Valentine doesn't have an iconic quote or anything, but he does have a couple songs I repeatedly reference in regards to him:

This is Valentine's "theme song"! This verse especially just really resounded with me because a core part of Valentine's personal history and story revolve around his struggle to form connections, to find love and acceptance. 'How can you say/I go about things the wrong way?'—he's been made to feel like the way he loves and cares for people is wrong, because it doesn't always resemble what a neurotypical person expects (Val is autistic!). He loves very intensely, and primarily shows it through acts of service - empathy isn't his forté, he doesn't have an empathy drive, but he's got so much goddamn compassion it hurts. The people around him often miss this, though, and he's been called aloof or cold because he doesn't offer comforting words, and misses most social cues. Hence 'I am human and I need to be loved'—he has this line tattooed on his left arm! It felt the most fitting out of all of them.

This is Valentine's favourite song, in all universes. It's about love, and supposedly the song depicts a couple making love while an atomic bomb drops—and, well, Val's got a soft spot for love songs. That's the kind of love he's always figured he wanted; to find the person he'd wanna spend the end of the world with, with no regrets. I think there's hope in it, too—it's not just about everything ending. The lines 'You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time'/'I've seen some changes but it's getting better all the time' kinda give that feeling, that there's something that comes after the bomb. And that suits Val's hope that the future will be better, that some part of the broken world he lives in can be fixed. He knows it can, and he's damned determined to do his part to make it happen.

/gcon = genuinely concerned/genuinely confused, depending on context

/mg = mostly genuine

/s or /sarc = sarcastically/sarcasm

Refleksi tahun 2022

Tahun 2022 kumaknai dengan tahun perjuangan

Syukur Alhamdullilah kepada Allah Swt, yang melimpahi nikmat sehat untuk aku bisa menyelesaikan perjuangan PPG, sepertinya tanpa kekuatan dari Allah Swt aku seperti butiran debu, tak berdaya.

Butuh effort yang sedemikan untuk menyelesaikan, berjibaku selama 5 bulan akhirnyan SAH menambah gelar Gr dibelakang.

Menantang sekali rasanya kuliah kembali tapi dengan kondisi harus melaksanakan tugas disekolah, tanggung jawab dengan keluarga, dan deadline tugas PPG, menambah skill mengedit video pembelajaran, membuat media pembelajaran, Vcon minimal 3 jp per hari, membuat rencana aksi 9 layanan, rasanya aku senang bisa melewatinya dengan baik, meskipun kadang sakit kepala dan sakit pinggang.

so the second best thing that happened at vcon was during a fan version of Family Feud, late-night edition, and the question at hand was "name a terrible safeword," and someone on one of the teams said

"superwholock"

and i'm like 1) okay that is a great safeword because i can assure you the mood is over but 2) that's fucking hilarious anyway right? but when it isn't on the board and she gets the strike noise i call from the audience, "it's okay, i still like your shoelaces!" and she looks at me with this blank face of horror and I go "really? right over your head then?" but then the only other tumblrite in the room goes "I GOT IT!" and she recovers and goes "no... no! I got it, I was just... I stole them from the president, and..."

she was basically just so shocked it took a minute for her to recover

and meanwhile the rest of the room is just

"...what just happen?"
