8: My favourite art I've ever done is all locked behind NDA's. I've drawn some really nice backgrounds for a show that will hopefully come ONE dayyy ;;; Otherwise...personal art...is probably this:

It's quite old now but idk i just really like it...there's an interesting mixture of abstraction vs description within the piece.

If we're talking tf2 stuff it's probably this. I like the rendering style - how it feels 'rough' but rendered at the same time...and i drew some semi-nice hands for once in my life haha

10: UMMM i'm very negative about my own work...I compare myself to others a lot which im my artistic red-flag lol. I did twig the other day though that I would've loved my own work when i was 16 SO I guess that's something :) I think when everything 'clicks' for me i can achieve some nice shape flows, abstraction of forms via lineart and some fun expressions 13: I already work in art! I'm a background artist for animation - currently working on a kids show for the BBC :) I've done a tiny bit of everything though including art direction, character design, art for card games, toy design etc In my past life I was also a vfx artist (mainly surfacing and lookdev). I'd love to work on a feature or game next or work as a concept artist buuut I'm happy poodling around in backgrounds for now.

Why do you ship Sans x Frisk? As a person who ships them myself, what do you see in them, like about them? Personality traits, situations, tropes etc, anything that comes to mind, what makes you enjoy them and continue to breathe life to them?

Omg ok sooo... When I realized I was already shipping Sans and Frisk, maybe because I love the trope of the funny ironic character who has secrets and the silent protagonist who have a lot of will and power. I also have a soft spot for monster x human interactions, relationships and seeing several AUs with the two of them was what made me like it even more.

I think I liked them visually because the sprites in the game are so cute and the same size and the colors match and so on. I also see Sans more as a teenager and Frisk as well so i almost always draw and write them close. Frisk have a lot of secrets that Sans knows about and vice versa, and both have this drama about fate, about powers that can destroy, judgment and guilt, responsibility and determination i found super interesting.

I absolute love the concept of Frisk being a "more than a simple human" thing, a deity, some powerful force that can be either benevolent or dangerous when in contrast with Sans that's "just a normal boss monster" or something like that. I'm in love with Frisk being a god what just wants to live a normal life, having a normal family and a happy life and find this wish coming true with their monster family, and they find love with that one monster who has kept his eye socket on them all this time, seeing the sweetness and love that they share.

I also love the angst in the forbidden love thing, like, monster and human love being a taboo...

Frisk It's a character that ended up growing in my hand while I was drawing and creating, so to speak. I didn't want to let Frisk become that cliché of cute and lovable, so she/they transformed a little too quickly hehe. Today It's very different and that adorable cover is just a disguise for the real Frisk. Which isn't a terrible evil being either, it's just harder to comprehend and morally gray. They're determined still, to being a better person and changing the order of things and changing fate.

Sans I don't even know where and how to start because he has been my main and if not my most intense and prolonged hyperfocus. I have a lot of fun writing and drawing it in many different ways, with my favorite being this ironic, calm and funny little guy, but who carries a huge weight on his shoulders for the people he loves, a guy who worries too much about simple things and is a bit anxious and uncertain about the future.

Soo... Well i think that's a lot of reasons people like them two. They're two little guys, they go around the time and space, (like sans can teleport in space and frisk teleports in time thats so cool aaaa) them both like papyrus and toriel very much, they two are poker faced deadpan funny faces

I find them fun and even more fun is seeing other talented artists in the community doing their own interpretations of them in such unique ways. I love seeing fans making content for fans and how the characters change drastically in each person's hands, it's beautiful

ok. genuine question and i wanna hear your responses. imagine a hypothetical, standalone saints row game. it can be as connected or disconnected from the canon as you want. the only catch is that you must play as a canon character that is not the boss. think along the lines GooH, but instead of that it’s just. whatever your dream character-specific game is.

who would you want to play as? what would you want the plot of the game to be? specific mechanics? and even though we already have GooH, johnny and kinzie are still acceptable answers for this. you just gotta tell me what you would want the game to be about then.

I feel like I liked yakuza 5 a lot more than most people for some reason

#like a lot of people seem to not like it or think it’s mid #idk man but it was one of the games I enjoyed most and I really liked the range of characters you get to play #love me a murder mystery too #idk I think people seem to not like how disjointed the plot is at first and trying to keep up with everyone’s seperate plot and characters #and etc. but I personally really liked how it was all disjointed and the further you get into the game / the more characters you play the #more shit starts coming together and forming a full picture #like don’t get me wrong it’s not perfect and I do have qualms with some. choices. (mostly having to do with majima and #mirei) but overall it’s one of the games I’ve enjoyed the most and that’s kept me interested in the plot the most #fantastic to get a more in-depth look at haruka and to get to really know her by playing her and seeing how she interacts with people and #choices she makes and etc. I don’t think she was a fully fleshed out character prior to that #loved her with all my heart already don’t get me wrong but she just didn’t have much time on screen especially as a teenager to fully get #her personality across and some of the issues she deals with (mommy issues. abandonment issues #etc). #and her and uncle akiyama are a very nice unexpected duo!!! #the different settings were fun too. overall I think the whole thing just felt like more of a streamlined story in a way with drastically #different viewpoints depending on the character #also shinada’s a gift. bless him #daigo feels three dimensional and emotionally present in a way I didn’t see much in other games- even when he’s literally a boss in 4. tbh #the only other time I think he feels really solid as a character is in fuckin dead souls. I think it’s cause it’s SO rare to see daigo in #non-serious situations or vulnerable with people on purpose. dead souls has the first thing and y5 has a bit of both #and I could complain more about how y6 SHOULD have made daigo more present instead of sending him to fuckin jail the whole time but. I do #get that that was kind of important to the plot. hi! op of 'dante limbus company demanding to join a fucking union' here, if it helps any, dante IS a very silly person, despite being an amnesiac they are able to be a bit silly with it, and theres a neat feature in the game were you can find notes written by them on different lore aspects and a lot of the time they're like "and so there's this thing. it makes no sense. what the fuck is this. okay. i guess The City is just fucked up. okay." the gameplay is a turn based very stragety heavy rpg, but i dont think there's ever a point where i've felt super walled by it in terms of difficulty, and the rest of the characters ur gonna be seeing are very good too. big recommend.

i know there are people out there who didn't like chainsaw man's character design because they feel that most of them are boring but personally i think those are ultimately balanced out by the sheer weird designs of the devils

also the mundanity of the human characters' design helps in making the world feel more realistic and believable, because i don't think i can take the story seriously if denji had some gravity defying hairstyle lmao

#not saying the bright and fancy design is not good #but it all depends on the kind of aesthetic the artists want to emphasize #in the story #stories like yugioh etc have those fancy character designs because the story benefits from having such flashy characters #as the story itself is very flashy and theatrical #it's not very realistic to see people screaming out their attack and such for just a card game #but... that's the charm of the series #it's fantastical and fun #chainsaw man however does great with the mundane designs of the human characters because it makes fiends even more obviously... wrong #angel devil is the most human-like devil in the story and he still feels... not human from his character design alone #his height halo and wings really emphasized on that #just... i think people need to realized various art styles and aesthetic have it's time and place #and just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad you know? #tmi tag

yknow it's interesting how conceptually, and when it comes to its impact on the overall lore of the series, and its use of the playable characters, the presequel is like. one of if not the best game in the borderlands series. and yet despite that, due to how its story is told, it's considered the worst by almost everyone in the fandom. really goes to show how important gameplay and pacing can be

#i think the gunplay is good tbh. the lasers are fun and i like cryo damage and i think that's smth collectively agreed upon too #when i say gameplay i mean like. the quests. the maps. the actual battles. the enemies. etc #also despite having a really cool setting everything looks kinda dull and even p bad compared to bl2 for example #and i think that might be a factor in that too 🤔 if every map looks the same it's hard to tell the difference and thus follow the story #i wouldn't call this game a failure. tim is my fav character in the series and he originated there so legally i can't :P #but fr as i said it does so much for the series as a whole and as a game. despite not being very good. so gotta appreciate that

Only two days until octopath traveler 2, I'm genuinely so excited for it!!

#octopath traveler #I'm not sure if I'll liveblog it but!! I did play the demo and honestly? I've enjoyed the first octopath but this one seems #to have improved A LOT in regards to the stories #as in more atmosphere more character interactions etc #which is super exciting #I picked Temenos first and really like him so far he's fun #I then also recruited Osvald and Ochette and ahhh there's so many things I like about them and the way #the game tells their stories #like the fact that you can choose your companion with Ochette or the way the intro for Temenos worked #i think it's neat #oh yeah also I've realized that my taste in characters is way too predictable #give me a tragic traumatized guy and/or a sarcastic soft and clever blorbo and they probably *will* be my faves #I picked Temenos because I thought 'oh hey!! a male cleric heck yeah!' and he did not disappoint in the slightest #also his dynamic with crick is very funny ngl #not sure who I'll pick as my last party member #I'll probably either go for the thief or the merchant #both because I like the jobs and I miss stealing from others without fighting them #but also because they interest me the most based on their potential concepts #I don't know anything other than what I've seen in my 3 hour playthrough of the demo btw #but yeah #OH YEAH I forgot to mention this but I think it's funny that I can mug people exclusively at night with Osvald #especially because you can manually change between day and night #crime time

the rpc by far. at least kinblr was filled with other fat delusional autistics that were mean, like if someone was insulting me i at least knew they were doing it bc they were jealous of my kinlist or something. the rpc has to be one of the most racist, ableist groups on tumblr ive seen. heavy on the racism.

#to put it into context i was never told on kinblr that people were demonizing me because i was ugly #i was however told that people hated my oc and thought he was annoying and demonized him bc he was fat and 'not conventionally attractive' #multiple times. despite him being nicer then 40% of the characters in the rpc #i had people sending me constant stuff about how i was faking my disabilities for attention or money or sympathy. i was getting anon hate #constantly. someone tried to frame me for proshipping because they were upset my character hooked up with my friends characteer before #theirs did. and that followed me for months and months after despite the three of our characters being IN a polycule #the thing is i think people think iots free game to make potshots at your characters weird traits for fun but i was very open about most of #my characters being heavily based off myself. ie: fat. autistic. strange. goth. brain damage. schizophrenic. etc #which hurt when they'd go after those parts of the characters. #id have people target specific triggers of mine and try to trigger my paranoia etc etc #and ontop of all that. im white #i have friends who have gone through so much worse in the rpc because they aren't. the racism is so fucking bad #im rambling #kinblr sucked ass but in a very like #'the special ed kids are fighting' kind of way. like 90% of the bad shit in kinblr was like #i got 'called out' for fakjing being jewish with no proof in the slightest bc they were a double and wanted me off the platform LOL #txt
