an. silly little head canon (college student ✋🏼) sorry for disappearing!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Studying at Jeff's is a serene and sweet atmosphere.
- The orange and pink hues of sunset hit your notebook as you made revision notes, old classic songs playing from Jeff's radio as background noise.
- Suddenly you felt a large hand tuck your hair strand behind your ear.
- You smile, knowing it’s Jeff when he continues to tie your hair up more neatly. “As pretty as your hair is, it’s gonna be in your way” he mutters in his calming voice.
- Your smile widens as you look up at him from where he’s standing over you “thank you babe” you say, puckering your lips playfully for a kiss.
- He chuckles at your antics before leaning in to mould your lips together, he hums satisfied, before pulling away.
- “You’re not stressing yourself too much are you?” He asks and you shake your head “nope”
- He hums again. “I don’t believe you”
- “Huh?”
- “You’ve been here since morning, it’s now evening. Come get some rest love” he says, leaving no room for argument as he picks you up so easily from the chair, his muscular veiny arms that were displayed from his rolled up sleeves wrapped around you tightly.
- You yelped slightly as you sling your arms over his shoulders so you don’t fall.
- He lays across the sofa and places you in between his legs, allowing him to give you a shoulder massage and press wet kisses across your neck.
- You melt into his embrace, momentarily forgetting all about you work until you felt his breath in your ear.
- “All this work is going to give you a headache, at least let me help you out with the work, okay angel?” He says and you smile, knowing it’s not negotiable.
- “Okay love” you replied, before pressing a kiss to his hand that lay on your shoulders.

Random things Pixie has said!
Kai: Like, no offense to myself and all, but what the fuck am I actually doing?
---
Kai: I am very small and I have no money, so you can imagine the kind of stress that I'm under.
---
Kai, going fishing: I’m going LIE to fish!
---
Kai: I’m a masochist, not a loser.
---
Kai: I’m not like other girls. I’m way, way worse.
---
Kai: Here's two facts about me. Kai: 1. I hate hot people. Kai: 2. I'm a hypocrite.
---
Kai: I am not a whore, and, not that I’ve done the math, but, if I were, I’d be the super classy kind that gets flown to Dubai to stay in an underwater hotel.
---
Kai: Welcome to my very first vlog, in which I try different hair products! Kai: sprays hairspray in her mouth Kai: Well, right off the bat I can tell you this one is not very good.
---
Kai: I’ve never smoked marijuana. I ate a brownie once at a party. It was intense. It was kind of indescribable. I felt like I was floating. Turns out there was no pot in the brownie. It was just an insanely good brownie.
---
Kai: I like wearing oversized sweaters. Not just because they're extremely comfy and cuddly, but because whenever the sleeves are really big, I get to flop them around and smack people.
---
Kai: I may be stupid. The Squad: … Kai: Oh, did you think I was going to finish that sentence?
---
Kai: …This is one of those moments where it doesn't really matter what I have to say, isn't it?
---
Kai: Well, you know what they say: Can’t bake a pie without losing a dozen men!

Honestly these feelings must be heightened for a lot of Tkkrs because they’ve just come out of an intense two weeks only to be thrown into another solo project so soon and one that is being promoted in a completely different manner by the company. It’s easy to put the blame on JK because you think it’s unfair, but all in all, despite the sabotage of sales and delayed orders and deleted streams/views etc, Layover has been a very wholesome era. Taehyung’s achieved so much and most importantly he’s looked incredibly happy.
Don’t take what Tae and JK solos are saying as an excuse to project your retaliations onto TK themselves.
I think it’d be good to step back if you’re feeling overwhelmed/negative. There’s a plan in place and reasons for why things are being rushed. I imagine October will have other member’s projects too not just JK’s.
As for “public support” let’s sit down and actually take a look at what’s been done:
- JK’s mentioned he heard Layover first, and that the tracks are good.
- Tae’s mentioned he asked to study SD with JK, and ended up recording it at JK’s place with his guide. He’s also mentioned that JK engaged in discussions with him throughout the process. Tae put down Seven in his Spotify bingo. And as we previously saw, Tae surprised JK by dancing to Seven on stage and JK expressed how thankful he was for that.
- Namjoon, Hobi and Jimin posted SD on Layover’s release day. So did Wooga squad, though they captioned it with little messages too. Wooga have also been vlogging with his songs. Taehyung has also shown support for Hyungsik via a recorded message for his fanmeet, and irl for Peakboy at the Noice event.
- Namjoon mentioned LMA’s mv in passing, as well as saying SD is his favorite track. This was in direct response to weverse live comments.
- Tae mentioned Hobi listened to the album before (I personally think this was before he enlisted and at JK’s)
- Jimin showed up publicly to support Tae’s live show, but not for the entire show.
- Yoongi’s said he didn’t want to steal the spotlight from Tae.
Now, looking at this list I personally think that it was Tae’s Crew, and Wooga squad who publicly expressed the most support. Tae’s Crew especially have written heartfelt messages on their experiences and Tae’s stylist has been updating every achievement of Tae in his IG.
Am I saying that BTS’ public displays of support weren’t genuine? No, I just think it be quite mild and assume more was said privately/in their GC. We know Tae did the same for Hobi and other member’s too. Not everything has to be shown online. Just because they’re not telling us they’re keeping up to date doesn’t mean they’re not. JK definitely watched Tae’s Smoke Dance, even if he didn’t comment on it.
As for JK, I personally think he’s been focusing on himself these weeks. He’s busy and he’s only going to get busier. His recent live was very short and was meant to be a catch up after performing. He spoke to Jin for most of it anyway. His Tiktok dances have been for hyping up what I assume will be 3D promo on there, since there’s been rumors that Tiktoker Addison Rae is involved in the MV.
I urge the Tkkrs who are feeling conflicted to take a look at TK’s schedules and see how they aren’t overlapping but follow right after. See how they have some similarities and a hint of the other in them. I think they’ve talked a lot about what the other will be doing.
Hi anon!
Yes to this! And especially to Layover promo having been so wholesome. I’ve loved Tae’s content so much. I feel his heart was in it and he seemed so happy 🥰.

Josh's White Deep V Tee (Josh x Reader)
"Totally up to you if you want to write this or not, but possibly an imagine where the reader is friends with the buttercream squad and she films a video with Josh, Conor and Jack and they somehow ruin her shirt so Josh offers her one of his and she's a bit insecure because she's curvy that it won't fit but he encourages her to put it on and sure enough it fits, and the guys tell her not to be insecure about her weight :)"
____________________________
"WRONG!" Jack yells, signaling that you and Josh have to do another forfeit and that Jack and Conor get another point.
"How am I supposed to know your family cat's name??" you complain.
"I'm hurt, y/n" Jack feigned "You don't follow me on snapchat, obviously, because I've only said it a thousand times."
On your trip to London you had tried to make the rounds to bank as many collab videos as possible. You had filmed a hilarious go-pro hide and seek video with you and Joe against Zalfie, a very dramatic nerd vs nerd video with Dan and Phil, a clothes swapping video with Louise, and you and Josh had just finished vlogging your first tour around the city. When you arrived back at the flat Jack asked you and Josh to film a video for his "Brothers vs _______" series.
"Drama queen. What is our forfeit?" Josh asked, knowing that there were only 3 or 4 left and they were all bad.
Conor pulled a piece of paper out of the hat and started laughing so hard he couldn't read it. Grabbing it from his hand, you read it out loud. "Oh, god. It says to let the members of the opposite team give you a Marmite face mask."
"Yes!" Jack cheered, leaving the room to grab the Marmite.
"Pleeeeeeeeease don't get this in my hair." you begged, knowing he was still going to get it everywhere, including your hair.
Sitting down with the brothers standing behind you two, Jack started putting Marmite all over your face while Conor started drawing a penis on Josh's face with the Marmite. "Jack! You just dropped it down my shirt! Ew! It's squidgy! And all over my boobs!"
Perfectly timed, all three boys moved so they could see where Jack had just dropped the Marmite. "Really boys?" you laughed, staring at the camera.
"Looks like we have our thumbnail" Conor laughed. "I think Y/n got the worst of this, though." He dipped his hand in the Marmite drenching Josh's hair and face in the rest of it.
Finally it was time to end the video. Jack and you sat in the middle with his arm around your shoulders. Josh on your other side and Conor on Jack's other side. "Subscribe to these three and give this video a thumbs up! I have to say, I've never seen Marmite look so good." Jack teased as he once more openly looked at your now very sticky cleavage.
Turning the camera off, Conor offered you his bathroom to clean up since Josh had just hopped in the downstairs shower. "I'll show you where everything is." he lead you up to his bathroom after you grabbed your bag.
"Towels are in there, use whatever you want in the shower, and the hair dryer and stuff is all under here." Conor pointed.
"Thanks. I cannot wait to not be sticky." you laughed, finally getting your face clean in the sink. Opening your bag, your stomach dropped. "Oh, shit. I don't know where I left my sweater." you said, realizing you'd have to hand wash your shirt in the sink and wait for it to dry.
"That's not a problem, I'll just grab one of my t shirts." Conor went to leave.
"No, no. I'll just hand wash this one really quick if you can throw it in the dryer while I'm in the shower?" you asked hoping he'd just do it and not argue with you.
"Y/n, I have more shirts than I can count. I can throw yours in the wash, but you don't have to wait for it." he replied.
Internally sighing and getting a bit anxious, you finally just said it. "Conor, your shirts aren't going to fit me. It's fine. Really. Just let me scrub this really quick and then I'll hop in the shower. it's not a big deal."
Conor's face dropped knowing he had just made you uncomfortable. "Hey, hey. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. I wasn't even thinking about that. How about you take it off and hand it to me through the door and I'll take care of it while you're cleaning up." he cheesily smiled trying to fix the fun mood he felt he had just ruined.
Unable to not laugh at conor being a dork and relieved he didn't force you to try one of his shirts on, you agreed. "Thank you." you said, handing him your shirt through the crack in the door.
He went downstairs and started scrubbing the shirt in the sink. "What are you doing?" josh asked, seeing Conor in the kitchen when he came out of the bathroom.
"Scrubbing y/n's shirt. I fucked up and I'm trying to make it up to her." Conor said, focused on getting all of the Marmite out.
"How did you fuck up?" Josh asked, confused.
"She doesn't have another shirt with her so I told her to just take one of mine, but she kept saying she was fine and I just had to keep insisting not even thinking about it." Conor replied, adding more soap to the water.
"Thinking about what?" Josh asked, still not getting it.
"She finally just stopped me and told me she wouldn't fit in my shirts so I'm trying to clean hers. I wasn't even thinking about it, but I know I made her uncomfortable." Conor said, realizing the Marmite wasn't coming out of the shirt. "This is hopeless"
"Hey, don't worry about it. Put it in the washer and I'll bring her something she can wear." Josh replied, starting to walk to his room.
"Josh, she's going to kill me if I let you go try to convince her to wear something else again. She'll kill me for telling you it ever happened!" Conor started to worry.
"Really, I've got this. Just throw that in the washer with spot cleaner." Josh finished getting dressed and then grabbed his favorite white v-neck t-shirt, heading upstairs.
He could hear the blow dryer running in the bathroom, so he sat on Conor's bed until you were finished. Hearing the dryer turn off, he walked to the door and knocked. "Y/n?" Josh called.
"Yeah?" you responded, putting everything back on except your shirt.
"Can I come in?" He asked.
"Um....hold on." you grabbed the towel and held it to your chest, covering your stomach and bra. "Yeah, come in." you answered nervously.
"Hey!" he smiled. "Your t-shirt is in the wash so I grabbed one of mine so you weren't walking around in a towel."
"I'm going to kill Conor." was all you said, closing your eyes trying to calm down. The last thing you needed to do was have a full blown panic attack in front of the boy you actually liked.
Josh put his hand on your shoulder. "I made him tell me. He was down there trying his best to clean your shirt and I knew that mine would work just fine."
Looking up at him, trying to keep the water in your eyes from spilling into tears, you didn't know what to say. Do you wait in the bathroom for your shirt to finish being in the wash? Do you risk putting his shirt on and looking like a stuffed sausage?
"I know that you think that it won't fit or that you'll look horrible in it, but you're wrong. first, I know for a fact my shirt will fit you just fine. Second..." He paused blushing a bit. "Second, you look beautiful in everything you wear. Okay? I'm going to turn around and shut my eyes and you're going to put this on." Josh said, running his thumb under your eye to clear away a few stray tears before handing you his shirt.
'Did he just say what I think he said?' you thought to yourself, realizing you were just standing there instead of changing. Dropping the towel, you pulled the shirt over your head and turned to the mirror.
"Can I turn around?" Josh asked, looking adorable with his hands covering his eyes.
Laughing, you responded. "Yeah, you're good."
"See! I told you it would fit. It looks better on you than it does on me." Josh teased.
"Yeah, yeah. You were right." you felt relief flood your body. "I just get a lot of grief for being a big girl. Especially a big girl on you-tube. I avoid anything that would make it awkward for me or anyone else." you responded, looking at your feet.
"Y/n, there is nothing wrong with being a big girl." Josh replied, pulling your chin up so you were looking at him. "Now lets go watch a movie or something. I know Jack wants to order Chinese."
"Thank you, Josh. Really." you felt him pull you into a hug.
Grabbing your hand, Josh led you down the stairs to the living room. Pulling you down onto the couch next to him, he put his arm around your shoulders and you kind of snuggled into his side.
You noticed Jack walk into the living room with his vlogging camera out. Thinking Josh wouldn't want you two to look couple-y in the vlog, you went to sit up straight, but your efforts were met with Josh pulling you back into his side.
"Look at these two cuties." Jack spoke to the camera, panning over to you two.
Conor complained "Hey! I'm cute too!" throwing himself across your laps. Everyone laughed.
"By the way, Josh. You're never allowed to wear that t-shirt anymore. Once the world has seen it on those boobs, you'll never be able to make it look as good." Jack teased, having no clue that there was any drama behind you wearing it.
"I have to agree," Josh said, looking at you and trying not to blush.
"I don't know, I thought you looked quite handsome in it." you replied.
Your cute moment was interrupted by Conor yelling "I ship it!" at you and Josh. "And by that, I mean I ship Y/n and that t-shirt." he joked.
After everyone had eaten, Jack came up with the brilliant idea to film another video. "We should play 'Never Have I Ever'" he yelled. "We never have any girls in those videos!" Popping up to grab his camera.
"As long as there's no Marmite involved, I'm in." you responded, very happy with how your day turned out.

the girl with fire in her eyes - j.w
a/n: okay, i am sorry that this is so long but i really wanted to explore the characters and the story and i love them. okay. i love this story so much and i hope you guys do, too. also, this isn’t edited that well
synopsis: requested jeff always had a soft spot for a girl back home and it was never their time, until it was.
word count: 8134
Jeff wasn’t always a bad kid, in fact, he was once a sweet boy that had a tendency of being just a little too reckless sometimes. He would come home with scraped knees from falling off his bike and scratches on his face from twigs that stuck out of the tree he had been climbing. He was a young boy, just looking for adventure and a thrill but nothing was more thrilling to a young Jeff Wittek than an even younger Ava Wilson, who sat on her front porch journaling as she swung on her porch swing.
He would spend his summers watching her. Keeping a close eye on her whenever he could so that the other neighborhood kids wouldn’t pick on her, not like they really tried. She had a fire in her, a fire that raged and sometimes, you could see it in her eyes when she looked at you. You could feel it when she spoke to you, her words filled with sass and vigor. The other kids never dared to bother her, not after Korey Windenburg tried to tease her for the butterfly berets her mom had put in her hair and she kicked him in the shin.
The summer before the sixth grade, Ava’s parents bought her first bike. She had spent all the summers before that watching the other kids ride and feeling a green pit in her stomach. She had begged and begged them for a bike of her own so that she could feel that same freedom that everyone else had been feeling for years and that summer, she finally did.
She had a sweet taste of freedom right before she got a sour taste of the cement and her knee colliding as she fell over. She unclipped her helmet and tossed it on the ground with rage, the sound it made hitting the pavement catching the attention of all the other kids playing in the road. Jeff was the only kid that came up to her. He walked his own bike, not bothering to use the kickstand but instead, he just let it fall on the grass and he offered his hand to help her up. “Thanks,” she mumbled, accepting his hand and standing up.
“Do you know how to ride?” He asked, glancing down at her bike and then at her scraped knee and then at her face that was still red with anger. His question was innocent but Ava’s it was like adding salt to a fire.
“Yeah, I know how to ride,” she snapped. She smoothed out her clothes from the fall and picked up her helmet and then her bike, getting ready to jump back on like nothing had even happened. “I just hit a rock in the sidewalk.”
“You wanna ride with me?” Jeff asked, catching Ava off guard and she hesitated before answering him with a head nod. Jeff wasn’t dumb. He knew that she had never ridden a bike before because he had been watching her ever since she moved into the house next to his. If not for that, it was painfully obvious that she couldn’t ride because she was wobbly and unstable and there was also the sheer look of panic in her eyes every time she had to round a corner.
Jeff kept an eye on her though, as always, making sure she knew of any bumps in the path and he didn’t ride too fast so she could keep up with him and always told her when he was going to stop and he walked his bike across the street instead of riding so that she didn’t have to struggle to stop and start again. By the end of the ride, she had gotten the hang of it and no longer needed his help but the next day he still asked her to ride with him again.
It had quickly become a routine of theirs. Every morning Jeff would go to her house and wait for her. It was like clockwork, the two of them. Every morning she’d walk her bike out from the backyard to where Jeff was sitting on the stoop waiting for her and they rode around the neighborhood for hours until they were both exhausted and then Jeff would spend the rest of his afternoon with the other kids, climbing trees and playing football and Ava would sit on her porch and watch silently. Every night, he’d come back to her porch and tell her goodnight until the routine continued the next day.
When fall hit and school started, the two had parted ways but only during the hours of 7am and 3pm, when school was in session and Jeff started turning into the bad boy that everyone envied and Ava remained the quiet girl that people were too afraid to approach but they each had their respective places and neither of them minded and the other wasn’t there all the time. They’d smile and wave in the halls and when Jeff would pass her when she was at her locker, he’d whisper in her ear that he missed her. She’d throw him a look of annoyance and disgust and he’d wink.
After school, they’d sit on Ava’s porch swing and do their homework which mostly consisted of Jeff copying her papers but she didn’t mind because she thought it was cute how he’d lean into her slightly to see a little better and when she’d glance at him, he quickly moved away and cleared his throat. She liked that he sat so close to her and he liked that she’d scoot her paper a little closer to him.
Jeff would go back home for dinner and Ava would sit with her own parents and pick at her vegetables that she hated but every night before bed, Jeff would throw a rock at her bedroom window and she’d go to it, open the curtains and there he stood, smiling like an idiot. When she opened the window, he’d lean in, whisper goodnight and then sneak back to his own house.
Despite middle school being the years that defined them, the years that made them the team that they were, Jeff slowly descended into complete and utter chaos. It started with fights out in front of the school and staying out too late without telling his parents where he was going and by the time he hit high school, Jeff was smoking a lot of weed and selling even more of it. It had went from little kid fights in front of the school to keeping weapons in his leather jacket and instead of staying out too late just fucking around, he was staying out too late smoking cigarettes and stealing from the corner stores.
That type of behavior wasn’t unusual for Staten Island but it was unusual for Jeff and it seemed as if he had picked out the worst of the worst and those had become his friends. Every night he’d still come to Ava’s window and sometimes he’d even sneak in and lay on her bed with her with their hands folded over their stomachs and she’d tell him about the stuff going on in her life and he’d tell her how his parents were fighting again or how he was failing math class and he was still her Jeff but that didn’t change the fact that when he left, he was going to sell drugs when he told her he was going to bed.
When they were 15, right when Jeff was getting really bad, Ava looked out her living room window to see Jeff sneaking into his mom’s car. Ava’s own mother followed her gaze as she cleaned around the house and the two of them watched as Jeff pulled out of the driveway with his mother’s car, fear of getting caught all over his face. Ava’s mom let out a sigh of disappointment as she went to the phone to call Mrs. Wittek. “Wait, mama,” Ava called for her, jumping off the couch and putting her hand on her mom’s arm to stop her from dialing their phone number. “Don’t call her, please.”
“Why shouldn't I? That boy is 15 years old, he can’t be driving,” Ava’s mom told her, crossing her arms over her chest. She had been noticing the behavior, too. The sneaking out of his house really late at night and coming home just before the sun came up. That and her and Mrs. Wittek talked a lot. Their favorite topic of conversation since the pair became a freshman in high school was that Jeff was going off the rails and Ava was only moments from following in his footsteps but Ava knew better than that. She had that fire in her chest, that determination in her soul that told her she was better than that.
“He’ll just get in more trouble, please ma,” Ava begged, her hands folded in prayer but her mom shook her head. That was the problem with Ava. Her undying devotion to Jeff Wittek. He had literally picked her up off the ground so how could she let him fall without even trying?
“When are you gonna get it through your brain that that boy is no good? He’s gonna get nowhere, Ava. And he’ll drag you down with him if you let him.” Ava’s heart ached at her mom’s words, fearing that they were true but Ava knew deep down that that wasn’t Jeff. When he was in her room, he wasn’t a drug-dealing thug and when he was smoothing the hair out of her face he wasn’t a petty theft. He was Jeff.
He still leaned against the lockers next to hers, pinched her side and gave her that smile that would win her over time and time again. “What do you want, Wittek?” She’d ask, giving him a look of affection that would win him over time and time again.
“Just came to see my favorite girl,” he teased. They were the talk of the school. More specifically, Jeff was the talk of the school. He wasn’t there a lot, but when he was, his attachment to Ava and vice verse was undeniable.
Girls gawked when they walked down the halls together because he was Jeff Wittek and he had been arrested and there was so much gossip circulating about him that the only person who truly knew him was Ava. And she loved him.
She would do anything for him. She let him copy her homework and she’d give him the synopsis of all the books they were forced to read so that he wouldn’t have to read them himself and she quite literally carried him on her back his entire high school career.
She was the one to pick him up when he was wasted at a party and she was the one to pick him up from the police station and she had more encounters with the police before the age of 18 than most people probably had in their entire life but it was all for Jeff Wittek and when they graduated high school and he left for Miami, the fire that once raged inside her got put out.
Ava cried and she cried and she cried the day that Jeff left. She cried for fear that he’d never come back to her, she cried for fear that he’d never turn his life around without her there because the truth is, without her he wouldn’t have graduated high school and without her he’d have been in jail a long time ago but he called her every night still, even from so many miles away. Without fail, the same time: there he was, waiting for her to pick up the phone.
Their late night rendezvous in her bedroom turned into late night phone calls and skype calls. It was hard to miss him when they were in constant contact but she still ached to feel his hand on hers and his breathing down her neck. It wasn’t the same coming from her boyfriend. His hands weren’t as bony as Jeff’s and his voice didn’t hit her heart in the same way but he was there and Jeff wasn’t so there wasn’t anything she could do. She spent the next three years trying to replace Jeff with the boy who took her to prom and held her hair back as she vomited in the hotel room after the after party but three years was a long time to pretend you didn’t love somebody even if you hadn’t seen them.
The day Jeff called her from jail was almost earth-shattering. She could tell he had been crying a little bit just by his voice and the way it had cracked when he said her name. “Please come to Miami,” he begged. “I got in serious trouble, A.”
He was in serious trouble and Ava’s heart was broken seeing him locked away. He held his hand up to the glass like they do in the movies when he saw her for the first time in three years and she put her hand up to his and when he said her name again through the muffled jail phone, she couldn’t help but cry. “Don’t cry, Av.” Jeff wanted to wrap his arms around her so badly. To smooth her hair out like he had done so many times before. To kiss the top of her head. To comfort her.
“How long are you gonna be in here?” She asked. She had spent the last week since he was arrested avoiding all the newspaper articles about it, avoided listening to her mom talk about it to her friends over the phone. She didn’t want to hear about it, she didn’t really want to know what he had done but he told her anyway. He told her every last detail down to the fact that his bail was almost $60,000.
“I might be in here for a while,” he admitted. His eye contact was unwavering. Begging her to look up at him, look into his eyes but she couldn’t. She stared at his hand that was still lazily pushed up against the glass. Their fingertips so close but so far away. It seemed that he was always just an inch away from her.
Ava was about to open her mouth to speak when a guard called Jeff’s name and that was time’s up for the duo. They were taking him away but Ava wasn’t done with him yet. She called his name, begged them to let him stay but the guards grabbed his arms and lifted him out of the chair and he mouthed and I love you to her as he was dragged out of the room, leaving Ava to slump back into her chair, sobbing.
She tried like hell to get him out. She scraped together every penny in her savings account and begged her friends to help her with fundraisers. Ava even sold her car but it wasn’t enough. She didn’t have enough. “Please, just take it. This is all that I have,” she said to Mrs. Wittek. She looked distraught and tired but it had been years since Jeff had come home and she was tired of his antics.
“I’m not taking that, baby girl,” she said, shaking her head.
Ava shoved the money closer to Jeff’s mom. “I need someone to take it. Put it towards his lawyer or something, please. Take it to help him,” she begged. Mrs. Wittek sighed and looked at Ava with pity and sorrow. She took the money and hugged the girl who started crying once again. For months, all she could do was cry and worry about Jeff. Helping him was all consuming for Ava, now more than ever. The job that she had worked so hard to get was falling apart around her because she was less focused on that and more focused on Jeff.
It was only a month later when Jeff called her again. She was sitting in her apartment with The Replacement when her phone rang and she answered it without hesitation. “I’m out. They let me out, Ava.” Ava let out a sigh of relief and she started crying again. She was exhausted and stressed but those four words seemed to have lifted the world off her shoulders. If Jeff saw her now, saw how her eyes were sunken into her head leaving dark circles around them. If he saw how The Replacement had his arms around her shoulder and the fake sense of happiness radiating off of her, he’d shake her until whatever screws in her brain that got loose fixed themselves because that was not my Ava.
“You’re coming home?” She asked, hopeful that now was the time. That maybe he’d come home for her and that he was done with all the bullshit and could finally be the man that he was meant to be but he told no, that he was moving out to Los Angeles. “Well, when can I see you?”
“Av, I haven't got any money. I’ve got just enough to settle down but I’m gonna start cutting hair again, remember? Like I did back in high school in the basement,” Jeff laughed at the memory of his friends sitting in a chair and Jeff butchering their hairline. Ava, sitting on the couch off to the side with her helpless commentary.
“And then what?” She asked. There was no lack of relief and hope in his voice which, quite frankly, shocked Ava. She thought that he would be upset, angry, want to come home but he was excited and ready to turn his life around and that was a good thing but all Ava could think was please fucking come home.
“And, I’m not sure. I’ll figure it out but listen, I’m so excited and once I have enough money maybe I’ll come home. Or maybe you can come to visit me, wouldn’t that be fuckin’ sick? Anyway, I gotta go now but I love you, alright? Give what’s his face my hellos from the free world!” Jeff exclaimed. Ava mumbled her goodbyes and hung up the phone, feeling weird.
He didn’t know. Jeff didn’t know that she had poured her heart and soul into getting him out. He didn’t know that she was poor, living off of The Replacement’s bi-weekly paychecks and frozen dinner meals. He had no clue and Ava intended to keep it that way.
Now that he was a free man again, Ava and Jeff were back to their nightly phone calls and at first, when Jeff told Ava he was pursuing the entertainment business, Ava thought that it was completely useless. She had little room to talk, though, because she wasn’t making any money at her dead-end job in Staten Island. Hell, at least he made it out of this shitty town but she was supportive regardless because he was Jeff again.
There were no more drugs and weapons and he was poor but at least he was safe. He’d tell Ava about the gigs he was getting and the money he was making and although, at first, it wasn’t a lot, it was something and Jeff was proud and the happiness in his voice made Ava happy and he’d beg her to come move to LA with him and live the dream like he is but she couldn’t afford it because she had given all her money away but Jeff didn’t know that.
Jeff didn’t know that she had no savings and hardly any income and he didn’t know that her mom was now falling ill, nearly bed ridden and alone and she was living back at home to take care of her but Ava could burn through all of those things easily but she couldn’t burn down his happiness. “I really can’t come to LA with you, Jeff,” Ava laughed with her phone tucked between her ear and her shoulder.
“Please, pretty please. The views are beautiful and I want to share them with you!” He begged, his enthusiasm making her laugh more. As she buttered the bread for her mom’s sandwich, Ava couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to live in LA with Jeff. How different her life would be and then she started to feel sorry for herself, pity herself for the way her life was turning out. The words her mother used to say to her, he’ll drag you down with him, rang in her ears and maybe it was never Jeff’s fault. Maybe it was her.
“Work is so busy right now, I just can’t make it,” she lied to him. Her work wasn’t busy. “In fact, I’m working right now so I’ll call you later,” she told him and they mumbled goodbyes and hung up. She put her phone and continued making her mom a sandwich. Their conversations sounded a lot like that for nearly a year. Him begging her to come to him and her making up reasons why she couldn’t. She had no excuse for lying to him about her mom. It started off innocently, keeping it hidden so that his sun wasn’t blocked but now, years later, it seemed like a secret that she was guarding. Like it was too late to tell him.
Ava felt her fire dwindling. She felt it weakening as the months dragged by. Her eyes not shining as bright when she looked at the mirror, her voice not as sharp and witty as it used to be and her hands, idle. She was tired and she bored and she cut off all of her hair, quit her job and started writing more, putting her idle hands to good use. Channeling her energy into something that she had loved and then lost: writing. Slowly but surely it was coming back. The fire. It was coming back but then along came Cierra.
Cierra. Beautiful, talented, sweet, funny and she was perfect. She was perfect for Jeff and she helped build his career, more so than Ava could ever do from so far away and when Cierra came, so did the fame and the money and he was no longer the ex-con barber from Staten Island, he was Jeff Wittek.
Ava watched all the films he was in, listening to his commentary over the phone as she did. Asking her if she liked this part or that, begging to know what her favorite scene was and then giving her every detail about how they filmed it. He was proud, which made Ava proud, so she let it be. She let Jeff and Cierra be happy and it was just like Ava to defend Jeff until her dying breath and if she had to die without him, then so be it.
She called The Replacement to fill the void of Jeff. To numb the pain of him being with another girl but as she laid next to her high school sweetheart, she thought of Jeff’s voice. The way he laughed. The way his breath trickled down her neck. She imagined how he’d sneak into her house now. Would he use the front door now that they were adults or would he sneak through the window still because her mom still lived there? Those were the things that kept her up at night. The things that fueled the flames.
She spent another three years pretending she loved The Replacement instead of Jeff and for those three years, just like the first three, it was useless.
Those few years were the hardest few years of Ava’s life. There were too many lies, too much distance, and too much Cierra. The Replacement could never fully replace Jeff. He was a warm body that she could picture in her mind was actually Jeff and he was a quick fuck when she needed it but he never had her heart and he’d never come close to it but Jeff was in love with Cierra and not with Ava.
She was nearly thirty years old still living with her sick mother and fucking the same kid from high school and that’s what happens when you don’t leave your hometown but Jeff still called her every night and he boasted about his life and he’d ask her about her own and she’d lie and tell him that she was doing fabulous and couldn’t wait to see him and then he’d ask her to visit him again and she’d turn him down again.
“How are you and Cierra?” Ava asked him one night on the phone. She was lying in her bed, looking up at the ceiling just like the two of them had none a million times before in that exact bed and she pictured Jeff doing the same thing in his own, minus the Cierra part.
“We’re uh, not so good, actually,” he admitted. His voice sounded cold and distant. Muffled even, like he was shuffling some things around.
“Oh?” Ava asked, sitting up in her bed. She pushed the phone closer to her ear to hear his breathing and Jeff cleared his throat.
“How are you and uh, what’s his name?” He asked after a beat of silence. Avoidance was his tactic of choice when he didn’t want to talk about things. Jeff changed the subject while Ava just hoped and prayed that the topic never got brought up in the first place.
“We broke up. Again,” she told him. It was just under a month ago when his loud chewing got too much for Ava to handle. She slammed her hands on the table and demanded that he left. The Replacement looked at her, confused and shocked but he took his plate of food and left. “And how do you not know his name?”
“He was never going to last, we all knew that,” Jeff muttered.
Ava sighed, knowing he was right but wondering if he knew the real reasoning behind it. “What’s going on with Cierra,” she tried again.
“We broke up, too.”
After his break-up, Jeff was heartbroken, to say the least. He never told Ava why just that sometimes things don’t work out but Ava was always there to pick up the pieces. She answered the phone in the middle of the night when he called and she gave him gross, lovey-dovey advice that she’d never take herself but sometimes it made Jeff feel a little bit better.
When he didn’t want to talk about Cierra, he’d tell her about Todd and how he had introduced him to his group of friends that had almost completely changed his life. Sure he was heartbroken but when he talked about Todd and his friends, his voice got a little bit brighter and he seemed like himself again.
Without Cierra, Jeff’s career seemed to be skyrocketing. The fame, the fortune, everything that he wanted was now coming true and Ava lived vicariously through him. She loved to lay down in her bed and listen to his stories and forget about her sick mom for a minute. “When can I fly you out here?” Jeff asked her, again. “I’ve got money now and now that you and whatever his name is are broken up and I’m not busy with Cierra, you can come out and we can hang out.”
“It’s not really a good time, Jeff,” Ava said.
“You say that every time I ask,” Jeff laughed at her and Ava smiled to herself. “It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve seen you in person, you realize that right? The last time I saw you, I was locked in a jail cell and you keep making up reasons not to come to see me.”
“Why can’t you come home?” Ava asked him. The question always was why would Ava come to Los Angeles but it was never why won’t Jeff come home, although, they all knew the answer to that. “I’ve got a real-life job, Jeff. I don’t cut people’s hair and put it on the internet and post shirtless pics once a week and get a paycheck. I can’t just leave,” she told him.
“Ava, I gotta see you.” Jeff’s voice was low and husky and it was almost pleading with her. A sincere kind of pleading where if he went any softer, he’d be inaudible.
“I’ll work on it,” she promised.
Ava tried. She tried to figure it out, save as much money as he could but that didn’t change the fact that she couldn’t leave her mom.
She was so sick and helpless, sometimes Ava felt bad for even leaving the house for an hour without someone coming to check up on her.
Ava tried to enlist some of her friends, neighbors, some of her old mom’s friends to stay with her for even just a few days but no one wanted the full-time commitment that was taking care of someone that was on their deathbed. She just couldn’t make it work and as close as Jeff felt, he had never felt further away.
“Is that a knock on the door I hear?” Ava’s mom said, her voice just barely over a whisper. She was hard to hear these days, her hands were shaking so badly that she couldn’t drink without a straw.
“No, mama, you’re just going crazy,” Ava said, a small smile on her face as she smoothed out her mom’s bed sheets.
“No, I am not,” her mom scolded and then there was a knock on the door. It was quiet but it was there. “Told you,” she sassed her daughter who narrowed her eyes at her mom before walking out of the bedroom and into the living room. The lights were off so Ava turned on a lamp before swinging the front door open.
There he was. She couldn’t really process it at first. The fact that he was standing right in front of her, at her house, in Staten Island. “What- what are you doing here?” Ava stuttered, looking around Jeff for a hidden camera, someone to jump out and say it was a prank or that he was fake. A figment of her imagination. She was so far in her head about seeing him again, she was hallucinating.
“Are you gonna stand there or fuckin’ hug me?” Jeff asked, holding his arms around and Ava was wrapped in them in a matter of seconds. The hands that she had imagined for so long were touching her again, the breath that she craved to feel was on her neck again and his voice was whispering in her ear again. “You look so beautiful,” he mumbled in her hair.
“What are you doing here?” Ava asked when he pulled away from her. Jeff’s hands went to her hands, where he held them tight and spun her around to go into her house.
“Me and Todd came to surprise my parents,” he told her, nodding behind him where Todd was following him inside of the house. He and Ava exchanged their pleasantries and the boys settled in in the kitchen as Jeff and Ava spat back and forth like it was just yesterday they had been together. “Where’s your ma?”
Ava cleared her throat and closed the fridge that she was rummaging around in and turned her back to Jeff. “She’s just, uh, in bed. It’s super late and she’s sleeping,” Ava told him. It wasn’t really a lie but her stutter and lack of eye contact was a dead giveaway that she was a liar.
“Then what are you still doing here?” Jeff laughed. When Ava had first moved out, she couldn’t stop boasting about how free she felt, how alive she felt and Jeff couldn’t help but find it suspicious that she’d be willing to spend any more time here than needed.
“Good thing I am, huh?” Ava smiled, pulling out the chair next to Jeff and sitting down. She put her hand on top of his and he tangled his fingers with hers, a habit that took its natural form even 10 years later.
Jeff took inventory of the house. All the dishes in the sink, more than enough for two. The throw blanket that Ava used to wrap her body in when she was cold. Jeff recognized it from their countless facetime calls and he never realized that the wallpaper that was always behind her was the same one plastered in her living room.
He saw all her pairs of shoes lined up against the wall and her coats hanging next to the door and he leaned in closer to her and lowered his voice. “Are you livin’ here?”
Ava batted her eyes and looked over to Todd, who held his hands up in defense and pushed himself out of the chair and excused himself to the bathroom. Now that they were alone, Jeff squeezed her hand. “What’s going on? Why didn’t you tell me you had moved back home?”
“It’s not that big of a deal, really,” Ava told him. With his hand around hers and his face so close to hers, she was seconds away from breaking down and crying and telling him everything and all it took was for him to smooth the hair out of her face for that to happen.
“Why didn’t you tell me any of that?” Jeff asked after she finished her rant about her mom. The entire time she spoke, Jeff wiped the tears off her cheek as they fell and she squeezed her hand when she got choked up and he pulled her into a hug before she could answer.
“I didn’t want to bring you down. All this drama here, it’s what ruined you in the first place,” Ava told him. Jeff’s heart broke at the sight of his girl so broken. Hatred for himself flickered through his heart at the fact that he had left her for so long and he was so oblivious but all he could do was kiss her cheek and tell her that he loved her.
“You’re not gonna bring me down, we are a team,” he told her. Certainty in his voice. Jeff’s mind flashed to only a few hours ago when he sat at his own kitchen table with his mom. She was going on about Cierra and Todd’s ex-girlfriend and she said that relationships were teamwork and instead of being sad about Cierra, he was consumed with Ava.
Hearing his mom talk about what a relationship should be: a team, a partnership, growth and building each other up. That wasn’t what he had with Cierra and in that moment, he realized that. It was never Cierra, it was always Ava.
His trip was short and sweet and in what little time they got together, they spent it completely consumed with each other. The time he wasn’t spending with his parents,  they were with each other. They went back to the park that they grew up playing at and Jeff tried to ride the bike that he was too big for and they laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling and she fell in love with him all over again. It was like all the feelings that she had suppressed over the years, came flooding back.
When he went back to L.A, it was like Ava’s home was empty again. It was just her and her mom, their routine as boring as mundane as it always was without Jeff’s dry sense of humor and the way he just made Ava feel better no matter what. When looking at her mom got too much to bear, Jeff would wrap her in his arms and rub her back and he wouldn’t even have to say a word for to her feel better but now all she had was her blanket.
It was 5am when her phone began to ring next to her bed. Her first thought when she woke up was that it was Jeff and he was back in jail and her life was going to crash down again but when she heard birds chirping on the other line, she let herself relax. “It’s 5am, what do you want?”
“Were you asleep?” Jeff asked innocently. Ava’s voice was husky and low from her sleep and she had to rub her eyes to wake up a little bit. “I’m calling from outside the prison. I’m picking up Cody,” Jeff told her. Cody. He was Jeff’s best friend and had gotten in just as much as Jeff had in the past but he got caught a lot worse than Jeff did.
“Today’s the day?” Ava asked.
“Today is the day,” Jeff confirmed. He was sitting outside on a curb while David and Jason hung by the car, talking amongst themselves and they were just waiting. Ava was sitting in her dark bedroom, her lap illuminating her side table with a photo of her and Jeff in high school sitting on top of it. “I’m kind of nervous, ya know.”
“For what? Cody’s your best friend. You should be over the moon,” Ava reminded him. Jeff chuckled and his laugh was muffled but Ava felt like it was happening right there in her bedroom. With the lights off, she could almost see him sitting with her.
“You’re my best friend,” he corrected. Heat rose to Ava’s cheeks. “And anyway, I am excited I just am kinda nervous I’m gonna go back to my old ways, ya know. Bein’ here with David and all the guys, I feel good. I feel like I’m better but what if bein’ around him makes me not wanna be better anymore?” It sounded like Jeff was whispering and Ava could hear the worry in his voice and all she wanted to do was put her hand on his cheek.
“You are better, Jeff,” Ava reminded him. “Seeing Cody again isn’t gonna change that.”
“Promise?” He asked. Ava laughed a little under her breath but she told him that she promised.
“And if it does change that, I’ll kill you,” she said, half-teasing and half not.
“Good to know,” he said and they hung up the phone a few moments later and Jeff texted her letting her know that Cody was out and he was good and Jeff was good and Ava told him: I told you so.
Now that Cody was a free man, it was Jeff’s mission to get the three of them back together in L.A and with the money Ava had saved from the last time she told she would try, she could more than afford it but then there was the issue of her mom again.
Jeff offered up every solution in the book from his parents staying over to care for her to sending her to a hospital for the week, all which Ava said no to. She couldn’t justify putting anyone out for her to have fun in L.A but then Jeff offered to pay for a professional to stay at her house and even that put a pit in Ava’s stomach.
“I’ll be fine, baby girl. Go to California and see him,” her mom told her one day as Ava ran the idea by her. She told her mostly as a joke, as a can you believe he had that idea? Like we can afford that, conversation. “Besides, if he’s offering to pay how can you say no? Your boy is rich now.” Her mom winked at her and Ava flushes at the words your boy.
“I can’t let him pay for that, ma. It’s way too expensive. You require a lot of work these days,” Ava joked. Her mom tried to laugh but she ended up just choking on her spit so Ava helped her sit up and held a straw to her mouth so she could drink some water and she tried to picture anyone else doing it and she couldn’t.
“A professional can handle it,” her mom told her once her coughing fit was over with and she could breathe again. “Tell him yes. And go to L.A and get your man once and for all.”
“He’s not my man,” Ava told her, shaking her head and cleaning up the mess from her mom’s  lunch. Anything to keep her busy and distract from the conversation and her mother’s eyes.
“Oh please. I have seen it from day one. When he picked you up off that cement. You two are made for each other, you’re just too dumb to see it,” her mother scolded, shaking her finger at Ava.
“Then how come we spent the greater part of my life arguing about him? Huh?” Ava asked, suddenly feeling defensive. She had shoved whatever feelings she had for Jeff in a tiny box a lot time ago because of her mother and her friends and now that she’s telling her to go and open that box, Ava was angry.
“Because he was a hooligan. He wasn’t a good kid, Ava and I wasn’t goin’ to let you go down that path but he’s got his shit together now,” her mother told her. She closed her eyes and shuffled in her bed and shook her head. “Just go, okay? I’ve kept you in this shitty town long enough.”
Ava’s mom was right. She had been stuck in that town for too long, so she gave Jeff the contact information for the best home nurse in the area and he set them up to stay with her mom for a week while Ava traveled to California.
She had never been on a plane before and the entire time her hands sweat from the nerves but when she landed and saw Jeff waiting for her, any nerves she had gone away. Nerves about the plane, gone. Nerves she had about her mom being without her, gone. Nerves about meeting Jeff’s new friends, gone. He had completely soothed her entire mind like he always did.
The whole week he could tell when she’d start to get anxious. She’d be up really late in his bed, twiddling her thumbs under the covers and he’d wake up and ask her what’s wrong. “Just thinking about my ma,” she told him.
“You talked to her only a couple hours ago,” he reminded her, his voice filled with sleep. He threw his arm over Ava’s body and pulled her into his chest.
“I know, but still,” she said. Jeff kissed her shoulder, mumbled for her to go to sleep and held her until she actually did.
That’s what her trip mostly consisted of: laying in Jeff’s bed and watching movies and talking. He took her out for a few hours a day to show her his hiking trail that she begged him to take her on and he took her to The Grove because the novelty of it was not lost on Ava but when they’d come back to Jeff’s apartment, they’d get comfy on the couch and turn on a movie and not move until they had to.
It was a lot different being with Jeff in person than talking over facetime or over the phone. Ava could feel his breath, his hands, his love. Jeff’s visit home was dedicated to his parents but Ava’s visit to L.A was dedicated to Jeff and they took full advantage of that.
Ava took her box off the shelf and she opened it while she was there. She didn’t even have to think about it, it just happened. Laying in bed with him when she couldn’t sleep, watching him snoring next to her. Watching his expression as he watched movies and seeing him interact with his friends.
It happened for Jeff, too. It hit him like a ton of bricks that she was the one. Being with Cierra was like a flame in his heart but being with Ava was like an explosion in his chest and he didn’t realize how strong it was until she was in his bed, at his home. She fit so easily in L.A like there was never any question about whether or not she belonged there.
When it came time for her to leave, the day was somber and filled with sad looks exchanged between the two and quiet whispers about how much they’d miss each other and as she packed, Jeff sat in his bed and watched her. “Are you  sure you’ve gotta leave?” He asked.
“Yes,” she told him, giving him a sad smile as she zipped up her suitcase. “I gotta get home to my ma,” she said.
“I know. I’ll miss you,” he said. Ava sat down on the bed next to him. Jeff took her hand and put it in his lap, playing with her fingers. “Promise me that we’ll visit more often?”
“I promise,” she said. Jeff didn’t look at her, he kept his eyes trained on their hands together but she took her free hand and lifted his head. “I promise.”
The drive to the airport was quiet and sad and they didn’t talk much the entire walk to her terminal. Jeff walked her as far as he could go, holding her hand the entire time. He pulled her into a hug, holding her as close to his chest as he could and she wrapped her arms around him and buried her head in his chest. She listened to his heart beating in his chest and wondered if it was beating for her.
Jeff rubbed her back and he whispered into her ear, “I’ll see you soon. So soon, okay?” Ava nodded and tried to hold back her tears but it was almost nearly impossible and when Jeff pulled away, he cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears. “It’ll be okay.”
“I know,” she said and nodded. Jeff’s thumbs rubbed her cheeks and whatever tears were falling down and his fingers tangled in her hair and he kissed the top of her nose. “I should go.”
Jeff nodded and he pried himself away from her and she adjusted her bags and started towards her terminal. She walked quickly and didn’t look back at Jeff. She was scared that if she looked back, she wouldn’t get on her plane and she needed to go back home. She couldn’t stay, could she?
She was lost in her mind, worrying about her mom and excited to see her but terrified of leaving Jeff and she could have sworn that she heard his voice clear as day in her mind. Her name repeated over and over again, getting clearer every time. She turned around and it wasn’t in her head, it was real and it was Jeff calling after her.
He was breathless and his face was red, a security guard holding him back. Ava could see the guard saying something to Jeff but he wasn’t listening. He was trying to push the guard off of him and calling Ava’s name and when he saw her turn around, he smiled.
“What the hell?” She called back to him, laughing and throwing her hands up in the air. Jeff laughed back and Ava started shaking her head at him. Jeff was panting and red and hot but he didn’t look distressed, he looked hopeful.
“Stay. Move to L.A with me!” Jeff yelled back. Ava kept shaking her head and she started to try and convince herself that he was joking, that this was just a last minute attempt to make her stay longer but she wanted it to be real so bad, even if she couldn’t.
“What? I can't, you know that!” She yelled back. People were starting to stare and Jeff tried one more time to try and get past the guard but he wouldn’t let him get any further than he already was and Ava didn’t want to go back to him in case she missed her flight so they sat in the middle of the airport screaming at each other like fools.
“Please. I need you to stay here with me,” he said. Even from a distance, Ava could see the hope in his eyes and how they pleaded with her to stay but she couldn’t stop shaking her head.
“Why?” She asked. Her heart was pounding and so was his. It felt like the moment that their entire life was leading up to. The moment where all the years of suppressed feelings came to the surface but Ava couldn’t say yes, no matter what he said next. She couldn’t leave her mom and she couldn’t stay with him, no matter how badly she wanted to. She repeated in her head: it doesn’t matter what he says, it doesn’t matter what he says, it doesn’t matter what he says.
His eyes went soft and his voice got a little lower, relief in it and Ava knew she was fucked. “Because I’m in love with you!”

Him as a Father j.w
Tumblr media
Jeff Wittek x F!Reader
summary. what Jeff would be like as a father
genre. fluff
warnings. none that i can think of
word count. 476
an. this is so cute, i can definitely see him doing all of these things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- First and foremost it’s important to stress that family is by far the most important thing in Jeff's life, he’ll do absolutely anything to keep you all safe
- Jeff's big on educating your kids, making sure they know all about road safety and stranger danger so that he can try and worry about them less when they’re out and about
- Whenever your kids need him, he’s always there. Jeff's is a very affectionate dad, plenty of tickle attacks to keep them laughing
- Never misses an event at your kid’s school, if they get an award in assembly or parents evening, Jeff is always the proudest one in the bunch
- if Jeff ends up missing bedtime because he’s busy filming at the barbershop, he’ll tiptoe into your children’s rooms when they’re sleeping, with soft kisses being pressed to the tops of their heads to let them know that he is home
- And then he’ll make sure that he spends time with you too to apologise for leaving you to look after the kids all evening long by yourself
- When it comes to your kids, Jeff is a bit of a pushover, if they want to paint his nails or draw on him, he’ll usually let them, sometimes even filming or spending time with the guys while having hot pink nails
- Talking about his family for too long is a definite topic that will make Jeff blush, talking about you all is most definitely a weakness of his
- Every time he sees you guys, Jeff's stomach knots, he can’t quite believe just how lucky he is to have you all
- Your family also absolutely adores him, they love the fact that he’s so caring.
- You love seeing the looks the other moms give Jeff when he shows up to the playground, knowing that he’s all yours
- If he misses out on any family occasion, Jeff always makes up for it, returning home from filming usually with your kid’s favourite food to get them smiling again
- If you fall asleep in your kid’s room, Jeff will always carry you across so that you can sleep comfortably in your own bed and let him look after the kids
- This man loves learning from you, how to cook your kid’s favourite meals, their favourite outfit combos, so that he can do all of the jobs that you do when you’re not there
- He loves looking after them by himself too, giving you plenty of time to spend with your friends and family
- Jeff would definitely take your children adventuring, like taking them on walks up the mountain or down into the forest, showing them how beautiful the world can be
- No one is a prouder parent than he is, that’s the one thing that Jeff refuses to be beaten on
- You couldn’t believe quite how lucky you were either to be able to call such a loving man the father of your children
- Even though he loves being a dad, he never forgets about you either, making sure that at least one day a week is reserved for a date night between the two of you
- He often catches himself humming along to the theme tunes of the kid’s television programmes that he just can’t get out of his head
- If someone dares to say something about his family that Jeff doesn’t like, he won’t be afraid to put them in their place
- More than anything else, he loved being a dad, his children are his pride and joy in everything that he does <3

jeff wittek imagine where the reader and jeff go on vacation together like to vegas or miami???
Holiday
Summary: Throughout your mini holiday in Miami with your boyfriend Jeff, he realizes just how special you and your relationship are.
Word Count: 2.3k
Warning: Tooth rotting fluff, mention of alcoholism and Jeff’s accident
A/N This is also inspired by KSI’s song Holiday!
Tumblr media
I wanna wake up every mornin', feelin' better 'Cause I know you're sleeping by my side And every moment we're together I remember just to keep it all for you and I
Jeff’s brown eyes slowly open, being awoken by a crying baby that was a few rows behind you two. He lets out a yawn before looking over at you who were fast asleep on his shoulder.
Something that not a lot of people knew was that Jeff hated flying despite being a certified skydiver. Ever since he was younger he was never a fan of flying, only now he was a bit more comfortable with it due to his experience skydiving. Nevertheless his initial nerves after waking up quickly wash away just from being in your presence.
Wanting to capture this seemingly perfect moment, Jeff slowly grabs his phone out of his pocket without disturbing you and takes a quick picture. As he analyzes the picture his heart swells at how at peace and comfortable you looked sleeping on him and in one of his sweaters. The two of you were extremely tired from catching a red eye flight to Miami so no wonder why you both fell asleep.
Saving the picture Jeff puts his phone away and slowly opens the blind of your window seat. The rising sun shines into your row, the rays illuminating your face making your features and long lashes more prominent. The purpose of the trip to Miami was to watch the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather fight. In fact you were ecstatic when Jeff told you he got you guys tickets to the event since you grew up watching boxing with your family and you were a huge fan of Mayweather. With that being said you had no idea how close the tickets Jeff got were to the ring.
Jeff’s breath hitches as he admires you. He was so in love with you and was so excited to see your reaction to being ringside. As Jeff softly moves some stray hairs out of your face he realizes everything he does is for the benefit for not only you, but your relationship as well. It was you two against the world.
I see that body in the sunlight Feelin' the heat and it feels right I wanna do this for the rest of my life
“I know you guys are dating and all, but you seriously need to stop staring before you sink the boat with your drool.” Mike Maijlak says walking over to Jeff’s side and handing him a La Croix.
Jeff booked your mini holiday to last a few days before and after the fight which gave you guys the opportunity to explore Miami and let lose. With that being said neither of you were going to turn down Mike’s invite to join him on a yacht to party. So there you were talking and dancing with some girls you knew from LA while sipping on a La Croix.
Jeff lets out a laugh while opening one of his favourite drinks. “I can’t help it man, just look at her.” He says taking a sip of the bubbly liquid while continuing to admire you from afar.
The Miami sun that shined onto your skin paired with your infectious laugh, seemingly gave you a golden glow that made you standout. Not only that, but the bikini that you were wearing flattered your body type so well.
After feeling as if someone was staring at you for the past few minutes you finally turn and look around the boat to find the owner of the eyes that were on you. Quickly your eyes find Jeff’s brown ones and you realize it was just Jeff staring at you the whole time, causing heat to wash over your body at his gaze.
You shoot him a smirk and wink in return before turning back around to continue your conversation. A smirk of his own falls upon Jeff’s face as you do so, along with a light shade of pink on his cheeks.
“You’re so whipped.” Mike laughs shaking his head, finally speaking up after watching the whole interaction.
“Well I wanna be whipped for her for the rest of my life then.” Jeff says without realizing how big of a statement that was while his eyes remained on your beautiful figure.
Oh, I know, I know, you know the vibe I wanna stay with you every night You and me underneath the lights I'm always good when you're by my side I know, you know you're on my mind You really make me come alive I wanna be here for the rest of my life
“Jeff look at my hands I’m literally shaking I can’t believe we’re this close!” You exclaim while glancing between your boyfriend and the boxing ring in front of you.
“Only the best for you doll.” He says sending you a wink while laughing. For the past hour and a half as you two watched the undercards you continued to gush about your seats making Jeff happy to see you happy.
Without wasting another second you roughly grab Jeff by his green shirt and pull him in for a passionate kiss. Just before the brunette could immerse himself into it fully you pull away. Some of your lipstick was smudged and Jeff knew without a doubt he had some on his lips, but he didn’t care. In that moment it truly seemed as if you two were the only ones there under the rings bright lights and in an arena full of screaming fans while you two stared into each others eyes lovingly.
Your attention on your boyfriend is torn away when the already loud arena becomes even louder as Mayweather starts to walk out. Quickly you start to cheer for your favourite boxer while jumping up and down and clapping excitedly. Jeff glances between you and the boxing legend before his gaze finally lands on you.
You look over at your boyfriend with a smile that was from ear to ear. “It’s Floyd fucking Mayweather!” You exclaim pointing over to the undefeated boxer entering the ring.
A smile washes over Jeff’s face as he laughs at your excitement. You truly resembled a child in a toy store. Seeing your excitement only made Jeff more excited, causing him to join in on cheering for Mayweather despite being friends with Logan.
There was no one else Jeff would rather be with to witness the fight and this thought only made him realize he wants to be by your side for the rest of his life.
Looking for sun rays, needin' them good days Fly me away-away, you're my holiday Cool like the ocean, lost in emotion Fly me away-away, you're my holiday Whenever you're here it's a good time Strawberry shirts in the sunshine Ice-cold drinks 'til the moonlight You're my holiday Whenever you're here it's a good time Strawberry shirts in the sunshine Ice-cold drinks 'til the moonlight You're my holiday
The next few days after the fight was a whirlwind, but in a good way. Despite having a good time underneath the Miami sun and it’s nightlife Jeff wouldn’t be having as good of a time if you weren’t there. You truly made the trip for him, making the sunny days that were good for his mental health even better and the dreary days full of life from your infectious positivity and smile.
You let out a loud laugh as you and Jeff wrap your arms around each others, mimicking a toast before brining your drink to your lips while your boyfriend did the same. At the same time you two sip at your virgin drinks while maintaining eye contact with each other in the close position. You gulp down the rest of your cold drink despite it being alcohol free before untangling your arm with Jeff’s and ordering another at the outside bar.
Over the past four years of knowing Jeff the two of you created a special connection that no one in your friend group had with each other. And that was being sober. Jeff turned to alcohol after his break up with his ex girlfriend while you on the other hand turned to it to deal with the death of your mom. To say you were there for each other was an understatement. When the temptation to drink was too much Jeff would call you up and the two of you would go on late night hikes and talk about everything and anything, and vice versa for you. There was always a mutual pining for one another, but neither of you acted on it due to how broken you both were at the time. However, as the years went by your feelings only intensified along with Jeff’s. Though it wasn’t until a few months after Jeff’s accident when he took a leap of faith and finally confessed his feelings to you after realizing how short life truly was.
Jeff places his glass on the bar as well, placing his hand on the small of your back while looking around the crowded club that was partly inside and partly outside. Once you get a refill of your drink you turn around sipping on the paper straw, your back leaning against the bar causing Jeff to redirect his attention back to you.
“You look beautiful.” He says looking down at you in his arms.
Heat washes over your face and Jeff’s smile widens at how flustered you still got after all this time together. He loved showering you in words of affirmation and he meant every thing he said to you. Although, you always look beautiful the way the moonlight reflected off of your skin made you look angelic. It was a great contrast to you earlier in the day at the beach wearing a strawberry printed bikini that made Jeff feel a certain way.
“Thank you baby you don’t look too bad yourself.” You say placing a soft peck on Jeff’s lips before pulling him towards the dance floor.
I wanna stay up 'til the mornin' with you talkin' Just to listen to the things you say And every time we're in the middle of the city I imagine us so far away
The two of you sat down in a booth with Mike Majilak and Logan Paul at a random Denny’s that was in between your hotel and the club you four were previously partying at. By now the jet lag and the numerous activities you and Jeff participated in was starting to catch up to you. However, that wasn’t apparent to anyone other than Jeff as you talked the boys ears off while eating.
“We’ll see you guys later! And once again Y/N text me when you’re free to film an episode of ImPaulsive.” Logan says as him and Mike get out of the booth, placing money on the table and getting ready to leave the restaurant.
“Of course!” You exclaim before picking up your lemonade and drinking what was left. Jeff bids his goodbyes to the two influencers and once they leave you quickly rest your head on his broad shoulder, letting out a loud sigh.
“You okay doll?” Jeff asks placing his hand on your thigh.
“Yea just tired.” You say kissing his neck and placing your hand on his cheek. Similar to Jeff you were able to pick up on the energy of situations and that affected how you acted. So once Mike and Logan left you felt as if you could finally wind down from their partying aura.
A comforting silence falls upon you two and your eyes slowly flutter close as the rising sun shines in through the Denny’s windows. As cliche as it sounded Jeff felt as if it was only you two in the quiet breakfast place. The brunette rests his head against yours and his eyes follows your lead by shutting close.
The two of you remain in this position for a few minutes, cherishing not only the first quiet moment of the trip, but also the little moments you two shared.
Ooh, ooh Ooh, you're my holiday
Scratching at his eyes and stretching Jeff slowly and quietly gets out of bed, the sun filtering in through the hotels curtains and onto your sleeping body. You looked so peaceful and he didn’t want to disturb that. Once you guys returned to your hotel room from a night out partying and a very early breakfast at Denny’s the two of you instantly fell asleep.
Jeff glances at the analogue clock on the bedside table which read 2:34pm before he slips on a pair of pants and a t-shirt. Making sure to not wake you Jeff grabs his phone, wallet and room key then quietly leaves your shared room. However, before he leaves he makes sure to place a gentle kiss on your forehead and whisper to you how much he loves you.
Throughout the trip he was constantly reminded of how much he loved you. You helped him through some of the darkest times in his life and after all this time of knowing and being together Jeff finally knew what he had to do.
Remembering a shop that was a few buildings away from your hotel, Jeff quickly walks over to it wanting to be back before you woke up. The Staten Island native hands become clammy as he approaches the store, his tough guy persona seemingly crashing down with every step he took.
The bell above the shops door dings as Jeff walks in causing a sales representative to walk over to him with a welcoming smile.
“Good afternoon how can I help you?” She asks. Jeff takes a look around the quaint shop and all of the glass casings before redirecting his attention back to the worker.
“Hi uh yea, I was wondering if you guys have any engagement rings?”

Inside of Your Light
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jeff Wittek x Plus Size Model! Reader
Summary: The vlog squad threw you a special surprise for your birthday, including a big present that may change your life.
a/n: songfic What Have I Done by Dermont Kennedy
You woke up around 7 o'clock in the morning when your phone rang. You groggily grab it and see that your boyfriend, Jeff, started to facetime you. "Hello?" you whispered as your eyes tried to pry open.
"Happy Birthday, baby girl." Jeff said brightly, making you blush.
"Aww, thank you, Jeff. But why did you call me so early in the morning?" You joked as you started to sit up on your mattress. "Sorry, I'm at the gym at the hotel and I thought you'd be awake right now." Jeff replied sheepishly. Jeff got offered a brand deal in New York so he wasn't able to celebrate your special day in LA.
"It's ok, I was meaning to get dolled up a bit before Carley and Erin pick me up to get our nails done." You started to yawn as it made Jeff's heart melt a bit. "You're so cute when you wake up." he said, admiring how the sun hits the back of your head.
You smirk back at the screen as you playfully roll your eyes. “And to everyone else in the world, I’m Frankenstein coming back from the dead.” Jeff laughed harder as he smiled at you. “I gotta go and wrap my reps. Just wanted to wish my best girl an amazing day.” You blow him an air kiss as he winked back. “Love you, babes.” You said as you got out of bed. “Love you more,” Jeff said before he hung up the call.
You take a deep breath and thought how lucky you were to be with a guy like Jeff. You and Jeff joined the vlog squad around the same time a few years back. You were a plus-size model for a few companies like Fashion Nova and Pretty Little Thing. Once you started off your YouTube channel, Carley saw your videos and dmed you on Instagram to hang out sometime. You met up at a lunch with the group and she introduced you to everyone, but somehow caught Jeff’s eye.
The whole time, you and Jeff started to hit it off. Then with a lot of flirting and calling each other late at night, you both decided to make it official. Jeff thought you would turn him away due to his past, but you truly accepted him for his journey, even if it wasn’t pretty. Now you were going strong for about three years, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
After you’ve gotten ready, Erin texted you that they were outside. You head out and enter their car as they began filming. “Hey, guys! We just picked up our queen, happy birthday!” You smile brightly as you buckle in the back. “Thank you guys!” you said. Carly turns back to you and gives you your favorite Starbucks drink and a cake pop. “Thought you could use a little sugary treat to start the day.” You make a small pout from the gesture, thanking her again.
On your way to the nail salon, you guys start talking about David’s latest antics as well as a fancy restaurant that just opened that you really wanted to try. The girls make a face at the camera but you didn’t make of it as you arrived at your appointment. Carly switches off the camera as you all started heading out of the car.
Once you were all done, you all started to fan over the amazing job of your nail artists (which you all generously tipped) and decided to go out for lunch. “Are we still clubbing tonight?” Carly asked as she sipped her Seltzer. You nod yes as you finished a bite of your appetizer. “Yep, I’m so excited to wear this cocktail dress Jeff gave me before he left. I just wished he was here to celebrate.” You said, fumbling with the end of a napkin in front of you.
The girls give you a sympathetic look, knowing how much you’ve been missing him the past couple of days. Even after they changed the subject, all you could think of was Jeff. But after a good meal and a little site seeing, you started to feel a bit better. The girls dropped you home so you could relax before clubbing the night away.
Right when it hit evening, you began getting ready as you curled your hair and did your makeup just right. You slipped on the dress Jeff gave you that adored every curve on your figure, silently thanking your boyfriend for his taste in fashion.
You suddenly hear a knock at the door, thinking it's one of the girls. You unlock the door and open it to reveal no other than your very well-dressed boyfriend. "Jeff! You're back!" You screamed as you gave him a crushing hug, later kissing him. "Hey, doll." Jeff whispered as you took his breath away, taking out a bouquet of your favorite flowers.
"What are you doing back home?" You asked, still dazed that's actually at your doorstep. "C'mon, did you really think I was going to miss my best girl's big day?" He questioned with a twinkle in his eye. You roll your eyes and hug him again, truly blessed to have such an amazing boyfriend.
"I'm here to pick you up to your destination, shall we?" He offers his hand that you gladly took it. He helps you in his car as you both drove off to the main road with his hand on your upper thigh. You notice that he doesn't take the road to the club. "Babe, I think you missed a turn." you told Jeff who was smirking even more at your cluelessness. "Don't worry dolI, I know where I'm going." he takes a hold of your hand and kisses your knuckle as you blush harder.
He then parks in a parking lot and goes out of the car to open your door. Before you could actually take in your surroundings, Jeff shielded your view. "Hey! Jeff seriously, where are we?" you lightly scolded him. "You gotta trust me now, okay?" you agreed as you grumbled under your breath. With a few more steps, you start to enter a doorway that was decorated with...
streamers?
Jeff takes his hands off and you see all of your friends surrounding you. "Happy Birthday!" they all screamed out loud. You smile from ear to ear as Jeff wrapped his arms around your waist. Utterly shocked, you did your best to express your happiness but you were beyond speechless.
You suddenly realized that the place you were in was the restaurant you've desperately wanted to try and you turn around to Jeff who was beaming at your joy. "All for you, baby girl." his husky voice told you as you hugged him, pecking his face with kisses. Then, all of your friends ushered you both in to dine and dance. You saw how the entire restaurant had accents of rose gold decorations, as well as your friends wearing the same color palette.
Although this surprise was really touching, something was bothering you. Usually, they would throw parties like these for David, so why would they celebrate something big for you?
Later on, you all ate the most mouth-watering food as well as dancing to your favorite songs. Once they take out the birthday cake, you lose sight of Jeff. You ask Carly where he is but she brushed it off, saying that he's probably getting you a drink. As you started to dish out the cake, David stood up and clinked a knife to a glass.
"Hey everyone! If I could get your attention please." David shouted as the whole party calmed down. "There is a special surprise waiting outside on the back patio for our birthday girl, so could our celebrant please wear a blindfold?" Everyone started to cheer except for you. "I swear David if it's a wild animal..." you warned him but it was too late. One of the guys used a long fabric to cover your eyes, guiding you outside.
They take off the blindfold to reveal your boyfriend standing in front of you. You don't understand what's going on until you see a flower arch in the back of him, with a message illuminating "Marry Me." You gasp lightly as you cover your mouth with your eyes starting to water.
Jeff takes your shaking hands into his, ready to start his speech. “I wasn't really in New York for a brand deal, I was picking up your birthday gift.”
He then lowers himself on one knee, taking out a small pastel pink box to reveal a beautiful gold band decorated with transcendent diamonds. Both of you start to cry, but Jeff is literally a mess as he tries to finish his words.
“Before I met you, I thought I’d be better off alone. Now, my soul has been torn and reborn, started breathing for the very first in my life. As I’m standing in front of you, I wanna get it right for once.
Oh, believe me when I say I've been knocked out and beat but this feeling is fleeting. Even this morning, I've been thinking 'bout the way you smile golden…I want to move inside of your light.
I never thought I needed saving, I was right where I should be Good God, I know it's dangerous, but it's you that I need I'm in love this time. So, do you wanna be mine forever?”
You uncover your mouth and shake your head.
"Yes, yes, a thousand times yes." you said. The waterworks literally overcame both of you as he slid the ring around your finger, getting up to kiss your lips. Your friends cheer as they close up to you, firing confetti cannons into the air. You look up to Jeff as you wiped away his happy tears away from his face.
No words were exchanged, but you could tell through his eyes that he was forever grateful for you to be a part of his life. You both kiss again, ending the night with great friends and memories that will forever last in the video Joe has been recording for Jeff's channel (which trended 14 million on YouTube for a whole month).
You were the light in his life and he will bask in it for eternity.
