When Gomez Addams obsesses over his tol goth wife who he calls a million pet names, everyone calls them couple goals. But when a gay lil angel does the same thing for her tol demon gf suddenly it's toxic? As if Charlie isn't such a huge enough sweetheart to deserve having someone fawn over her anyways.

I feel like the Otohan situation on a viewer level is very much not taking into account the fact that maybe she was boring to us, the audience, but I KNOW INTIMATELY that feeling of dread on Marisha’s face every time she yelled TRESHI SCRY BALL, like you have not experienced true fear like barely escaping an encounter with an OP Mook that’s going to take your ass down and how exciting/terrifying it is every time they show up no matter how unimportant to the plot they are. Like that was for THEM.
Anyway I swear I’m done having opinions on something I don’t actually care that much about because whatever it was, it was good and the players were emotionally compromised by it in the best way, but lol it does seriously remind me of my gaming days. I have been in that fight with that asshole and I was scared and had fun and had some of the most epic moments from it.

Hi🙂 I have a question. A documentary about diru after 20 years has been available on YouTube for a long time. "Documental of dir en gray 20 years" Could someone make subtitles? is there a translation for it? do You know anything about it? It's great to look at them and listen to them, but it would be even better to know what they say🤔
I can't remember anybody translating it all, and I'm not good for spoken Japanese most of the time. It's funny to see them react to them watching their older footage though!

If I think about Hesh for too long I think I’ll burst into tears. This poor fucking guy. He has to sit helpless while a monster forces his little brother to shoot their dad. All he can do is scream. And when it comes time to kill that monster he barely makes it out alive, and then only thanks to his little brother. And the nightmare is over but it isn’t because the monster cannot die and takes away the only family Hesh has left. He has to sit helpless while the monster drags his little brother away. All he can do is scream.
His story ends bleeding and orphaned and alone.

Here’s what I take from the critical role season 3 dilemmas (and I’m intentionally reading and projecting as far into everything as possible based on what I personally spend my days worrying about):
I don’t think religion in cr3 is a metaphor for real life religions at all. The gods in DND are much more present and directly impactful than real life religious figures in modern life.
The gods in DND / this campaign are basically Greek gods and are a metaphor for power structures (and maybe rich people or celebrities- super powerful people who can essentially make or break your life).
As a society we are at a turning point where people are (or seem) more discontent than ever, genuinely debating if existing government organizations and other powerful figures do anything positive for them, or enough. An immediate follow up to any conversations that conclude “no, they don’t” is: what to do?
The largest fear of any following conversation is: if we did do anything “against” those figures, what happens? How afraid of chaos are we, and how afraid should we be? How much do we take for granted? Is replacing the powerful figures with new individuals or enough, or is that approach cyclical and hypocritical? How comforting do those familiar figures and their security become when you wade a few steps into a challenging and maybe hostile future? What is the moral action if the system in place is bad but the alternative is also horrible? Can positions of power be overthrown and not replaced? If so what does the world look like? Is it worse, better, or different? Can you intentionally turn over one system to another, or do you have to tear the first one down and see what happens?
And all of those are just discussion of the ends. I appreciate Ashton’s comments so far regarding the means.
Anyway this is a huge reach but it’s how I can frame the discussions from this campaign to make the most sense for me.

Actually there is one thing I may legit start doing once I have my social anxiety a bit better tamped down on is when someone's telling me how their kid's just kind of a bum who doesn't have a job and hangs out in their room all day (why the fuck are you telling a stranger, once it was a nurse telling me this stuff and it's like... that's real messed up you're badmouthing your kid to a patient)
I think I'm gonna try and hit them with a "sounds to me like they may be depressed" (cause... it does)
Gonna take some work to feel like dealing with this stuff, but... I think I need to start basically trying to sound sympathetic to the parent, while also reframing it as "it sure sounds like they're struggling and could really use some support right now"
Cause once again... that is literally what it sounds like to me
You fools, you've got no idea you're talking to a fucking worthless loser. I will always go to bat for the isolated fuck up who can't get a job, cause that's just me. Don't bad mouth your kid to someone that's got more in common with you kid than with you, I know what it feels like to be in that situation, I'll always go to bat for them and think you're being a cry baby and need to grow up and actually parent

Idk why but I’m thinking about people’s arguments of ‘well Vickie’s a side character’ to a person liking vickie and liking rockie , and it’s like so weird considering that fandom literally loves to hyper fixate on side characters. And they have fixated on other side characters for less!! Sometimes they get half the screen time vickie did and yet fandom goes fucking wild!!! And I’m not just talking about st : I’m literally talking about any fandom ever. We go fucking wild over side characters it’s literally what fandom does.

Me, minding my business:
My gremlin brain: okay but like, Fai D. Fluorite CLAMP and Caleb Widogast Critical Role are basically the same character in different flavors: both are studious wizards with false names (that essentially become their real ones with their found family+traveling companions knowing them by the false names) running from their past and hide their true emotions, you've got very Plot Important space-time magic involved in their backstories which involve one of the primary antagonists seeking the use of said space-time magic for Nefarious Purposes that affects the main story and the main party doesn't know about until late in the story, those primary antagonists involved in the deaths of their family and placing blame on them/they feel immense blame from it, having at some point some kind of alliance with that primary antagonist who has psychologically manipulated them, their backstories being ANGST CITY BABEY, they are Not Straight and finish their respective series in a m/m relationship having grown hair long enough to put in a ponytail
Me: ... why are you like this
