Dear Bay of Quinte Pride
Written by Ashton Deroy I am sorry but there comes a time to say. Your Pride entertainment is in the way of needed activism. Both for the benefit of Workers’ rights and LGBTQ Rights. I am sorry but it has been said for years. Dating back to Naomi Klein’s book No Logo. You are adopting the cultural look of LGBTQ Pride. Without dealing with the struggles of being LGBTQ. Some of the organizations…

My Eye-Opening Visit to the CUPE Alberta Convention
I recently had the opportunity to attend the CUPE Alberta convention as the 2nd VP of HEU, and it was an incredible experience. There were many highlights, but the one that stood out the most was the game of musical chairs organized by CUPE Alberta. It was heartwarming to see the final two competitors sit down in the chair with their arms around each other, declaring that they would share the…

iPhone plant employees in China protest over delayed payments, poor quarantine conditions
iPhone plant employees in China protest over delayed payments, poor quarantine conditions
Nov. 23, on the tail-end of Black Friday and with the holiday season fast approaching, Foxconn—the world’s largest contract electronics maker—was hit with a riot led by hundreds of protesting factory workers. Chants from employees of,  “Give us our pay!” grinded the usual bustle characteristic of this time of year to a halt, both stunting the monthly profit of this manufacturer and calling the…

Dear Railworkers of America (the workers, not the union)
I just saw that a bill was signed to make it illegal for you folks to strike. I’m so angry on your behalf I can’t see straight. You have a UNION. How in the bloody hells are you paying for membership in a union that can’t even get sick days for you? This is exactly why I hate unions. They lie to their members so freaking hard while making money and screwing over the workers. That aside, I…

Ever have one of those days where one thing leads to another and pretty soon the post you started writing has morphed into something entirely different?  I was working on a post tonight about voting rights & restrictions that morphed a few times and at some point I realized that I was talking about … well, never mind … trust me, you don’t even want to know!  So, I checked on my ‘toon stash, found…

so.. foolishs employee ID is W0039 right?
W0039 = possibly just W (worker) and then the 0039 on his ticket (because i havent seen anyone point out here but 39 is his og ticket number for the train) BUT consider
W0 maybe is a rank, just not one under the normal worker ranks (A-D). almost like cucurucho. theres possibility (and evidence) hes just higher rank than the workers - considering he has some authority over at least the guards. and then 039 is his ticket number.

Antiwork Is the New American Dream
NEW POST! Antiwork Is the New American Dream
For the past few years, I’ve been a member of a subreddit called Antiwork (r/antiwork). I think I found my way there through r/PovertyFinance or r/LostGeneration, where I lurk, occasionally answering questions about surviving life in a capitalist hellscape. (Usually while on the toilet. Sorry, jut being real!) Antiwork is a place for people to vent about their jobs, mostly through memes and…
