okay. okay. I don’t talk about wrestling much from a in depth perspective, but this stuff with Roman and Cody — like — dawg.

they have squandered this fucking storyline to the point that I cannot stop thinking about what it could have been.

the obvious hook for me would be family vs family — a single man fighting for a legacy that hasn’t seen the light of a wwe ring in years vs a man who has browbeat his literal family and forced them into the shape he wants. a man surrounded by lackeys who serve him out of fear vs a man alone, standing on grit and determination and hope

Drew McIntyre x Reader

Summary: Every time Drew looses it’s same, call, talk about how bad he wanted to win, question his best friend then that’s it. End of call. Not this time though. Y/N is sick and tired of the it and she won’t stand for it any longer. But what happens when they get into an argument after Clash at the Castle? How will it unfolded?

Warning: Soft but Angry Drew. Vulgar language and some kissing.

“Fucking Cheater…” Y/N mumbled as she watched the ending of Clash of Castle. Gosh, she felt bad for her best friend. Drew has been fighting and just trying to hard to win those belts, but it seems like luck, is just not on his side.

He deserves those belts. She feared that it’ll never happen but she knows not to loose hope. She turned the tv off after the ending of the match she was gonna text Drew that she was proud but she needed to see his face and hear his voice.

Y/N waited a little while then got on her computer and called Drew. When he answered she called loudly. Even though he didn’t win, she was still proud! He tore up that stadium and deserved every little congratulations and standing ovation!

“My bestie, You completely stole my heart and my tears today! I’m so proud of you!” She almost screamed into the computer. She was happy but Drew didn’t seem that way.

“Thank you, Doll… I… I needed to hear that…really.” He stated lightly, he felt like he let so many people down.

“Are you doing okay?” Y/N watched him roll his eyes. He scoffed and shrugged, “Yeah doll, I’m fine. Actually if you haven’t noticed I just got out of one hell of a match” Drew spoke sarcastically. “Drew I was just asking-“

“I fucking lost, Doll! Yeah the crowd loved me and all, but I wanted those titles! You don’t understand how hard I worked my damn ass off for those belts and see them slip away like that… it fucking breaks me.”

As usual, Drew is upset. Not the fact that he didn’t win, but because Y/N wasn’t there and her calling wasn’t making it any better. He tried to calm down, he knows it’s not her fault but he so wanted to just let all the anger out. He honestly doesn’t want to put it on her but he just exploded.

He’s tired of loosing to Roman for the titles, Y/N couldn’t agree more. Y/N just wished that Drew wouldn’t always have to start an argument when something like this happened. Being best friends is harder than it looks. She just wanted to congratulate him, tell him how much she love him. It was hard between them two. Of course they’ve had their …fun, but they only call it ya know… experiences..

“D, you don’t have to yell. I get it you are tired of-“

“No, Y/N, you don’t get it. Why didn’t you show up? Actually why did you call me just now? Why didn’t you call me this morning or yesterday before the paperview? Why did you wait?” He asked looking at the computer. Staring at her beautiful face.

“Drew, you know I had work I couldn’t make it especially with the flight times. I didn’t call you last night because… well It was late and I didn’t want to interrupt your preparation. I know me being there means the world to you but I feel like I throw you off whenever I’m around you. You said it before! You don’t like me me calling you days before your matches..” she mumbled the last part.

“I know you are pissed, I don’t blame you, D. With me not being there and the match, I get it. But taking it out on me every time something doesn’t go your way is not fair to me. I don’t come home from my shitty job and blame it on you or just complain about how bad the day was because I know it’s not fair on you. I just simply wish you would think about how I feel before you decide to lay everything on me like it’s my fault. Have a nice flight back home.”

Y/N hung up as soon as she was done talking. It wasn’t fair, It just wasn’t! Y/N knew that he was frustrated but she was damn tired of Drew sending his attitude onto her. He sighed and slammed his computer.

He instantly looked at the time and saw that almost 2 am, so he got ready for bed by having a quick shower, washing his face, brushing his teeth, and putting on fresh clothes then heading to bed. He needed to get all the sleep he could before his flight back to the states. Drew wanted to see Y/N as soon as he got off that flight, they already established a few weeks before his flight that she would pick him up from the airport and they could stay at her house until he had to go back to his home for Smackdown.

Early in the morning Y/N was dreading getting up. She knew Drew was gonna make her talk and he was definitely going to mention last nights phone call. Once she arrived at the Airport she saw Drew waiting outside, he was surprisingly the only person i mean its 4am so she wasn’t shocked. Drew smiled and got in the car after putting his bag in the back seat.

“Hey…” he said and y/n softly said “hi..” She put the car in the drive and started to drive. The air was all of a sudden thick and she couldn’t stand the silence and decided to turn on the radio. Drew looked at her and sighed “ Okay, why are you so silent?” She scoffed and looked at him.

“ You cant be serious. You honestly cant be serious, Drew. We literally got into an argument over the phone for me not going with you” He sighed and looked at her. “ Im sorry. I was just upset because I didnt win and I took it out on you.”

“ i understand that Drew. But what you don’t understand you are always doing that to me. You dont get your way then you take it out on me. Then you want to apologize and i think i will look past it and. Im tired of feeling like thats all our friendship has come to be.” She pulled into a empty parking lot because she didnt want to drive with arguing with Drew. Especially with his temper words would be let out that could hurt both of their egos.

Y/N turned the car off and looked at him. “ Its getting harder to be okay when that happens.” Drew returned her eye contact and he just felt heated. Why was he so attracted to her? Why did he have jealous thoughts when she wasn’t with him? Why did she make his heart skip multiple beats when he was with her? “He sighed and cursed under his breath.

“You know I don’t try to be so harsh on you. You don’t deserve it. You go through so much crap here and hate to make you feel like it’s hard to be with me when I know How much our friendship is an escape for the both of us. I don’t know why I do it it to you. It’s just so hard not seeing the person you want to reassure you not there.” He spoke looking at his hands then at her hand.

He smiled slightly when he saw the best friend ring still on her finger. Drew grabbed her hand and held it gently and tangled their hands together. She smiled lightly and he kissed her hand. He looked back at her and it felt like everything he ever worried about was lifted away.

“ I wanted you so bad, it’s killing me.” He spoke lowly and looked at her lips soon caressing it with his thumb. “I’m supposed to be mad at you.” She mumbled and looked away chuckling.

He lightly grabbed her face and made her look at him as he moved in. “Be mad at me later, Princess. I missed you and thinking about these lips made me miss you more” his lips landed on hers and they softly moved together in unison.

It started to get heated and Drew pulled her onto his lap gripping her ass once she was comfortable on-top of him. She pulled away for air and Drew growled slightly.

“Gosh I love you so much I can’t hide it anymore. You are the only one I want ever. I get so jealous when I’m not with you and it kills me. I’m pissed that I wanted to just stay friends after you confessed years ago. It broke me knowing that I only wanted you.”

He mumbled on and on but she laughed and covered his mouth. “ Drew, it’s okay. I understand. You needed time to definitely think and I gave you all the time you need and was willing to wait whenever you came around. No need to be jealous when I love you to space and back. No need to feel as though I’m with another man because I know for sure only you, the Scottish Psychopath can love me the way that you do. I love you, now hush up and kiss me.” Drew quite literally smashed his lips on her. He wanted to make up for lost time they could’ve been together and boy, was he about to. WINK WINK

Wrestling Love Letters

The Bloodline Series: An Unfinished Story

In the world of professional wrestling, the careful crafting of storylines is what keeps fans on the edge of their seats. Wrestlemania, the grandest stage of them all, is where these narratives reach their pinnacle. However, sometimes even the most compelling opportunities slip through the fingers of creative decision-makers, leaving fans disappointed and questioning what could have been.

Cody Rhodes, a name synonymous with wrestling legacy, emerged as the perfect contender to challenge Roman Reigns for one of his coveted championship belts at Wrestlemania 39 (2023). For fans, this wasn't just about crowning another champion; it was about concluding a narrative that had been evolving for years. More recently, viewers were engrossed by Cody's documentary, "American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes," and it became apparent that the climax of his journey (and subsequently, the documentary) should have culminated in a triumphant victory on the grandest stage of all. Taking the WWE Championship that his late father, Dusty Rhodes, never secured would have been the ultimate feel-good moment. Dusty was passed over for the title in favour of Macho Man Randy Savage, and regrettably, history appeared to repeat itself. Cody’s victory would have been a powerful tribute to his father's legacy whilst also strengthening his emotional connection with the audience.

But how could this have been executed without compromising Roman's reign? One solution lies in the storytelling itself. WWE could have refrained from putting both championship belts on the line, therefore allowing Cody to secure a monumental victory without diminishing Roman's position. This approach would have maintained the excitement of the story while preserving Roman's dominance. Moreover, Cody's victory could have been the start of a captivating downward spiral for Roman's character. Grappling to retain his remaining championship, Roman's increasing desperation could have led to him questioning the loyalty of those around him. This intriguing twist would have added layers to his character, making him more gripping and complex.

An additional consequence of WWE's creative decision was the necessity to introduce a new World Heavyweight title (currently held by the ever reliable Seth Rollins), as it was now evident that Roman was truly unbeatable, WWE had booked themselves into a corner where no one was a true threat. It's difficult not to assume that Cody was meant to be victorious at Wrestlemania, and a last-minute decision led to Roman's victory and, consequently, the introduction of a new title. Along similar lines, the once-menacing Money in the Bank briefcase has lost some of its suspense, as it's now evident that, if Cody couldn’t beat Roman Reigns, instilling confidence in a successful Damian Priest cash-in is going to be a challenge. Despite Damian having the support of the Judgement Day, Roman still remains strong with the remnants of the Bloodline, and with turmoil within both factions, the threat of the briefcase is being overshadowed.

Looking ahead, there's still an opportunity for WWE to rectify the situation. Rather than drawing out the Bloodline story with unnecessary twists, it's time to embrace the potential for evolution within the faction. An eagerly awaited feud between Jimmy and Jey Uso would provide a fresh storyline and further character development leading into Wrestlemania XL (2024). A feud between the brothers would captivate fans' attention, highlighting their individual strengths and motivations. Also the idea of the formation of a brother faction with Jimmy, Jey, and Solo against Roman would give fans something to rally behind.

Finally, the enigmatic Paul Heyman's role shouldn't be underestimated. To invigorate his character, Heyman could acquire a new protégé. This could be an opportunity to bring in a rising star from NXT (or mentor a recent call up), injecting new blood into the main roster while giving fans a fresh dynamic to invest in.

In the pro wrestling universe, missed opportunities can often become catalysts for a new and exciting direction. While Cody Rhodes' Wrestlemania victory would have been a fitting tribute to his legacy, the path not taken opens doors for future innovation and the potential for a new ending to Cody’s story.

I won't post the messages, I won't post names, yall don't deserve attention. I'm just taking a minute to say that I understand the bad mood after Elimination Chamber, I understand the passion, but insulting and threatening someone with crazy ravings 'cause they love someone you don't like, it's not the right thing. I hope you understand, I hope you do, and if you don't, I'm sorry, but I, and I believe Roman too - even if I can't speak for him - don't give a damn about your ravings.
