Series Masterlist - Part 13: To the Ranch

(Note: Cielito is a reader-insert character and written without physical attributes, so you can picture her however you want. Cielito is you! I just needed a reference for a body, so I chose a model that kind of looked like me. 😊)

Scene under the cut:

An upbeat song started playing, and Javi let the cheese and grater fall onto the plate he was using.

“Is the sauce done?” He asked quickly.

“Yeah—” the word evolved into a giggle as he grabbed your hands and pulled you into the middle of the kitchen.

He was gripping your waist, bringing you closer to him as he sang with a smile, “Bidi bidi bom bom.” Your arms went around his neck as you laughed, Javi getting you both moving to the music, swaying a bit quicker than you usually danced with him, adding some impressive hip shaking.

He was singing all the words, dancing with you to the beat as you listened to what he sang, familiar with the song—it was Selena, after all—about how excited she gets when she sees the man she likes, and the sound her heart makes.

Giddy happiness was vibrating in your body, beyond amused by the impromptu dance session. At some point, Javi got your hands and had you wildly laughing when he carefully spun you and pulled you back to him with his front pressed to your spine, moving his hips from side to side with yours while he sang directly into your ear.

You loved when Javi got like this, just enjoying himself and having fun.

Spinning you one last time, he was laughing with you when he got you facing him again, this time his hands coming up to cradle your face, his eyes locked on yours as he sang you the final lines, changing one of the words, hearing him sing in Spanish:

“My heart goes crazy

Every time I see you pass,

And it starts to beat, like this, like this.”

And as the last word left his lips, he was moving in and crushing his mouth against yours and kissing the breath right from your lungs—welcoming his tongue when he delved it past your lips to tangle with your own.

You felt it in the way he kissed you—his adoration, devotion, love, your body heating at the passion, feeling the same things for him, your body awash in warmth and fuzziness, and simply happy to be there in the moment with him, the man you loved.

1. Why did you choose your url?

It’s a song by the band ‘the devil wears prada’ that really spoke to me when I was younger, because I was emo as hell and Sad™ - honestly it still hits and I don’t quite have the heart to change it I don’t think. I’m too sentimental lol. And also, I really struggle with being creative and I was lucky this one was even available haha

2. Any side blogs?

Nooo, it would be good for organisation of everything I like but I also like the idea of just having all this crap in one place haha. I did however, co-own a dan and phil blog with a bunch of people a long time ago. Oh, and me and a friend ran a decently successful lingerie blog at one point!!!!!

3. How long have you been on Tumblr?

Since July 2009, with some breaks in between!

4. Do you have a queue tag?

No, but almost everything I post is from the queue. I don’t understand queue tags because like, it’s not important for the people who follow me to know whether I’m actually online or not LOL

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

A very cool friend in HS started using it and introduced me to it in media class. Think lots of faded/filtered/aesthetic pics, emo stuff, band stuff.. yeah iykyk

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

A ship in one of my favourite tv shows finally became canon! Which has never happened in a show like this, aka an episodic cop show lol and considering all that I want to get as much use out of this ship as I possibly can. I’ve semi re-branded... lol not really but I just... love them so much omg

7. Why did you choose your header?

I was going with a nice forest/green theme and the icon I had before matched too. Trees with fog is a big vibe always (twilight vibes okay there! I said it)

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

umm oh probably my Din fic which I’m still very proud... you can find it here 😉 hehe

9. How many mutual do you have?

50+ but some are quiteeee old and inactive! I’m so lucky to have so many friends as my mutuals I love y’all w my whole heart!!! Shout out to the ones who’ve been here for like 10 years now though heh, like @accio-alan-rickman @queensoybean @virtual-tonks :p

a humble 350

Nah I’m not cool enough lol

I usually just do one big scroll through my dash every day, so really depends. I’ll check here and there throughout the day too

I think I really would, yeah. I don’t do them though because I just wouldn’t get them haha

Oh, there’s a good handful! I love that for them though. They’re mostly all writers and funny fandom accounts

If you mean, ‘I desperately want to be friends with this person but will likely never actually talk to them - just admire from afar’, then yes!! There’s one or two hehe

(Note: Cielito is a reader-insert character and written without physical attributes, so you can picture her however you want. Cielito is you! This is just one version where I used myself as a reference simply to be self-indulgent because I wish I was her. 😭😭😭)

“Hi,” he said and just hearing his voice had excitement pooling in your belly.

“Hi,” you replied, almost breathlessly.

You both stared at each other for a second, drinking in one another, before Javi was clearing his throat, looking away. “These are for you,” he said, holding the flowers out for you to grab.

“They’re gorgeous,” you said, taking them. “I have to say, you’re really excelling at this dating thing.”

He gave you a sheepish smile, one of his hands resting on his hip. “My old partner would always pick up a bouquet of fresh flowers for his wife before their dates, and they’ve been together forever—thought he might be onto something.” He leaned forward slightly. “Don’t tell him I said that, though,” he said conspiratorially, ending the sentence with a wink.

You laughed. “Your secret is safe with me.” You opened the door wide, moving to the side. “Come inside while I put these in some water.”

Mari was truly wonderful to work with, and it was honestly such a lovely experience. I can’t recommend her enough! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much, Mari, for bringing this to life. I stare at it like 😍😍😍.
