus.

“Yea I sure did”, Papyrus said answering with a smile.

“…Heh…hhehehe”, Chara giggled softly, “…Thank you…all of you…”

“hEE hEE hEE, hoW laME!”, Temmie insulted, “YoU tHinK aLL oF U caN StOP mE? HahAHAhAh, YOuR StUpIDer tHaN tHiS hOOmaN AND ThAT olD HaG!”

“What?!”, Alphys questioned sounding serious.

“They…”, Chara said softly and sad, “They killed Toriel”, they said crying.

All eyes looked to Chara quickly and widened after what they heard.

“Queen…Toriel…?”, Sans questioned turning from shocked to sad.

“Yooouu….”, Alphys said turning to Temmie with a grudging tone and strongly grasping her trident, “YOU’LL PAY FOR THAT!!!!!!”, she roared dashing to them.

The rest of the Royal Guards followed and started attacking Temmie.

“Sans!”, Papyrus said.

“Yea?”

“Get the kid out of here!”

“Uh…R-right!”, Sans said then picking Chara up and fleeing.

“HuH?! Oh nO U DoN’t!”, Temmie said seeing Sans fleeing then block the way out.

“*gasp*…What!?”, Sans said stopping then jump out the way.

“Sans!”, Papyrus shouted.

“We’re okay!”, Sans shouted.

“…Stay close bro!”, Papyrus said after appearing beside Sans and Chara.

“Right!”

“….Fools”, your opposite said.

You watched with hope in your eyes as everyone fought back against Temmie. Alphys is throwing everything she’s got at Temmie with rage in her eyes, the Royals dodged and attacked Temmie from all around while Sans and Papyrus attack from a distance. But, there was something you forgot until now. Temmie’s save file! You can see every time Temmie’s health gets low, they reload to the time they had full health. This isn’t good, they can’t win. Wait…Temmie’s ears are turning the same color as the souls, THAT’S IT! You know what you have to do!….Breathe…reach deep down….

“What are you doing?”, your opposite questioned seeing your soul glow brighter and brighter, “Not this, NOT THIS NOW! YOU SHOULDN’T BE FEELING ANYTHING, STOP IT!!!”, they shouted holding you back.

*Your opposite is holding you back more and more…but…YOU…RE…FUSED!!!!*

“AH!”, your opposite shouted getting knocked back by you.

You see everyone getting tired, this is your chance! You run over quickly!

“iS thAt thE BesT U aLL hAv?!”, Temmie taunted, “DoN’t MakE mE LauGh”

“…Wha…FRISK!!!”, Chara shouted after seeing you run past them.

Everyone looks to Chara as you ran up to Temmie, you united your soul with Temmie!

“What?!…What is this…feeling?”, Temmie questioned.

“EVERYONE, FIGHT BACK!!! YOU CAN DO IT, I KNOW YOU CAN!!! YOU’RE NOT ALONE, LET’S BREAK FREE TOGETHER!!!”

*You reached out to all the souls within Temmie, they hear your called and unite with you*

“WhAt, tHe SOULS?! WHat ArE thEY….AAAAAAAHHHH!!!! STOP, YOU’RE SUPPOSE TO OBEY ME!!! STOP IT!!!”

“KEEP FIGHTING!!!”

“STOP IT, SSTOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!”

*You and the souls…are free*

“Thank you…”, you heard the souls say softly and quietly one by one as you feel them disappear.

You look up as you heard them, you smile. You looked to the Royal Guards, they’re alive and wondered what just happened. As for Temmie, they’re back to their previous form….weak and damaged. You stand behind where Temmie is.
