Welcome to HYDRA -- Stranger Things x Marvel Crossover || Chapter 3 - What we know
Summary: Keira and Hopper finally start talking about Hawkings and Keira introduces an unsuspecting ally. . . who appears to be somebody they should be fighting against.
Warnings: None
[ Chapter 1 ] - [ Chapter 2 ] - [ Current Chapter ] - [ Chapter 4 ] - [ Chapter 5 ]
Not long after Keira asked Hopper to start explaining what he knew about the mystical threat, the guards concluded the day. Surprisingly, they hadn’t noticed that she and him had disappeared. Though, they did question why she was last in line — her reasoning was because of her limp,  which they had somehow bought.
After a couple of minutes they had all returned to the cell, back to the same old floor they had grown used to.
Keira plopped herself beside Hopper, groaning as she let go of the simple spell she put over her body, the spiking pain returned to rush throughout her body. “Right. . . so, tell me what you know about . . . uh, what’s it called again?”
“The Upside Down.” He answered, “the kids named it that after a Dungeons and Dragons game. It’s a version of our world that is plunged into darkness, filled with creatures. I still don’t know what to make of this, but it’s dangerous. There is this kid named ‘Eleven’, we call her ‘El,’ who can move stuff with her mind. She has the ability to communicate with people with her mind too. . . I don’t fully understand it myself, but she has helped us with this before. There was a rift that allowed those creatures into our world, which eventually was closed by El. . . Then it was reopened after a few years by the Russians. We closed it not too long ago, which led me here.”
There were many dimensions Keira was familiar with. The Dark Dimension, The Mirror Dimension, the Noor dimension and even the gap junction that allowed you to travel across the multiverse; she has had some experience with the multiverse, but never once had she ever heard of a world existing in our world that seemed like a copy. And a kid that had telekinesis and telepathy? That sounded fucked up.
Was HYDRA behind that too?
Keira rubbed her face with her healthy hand, letting out a prolonged groan. “God Wong is going to kill me if he hears about this.”
“Wong?”
“Oh, he’s an important member of the Mystic Arts.  He’s something we call, ‘The Sorcerer Supreme.’ He’s in charge of protecting the world and keeping us all safe from mystical threats. . . but something like this has never been detected.” She looked at Hopper, “we need to get the hell out of here if there is another threat that we haven’t heard of.”
Hopper nodded, “I’m glad you agree. Thank you for saving those kids. They will definitely want to thank you.” He smiled. It was a genuine smile.
“It’s my job to protect people.”
“So do you have a plan to get out of here?” Hopper asked Keira, glancing around for any way of leaving.
“I do.” Keira gestured behind her. “I’ve been planning it for a while. See that guard near the office? He has taken something that will get us the hell out of here. It’s something called a ‘Sling-Ring.’ It lets me create portals; If I get that, I can create a portal home.”
Hopper seemed unsure of the plan. He looked behind her and looked at the guard she gestured towards. In his hand they had a golden bracket across their fingers. That was seriously her plan? Couldn’t they just shoot their way out? Find a vent and climb out of the base?
He shook his head. “How would you even get that. . . sling–thing? They’ll kill you on site.”
Keira glanced over at the guard. “There is one guard I have befriended, who has been looking for ways to get me out. His name is Dimitri.” She explained, “he has been keeping guards off my back, and actually helped give us privacy when we were talking before. He works in the shadows.”
Just as she finished talking, a guard approached the cell door. He wore a signature Russian hat with a clean-shaven face; unlike the other guards, this guard had a much calmer demeanour, having a much more welcoming personality. Or maybe it was because Keira had seen them so often.
The guard opened the cell and gestured to Keira and Hopper, waving them over with his finger. “American and Girl, come here.” His accent came on thick, much harder to understand than the other Russians, however he was much more fluent.
Keira approached the guard with the help of Hopper who held her up, letting her use him as a walking crutch.
“Dimitri.” Keira gave a slight smile, “how’s the kids?”
“They’re growing older and older each day. They’ll be teenagers in no time.” He grinned then gestured to the side, “they have much better odds stealing food from the kitchen than you getting that golden thing.”
“What are the odds?” Hopper asked.
“100,000 to 1.” He glanced at Hopper, “with the American, I’d say 10,000 to 1.”
The odds of getting the sling-ring and any other items the Russians had stolen off Keira were pretty low; to be fair, she had much lower odds than this in another HYDRA base. The odds weren’t in her favour, and with her sprained ankle in the mix, along with her other wounds that weren’t healing well, she was likely to die being a hero.
“With those injuries, you’d be lucky to make it outside.” Dimitri mocked, a humorous chuckle came from him. “You’re insane.”
“I’m insane for even wanting to do this in the first place. Just take me to a room where I can be alone. . . get me something that has and sort of patterns on it; or music.” Keira asked, looking at Dimitri.
“What for?”
“If we are unable to retrieve the sling-ring, then my only other option is to communicate with my people, and that requires me to be alone. Also, it gives off a lot of light and attention.”
Dimitri nodded. “If an insane magic girl wants a dark room, a dark room she shall have.”

Instead of Dr Strange putting Loki on the Dangerous list, what if he put Loki on the 'People that need therapy' list. Thor 3, portals Loki to the Sanctum and gives him tea while they wait for Thor.
Thor shows up on guard and finds Loki and Strange drinking tea and talking. Strange agrees to find Odin for Thor on the condition that Loki stays in the Sanctum and gets therapy.

that endgame deleted scene is killing me, so here’s a (not great but) wholesome ironstrange short to combat it:
“This feels like a betrayal. I miss him, I want to be with him again.”
“Then I think it’s time we make that happen.”
“You’re serious?”
“FRIDAY, activate the ‘on the mend’ protocol, please. And yes, I’m serious; it’s time.”
++++
Wong was rudely interrupted from his mystery novel by frantic knocking at the Sanctum’s door.
“Strange, I’m in the middle of a chapter! Get the door please.”
“No.” Stephen’s broken voice called quietly across the house.
“Ugh, fine, but don’t get mad when I give you a full synopsis of what I just read.” Wong had recently gotten into mystery stories. The idea of detective work appealed to him, and it was different enough from his sorcerer duties that he could immerse himself in them when he needed a break.
After putting his book down, he opened the door to see a flustered James Rhodes.
“Is it time?”
“Yep.”
Wong smiled. “You’d better come in, then.”
Rhodey followed Wong inside and took a deep breath. This was a good thing. Stephen was probably going to be pissed, but not for long.
“Would you like anything to drink?” Wong offered.
“Decaf coffee, if you have it,” Rhodey replied. “Thank you.”
“Of course. I hope you didn’t have any difficulties getting here, I understand that the traffic can be a mess when you don’t have the luxury of traveling by portals,” Wong said.
“You seem to have forgotten that I can, in fact, fly. Thanks to Tony, of course,” Rhodey replied.
The entire vibe of the conversation and the building itself changed when Rhodey uttered his best friend’s name. Something felt lighter, and it probably had to do with what was about to happen. It probably had to do with the gentle footfalls that could be heard in the near horizon.
“Rhodey?”
++++
“What I’m about to say is going to be out of character for me, but it’s important; don’t be dramatic about this when you go to see him. Leave the drama to us,” Tony requested, a glimmer in his tired eyes.
“As if I’d ever steal your spotlight,” Rhodey teased. “How do you even know there’s going to be drama?”
“Silly question, Platypus. You know how we are. Plus, you know he’s hurting,” Tony replied. He became very sad, suddenly, and a few tears made their way to his eyes.
++++
Wong quickly hurried out of the room, muttering something about having to check on a relic. In reality, the librarian made a beeline for the living room, picked up his book, and began to discreetly eavesdrop on the conversation in the kitchen.
“How’ve you been?”
Stephen didn’t know how to answer such a stupid question, and he informed Rhodey of that fact.
“Okay, valid point,” Rhodey replied. “But seriously, have you been doing okay?”
“I’ve been keeping myself busy. The trait of working past the point of exhaustion has transferred itself to me, I suppose. I just have to keep going and going, lest I allow myself to get absorbed in my memories,” Stephen said.
In truth, he was trying to get over Tony, he really was, but it was hard. He couldn’t stop thinking of the proposal and everything that was going so right before it all went so wrong. He thought of his mistakes, his selfishness, and his selfish mistakes.
“You know that nobody blames you, right? Least of all Tony,” Rhodey began gently.
Stephen scoffed. “How would you know whether he blames me or not?”
“He told me yesterday that he doesn’t,” Rhodey replied.
Wong placed his book to the side so he could watch Stephen’s reaction. He hadn’t known until today that Stark hadn’t actually died. Yes, the power of the infinity stones knocked him unconscious, and he was pronounced legally dead for a few minutes. Stephen had fled immediately after the man stopped breathing. He’d missed the moment when Stark was miraculously resurrected (to this day nobody knew how or why it happened). Obviously his medical condition and chance of survival once we woke up was in some limbo, and that’s why Stephen still didn’t know that he was okay.
“I’m not telling him until I’m absolutely certain that I’m not going to die from this,” Stark had said firmly. “So no one tell him. I’m not going to get his hopes up only to let him down.”
Wong figured that Rhodes was here because it was finally confirmed safe to tell Stephen. Wong could tell from his facial expression that Stephen was confused, maybe a little hurt, but mostly doubtful.
“How can that be?”
“He had me over for dinner last night, and he told me to tell you not to blame yourself,” Rhodey said.
“You’re fucking with me, and I don’t appreciate it,” Stephen snapped. His voice was shaky, but he still held his authority.
“No, Stephen, I’m not,” Rhodey replied. “I’m really not.”
“But he died, FRIDAY said so,” Stephen said, “I don’t believe what you’re saying.”
Rhodey smiled with a twinge of sadness. “I know you don’t. That’s why I’m here to show you that I’m right. Can you open a portal to the lake house?”
Stephen made the portal, stepping through it just before Rhodey did and just after he told Wong where he was going.
As the pair walked towards the house, Stephen turned to Rhodey and said, “You know if you’re wrong about this, there’s a chance I’ll never speak to you again.”
“That wouldn’t surprise me, and I don’t blame you. I’m not too worried about that, though,” Rhodey said. He’d seen movement from inside the house, and he knew that whatever was going to happen next would be sickeningly emotional.
“Why?”
“Because I know I’m not wrong.”
Before Stephen had a chance to reply, the door opened.
“Are you two going to stand out here all day, or are you coming in?”
++++
“I didn’t expect him to pass out.”
“How would you react to the news that your fiancé is miraculously back from the dead?”
“What, are you saying we should call it even now?” Stephen asked, blearily entering the conversation.
“If that’s what you want to call it, sure.”
The hand brushing through his hair felt too soft and familiar. He didn’t know what the hell was going on, but nothing actually felt real. Sure, the sensation of Tony’s hand playing with his hair felt real and soothing, but for all Stephen knew this could have been a dream.
“Anyway,” the voice sounding suspiciously like Tony’s continued, “that’s not funny, Platypus. To answer your question, though, you beat the Titan that caused his death.”
That remark brought Stephen back into the battle against Thanos. He heard the words “I am Iron Man” in his head, he saw Tony die, and he felt his world growing colder as he left the scene through a portal.
“I didn’t say it to be funny, Tones.”
The hand in his hair stilled, and soon Tony (was it Tony? Was it very human-like AI? Stephen didn’t fucking know) was laying down and cuddling up to the sorcerer, just like he used to.
“What the fuck is going on?” Stephen asked. “Rhodey what the fuck?”
“I told you.”
“I don’t understand,” Stephen said. “Tony died, I— I saw it.”
“I don’t quite know what happened. Everyone was gone when I somehow woke up, and I still don’t even know how this was all possible. Once my eyes reopened, though, I figured I’d try and fight through all of the harm I sustained during that battle. I told myself that I wouldn’t tell you I was okay until we were certain I’d fully recover from this. I wasn’t going to get your hopes up for no reason,” Tony explained.
“I don’t know what to say,” Stephen whispered. He gently reached out for one of Tony’s hands. “You’re actually here?”
Tony stood up, much to Stephen’s sadness (he really liked cuddling, sue him). After flashing a soft smile, he said, “Yeah, I really am.”
Stephen sat up. “I should be mad at you.”
“Livid, probably,” Tony said. He was going to stay something else, but before he could, Stephen leapt up and wrapped his arms around him.
He was crying embarrassingly loudly, but he didn’t care. “For the record, I am a bit pissed, but more than anything I’m really happy,” he cried.
Tony just nodded and hugged him back. He wasn’t sure what to say, honestly. In truth, he hated himself a little bit. Was it selfish of him to want to spare Stephen the pain of his coming back to life and then dying because of a failed medical procedure? Maybe it was.
Once he calmed down a little, Stephen smiled mischeviously at Tony.
“What?” The genius asked.
“I’m thinking about all the ways that I can convince you to let me decide on a color scheme for our wedding,” Stephen said mirthfully.
“I thought you picked already!” Rhodey shouted from the kitchen.
“Maybe I’m changing my mind again,” Stephen said. He dropped his voice to a near whisper. “Assuming, of course, that there’s still a wedding to plan now?”
“Of course there is, though I was a bit worried you’d be so mad at me you’d— never mind. I don’t even want to put that thought out there,” Tony said sheepishly.
“Good, don’t. I wouldn’t,” Stephen said. “Not after an emotional response like the one I just had. Not after all we’ve been through. Not after how much I’ve loved and appreciated you, not after how much we’ve both grown.”
“Trying to make me cry, asshole?” Tony asked, drying his eyes.
Stephen pulled him into a hug. “Now we’re even, douchebag.”

A Little Fun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You are the daughter of Doctor Stephen Strange and have been learning the mystic arts from him. When hanging out with your best friend Peter Parker, you decide to have a little fun. (Requested by anon)
Part:1/1
Pairing: Peter x reader (possibly?), Dad!Strange x reader (platonic)
Warnings: none?
Word count: 751
A/N: Hope you enjoy this little imagine/blurb! (If you ever want more parts to any of my fics, feel free to leave comments)
“Daaaaad! Can I hang out with Peter today?” You were wandering around the sanctum searching for your ever so busy sorcerer father.
When rounding the corner, you slam into Wong, knocking the book from his hand. He sighs picking up the novel and grumbling about page numbers.
“You and your father are such a pain in my butt.”
“Sorry Wong. Have you seen him around by any chance?”
He nods toward the library and you're off in a hurry, hoping to catch him. Your father sits cross-legged, levitating with a book mid air in front of him. You sigh in relief.
“Hey dad?”
“Are you finished with your schoolwork?”
“What? Uh, yeah.”
“(Y/N).” He glances up momentarily to shoot you a stern look.
“Yes, yes. All done.”
“You finished your practice?” You nod and he motions for you to demonstrate.
Grabbing your sling ring from your pocket you are quick to assume position and begin opening the portal. The sparks appear and you imagine your bedroom, then a mountainside in Italy.
“Can I hang out with Peter? Please?”
“Alright. Be home before curfew and let me know if you have dinner there.”
You nod and bolt out of the room, excited to plunk Peter. Should you send him to Greece? Nah. Maybe start small. Moving him around the apartment should be fun.
Hiding the ring in your bag you ran down the street to the subway. You hated having to ride the subway but you couldn't risk May seeing you magically pop up in the apartment.
40 minutes later you step into the apartment building and ride the elevator up. Peter is quick to open the door, a dopey smile upon his face.
“What?”
“I have something cool to show you.” You're baffled but blindly follow, fingers itching to try the ring out again.
“Is May here?”
“No she's working.” That was all you needed to know before opening a portal in his doorway as he walked through.
He stared dumbfounded, as he now faced your back.
“H-how? How did I get here?”
“You walked? I'm just faster than you, hate to break it to you Pete.” His brow couldn't possibly furrow further.
“But I opened my bedroom door, walked through, and now in front of the front door.”
“I don't know what you're talking about. C'mon you had something to show me.” It was hard to hide your grin and contain your laughter.
Peter scratched his head, puzzled as he approached his door. You sat on the bunk bed waiting for the right moment.
When he entered the doorway you did your best to slyly reopen the portal. This time sending him into the elevator. He returned frazzled a few minutes later, absolutely baffled.
You sat flipping through a comic book, looking bored and unaware. He was frantic.
“Where have you been? I thought you were showing me something.” You did your best to sound oblivious and confused.
He bought it.
“I teleported!” Sending him an incredulous look, you shrugged passively.
“Whatever you say Peter. Now, for real this time. What did you wanna show me.”
This time you allowed him a few steps through the door before sending him into another dimension. You followed as quietly as possible behind as he quickly became frazzled and searched for an exit.
When you finally provided one you sent him to the hall outside the apartment. You were swift in your return and moved to sit right where you left.
This time you couldn't contain yourself when Peter darted in the room, eyes wide and wild. His heart clearly racing as his chest rose and fell at a rapid pace. Your giggles caused him to narrow his eyes.
“What's going on here?”
“Whatever do you mean Peter? I've been waiting for you big reveal all evening.”
“What? How? Huh?” He regained some composure before continuing. “Explain. Now.”
“Okay, okay.” You pulled out your sling ring, showing it to him. “This, is called a sling ring. It allows me to open and sustain a portal to anywhere in the multiverse.”
He stared. That's all. Just staring. Open mouthed, wide eyed. Gawking.
“Close your mouth you're drooling.”
“Hey! Am not.” You chuckled as he fumbled about. What an absolute dork. “Can you go anywhere?”
“Yep.”
“So, say we wanna go to like… Disney. You know, before May gets home…”
“Really? Just Disney?”
“Okay, fine. The one in Hong Kong.” The two of you broke into a fit of laughter.
This was gonna be fun.
