Turns out, I can not live on brioche alone. I started Tiber by Woolenberry. The yarn is Wax Bean by LolaBean Yarn Company. The colorway (which includes the mini) is Tell Me Something Good, part of her Black Label subscription. I do plan on using the mini, but not until I get to the second half of the shawl.

Do you have a recipie/instructions for the cooked cinnamon apple cuz that sounds magical ;o;

I don't have specific measurements because they change depending on the size of the apple you use but:

You'd need to first wash and cut your apple into thin slices (and I suggest doing this with a red apple, but something green and tart should also work), then you take a piece of butter as big as one or two of those slices and you let it melt into a pan. You then add the slices apple to the pan, moving it so it doesn't burn, and let it get soft for about five minutes. Then you add enough water in the pan to barely cover the apple, along as much sugar as you want and your spices of choice (I go with cloves, cinnamon, ginger, aniseed, dried juniper berries and a little bit of black tea), and you let it simmer on low heat for another ten minutes or more if you think it's still not soft enough. Lastly, you add some wheatstarch (I think cornstarch might also work? Unsure I never use that) and keep it simmering until the liquid thickens. + do this in a pan you can clean easily because it gets sticky really fast

#the spices can be honestly whatever you think might go best with apple and the apple doesn't need to be peeled if you've washed it enough #unless it's like. Elricest

Oh, you wanted brutal? My brutally honest opinion? Fine.

Elricest is the most tender, beautiful, awe-inspiring ship to be found on this planet. Nothing else can ever top the pure love and devotion that these two have for each other—or that they inspire in me.

I legitimately went into FMA knowing it featured brothers and telling myself “now I don’t have to ship the brothers just because they’re brothers…”

…and I don’t. I ship them because they are front and center in each others’ lives, the literal most important thing to each other, the only person they’d give up their whole life for. An arm, a leg, a heart. None of it matters, as long as they’re together.

Now, you did want brutal, so here’s my secret opinion on them: I don’t think they’re crazy enough.

Now this is more a thing about Ed and Al as characters, rather than them as a ship. But I think the narrative comes out making them seem too…squeaky clean.

Al in Conqueror of Shamballa comes the closest, with his determination to get Ed back at any cost, even that of bringing invaders from another dimension. But that choice of his is immediately chastised by the narrative. (Yes, yes, I know. Themes and everything. But what about what I, personally, want?)

I like my ships a little too devoted to each other. I like characters who are too wrapped up in each other to see the bigger picture. I guess that’s why I daydream all the time about the AU where they are like that.
