So. I've been thinking about Kim (what else is new), but specifically in episodes 13 and 14.
I've been rewatching because I wanted to check some details and thought of something. Until now I assumed that we don't know why Korn called Kim up to talk in the end of episode 13, or what they might have discussed. Idk I thought maybe it was just an obstacle to keep Kim from going after Chay (and Porsche) right away like he tried to do.
But - take a look at this, tell me if I'm wrong. This is Kim's face when he arrives at the house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To me... he doesn't look determined or confrontational, he doesn't look like a man with a mission. He looks sad and resigned and like he doesn't want to be there.
I don't think he came to see Chay. I think he was there because his dad asked him to be. Keep in mind, in the episode before this Chay told Kim to leave alone. Kim was pissed about it, but he still agreed. When he finds out that Chay is missing, he doesn't actually leave immediately. He struggles for a second or two and then we see him make the decision to go after them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(you can probably see it better in video but I still don't know how to make gifs, sorry, but that last frame is a Kim we recognize to be determined to see Chay)
And then, yes, he gets angry when Chan tells him Korn wants to see him. My theory is that he was wondering if he could get away with ditching his father to go look for them, and unfortunately, he could not.
So what did they meet about? This is just speculation, but I think it's this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kim sighs, in my opinion like he's preparing himself for something he doesn't want to do, and tells Kinn the same thing Korn has been trying to tell Kinn off and on for 12 episodes. Get your head in the game. Only then does the nurse walk in to make the announcement.
Then after Kinn leaves, Kim and Chan exchange this look:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, their expressions could mean multiple things so this is just my speculation, but I think we agree that Kim is definitely not sad for Korn, but might be sad for his brothers. To me it also looks like, "There. Look. Are you satisfied?" Chan gives him nothing, but Kim clenches his teeth. I think this is annoyed/angry Kim again.
I think Kim knew about Korn's plan to fake his death,
which we know that Chan was definitely in on, and Korn - knowing that Kinn would get emotional - told Kim to make sure he stays on track. It's believable that Kim would be level-headed enough to think about that, Kinn might see Kim as more objective, and it probably jumpstarts Kinn's protective instinct to see his little brother reminding him that they're in urgent danger. Using the kids against each other is Korn's whole deal.

turn this knife the blunt way around
happy belated birthday, @kimchaybrainrot!💛 you're lovely and deserve all the treats! i tried to write fluffy soft things but failed spectacularly because angst and i are besties. i promise there is some sweetness at the end.
here is some post-canon kim + kimchay:
- - -
Kim is not surprised when Porsche shows up and enters the café exactly when Kim is wrapping up his set. Kim has ignored calls and messages from Kinn, Tankhun and the Unknown caller. So he signs a few autographs, takes selfies with fans and lets his manager tell them that Wik is very busy and needs to go. Porsche meanwhile orders a caramel macchiato for himself and his bodyguard and waits until Kim packs away his equipment.
"Khun Kittisawat," Kim finally says loud enough to annoy Porsche's security guard, who is holding his drink as he has never seen coffee before.
"I know you helped Chay at the warehouse and at Yok's," Porsche says, ignoring pleasantries, making it sound like an accusation, "but you have to leave my brother alone."
Porsche has taken well to his new role. He manages to sound steely, not heated, like someone in charge of the situation, and he doesn't have to add any threats. It's an order, even if Porsche has no hierarchical power over Kim. Porsche doesn't know that Kinn is just a placeholder for Kim.
"Okay," Kim says, with his perfected poker face and neutral tone. He can tell from how Porsche squints and grips his macchiato that Porsche had expected some resistance.
"Okay," he finally nods, sips his drink and turns to leave. Kim picks up his guitar and waits for Porsche to take a few more steps.
"Porsche," he says because there is a good reason why Kim has trailed Chay for a few months now. Kim has killed at least seven people that wanted to get their hands on the precious innocent baby brother of the minor family's new leader. "Chay's bodyguards are horrible."
Porsche freezes. There are still people around them, some of Wik's fans lingering around, as well as regular customers, so they cannot talk openly. Kim knows that's why Porsche had chosen the location, but it's funny to see him regret that choice now. Porsche opens and closes his mouth, quickly figuring out Kim's words' meaning.
Kim leaves.
- - -
It's not surprising that Chay barely gets to leave the compound afterwards. And when he does, his security detail matches one of Kinn's and Porsche's combined.
"He hates it," Pok says, sliding a photo over Kim's desk. And yes, Chay looks miserable in the image; he looks small in his soft hoodie and loose jeans. Kim knows how it feels to be surrounded by all these suited men and still feel isolated and lonely.
Kim hates how thinking it's for the greater good, his own safety doesn't chip away at the guilt he feels knowing it's his fault.
- - -
It's also not surprising that another few months later, Chay moves out. Just like Kim, Chay is not made for golden cages; there's only so much that your love for your brother(s) can balance out, and Chay has always been brave enough to go after what he wants.
Kim keeps his promise and stays away, he's too busy trying to keep Wik's career from exploding. He knows his father will end it if the fame draws too much attention to their family. The freedom Kim has is imaginary; it's just a leash made longer, long enough that sometimes Kim forgets it's there until he makes one step too far, and it chokes him viciously.
"Do you want me to keep following Khun Porchay?" Pok asks.
Kim thinks about his father's chess board, the pieces he moves around, and the plans he executes. He thinks about his father saying: "I will fake my death", "the minor family will attack", and "you have to protect Porsche's brother, I know what you've been doing with him". He thinks about Korn killing his own brother, Vegas and Macau being pushed away their whole lives only to be embraced when they are no longer needed on the board, and Chay's mother, drugged and unaware.
"No," he says because he is tired of being his father's son. He makes a choice and tells himself to be brave and be like Chay. "Leave him alone."
Pok nods and leaves quietly.
- - -
Kim buries himself in music because music loves him back.
- - -
"Your new album is so sweet," the boy says, and his voice shakes slightly as he smiles shyly, handing over the card to be signed. His older sister is recording their conversation with a cheeky grin on her face. Kim can imagine that this will be future blackmail material.
"Thank you," Kim smiles, "what's your name?"
"Rune," the boy says, still in awe, as Kim writes him a small, personalized note.
"I am glad you wrote some happier songs," the older sister says conversationally, unbothered that Kim is Wik, while Rune picks up his signed card like it's the greatest treasure. "All the sad ones Rune was playing for months made me a bit worried for you. He still gets teary-eyed about the Why Don't You Stay one."
Ah. Kim is saved from answering it because Rune is mortified and pulls his sister away, telling her to shut up, oh my god.
"Hi!" the girl that was next in the line waves at him with a big grin on her face. "I love your new album; it's very sweet!"
Kim smiles back.
- - -
Your new album is amazing, and we are so proud! We miss you.
Kim reads the message again and again; he swallows tears and thinks about the song he wrote weeks ago, about the tiny hints he left there, knowing that nobody but him would know. He didn't think that-
"Kim?" Kinn picks up right away. He sounds hopeful, and Kim realizes that their father is so wrong. The love has not made Kinn weaker; it has made him human.
"I miss you too," Kim says. He can hear Kinn smiling.
- - -
"I am disappointed," his father says, and Kim thinks nothing has ever made him feel more proud than Korn's disappointment. "Maybe I was wrong about you."
"Maybe," Kim says, and they both know he means, yes, yes, you were.
"I don't know what I did wrong," Korn says, defeated, in a rare moment of honesty, "how all three of you ended up like this."
Like this, he says. And he means stupid, weak and pathetic. He means, why would you pick anything over power, ambition, or being the victor? Why would you willingly lose a fight? Who would you do that for, and why?
"You wouldn't understand, father," Kim smiles, pushing Kinn's ring across the table, "after all, you killed your brother and locked up your sister."
He gets up and leaves, half expecting a bullet in his skull, but it never comes.
- - -
The knock on the door makes Kim jump. Only a few people know where he lives, and all the ones who do know to inform him before their arrival. Tankhun has started to show up unannounced, but Kim (now) knows that Wednesdays are shopping days; Tankhun has discovered the magic of shopping malls, and they are a lot shinier than Kim's apartment.
Kim finds the gun before heading for the door but puts it down when he looks at the security camera. He unlocks the door, suddenly very aware of his messy hair, worn shirt and mismatched socks that Kinn had gifted as a joke.
"Hi," Chay says.
Kim has not seen him for almost two years, so he files away the new haircut, a bit broader shoulders, a sharper face, but the same sweet smile and big, innocent eyes.
"Hi?" Kim answers, unsure because Chay's smile is short-lived, and he looks closer to tears.
"I know you loved me," Chay says, and he might as well kick Kim in the stomach, "I mean, I listened to your new album, I mean, sorry, it's none of my business, I should not say that, I just, well," he keeps talking, nervously shifting, looking anywhere but at Kim, "I need you."
Kim feels like someone dropped him in an ocean, leaving him to drown. There are waves of feelings crushing him, pushing him down to the seabed. I know you loved me. Apparently, Chay still knows how to flip Kim's world around. Kim moves before Chay can flee, opening the door wider and stepping aside.
"Come in," Kim says, his voice trembling funnily. And then, because he cannot help it at all, he asks, "You listened to my new album?"
"Of course," Chay says, and it reminds Kim of Tankhun's eye rolls.
Did you like it? Kim wants to ask, but he doesn't. He doesn't get to have this, and he won't be selfish if it hurts Chay, not anymore, and he's been doing good so far.
"Why do you need my help?" Kim asks instead as they walk to the living room. Chay sits on the sofa, back to looking like he is about to cry, but like crying is not a choice he is allowed to make, and it makes Kim's insides hurt. Chay needs to point, and Kim will aim his gun.
"It's about my mom," Chay explains, "I don't know how much you know, but-"
"I know everything," Kim says, and their knees brush as he sits down next to Chay. "I am sorry, I-"
"It's okay," Chay brushes it off quickly as if what Kim did is not a big deal. And Kim wonders if it isn't for Chay anymore. Maybe Chay has learned that there are worse things than stalking and using someone, maybe Chay is helping Porsche now and has done similar things, or maybe Chay has killed someone. Kim has no idea, and it's making him a bit dizzy.
"She remembers everything," Chay explains, and Kim doesn't say that he suspected that too. He looks at Chay's hands that are nervously moving around, wants to grab them and keep them still, but talks himself out of it. "She told me a while ago, she remembers that Uncle Korn killed dad, and wants to tell Porsche, but she's worried that Uncle Korn will... And I am so worried about her and Porsche, and I think Porsche maybe knows too, and something is about to happen, and I-"
"Do you want me to kill my father?" Kim asks carefully. He realizes that he would if Chay asked.
Chay looks horrified. "What? No, of course not!"
Kim is lost, has been lost since he opened the door. "So, what do you need me to help with?"
"I didn't say that," Chay says so quietly that Kim almost doesn't hear it. "I said I need you."
Oh.
And because Chay is the bravest one of them both, he climbs into Kim's lap, hugging him like he did the very first time, with everything he has, and bursts into tears.
"I don't know," he whimpers in Kim's neck, his tears mixing with Kim's, shaking as Kim holds him closer, "what I will do if Porsche dies. I don’t want to be alone anymore, Kim."
Kim wishes he could hide Chay inside the walls of his chest, away from everything, but nowhere is safe with his father alive.
"Shhh," he says instead, "it will be okay, you are not alone."
- - -
"Chay," Kim says hours later when it's getting dark in the apartment. They are still on the sofa, and Chay is half lying on top of Kim, cuddling like they used to, except Chay is quiet and looks defeated under the weight of the world.
"Mm?"
Kim takes a breath and tells himself he can do this. If Tankhun can go to the shopping mall and Kinn can choose Porsche over their father, Kim too can face his fears. "I want to apologize. I am sorry; I know I hurt you, and you didn't deserve any of it. I wish I could take it back."
Chay hums and looks up through the bangs that are half covering his eyes; there's a small smile on the corners of his lips, and Kim wants to press it there, make it stay, and never let anything make Chay sad again.
"I forgave you a long time ago," he says, "Porsche told me how silly Theerapanyakul siblings are. I am very proud you used words this time."
He's teasing Kim, and Kim can't decide between laughing or crying; he settles on neither, holds Chay closer, and moves his hand to stroke Chay's hair gently. He thinks fate is being funny, giving him something only after he learned to let it go.
"And you did write me fourteen love songs."
Kim laughs.
- - -
He returns early in the morning when the dawn settles over the city, a new morning ahead. Chay is still on the sofa, covered in blankets; he gets up when Kim enters the living room.
Kim puts down the gun on the coffee table. He knows he is still covered in sweat and smells like cigarettes that he shared with Porsche when Chay hugs him.
"It will be okay," Kim promises, and buries himself in Chay.

Playboyy Finale Reaction
I am just sitting in my bed staring off at my wall in utter silence.
Tumblr media
Under the cut are my live thoughts during this finale and you can see me descend into insanity.
Oh poor Phop is in hella debt? Baby.
FIRST, SOONG DOESN'T WANT TO BE YOUR SUGAR BABY. But also Soong. Baby. Just let yourself be a sugar baby. He's younger than you anyway. "I don't want to sit around and do nothing and still live an expensive life." Okay Soong that's admirable but like. Couldn't be me.
Okay, if Nont and Prom think someone's gonna bust in the door, maybe don't stand in the doorway? Also. Yes Nont, finally get your dad involved. There's no need for your friends to be doing all this. Your dad is rich and connected.
"No one has issues with me like you do." Captain, my favorite boy, Puen isn't the one that's been an asshole here. I'm sorry though, are we gonna get Captain having some character growth in the last two episodes after being the absolute worst? Oh baby.
TUTOR. SOONG. NO. First. Oh. He's really gonna fuck up his relationship over this huh. Goddammit First. Baby you can't just make appointments to beat up men sexually when you feel bad. That's not what we do love.
NUTH. My boy. NO.
Tumblr media
Aww Nont is like this was not the fucking plan. Has a single plan of Nont's gone well? Because I don't think anything's gone like he wanted this entire show.
Oh shit wait. Damn. Is Nuth gonna go down for Nant's murder now??? Holy shit. Can someone please go find Phop cause he is just sobbing alone in their shitty apartment.
Hey Keen! My love! Just sitting on the couch like you belong. Glad you're here to campaign for Nuth. That's my boy. My two boys.
I kinda feel like Nont should have brought Prom as backup for this scene. Cause everyone else has their man (except Porsche because Jump said he didn’t want to hang out with these losers I guess?) and he's just standing there like 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️.
Well. My dear sweet mentally unwell child is in prison. So. I mean. I guess that's that. FOR FIVE YEARS??? HE'S GONNA DO FIVE YEARS??? OH MY FUCKING GOD.
Tumblr media
Jump and Porsche are cute. But Nuth is gonna be in prison for five years and Phop is a baby in hella debt and I'm just like.
Tumblr media
I mean, lick that dick Porsche, but what does that mean to me right now. When Nuth is IN PRISON for FIVE YEARS.
....is Phop OD'ing??? What in the fuck is going on??? Like is he really fucking dying right now??? Alone??? In his fucking bathroom while his man is in prison???
Tumblr media
Welp. I think the baby just fucking OD'd alone in his bathroom while his man is in prison so like. When I tell you. There's 13 minutes left in this show and I'm done. I AM DONE.
Tumblr media
At this point I am so angry that I'm not even reacting. Like. This show really just wanted to hurt my fucking feelings and did. Unless they do some surprise twist? I'm sick. This is SICK.
What the fuck is that painting??? Am I supposed to recognize who that is??? Cause Zouey's art is shit and I don't. What the fuck is going on here. I've long since realized I'm too dumb for the plot so like I just need someone to tell me if Phop is alive cause I don't think he is. And I need to know. I NEED TO KNOW.
I'M STILL ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS ABOUT PHOP BUT THEY JUST BUSTED OUT SOME BONKERS ASS SHIT WITH FIVE MINUTES LEFT WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.
Umm okay so it just ended??? I'm guessing they cliffhangered it for a second season? But these shows RARELY ever get a second season??? Oh this was an entire waste of my fucking time. I'm not even mad. I'm actually laughing. lol
WAIT IS THIS WHOLE THING NUTH'S SCREENPLAY??? DID PHOP KILL NANT??? What the shit is happening here??? Again, I'm not even mad now. I'm in awe of this. lol
Well, that certainly happened. Alright then. I don't even know what to say at this point.

I would love to know your thoughts on the vegas + porsche relationship post canon. also vegas and kinn, kinn and pete, pete and porsche - literally all of them it fascinates me but also I can’t get it completely straight in my head! 💚
ahhhh yes. I am planning on...at least attempting to write something that digs a little more into post-canon relationship stuff around vegas and pete both as individuals and together because the thing I love about all of these dynamics is how messy they are! like damn!
breaking this down by relationship and it's going to get long...
vegas and kinn: obviously that's been nowhere good for a while (though I do like to think that they got along at least decently for a while when they were kids, even if I'm sure they butted heads a lot because they are both stubborn and bossy and like to get their own way), and post-canon it's...even worse, I think. because vegas did pretty clearly and definitely cross a line that the major/minor family conflict has been dancing along for years and openly pit himself against kinn, including being about two inches and an exploding robot from shooting kinn, porsche, or both. and that not even getting into everything about vegas's game with porsche (and how much that kicks up a lot of shit, both anger on porsche's behalf and also, yeah, I'm gonna say there's a substantial bit of jealousy in there).
vegas fucked kinn over and kinn is a little mad about that, I would imagine! a wee bit peeved! possibly not entirely pleased that vegas survived! and dealing with it by either (a) pretending his cousins don't exist as much as possible and (b) rubbing vegas's nose in porsche's new status whenever he gets the chance (porsche does not appreciate this. kinn mostly does it when he's not around). and this drives vegas absolutely up the wall to the ceiling because there's nothing he can do about it and this is exactly the reification and affirmation of everything his dad ever said about him not being good enough and never being on kinn's level. so that's grinding sand in that wound.
I am invested in them having some kind of a relationship that's not, you know, 100% hostility and loathing but honestly getting them there is kind of a tall order. there's a lot of bad blood under the bridge, as it were, and the fact that, from vegas's perspective, kinn got everything he wanted...is gonna smart for a while.
kinn and pete: and then there's this one! I feel like I see people writing pete as having switched his loyalties over without much looking back or sense of divided loyalties, and I don't actually think that'd be the case for him: I think there'd be a lot of times for pete that, after the fact, he's struggling a little with not just the unfamiliarity of his life suddenly having none of the structure that he's used to (and that, I headcanon, he's been living with since he was pretty young), but also with not really knowing what to do with the fact that he still has a lot of attachments to the main family. they still matter to him, even above and beyond the ways in which he's a little bit hard-wired to hop when a theerapanyakul tells him to do something.
pete's very loyal and just setting those former loyalties aside would not, I don't think, come easily to him if at all.
so he's now living in this weird limbo where he's very much tied to vegas, but everyone else he knows (pretty much, we'll get to porsche in a minute) thinks he's lost his mind about it and hates vegas very much right now (or at least is very wary and suspicious, at best), and that's got to not feel very good! it's isolating and uncomfortable on the one hand and on the other it's not fun to feel like everyone around you hates the person you love.
so then there's kinn - kinn who does seem to genuinely care about his bodyguards to a certain extent, and certainly trusts pete a great deal, and almost certainly feels very very bad about the whole thing where he forgot him for a little while there. I think kinn, for his part, is very disappointed and a little bit betrayed/hurt by pete's choice (though not nearly as melodramatically as tankhun is), even if I don't think he'd say so.
but I think he would still want to treat pete more or less the same as ever (sometimes including the reflexive I'm-your-boss-do-what-I-say attitude) and just...aggressively ignore the vegas part of his life. which for pete is both painful and painfully awkward and generates a lot of relationship tension, because you know who ends up getting the brunt of vegas's temper about that particular move? it's not kinn generally speaking
and on pete's end...pete's in this place where I think he'd really like to keep at least a cordial relationship with kinn even if it feels very weird to not be his employee (by proxy) anymore, the idea of being friends with him is sort of too weird to conceptualize, but he feels like he's being put in a position constantly of having to Choose between his relationship with vegas and...being able to have interactions with kinn, and he does not enjoy that feeling, even if vegas was reasonable about it, which mostly he isn't. (I think he would try. I think he would try and always eventually fail.)
so that's, you know, awkward.
pete and porsche: honestly I think this is the simplest one on this list, though even that's got some awkward teeth because pete is not, I don't think, quite sure how he's supposed to relate to porsche-the-minor-family-head, if he's supposed to act differently than he did with porsche-the-bodyguard (porsche says no, pete thinks probably the answer should be yes, and will be yes in public, but if they're just with friends then it's fine, probably, but it still feels weird).
but like...porsche is maybe the only?? person who's basically looked at the whole major/minor family conflict and gone "yeah I don't want to get into that" and, despite the fact that vegas almost shot him, has decided to let bygones be more or less bygones. and anyway that was vegas, and not pete, and whatever the heck is going on there pete seems...okay not fine but less of a mess than he was before the coup, somehow, so. pete's a friend and porsche wants him to stay a friend. even if he did sort of abandon him to torture and suffering and then set him up so vegas could see him. but it worked out??? apparently????
and that has to be such a relief to pete, just to have at least one person for whom he doesn't have to completely bifurcate his life in two, who still talks to him without ever looking at him like he's either gone crazy or been taken hostage, and who doesn't seem like he'd prefer pete's boyfriend dead. that's nice! he's not going to take it for granted! even if there are still weird things I think pete's relationship with porsche comes out of canon okay. and thank god for that.
vegas and porsche: I've talked before about how I feel like I'm still wrapping my head around their dynamic and that's still true, but I do feel like I have a better sense of where they are post-canon than during canon, particularly as far as vegas's porsche feelings, which are a monstrous mix of resentment and exhaustion and "well, this might as well happen" frustrated resignation and confusion and so on and so forth. it's a mess. there's no getting around the fact that porsche is now walking around with the position vegas always expected to have, and that definitely sticks in vegas's craw regardless of how much, at this point, he actually wants that position (and I don't think vegas knows yet how not to want it, at least symbolically if not in actuality. he would've liked to have been asked, etc.).
but porsche is also out here probably just straight up asking vegas for information and advice and his thoughts and opinions, both strategically and because porsche is smart enough to know that's at least one possible way to keep vegas from becoming a potentially very dangerous enemy. and vegas knows that's what he's doing but also when he's in a position where he's feeling rootless and useless and like he has no idea what to do with himself...it gives him some kind of anchor, which is very valuable. and porsche is personable and likeable and I do think vegas likes him as a person, so even as he's bristling about all the context when he actually spends time with porsche it's hard to just straight up hate him.
it is much easier to hate porsche's guts in the abstract than in the reality, and porsche is invested in making it harder, actually :) for pete's sake, and his own, but also while I think porsche is (wisely) wary of vegas and isn't about to trust him, I don't think he's going to completely write him off, either. though yeah. the trust definitely isn't there and I don't think they'd be completely comfortable around each other anytime soon.
anyway here's an essay about My Thoughts on Kinnporsche Post-Canon Character Dynamics, no idea if you wanted that much but, well. I have, as usual, a lot of opinions.

VegasPete from my Perspective Ep 11 part 1
Tumblr media
Warning:: You probably won't like what I have to say and I know several of you won't agree. Don't say you weren't warned.
Pete asks "Why don't you just kill me" because he honestly doesn't understand. He doesn't understand Vegas anger, not yet. Pete thought he would be just like everyone else, some torture and then death. He wasn't expecting the rage or the ongoing torture. Vegas responds “Because when you suffer, you become more interesting”
And so begins the multi-layers of episode 11. Well in my opinion anyway, again, I typically see things differently. What I got from this though is that Vegas was letting Pete know, that he could see his excitement. Again I'm not saying this is right but I will say that I don't think from Vegas' perspective he is viewing it as wrong. I think perhaps in his head, he is seeing the mutual attraction and betrayal differently than Pete.
Tumblr media
Vegas' dad comes in and hits Vegas. It was at this point that Pete surprised me. Now I've talked a lot about Pete's crush on Vegas but I honest to God, I expected it to have been completely destroyed when Vegas started torturing him. Then I saw the look that Pete leveled Gun. Guys, he was not amused at Vegas getting hit and he is sadomasochists' so that says something. When we do see amusement, is when Gun tells Vegas to clean up and hands him a gun. Pete is ready to die. I mean, he can withstand the torture so why. I’m going to throw a theory at you, how would you feel if you betrayed someone you liked and they now hate you? We know how loyal Pete is, look at what he did for Porsche. He knew he was going to betray Vegas but he wasn't expecting it to have this kind of impact.
Tumblr media
Now, in my previous post I mentioned that this part would be important. I need you to see what I see. To see the difference in how Vegas views everyone else in comparison to Pete. Vegas raises the gun but can't look. Why? He looked Tawan right in the eyes as he shot him and he looked right at Porsche. Why can't he look at Pete.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now if you happened to have missed this detail. You would be understandable in thinking that Vegas doesn't shoot Pete because he laughs but I disagree. Vegas can hurt Pete but he can't kill him. He'll disobey his father and take the wrath for it because Pete is coming with him.
Tumblr media
Vegas works fast to come up with an elaborate plan to keep Pete for now. He asks for vacation time from Kinn. Vacation time guys, this implies that they can expect for Pete to come back. If Vegas planned on keeping Pete, wouldn't it have been better to have made it look like he was dead? Then how does Vegas know so much about Pete's grandmother. I mean yes her number was there in Pete's phone but that doesn't tell their story. How does Vegas know that Pete and his grandmother have a good relationship and that she would lie for him. Also does the whole Vegas wanting to provide food for Pete circle back around to Pete's grandmother? If he knows about their relationship then it stands to figure that he knows about Pete's grandmother sending food to Pete. That Pete values this food for the care and meaning it has behind it.
Lets get back to the moment above because I think a few things happen at this point. I think Vegas is thrilled that he thought of a plan that will have him keeping and torturing Pete longer. Don't mistake though, Vegas is still fucking pissed. He is in a world of intense rage and excitement. Now so is Pete, finally and truly pissed at Vegas. It's at this point that Pete loses his shit and becomes a bit broken.
Once Vegas decides to take Pete with him. He starts treating him as a pet. A pet is below a slave, so below what Vegas thought of Tawan. It's at this point that we see a lot of push/pull. Vegas tries to feed Pete in a pet bowl and Pete knows he can't accept this. Vegas says "You think that you can choose not to eat" and Pete says “I’m not choosing, I’m just not eating” which sets Vegas off. He loses control. Now we know that Vegas gets angry but when has he lost control the way he does with Pete and why this. What is it about this statement that is pushing Vegas over the edge. Because Pete is making it clear that he isn’t and wouldn’t choose any of this. He wouldn't choose Vegas. Meanwhile, despite the betrayal Vegas still wants Pete.
"A good pet listens to its owner"
This is part 2 of a series but part 1 of PeteVegas episode 11. Part 2 can be found here. I know few are going to agree with me and that's okay. I'm not writing it for you. I'm writing it for me and the coconuts mafia who are interested. Also for @kinnswife and @ellaspore hope you guys enjoy💜💜💜

KinnPorsche Rewatch 2023
Reminder: as we go into heavier topics in KP (dub-con/non-con, toxic behaviors, etc.), I will not be doing deep dives. I’m planning on taking this just below surface value as these are literally thoughts I have in the moment as I’m watching. Thank you.
Side Story Random Thoughts
Tankhun is so dramatic here. Fake crying and the whole time giving side eye to P like "he's really buying this?"
Why is this hospital so fancy though? K is sleeping in a queen size bed for goodness sake.
Ah yes, Vegas. Here to stir shit up.
I'm on vacation he says. I'm gonna sleep alone he says. Liar. Scared of fake ghosts (actually probably not fake, most hospitals are haunted for obvious reasons).
K, I think it might be slightly obvious that P is going to stay by your side. Come on now. But thanks for giving him a phone so he can talk to Chay at least. Damn.
Sweet little ending with a cuddle ❤
Episode 7 Random Thoughts
Iconic Pete opening.
The lighting in this episode is so pretty.
Porsche and Big really just focus on a guy with an earbud... Meanwhile, another guy just strolls up with a damn grenade. Honestly.
I love how all the people there are causing a ruckus because there's a grenade up for grabs but no one fucking leaves?? They just sit there and watch??? What are y'all doing?
I dunno, beating someone into a confession probably would be difficult if the person is particularly tight lipped. But Vegas walking over with a torture case? Idk, I think I'd rather talk than be tortured...
The look that Pete gives Vegas though. Somewhat intrigued, it seems.
Did he pull out a tooth?? What is that?
Gun always trying to out wit and out maneuver his brother. He has one hell of a complex... And gave his sons a complex. And abused them. And he has too many cravats.
The red velvet shirt though.
I actually really enjoy this scene where we see how differently the minor family operates. People greeting with respect as they walk by, but they're more relaxed than the main family's people are.
Vegas walking in and out of the shadows, the lighting in general.. It's... Telling in a way. Of what kind of character Vegas puts forth for his people but also of the darkness dwelling within.
I feel like for how many people most likely live in that complex, they should have like three of those long tables set up.
Typical teenage boy with a messy room but it's just the house that's messy.
Why is K still on a saline drip at home? How long has it been since he got shot?
"But Daddy I love him!!" Honestly though, P makes K such a better person overall. Not just for their employees, but for himself. K doesn't necessarily need to be cruel to be an effective leader. I still hold that K was the worst thing to happen to P though, it turned him into someone that the old P would have hated.
Back to the single seat on the Panigale.
Vegas is more like a dad to Macau than Gun is.
Chay is all embarrassed about his room, like no my crush cannot go in there because he'll see my little shrine.
I love how easy going Kim seems to be around Chay. Compared to how we know he can be. Jeff did such a good job with him.
And then the closeup where we see the friendly demeanor drop and he goes straight back into nosy mode and walls go back up.
And then when Chay comes back, those walls come down a bit again and Kim's like damn, this boy is getting to me. I must get him to admit his crush.
It's because he's jealous, P. Always because he's jealous. K is so bad at communication and trusting P 🥴 get your shit together.
That shit eating smirk on Vegas's face. So good at sowing little seeds of distrust.
My boy Tay coming in with the best advice. And the best style.
How long has that body been there though?
Pete's out here doing the most.
I actually love that K comes to see P and gives him the lucky gun to hold onto. Nice symbolism.
"Let me show you your product." Guns ablaze. God this scene is well done. Porsche and Vegas work together surprisingly well for gun fights.
I think I've played too much Assassin's Creed, I always want to hear requiescat in pace vs reposa in pace.
The party is so well lit. All these lighting differences are so pretty.
Then Vegas trying to get Porsche to stay on with him, telling him what he thinks P wants to hear bc he's a stalker ass.
Porsche is visibly uncomfortable around Vegas in the bathroom scene. Then during the kiss pushes him away... Because he only loves Kinn.
Then Porsche hits Kinn where it hurts: I know about your ex, but only vaguely.
So hurtful, that slap was well deserved.
"I shouldn't have loved a shitty guy like you." He was trying to hit K where it hurt. And finally speaking the words that K needed to hear.
I do like how P takes back control during the NC scene. Doing sexy time on his own terms this time.
The chemistry is out of fucking control.
Tumblr media
Consistently, the best NC scene of the series in this episode, in my humble opinion. Plus growing (my faves) KimChay's relationship :')
Episode 8 next!

Hiii! This chapter was a long one and I have a lot to say about it too 😅
Firstly I need to ask before I forget. Does any of one word game quotes have been cut out of this chapter to include in the next one or they might have been changed? Like the one when Vegas asks if Pete wants his cock or him touching Pete's. And "friend" one when Vegas asks someone? I'm just curious if this was changed in the final check or maybe split to fit in the next chapter more.
Also more technical question. Would mind if someone were to point out some spelling mistakes in new chapters? I know it's easier to find errors when reading the first time. I found some minor ones and an incorrect name used but I don't want to correct others. I don't want to appear rude so I needed to ask 🥲
To the plot we go!
IGHJKJGFJKHG-
So much was happening in this chapter! So many emotions!
First of all I was really impressed with Pete's planning and the whole getting Vegas out. He really was wasting his potential at a major family. I'm so glad the rest is getting the bitter taste of his competency thrown back at them. And omg, I love every interaction of Pete with Vegas's bodyguards. So glad they are skilled and loyal to Vegas and Pete(!) too. Mafia husband's in the making 😁
I'm always shocked how well you can write Korn so I have a need to smother him all the time. Almost the same as Kinn but he can be better. Korn is only waiting for death. Which we all would rather have in any situation. I always secretly wish that Korn will die by Tankhun hands, which I only read once. He deserves this so much and seeing his rage and hurt only proves this idea. Like he is so smart and the most likable brother in the whole family. He didn't deserve any of it. Half of the time people are not even taking him seriously. I know he kind of preferred it this way. But I can see his role is bugging him much more now.
I still love how you acknowledge Kinn's toxic and predatory behavior. It always bugged me when KP fans were shitting on VP saying their relationship is toxic. But in the series specifically they consented! Porsche didn't have that chance. In your fic it's even more complicated but I would take Vegas a thousand times back if I was Pete and run and didn't look back in Porsche place 😤 Kinn's behavior has me fuming 😂 He doesn't even notices that Macau nor Vegas had really any say in how the minor family operates and the coup too.
Macau is a pure soul and it warmed my hurt how Phalin and Grandma took him in providing so much comfort. He deserves all of this and more.
I love how Yaai is portrayed. Very observant and clever. Vegas is not going to have a good time at all. But if she already can sense his devotion to Pete then maybe it won't be that bad 😂
And Vegas OMG. In one second as he wakes up, he thinks Pete left him. In another is so happy that he was wrong and lovingly stared at them both. And in third he was just horny all the way. Like Pete wasn't kidding when he was sensing Vegas thinks of sex all the time. Like damn, he really is. Doesn't even ask what happens, how? When? No. He is safe, Macau is safe. Pete is safe too but angry, but he can work with that. Like wtf. Touch some grass 😂
I'm very curious how the interrogation plays out. How to even explain all that without sounding like an asshole.
I'm so curious about any plans after Vegas is finally healed.
Thank you so much for this! I had a whole day free so I had my VegasPete day in peace. The chapter was amazing and very much worth the wait! Thank you so much for being here and proving for our starving VP souls 😭🙏❤️

Hello again!!! no they're not cut scenes they're just scenes from the next chapter- i had the cut off placed somewhere differently in the draft before i realised how long the chap was getting. i dont cut things from my stories as a general rule. i either dump them at the end of the story as extras to work into a different point later on or they get reworked so those hints are still to come!
oh yes please do point out spelling mistakes or name mix ups!! (Just send me an ask or IM me with the details if thats easier) i do try to do a final reread before i post but i dont have a beta reader so i often miss mistakes before i come back and read the latest chap again. weird how your brain can just pass over them until you end up noticing the mistake later on!!
ahhhh thank you!!! yes it did feel like a lot of pete just letting loose in this chap because there is a lot of that 'dont think for themselves' element for a bodyguard but pete is smart!! so there is a bit of an obvious change in him already now that hes no longer blindly following the family. aw yeah they were so impressed by him, so ready to fall in line behind pete. funny how so easily pete can inspire loyalty in people!!
oh yeah dude is actually such a frightening kind of character because he hides all of these horrible things behind politeness and smiles. ugh yeah kinn, hopefully porsche is getting through to him and he can understand how to be a better partner because as far as im concerned during that porsche totally dumped him lol. poor tankhun for sure!! he will definitely be taking a much needed reassessment of things after all of this and we can only hope it works out for the better!
oh yeah all of the relationships in kp are fucked up but kinn and porsches feels worse to me because its subtler, the kind of relationship you dont realise is abusive when youre in it but yeah porsche taking a stand for himself was so so necessary and it has been building up for a long time now. yeah i think kinn is mostly focusing on feeling wronged than having the capacity to understand that circumstances havent left vegas or macau with much control either. hes not being very rational atm
aw poor macau!!!! him crying was so painful like noooooooooo. oh yeah man vegas is in SO much danger now lol petes grandmother is going to see through all of his bullshit (but she will start to see his affect on pete and that will slowly bring her around to warming to him)
hahahaha yeah hes running on such a different intensity to everyone else, like obvs pete has seen elements of that but im not sure how aware he is of the way vegas is constantly thinking about him. pete is the sun of his world now, he orbits around him but yeah lol chill out man and touch some grass hahaha
its going to be tricky!! but pete is going to try and give as much as he can without over explaining and he'll be careful to make sure vegas doesnt get too honest with his grandmother. either way pete is going to be heavily involved here.
youre so very welcome! im glad you enjoyed your vegaspete day in peace!!!

I think both Kinn & Porsche are looking at their respective lovers in the same light by the end of the episode. I think Porsche looks at Kinn and sees someone trusting the ex who stabbed him in the back and betrayed him and his family. And I think Kinn looks at Porsche and sees someone trusting the person he's warned him about countless times and whom he deems untrustworthy.
The quandary is that they both have a right to feel the way they feel. However, this is where their miscommunication comes into play because they're both wrong. And yes, I'm gonna make a prediction here and I could be wrong. I'll take the L if I am. Porsche doesn't trust Vegas and Kinn doesn't trust Tawan. That's it. Full stop. Due to their lack of communication, I'm sure they don't see it that way though. Plus, I imagine their own emotional hang-ups, trust issues, and personal insecurities play a part in convincing them of something that's probably not true. Let's take it a step further and have a big brain moment here.
Porsche can't show Vegas he doesn't trust him and he can't shut him down. The last time he went up against the minor family, he got choked out. Granted, it was to save him from a worse fate but that's what objectively happened. Kinn can't show Tawan he doesn't trust him either because he can't find out his true motives if he's elsewhere. Neither of the antagonists in this equation are stupid, so neither of them would show their hands to someone who's openly being suspicious and wary of them.
The only way they can get proof of their suspicions is if they keep them close. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. You can keep a better eye on your enemy if you're close to them. Now, do Kinn & Porsche have trust issues between them? Yes. Do I think both of them have done (or plan on doing) something that may look shady to the other when it comes to how they handle this whole thing? Yes. Kinn has to make a choice to gain the trust of his father and people while still ensuring that Tawan (and the mole) believe their plan worked. He still doesn't know who Tawan is working with. He thinks it's Vegas but he has no proof of that. Keeping Tawan in the house makes it easier to figure out who his partner is. But also, from this episode, we know that most of the guards notice more than they let on. Hell, this episode showed us that most of the people in the major family house notice and see things none of us thought they did. With that being said, no one knows who the mole is. The mole was most likely in that room when Kinn ordered Porsche to be locked up.
As for Porsche, he may run off with Vegas because he thinks he can get more evidence of his innocence and literally everything else. I think Vegas wears a mask around Porsche like he does around most people but I also believe that Porsche can outsmart him. It's like I've mentioned in my other meta post here - Vegas lacks self control and patience, so Porsche could quite literally wait him out because he will fuck this up. His arrogance will blind him to what's actually going on with Porsche and he will believe that he's beaten his cousin. Because while Vegas wears a mask, he doesn't realize that so do other people. He doesn't know Porsche but he believes certain things about him and that's why he utilizes the approach he does with him. He can read Kinn and he can even read Pete, it seems. He can't read Porsche though, which may be due to his arrogance and Porsche himself.
Now, this is all conjecture. I could be wrong about all of this or even some of this. Porsche may not have a plan and neither does Kinn. Maybe. But something tells me there is far more going on here with both of them, so I'm not pointing the finger at either one of them for this whole thing. All I ask is that you guys remember that and cut both of them some slack here. Give them credit because neither one of them lack intelligence. I'm pointing the finger at Vegas and Tawan though because they're the reason all of this is happening and it's quite clear that they're working together. With the help of whoever the mole is, of course.

The difference between a book and tv adaptation (KinnPorsche the series).
Tumblr media
Honestly when it comes a book to tv show adaptation (see my experience with the series Not Me for example), I’m always on edge. With KP, I didn’t first know a lot about the series, like I knew certain spoilers as always, like the final plot twist, the VegasPete ship, and the snippets with Tawan but I didn’t know anything else, however because of that, I came in judging the book and having low expectations from what I heard. But here’s my take on it:
Tumblr media
It’s interesting how those opinions have changed now knowing the whole storyline for season 1. I think what I will say is that people really judge the book writers harshly, like the book may be extremely problematic with the actions of the characters but they do apologize, and discuss consent and other issues, it’s not just romanticized or seen as a good thing, I don’t know where we got off thinking that it was. I’m not saying that it makes it right the way some characters acted but this is a book about the mafia, about cruel people forced to be immoral against their wishes, about the pain and suffering they cause on others and also encounter as they fall in love. It’s not really meant to be a woke piece on what representation should be like. So, the characters are slightly more unhinged in the book but actually, after processing them they are still 3 dimensional, they all have things about them that are very hidden in subtext and the writers fail to fully flesh out like they are doing on the show with the team, but it is there.
A misguided translation
Like yes, Kinn is so much more crueller, and bratty in the novel, he’s more possessive and toxic but he does apologize like show Kinn, and he does show moments of remorse and realizations that his actions aren’t right, same as Vegas who is a bit more humanized so far in the book (like he actually did have feelings for Porsche, he was the one who wouldn’t kiss anyone until he met Pete) and the show has given some of Vegas’s special characteristics to Kinn instead to humanize him. However, I think it’s because like in the book with how there were parallels in the subtext between these two couples, they’re doing the same in the show… So it’s interesting, because on the surface, people complain about how badly written the novel is and how it makes no sense, but I think people should realize that it’s because of translation issues, like I didn’t enjoy Love sick the novel because I read a bad translation but when I watched those moments translated properly into the show I understood what I couldn’t see or get with the lack of actual accurate English translations for how the writing Is meant to be.  This is for every BL so far, I’ve had to read, translate, and understand. I think the lack of layers people fail to see in the novel is because of that, because the novel is dramatic and there’s a lot going on at once and sometimes we’re too focused only on the surface refusing to see how the characters are affected or what it means for them towards the end, we don’t process it at the end or retrace our steps to see where it was hinted at or foreshadowed, why they do what they do even though it makes sense for most of them.
Take for example, people saying the structure of the novel towards the end felt out of nowhere and shoehorned the plot twist, when in reality no, the novel was planning that from the beginning, every single moment (the show does a better job in intersecting this with the chess metaphor, and the introduction of the idea of a mole and using Vegas as a fodder to explain the next arcs of the show), every single moment is planned, the real reasons for the  kidnapping is not a surprise later when you have to piece it together, there’s lots of things that are mentioned and then forgotten about and that’s on purpose. And that’s then slammed on you, leaving you surprised and shocked when you get to the moments those truths are unveiled. The reason why KP is not taken seriously for its actual plot structure is because people only focus on the label of it as BL and judge it on that instead. So, they get distracted by the love story on the surface that acts as a shield to the rest of the plot line, it’s loud, dramatic, toxic and is interlinked to most of the plot, so it’s hard to not pull away from it and see what else is pulling these characters along, or what is causing these events.
Red herrings and intentional distractions
The other thing both in the show and the novel (that I think the directors picked on because while they are changing certain moments in the novel, they’re not changing the structure), is that there are red herrings littered all over the place, Vegas is a massive red herring for the ending, he is the one we assume in the show is the one running everything with the insidious plan. An example where the audience is led to believe in this is in episode; 7 it’s clear he manipulated and is part of the group of people rebelling against the major family, but he’s calculating and frames Don instead, yes that’s Vegas, that’s something he and his family would do, but he’s not the big villain, some people will get distracted by Tawan (again the romance arc of the story) and say he’s the villain, but the show only uses him again as a tool to reveal the next part of the mystery of the chess game, despite us being too distracted to see how, everything is on purpose  and once you get through the book, the moments that plot twist arc starts to happen you start to realize why certain characters have been doing what they’ve been doing, what’s actually happened in the past to get the characters where they are and what is going to be their future. Again, the show does this by making a metaphorical analogy of the chess game, showing you that each episode, or plot is a chess move, getting closer and closer to leaving the King on both sides being exposed and in danger, everyone is being controlled, the good people (the knights), the mysterious pawns and even the ones on the other side. It’s all strategized and structured, so the writers deserve credit for that because they did have their own themes that were difficult to notice because of being distracted by the surface actions but also with the show will make more sense because we can see visual imagery, and metaphors, and mise-en scenes where the meta isn’t hidden.  I think the show is doing a great job so far, but the writers in my opinion made it easier for them to do so.
Enhancing a story
I think KP is one of the best books to adaptations because every single actor embodies their roles perfectly. It’s like they were a bit destined to play each character they were given. They all have the best attributes needed to love the characters in the novel. For example, Mile is great at giving the softness that Kinn lacks in written word despite the fact that again it is there in the book, Apo has the lovable childishness, and sensitivity that Porsche shows in the book but normally really comes off more bratty and ignorant and hurtful, and also Porsche isn’t problematic with the way he thinks about his queerness in the show either, which is a great change, and wonderful for representation. Bible has the charisma needed to seduce and compel us like Vegas, but he also gives more to him than just this cold psychopathic person, he makes you think and feel like there’s more to Vegas which is what is needed, you can tell from his acting that he is in a mask constantly and we haven’t yet seen the real version of the character he’s meant to play. This is the same as Build, who is filled with duality, smiling so bright and gives off this cute babyish vibe at times making you want to protect Pete but also the hardness and charisma of one who is serious, accepting, and dark when it comes to the violence and pain he encounters, there’s a dominance shown in moments when he loses that smile and then a softness returned.  Build is able to perfect those two spectrums perfectly. I think this is what makes it so easy to immerse ourselves with the story of KP in the show more than the novels, in the novels the characters are given the right traits just lacking the written power and description to make them leap of that way. But with KP, it’s also the way that the directors are all part of this that makes this show stand out as a great adaptation.
First is the effort and budget given to showcase the extremities of the novel, the budget helps us see how much wealth and power consumes the characters and the show ensures we see that, we see the symbolic objects, we see the symbolic colors, we see the symbolic locations and we feel all of it, because of the extra effort and quality put to show that. Next is the fact that the show combines four directors including a screen writer along with the original writers (the ones that know the story structure and created it), all with different strengths and skills. We have Pond, who is the one determined to showcase the intimacy that the book lacked due to again it’s written state, he’s the controller of the show’s plot, he’s the one who steers and alters and changes what he felt needed to be altered but he still sticks to the structure and guidelines given to him by the OG writers. He’s skilled at understanding what makes the audience tick with Y series, how to improve and emphasize the romance that the book haphazardly ruined at times when adding it to the structure and flow. He does this with Pepsi, the codirector of many known Y favorites, because she creates depth and meta in everything she does, from Bad buddy, and fleshing out the novel to give it even more depth in a different way, to Dark Blue Kiss which she also did the same for the love stories there, to Greater Man Academy, she has been the forefront of taking flawed human characters and giving them their voice, while working and ensuring their arcs are completed in a way that makes sense. She has a harder job this time around to humanize two characters story and love, that seem twisted, immoral, and unforgiving, and that’s Vegas and Pete but seeing how she always positively represents queer topics and themes, she would be more determined in showing us the challenges of these 2 while also humanizing them, however I also don’t think she will censor them as per the authors requests. Additionally, we have Khom, the director known for the award-winning directing of action scenes, he was added into this project for his skills need to showcase the darker and more experienced side of mafia world ensuring the action scenes do look high quality and still flow well with the structure of the script and story.  And then we have Nhing who is the cinematographer of the previous known works such as I told sunset about you, incredible meta director who showcases the themes normally left in the subtext with the mise-en-scene and filmography, she’s the reason for the color theories, the symbols, the lighting, and due to that quality, KP even gets even more enhanced as a perfect visual image for us viewers than just reading only the plot of the book.
This is why the show is better in that case than what the outlines of the novels provide, because it is pleasing and its edits are thoughtful and effective for amazing storytelling and adds more depth and feelings to the overall structure of the plot, there’s more empathy felt for the characters, more pain and worry and unease shaped into some of their actions to act even more as red herrings and distract the audience, and the pacing fits to ensure that the action, romance, and then overall the mafia darkness that surrounds each threads are given energy, effort and excellence.  The directors have taken this story further than most do, with their original source. Which is what makes this whole experience special.
While again, the book version of KP isn’t as bad as people say it is, and I give it to the authors for their overall ability to plan and structure it well, I think it also will make us feel a lot of things and understand the weight of the theme of the series which is the corruption and entrapment of this mafia world and the choices and decisions caused by generational trauma that shapes each of the characters arcs and involvement.  I also think there are a few shocking surprises, and deaths coming too, and I think that’s essentially what we expected from KP?  The show very much does however enrich everything and make it worthwhile, there’s so much effort spilled into every episode, and it makes me emotional to see it for this genre, and from where we used to be with this. So, to answer your question I would say yes, the show is better than the book but I’m grateful that the original source of this made gateways and made it easy for a story like this to be created. I’m also grateful to the team who worked to ensure that better representation and eliminating flaws of normal stereotyped Y series contained in the novel, in order to avoid harming the community, because now we have both a really unique story, and also one that can be good for queer media and storytelling worldwide. I think that’s amazing.
Thanks for the question! You made me create a blog from this ha-ha, but I hope you enjoyed reading it. Still reeling from episode 7 and there’s so much, so much to say, breakdown, and analyze, if you have any other questions feel free to come over.
@queenneferadenile @julie-oc here you go :)

Predictions
Given the sheer overload of meta recently, I figured I’d try my hand at doing some guess work pertaining to tomorrow’s episode, and any metas I had planned, I’ll just update & accommodate for post-episode 5. Here we go.
As we all know, the teaser features a conversation between Kinn and his father, Porsche getting the shit beat out of him by Big and Ken, and Kim hitting up Porschay. All these things will be seen in some form this episode, all the good all the bad. Obviously we all look forward to this stuff, but there’s some major clean up to be done after the ending of ep4, and I know it’s gonna be nasty.
For the record, I am ignoring any and all book knowledge I have here, which is already extremely limited. The following content is just my best guess round up of what I think we may see tomorrow.
Kinn is shown on the hotel bed, awake, in a robe, and evidently extremely conflicted. Porsche is still off in dreamland, and in for what is likely to be a very rude awakening. Or not.
I recently saw a theory via anon that Kinn may be kind to Porsche come morning, care for him, and do what he can to fix last night. If that is the case, I still highly doubt they’ll talk about anything. My guess, is Kinn either leaves and Porsche wakes up alone, confused, and in no small amount of pain, or he stays but the morning is just a whirlwind rush of trying to get back to home base, some careful gestures and looks thrown in, but no time to deal and recover.
Kinn... is likely to regret things a little. It’s obvious he’s already harboring some extra-fond feelings for Porsche, and I think he is all too aware of this fact. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have Done That with him the previous night. We know he’s not afraid of brining thingsu p either, given the whole “herbal spirit” convo last time. But this? Is going to buried, deep and made deeper by the fear of knowing Porsche is a weakness, and his father sees that, so does Vegas, so do his friends- and while it seems cute they all know, Kinn faces very real threat from showing any level of affection. Our guy is about to become the most simmering just-under-the-surface blend of horny, angry, and terrified we’ve ever seen, and take it out in all the wrong ways (re: many boytoys and a toxic ex). Talk about Freefall, right?
Porsche is highly unlikely to lash out, I think. I would be very surprised if the “Porsche broods in the shower” clip from the trailer doesn’t make an appearance in the first ten minutes or so. He’ll be confused, lonely, hurt on many levels, and needing answers, fast. Porsche is a people-dependent person. We know he thrives of validation from others, whether that be in bed, bar-tending, or now, his ability as a bodyguard. I doubt he’ll really put effort into seeking Kinn out, but stares with uncertainty of what his strategy is is most definitely on the table. Hence why we see him getting abused by Ken and Big later- Porsche is a weakness, and now we see him showing weakness, and is quickly exploited by the others, namely the guy who also has a crush on Kinn and feels more than a little miffed at being put on the back burner for the crazy new guy.
That said, BOC loves to trick us, so if that shot ends up being a training sequence gone wrong more than anything else, still, I would not be surprised.
Now. Vegas.
Second episode, first appearance, dude swoops in with a crescendo of music and a blind-siding appearance in frame. In episode four, he comes out of nowhere, again, now accompanied by warning alarms despite his friendly visage. (I have a whole meta on Vegas analysis waiting in drafts. Sorry, you’ll have to wait another day or so. I need to get more in depth on the score and editing choices with him.) We know Vegas is a big player here. He has every reason to want to climb, resources, a vendetta, and now a shiny treasure to pursue. Yes, he finds Pete at some point, but much like a Niffler, he just wants the nearest shiny thing. Which currently, is Kinn’s new, oblivious, and too-valuable bodyguard.
Whether we see him again in this episode is debatable, but highly likely. Vegas is waiting for Porsche to leave Kinn (which I do think will happen, Porsche attempting to cut ties to some degree), be heartbroken, and swoop in like a convenient friend who’s always been nice to him, and the past is the past, but how dare Kinn treat you like that? You deserve better. My bodyguards are treated much more fairly. Kinn won’t bother us.
You see where this is going?
Bible has this amazing job of looking absolutely gorgeous but with the beady eyes of a shark waiting to launch upon its unsuspecting prey. It’s the main thing I notice about him in-scene. Vegas has every intention of possessing Porsche. Unless Porsche subconsciously distrusts Vegas with a gut feeling, not just because of his crazy boss’s words (as Porsche is probably not too fond of them two right now), but due to a foggy memory... there’s two ways this could go. Either:
1. Porsche remembers Vegas assaulting him but ultimately sees him as a better option than Kinn regardless, leaning into his offers and sweet words, which is how we get those second family estate scenes from the trailer, or
2. Porsche doesn’t remember, and is even more vulnerable as a result to external manipulation.
Either way, Porsche is clinging on to some very unstable shreds of self-dignity and humor to survive right now. Either way, Vegas has one heck of a golden opportunity. And I can’t wait to see which one it’ll be.
And I apologize to my anxiety and blood pressure ahead of time. It’s about to be through the roof.
On a more light hearted note... Kim Porschay!!!
I’ve seen more than a couple posts concerned about their age difference. I highly doubt we’ll get anything beyond a 13+ rated BL content from these two- think 2gether levels of innocence. Barcode is young, but he also has a character to play. Just means it’ll be a bit more censored. But the beginnings of romance will be there.
Kim is still in full murder board. My official opinion: I don’t think he thinks Porsche is the mole. And if he does, he won’t for more than a couple episodes tops. I think he is trying to uncover some deep-buried crime that when solved could send a frickin huge earthquake through the Thai underworld.
Kim calls up Porschay, I bet. They’ll meet up and, again, it’ll either go Porschay being adorable and spilling how lost, alone, and naive he is in this and Kim either trusts him or doesn’t at all, or Porschay is a more Porsche brand of oblivious and fails to not seem incredibly suspicious by sheer accident. Either way, these two will up the dose of doe-eyed stares and blinding smiles. I am so here for their wholesome content it’s not even funny.
Now for some less-major thoughts...
If Jom shows back up, Tem is likely not far behind. Will Time (and maybe Tay, regardless) come find Porsche at Yok’s bar if he leaves? Will those two hit it off? We know so little of Tem’s character right now that it’s hard to really guess at anything. But I bet they meet in the bar again.
Or at some pink drink place at a mall somewhere by total “accident” I mean who knows.
I’d love to see Uncle Chan again, because he just seems great. Definitely praying for a Porsche and Porschay reunion. Man if Kim meets Porsche though... oh ho ho. Guitarboy better not let those stares go unchecked because I don’t think Porsche is so destroyed that he won’t notice someone pursuing his brother.
Unless, option B, Porschay keeps it all a secret from Porsche and just says he has his usual friends and nearly gets kille cause Porsche doesn’t know where he is and they meet and... hoo boy it’s gonna a plot device, I can tell
Ramblings over folks! In Summary: Porsche resentful and depressed, Kinn Horngry and repressed, KimPorschay wholesomeness, and Vegas being the hottest shark-looking mofo I’ve ever had to good fortune to virtually gaze upon.
Feel free to add, argue, or applaud my thoughts in the comments, I love responding and getting feedback. I think any avenue for thought rn in these t-minus however many hours is beneficial. There’s only so muc smut we can mainline before losing it.
Anyway, back to my fics. I have one about the whole KinnPorsche KimPorschay thing, and I’m hoping the new episode doesn’t discourage me from continuing it. It has a lot of crack potential.
If you made it this far, hi, I love you, get some rest, drink some water, try to accomplish a real life task. Just something small before we all waste the day on KP tomorrow. Many hugs!! Blessings!!! Happy May!!!

Funny how you all once again blame kinn for porsche running away with vegas. Porsche always says kinn doesn't trust him but does he trusts kinn? Not at all! Till untill ep10 he chose vegas every single time over kinn. When your bf says to you please don't trust vegas he doesn't even asks why and doesn't believe kinn who he has rs with but believes vegas so it's rich coming from porsche to say kinn is the one with no trust. We see kinn grow bc he let porsche go with vegas but porsche still doubts
I don’t blame Kinn for Porsche running away with Vegas, I was just showing why it made sense in Porsche’s mind. Still the root of the problem is that Porsche didn’t trust Kinn enough (or trust Kinn to resist tawan). That’s on him. But it is also Kinn’s mistake to not let Porsche in on the plan. They both made a mistake that lead to all this misunderstanding. Kinn shows Porsche that he trusts him in this ep (which is his development from ep 7) - but this ep was about Porsche reaching that same level of development and trusting Kinn.
I have said it before - when Porsche said “you never trust me” in ep 10, it wasn’t true. He was just saying that bc he was cut that Kinn didn’t tell him the plan. But Porsche soon realises (when Kinn kisses him) that Kinn actually did trust Porsche this whole time. The kiss is like a mutual apology and compromise between them. After this Porsche will not doubt Kinn again - that’s part of his arc.
Btw - Porsche didn’t “choose vegas every single time over kinn.” This is just wrong. First of all, Porsche can’t just tell Vegas to fuck off or ignore him (Vegas is a Theerapanyakul and Porsche is a subordinate). Secondly, the only time Porsche willingly did anything with Vegas was that bike ride in ep 4 - and we all know that Porsche was deeply hurting from Kinn. Vegas swoops in whenever Porsche is hurt to take advantage of him. The second thing was when he was forced to work with Vegas in ep 7, which Porsche didn’t want to do, but Korn ordered him to. So I really don’t know what you mean about “Porsche choosing Vegas over Kinn” because Porsche has never initiated or reciprocated a single thing with Vegas.
Yes, Kinn said “don’t trust Vegas” - but do you know Porsche? He is not the type to do something/not do it just bc someone tells him. Porsche’s philosophy is “if he hasn’t harmed me, I won’t harm him.” Simple as that. Before ep 10 Vegas has only been nice to him personally, and no one told him why/how Vegas was a threat. Yes, Porsche is naive, but it’s not bc he trusts or even likes Vegas. He just goes off his own experiences. Just bc Kinn is his boyfriend doesn’t mean he has to follow all his orders, especially when Porsche thinks it’s just petty competitiveness with the second family.

Hey, it's the Anon-who-started-Kinnporsche again ^^
Ok so I wasn't planning to drop a comment everytime I watched an episode lol but I just finished episode 6 and you were right damn it was so good! I loved seeing them being so goofy with eachother and then also managing to have serious conversations, and that they had to learn to compromise and work together since they were literaly stuck together. One of the thing that stood out the most for me was how well balanced the episode as a whole was, as in it started in a pretty humorous way despite their situation and it gradually became more and more serious, the same way they gradually got more "serious" into their relationship, which finally gave them the courage to actually talk about their relationship and for Kinn to apologize for his big fuck up. The contrast between the two rock paper rock cisors showcase so well imo (i literaly gasped when Porsche changed to scissors in the second one, like damn my boi !). And the symbolism with the handcuffs with Kinn learning to let Porsche go :((((((( I actually had seen this last scene in gifs, but damn I still wasn't prepared to be hit so hard like the actors' performance were so good!!
Also I remembered in episode 4 (I think), I loved the scene where Porsche tells Big off for expecting him to be shocked that Kinn is gay (and I was actually pleasantly surprised they actually adressed homophobia, as I initially thought that this was just the kind of fictional world where everyone is gay and no one cares, not that I wouldn't have liked that either lol). But I also felt so bad for Big bc he looked so devastated :( ? Was it because, as Kim had implied, he is actually in love with Kinn and thought "oh damn Kinn is gonna fall so hard for this guy and now I don't even have anything against him" ?
YESSSSSSSSSS! I'm so excited to read your reaction!
Ep 6 is honestly soooooo good. You're right, it's incredibly well balanced. And because the plot is driven by the progression of Kinn and Porsche's relationship, it's the show at its best.
Seeing them be goofy together! Yes! The best! And seeing Kinn just get to be himself and have fun with Porsche? Honestly so needed (for the viewer and Porsche) and gives you so much better an understanding of the mask Kinn has to put on daily to survive and to fulfill his family obligations.
Tumblr media
Look at them! Happy babies!
I really love the way the show allows them room to talk and get to know one another. They have multiple conversations throughout different episodes where they open up. And ep 6 is one of the best examples with the fireside chat, and then again during Kinn's last apology and their talk about how they felt about having sex (and the way it happened). I think my mouth dropped open when Porsche changed his hand to scissors, and then I audibly gasped when Kinn easily released them from the cuffs lol. God, those were both such good reveals. Such a brilliant way of showing through their actions how deeply they had fallen for one another. And Kinn being able to let Porsche go, to essentially say, 'Your happiness is more important than my own' was one of the most beautiful moments of the series. As of course, was Porsche coming back. And you're sooooo right, Mile and Apo are brilliant in that final scene. I feel like big emotions played out by actors get a lot of attention, but subtly is far more challenging. Both of them play subtle emotions insanely well and it's on full display during that scene.
Omg Big. Um... ok. So I will just say that you won't ever get explicit confirmation or an answer to your question, but general fandom consensus is yes. Yes, it's very easy to conclude (as you'll see in future eps) that Big is in love with Kinn and recognized immediately that there was something between Kinn and Porsche. I will really look forward to hearing your thoughts when it comes to how Big's feelings play out. So I do feel during that confrontation in ep 4 that Big was almost hoping Porsche would be an asshole about Kinn being gay. And when Porsche tells him off, Big has this moment of thinking, 'Fuck' and knowing he stood no chance with Porsche properly in the picture.
Also, you know about the bonus hospital scene that comes right after ep 6 and before ep 7, yes? If not, it's HERE and you must watch it. It's the softest, sweetest shit ever.
And thank you so much for sending me your thoughts - I actually squeed!!!

And Yet Again, We’re Fucked ✨
Tumblr media
- Sorry but this chapter's post won't have fanart cause I'm wrestling with my CSP software to save all my art. I am not winning.
I'll try having it fixed by the next post just so I don't lose my mind. But until then, please bear with me. - Joanna.
-—–---------—–------------––---------------------
I want to preface this part of the rant by addressing a few things that I’ve been asked on tumblr about the posts -
1. This was never really meant to be a full fanfic, it was originally a 3k comment that I had sent on one of the fan pages i followed. The reason I uploaded it was because Instagram had a really short word limit and most of the comment was cut off, resulting in me having to individually send the whole thing to whoever wanted to read the full comment. It wasn’t necessarily proper in any way, hence i referred to it as a rant and not a ff. the second part of the rant was meant to be a mere skeleton of how i envisioned Macau and Chay getting their lives tangled up in each other’s. which brings up the next answer.
2. The lack of detail is, or well was, intentional. Just so the reader could imagine at their own pace, add details to whatever part they wanted. It was also meant to depict the underlining derivativity of actual affection and honesty shown to the second family siblings. Everyone already knows Vegas’ side of the story by now, but I didn’t want Macau to be left out. the novel does give his perspective some reading time, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with the dept it portrayed.
3. Hence, all the posts are from Macau's perspective - so far. I felt the need to focus on him, since the series as well as the novel already provided for Chay’s POV. It allows me to create some sort of a time line that runs parallel to the series.
4. In this rant, Macau isn’t very integrated into the dramatic events that happen in the series - in the sense he has no knowledge about some of the stuff that happens with the main family. seeing as I am portraying him as the one always left in the dark, don’t be surprised when I don’t mention a lot of events that pertain to the other couples of the series. it’s pretty understandable. But all the main events will be covered, don’t worry.
5. Do I hate Kim? Yes, I absolutely fucking do. I detest him, very much. the fact that he does what he does, just cause he can, without considering anyone's feelings, irks me to no end. No one asked him to do an entire flog background check, no one even consented to that. He just goes about digging up a past that no one wanted to know. Porsche and Chay seemed to be at peace with their parents death, initially until Porsche’s entire world is flipped upside down and he realizes that he can’t fucking deal with everything changing. But the fact that Kim decided he’d ignore that and ‘find out what really happened’ pisses me off. even Korn knew not to break the siblings bubble until he was forced to. Kim disregarded Chay’s peace just so he can do what? Know everything and then what? Just remember, denial may be tough and annoying to watch, but sometimes it’s what’s preventing a person from becoming the worst they can be. I have so much more to say. But I’m already wasting so much of your time. So I’ll leave this with one last note. Jeff bringing Kim to life, makes me hate Kim so much more. (I absolutely appreciate Jeff, he did an amazing job in making me want to smack the shit outta Kim)
4. There now is a plan to make this a full fanfic, because i’m apparently the easiest person to coerce. But there’s still a bit of internal discussion on how i plan on making it a ff when i’ve already set out the first few chapters of the storyline for you guys. If y’all are still up for it, I don’t actually mind.
As I see it, there's a few ways to go about it:
   a. would be to start all over with dept and details.
   b. would be to continue, but start the details from the next post.
   c. would be to continue with just a skeleton, and then maybe write a whole ff.
   d. would be to just write the skeleton.
I’m open to whatever.
I’m not evil enough to just post a half-hearted QnA so I’ll get on to the rant.
---------------------------
Macau should just leave it alone. he really really really should.
But a few days later, when he opens his Instagram the first post is from Chay’s account. it’s shaky as if the phone was moved just before the camera could click, but noticeably a picture of Kim, who’s playing the guitar.
But what Macau notices, even more, is the background. it’s Chay’s house. Macau is sure of it. A 100%. shaky image and all.
He tells his brother he’s going to the Skate park again, but this time Vegas tells him to take some bodyguards with him. Macau wants to argue, but he’s aware of the situation right now. He knows what happened to his second eldest cousin (referring to the lost-in-the-woods,-but-it’s-not-Kristoff-singing-it scenes) and that the main family suspect them first.
He nods and is taken to the park, but half an hour later Vegas gets a call from Macau’s head bodyguard that he’s run away. Vegas sadly sighs as he tells them he’ll go collect him.
Escaping the guards was a piece of cake according to Macau. He’s done it a couple of times, but his main problem would be the amount of time he has until his brother comes for him. Judging from how loud his father was in the morning, Macau guesses that Vegas is in the warehouse near the east river by now.
20 minutes, give or take.
He sits himself down at the same milk stall he had visited before, waiting - for what he isn’t sure, but he does it.
10 minutes and he’s restless, knees relentlessly trying to keep his feet grounded. He has no idea if they’re still home, or if Kim has left or anything really. He’s wasting his time again.
Nothing.
The 20 minutes go by and he sees nothing. He doesn’t know what he was hoping for, but he feels slightly crushed.
His brother is feeling generous, he thinks. Giving him more than 30 minutes to waste away his time. When Vegas finally arrives he gets into the car without a word. Not sparing another glance at that stupid white gate.
They get home and Vegas stops him from getting out of the car. He reminds him that he doesn’t need to keep an eye on Chay anymore, that he’s already done with his task.
Macau wills himself to resign, for the sake of his sanity brother. He feels bad that he’s also wasting Vegas’ time. He didn’t miss the budding red bruise on his brother’s left cheek. he shouldn’t be troubling his brother like this, Vegas has so much of work to do.
He unfollows Chay.
.
Tumblr media
.
It’s the last two weeks of school, Macau can’t wait to finally be free from that hell hole. He has successfully managed to avoid Chay, actively leaving when the boy is anywhere within his peripheral. if he did manage to do the same in his mental realm, he leaves no comment. Not that Chay noticed.
He’s forced himself into a steady rhythm, chastises himself when he catches his mind reminding him of anything related to Chay. He had dramatically gone and packed up all the one piece manga he got after seeing Chay read one volume. He had also gone the extra mile and told his bodyguards to drop and collect him from the west-end school gate. it’s an extra eight minutes walk to his class, but it’s the path furthest from the music room and Chay’s class, so he does it. grumpily.
In an awful turn of events though, which Macau will surely argue is the universe’s way of fucking him over, yet again. he happens to overhear Chay confessing his love to someone, when he’s on his way to the school gate. his immediate reaction is to duck and hide behind the pillar.
He’s filled with a sudden feeling of unwanted hurt as his heart is pounding away in his ears. he’s going to town on the straps of his bag, surprisingly not ripping them out of the seams, with the force he’s crushing scrunching them in.
He can’t bring himself to look, or move, or even breathe for that matter.
He hears it once, then twice, then thrice, and surely he can’t be going mental enough for his own mind to replay Chay’s words again and again.
He peeks, just to prove his sanity.
And then he’s left confused.
Chay is the only person there.
Just when he thinks he’s actually fallen off the edge into hallucinations, he hears the confession again. But this time he can see that Chay is reading from a piece of paper. Or was it to?
Macau’s been through a lot and judging from his recent plummet into insanity, he’d reckon that to was not so unbelievable.
He’s thrown out of his mental crusade by Chay’s frustrated groans. he watches Chay pace in circles as he animatedly ruffles his hair out in frustration. It’s absolutely fucking adorable Macau’s heart is now beating rent-free in his mouth.
Takes him of while of staring watching to understand that Chay is rehearsing . Chay is rehearsing his love confession. Chay is rehearsing his love confession to Kim.
When his brain catches up to the realization, it’s a blow right to his gut. he feels the bile rise as he’s trying to get himself to calm down. he’s trying to reason with himself that he has no need to be affected by this. no reason whatsoever.
His reasoning is weak solid and absolute bullshit true, he can’t afford to waste his time. this has already taken up so much of his youthful final school year. it also shouldn’t fucking matter to him. Chay is no-one. Chay was just the task he was given. Chay doesn’t even care about him
He crumbles to the floor, knees to his chest. hoping that at least they will hold him from completely coming apart.
Thankfully, his moment is ruined by the sudden blare of a phone ringing. he’s startled, but Chay’s sweet voice cuts through the tone quickly.
From what he overhears, Chay isn’t talking to Kim. it’s a relief, but it’s short lived. He hears Chay enquire if ‘he’ is in the studio today.
The answer must be yes, because when he checks, Chay’s face lights up with the biggest smile Macau has ever seen on him. that stings.
Chay thanks the person on the other end before scrambling to collect his bag and guitar case. He rushes through the hallway, making Macau frantically fling his body into the bushes to narrowly escape being seen.
When he can no longer hear the resonance of running echo through the hallway, he takes out his own phone and texts his brother to send him all the addresses of Kim’s recording studios
------------------------------------------------------------------
Macau in this post is the epitome of ‘faking-it-and-hoping-i-don’t-crash-and-burn- till-i-make-it’.
also talk about organ displacement, poor Macau has had his heart take a paid vacation to smack the shit outta his braincells.
Tumblr media
Also I'm aware this is short as well, and most of it was just me wasting your time. But I didn't want to give a full post (or whatever this was) without knowing if y'all wanted a full ff.
Let me know what you want, so I can continue.

wanna preface this by saying i am NOT trying to be a vegas apologist or downplay anything i am just trying to get the facts straight
but where exactly did the idea that vegas is a rapist even come from?? i know he drugged porsche in ep4, but he explicitly said ‘i dont like to force anybody’ and that he only wanted to mark him up. which ABSOLUTELY is still sexual assault and absolutely wrong. but i feel like people take his reaction after porsche head butted him to mean that he got angry and was going to rape him but got interrupted but like…all he said was ‘oh that’s how you like it?’ and started to get rougher. WHICH IS STILL SEXUAL ASSAULT but there is no explicit indication of intended rape. especially considering that literally in the next scene….we get k*** explicitly r*ping porsche…..
even in the bathroom scene, he tries to make a move on porsche while they’re BOTH drunk (i see lots of ppl say porsche was faking being drunk so this can go either way) which again isn’t great but there’s no indication of attempted r*pe
even with pete. he gets a little handsy in that dungeon, very clear sexual assault, but everyone was saying he was going to r*pe pete if his dad hadn’t walked in and it’s like?????? where does it say that????? he had pete tied up in his room in just boxers at an isolated safehouse with just the two of them and didn’t touch him, but im supposed to believe he was gonna r*pe him in that dungeon???
because the most consistent thing we’ve seen with vegas and sex…..is consent and protection. even with tawan ffs
i cannot stress enough that this is not me trying to be an apologist or to compare vegas and kinn because my god do they both have their severe flaws, but its just insane to me that vegas and vegaspete have this reputation of being rapey when……well you know
So, a lot of it is coming from the fact that I know he does rape Pete in the book and so that's where the scene lead in that version of the universe. Note: I have not read the book but I know enough people who did to know about that.
I also draw a lot less of a line between sexual assault and rape than you do and while I understand that, it also affects how we're using the language. Would Pete have gone into full on rape when he had Porsche drugged up? There is no way to know. Vegas' morals are like most people's and what he considers forcing doesn't have to be the same.
Think about how many people don't think K raped P in that scene. Think about it. How many people argued with that being rape? How many people explained it away as love? How many people would still never admit that it was rape? I bet there's tons out there.
Did Vegas ever commit a rape on-screen? No. He never did. Did he come close? Yes. Was he interrupted? Yes. Could he easily have committed a rape? Yes.
Vegas apologies aren't needed in the same way because he didn't do the thing that he would be so ripped to shreds for but do I doubt that he wouldn't have done them.
I also don't know how drunk Vegas was when he tried to kiss Pete. There's a good chance neither of them was drunk in that moment but thought the other was. That's... that's a whole different thing about deception and how the show frames things and the differences between the relationships of the characters within the meta narrative.
But I absolutely believe that we are supposed to think that Vegas had plans and/or the ability to rape Pete but did not. But I also kind of think the narrative wants us to assume K and P were already in love despite the rape soooo... I just don't trust the narrative of the show, tbh.
For me, I think Vegas has no limits of what he would have or could have done to Porsche and that his only limits with Pete came after the talk about their fathers. I absolutely think rape was on the table the entire time despite saying he didn't want to force anyone because Vegas just doesn't think in the same morality we do.
Again, at least part of this is that most people aren't differentiating between sexual assault and rape, especially with the idea that rape would only mean penetration or the full act of sex.
But a lot of it is also just K-apologists.
