If the 20 hour rule existed in AFTG
I'll preface this by saying that in 1991, the NCAA made a "20 hour rule" to protect student athletes safe from abuse by universities. AFTG,,,, totally ignored this rule and the Raven's practice schedule is a really, really extreme version of why this stuff is in place.
Okay so
- First things first, this 7 hours of practice a day bullshit
- Hahahahaha yeah fuck no
-7 × 7 is 49
- 49 is wayy greater than 20
- So instead, they have 2 hours of practice a day
- Exy games are an hour and 3/4
- and since scrimmages count towards the time for the week
- you better bet that on scrimmage days they warm up and do the scrimmage
-and then get pointers really really fast
- and then hightail it out of there
- cause mandated time on the court?
- THAT COUNTS
- they. they can't have mandatory summer practices
- tho I think Nora did actually avoid that
- they can have a preseason
- but practices during summer break when it counts as "offseason"?
- nopity nope nope no
- Wymack waits until the next day to go over shit from competition because he's nice
- but also because he has to wait
- athletics meetings with the coach that are mandatory count and no countable activities can occur post- competition
- mandatory viewing of exy games?
- yes, that counts
- so everyone watching UT matches with coach?
- not a thing, my dude, not manditorily anyway
- I don't even know how to address the mess of "Neil watching shit while everyone practices"
- it.... might? be okay?
- but it might not
- would it count double????
- it isn't voluntary
- aaaaaaa I have math problems with it
- you can bet that Kevin's coaching contract ends at the end of the season and does. not. extend.
- because practice working on skills with a member of the coaching staff?
- fuck yeah that counts bayyybeee
- they do not have team meetings on the court. ever. that would take their time
- they have a day off, they have to
- they only get 8 hours out of season
- soooo thats like
- an hour every day
- and a scrimmage once a week
- also they have to have practice logs
- and Kevin HATES them
- its just so much work and he.
- doesn't want to
- nobody likes them but Kevin?
- he actively detests them
- anyway what im saying is that Kevin holds a lot more self-coached practices
Might do a part 2 involving the Ravens? Idk
