Day 17 of #marchmeetthemaker is what I’m working on. This is a new design I came up with for my sister who requested owls for a baby’s first Christmas ornament. I think it would also be a super sweet design for Mother’s Day. I could customize to add owlets for each of the kiddos, human or fur baby! If you have been following me for a while, you my have seen this a ways back...like 2 years ago 😂... but I thought I would post it again as it is a quick and easy test and it works! Do you know how to tell if your amber is real or not? Drop it in some salt water and see if it floats! If it floats, it's real...if it sinks, it's not. Lucky for me this georgous chunk of amber floats! According to some who lives by the Baltic Sea and commented when I posted this before ... amber washes up on the beaches there all the time as it floats on the salt water.... who wouldn't love to go to beach and come home with a bucket full of amber instead of seashells?.. or maybe come home with both! ... and btw... I've bought a sustainable bamboo tea chest and key box to paint up. They're a bit of an experiment and I'm really looking forward to injecting them with a bit of life. . If they sell well and people like them then I'll consider doing them regularly. . . . *Splat!* That’s how it’s been! . I’ve totally been neglecting my social media in my social distancing practice the last few days. It’s not you, it’s me! There have been plenty of other distractions without trying to worry about getting up a new art post each day, you know? I needed this time to get things together for myself and loved ones while the world’s gone mad and I think that’s a completely understandable understatement. . . Be sure to check in on older and less able loved ones and neighbors. I don’t know about other places, but Meals on Wheels has been put on hold here. I’ve been busy cooking and freezing meals for those I know will be needing it and listening to murders. Any murder is good, true murder, fictional murder mysteries, it doesn’t matter. Like my mother always says, “There’s nothing more relaxing than a good murder.” .
