"I am not going out with Jack, Trevor." Stass punctuated as she spoke, her expression annoyed. She was currently facetiming with her brother when she should've been studying for her Chemistry midterm.

Her macbook was wide open as she laid in her bed, looking at the call. She knew the only reason he had been calling was to address those stupid rumors online.

"I know you aren't, he woulda told me." Trevor leaned back in his chair, a frown playing on his lips as he glanced at his sister on the screen. "He was flirting with you, though."

"Yeah, so what?" Stass responded. She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Hasn't he always flirted with me, why's it a big deal now?"

"You know why, Stass." Trevor sighed, his frustration evident. You did know why, but it was just another baseless rumor from when you two were teenagers, it didn't matter.

"Luke does not like me, okay?"

It had been a joke since Stass had met the brothers that somehow, she were gonna end up dating one of them. Stass never how that started but all she knew is that it pissed her and Trevor off, because it wasn't true. Well, for the most part.

"Look, I'm not saying he does or doesn't. I'm just saying you have to be delicate when it comes to these kinda things, especially after this summer, with the whole lake house thing-"

"Stop saying that."

"Stop saying what?" Trevor's eyebrows raised, his tone annoyed as he waited for Stassie to continue.

Stassie's frustration bubbled to the surface. "Stop bringing up the stupid lake house incident like it's some kind of defining moment in our lives. It was just a misunderstanding, and we've moved on from it. Besides, Luke and I are fine. We've always been fine."

"Dude, relax. I'm not saying you guys aren't fine or whatever, stop getting so goddamn defensive. I'm just saying this entire situation is just sensitive for Luke, alright, tread lightly."

Stass didn't feel like arguing right now, especially over this stupid topic. She should be studying for her midterm but this situation seemed to keep coming up. "Luke is fine. But okay, whatever. I won't stir the pot anymore."

"Just be how you are, you know? Just minus the flirtiness." Trevor sighed. "I guess rizz is just hereditary."

"I can't believe you just said rizz out loud, Trevor. That was so cringe." Stass rolled her eyes as she looked back at the screen, her brother laughing back at her.

"Shut up. But I gotta go, I have an early practice tomorrow."

"Okay, Trev. I'll talk to you later, goodnight. I love you."

"Love ya too-"

She hung up quickly and shut her macbook, sighing. She could not believe that this whole thing was caused by a few comments left by Jack, they were meaningless. At least, that was what she was trying to convince herself. Before she could open her macbook to study again, she heard a knock from her door.

"Come in."

Parker came into the room quickly, "Hey Stass."

Stassie eyed Parker suspiciously as he entered the room, her eyebrows knitting together in curiosity. "Hey, Parker. What's up?"

Parker gave her his best charming smile as he approached her bed, taking a seat beside her. Stassie resisted the urge to roll her eyes as he continued, "Listen, I need a favor. The guys and I are going to a party after the game on Friday, and I know you swore off alcohol, but can you still come with us?"

Stassie furrowed her brows, sensing there was more to his request. "I was already planning on going to the game, you know that-"

"Okay great, can you bring your short friend? Shit, what's her name... Uhh... Samantha?"

Stassie's brow furrowed in confusion. "I don't know a Samantha, do you mean Chloe?"

Parker scratched his head, looking momentarily flustered. "Yeah, Chloe! That's the one. Can you take her? She's really pretty and I wanna get to know her."

"Why don't you be a man and just dm her?" Stass half joked as she stared back at him.

"Shut up, dude and just do me a favor, alright?"

Stass shrugged, knowing Parker well enough to understand his banter. "Alright, alright fine. But she's way outta your league. Like wayyy outta your league."

Parker rolled his eyes, playfully swatting at Stassie's arm. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, Stass. But you miss 100% of the shots you don't make."

She couldn't help but shake her head at Parker's attempt at motivational quotes. "Yeah, well, just don't embarrass yourself too much, okay? Chloe's not exactly easy to impress."

Parker grinned confidently. "Oh, don't worry about me. I've got charisma for days."

Stass cringed once again before she sighed. "Whatever, can you leave now, I'm tryna study."

Parker chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, I'm out. Thanks, Stass."

"You owe me a vodka soda Friday night." Stass smiled as she looked up at the brunette.

"I thought you swore off alcohol-"

"That was last week, okay? Now leave before I change my mind." Stass flashed a playful grin as she spoke, watching Parker get up and walk towards the door.

"Okay, whatever."

"I think I'm gonna step out for a sec, Chloe. I'll see you two later." Stass took that as her cue to leave before she wiggled her eyebrows at Parker, walking away from her two friends. Now that her mission was complete, she had to go find some water. She has had one too many vodka sodas and she didn't wanna be hungover tomorrow morning.

As she searched the entire house for any sign of water, she soon gave up and sighed. This was a frat house, the only thing they had was beer and chips everywhere, what was she expecting? As she stumbled through the crowd, trying to find an exit, she felt someone grab her arm.

Before she could pull away, she looked up at the tall figure and realized it was only Luke. "By any chance, do you know where I can find some water that isn't from a sink?"

Luke smiled as he nodded, "Yeah I'll take you, they have some bottles up stairs."

Relieved, Stassie let out a grateful sigh. "Thank you, Lukey. I owe you one." The nickname rolled off her tongue easily as she spoke.

Luke offered her his arm, guiding her through the crowded house with ease. Stassie couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in his presence, despite the chaotic atmosphere surrounding them. As they reached a quieter hallway, Luke opened a door to a room with a small table stacked with water bottles.

"Here you go," Luke said, handing her a bottle with a knowing smile.

"Thank you, Luke. You're officially my hero tonight," Stassie said, taking a grateful sip from the water bottle.

Luke chuckled, leaning against the wall. "Anytime. So, why'd you need water so urgently? Too many vodka sodas?"

Stassie laughed, feeling a bit more at ease. "You know me too well. Parker talked me into it. Long story."

Luke raised an eyebrow, curiosity evident in his expression. "Parker causing trouble again, huh?"

Stassie nodded, taking another sip. "Always. But hey, at least I'm not stumbling around looking for water like an idiot anymore. Thanks for saving me."

Luke's smile widened, genuine warmth in his eyes. "Anytime, Stass. Just take care of yourself, okay?"

There was a sudden silence between the two as they looked at each other, Luke's gaze warm and Stass' was a little... uncertain? They had been friends for a long time, but there was something different in the air tonight, something Stassie couldn't quite put her finger on. Like the lake house.

As the silence stretched, Stassie's heart rate quickened, unsure of what to say next. She shifted uncomfortably, trying to read the expression in Luke's eyes. She felt a subtle flush creeping up her cheeks, breaking the moment with a nervous laugh.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll be fine. Just need to pace myself better next time," she said, trying to brush off the odd tension that had momentarily settled between them.

"So, you and Jack have been talking?" Luke finally had ripped the bandaid as he studied Stass' movements and her expression, which had shifted from uncomfortable to slightly annoyed.

"Not more than usual, why?"

"What do you mean, why? I'm just asking, Stass." Luke seemed to be getting defensive too as his eyebrows knitted.

Stass sighed, feeling the tension between them mounting. "It just feels like you're prying, Luke. What's with the sudden interest in my conversations with Jack? And you guys are brothers, if you're so interested, ask him."

"It's not about that, Stass. You know that. We just never got over what happened at the lake house, or at least I thought we didn't."

"What happened, Luke? We kissed, so what? It's not like I'd do anything with Jack anyway. And plus, you're the one that hooked up with that other girl, not me." Stassie shot back, her annoyance evident in her expression.

Luke's jaw tightened, a defensive glint in his eyes. "We're not talking about me right now, Stass. We're talking about you and Jack. And don't deflect this onto something else."

"There's nothing to talk about, Jack's always been flirty with me and it's always been a funny joke until now. If you have a problem with it, talk to him, he's your brother."

Luke's gaze hardened, a flicker of hurt crossing his eyes. "It's not just about Jack. It's about us, about our friendship. You act like the kiss at the lake house meant nothing."

Stassie rolled her eyes, her impatience showing. "Luke, we were drunk, it was a momentary lapse in judgment. We've moved past it, or at least I thought we did."

"Fuck, Stass." Luke ran his fingers through his curly hair before letting out an annoyed sigh. "Fine, then. We can move on."

"Luke, I like our friendship." Stass sighed, defeated. "I don't wanna make it into something awkward, something that can get in the way of an already amazing friendship. Things are just better that way, okay? And we just forget that stupid kiss ever fucking happened and move on?"

Luke's expression softened, hurt evident in his eyes. "Yeah, okay. We can move on."

Stassie nodded, a sense of relief washing over her. "Great. So, can we just put this behind us and focus on being friends?"

Luke offered a small smile, his tone gentle. "Yeah, of course. Friends it is."

"Great, now, let's get back to the party before Parker starts freaking out." Stassie suggested, eager to shift the focus away from their tense conversation.

Luke chuckled, the tension between them dissipating. "Yeah, good idea. Last thing we need is Parker going on one of his rants again."

"You guys left me again, oh my gosh, Luke, I thought I was your favorite freshie." Stass mocked Parker as Luke laughed along, opening the door as the two of them made their way downstairs.

The rumor that spread like hot fire was that Juliette was having an inappropriate relationship with Toto Wolff.

Which was false, Toto was like a father figure to Juliette but the fans didn’t care, booing her and trending hate for her on Twitter.

Juliette drove for Redbull for the next season, and is still driving for Redbull.

Juliette is known for being one of the most influential drivers on the grid, for the range of her career.

Juliette has dropped an album and a few singles, she’s a model, an ambassador for Gucci, and she has a YouTube channel with over 10 million subscribers, where she posts all different kinds of content, she’s walked on runways.

“Hey you Ferrari girl !!” You heard Gasly calling you out as he was entering the Ferrari garage , giving you a head pat as you went in to give Kika a big hug welcoming her to the Ferrari pads ~ you might’ve been the youngest being born in 02 but they always treated you well and protected from the horrendous things on media days , enemies on tracks but family off track is a way you can describe it .

they’re always there especially Charles and Carlos and Pierre , you were most close to them you saw them as your brothers in cars. Your brothers were in NHL they had no idea what it was like being in Motorsport especially one that’s more dominated by men …. They never really cared about your passion growing up so you weren’t close to them at all . Quinn was friends with your older brother Bryan and Luke was your best friend in middle school but ever since you moved out to Miami for the tracks and traveling you got to barely speak to him , seeing him through his social media was a way . Not to mention you dated Jack from 8th grade up to 11th grade then again from 2020-2021 as you both reconnected… you broke up due to him not actually caring for you and schedules as you were never off season for summer like him . But to see him become the Center and Captain for his team suprised you despite his poor attitude and lack of understanding people .

— the qualification was postponed for a bit due to the heavy rain, they were preparing to change tires for the wet tires . Changing gears as well , as you were about to walk away to your car, you saw Jack standing up on the paddock looking down at your number 43 - his half number …. you carried that numbers as it was both good luck to you guys - getting situated in the car wasn’t hard like the first few times during winter test when the car was so bad , it was unexplainable painful to ride , Jack running through your mind still , he never was at your games like you were - you had show off today for once .

you were right behind max , you had no issues with max but with Hamilton trying to overtake you was pushing you to the point , you pass overtook max 💀- it just qualification you didn’t budge because you probably wouldn’t win against max after that 😗-

Definitely a way to seek revenge max …. bet , so you chased him into the pads ..

few hours later …..

- you were back at the hotel with Lewis , yes Lewis , you heard me right . We both had an on and off relationship for the past two years … it’s complicated especially with our age gap but end of the day we both know we have each other and understandingly feel calm in the presence of each other’s arms . Tommorow is the big day , not wanting to do anything tonight more , you both ended up falling asleep early , with the bogus of being woken up at 6 am the next morning. ———-

I’ve always been close with my brothers, even when Quinn and Jack left to play in the NHL. Everyone thought I would either follow Jack to Jersey for University or that I would stay home in Michigan and spend more time with my baby brother once he was out of high school.

Unlike my brothers I play volleyball. I used to play both hockey and volleyball. I got offered a scholarship to play hockey at University of Michigan. I ended up getting offered a scholarship at University of California to play volleyball, which is why I think my family thought I would choose to stay and play hockey in Michigan.

I loved playing both sports in high school and honestly it was a hard decision to make, but I though playing volleyball in California was better for me, and a plus side Ucla was only a few minutes from the beach, which means I could get a tan all year round.

I still play hockey during the summers sometimes for fun with my brothers and their friends.

Volleyball means a lot to me and a lot of people though I was making the wrong choice when I decided to play volleyball instead of hockey, since my whole family plays hockey. Thankfully my family and friends supported me, I can’t thank them enough. My parents visit me as much as they can to see me play. Along with Jack and Quinn, they come and see me play if I have a game the same days they are in Anaheim and if they have time.

Trevor and I never got along, then I moved to California, and so did he when he started playing for the ducks. Since he didn’t know anyone in the beginning we started to hang out, we got close and after a while we started dating. I never told my family, the only one who knew was Alex when he first moved to LA we couldn’t keep it from him, since we hung out with him a lot, then recently we started arguing a lot, it was like we just went back to the beginning, and he ended up breaking up with me. I was hurt, but he’s my twins best friend so I can’t tell my brothers.

Now I just finished my junior year, and I was arriving back in Michigan to spend time with my family for the summer.

The plane just landed in Michigan, and I knew my mom was waiting for me so she could bring me to my brothers lake house. I grabbed my luggage and tried to find my mom, I finally saw her standing and ran over to her and give her a big hug.

“Oh honey, I’m so happy that you’re back home” She said squeezing me tight.

“I’m happy to be home mom” I said before releasing the hug and smiling at her.

“Let’s get you to your brothers they’ve missed you” she said smiling.

My mom led the way to the car. I placed my suitcase in the trunk before sitting in the passenger’s seat.

“I can’t believe they bought a big lake house” I told my mom chuckling. She started laughing.

Well you know your Jack and Quinn, especially Jack, the both of you have always been able to convince anyone to do things.” She said smiling

“It’s a twin thing” I said smirking.

“Oh, it has to be, because Quinn and Luke aren’t” she said chuckling.

“No, they definitely aren’t”

The rest of the drive was spent catching up with my mom, she’s my best friend, I tell her everything, the good and bad.

About 35 minutes later, my mom put the car in parked. There’s about 5 cars in the driveway.

“Who’s already here?” I asked my mom.

“Alex, Cole, Brendan, Dylan, Trevor and I think Matt.” She replied I nodded

“are they all staying here?” I asked hopping I have a room and I don’t have to go live back with my parents while my brother are all staying at the Lake house with our friends.

“Don’t worry Y/n, the first thing Jack and Quinn asked when they bought the house was for me to decorate your bedroom, they also gave you the master so you have a big closet and your own bathroom” she said smiling, making my eyes widened

“What?” I asked surprised, I know my brother’s love me, but I didn’t inspect them to do that. My mom chuckled

“They love you Y/n and they wanted you to live here with them, but they also know that living in a house with boys can be chaotic and they wanted to make sure you were going to be comfortable” my mom said. I nodded happily.

“Now come on, I didn’t tell them exactly what time you were arriving so you could surprise them, so let’s go” my mom said making me chuckle. We went and got my suitcase out of the trunk and made our way to the door we knew the door was going to be unlock even if its only 10h30 in the morning since they usually go to the gym early.

Once we opened the door I heard people talking in the kitchen, so I left my suitcase at the door while my mom and I made our way to the kitchen. I peaked my head and saw everyone was there. I jumped in with my arms up.

“HONEY I’M HOME” I screamed making all the guys jump.

“I think I’m having a heart attack” Cole said with his hand over his heart

“I’m so happy you’re home” Jack said running over to hug me.

“Me too, I missed my twin.” I said smiling

“um, what about us” Luke said pointing to himself and Quinn.

“Get over here” I said mentioning for them to join our hug.

They both made their way over smiling.

“Even though you almost gave me a heart attack, I’m joining the hug” Cole said before joining. The rest of the guys followed soon after except for Trevor.

The boys and I talked to my mom for a few minutes before she left.

“Come on let’s get you to your room” Jack said grabbing my suitcase and going up the stairs.

Once he opened the door and we stepped in the room I was in awe.

“Mom did a really good job decorating.” I said.

“Yeah she did” Jack said smiling.

“I’ll let you get settled in, then I’ll show you around”

“Hey jack” I said when he was about to leave.

“Yeah?”

“Thank you” I said smiling.

“Anything for my twin” he said before leaving the room.

I started unpacking my clothes and putting them in the closet.

“Come in” I said

“Hey just came to chat, if that’s okay?” Quinn asked as he stepped in my room.

“You know I always love our gossiping sessions” I said smiling

“pefect, so what’s new” he said when he laid down on my bed, while I continued to unpack.

“Nothing since the last time we talked.” I said smiling

“Oh really? So what happened to that guy you were dating?” he asked curiously. Quinn Isn’t as protective as Jack is, so I tell him everything, he never judges me.

“umm… it didn’t work out” I said softly, Quinn looked at me sadly, Quinn knew I was dating someone, I just never told him it was Trevor.

“I’m sorry sis, I know you liked him”

“It’s fine, it’s over now. It’s his loss.” I said

“You got that right” he said making me laugh.

“So what about you, did my older brother finally find himself a girlfriend?” I asked

“Nope, I’m good right now, the canucks didn’t really have a great season, so I’m trying to focus more on hockey next season so no time for a girlfriend” he said. I shock my head.

“doesn’t mean you can’t have a girlfriend Quinn” I said. He just shrugged.

We continued to talk until I finished unpacking them we went and joined the rest of the boys outside.

“how’s volleyball” Alex asked me.

“it’s going well, I can’t wait for senior year”

“Think they’ll make you captain?” Cole asked

“No idea”

“They’d be idiots not to make you captain” Jack said

“Yeah, yeah” I shrugged them off.

“well you’re going to be the first one to graduate, since none of your brothers are going to finish college” Matt said

“HEY” all my brothers yelled.

“He’s not wrong” I said smirking.

“You might end up failing your last year and not graduating” trevor said smirking. Jack slapped the back of his head.

“and this is why I can’t stand you” I snapped.

“the feelings mutual” he replied

I just rolled my eyes.

No one felt like cooking diner, so the boys decided to order pizza. When it started to get dark out we all went and sat by a fire, and drank a few drinks before we all made our ways to bed. I did my nighttime routine and got into bed. after about an hour I still couldn’t sleep so I made my way downstairs to the kitchen to make myself a glass of tea hoping it will help me fall asleep.

I wasn’t paying attention while I was making my tea, when I turned around I saw Trevor sitting on a stool looking at me, it scared so I jumped back putting my hand on my chest.

“Dammit Trevor, you scared the shit out of me”

“Sorry” He said innocently, I just rolled my eyes.

“Why are you up?” I asked him

“Couldn’t sleep, you?”

“Same, I though some tea might help” I said, he just nodded before going on his phone.

“Are you going to be an ass to me all summer?” I ask

“Maybe” He said shrugging.

I rolled my eyes.

“I hate you” I replied

“Not what you said when we were dating” he said smirking

“You’re lucky I never told any of my brothers about us, and that Alex actually kept our secret” I said shaking my head and made my way to my room, so I didn’t have to deal with him any longer. I can’t believe I fell in love with that guy.

I turned on Netflix and drank my tea, once I was done with my tea I tried to fall asleep.

………….

The next morning when I woke up I took a shower and got ready for the day, once I was done I texted my mom to see if she wanted to go out with me for breakfast and she agreed. I made my way downstairs hoping one of my brother’s would let me borrow one of their cars since mine is in California.

Jack and Quinn were sitting at the dining table eating breakfast.

“Hey, can I borrow one of the cars? I’m going to go out for breakfast with mom” I asked. Jack nodded handing me his keys.

“Thank you, I love you both and I’ll see you later” I said before leaving.

Once I picked up my mom and we made It to the restaurants my mom could tell something was wrong since I was quiet the whole drive.

“What’s wrong Y/n” she asked curiously

“What? Nothings wrong” I lied.

“You’re my daughter I can tell when somethings wrong”

I sighed

“I didn’t get much sleep last night” I said

“Why is that?”

“I just couldn’t sleep” I said, she gave me a look that said really.

“Fine it’s Trevor again, he’s an ass, for some reason I thought It might be different this summer but it’s not.” I said.

“did something happen in Anaheim? I know you guys were more civil than before” she said softly. Which made my eyes water. Am I really about to cry over him?

“Honey, what happened” my mom asked worried.

“A lot… we ended up getting close, and then we started dating, he was amazing but then before the season ended… he just became a jerk again and ended up breaking up with me. I don’t know what I did wrong mom.” I said as a tear rolled down my cheek. My mom reached over the table and grabbed my hand.

“Oh honey, it’s not your fault. Why didn’t you tell me?” she asked me softly.

I shrugged “I didn’t want the risk Jack to find out, the only one I told was Alex because he lives in LA and I knew he’d never tell Jack if I asked him to” I said

“Do you think maybe he broke up with you because you were both going to be here this summer and so jack wouldn’t find out?” she asked

“I don’t know… but mom I love him… I just wish he’d feel the same way” I said

“I’ll I can say, is if it’s meant to be it will all work out. Maybe try and talk to him, maybe you can figure out why he broke up with you in the first place.” She said and I nodded

“Yeah” I said

We ordered breakfast and continued talking about our plans for the summer. Once we were done I dropped my mom at home before making my way to the Lake house.

When I got in the house everyone was awake, they were all in the kitchen except for Alex who was sitting in the living room watching tv.

“hey, where were you?” Alex asked when I sat down next to him on the couch.

“went for breakfast with my mom”

He nodded.

“Are you really not going to tell Jack about what happened between you and Trev” he whispered.

“No, Jack would kill him”

“Exactly, I want to kill him, I’ll help” he said looking at me like I’m crazy.

“Please don’t say anything… I want to try and talk to Trev, ask why he did it” I said

“Fine, you’re lucky I love you” he said hugging, making me chuckle.

I spent the rest of the day with the boys. It was now Midnight and everyone went up to their room except for Trevor and I.

“What’s up with you? You barely talked today” Trevor said.

“Nothing” I said annoyed, why does he suddenly care about me.

“You know what never mind, why do I even try to be nice?” he scoffed making his way out of the room.

I just stood there with my eyes watering, when suddenly Quinn came down the stairs and saw me. He looked at me worried.

“What’s wrong?” He asked coming over to me.

“Nothing” I said on the verge of tears.

“Come with me” He said grabbing my hand and dragged me outside on the patio.

We sat down on the outdoor couch. And I leaned my head on his shoulder.

“Now do you want to tell me what’s been bothering you, you’ve been off all day?” he asked worriedly

“Quinn I’m fine”

“No you’re not, I literally just came down the stairs to see you almost start to cry… I walked pass Trevor when I came down, did he say something?” he asked. As soon as he mentioned Trevor I started to cry. Quinn hugged me tighter.

“Shhh… it’s okay let it out”

“I’m an idiot” I said

“What no, Y/n what did Trevor say? I know he can be an ass to you but he never made you cry before, so what happened?”

“I can’t tell you”

“You can either tell me or I go ask Trevor myself… or better yet I get Jack” Once he Mentioned Jack I looked at him scared.

“No you can’t say anything to Jack.”

“Then start talking, I just want to know what happened sis” he said caringly

“Trevor was… he was the guy I told you about” I said. His eyes widened

“I’m sorry… what?” he asked confused.

“When he first got to Anaheim we became close, after a while we started dating… he was amazing Quinn, he was honestly the best boyfriend ever… but then right before the season ended he broke up with me… he never even gave me a reason why then I get here and he’s a jerk to me again, and then earlier he suddenly asked what was wrong and I said nothing… because… well I wasn’t about to tell him that I’m still heartbroken over him and that I still love him… he said and I quote ‘You know what never mind, why do I even try to be nice’” I confessed. I could tell he was shocked.

“I’m sorry sis, I really wish I could tell you what to do, but I don’t”

“I know just… promise me you won’t tell anyone? Please.” I begged.

“I promise, just know you can talk to me if you need to okay” he said and I nodded.

Little did I know Trevor was standing at the door and he heard the whole conversation. When I looked at Quinn, he was looking angrily at something behind me, I turned around to see Trevor.

“Can we talk?” Trevor asked me.

I nodded

“I’ll leave you guys to talk, but Trevor, you better not hurt her, or I will tell Jack” Quinn threatened before going inside.

Trevor sat at the same place Quinn was sitting and just looked at the lake.

“Did you really want to talk or are you just going to sit there and stare at the late?” I snapped.

He sighed before looking at me sadly.

“I’m sorry about everything… I never wanted to hurt you, I just… I was scared about what would Jack say if he ever found out we were dating… so I just called it off before we came here. Thinking everything would be okay… but it’s not… I hurt you and that’s the one thing I never wanted to do… I love you to Y/n, more than you’ll ever know.” He said sofly before linking our hands together.

“Why didn’t you just tell me that from the start… it could have fixed both of our broken hearts”

“I was scared… I’d love for us to try this again, we could tell everyone, and if Jack tries to kill me, well at least I’ll die happy” he said smiling softly. I chuckled.

“Jack loves you to much to kill you, the most he’ll do is punch you” I joked making him laugh.

“I love you Y/n” he said looking at me

“I love you too Trev” I said smiling.

He leaned in and kissed me. Our lips moved in sync. When we pulled away we were both smiling and breathing heavy.

“ABOUT DAM TIME” Alex yelled making us turn around to see all the boys watching us, including Jack.

“Jack…” I started but he cut me off.

“Don’t as long as you’re happy, I’m happy but Trevor if you hurt her, we won’t be friends anymore, understood?” Jack told us, making us nod

“Perfect, now I need details” Cole said making everyone laugh.

do u have any tips of how to start your own aus/ au blog??

my main tip when posting any type of content is going to: tag! it may be obvious, but i feel like it can sometimes be looked over. this is how people are going to find your work and how you’re going to grow your blog in general. with tagging though, please be mindful to keep the tags to only things related to whatever content you’re posting. for example, don’t tag a jack au with trevor zegras when he’s not mentioned at all. not only does it clog the tag, it can be confusing.

honestly, 90% of my aus spawned from blurbs that i had no intention of continuing (baby beech, baby moyle, jurajxolder!reader, etc.) until someone was like ‘hey, i liked this. can we have more?’ with that being said, don’t be afraid to post your own ideas! like the first au that was started completely by me was hb x angel and i was just like, ‘hey, i have this idea. what do you think about it?’

and the really fun thing about aus is that they are literally alternate universes! so you already have the freedom to make them whatever you want to be! just have fun with it and let your ideas take you wherever you want :)

2) What is your favorite fic of yours?

I mean, the real answer is all of them, lbr, but I'm really proud of trouble at my door (the necromancer au!!) because I love the worldbuilding I did, and it's basically the first case fic I ever wrote, and fight scenes that don't lead to sex!!! And a really good sex scene, too, if I do say so myself

3) What fic of yours do you think is underrated?

Hmmm, there's a couple answers for this, one of which is trouble at my door again, lol, but probably (this one) to the grave - it's an ultra rarepair (Chris Kreider/John Tavares), but I love the werewolf worldbuilding I dit, and sometimes I think about revisiting it

4) What fic of yours were you surprised by how popular it was?

Oh, probably any Tkachuks or Hughes (or Fantilis now, I guess lol) fic that gets over like 20 kudos or more than a couple comments, tbh. I get so much pushback from fandom (anon and otherwise) about writing it that it's always weird to me if they do well in that way

6) Do you outline your fics? If so, how?

I do not usually - for a series, I'll make notes as I go so I don't Joss myself, and if there's a case (so basically, necromancer au and in death au lmaoo) I make notes about it, but usually I just have an idea - what if Thom Bordelau was a necromancer? What if Jack Eichel was a crime lord? What if Trevor Zegras was a werewolf? and on and on forever - and then I sit down and start writing it to see what happens. After a few hundred words I mostly know how I want it to end, and what happens to get there. But I don't outline it the way plotters generally do - I tried before, when I was still figuring out my process for writing, but when I do write done everything like that first I don't want to write it anymore because the story feels told to me then, and my brain's satisfied.

8) Do you take inspiration from real life? If so how do you incorporate it into your fics?

Yeah, some - I think to a certain extent every writer does, we can't help it. As for how it ends up in fics...I think it's mostly little things, like. Someone's favorite song or drink - large iced mocha, extra chocolate from DD baybee (Turcs fave btw) - the way they tilt their head to the side when they ask questions, how impatient they are with people sometimes.

I do bring a lot of sex/kink/bdsm experience to my fic, too, I think - not necessarily in the sense that I write everyone having the same kinks as me, but I've been around kink and dungeons almost my whole adult life so there's stuff I know how to write that I'm not always into, and it makes it easier to have seen it done irl, or know someone who's into whatever I'm writing.

It also means I get a lot of people poking at me, through their own fic or in my inbox, about stuff that I've written, but at least there's hardly any death threats any more, unlike when I first started writing bdsm AUs/fics 😂😂😂

14) What is something you wrote in a fic that you are hoping readers picked up on but you don't know if they did? And/or, what is something that you were excited that readers did pick up on?

Oh this is such a good question - there's a couple, really, one of which is in (take this) to your grave by the end of that fic John's a very specific kind of crazy, and I love when readers picked up on that ❤️❤️❤️ there's also a part in the godlings verse where it's explained why Auston always looks so cranky when he's in Toronto (it's because he's the son of Apollo and he loathes cold weather lol) and I love the couple people who picked up on it 💕💕💕

Summary: They totally quarantined in some cabin (aspen maybe) away from the world. Summary: AU-ish. Jamie is the Captain of an NHL Team, taking the Summer to rent a Cabin in the woods to relax after a busy season.

Summary: Established Relationship. TK and Nolan decide to rent a hunting and/or fishing cabin for a few weeks to get away from, well, there's a lot to get away from in 2020. Could be set pre or post playoff bubble. They just need some time for themselves, spending hours on the lake, living the quiet, simple life. Cuddles, chirps, and TK's life goal of making Nolan laugh.

Brock Boeser/Elias Pettersson

Summary: At the end of the season, Brock accidentally finds out (from Quinn?) that Elias is in love with him. When he finally gets Elias to visit him at his lake house in Minnesota, he tries to let Elias know that he's interested without directly saying it. Elias meanwhile is so distracted by worrying that he doesn't fit in with Brock's Minnesota friends that he has no idea Brock is flirting with him.

Poly: Cole Caufield, Jack Hughes, Trevor Zegras, Spencer Knight

Summary: ‘19 ndtp get snowed in while doing a team building program (not stranded, have communication with coaches and everything, no injuries, just snowed in). cue idiot boys being oblivious, varying levels of heat via nationality, and way too much napping. and someone inevitably falling in a frozen lake. (tags limited me. i don’t care who. it can be poly for all i care.)

Ben Bishop/Anton Khudobin

Summary: Anton takes Ben to his cabin in russia on the off season because... he can. Ben isn't prepared for actually how cold it is there, and Anton is all so happy to help him out. chaotic fluff ensures

New Jersey Devils Ensemble

Summary: Maybe renting a cabin in the Pine Barrens isn’t the best idea, when there’s a 300 year old monster lurking in the woods. Or is it?

(The Devils’ season isn’t going well, so during the bye week a couple of guys decide that renting a cabin and summoning their namesake, the Jersey Devil, is exactly what they need to jumpstart their second half. How it goes is up to you!)

Summary: rare pair friends-to-lovers go to person A's cabin for (insert span of time) and get lost in the forest. a gaggle of cryptids, hand holding, and a few kisses later they make it out of the forest and back to the cabin. talks about feelings and a few more kisses later, its time to go home 😔

Philadelphia Flyers Ensemble

Summary: I'm envisioning a large majority of the flyers org in a cabin in the woods doing cabiny shit and all around just being generally stupid and loving their team and what not. kind of like a "guys weekend" vibe or a "last horah" before the season starts. i imagine a lot of weird side plots. some one gets lost. this is not entirely helpful and i'm very sorry. but i just basically am saying i would love a chaotic flyers ensemble story where they're in a cabin and lots of shenanigans its ensuing.

Unspecified Pairing

Player A, a North American, is kind of tired of hearing Player B, a European, drone on and on and on and on about how great their homeland is. When Player B suggests off-hand that Player A should come visit in the off-season, Player A accepts, if only to get B to stfu about it finally.

Turns out that their homeland is actually pretty nice. Turns out they're also a little in love.

Could be any pairing, but here are a few suggestions: Nico Hischier, any of the Swedes (Brock/Petey??), Sid/Geno. There could also be roadtrip shenanigans (maybe a camper van??)

Summary: The off-season is usually a time for summer cabin fun. When player A is injured and requires surgery, he spends time recouperating at Player B's cabin. Player B takes on the caring nursing role and feelings develop.

ok ok i don't have any specific questions but tell us about some hockey/fic thoughts about whichever player(s) are currently living rent free in your brain

i always have many many many many fic thoughts in my brain and i’m trying to think of one i haven’t shared with you yet!! i think a lot about an au that is more a premise and less of a plot, so i don’t think i’ll ever write it, that me and @cactusandfir talked about a while ago.

fate is hockey fate of course but i kinda wonder if the fates mixed up the 2015 draft because like connor and dylan and mitch seem destined for each other’s teams. connor could’ve done without the weight of a franchise, and mitch could’ve done with a place far away from home, and dylan could’ve done with a team where he knows people (and a team that had a young presence) already. what i’m saying is that i think a lot about a world where connor went to arizona, dylan went to toronto, and mitch went to edmonton, and how it feels like it could’ve been more of a fit. phoenix isn’t a hockey town, and i think it would do a lot for connor’s nerves to not have to play where gretzky’s name is so entwined. that legacy is heavy!! meanwhile, staying closer to home and playing on such a young n talented line seems right up dylan’s alley, plus he’s got travis dermott there to be a friend. on the total opposite side of the spectrum, mitch should’ve gotten distance a little. i know playing for a hometown team is a big amazing thing but what if!! he could’ve gotten to stretch his wings a little more!! what could’ve happened!! there is no plot so i won’t write it but it’s fun to play around in

OH. you’ll appreciate this one. wjc werewolves (cc: @workingforitallthetime)!! i was reading about how the canada team spent like 52 days together and had the whole rollercoaster of emotions playing the tournament, losing the tournament, and then almost immediately flying away, and just like. that’s SO MUCH. after almost TWO MONTHS of that bonding, to just LEAVE after such a LOSS (or a win). what if they all turned at the beginning of quarantine, so they all bonded together as a pack because that’s what you need as a baby wolf, and that’s who was there, and it’s good team building anyway. but it’s all fun and games until you have to leave each other, and then it’s very very bad. in my mind, i borrow the plane the kings/ducks commissioned for their six prospects and reappropriate that idea for the players i decided to learn about after the tournament was over. it’s fiction and it’s my fiction so: we’re gonna put dylan cozens, bowen byram, kirby dach (i KNOW he was injured and didn’t go but again: fiction plus he was there for some of the bonding), cole caufield, cam york, and trevor zegras all on a private jet together as new, adrenaline-filled wolves and see what happens. what happens is they fight a little, because the canadians are sad and the americans are happy and they all have a lot of emotions they don’t know what to do with, and then end up sleeping in a big puppy pile together. i am at peace.

It was the summer before college and Stass laid on the Hughes' yacht, tanning out in the sun. As soon as school was out, Luke had invited her and her family out to the lake house, something they had done every year since Trevor had befriended Quinn and Jack Hughes. Ava decided not to go this year because her friends had planned a trip up to Rhode Island for a summer trip and Griffin had work, so it was just Trevor and Stass.

"Want a beer?" Trevor's voice echoed across the deck as he stood near the cooler, shielding his eyes from the sun to look at Stass.

Stass, still adjusting her sunglasses, flashed a sun-kissed smile and replied, "Sure, pass me one."

"That was a test and you failed." Trevor shook his head as Stass glared at him. "If anyone offers you a beer you say no because you're staying sober, right?"

"Trevor, just shut up and hand me a beer." Stass rolled her eyes at her older brother. "It's not like I haven't one before, you force fed me one when I was like, 9-"

"That's a lie, Griffin did that. I tried stopping him but he was stronger." Trevor replied in a matter-of-factly tone.

Stass laughed, remembering the exaggerated stories her brother used to tell. "Whatever, it doesn't matter now. I'm legal, and I can handle a beer or two."

Trevor grinned, finally passing her a cold bottle. "Legal, responsible, and ready for college. Look at you, all grown up."

She nodded, pulling her sunglasses back down. The lake sparkled around them, and the distant laughter of friends echoed from the shore.

"You know," Trevor began, taking a sip of his beer, "I'm glad we could still make it out here, just the two of us."

Stass nodded, taking a sip of her own drink. "Yeah, it's nice. Quiet."

Trevor glanced at her, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "You're quiet. That's unusual."

Stass rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, ha-ha. I can be quiet sometimes."

They fell into an easy silence, the only sounds the lapping of the waves against the hull of the yacht and the occasional call of a seagull overhead. Stass closed her eyes, letting the warmth of the sun seep into her skin.

"You excited about college?" Trevor asked after a while, breaking the silence.

Stass opened one eye to look at him. "Yeah, nervous too, though. It's a big change."

Trevor nodded in understanding. "Yeah, but you'll do great. You always do."

Stass smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest at his words. "Thanks, Trev. That means a lot."

"You know, I'm proud of ya, right?" Trevor added, quietly as he laid back in the chair.

"Aww, Trev, you gettin' all sappy on me now?" Stass teased, nudging him playfully with her elbow.

Trevor chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Maybe just a little."

Trevor chuckled, shaking his head. "Maybe just a little. But seriously, Stassie, you've always been there for me, through thick and thin. I couldn't ask for a better sister."

Stass felt a lump form in her throat at his words. She reached out and squeezed his hand, the bond between them stronger than ever in that moment. "I'm proud of you too, you know," Stass said, her tone sincere. "You're out there in California playing hockey, like you always wanted."

"Thank you, Stassie." Trevor smiled back at her and a calm silence fell in between them again.

They shared a smile, in that quiet moment, as the sun dipped lower in the sky and the world seemed to slow down around them, Stass realized just how lucky she was to have Trevor by her side.

"Alright, enough of the sentimental stuff," Stass declared, breaking the moment with a grin. "Race you to the diving board?"

"Oh fuck yeah. I'm winning."

"Who left all those beer cans on the deck?" Quinn asked as he glared directly at Trevor, annoyance in his expression.

"It was Y/N." Trevor said plainly as Stass rolled her eyes, laying back further on the couch as she watched the TV.

"Fucking liar! Y/N doesn't drink beer and you know it." Quinn crossed his arms, clearly not buying Trevor's attempt to shift the blame.

Trevor chuckled, feigning innocence. "Well, maybe she wanted to try something new today. You know, living on the wild side before college."

Quinn shot a skeptical look at Stass, who raised an eyebrow in response. "Don't look at me, I was just trying to get a tan before I go home. Trevor's just trying to weasel his way out of this one."

"Fine, whatever. I did it."

"We let you borrow our fucking yacht and you trash it, Trevor. Go clean it up." Quinn ordered, his tone firm as he gestured outside.

"Now? It's almost 10, dude, I'll do it in the morning-"

"Trevor, just go do it." Stass rolled her eyes as she kept her attention on the TV, not paying attention to Quinn and Trevor fighting.

Quinn crossed his arms, his patience wearing thin. "Now, Trevor. I don't care if it's dark or if you'd rather be doing something else. You make a mess, you clean it up."

Trevor sighed dramatically, shooting a glare at Stass before heading out to tidy up the deck.

Stass couldn't help but chuckle at the scene unfolding before her. "You know, you really should have thought twice before trashing the yacht, Trevor."

Trevor shot her a mock glare. "Thanks for the sympathy, Stass."

Stass shrugged as she watched Trevor walk out the door and she looked at Quinn with amusement. "What a drama queen."

"Right." Quinn sighed in annoyance and threw himself on the couch next to Stass. "You excited for Michigan? You'll be with Lukey now, like you guys always wanted."

"Yeah but I'm kinda nervous." Stass shrugged as she turned her attention Quinn. "Everyone over there looks intimidating, you know? Like what if my roommate hates me or I can't make any friends or something."

Quinn gave her a reassuring smile. "Stass, you're going to do great. You're smart, funny, and easy to get along with. Not a lot of people can say that and plus, you've got that charm that wins people over. You'll be the life of the party in no time."

Stass chuckled, nudging Quinn playfully. "Flattery will get you everywhere, Hughes."

Quinn rolled his eyes, but his smile remained. "But seriously, don't worry too much. College is just a new chapter, and you'll adapt like you always do. Besides, you'll have Luke there, and I'm sure you'll make friends in no time."

"Yeah, you're right," Stass admitted, feeling a bit more at ease. "I guess I just need to embrace the change, right? No parents or anything telling me what to do."

"Right, but don't do anything stupid." Quinn added with a raised eyebrow, a hint of a protective older brother tone in his voice. Even though you'd known him a short span of time, he's grown up with you and Trevor so he was like family.

Stass laughed, recognizing the concern. "Don't worry, Quinn, I won't go too crazy. I'll save the wild shit for Trevor."

Quinn smirked. "Good call. Trevor's got that covered."

Before Stass could respond, she heard footsteps and talking behind her. Jack and Luke joined them in the living room as they settled onto the couch.

Jack flashed a grin at Stass as he flopped on the other side of Stass. "What's all this talk about going wild, huh?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna get fucked up every single night and it's gonna be so fun." Stass exaggerated as she spoke, earning a scoff from Quinn and a few laughs from Luke and Jack.

Quinn shook his head in mock disapproval. "Oh great, just what I need, another Zegras causing trouble."

Stass grinned mischievously, enjoying the banter with her friends. "Hey, blame Trevor for starting all this craziness. You know me, I have one up Trev."

Luke chuckled, leaning back comfortably. "Take it easy, Stass. College isn't just about partying, you know."

"Oh shut the fuck up, I see your snapchat story. You're always at a part-"

Stass's words were interrupted by a burst of laughter from Luke, who raised his hands in mock surrender. "Okay, okay, guilty as charged. But you know me, I work hard and play hard."

Jack joined in with a chuckle, nodding in agreement as Stass rolled her eyes. "Yeah, let's not pretend like we're all saints here."

Quinn shook his head, a fond exasperation evident in his expression. "Alright, alright, let's not get carried away. We all know Trevor is the most insane one."

They all hummed in agreement. As the laughter subsided, Luke glanced at Stass with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "Hey, speaking of playing hard, how about you and I go get some food? There's a 24-hour diner just a few blocks away."

Stass' eyes lit up with excitement at the prospect. "Oh, hell yeah. I could totally go for some pancakes right now."

Jack and Luke exchanged glances before Luke got up from the couch. "Okay, I'll drive."

"Don't stay out too late, guys." Quinn warned with a playful yet genuine tone, a hint of concern in his voice. The late hour didn't seem to scare Stass and Luke, who were already on their way to the door.

"Don't worry, I know if anything happened to Stass, Trev'll kill me." Luke assured him as they headed towards the door.

Jack leaned back on the couch, watching them go with a conflicted expression. "Bring me back some fries if they have any, okay?"

Stass chuckled over her shoulder. "Of course, Jack."

They walked out of the house and went to Luke's car, getting in quickly. Luke turned on the car and backed out of the garage, soon driving to the diner.

"So, pancakes, huh?" Luke grinned as he drove on the empty road.

Stass laughed, nodding enthusiastically. "Pancakes, waffles, maybe even some milkshakes if they have them, I'm just hungry."

As they cruised down the quiet streets, the neon sign of the 24-hour diner came into view, casting a warm glow against the night. Luke parked the car, and they stepped into the warmth of the diner.

The scent of comfort food filled the air as they settled into a booth, menus in hand. Stass scanned the options, her eyes lighting up at the array of breakfast foods.

"So, you excited for Michigan?" Luke put down the menu to look at Stass, a smile playing on his lips.

"Very. Excited to meet your friends 'cus you can't stop talking about them, they seem fun." Stass replied, returning Luke's smile with enthusiasm. She set her menu aside, her excitement evident in her eyes.

"They're definitely interesting." He laughed as he laid back into the booth. "Hey, I missed you." Luke spoke quietly as Stass stared back, trying to decipher his expression.

"I missed you too, Luke." She smiled back nervously. There was a new type of tension in the air as she gazed back at him. "So..."

Luke's expression softened, his gaze gentle as he reached across the table to touch her hand. "I just wanted to say it, you know? Before everything changes."

"Nothing's gonna change, Luke. We're still gonna be friends and it'll be fun, if anything." Stass returned the smile but she couldn't help but notice Luke's expression change.

"Yeah, friends."

She's been friends with Luke, Jack and Quinn for three years now and they've all grown to have a special place in her heart. But as she glanced at Luke, she couldn't shake the sense of unease that lingered in the air, the unspoken tension between them tugging at her heartstrings. Despite her reassurances, she couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted.

Luke let out a laugh as his head fell back on the lawn chair, a beer bottle in his hand. They were on the lake and they were drinking, all while Trevor, Jack and Quinn were inside making some food. As they relaxed on the lakeshore, the worries of the world faded into the background, replaced by the simple joy of being together.

She could feel the alcohol stir in her stomach as she spoke. "Hey, Luke. Wanna go for a swim?"

"Now?" Luke replied as he stared back, her expression serious. It was late at night but it was still warm. "Fuck it, why not?"

Stass laughed and stood up from the chair, taking off her shirt, leaving her just in her bikini. Luke swallowed as he stood up, watching her. Luke's gaze lingered on Stass, a flicker of something unreadable dancing in his eyes as she stood before him in her bikini. He felt a rush of warmth spread through him, the alcohol adding to the haze of the summer night.

Stass turned around with a smirk, and Luke's heart skipped a beat. "Ready?"

"Born ready," he replied, matching her smirk.

With a shared laugh and a moment of anticipation, they plunged into the lake, the cool water enveloping them in a refreshing embrace. As they swam beneath the starlit sky, the worries of the world melted away, replaced by the exhilaration of the moment. With each stroke, they felt the weight of the world lift from their shoulders, leaving nothing but the freedom of the open water.

"It's nice in the water." Luke spoke as he swam near her, keeping afloat.

Stass nodded in agreement, the water glistening in the moonlight as she swam beside him. "Yeah, it's so peaceful out here." She let out a giggle as her head fell back.

"How many beers have you had?" Luke asked, a laugh escaping his mouth as he watched her.

Stass grinned, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Hmm, I lost count after the third one. But who's counting anyway?"

Luke chuckled, the sound blending with the gentle lapping of the water against their bodies. "Well, as long as you can still swim straight," he teased, his tone light and teasing.

Stass rolled her eyes in mock exasperation, a grin playing at the corners of her lips. "Please, I'm practically a mermaid at this point," she retorted, her laughter echoing.

They swam lazily, the water embracing them in its cool quiet. The night air carried their laughter as they floated, creating ripples on the lake's surface.

Luke laughed, his gaze lingering on Stass as she floated effortlessly in the water. "A tipsy mermaid, maybe."

Stass splashed water playfully in Luke's direction, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Hey, watch it, or I might just drag you down with me."

"I'd like to see you try-"

Before he could even finish his sentence, Stass jumped on Luke sent them both splashing into the water with a loud splash. Luke sputtered as water engulfed him, his laughter mingling with Stass's drunken giggles.

They resurfaced, shaking the water from their hair and faces, their laughter echoing across the tranquil surface of the lake. They both rose up, laughing loudly. Stass' arms were wrapped around Luke's shoulders as they laughed. As they caught their breaths, silence took over as they stared back at each other. A silence took over within them as they gazed at one another, noticing how close they were with one another.

In that moment, the air crackled with a tension that neither Stass nor Luke could ignore. The laughter faded into the background, replaced by the sound of their breathing and the gentle lapping of the water against their bodies.

Stass felt her heart pound in her chest, the weight of Luke's gaze stirring something deep within her. Luke's expression softened, his gaze tracing the curve of Stass's face with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine. In that suspended moment, time seemed to stand still, leaving only the two of them in a world of their own.

Without a word, Luke reached out, his hand brushing against Stass's cheek with a feather-light touch. His touch sent a jolt of warmth coursing through her, igniting a fire that burned bright within her soul. Stass' breath caught in her throat as she leaned closer, her heart racing with anticipation.

Luke slowly leaned in, Stass' eyes closing as their lips met in a soft kiss. They both stayed like that for a few moments before the kiss slowly became more passionate, Luke's hands gripped her hips as they kissed.

And on the shore, Jack watched, a conflicted expression on his face as he watched his best friend's sister and his brother make out in the lake. He couldn't help but feel jealous as he witnessed the scene unfolding before him. His gaze lingered on Stass and Luke, their silhouettes illuminated by the moonlight as they kissed in the water. Jack couldn't tear his eyes away, his heart heavy with the weight of realization.

A mixture of surprise, confusion, and a twinge of envy danced across Jack's features. He had known Stass for years, and Luke was not only his brother but also one of his best friend. For so long, he had watched Stass and Luke's friendship blossom, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. He had always admired the easy bond between them, the way they laughed and confided in each other without any worry. But as he watched them now, locked in an embrace that spoke of something deeper, Jack couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy gnawing at his heart.

He had never imagined that their relationship would evolve into something more, something that threatened to change the dynamics of their friendship forever. A part of him wanted to look away, to pretend that he hadn't seen what he had seen. But another part of him couldn't tear his eyes away, couldn't ignore the undeniable truth that lay before him. Luke had gotten to Stassie before he could.

"Shit." Jack ripped his eyes away as he mumbled, turning back to the house.
