Finally getting around reading The House in the Cerulean Sea - I recently read Under the Whispering Door, which was endearing and sweet, and I'm in that kind of mood, so here we are. I find that TJ Klune has THE weirdest character descriptions, like it's difficult to picture them at first. But I gave it a try!

Keep rotating this very offhand moment because the implication that Zoe removed the top buttons of Linus's adventure outfit is endlessly amusing to me

I can just imagine Zoe looking at Linus and planning this outfit thinking:

a) If there is any opportunity for this man to wear a tie, he will take it. He CANNOT be ruining the vibes of adventure day with a tie. The buttons must go.

b) This is a man who would rather wear full trousers and a tightly buttoned shirt and risk heat stroke than show any amount of skin. The buttons must go. AND

c) From the way they've been looking at each other, if Arthur sees Linus in a flirty summer fun outfit (throat exposed and knees visible) he will LOSE HIS MIND/POS. So of course, it's her duty as his best friend to make that happen. THE BUTTONS MUST GO.
