🍸 Ale for Aaron Hotchner - send me a character + a scenario/au and i'll tell you some headcanons i have!

Spencer had been the first to know when Hugo had passed.

Hugo was your 17-year-old brown tabby cat, who'd been with you since you were a kid.

When you moved out on your own, your parents had even let you take him with you, seeing as they knew he was your best friend, above any human.

And Spencer knew this fact. One of the first things that was established when he asked you to be his girlfriend was that Hugo was the sole most important thing in your life. He was like your child, almost like your soulmate (if cats could have soulmates)

So when you called him, your voice thick with tears, and said, "Hugo's gone," his heart began to ache along with yours.

He became a little extra clingy in the weeks that followed Hugo's death, his silent way of telling you he was right there if and when you needed him.

You slowly eased into your new routine, though life didn't get any easier when you came home and spotted his old toys sticking out from underneath the sofa or when you remembered his food bowl in the corner of the kitchen.

Little did you know, Spencer had the perfect idea to cheer you up.

He'd been in talks with Penelope and Emily to see if Sergio's breeder had any kittens available, and when the breeder finally contacted Spencer, his heart nearly melted when he found out there was one left.

It turned out to be a little girl, pitch black with tiny, white paws and the smallest patch of white on her belly, and green eyes that rivaled an emerald.

He nearly begged you to let him and Penelope come over after work that day. You can't say you didn't have your suspicions on why he was so adamant about both of them visiting that night, but you reluctantly agreed, nearly sobbing as you cleaned up the last of Hugo's things before they arrived.

Penelope drove, leaving Spencer to hold the kitten, the pink blanket he'd bought for her nearly swallowing the tiny thing.

The two made their way into your apartment, and as soon as you spotted the bundle in Spencer's arms, you knew.

That son of a bitch (affectionate)

Soft mews sounded from the blanket as her head popped up, her eyes landing directly on you.

Spencer nearly cried when he saw you crack a smile for the first time in a month.

You took the tiny kitten from his hands, nuzzling her against your chest.

"She's so little!" you squeaked, rubbing tiny circles on her back with the pad of your thumb.

He nodded. "She's the runt so she'll most likely always be on the smaller side," he told you.

"What do you wanna name her?"

His cheeks lit up. "Me?"

"Yeah. She's gonna be yours too. We'll co-parent. Better yet, we'll just move in together and share her all the time."

Spencer couldn't say he hadn't thought about it. He loved the idea of waking up next to you, the kitten curled up at the foot of the bed.

"Well, what were you thinking?" he asked, scratching at the nape of his neck.

"Hmmm, maybe something similar to Hugo? In honor of him?"

He racked his brain for ideas, but nothing seemed accurate. Harriette? Helena? Some other fancy name that starts with H?

But then, it clicked. All of his PhDs and years of training had finally paid off.

"Well, Hugo means intelligent. We could give her a name that means the same as his name."

The room stayed silent as the both of you thought, though you weren't too familiar with many names that had that meaning.

"Ooh, I got one!" Penelope squealed, a smile overtaking her lips. "Ramona! It means wise!"

"Do I wanna know-" Spencer started.

"Look, I have a lot of free time. I like to look up what our unsubs names mean to know how truly cursed they are."

You both giggled at her explanation before looking back down at the tiny bundle of raven-colored fur in your hands.

"Do you like that name? Ramona?" you cooed, scratching at her chin.

She purred, the first Spencer had heard since they'd picked her up from the breeder.

"I think that's a yes," he smiled.

Really Boston? Someone films you without your consent and you’re rightly upset about it, but you have no problem doing the same thing to your friends.

I've said it before, but this tension between Sand and Top is a lot, even for stealing an ex. There are six episodes left and I really hope we get more background for them because it still feels like there is more going on. I need to know! (Also, put First and Force in another show together please and thank you GMMTV. They play off of each other so well.)

I know that Top and Mew are likely not going to make it (for a variety of reasons) but I sure wish they would. I like their relationship progression.

ugh Boston you suck (can't wait to go back through my notes when the show is over and count up how many times I wrote that LOL)

The awkward truth-bomb speech yikes. Why is no one stopping Ray instead of standing around waiting for whatever else he’s going to say? Plot reasons make things so stupid sometimes.

That was really well done. Mew seducing Top with the express purpose of revealing he knows Top slept with Ton was so gross but such soapy goodness. It's right up there with Aaron telling Chrissie about the affair*. Top tier entertainment.

But then the writers did the 'suffer in silence' thing that I absolutely hate where the person who did wrong is not allowed to speak or explain what actually happened (because facts and talking things out like adults resolves arguments faster). In this case, yes Top slept with Ton and he's letting Mew speak his piece about it, but Mew’s assumptions about the reasons why are way off base and Top isn’t even defending himself which only confirms everything Mew is thinking. And like I said, I know why they do it - it’s the last scene in the episode so they want viewers to come back and find out what happens next. But as a viewer, I hate watching it when the scene is unlikely to be continued in the next episode. At best, we'll get flashbacks to more of their conversation.

next week’s preview??!?!?!! - Mew lost his serial killer glasses but that obviously didn’t mean anything, based on the last shot. Or else the editing team has seen the "unhinged Mew" posts and are having fun with us.

I know I complain a lot about plot stuff but in reality I'm eating this show up. The only thing that would make it better would be a murder plot, but I have a feeling this is not that show.

Atom don’t mind the soup pot it normally smacks against your head

Here we are again for the third pre only friends day in a row where I have to spend my Friday talking about my least favorite little shithead Atom. Because he’s in the preview for the episode so… we need to talk about his decisions and what it could mean for BostonNick because this is my calling in life.

So let’s discuss. I think Atom and Boston are genuinely friends. Boston doesn’t let just anyone talk to him at a bar. Usually he has to go so he can pick someone up. But this is Atom his best friends brother Cheum confirms this by saying if Atom won’t talk to her to talk to Boston. He has helped Atom in the past. Using him to get away from Nick was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up because he was hurting so badly. But Atom the smug bastard is ready to make a move on Boston someone he admired. Meanwhile I think Boston was planning on taking someone anyone home as evidence by Nicks photo being missing from his wall again in the dark room. So when he leaves the party he’s disappointed he had to see Nick again (when Nick came to get Sand) and he confronted with Ray and Mew’s selfish behavior and he didn’t even get to bring someone home. Until atom offers himself up on a plate.

I feel like he’s wanted this to happen from the bar scene. This isn’t a last minute ooo I have opportunity. He is literally also dressed as Brad Pitt.

Atom leaves their trist with a false impression that he was super seductive to Boston. That Boston enjoyed their session so much of course it’d happen again. Now Boston WAS DEFINITELY WRONG FOR NOT TEXTING ATOM. We also don’t know how much time has past time in only friends is subjective. However Boston made it clear over and over he only does sex. If atom has been about Boston for 4 years at this point idk how he won’t know this. So Atom genuinely thought he was special. This is why Boston’s “your not in my league” comment cut so incredibly deep. Maybe Atom thought eventually Boston would return to him? But when that’s proven false he sulks even worse than if he’d been broken up with. Skipping work. Staying out late drunk. He’s debating his sexuality and mourning the loss of being attractive to the person he likes. I think he wanted to humble Boston make him regret not desiring Atom because Atom is a selfish POS. Maybe Boston would talk to him again if Atom ruins his life? (Ha I don’t think that’s his intention) what hurts me the most about Atoms fake confession is him saying twice he’s so embarrassed.

He knows he is fucking wrong. He knows he’s being evil. So why the hell am I going to see him again in the same place as BostonNick. There is nothing he can do to redeem his character. I suppose he is going to try to get between Nick and Boston but my baby boy Nick has sharp stalker teeth and I’m hoping he won’t buy Atom’s bullshit. What I’m more worried about is Boston believing what Atom is going to say. He’s trying to be more empathetic but Aaron deserves 0 sympathy. Yes I’m all for finding yourself in your own time but don’t weaponize your journey.

Ugh I hope I don’t have to talk about him again. But we all know that won’t happen.

You know, in the switch AU, is pikachu the chosen one? or continue being ash? because i imagine all the anime movies where ash has to save everyone but imagine in this au when pokemon come for the chosen one, trainers expect to take, well pikachu, the trainer, but instead, they take the pikachu xd. Also, how is lukario of the movie the tree of life? when he sees a pikachu has the same aura that sir Aaron?

I have the personal headcanon that neither of them are the Chosen One alone

That the "Chosen One" is just some fancy shmancy title but the reality of it is that their are two (sometimes more) chosens at any given time, making them half of a whole.

Sir Aaron was definitely a Chosen Half, where Lucario was his other. And the only reason he died was because he didnt have his partner with him while saving Mew.

So Ash and Pikachu are the Chosen ones, both halves of a whole, which is why crazy shit only truly started happening after the duo united for the first time. Hence, Ho-oh.

Of course, this is just my personal headcanon XD its why you can never have one without the other.

hi i read in one of your posts that you think quite a few of the sacred stones voices was miscast. do you have anyone in mind that you think would better for them (esp. for ephraim. everytime i hear him my brain can't help but goes lukas???)

also, any thought on saleh's VA?

Yes, if I had to pick a replacement for Ephraim, here’s what I think:

Aleks Le. I know he already plays Jorge but I feel like he’s a pretty expressive VA with the right range.

Jason Griffith. I know everyone thinks about the goofy Sonic voice but he’s got a nice in-between voice that he used as Sir Aaron in Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. It could work for Ephraim.

Todd Haberkorn. Again Todd’s amazing as an actor but whoever did the voice directing really screwed him over.

As for the others, I may have to address them in a reblog because out of the list I had (Ephraim, Seth, Valter, Marisa, Duessel, Ewan) there’s some that I can’t exactly remember WHY I said they were miscast, like Valter and Seth. Especially because with Valter, I love Imari Williams as Benny and Fuga. So uhhhh let me reblog this later while I try to remember what it was that bugged me about their voices.

But ANYWHO, let’s get to Saleh. And I have to 100% admit I didn’t even know what his voice sounded like because I just… did not like the artwork. I’ve already stated my issues with that artist so I won’t go into it. So I just gave it a listen and honestly, his voice is really nice to listen to. It looks like he’s voiced by Kamran R. Khan, and also looks like that’s been Kamran’s ONLY VA role so far.

So, I think his performance as Saleh is great, his voice is calm but he has a warm and friendly tone that you can hear in his lines. That paired with his hesitation about his outfit is just really adorable. Kind of makes me sad now that we didn’t get Saleh on the Sacred Stones banner.

I think this is a good voice, also a lesser known VA who really fits so bonus points for that! I like hearing familiar VAs but it’s nice to see other VAs too.

Can’t really talk about range, so uhhhh… not much to say on that matter, lol.

I can’t really give a number rating since this is his one and only role, but I will say that I think he’s a great pick for Saleh and he goes on the list of Sacred Stones VAs I’m happy with.

Off-Screen Event: Final Battle Pt. 3

(Music Box: Final Boss Theme from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet)

Mare and Kyoshi were not having nearly as much luck with the Iron Valiant. It was clearly the superior swordfighter, having them both on the ropes. What’s more, Kazoku was too weakened to help. He couldn’t even summon the strength to Mega Evolve.

Eventually, things came to a head. In one swift movement, the Iron Valiant disarmed Mare and shattered Kyoshi’s bone staff, knocking her to the ground in the process. Mare shot around to see where Kusanagi had landed. She was buried up to her blades in the ground, clearly fainted. This momentary distraction gave the Iron Valiant enough time to kick her away.

It didn’t bother following up on this, however. Instead it turned to Kyoshi. It was unclear why. Maybe it was programmed to prioritize Pokemon or maybe it simply recognized it could hurt Mare more by attacking her friend. It didn’t really matter. The Iron Valiant brought its blade down onto Kyoshi… except it didn’t. Mare blocked it.

How she was blocking it she had no idea. By all accounts her hands should have been sliced into sausages. But she was blocking it.

“I! Won’t! Let! You! Hurt! My! Friend!” Mare shouted, shoving the Iron Valiant away.

Kyoshi stood up. “ Mare, my pupil, my student, my friend. Do you feel it?”

“I do.” Mare affirmed. “It’s like a whole new Aura is flowing through me. Stronger than anything I’ve ever felt.”

“I think that this is the power Sir Aaron was talking about.” Kyoshi said.

“The power forged from the bond between us.” Mare completed. “So, wanna take it for a test drive?”

“Do you even have to ask?” Kyoshi said.

Both of them glowed with power unlike anything seen before and they began to transform. Kyoshi’s fur turned from blue to red. White Rayquaza markings appeared on her arms and legs in the exact same locations as Mare’s scars. Her feelers became ribbon-like, all red except for a white band.

Mare, meanwhile, grew blue fur on her arms and legs. Spikes appeared on the back of her hands. A pair of blue ears sprouted on her head and her hair turned blue. Her eyes changed from gray to red, more resembling a Mega Lucario’s than a human’s.

“Let’s go! Full power!” Mare and Kyoshi shouted together.

They charged at the Iron Valiant, hitting it at lightning speed. And then they did it again and again, pulling off sick combo moves. It couldn’t fight back, they didn’t give it a chance.

Extreme Speed comboing into Bone Rush. Aura Sphere Baseball (thanks, Serene). Mare even finally learned Close Combat. It was more one-sided than Rayquaza vs Groudon and Kyogre.

Finally, they finished off with a massive Aura combined Aura Sphere, engulfing the Iron Valiant. When the dust cleared, it was on the ground, fainted.

Mare and Kyoshi transformed, returning to their original looks. They gave each other a high five.

(Music Box: None)

J, who was still busy fighting Team Rocket while trying to stay in the air with only one wing, looked over to see that both her Pokemon had been defeated.

“Son of a bitch!” She cursed.

“Hah.” Jessie laughed. “Looks like you’re out of tricks. Just give up.” J growled. “Fine. You can have your Mew. But I’m not out of tricks.”

She pressed a button on her gauntlet and everything exploded. During her fight with Regice and Registeel she had planted bombs all over the tree, just in case. This was a “just in case” scenario.

J recalled her two fallen Pokemon and pressed another button on her gauntlet. Her jetpack went into overdrive, speeding her out of there before she anybody could catch her. With not much else to do the TRio flew down to the ground to meet up with the twerps.

“What do we do!” James shouted.

“I say we book it!” Meowth said.

“Seconded.” Jessie added.

“We can’t.” Riley said. “This tree is connected to the lifeforce of every being in Kanto and Johto. If it dies there could be disastrous consequences.”

“So?” Meowth asked, holding onto the case with Mew in it. “What are we supposed tuh do about it? We're just small time crooks. Yuh tink about dat, smart guy?”

“Mew.” Kazoku said. “Free Mew and it can… restore the tree.”

“Oh! Yes, of course!” James said. “Meowth, give it here!”

The three Team Rocket members fiddled with the case for a bit. Eventually, Mare lost patience and grabbed it out of their hands before smashing it. Slowly, Mew unfroze. It looked around blearily before noticing the fire.

“Mew!” It shouted in distress.

Kazoku stood up slowly and limped over to Mew. “Mew, Ancestor to all Pokemon, please use your power to restore this Tree.” Mew shook its head. “Mew! Mew!”

“What’s it saying?” Mare asked. “I can’t understand it.” This was very distressing to her but she’d have to figure it out later.

“It does not have the power to heal the tree.” Kazoku said.

“So we’re doomed?” James asked.

Kazoku shook his head. “No. If I sacrifice my power then it will have enough.” “But… you’ll die.” Riley pointed out.

Kazoku chuckled. “I was supposed to die a long time ago. Now, all of you, stand back.”

(Music Box: Aaron’s Theme ~ Farewell Lucario from Lucario and the Mystery of Mew)

They all did so. Kazoku held out his hands in front of Mew. He closed his eyes as a sphere of Aura appeared at the end of his arms. The sphere grew larger and larger, as it did Kazoku changed. He seemed to grow coattails and a hat resembling Sir Aaron. The shape of the pin on Sir Aaron's hat emblazoned his shoulders. Eventually, the sphere engulfed both Kazoku and Mew. The swirling Pink of Mew mixed with the blue of the Aura.

Aaron. Kazoku thought to himself. We will be reunited soon.

The ball of energy exploded upwards and covered the entire tree. Not just that, but for a brief second it spread over all of Kanto. And when the light cleared and everybody could see again… the tree appeared as if it had never been burning at all. The injuries of everybody present were healed completely. And Mew and Kazoku had vanished. So ends this chapter of the Legend of Sir Aaron and his loyal Lucario friend Kazoku.

It's Worldbuilding Time!

The first thing to explain are aura stones. These incredibly rare rocks feel alive and, to the special vision of an aura user, glow as brightly as their own life-force.

(Actually, all evolutionary stones qualify. The reason these work on certain pokemon the way they do is because of aura resonance!)

The rarest of all these stones are known as aura crystals.

The Tree of Beginning is the largest formation of them that still exists, though (according to legends, anyway) Mt. Silver once had a large quantity of them as well, in the days when the Guardians first built their stronghold there. Countless eruptions in ages past had drawn them up from the depths of the Earth.

The Guardians also believed all of these stones and crystals bore traces of Earth's own aura --- the life-force of the planet itself!

Most of the tools used by the Guardians were forged from these special aura crystals found around Mt. Silver. The exact techniques of this craft were always known only to a select few, and even by Sir Aaron's time had mostly been forgotten and lost.

These artifacts share some common traits and abilities, but each one also has some unique characteristics and powers. To start with the common traits, though:

ALL aura crystals can focus, augment, and store aural power, with the size and purity of the crystal directly influencing the functionality. This means every artifact is able to help an aura user cast their own abilities (both offensively and defensively!) and can be used to store excessive aural energy for later use.

This is also why no single artifact is truly "offensive" or "defensive" in nature: Aaron's gloves qualify as armor, first and foremost, but they also allow him to focus his energy into Aura Spheres with great ease. Likewise, Alan's dagger is primarily a weapon, but he often draws upon the power stored within it to put up shields and heal people.

As for Aaron's staff, though... That is a very interesting artifact!

The crystal it bears is both large and practically flawless, allowing it to direct and store massive amounts of aural energy. The metal cage built around it is also made of a special steel that channels power, so the little pieces that dangle off the sides function very similarly to the appendages borne by Riolu and Lucario.

Aaron primarily used it to store energy and cast large shields, but by working closely with the Mew that lives in the Tree of Beginnings he learned of a potential "extra" function that could be performed by the largest, purest crystals: the ability to completely absorb, contain, and preserve a living being.

The first and only time he ever attempted this with his staff was when he wanted to save the life of his dear friend and apprentice, Lucario. At that point, Sir Aaron had already used up most of the energy he'd stored in his staff defending Rota, and knew it would be little help to him on his final mission.

(One final important note: the staff had enough potential for misuse that it was entrusted only to the most trusted individuals... which is one reason the elders decided to let it remain in Rota, where no one fully understood what it was capable of.)

-he was at his apartment with Kyle. Said there is no emergency. He didn’t know why Kyle labeled it like that. (I thought he was going to end Patreon tbh so I’m glad it wasn’t anything serious)

-said someone that’s sort of in his crew hooked up with Ryan’s ex (that we saw at Coachella). He said he wouldn’t name them but if the chat guessed he’d say. People guessed Aaron, Steven, Jeff said no. A bunch of people said Cody and then Jeff stopped responding and moved on. I wonder how Cody met her if she doesn’t live in LA? That’s weird because she’s early 20s and Cody is 36 so yikes.

-said he was leaving Friday morning

-Oscar got engaged

-has 1,500 emails about the dating show. Feels stressed and anxious about it. Said he might get someone else to sort through them. **I think he rushed into this idea because he’s desperate to have a girlfriend and now he’s freaking out about it. He shouldn’t jump head first into things without actually having some thought behind them

-one of his goals for 2024 is the cuss less on the pod

-someone asked what his team did this year that made him proud. He said Oscar losing the Bruce episode 🙄 that even though it was tough it was a reset for the team.

-Oscar now handles only the pod, Kyle handles the main channel and Patreon, Iban oversees everything

-said Jeffrey Shore was a fun series **he was attacked and disrespected the entire trip by Tana and Imari so big yikes!!!

-said Aaron helps with clips and editing. Oscar wants to create a podcast network and produce other podcasts. Jeff isn’t interested in having a network (he’s said in a live or somewhere before that he did want to have a network so see what I mean about how fast he changes his mind? He said before that they could create a network that has Tana, Mike, and maybe a show from Ryan and Steven…now he has zero interest in doing that)

-doesn’t want his content to be PG. wants to post consistently on main channel and pod channel. Said pod channel still makes a lot more money than main channel (that surprises me because they leave in a lot of inappropriate things that I would think would get him age restricted. I’m surprised sponsors have any interest in the pod with how it’s been going)

-said he was insecure about getting guests after the Bruce issue (yeah we could tell 🙄) but they’re back in a good place. They have multiple back ups so an episode shouldn’t get deleted again.

-someone asked again about Vince and the shooting at his house. Jeff said he heard about it and is glad he’s ok but he hasn’t talked to Vince in a long time and they aren’t friends anymore. didn’t want to go into it but seemed very hurt. **people need to stop asking about Vince. It’s obviously a sore subject and bothers Jeff when he’s asked about it. He lost a longtime friend to David and the VS, I understand his hurt about that.

-talked about hanging with The Nelk Boys. Said they’re nice but likes their managers more. Needs older, positive connections in his life **he should get away from Tana and her teenage friends then

Overall, he was in a good mood and was really wanting to get this recap vlog done. Said they had been dealing with life things so that's why they were slacking on Patreon. he also said he doesn't know how much longer he can use that excuse for.

Even at my ripe old age, I can still catch Pokemon Fever (do they even still call it that?). While replaying all the Pokemon games I have for Switch (basically all of them except for Legends), I was getting nostalgic for the AniPoke side of things, especially after watching these neat retrospectives of the anime by Jordan Fringe on YouTube. He even talks about the movies, which really sparked my interest.

Did you know Amazon Prime Video has a Pokemon channel? For like $3 a month (or a free one week trial) you can watch, like, 10 Pokemon movies and some of the series. Honestly, aside from a few gems, it's not really worth it. I watched a few while on vacation at work to see what I've been missing since stepping away from the anime for such a long time. Pretty hit and miss, but I liked what I saw.

Oh, and slight SPOILER WARNING, I guess (Diancie, Lucario, Giratina).

The first one I saw was Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. I mainly wanted to see this one so I could finally know how to properly pronounce Yveltal, one of my favorite Pokemon. Ee-vell-tahl. There ya go. Anyway, aside from that bit of info, I wasn't too into this one. The plot revolved around Ash and friends getting wrapped up in a plot between two (or three?) different parties going after Diancie for...some reason. Kinda missed why. There were cute Carbink butlers in it and such, but this really didn't do much for me. I couldn't get attached to the characters because they had zero development throughout the thing, even though clearly there was something going on between Greninja guy and Delphox lady (which gets cleared up post-credits...I guess). Also it was at this point of the series where I completely checked out, so I don't know much about Ash's X/Y friends. I dunno, they seem nice. With characters I don't know or care about and my disconnect with this part of the series, I couldn't get too into this one. It was fine, but nothing too memorable for me.

Although I will say it felt a little odd hearing the Carbink say "Princess Diancie." They knew what they were doing there.

The next one was Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. Quite a step backwards, but after hearing the current voices of the anime, I got nostalgic for the good ol' 4kids actors. Say what you will about 4kids (and you're definitely right) but they did Pokemon very well, especially as the series went on. This movie didn't disappoint in that regard, as all the main character voices are well in their prime during this one...it was so nice to hear them again. Though the guy who did Prince Aaron's voice wasn't really at the top of his game in terms of actual acting. He sounded stilted and just plain weird throughout his entire performance. But then again, he was always like that in all of his performances. He used a pseudonym in the voice credits, so I'm guessing even he didn't like what he did here. I'm onto you "J. Grif." A Sonic The Hedgehog fan never forgets.

But anyway, this movie was far more enjoyable than the Diancie one, and not even because of the nostalgia factor. The production values in this movie seemed higher than Diancie, and the writing was more engaging, too. Plus Mew is in it; everyone likes Mew. Plus you got Sean Schemmel voicing Lucario, who naturally does a good anime voice job. Couldn't really sense any Goku in his Lucario voice, but I guess I don't have to. I GUESS. At any rate, this one was a fun one. I recommend it.

Lastly, for now at least, I watched Giratina and the Sky Warrior. I'm guessing this was a "part 2" of a movie-centric narrative involving the Gen 4 box legendaries, so a few details went over my head. It didn't seem necessary to know all the details to follow what was going on here, though. It was nice to see Dawn's Piplup again; I forgot about how lovable that sassy little bugger is. Speaking of, I really like Shaymin in this movie. They're just full of beans throughout the entire movie, being super snooty and giving Ash the business constantly. I'd probably get annoyed by this thing if it stayed with the series, but as a movie-only character, Shaymin was pretty fun. Well worth the watch just for them.

There was one disappointment in this movie, though, but more on a personal level: I really only wanted to see this movie because I saw it had Regigigas in it. I thought I'd be able to hear his stupid fun scratched-CD-sounding-ass robot voice in it, but...no. I mean Regigigas was in the movie, but 1.) only had a bit part and B.) had a relatively "normal" voice. Lame. Apparently it was the Hoopa movie I was after for that incredible performance. That one's gonna be next...as well as the Arceus movie, because I vaguely remember them giving Arceus a fucking dorky weiner voice. You know, the proper voice for God Almighty. lol

Better get more of these B-level Pokemon movies in before I'm burnt out on the franchise again (and before my free week trial is over).

Sakuya: What about cracking open a cold milkshake?

Blanche: As we all know, the milkshake brings the boys to the yard. The presence of the boys is a prerequisite for the cracking open of a cold one, but cold ones do not have any inherent boy-attracting abilities. Milkshakes, however, do.

Blanche: All else being equal, the boys would proceed to the milkshake yard. While it is possible to announce the presence of cold ones in the hope of attracting some boys, the pull of the milkshake is much more powerful by comparison.

Spark: ...

Candela: ...

Altair: ...

Sakuya: ...

Blanche: Mind you, all of this nonsense hinges on whether or not the boys are back in town.
