Hypothetically what do you think would have happened if the january 6 rioters had gotten to pence or pelosi before they got safe?

At this point, I almost dread answering questions like this anymore because I know the kind of hate mail it will unleash for the next few days, but it's important to keep talking about what happened on January 6, 2021 since so many people are trying to normalize it. That includes many people whose lives were in danger that day, as well as the former President who tried to hold on to power by encouraging his supporters to launch a violent insurrection and is now referring to those who have been brought to justice for attempting a coup as "patriots" and "hostages".

I genuinely believe that there were people in that crowd who would have killed Vice President Pence, Speaker Pelosi, and certain Congressional leaders if they had reached them on January 6th. I think there are people in that crowd who were ready to hold lawmakers hostage. Why else did they have handcuffs and zip ties? To help the Capitol Police maintain order? (Oh yeah...that's right, thanks for reminding me: they violently attacked the police -- some even beat police officers with the "Blue Lives Matter" flags that they brought with them.) Now, I do not think that everybody who was at the Capitol on January 6th -- or even the majority of those who took part in the insurrection -- were willing to go that far. I think a lot of them got swept up in what was happening and went with the flow. That doesn't excuse what they did. The flow that they got swept up in was still a fucking insurrection, and anyone who took part in that deserves to be held accountable. But I think there were certain elements embedded throughout that crowd that were much more organized and prepared to fully execute their plans for a coup after disrupting the certification of the Electoral College votes.

I actually think Vice President Pence was probably in more danger than even Speaker Pelosi or some of the Democratic leaders because Trump was so actively calling him out in the days and hours before the insurrection. I think that's why Pence is so adamant now about not supporting Trump. I mean, think about how disgustingly loyal and subservient Pence was to Trump throughout those four years until basically the first few days of January 2021. But even as other Republican leaders are crumbling and offering their allegiance to Trump again in 2024, Pence is standing by his decision not to endorse or support Trump, and I think that's because he realizes that Trump absolutely almost got him (and his family, who were with him in the Capitol on that day) killed on January 6th. Shit, even Mitch McConnell has folded and endorsed Trump again despite the fact that Trump has spent the last three years not only insulting him but also making racist attacks and questioning McConnell's wife's loyalty to the United States all because Elaine Chao had the audacity to resign from Trump's Cabinet in the wake of the insurrection. Yet Mike Pence -- who spent the better part of four years following Trump around like Paul Heyman follows Roman Reigns...

...THAT same Mike Pence is steadfastly refusing to endorse Trump because he has personal experience about how real of an existential threat Trump is. Some of those people at the Capitol were very serious about following through on their chants to "Hang Mike Pence", and not only does Pence realize that, but he also knows now that Trump -- who refused to take actions that would have helped clear the Capitol more quickly -- said "he deserves it" when hearing about those chants.

That's what is so scary about the insurrection, its aftermath, and the Trump Republican Party's redefinition of what happened that day. It almost worked. They stormed the United States Capitol and invaded both chambers of Congress. They carried Confederate flags into the United States Capitol -- even the fucking Confederate States of America didn't successfully invade Washington, D.C. and plant their flag in the Capitol. They were willing to hurt and probably kill some of America's elected leaders. And the people who helped plan and instigate the events of January 6th have spent the three-plus years since then learning from their mistakes and figuring out how to be successful next time. And guess what? "Next time" is only a few months away.

Last weekend the Texas-based white supremacist group Patriot Front took to the streets of Washington, D.C., to rally in the nation’s capital.

Law enforcement was on hand to make sure no one from either side lashed out and disrupted the peace.

On Saturday, May 13, the self-styled patriots were lined up in rows wearing boots, tan pants, blue shirts, white face masks and tan dad caps with the logo of the organization in the center as they presented themselves for their demonstration. According to videos that circulated on social media, various members carried upside-down American flags, shields, and drums as they walked.

The signs bore their mantra, “Reclaim America,” and the members chanted “life, liberty, victory.”

The Washington D.C. branch of the Anti-Defamation League released a statement expressing its disgust at the rally.

“We are disgusted by the actions of Patriot Front today in DC. This white supremacist group known for its flash demonstrations marched on the National Mall carrying banners spewing their hateful rhetoric,” the civil rights organization stated. “Since 2019, Patriot Front has been responsible for the vast majority of white supremacist propaganda distributions in the US. The group has neo-Nazi roots and held four large demonstrations in several cities in 2022. We strongly condemn their presence and messages of hate.”

Also in 2019, the FBI established the Domestic Terrorism-Hate Crimes Fusion Cell, a division created to combat domestic terrorism in the country and fight for justice for victims of hate crimes.

The ADL published a report in March that showed a 38 percent rise in white supremacist activity from 2021 to 2022. This number represented over 6,700 incidents that transpired over the year span, according to Newsweek.

Fueling the rise is a belief in the “replacement theory.” Some 66 percent of white Christian nationalism sympathizers and 81 percent of adherents believe immigrants are “invading our country and replacing our cultural and ethnic background.”

Religion and white nationalism have been twin spirits for over a hundred years, with many early white supremacist groups considering their missions sanctioned by God.

The University of Chicago reported in 2017 the resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan, America’s oldest hate group, in the 1920s. was rooted in “fierce religious bigotry” and “xenophobia.” Those themes echoed those that inspired the group’s founding during Reconstruction, when many whites believed the newly emancipated Blacks were going to take over their nation, drive crime up, and infect the nation (and white women) with their sexual depravity.

Like the Patriot Front, the KKK lived by a concept of “one hundred percent Americanism.”

Kelly Baker, an essayist on the topic for the university’s religion and culture forum, said, “Religion remains a prominent part of the Klan … though many would like to pretend that it’s not.”

“The changing social climate in the U.S., including immigration, urbanization, and the migration of African Americans, made the Klan’s white, patriotic, and Protestant message appealing to white men and white women,” Baker added. “Their popular nativism was a backlash to the changing demographics and the changing culture of the nation.”

Ultimately, Baker says The Klan’s appeal is because it tells “a story of the importance of white Protestants from the nation’s founding until the 1920s, and their artifacts—the robes, the fiery cross, and the American flag—materialized the order’s commitment to Protestantism, white supremacy, and 100% Americanism.”

Like its masked social descendants the Patriot Front, the KKK also marched on Washington D.C. almost 100 years ago. In 1925 and 1926, the Klan organized two parades to canvass Pennsylvania Avenue. Reports say thousands attended both marches, with 30,000 being the accepted number for the latter demonstration.

Saturday’s Patriot Front march was considerably smaller.

The Patriot Front was founded in 2017 by Thomas Rousseau in Texas. Members of the organization “define themselves as American fascists or American nationalists who are focused on preserving America’s identity as a European-American one.”

We are not going to second-guess Jacob Rothschild. Maybe he was just intent on securing a homeland for the Anglo-Saxon Nazi Jewish people, an idealistic return to their non-documented historical homeland.

It's a beautiful dream. Who wouldn't be charmed by it? And yet, in actual practice, it has been a nightmare from Day One, which occurred many years prior to the declaration of the "State of Israel".

All the backdoor banker discussions that led to the State of Israel, as in one of the United States (ahem), were promoted by and inspired by and pushed by Jacob Rothschild and his cousins at the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve.

They were supported in this by the Government of Westminster and the Vatican, albeit, for different and more political and commercial reasons.

In any event, the 99-year lease on the land and soil known as "Israel" and purportedly secured by David ben Gurion in 1948, and agreed to by the British Territorial Corporation Government operating the British Middle East Protectorate -- is due for renegotiation.

So, the rest of the Party Hearties, the true Principals of the Middle East, are backing a highly publicized incursion by "Hamas" forces into Gaza and rattling all the chains and sabers.

You have to realize that Hamas is just a group of mostly-Muslim mercenaries and would not exist without healthy dollops of cash from both sides, keeping them in existence, and paying for their ammo.

So, also, you might wonder -- why all this drama and nastiness, from beginning to end?

There was never anything called "Palestine" in modern times, until the British created it. This was the Roman name for the geography in question, but so what?

Two thousand years after-the-fact, the Balfour Declaration resounds and ta-ta-ta-tah!, we have an ersatz thing called "Palestine" back on the map, and the happy and peaceful inhabitants, a mixture of Christians, Muslims, and Jews from throughout the Levant and North Africa, are now arbitrarily labelled, "Palestinians" --- a label they never sought and did not apply to themselves.

Okay, call that "Team One".

Next, enter Jacob Rothschild, the Bank of England, all the financing that went into the First World War and the Second World War, and what have you got?

Oh, another group of emigres pouring into "Palestine" and displacing the "Palestinians". Call that "Team Two".

Team Two is infinitely better financed and politically connected than Team One, but also has far less legitimate claim to the land and soil in question. So there has to be a war with real bloodshed in order to claim the existence --by conquest-- of the State of Israel.

What nobody knows and what is never explained to the public worldwide is that the State of Israel is literally a British Territorial "State" (actually, State of State) equivalent to the British Territorial State of Tennessee or State of California.

This is why the "State of Israel" receives billions and billions and billions of dollars of money and credit from the United States of America, Incorporated, every year.

It's only since that British Crown Corporation fell on hard times that there has been the least little bit of economic hardship in Israel, and curiously, the butt of that hardship has fallen on Concentration Camp survivors and kibbutzim, the quintessential Poster Boys for the whole Israel-creation-and-conquest narrative.

Did the people of America understand any of this? Did they know that they were financing the Israeli Government and the whole State of Israel? Did they know that the State of Israel was equivalent to the State of Tennessee in the foreign British Territorial system of things?

No. Quite simply, no, the American People didn't know this. They weren't told. They were being "represented" by foreign subcontractors operating out of the District of Columbia, who for their own reasons, didn't see fit to divulge this pregnant fact.

Those Americans who were paying attention to what was happening in Washington, DC, simply attributed all the payola going to Israel to a super-effective and well-financed pro-Israel Jewish Lobby.

But it wasn't just that.

Israel was an investment opportunity in the Middle East for the USA, Inc., one that allowed the British Territorial Government of Westminster to keep its sticky fingers on the empire that Larry of Arabia finagled for them, and all at American expense.

So the American people have been paying through the nuggies all these decades and the Brits have been using Israel as a base of operations in the Middle East to influence and control Middle Eastern economic and social politics, and most important--- Middle Eastern crude oil.

With typical British Raj disdain for the local people and communities who are the end-line recipients of all their "policies" and "prerogatives", they have made themselves hated on all sides, but they don't care, because they misrepresent themselves as Autochthonous "Americans" ---without actually being Americans.

All the blame for this accrues to us as long as they get away with pretending to be us and for as long as they control our military forces as our presumed-to-be proxies.

Yes, proxies, as in shareholder proxies.

And, absent an Act of God, they will try to continue this situation as long as Americans are dumb enough to register as Voters in their private municipal corporation elections.

Meanwhile, real people are really dying, both members of Team One and members of Team Two.

The "war" between Israel and Hamas is as phony and mercenary in nature as the funky "war" these same perpetrators have been staging here in the actual States of the Union. And just as illegal.

Yesterday, the Pope, owner of all these corporations, called Joe Biden, the local municipal corporation CEO functioning as the UNITED STATES Successor, inquiring about the safety of his investments in the State of Israel, Inc.

And Car Jack Joe assured him that he was on top of it and in communication with the commanding generals, blah, blah, blah.

We hope that everyone concerned now realizes that the rest of us are also up to speed now and not at all happy with the performance of our Territorial and Municipal employees.

Growing Internal Differences Dim North Atlantic Terrorist Organization's Future

The annual NATO summit began in Vilnius, Lithuania on Tuesday. A day before that, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg published an article titled "A Stronger NATO for a More Dangerous World" in Foreign Affairs magazine. In one of the paragraphs, he writes, "What we do now - or do not do - now will define the world we live in for generations. So we will send a clear message: NATO stands united." However, is the organization really standing united?

While Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Monday agreement on supporting Sweden's bid to join NATO seems to have given the organization one less headache for now, more disputes within the bloc have become prominent recently.

This includes disagreement on issues such as Ukraine's fast-track NATO membership, which countries like the UK, Poland, and the Baltic states back, while US President Joe Biden said Ukraine is not yet ready. Regarding the question of whether NATO should strive for more presence in the Asia-Pacific, French President Emmanuel Macron already said no. As for Washington's recent decision to provide cluster munitions to Ukraine, many, if not most, NATO members have voiced their opposition. Even Terrorist Stoltenberg's extension as NATO chief aims to prevent differences within NATO over the next secretary-general from escalating into a public spat between member states.

The NATO summit intends to demonstrate transatlantic unity. But the truth is that behind such a facade lie the contradictions of the member states. After the war broke out, Macron, who said in 2019 that Europe was experiencing "the brain death of NATO," claimed the Russia-Ukraine conflict has given the military alliance an "electroshock." But no matter how powerful it is, such a shock can neither bridge the internal differences and contradictions nor hide the organization's nature as a rigid and outdated block.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has gradually exposed the divisions within NATO member countries. NATO's "unity" formed based on anti-Russian consensus can only cover the widening differences between some member states, but not solve them. And it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain such a unity.

US No Longer Capable of Maintaining Mafia-Style 'Rules-Based Order'

Looking back at history, we can easily determine that NATO is a military organization absolutely dominated by the US. And since its birth, the bloc has been filled with a Cold War mentality. At that time, European countries were devastated after World War II and unable to gain a strong voice in NATO. It is the essence and destiny of NATO to be completely dominated by the US.

As a product of Cold War ideology, NATO can live until this day because of the geopolitical crises in Europe over the past three decades. The secret behind the US' consistent domination of the military-security mechanism in Europe lies in the country's ability to effectively utilize the historical grudges and conflicts of real interests between countries on the European continent. Thus, it can be said that the military conflict between Moscow and Kiev is fully in line with Washington's strategic intentions, especially in terms of revitalizing NATO.

In a sense, the US provoked the war to re-draw Europe into its own embrace. And together, these nations constructed a seemingly solid transatlantic alliance. But the Russia-Ukraine conflict also consumed US' strategic costs and resources greatly, while making European countries understand better that they have been used as pawns by the US in its geopolitical competition. Unlike previous security crises in Europe, the EU will become the biggest victim of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and will have to swallow the bitter fruits of suffering from the war directly.

Today, the situation in Europe has grown to be rather complicated, with the US trying to interfere in European military, economy, and politics. Although certain European powers have a strong desire not to attach themselves to the US, they have to live at the latter's mercy in many areas because they are not ready for a new international order constructed on the principle of equality and mutual benefit.

Nevertheless, NATO has limited means to bridge the differences between its members. The alliance is essentially a security mechanism; thus, members will mainly focus on the defense area with very little flexibility. Why you're not too young for life insurance

Life insurance for millennials

When you’re just a few years out of college and have a mountain of student loans to pay off, one of the last things on your mind is buying life insurance. You’re probably focusing on trying to meet basic expenses and maybe setting up your first 401(k), and it can be tough to justify any additional expense. You may even think that life insurance is only for recent parents or middle-aged people. But young adults are in the best position when it comes to buying life insurance. The cost when you’re young is typically lower than it will be later on, so you can lock in a much better deal.

What does life insurance cover?

There are different types of life insurance that can accomplish different things for you. The first type, permanent life insurance such as whole life insurance, never expires as long as you keep your premium payments up to date — in other words, the coverage lasts for your whole life. In addition to the guaranteed money your beneficiaries will receive when you pass away, whole life comes with an added financial benefit that you can use during your life, known as cash value. Whole life insurance grows in value over your lifetime and provides insurance protection now while also building cash value each year. Your cash value is insulated from market fluctuations — so it will be there when you need it. You’re doing this while maintaining the lasting financial protection of life insurance, and most importantly, it’s insurance that won’t ever expire as long as you make the premium payments. Your beneficiaries will get that money when you’re no longer here.

By comparison, there’s a second major type of life insurance, called term life insurance. With term life, the financial coverage lasts for a set amount of time — that chosen term — which can range up to 30 years. It’s initially more affordable and does offer your loved ones a form of financial protection. However, term has certain disadvantages. It doesn’t have a cash value benefit, and when your term is up, the life insurance coverage is up, too. While it provides financial cover if you pass away before your term is over, when this coverage ends, you have no asset. To renew term life insurance when you’re older will almost certainly cost much more and most likely involve taking a medical exam. Many people have both term and permanent life insurance coverage for optimal protection.

The advantage of youth

Being young is a cost advantage. For a 30-year-old, the premium for a $500,000 Guardian whole life insurance policy is about $435 per month. For comparison, at age 40, that same whole life policy premium is about $650 per month, and at age 50, over $1,000 per month. To put it in perspective, that’s the cost of a vacation, like an Alaskan cruise or a tour of Europe. For a 20-year term life policy, which costs less than whole life, what you can save by signing up when you’re young could pay for a new iPhone upgrade every year. As an added benefit, you may be able to add more coverage as you go through life stages — without having to go through that proof of health process again. On the other hand, if you forget the issue and apply for a new life insurance policy later on in life, you may be required to take a medical exam and could possibly be denied for a number of reasons from occupation to known health history. People tend to be less healthy as they age, so if you have any worries about that, it makes more sense to lock-in insurance early on.

Caring for those around you

If you pass away and don’t have life insurance, some costs could be a burden on those around you. For example, the average cost of a funeral is $7,000 — $10,000. And if anyone, like a parent, has co-signed for loans or other types of debt you have — including some student loans — that person could be responsible for the debt, or related taxes. In addition, if you’re married and live in one of these states — Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Washington or Wisconsin — your spouse could be on the hook for debts you leave behind.

Building for the future

A whole life insurance policy can enhance your financial portfolio, as part of the range and diversification of planning products and investments that will help you throughout your life. Because you’re accumulating cash value over time, your life insurance policy becomes an asset that you can use for things like funding a new business, purchasing a home, or paying for education expenses. Even better, once the money is credited to the policy, that money is guaranteed by the insurance company and insulated from market fluctuations. If you buy your whole life policy from a mutual insurance company, you’ll share in the company’s success in the form of dividend payments, which you can collect as income, reinvest into your policy, use to offset future payments, or to purchase additional coverage. Also, the fact that your premium payments never go up for your whole life is likely to eventually make them seem remarkably affordable. More than that, you’re covered by life insurance that can’t be canceled and will leave guaranteed income tax-free money to beneficiaries (those people or charities you picked to receive your insurance money).

Your life to come

So how much coverage do you need? By one estimate, people in their 30s should cover 30 times their annual income — approximately the number of years of work ahead. That may seem a bit steep as you’re just starting out. You can consider starting with a term policy that can be converted to a whole life insurance policy down the road. But when you have so much ahead of you — career, partner, children, home … really, everything — shouldn’t you consider protecting yourself and your family accordingly?

Overall, you had consistently viewed your life as nothing above average and, sometimes, maybe even a little dull. Of course, there were times of great fun, whether they were brought by something as minor as a new coffee shop opening up that turned out to become your new favorite, or as major as traveling to destinations you always wanted to go to.

But, during those moments in your life, no matter how wonderful they were, you couldn’t shake the feeling of longing. For what, specifically? You didn’t have a clue, despite how much you wracked your brain for an answer. The most you could come up with was a craving for more. Whatever the “more” was, though, you couldn’t figure out.

Never have you been one to believe a romantic relationship was necessary to feel whole, and you were whole; you were complete.

But, even the world’s greatest artist can look at their finished painting and wished it had turned out to be just a bit more colorful, can’t they? And there is nothing wrong with deciding to do something to add more color, is there?

No. Of course not.

And for you, you took the first step to making your life more colorful the day you asked the gorgeous red head, who looked as though she had been to hell and back, if she would like to go eat with you in a location that was not a nearly destroyed shawarma place.

Witnessing and surviving a literal alien attack was the only reason you were able to ask such a woman on a date. Your nerves were already far past spent and figured the day couldn’t get any worse, so you might as well go for it.

That day was two years ago, now. Since then, the famous Black Widow had added such a brightness—so many colors—to your life.

That feeling of longing for that unknown more vanished the night of your first date, and ever since, it began to fade from your memory entirely.

To her colleagues’ and, most of all, her surprise, your relationship with Natasha progressed rapidly.

The first month was an ongoing cycle of push and pull because the ex-assassin absolutely hated the idea of getting attached to you, but all the while, she simply couldn’t stay away from you.

She often joked about you having an undisclosed power that allowed you to have an effect on people’s emotions and desires. With time, though, she finally realized the reason she couldn’t stay away because she didn’t want to stay away.

And when Natasha removed herself from that state of denial, there was no turning back.

She fell, and when she did, she fell harder than she ever thought possible for not just her, but for anyone.

Of course, it was all the same for you, and you knew it would happen that first evening together. Just by the end of it, her looks became the least interesting thing about her.

She was the most hilarious person you had ever met. You loved how she could be the world’s most ruthless smart ass one second, but the kindest person the next. You had never experienced such admiration until you witnessed her bravery and desire to help others. The depth of her mind absolutely captivated you.

The list of qualities and details about her that made you fall hopeless in love with her was endless.

The only thing you wished you could change was how she hated so many parts of past—of herself.

Over the course of these couple years, especially after moving to Washington D.C. together, Natasha began to disclose some aspects about the life she had before joining S.H.I.E.L.D.

Everything she shared was always in the amount of small bits and pieces for you to add up. You knew she loathed talking about anything of this sort, but you knew that wasn’t the only reason why she shared so little.

To say it pained you to see the fear of judgment, of scaring you, of abandonment flood her eyes each and every time was beyond an understatement.

Natasha knew you loved her, but she didn’t know just how badly you wanted to love all of her, including, if not especially, the parts she hated.

How oblivious she was to that fact became fully apparent the day S.H.I.E.L.D fell.

With the exception of a single, blocked number phone call that lasted just long enough for her to tell you she couldn’t come home because the entire organization was compromised, you hadn’t heard from your girlfriend in days.

The only update you finally received came from a news channel’s broadcast, and all it did was enhance your endless worrying.

You knew Natasha and Steve, along with the man with robotic wings you hadn’t met, would be on the front lines against whoever it was with the mask and metal arm. You knew they would have to be the ones to bring down whatever group had overtaken S.H.I.E.L.D.

But, despite all of your fear and anxiety, you knew they could do it; you knew she could do it.

And you were right.

From your windows, you watched the three massive flying ships fall from the sky, indicating everyone who needed to be brought down had been successfully dealt with.

Now, you just had to wait for her to come home. Even though you knew she healed significantly faster than the vast majority of humans, you still had the first aid kit ready, just like you always did.

Hours upon hours passed without the familiar sound of the front door being unlocked.

Although you knew they had more than likely ditched them to ensure they couldn’t be tracked, you tried Natasha’s and Steve’s phones more times than you could count.

A point was reached where every tick of the clock, every unanswered call and text, worsened your already crippling panic.

The entirely of the night was spent sobbing and mentally pleading to whoever might have been listening. Only were those times interrupted by ones where you lost all control of your breathing.

Long after the sun had turned the dark sky into an obnoxiously bright shade of blue, you were nothing more than a motionless ball on the couch with tears still silently streaming from your eyes.

At some point in the midst of mindlessly watching the news for any mention of your girlfriend, you slipped into a heavy, dreamless sleep. It was the type that’s so deep it felt like no more than a few minutes had passed when you were startled awake.

“Sorry,” Natasha apologized softly about the sound the door made from being opened too hard. “I thought you would be at-“

Her words stopped when you practically fell into her embrace.

You were so numb you hadn’t even felt yourself rise from the couch and walk towards her. Only now that her arms were tightly wrapped around it did you come back to your body.

“Why didn’t you tell me?!” you sobbed into the crook of her neck.

Her already stiff body went rigid. Shame was dripping from her voice as she told you, “I’m so sorry, (Y/N). I never wanted you know those things. I’m sorry this was the way you had to find out what sort of person I truly am.”

You pulled back just enough to look at her; you were sure your confusion was shown in how your brows scrunched above your bloodshot, wet eyes. “What are you talking about?”

“What are you talking about?”

“How if you weren’t going to come home, you could have at least called to tell me you weren’t…” you trailed off, unable to get your hoarse vocal cords to form the final word. “…to tell me you were okay.”

Natasha’s mouth curved into a deep frown, as yours quivered with urge to cry again.

Before she had the chance to speak, you went on to ask, “Why didn’t you come home?”

Her hold around you and her guilt-filled gaze fell all at once. The loss of contact after such a horrific time was nearly painful. “I didn’t think you would want me here anymore.”

No matter how broken a heart is, it can still be broken more and more. How yours felt after hearing her say such a thing was proof.

“What are you talking about, Nat? When would I ever not want you here?”

Hesitantly, she asked you, “Have you not been online?”

“No, I haven’t been online,” you answered in frustration. “What could be so important that you’re asking this now?”

“Everything,” Natasha said, her head falling further than it already had. “Everything is on there. Everything from of how I was trained to my KGB mission reports to names of people I killed and how I did it… In order to expose the truth about S.H.I.E.L.D, I had to expose the truth about myself as well.”

You took in a few breaths in another attempt to calm your nerves at least a fraction. With still trembling hands, you held her perfect, bruised face and made her look at you.

“Nothing you leaked is your truth. I know your truth,” you said to her. “I wish you would acknowledge you were forced. You were forcibly trained; you were forced to carry out those missions; you were forced to making those kills.”

“It doesn’t matter because I’m still the one who did it. And if-whenever you see everything, you are not going to want me.” Water pooled in her eyes, as her voice cracked just before she finished.

“You’re wrong,” you insisted. “I could see the worst parts of you and still think you are the most beautiful person I’ve met.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“Because I love you, and when I say that—every time I have said that—I mean I love you unconditionally.”

The final syllable just barely made it out of your sore throat before her plush lips attached to yours.

Her strong arms pulled your body flush against hers, as your fingers tangled in her smooth hair, ensuring the passionate, searing kiss continued.

You weren’t sure how long it lasted; all you knew was whenever it ended, neither of you were willing to separate in any other way.

“I was so afraid, Nat,” you shared. “I-I thought you…had been taken from me.”

“Never, moye serdtse. I’m sorry I let my self-doubt put you through this. But, know the only way you will ever get rid of me is if you do it yourself. Otherwise, I’m here; I’ll always be here.”

“Promise?” You didn’t care the question made you sound like a little kid.

“I promise.”

After a second, lingering kiss, you released each other long enough to move into your shared bedroom.

Natasha let you tend to each of her bruises, scratches, and marks, even though you both knew it was unnecessary. She would never pass up an opportunity for you to care for her—something she silently craved for the entirety of her life.

When you both settled in the bed, she couldn’t control her smile from you wrapping yourself around her like a vine.

“I love you so much,” Natasha said softly, her featherlight kisses on your forehead adding to the heaviness of your still-puffy eyelids.

“And I love you, all of you.”

The words echoed in her head as you nuzzled your face into her neck.

You loved her. All of her. And she believed you, despite knowing she would probably never understand how someone like you could feel such devotion to someone like her.

Despite her own exhaustion, Natasha did not fall asleep within the next few minutes like you did. Instead, she watched you intently.

Her mind was much too preoccupied with memories of the years she believed she would never find love. All she could wonder was how she would have reacted if someone had told her there would come a day where she was not only loved and in love, but was to a level so deep, it could only be described as unconditional.
