The Cave of Veda Vyasa…!! At a distance of 5.5 km from Badrinath Bus Stand, Vyas Cave is an ancient cave located on the banks of Saraswati River at Mana village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Mana is the last Indian village situated at Indo-China Border. Vyas Gufa is believed to be the place where sage Vyas composed the Mahabharata epic with the help of Lord Ganesha. He also composed 18 Puranas, Brahma Sutras and four Vedas. Maharishi Vyas statue is installed in the caves and worshiped by the pilgrims. A distinct feature of the temple is the roof which resembles the pages from the collection of his holy scripts. There is also an interesting story related to the place that explains the broken tusk of Lord Ganesh. When Vyas was composing Mahabharata, he needed someone to take down his dictation and asked the learned Ganesha for the same. Ganesh agreed but he had a condition - that Vyas would not stop even for a moment or else he would stop writing and leave. Vyas dictating as fast as he could and Ganesh bent down over the script pages. Finally, his reed pen broke. To which, he broke off a part of his tusk to be used as a pen thereon. Ganesha cave is also located in nearby area below the Vyas cave. Near this temple, is a natural rock that rests over the river known as Bhim pul. Further 3 km upward climb from Vyas Gufa is another cave called the Muchukand Gufa. It is associated with the story of Lord Krishna who had tactfully led to the demise of the demon Kaal Yawan here by Sage Muchukand. It is said that the footprints of Lord Krishna can still be seen in the cave. . . . . . #vyas #vedvyas #mana #cave #badrinath #uttarakhand #rohitgpt009 #tourism #mountain #india #indianvillage #mandir #temple (at Vyas Gufa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqHw1bzPglM/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Last Indian Village…!! Mana is called the last Indian village, and you will find a trail wandering up to this tranquil village from Badrinath. The village houses natural escapes, religious sites, thriving rivers & waterfalls. According to Hindu texts, the way to heaven goes from here, and it is the place from where Pandavas took the route to their eternal journey. In the early 20th century, travellers take this route, not for heaven but to reach Tibet and capture a glimpse of the remotest corner of the country. The village is on the ancient trade route between India and Tibet and served to be an enterprising village during the bygone era from where travellers would purchase barley, buckwheat and rock salt for goats and yaks. However, these activities stopped after the 1962 war with China. This last Indian village Mana is about 50 km from the Sino-Indian border and currently depends upon the pilgrim activities and travellers exploring the remoteness and adventures of the place. Location: Chamoli, Garhwal, Uttarakhand Distance: 4 km from Badrinath Elevation: 3,200 m Best months to visit: May, June, September, October Nearest railway station: Rishikesh Railway Station Nearest airport: Jolly Grant Airport . . . . . #mana #manavillage #chamoli #uttarakhand #india #rohitgpt009 #lastindianvillage #tea #tealover #tealovers #chai #chailover #chailovers #tourism #mountains #mountain #himalayan #himalayas #tourist #loveindia (at Mana Last Village Of India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpjgpzJPc7Y/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Vishwanath Temple The Vishwanath Temple is located in the town of Gupatakashi in Rudraprayag district and is visited by many devotees all-round the year. The whole district of Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand is named because of the presence of the numerous temples of Lord Shiva or Lord Rudra there and among these the Gupatakashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the prominent ones. The Vishwanath Temple in Guptakashi has a stark visual similarity with the Kashi Vishwanath Temple of the holy city of Varanasi. This may be the reason for the similarity between the names of the two temples. Aside this, the Vishwanath Temple is also part of the Rudra temple conglomerate of Rudraprayag that conjures up the temple chain of Panch Kedars and the Chota Kedarnath. The mythological significance of the Vishwanath Temple is quite high as according to the mythical legends, this is the place where Lord Shiva proposed Lady Parvati for marriage. The Vishwanath Temple is one of the architectural marvel of the region. The high towered Vishwanath Temple is situated in the interior of Guptkashi about 1 KM walk from the center. The scenery of the temple is magnificent with the backdrop of Chaukhamba snowcapped high mountains. The main sanctum of the Vishwanath Temple houses the androgynous form of Lord Shiva, the Ardhanarishwara and his consort Lady Parvati. The idols if Kaal Bhairava and Nandi is also present in the temple. In Vishwanath Temple complex a small pond called the Manikarnika Kund, in front of the temple gate, a Shiva-linga is bathed by two springs, representing the rivers Ganges and Yamuna. The Yamuna spring water go out from a goumukh (nose in the shape of a cow’s mouth) and the Ganga spring flows through trunk of an elephant strategically placed above the linga. . . . . . #vishwanath #temple #guptkashi #kedarnath #uttarakhand #india #rohitgpt009 #hindu #sanatandharma #sanatani #sanatan #religious #ganga #yamuna #gangotri #yamunotri #holywater #indianculture #sabhyata #mandir (at Vishwanath Temple) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpKGdYLPurf/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

. . . . . #200thpost #200 #200post #hanuman #hanumanji #bheem #bheema #bhim #mahabharat #ego #hindu #temple #badrinath #uttarakhand #chamoli @uttarakhand_tourismofficial (at Hanuman Chatti Badrinath) https://www.instagram.com/p/Co50VwiPVyH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Rudraprayag…!! Named after Lord Shiva's Rudra avatar (incarnation), Rudraprayag is an ancient holy town situated at the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, at a distance of 34 km from Srinagar in the Garhwal region. Rudraprayag marks the fourth confluence between Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. The fifth and final union takes place at Devprayag where the Alaknanda river joins Bhagirathi to form the Ganga and flow down to the plains. While the town is known for revered temples and pristine natural beauty, the presence of two separate routes for Badrinath (around 150 km away) and Kedarnath Dham (around 50 km away) from Rudraprayag make it an important destination for religious tourism, attracting tourists and devotees throughout the year, who make a beeline for the Shiva and Jagdamba temples here. Headquarters of the eponymous district, the region is blessed with natural beauty and the town is surrounded by lakes and glaciers. Hindu mythology says that to master the mysteries of music, sage Narad did a severe penance to appease Lord Shiva, who appeared in his Rudra avatar to bless Narad. The Pandava Dance, a dance form based on the dance and music of the Kaurava and Pandavas as described in the epic Mahabharata, is very popular among locals in this district. It is believed that after Kurukshetra war, to repent for the death of kin, the Pandavas visited this region to pray to Lord Shiva. Even today, locals here celebrate Pandav Leela in the memory of that visit. . . . . . #rudraprayag #garhwal #uttarakhand #shiv #pandavas #pandav #river #sangam #incarnation #folk #religious #information #informative #rohitgpt009 #mandakini #alaknanda #ganga #touristattraction (at Rudraprayag रुद्रप्रयाग) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoedXIIvmmI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Karnaprayag...!! Karnaprayag is one of five sites where the confluence of rivers occurs. The five prayags are Vishnuprayag, Nandprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag. Karnaprayag is believed by many to be the place where Karna of the Mahabharata, was to have worshipped the Sun God. There is an ancient temple devoted to Uma in Karnaprayag. In some versions, Karnaprayag is the place where Lord Krishna did the cremation of Karna. When Arjuna used the Anjalika astra on weaponless Karna, who was still trying to lift the sunken chariot wheel, Lord Krishna found that Karna was still alive even though seriously wounded. Lord Krishna found that Dharma-devata, the goddess responsible for protecting Dharma (righteousness), is guarding Karna against death and resisting every arrow sent by Arjuna. Krishna and Arjuna found it was impossible to kill Karna as the goddess was protecting Karna personally. Lord Krishna explained to Arjuna that the Dharma-devata herself was protecting Karna from death because of the massive good merit Karna earned by giving charity during his lifetime and it was impossible even for Lord Shiva to kill Karna. Krishna said wherever Dharma is present, there is victory, and this time Dharma was with the side of Karna. So Krishna went down from his chariot and appeared as a Brahmin and asked for Karna's punya or merit to him as charity. Karna gave his entire merits as charity to the Brahmin in the form of his blood, and once Karna gifted his life's merit to him, Krishna rewarded Karna with the view of Krishna's Vishwaroopa. Krishna told that only this way it was possible to kill Karna and when Karna gave away his life's merit to Krishna, Dharma-devata disappeared. Karna asked Krishna to cremate him in a virgin land where nobody else is present. Then Krishna went back to his chariot and asked Arjuna to take the kill shot on Karna. Later Krishna himself did the cremation of Karna at Karnaprayag. . . . . . #karnaprayag #prayaga #prayag #river #holyriver #holyplace #uttarakhand #chamoli #karna #krishna #arjun #mahabharat #mahabharata #temple #rohitgpt009 (at कर्ण नगरी - कर्णप्रयाग) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoWoxgkvJS-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Vishnuprayag...!! Vishnuprayag is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River, and lies at the confluence of Alaknanda River and Dhauliganga River, in Chamoli district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Vishnuprayag derives its name from Vishnu, According to Hindu scriptures, it is the place where Sage Narada meditated, after which Vishnu appeared before him. It is near to Kagbhusandi Lake. The Alaknanda River, which originates in the eastern slopes of the glacier fields of Chaukhamba, is joined by the Saraswati River near Mana village and then flows in front of the Badrinath temple. It then meets the Dhauli Ganga River, which originates from the Niti Pass, to form the Vishnuprayag. This stretch of the Alaknanda River is called the Vishnu Ganga. According to legend, the sage Narada offered worship to god Vishnu at this confluence. An octagonal shaped temple located near the confluence is dated to 1889 and is credited to the Maharani of Indore, Ahalyabai. A stairway from this temple leads to the Prayag. . . . . . #vishnuprayag #panchprayag #sangam #river #uttarakhand #chamoli #badrinath #mana #temple #hindu #vishnu #lordvishnu #sprituality #religious #rohitgpt009 (at Vishnuprayag, Uttarakhand, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoOw0OIv3Br/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Badrinath Dham…!! Badrinath is a town and nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. A Hindu holy place, it is one of the four sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage and is also part of India's Chota Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. It gets its name from the Badrinath Temple. Badri refers to "Badrayana", another name for Rishi Ved Vyas who is believed to have resided in this region. It is also known as "Badarikashrama". Badrinath was re-established as a major pilgrimage site by Adi Shankara in the 8th century. In earlier days, pilgrims used to walk hundreds of miles to visit the Badrinath temple. The Badrinath temple is the main attraction in the town. According to legend, Adi Shankaracharya discovered a black stone image of Lord Badrinarayan made of Shaligram stone in the Alaknanda River. He originally enshrined it in a cave near the Tapt Kund hot springs. In the sixteenth century, the King of Garhwal moved the murti to the present temple. The temple is approximately 50 ft (15 m) tall with a small cupola on top, covered with a gold gilt roof. The facade is built of stone, with arched windows. A broad stairway leads up to a tall arched gateway, which is the main entrance. The architecture resembles a Buddhist vihara (temple), with the brightly painted facade also more typical of Buddhist temples. Just inside is the mandapa, a large pillared hall that leads to the garbha grha, or main shrine area. The walls and pillars of the mandapa are covered with intricate carving. . . . . . #badrinath #badri #badrinathtemple #lordvishnu #chardham #chardhamyatra #dham #temple #view #scenery #mountains #rohitgpt009 #badrivishal #power #god #mandir (at Badrinath Dham) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoCAGtqP0RC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Kedarnath Temple…!! The name "Kedarnath" means "the Lord of the Field". It is derived from the Sanskrit words kedara ("field") and natha ("lord"). The text Kashi Kedara Mahatmya states that it is so-called because "the crop of liberation" grows here. Kedarnath has been a pilgrimage centre since ancient times. The temple's construction is credited to the Pandava brothers mentioned in the Mahabharata. However, the Mahabharata does not mention any place called Kedarnath. One of the earliest references to Kedarnath occurs in the Skanda Purana (c. 7th-8th century), which names Kedara (Kedarnath) as the place where Lord Shiva released the holy waters of Ganga from his matted hair, resulting in the formation of the Ganges River. Kedarnath is located at a distance of 223 km from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand and close to the source of the Mandakini River at the height of 3,583 m (11,755 ft) above sea level. The township is built on a barren stretch of land on the shores of Mandakini river. The surrounding scenery of the Himalayas and green pastures makes it a very attractive place for pilgrimage and trekking. Behind the town and the Kedarnath Temple, stands the majestic Kedarnath peak at 6,940 m (22,769 ft), the Kedar Dome at 6,831 m (22,411 ft) and other peaks of the range. . . . . . #kedarnath #kedarnathtemple #kedarnath_temple #kedarnathtemple🙏 #kedarnath_dham🙏🙏♥️♥️ #kedar #himalayan #himalayas #mountains #view #views #mountainview #mountainviews #mountainvibes #rohitgpt009 #mahadev #dham #jyotirling #jyotirlinga #12jyotirling #mountainpeak (at Kedarnath Temple-केदारनाथ मंदिर) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn30isxvHod/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Kedarnath Trek located in Rudraprayag district and Kedarkantha Trek located in Uttarakashi district in Uttarkhand. In local dialect ‘Kedarnath’ means ‘lord of fields’; according to a local legend it is believed that Lord shiva hid in an assumption of a bull trying to avoid the Pandavas. Bhima, one of the brothers from Pandavas, recognized lord Shiva and tried to capture the bull through its tail and hind legs. Just before Bhima could fully grasp the bull, it disappeared into the ground only to later appear in many forms across the region. The hump of this bull appeared in Kedarnath where it is believed that Pandavas built the temple and later worshipped it. It is also home to a number of Tibetan religious exiles who worship at a temple dedicated to Buddha and manufacture designer mats as well as woolen cloth. Recently, the village has been developed infrastructure like roads & rest houses for travelers. Here one can easily find a lot of adventurous sports like Trekking, Zorbing Ball, Rapling etc. Fields are covered with yellow and white crops. There is a place in a village called Bisar Paani (5 KM before Mainpat on right side of road going from Ambikapur to Mainpat) where water flows upstream. Villagers have made a canal for watering and water flows upward 30 ft on its own. No device and no scientific explanation could be found. The hill station features the Tiger Point Waterfall, Fish Point Waterfall, Ghaghi waterfall, Zalzali(bouncing land), Parpatiya view point and Buddha temples. 1962-63 lot of Tibetans migrated to India. Government of India allotted them the land in Mainpat hill. The Home Ministry gave 3000 acres of land to about 1400 Tibetan immigrants. The village was traditionally home to the Yadavs and tribes including the Manjhi. . . . . . #mainpat #cg #chhattisgarh #hill #hillstation #ambikapur #fall #falls #waterfall #waterfalls #waterfalls💦 #forest #nature #naturephotography #naturelovers #naturelover #naturegeography #rohitgpt009 #tour #tourism #tourist #tourists #tourist #touristplace #touristplaces #cgtourism #chhattishgarh #chhattishgarh #chhattisgarhtourism (at Mainpat ,Chhattisgarh) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnOnAs1va4E/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Nandankanan Zoological Park…!! Nandankanan Zoological Park is one of the biggest and famous zoos in India. Located in Bhubaneswar, this zoo, unlike others in the country, has been built inside a natural forest, which is moist deciduous in nature and remains semi-ever green. The animals kept in this zoo get the feel of their natural surroundings and roam freely without any apprehensions. Nandankanan has the distinction of being the first zoo in the world to breed Melanistic and White tigers and the sole conservation breeding center for Indian Pangolins, across the globe. A member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquarium (WAZA) - the only one in the country - the Nandankanan zoo is also recognized by the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) for preservation of Indian pangolins, tigers and long billed vultures. It is the first zoo in the country to feature an open-top enclosure for leopards and also the first, where endangered Ratels were born in captivity. The zoo has large pools for housing Hippopotamus and Gharials, and has been a captive breeding center for the latter since 1980. The name ‘Nandankanan’ in the local language means ‘Garden of the Heavens’. Such is the importance and exclusivity of the zoo that the Indian Railways has named an express train after it called the Nandankanan Express while the Indian Postal Department has released a special cover featuring it. On a visit to the city of Bhubaneswar, an excursion to the Nandankanan Zoological Park and Botanical Garden is a must, especially for those tourists, who are traveling with their children. 🤳➡️ @sudhanya07 . . . . . #nandankanan #bhubaneswar #odisha #zoo #zoological #zoologicalpark #zoologicalgarden #orrisa #orissa #orissatourism #odishatourism #odishagram #india #rohitgpt009 #tourism #tourist #zoolovers #zoolove #zoolover #nature #animals #animal #animallovers #lion #tiger #deer #foetus (at Nandankanan Zoological Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cmfv2Qmv5r-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
