I guess the best writing tool for a writer depends on the type of writer he/she is. I regard differently the writing process and the final, structured manuscript ) >particularly like its Storylines feature, which appears to be built around >put together.) However, I’d be genuinely interested in the contrary view. what can a wiki contribute to fiction-writing, other than storage of research and initial random-ish jottings? For the task of writing itself, even of fiction, I’d say one needs a structural hierarchy rather than a web, an outline rather than a wiki (even if, as in WhizFolders, the outline has supplementary wiki features). I see there’s a Deluxe edition with key words, hoisting etc. I now recall reading about WhizFolders in posts here. It has significantly more word processing functions than WikidPad or ConnectedText, and also has a Wiki-style linking function. It is worth taking a look at if you haven’t.

One application you didn’t mention as a Windows version of Scrivener is WhizFolders. Hmmm… I’m aware of the fact that a pen(cil) and a paper will work fine, too. WikidPad: “Open Source Life: wikidPad, logical tool for the creative”-> ĬonnectedText: “ConnectedText - Scrivener for Windows?”-> Recently I stumbled upon two blog posts discussing Wiki and creative writing: Still, I keep searching for the Holy Grail of Windows Fiction Software. * An honorable mention goes to the wonderful SuperNoteCard. *For MS Word diehards, “Chapter by Chapter” (S?bastien Berthet) is a great app to organize chapters/scenes kept as separate documents (and it’s free!) Still more alternatives: Writer’s Cafe, yWriter (free), WriteWay, WriteItNow and more… Windows alternatives: PageFour, Liquid Story Binder I’m just soooo jealous of Scrivener owners, but darn it, I don’t own a Mac.

Sometimes, keinginan menyerah berulang kali. Putus asa sama keadaan yg terjadi. Lalu tersadar bahwa Allah tak suka sama orang-orang yang berputus asa. Allah udah janji bakal nolong orang-orang yang tak pernah berputus asa. Dunia kadang memang terlalu keras yaa, hingga tubuh seringkali merasa lelah, terjungkal-jungkal menjalani.

Seringkali kehilangan keyakinan, lalu tersadar lagi kalo Allah bakal ada untuk kita yang terus berharap dan berusaha. Pernah denger di suatu kajian, kata seorang ustadz kalo selama hidup di dunia masalah yaa bakal terus ada. Memang dunia di desain seperti ini, setelah masalah yg lain selesai eh muncul lagi masalah yang lain. Memang seperti itu hukum alamnya. Lantas, kita mau nyerah gitu ajaa. Lari dari masalah?? Enggak kan!!

Yaa tetep, kudu di hadepin. Ibaratkan aja dunia ini tempat kita ditempa. Ditempa untuk menjadi pribadi yang lebih tabah. Heuheuu. (Ngomong sih enak emang yaa)

Tapi, percaya dehh! Masih ada kok di luaran sana yang hidupnya jauuuh, jauuuhh pakek banget yang lebih susah, lebih menderita. Seriuosly. Tak percaya!!!

Coba deh, sesekali liat ke rumah sakit, panti asuhan, panti jompo, dan panti-panti sosial lainnya. Atau jangan jauh-jauh deh sekitaran kita, pinggir-pinggir jalan. Bakal banyak kita temukan makhluk Allah lainnya yg tetep survive sama keadaan. Yang tetep mensyukuri apapun yang keadaan yang terjadi padanya. Makanya yaa, please jangan suka liat kehidupan orang, publik figur yg "wah" nanti ekspektasi kita bakal ketinggian auto bikin insecure, ngebandingin nikmat yang orang lain terima lalu berujung kita kufur, na'udzubillah!!

Suri tauladan kita itu Rasullullah bukan yang lain, bukan!! Rasullullah mengajarkan kita buat hidup sesederhana mungkin. Ayolahh, kurangi ekspektasi terlalu tinggi yaa! Buang yang buruk. Buang yang unfaedah. Hidup hanya sekali pastikan lebih berarti 😊

6. fic you’d recommend to someone new in the fandom?

Hmmmmm this is a good question. It’s weird in football rpf because it depends on the teams you support, etc. So I guess I’m not totally sure. If it was someone who was a Spurs fan like I am I would definitely point them towards @ericdier-and-chill or @howsareeasy or possibly ourseparatedcities since I generally like what I read.

I think for RMCF fic I would say @pob-lwc-caixa is doing great stuff and @guti has some fics that are fun.

Yeah wow, this is really pairing/team specific so IDK that there is THAT ONE FIC that I would recommend. I have been reading some of the things that saltstreets does and really like the style of them and they have some pretty accessible (if older) pairings.

8. google docs, microsoft word, or other?

Google docs and other, at least these days. Generally, I write in Google docs because it means I have access to the fic on my laptop or my tablet or my phone or a different computer, so it’s nice because I can work on it on the bus or wherever I happen to be.

With the AU, since it is long, I’m working on things in my writing software, WriteWay, since that’s good for storyboarding and planning and making revision notes and character notes and keeping a folder of research and reference stuff and it also tracks your daily progress for you.

The actual writing I do these days is on a site called 750words.com I don’t know why I like writing in there, it’s just a blank screen where you type and it keeps track of how many words you’ve written and the target is 750, but honestly you can write as many as you want. It’s nice because it tracks your word count and some other basic metrics, etc. and it saves all the words for the month so I can go back to individual days and copy/paste what I wrote into Google docs and WriteWay. It’s helping me write, so that’s what I’m using.

15. what’s a fic that made you ship something you previously did not?

This...is easy. I already talked about the others earlier, but...

Truth or Dare by Dollylux. This fic. I swear.

So okay, I have had feelings about Iker Casillas for a long time (it’s a David Beckham problem) and when he had that terrible World Cup in 2014 I had an ENORMOUS UNWANTED FEELS RESURGENCE and was like I need some fic where Iker is not sad and instead is happy and loved and snuggled.

This fic is not that fic. Or, well, it is sometimes that fic, but not always.

But we’re not here to talk about Iker Casillas. I admit I have ZERO IDEA where the Iker/Cesc thing came from and I’m not hugely into it (although in that fic it definitely works and it made me look at it differently and say...hmmmm. okay.) No. We are here to talk about how I spent YEARS OF MY LIFE actively trying not to have positive feelings about Sergio Ramos OR Fernando Torres and then I read this 120k fic full of FEELINGS AND NONSENSE in like 2 days and all of a sudden I’m over here like cool, I guess I ship Iker with EVERYTHING and have feelings about Sergio Ramos and Fernando Torres that are not negative now. Thanks for that.

I didn’t want them nor did I ask for them, but now they are here and I cannot shake them no matter how hard I try.
