Michael and Victora's bantering, probably

Due to their different upbringings Michael and Victoria argue like cats and dogs, and it clearly shows when the two of them first met sometimes either Morgan would have to put their foot down or Mime quickly changing topics to get them distracted from one-another. It take time for them to get used to one-another's presence and, while Michael and Victoria still bicker like children, it isn't as hostile as it was- which is relieving to hear from Mime and the others. They're on friendly terms after the events in Anemone Village but there's still some, if not friendlier, bickering between the two.

Michael: Hey Victoria, did you know-- Victoria: Michael, I swear, if this is one of your stupid jokes... Michael: Oh no, nothing like that, just a little fun fact I think you might find funny. Victoria: (sighs) ...What is it? Michael: (chuckles) Bears are just bees without ears. [Silence fell between the two, Victoria taking a deep breath as she chucks her now-empty cup of coffee at Michael, who avoided the contact with ease; the knight swearing at the mage in annoyance.]

#Jellicle Ladies: Victoria - Relationship Headcanons

1998

OTP: Platoria.

In my angsty Plato-is-Macavity’s-son headcanon, it is Victoria who helps him start healing from his traumas and come to not just endure and exist but live and thrive. Her acceptance and love are a powerful force. A truly beautiful and adoring pair!

Family: (I have several for this and not all our connected)

1. Quaxo/Mistoffelees: He is her younger brother. They’re a protective of each other but Victoria a bit more so. he has a bad habit of losing perspective on things and she keeps him grounded. she doesn’t worry about him though because she knows he has a good head on his shoulders. she also finds his wacky and sassy sense of humor hilarious!

2. Etcetera and Jellylorum: She is the older sister of Etcetera and daughter of Jellylorum. She is far calmer then Etcy and less cynical then Jelly and it is not uncommon for them to rub each other the wrong way sometimes. but the very things that can cause strife are also what she loves about them. She adores Etcy’s wide-eyed exuberance and admires Jelly’s practical and grounded perspective. she feels it keeps her balanced.

3. Munkustrap and Demeter: I just adore the thought of them being either Misto and Victoria’s parents or Victoria and Etcetera’s ok!

4. Alonzo and Cassandra: Again, i adore the thought of them being her and Misto’s parents!

Friends:

Rumpleteazer, Jemima and Etcetera: they buddies and they vibing!

2019

OTP: Tantoria

Tantomile is near or next to Victoria a lot thoughout the movie and giving the white cat some long lingering looks. I can easily see them becoming the best of friends and then girlfriends! Such cuties!

Family:

Bombalurina: Bomba was a show cat used for breeding who took up with Macavity to escape that lifestyle. Victoria was one of her last kittens. They don’t have much of a relationship because of this and Bomba doesn’t even recognize her when Macavity crashes the Ball. Victoria senses a connection to the criminal queen but she instinctively knows not to pursue it. Victoria and Bombalurina yet have an unspoken softness towards each other they aren’t sure how to explain, the white cat wishing to embrace her and the gold queen feeling almost protective at times.

Cassandra: She not the most maternal of cats and is rather suspicious at first of everyone she just meets. but there is something about this fresh faced newbie that just makes her go Mother Bear. Victoria is not sure how to react at first but comes to adore and admire the hard edged queen!

Skimbleshanks and Munkustrap: The cool uncles.

Friends:

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer: the instigator friends constantly getting her in trouble. they also start getting her out of it too. sometimes. when they remember. and when their not just as stuck as she is.

Coricopat and Mistoffelees: The sweet, safe friends. don’t have to worry about getting into trouble but you know you’re going to have a good time with lots of cuddles.

Bustpher Jones: The mature friend. He slid into a serious depression after being abandoned when his extremely wealthy owners went bankrupt awhile before he ended up meeting the tribe. After Victoria helps him get adopted by the owner of a club he opens up to her and the two bond. A waitress -who is also studying ballet - at a nearby restaurant near the club ends up adopting Victoria after seeing them together. Bustopher later admits he had set things up for her to meet her new human family and Victoria is very grateful to him.

I have a question for everyone. How old do you personally think each cat is in human years? You can choose from any production of Cats. This is you're own opinion and all opinions are valid and encouraged. I'm just curious, personally, I'm basing it off the 1998 video cast and I age them like this...

Older cats 45+

Jenny, Jelly, Gus, Old D, Bustopher Jones, Skimbleshanks

I see them largely as parental figures.

Adults 20+

Munkustrap, Tugger, Macavity, Exotica, Asparagus, Bombalurina, Coricopat and Tantomile (twins), Demeter, Grizabella

I listened to what Mr Brent said in his live stream, and I do agree that Grizabella is around the age of Bombalurina and Demeter so that's why she is there.

Teens 13 to 19

Alonzo, Cassandra, Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer (I see them as twins), Pouncival, Tumblebrutus, Plato, Mistoffelees/ Quaxo

I've put the teens in age order from oldest to youngest. Alonzo I think is training to be Munkustraps right hand cat.

Kittens 5 to 12

Jemima, Victora, Electra, Etcetera

Same with the teens but from youngest to oldest.

it’s hard for me to talk about her before rambling a bit so here i go! her name is audrey cramer which is 1). a reference to my favorite actress ( audrey hepburn ) and 2). a reference to one of my favorite families ( the cramer women ) in my favorite soap opera, one life to live. i love ( love ) soaps; passions, all my children, and one life to live were my biggest favs even though passions was stupid most of the time looking back. the deaths of AMC / OLTL still hurt. but hey, general hospital, days, and the cbs soaps are still kicking even if i don’t watch them. the point of bringing this up is that the mini-story in my head with these characters in the sims is basically kind of a...love letter to soaps and the tropes they have ( the romance, the cheating, scandals, the star crossed lovers, the people who die but never stay dead, etc. ) but with a fantasy twist since the town is occupied by fairies, wizards, werewolves, etc.

anyway, audrey. while soaps are an ensemble, pretty much every single one has that one female character that ‘leads’ the show ( all my children had erica kane, one life to live had victora / vicki lord, general hospital still has laura spencer, days of our lives also still has its female lead, marlena evens, etc, etc. ) audrey is the ‘lead’ of [fictional town i haven’t fully decided the name of].

audrey is well... me. her name was literally my middle name back when i first created her back when my brother got me the sims 1 ( side note: i love my big bro. he’s great ). she’s always been black, she’s aways been a writer, and a hopeless romantic who just so happens to be good at things i’m not ( i hate cooking -> audrey ended up going into the professional chef career lmao ). she was basically built off the things young summer liked and did or either aspired to do or get better at. she is, quite literally, my idealized self i guess. ( i think her love interest may or may not have originally been based off this cute hispanic boy i spent all day at the pool with once one summer. did we dramatically look at each other through the gates when he finally had to go home? maybe. i was in love ya’ll!!! )

i literally had a journal in middle school were i wrote out stories between the characters - although looking back on it now, i would probably cringe since most of it would read like a trashy reality show to me ( for context, stuff like flavor of love / i love new york was at its peak back then ) rather than the well crafted soap that 13 year old me envisioned. however, instead of just...throwing all that away, i recently started to build this storyline in my head ( mostly b/c i’m not very fond of the sims 4 and want to find ways to keep myself invested in it ) and revamp parts i didn’t like. basically i asked: how can i make this interesting to me - even if it is, admittedly, self indulgent to my tastes? the answer was to start building a world which is...something i’ve never done before? and it’s still in like super, super infant phases b/c i haven’t been playing ts4 at all but it is something i want to work for my own enjoyment / challenge to myself.

SO. the beginning of the story has always started with audrey returning home for a funeral - her mother’s funeral to be exact. there’s a lot of baggage here due to the fact that 1). her mom is/was easily the most important in town, 2). the cramers, who are also witches, are seen as the ‘pillars’ of the community and thus someone needs to step up and take her mother’s place (i’m still debating on her mom’s new name  / whether i want it to be a soap character reference or not so that’s why i’m not saying a name), and 3). her mother’s death slowly begins to look more and more like a murder than a natural cause of death.

on top of all of this, audrey hasn’t been back home since graduating high school and leaving her HS sweetheart behind due to conflicting desires ( she wants to escape what she is - a witch / half faye via her father - and wants to leave it behind while he takes pride in his family and what he is - a werewolf. ( we all know they’re going to fall in love again but...slow burn baby ).

there’s also the fact that well...the cramers like all families are dysfunctional. before i touch on her sisters, however, i also have to mention another trope within soap operas. if a character (doesn’t matter if they’re a man or a woman) has multiple children then each child is basically guaranteed to have a different mom / dad  ( if a brother and sister on a soap have the same mom and dad, that’s actually a miracle lol ). that’s how it is with audrey and her sisters, serena and alexendra.

serena. the oldest who was originally the baby - although audrey tends to act more like it. literally gives not a single fuck(tm) about having magical powers and constantly leaves the council on read about becoming the new head now that her mother is dead. she’s single, constantly ready to mingle - in bed. basically fulfills the hot / steamy part of the ‘love in the afternoon’ part of soaps + is a person whose life is a mess and is always into something they probably shouldn’t be in.

alexenda. the baby who, at least back during the ts1 and ts2, was actually the oldest but things change!!! her personality has changed a lot because she used to be the oldest that was a nerd - i admittedly wasn’t invested in her back then as much as i am now. is more of a modern day hipster now who is an artist more than anything else. i’m still fleshing her new personality out so there’s not much here yet.

the momma without a name yet ( might just be marlena b/c while i’ve never been super into days of our lives, the character marlena literally got possessed by the devil twice and that should be honored tbh ). anyway, she dead. has had an antagonist relationship with esperanza kane since forever and may or may not have been sleeping around with her husband. oops. ( esperanza is the mother of christian, audrey’s ex. :))) )

anyway, this isn’t like....a deep plot. i’m very self aware about it. it’s messy and drama filled b/c that’s well...soaps lol.

bonus: they also have pets. the dog is named carly after a character from general hospital that’s always yelling and in people’s faces lol. the brownish cat is the mom’s cat, vicki (named after the ever wise victoria lord), who can speak and acts as an ‘advisor’. audrey’s cat is...victor manning who doesn’t think he’s a cat and would probably try to fight you in the street if he could - that’s what you can expect from a cat named that lol. he loves belly rubs though!!!!

I just saw the trailers for the Cats movie.

And I am not happy.

I know some people don’t like the Cats musical and that’s fine, to each their own. However, it’s one of my favorite musicals. The thing about Cats is the reason I think it does so well is because of the dancing, the song and the costumes. Altogether, it’s an enjoyable experience. 

This movie looks like complete and total garbage.

Not only does everyone look really weird but they’re giving the musical a plot and making Victoria, the white cat, the main star.

Oh boy, where do I even begin?

Cats doesn’t have a plot. It’s based off poems by T.S. Eliot.  All the names and characters come from those poems. And if it did have a plot, I would say it’s basically that the Jellicle cats come together once a year to send someone off to cat heaven. And Grizabella, the cat who sings Memory (the most famous song from the musical) is the one who gets sent. Throughout the musical, she’s shunned by the others. We don’t know why that is but like that’s a part of the musical.

So not only does adding a plot make zero sense and is probably not going to work, why did they make Victora the star? Hell, a lot of people don’t even know her name. I know her name because I love this musical.

This is going to be a trainwreck.

things that i have learned living by myself.

always check if you have toilet paper and paper towels before you leave the house!

a tea kettle is a good investment. They’re not very expensive and you can use them for so many things. They even make coffee that comes in bags.

If you’re doing something dangerous let someone know! Like a five second text to say you’re going out side in the storm to roll up your car widow or something can save your live.

Always take care of your pets. Their whole world depends on you and if you can’t be there for them or give them what they need then don’t get a pet!

Change your underwear daily. You may not be able to shower everyday for what ever reason but change your underwear. Not only can it lead to odor but it can also cause chaffing and rashes.

if you wear makeup then keep spare with you. I get ipsy once a month and i use the extra bags to store an extra set of lipstick, eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner, foundation, and powder. Trust me you don’t want to have to be without when you really  need it.

Adding on to that, keep deodorant on you. Just trust me. You never know when you might wind up staying out over night.

Don’t forget to brush your teeth. Again it might be a day or two before you get home.

cook all at once when you’re not hungry. Cook up a big bunch of food on your days off to keep you tied over for the week.

Buy a crocpot (my spelling sucks) you can make so many things and they last forever.

Make friends with your neighbors if you can. You never know when you will need help and most people aren’t that bad.

Yoga won’t kill you. If you’re trying to lose weight or just chill, yoga is a good way to do that. Take it slow and you can find plenty of videos for it on line.

Dancing is one of the most fun ways to work out. Zumba is my favorite but i’ll looking up belly dancing. Once you get the movements down you forget what you��re doing.

Swimming is best though. Swimming is likely the best way to loss weight however for many that’s not really an option.

Sunscreen. I don’t care who you are or what color you are wear sunscreen. No one wants skin cancer or the pain of a sunburn.

Buy a halter for your pets. Its much safer for them then just using the caller and they don’t pull as hard on it. (yes cats can be trained to use one too)

explain your situation to your landlord. If you are having trouble paying or coming up with it all at once, go talk to your landlord. Alot of the time they will help you out if they can. Its much easier to take things in stride then to try and find someone to replace you.

If you need help, you need help. Don’t feel bad for having to ask for help. Weather it’s some cash from your parents or food stamps, if you need it, you need it. The odds are stacked against us as it is. Don’t let your pride do you in too.

Books are your friend. In stead of buying a t.v bundle stick to straight internet. You can watch alot of stuff on line for free and you could invest that time to reading. It shows if you read alot and can sometimes help you in the work place.

Learn a second language. I know, i know, how typical but it can come in handy. If nothing else you can learn sign language. Any second language you know is a marketable skill.

Go back to school as soon as you can. You don’t want to be stuck at that job you hate just because you don’t have a degree do you?

Take care of your car. Get the oil changed every three to six months. Clean it out. Buy some good windshield whippers. Save up for good tires. Trust me it helps alot.

Put back any money you can. Open a savings account and put back what you can. Even if it’s only ten dollars a month. It will add up i promise. And you never know when you’ll need it.

Work out payments for hospital bills. Very few jobs offer insurance. And most that do won’t hire full time so that they don’t have to give it to. But that doesn’t mean you won’t get sick. As soon as you can, call up the hospital or who ever and ask if they can work out payments or offer discounts. The more bills you have the worse your credit is going to be. And you need credit for so many things.

Speaking of which. Work up your credit. There are a few good ways to do it. But the best i’ve heard to do is get cards from stores that you shop at. Most of them are easy to pay and you can go and buy something with a card then pay it off in full right after.

If you wear bra’s make sure you buy ones that fit and will last. You can go to places like victora’s secret and get messured. It won’t kill you and it can save so much back problems.

Turn off stuff when you leave. You don’t need it on if you’re not there then don’t leave it on.

Lotion is important.

If you shave your legs then shave them twice. It will keep then smooth longer and it will get more of the hair. Also lotion after your done.

use towels in the place of papertowels as much as you can. you will save alot of money doing so.

Don’t do dangerous things by yourself. Get help, call someone, something. If you live alone and no one knows to check on you then you could be there for a long time if you do get hurt.

Pack a lunch the night before can make your life easier.

Water. Drink as much as possible.

Lemons, garlic, honey, and cinnamon are super foods. Get as much as you can into your diet can help you in so many ways.

If you take garlic pills (They make some that are odorless) Daily then bugs won’t bother you. They don’t like the smell and won’t bite you.

mice don’t like moth balls either. But they are poisonus so be careful around pets!

And remember to be safe!

Here are @purewhitekitten‘s headcanons about the various cats of the jellicle tribe (and by extension mine, since she got me into this show).

A few things to keep in mind here:

I’m open to doing RPs that deviate from these relationships and ages, it’s just my default setup. 

These are cats, not people (though the ages are based more closely to a human lifespan, because obviously a 10-year-old cat is middle-aged, not a kitten).  If you’re going to get on my case about the fact that Plato clearly mated with Victora in at least some productions, I have nothing to tell you. They are cat people. Cats be like that. Not to mention the fact that we have no idea what age a human-cat-thing comes of age,  except that Victora is apparently that age.

There is a reason the ages are ranges for many of these; it’s more of a relative marker than an exact age. For example, it’s important that Old Deuteronomy is the oldest, and it’s important that the kittens are the youngest.

Misto *flustered*: Because he just found out Tugger and I have...I mean we...we've been biological with each other a lot.

Victoria: What do you mean biological?

Misto: Well, one day we were frighting about something in my den and then next thing I knew we were wrestling on the ground and then the next thing I knew I was kissing him on the lips and he was kissing me back and then the next thing I knew I was biting him on the back of the neck and then the next thing I knew....biological stuff happened between us! And it keeps happening!

Victoria: Oh... so does this mean you and Tugger are mates now?

Misto *frustrated*: I don't know! He did follow me home and wouldn't leave and then the humans deiced to keep him, so maybe? We haven't really talked about it.

Victoria *gently* :Do you want to be mates with him?

Misto: Yes.

Victoria: How did Munkustrap find out?

Misto: Tugger told him. Apparently Bomba's in heat or something and Munkustrap wanted to know why Tugger wasn't being...biological with her and Tugger said he didn't want to because he's been...biological with me and doesn't want to be biological with anyone, but me and Munkustrap get this angry look in his eyes and started yelling and it looked like he was going to hit me so like a coward I ran away.

Victoria *pats him on the head*: Poor Misto, well if I thought Munkustrap was going to hit I'd runaway too. But you know you can the word mating right?"

Misto *whimpering*: I don't like that word.

*Tugger suddenly appears*
