Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
I didn't know predstrogen or her blog but that doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to you. if they came for her they will come for you. if you're not trans they will come for you when they're done with them.
hate doesn't start and end with one target, it morphs and amalgamates until no one is safe, and it lashes out a lot.
upsetting that its not socially acceptable to climb over shit. if i wanna climb through the window when they call my name at the coffee shop i should be allowed to.
crazy situation right now where the ceo of the joke website gets joked about and explodes. justice for prodstrogen and nebulaaaaaa and all the others who got wrongfully banned because the ceo is insecure about the tiny inverted, atrophied raisin he thinks should dictate his and our identity
i love Tumblr bc its like just having your own apartment. personal echo chamber. came from reddit where i could scarcely have conversation or say anything i want and everything that caught traction had to be a meme or trendy or some shit. twitter is the closest to this feeling but anything you say over there is so scrutinized. i can say anything here and anyone who calls me out has to come into my house and face my baseball bat
i fucking love jumblr. unparalleled joy in seeing a community of people on social media dunk on the idiots and psyops on this website. literally i go on jumblr and i have to restrain myself from reblogging everything bc i dont want my page to be entirely political but also fuck you its so good
good writing is making your main character the most abhorrent person ever written and still get people to question their anti-hero motives and whether they were actually in the wrong
this is, as all other things, a spectrum that starts with harry dubois and ends with paul atreides
i feel like the common consensus of tourists visiting the US is just 'big', to the point it kind of turned into a joke even for americans. but i dont think americans will ever really grasp the awe/horror realization of people from small countries that our entire homeland can be fit like a puzzle piece in a single american landscape and not even make a difference
i think the thing i hate most about twitter even though i dont use it is the inherent risk that if you get popular enough or post a funny enough meme, elon musk may try to initiate a conversation or reply with 'LOL XD 🤪😵💫🤣'
tumblr should add a function like the downvote but only to make numbers round. see a post on 101? downvote it and make it even. introduces new pvp feature where a bunch of people sit around downvoting every time a post breaches roundness
thing i hate most on the internet is the way people talk about art. i remember back in the day when i was watching steven universe critics and a lot of the critique was like "characters change in size inconsistently frame to frame, there's weird poses, its very unprofessional" , or generally i guess people behave when anything drawn is posted. a good example I think is Lore Olympus, if anyone even remembers that, and how the critic community has basically torn it apart for a barrage of valid reasons, and then started attacking the art.
"rachel cant be asked to be [insert idea of good art], rachel doesnt care enough to [difficult technique who's difficulty may be amplified by the artstyle of the artist]. The color theory is all wrong, the lines, the sizes, faces, hair, proportions," etc.
and i was sitting there basically like that comic of the insult deflecting back at me off the art itself, which does not care but the regular people seeing the critique will now suddenly feel like there are eyes watching for mistakes in their art, and in turn their own eyes become more critical. they will watch out for every mistake.
