ohh that is SO CUTE i do this with my own cats

the first time you mimic Foul Legacy's chirps, he has to do a double take- that sounds like him!! except not him, at the same time- uniquely you, your voice softer and less guttural than his. he nudges you insistently- do it again! - and when you let out the same quiet chirp he starts trilling delightedly, nuzzling and pressing his face against your cheek; delicate Abyssal kisses. his arms wrap around your shoulders and squeeze you tight, able to feel the rumbling coming from his chest as he purrs. when he chitters, you chirp back, and he trills again, and you have an entire little conversation! even if you're not saying anything you can understand, he still glows with joy at this simple type of conversing

Legacy already thinks that you purr! it's when you hum in satisfaction, or let out a contented sigh or exhale in relief- but to hear you try and imitate his deep, rolling purrs makes him unbelievably happy. Abyssal monsters actually don't purr that much unless they're feeling safe and comfortable- but Foul Legacy always feels at home around you, and he purrs constantly as a way of conveying that. to hear you purr in your own way shows that you're comfortable near him as well, you feel safe around a monster such as him. he loves you and you love him, and he couldn't be more delighted

hiccup and astrid only works for me if they're written as foils. Hiccup is a soft hearted pacifist who has to learn to make tough calls. Astrid is a hard core warrior who has to learn compassion. they both admire the other for their strengths, and by some combination of striving to be more like each other, and hitting the breaks when one of them goes too far in one direction, they manage to meet in the middle and work really well together

i’m incredibly fortunate enough to say that I DO!! i own this wonderful photostat model sheet from Porky the Wrestler!

a photostat is essentially the ‘30s equivalent of a photocopy, so it’s not THE actual model sheet drawing, but it was still in the hands of at least one of the animators who worked on the short! if you hold it at a certain angle and get the light to reflect off of it, there are actually some indentations of writing, as if someone was writing on a piece of paper on top of it… and of course the hooves and side snout drawn in marker which aren’t meant to be there (maybe it was a slow work day?)

i actually still haven’t gotten it framed, i need to… but i also just really enjoy being able to hold it in my hands and try and make out the writing indentations on top and also lose my mind at Oh My God Someone In The Tex Avery Unit Touched This At One Point. plus, the material is glossy/has a cardboard sort of feel to it (like a more sturdy printed photograph) so it’s not as delicate as animation paper and gets along fine sitting on my shelf as is HAHA. still, definitely want to find a proper means of displaying it sometime!

#it’s the oldest item in my collection :) i presume from sometime in late 1936 since the short was released in very early 1937 #second oldest is my 1938 Porky’s Duck Hunt book #thennn a Porky compilation comic book from 1942? then things get a little ambiguous with the age but generally span from the mid 40s #such as my Porky coasters Porky and Daffy pencil stand and piggy bank respectively and ceramic Daffy figure #i have a LT record album from 1947 and then a Bugs Bunny little golden book and Dell comic book from 1949… and two other Dell comics from 1 #1950 and 1951. aaand a Pepe Pepsi glass from the 70s #and that’s the extent of my vintage collection! #anonymous #asks #I FORGOT MY PORKY SQUEAK TOY! i have a rubber Porky squeak toy from sometime in the 50s also and he is very cute and makes me happy #he stands proudly next to the ceramic Daffy figure as they both keep the peace

oh i LOVE the second idea- maybe you're a storyteller or a performer in Liyue that Childe stops to watch, eventually striking up a conversation and becoming close with you. Foul Legacy adores your voice and songs, curling around you and trying to mimic your lovely melodies with his chitters and trills- he'll be elated if you do your best to learn some songs from Snezhnaya to sing to him, the faint memories from Childe helping him purr along to the words. he can't exactly serenade you back, given his lack of speech, so instead he urges Childe to do it for both of them, watching happily from the back of the Harbinger's mind as the two of you dance together in the living room- one day Foul Legacy will dance with you as well, but he wants to practice first to ensure that he doesn't accidentally hurt you

he has nightmares horribly often, the screech that he makes shaking you awake and sending you running to his room. you find Legacy hiding beneath the blankets of his nest, trembling and letting out faint cries that turn to whimpers when you lift the covers and peek under him. he's quick to crawl into your lap the moment you sit down, trying to fit his body against yours. you cradle his head against your chest, quiet hums transitioning into a gentle lullaby as you wipe away Legacy's tears, his whines tapering off into soft sniffs and sighs. he squeezes you close once your song completes, nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck and being carefully sure that his horns don't poke or prod you. the next morning he'll nudge you thankfully, gently giving your fingers a few nibbles, but for now please just stay with him- he needs you desperately
