"The Bewitched and the Beguiled" Ch. 4.5: "Our Not-So Little Secret..."
Summary: Baron tries to set things right
Word Count: 1.9k
Warnings: Honestly, this turned out pretty angsty, but fluffy ending, suggestive language, mentions of being a spicy dancer, lots of creative insults and curses, Baron being a little bit of an asshole, Michelle is wanting to throw her head through a wall.
A/N: I'M BACK. Holy guacamole, I am so sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. I started school and got a new job in September and my life was crazy, I couldn't find balance until now. I'm picking this series back up in a place where I feel like would be a nice transition? This is a smaller chapter, it's necessary for the plot (we learn some shit), but also it's a little warm up chapter for me to get back into the game and for you to remember where we left off if you've been following along. I hope you enjoy and thank you for supporting me! And as always, if you're liking this series and want to know when new parts are posted, let me know and I'll add you to the tag list! Much love to all of you <3

Sneak Peak Ch. 1 Ch. 2 Ch.3 Ch. 4
Tumblr media
August 22nd, 2021 Las Vegas, Nevada
Michelle awoke with a start, only questioning for a short moment why she was awoken so suddenly before a heavy knocking came from her hotel door. She glanced at her phone to check the time.
6:42 AM.
"Fuck..." Michelle groaned as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes, only to curse again when she realized she slept with her make-up on.
Thud thud thud.
"Do you know what time it is?" Michelle called as she flipped the sheets over and reluctantly slid out of bed.
Thud thud thud.
"Actually, better question. Do you have a death wish?" Michelle shook her head and swung the door open, only to throw it closed again with a fresh ferocity as soon as she saw who was at her door. She locked the door and took a step back.
"Go. Away. Or I'm calling hotel security to remove you from the premises, you gargantuan, imbecilic douchecanoe." Michelle groaned and buried her face in her hands.
"Wow, did you break out the thesaurus for that insult? It really rolls off the tongue." Baron's chuckle was muffled through the door.
"I bet you couldn't even spell 'thesaurus', you overgrown beefhead." Michelle took a step forward and leaned her shoulder on the door so she could throw insults at him through the crack. She could feel her face getting hotter the more he opened his mouth.
"Oh so I'm a beefhead now? What happened to douchecanoe?" Baron laughed.
Michelle did not care to entertain his stupid question with a stupid response, so she crossed her arms and stayed silent. She heard him sigh on the other end of the door.
"Listen, I didn't come here to fight with you." Baron's voice dropped low, Michelle almost did not hear him.
"Mission failed." Michelle muttered.
"Honest to God, I didn't." Baron quickly responded. "I wanted to talk about last night-"
"There's nothing left to be said!" Michelle's patience wore thin the more he spoke. "We'll never be friends, end of story. Never speak to me again, goodbye Baron."
Michelle kicked off the door and took a couple steps back toward her bed before his voice stopped her dead in her tracks.
"I miss you calling me Thomas."
Her heart sank. The silence was so loud as she padded back to the door.
"Would you rather me call you Thomas while I insult and curse you out?" Michelle pulled the hair tie from her hair and twisted it into a bun. "Would that make you feel better or worse if I screamed at you, using your real name?"
"I miss hearing you say my name. You always made it sound so nice." His voice sounded so small all of a sudden, which made Michelle's jaw clench out of frustration as a sick feeling settled in her stomach. "I just want to talk about last night. I brought you something actually, can I come in?"
"Is it a knife?" Michelle joked, which made him chuckle softly.
"No, it's not a knife." Baron's deep voice rumbled. "Well, there's a little plastic knife in the bag, but that's just in case you want any cream cheese."
Michelle unlocked the door and peeked her head into the hall. Baron was dressed in basketball shorts and a tank top, his muscles and tattoos on full display. He wore the most genuine smile she had ever seen on his face as he nodded a greeting. In his hands was a brown paper bag and what looked like a to-go cup of coffee. The heat protector wrapped around the cup read "Einstein Bros."
"Good morning." Baron grinned a toothy grin when he saw her in all her morning glory. "Did I wake you up?"
Michelle just let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Yes, you ignoramus."
"Sorry, sorry," Baron threw his free hand up with a snicker. "I don't want to get you all worked up again, please don't slam the door in my face."
"If you keep up with comments like that, I might. You're on thin ice." Michelle leaned against the doorframe and gestured to the bag. "What's that?"
"A peace offering." Baron offered her the cup and the bag, which she hesitantly took.
"Is it poisoned?" She asked as she turned away and walked back into her room, leaving the door open enough for Baron to let himself in.
"You have so little faith in me! No it's not poisoned." Baron let out a hearty laugh as he closed the door behind him and followed her to the little desk she sat herself at. "Its a hot mocha latte with oat milk and a bagel breakfast sandwich from Einstein Bros. Bagels."
Michelle's eyebrows crinkled as she dug into the bag and pulled out a to-go container. Inside was a hefty bagel sandwich, still steaming.
"I remember you loved Einstein Bros. when we were going out, and they have one down the street. So, I just figured..." Baron's thought trailed off as he sat on the bed behind her, giving her some space. He looked at his hands folded in his lap, then rubbed the back of his neck.
Michelle turned around, still looking confused.
"You remembered that?" A small smile curled on her lips.
Baron laughed as he nodded.
"Yeah, actually. I even remembered what you used to get on your bagel." Baron pointed at the box as he spoke. "Correct me if I got it wrong, but I think you used to get a cheese bagel, toasted, with chipotle spread, a scrambled egg, spinach, American cheese, and side a of cream cheese."
Michelle fumbled with the box as he spoke to double check the sandwich. She let out an incredulous laugh and stared at him with shocked eyes.
"How could you possibly remember all of that, that's insane." She grabbed ahold of the sandwich and took a big bite. She let out a hum and her eyes fluttered shut as the sandwich danced on her taste buds. "Thank you."
"My pleasure." Baron smiled as he watched her absolutely demolish the sandwich. He tried not to laugh out of fear she might toss him out.
When she finally finished, she wiped her mouth and fingers with some napkins and took a sip of her coffee. She turned her chair and attention to Baron and sighed.
"So, last night?" She sat back in her chair and crossed her arms.
"I was drunk and a huge idiot, I'm so sorry." Baron said with his lips in a thin line, disappointment on his face.
"Gotta do better than that, you have a lot of ground to make up if you want us to be anything close to cordial." Michelle shook her head.
"I wasn't in a good place when we first met, I honestly was the biggest egomaniac then, I feel like I've humbled since then. I'm not asking for another chance at being your...whatever we were. I just want to try to be friends." Baron sighed, his face turning red out of embarrassment as he recounted the past in his head.
"'Friends'? No, I don't think we'll be friends for a long time." Michelle took another sip of her coffee before she continued. "You were horrible to me. The only reason why I'm giving you the time right now to try to make this right is because we're going to be working together for the foreseeable future. So you gotta give me more than 'I've changed'."
"I have though, I really have." Baron leaned forward and rested his forearms on his knees. "What do I have to do to prove it to you?"
"It's just going to take time. You can try to not pull stunts like you did last night." Michelle leaned back in her chair. "That wasn't cool."
"I am so sorry for that, I really am. I was a huge asshole last night." Baron nodded along as he spoke and dropped his head down in shame. "I think I was just angry with how we left things. I'm sorry."
"You can say sorry all you want, you have to prove it to me if you really want to fix this. It'll take time." Michelle sighed as she leaned forward and patted his knee. "Can you do that?"
"I can try, you'll be the judge of that." Baron chuckled and Michelle laughed along.
"Alright." Michelle nodded and took a big gulp of her drink.
There was a beat or two of silence before Baron spoke again.
"Can I ask you something?"
"You can ask me anything, I reserve the right to not answer if I don't want to." Michelle smiled as she spoke and turned her attention back to him. "What's up?"
"Who else knows?" Baron played with the drawstring of his shorts.
"That we fucked? Or about 'Veronica?'" Michelle smirked.
"Both." Baron laughed a little at her choice of words.
"Danielle and Annie know about us and that I was a dancer. Darcy knows about us, but not about Veronica. Oh, and Drew knows about us." Michelle concluded by throwing her now empty coffee cup in the trash.
"Drew knows?" Baron cocked an eyebrow at the news.
"Drew knows." Michelle repeated. "We got to talking last night after you cornered me in the bathroom."
"And then he charmed the pants off you." Baron rolled his eyes with an insightful smirk.
"What are you talking about-" Michelle's annoyance raised in her voice but he raised a hand to quiet her.
"Cut the crap, Micky, we share a fucking wall." Baron groaned as he got up and clapped his hand on the nearest wall. "I heard everything. Kept me up all night, couldn't go back to sleep even after you guys were done."
"You're next door?" Michelle's face paled at the thought. Baron only laughed.
"Don't worry Veronica, all your secrets are safe with me." His smile was sweet, borderline fiendish.
"I hate when you call me Veronica." Michelle's voice grew quiet as she stood.
"I hate when you call me Baron." Baron crossed his arms with a stony look on his face.
They stared at each other for a moment, neither willing to give up any ground. When the silence was too much for Corbin to bear, he sighed and rubbed the top of his head.
"Man, you got a lot of skeletons walking around, huh?" Baron chuckled, which brought a small smile to Michelle's face.
"Can only keep so many in the closet, I guess." Michelle shrugged. "It's especially hard to when they grow as big as you are."
Baron rolled his eyes at that comment and shook his head.
"You're something else." Baron sighed. "Well, I won't keep you anymore, I'm sure you have packing and shit to do."
"I got a plane to catch, I think the girls should be here soon." Michelle wrapped herself in her arms and bit her bottom lip, uneasiness settling in her chest. "Thank you for stopping by and clearing the air."
"Thank you for letting me in." Baron took a couple steps forward. "Are we at a place where I can hug you goodbye?"
"Not yet." Michelle chuckled awkwardly.
"No worries." Baron backed up a step and nodded. "I get it, we need time. Lots of ground to make up."
"Yeah."
"Well I better get going." Baron started walking towards the door. "I'll see you later?"
"For sure." Michelle walked him out and watched him for a couple steps before calling out to him one more time. "Bye, Thomas."
Baron stutter-stepped and spun around with wide eyes for a moment before he smiled and nodded.
"Bye, Mitch."
Michelle closed the door to her now empty hotel room and let out a huge sigh, trying to release the pressure of anxiety in her chest.
"Fuck." she mumbled as she tossed her shirt off and stomped towards the bathroom to take a hot shower and try to brush off the bad parts of the last 24 hours.

You watched with bated breath as Danhausen rolled Ricky into a pin, but quickly kicked out.
"Fuck..."
"How's he doin'?" Hook snuck up behind you, making you jump.
"Jesus, Hook," You laughed before turning back to the television. "I mean he's doin' alright? He's doing a lot better than I thought he would, he's holding his own-"
Boom! Ricky hits Danhausen with a spear, making you both cringe.
"Ooo..." Hook hissed as he hovered behind you. "1...2..."
"And it's over." You sighed, disappointment etched in your expression. "That wasn't even two minutes..."
"Did you want Danhausen to win?" Hook smiled down at you with a teasing squeeze of your shoulder, which you shook off and rolled your eyes.
"I just want someone to shut Ricky Starks up." You chuckled and rolled your eyes.
Hook slinked his hoodie-clad arm around your shoulder and nodded.
"Alright, I'm just giving you a hard time." Hook shrugged as he looked down and examined you. "Loving the new gear by the way."
"Yeah, yeah..." You muttered as you leaned your back against his chest and glanced up with a teasing glint in your eye. "You just like it because my ass is pratically hanging out of it."
"No, you look good in blue," Hook nodded while a hint of a smile creeped onto his face. "You're butt does look good though"
"Shut up!" You smacked his chest, making him chuckle. "You're so annoying."
"Hey, you asked." Hook threw up his hands in surrender.
You and Hook had been friends for a while now. Your dad's were friends, you came up in the same circles and you both started training around the same time. Now, you were both on the fast track to becoming two rising stars of the company. He was one of your good friends and you two were always spotted backstage, sharing hushed words and quiet laughs.
While Hook was known as a man of few words, around you he was more like a man of a few words. He never wasted an opportunity to pick on you and you two were always plotting some sort of mischief, being the two youngest on the roster.
Unfortunately for the both of you, Ricky Starks has been giving you some unwanted attention recently, letting his attraction to you be more than obvious. You had never gotten along with Ricky. You found him grating and egotistical, and you let him know at every chance you got. And yet, he still attempted to make moves on you (which you reject completely). The last thing you wanted was another win under his belt, he did not need to have his ego inflated any more than it was. You felt terrible because you know how close Hook and Ricky are, both of them being apart of Team Taz, but you could not look past the way you had been treated by him.
"I really wanted him to lose." You said in a voice low enough for Hook's ears only. "I want to watch his stupid face when he finally takes a loss."
"Easy, killer." Hook said slowly as he moved to stand fully behind you and started to rub your shoulders, pretending to prepare you for a fight. "Every dog has its day."
"Look, I know you guys are friends, I'm sorry-" You tried to backpedal but Hook shook his head.
"Don't you say sorry, he treats you like shit. Someone should've put him in his place a long time ago, I should be saying sorry to you." Hook went from lightly rubbing your shoulders to pressing careful pressure with the pads of his thumbs into your tense back muscles. "You're really tight, what's up?"
"I'm stressed." You huffed with a small frown as you watched Ricky get to his feet and grab a mic. "Didn't sleep very well last night either-"
"Very nice, very evil," Ricky labored over the mic. "But you're not absolute."
You groaned and pulled away from Hook's touch.
"I can't listen to this. Let me know when he's done." You started to walk away, but Ricky's next sentence pricked up your ears.
"And just like last week, I still got a little left in the tank. So let's bring out another challenge, and now for real this time." Ricky huffed and puffed and grabbed at his neck as he spoke.
Hook tensed for a moment, before he turned to face you. He haphazardly grabbed at his hoodie, took it off and handed it to you, leaving him in nothing but his boots and shorts.
"Hold this for me." He said before he turned to head to the curtain.
"What are you doing?!" You called after him as you followed in close pursuit.
"Shutting him up." He threw a wink over his shoulder before he flagged down a technician. "Play my music!"
"Oh, my god." Your heart started racing as you ran back to the television. "Shit, shit, shit..."
Hook's music hit and you heard the crowd pop. Hook marched out there with the most determined look on his face that you have seen in a while.
You threw on his hoodie quickly so you did not miss a second of this moment, eyes glued to the television unblinking.
"Is that Hook?" Austin Gunn approached you from behind and joined you at the monitor.
You just nodded as you brought a hand to your lips, not daring to move as the match started and more people gathered to watch the spectacle.
The first minute of the match proved they were a pretty even match with counters left and right, everyone was on edge. But when Hook got hit with a spear, everyone groaned.
"C'mon, Hook." You whispered as you watched him roll on the ground in pain. "Get up."
Ricky grabbed Hook and set him up for a roshambo, but Hook countered into the Redrum. The locker room went nuts, and so did the fans.
"Holy shit!" You gasped as you grabbed the closest person's arm, which happened to be Austin's. "Holy shit! C'mon Hook!"
Ricky tried to roll out of it, but Hook held on tight. When Ricky tapped out, you started jumping up and down and cheering. You stared wide eyed at the screen with your hands cupped over your mouth.
When he finally came backstage, Hook wore the biggest smile as he approached the crowd of people waiting to congratulate him, including you.
When he reached you, he held up the belt and smirked.
"That wasn't even two minutes." He mocked your words from earlier, which made you shake your head and grin ear to ear.
With the title still in his hands, he wrapped his arms around your waist, hoisted you into the air and spun you around a couple times. You yelped at the new height and laughed.
"Put me down!" You giggled.
"Does that count as shutting Ricky Starks up?" Hook asked with a very serious look on his face.
"Yes." You nodded, looking down at him while he still held you in the air.
"Did you see his face? Are you satisfied?" Hook's features scrunched as he squeezed you, making you laugh and throw your head back in mock annoyance.
"Yes!" You giggled at his ridiculousness. "Yes, I watched the whole thing, his face was priceless."
"Good." Hook chuckled as he dropped you back to your feet. Without letting you go, he gave you a once over and a smirk. "You're wearing my hoodie."
"Huh?" You looked down at the article of clothing and moved to take it off. "Oh, right. Here, sorry."
"No, no," Hook smirked and grabbed your hand to stop your movements. "You look better in it."
"Stop, now you're just being cheesy." you rolled your eyes, but could not stop the smile or blush.
You pulled away and started the short walk back to the locker rooms. Hook joined you at your side and bumped your shoulder.
"I'm just being honest." Hook smiled with a little glint in his eye. "You should wear my clothes more often, maybe Ricky will leave you alone after that."
"If only it were that easy." You smiled shook your head.
Silence fell over you two as they approached the door to your dressing room. When you turned to look back at Hook, his expression was sullen
"It could be." His brows creased, looking almost upset
"Hook..." Your smile fell and your heart sunk.
"Y/N..." He took ahold of your hand and squeezed it.
Of course you had harbored feelings for him since you met, but you always held back out of fear that he did not feel the same and you would ruin the friendship. You cherished your relationship you had and everything about him, from his cold outer shell to his playful jabs.
"Let me prove it to you." He threw the title up on his shoulder as he stared at you thoughtfully. "Come out and celebrate with me tonight, I'll show you how good we could be."
"Hook, I don't need tonight to prove that you would treat me well, I know you would. You already do." You crossed your arms and took a deep breath as you felt anxiety start to spark in your gut. You opened the door behind you and sighed as you entered your dressing room. "I just-"
"Then what's stopping you?" Hook laughed a little as he spoke. He followed you into the room, closed the door behind him and pulled you back into his arms. "Give me a reason."
You felt a shiver go up your spine when his hand made contact with the small of your back and gently pulled you flush to his front.
"I..." You tried to think of something to say, but they were all words without a leg to stand on.
"Just give me a reason and I'll stop." Hook whispered as he tucked a stray hair behind you ear. His hand slid behind your ear and cupped your jaw, his thumb gliding against your cheek adoringly. "Say the word."
"I don't want to ruin our friendship..." You blurted out quietly, color quickly dusting your cheeks.
"What if I wanted more than a friendship with you? What if I wanted to take you out?" Hook's head tilted to the side slightly, his hair flopping with it. He was still holding your face in his calloused hand.
"You want a relationship?" Your voice was small out of shock, which made Hook chuckled and nod.
"Since we met in training, but I just assumed you didn't feel the sa-" Hook's sentence was cut off by you grabbing his cheeks and pressing a soft peck to his lips.
He just stared at you for a moment, unblinking. Then he leaned forward and captured your lips in a kiss that left you breathless for a moment. Your stomach did a flip when you felt his lips curl into a smile against your mouth.
"So that's a yes?" He murmured, noses bumping against each other.
You nodded, a grin spreading across your face.
"Use your words, Y/N," Hook's voice was low rumble in your ear. "Is that a yes?"
"Yes." You whispered.
"Good," Hook smirked as he pulled back. "I'm taking you out tonight to celebrate. Go get dressed, I'll swing by in a few and we'll go grab some dinner. Are you hungry?"
"I could eat." You nodded as your eyes scanned his features.
"What sounds good?" Hook squeezed your hips with his free hand and nudged his thumb under the hem of the hoodie to pinch the exposed flesh.
"Whatever the champion wants." You teased, leaning up to give him chaste kiss on the cheek. "Now shoo, I gotta get dressed."
"Can I watch?" Hook joked, but his smiled fell when he watched you slowly toss the hoodie off, leaving you only in your ring gear.
"I wouldn't mind that." You smirked and pulled him into you.
The kiss was searing. His lips were softer than you ever imagined they would be. You raked your fingers through his hair and his hands roamed your back and hips. His hands dragged up your back to try to find the straps to your top and pull them down your shoulders. Hastily, he broke the kiss and moved to the couch and pulled you into his lap. You straddled his thighs and he kissed down your neck and started leaving open mouthed kisses and nips on your collarbone.
"Someone's in a rush." You teased, which earned you a firm squeeze and a swift smack on your ass.
"Someone's mouthy." Hook whispered into your neck as he sucked a love bite. "I can fix that-"
Knock knock knock.
"Y/N? You in there?"
Ricky.
"Uhh, yeah I'm changing? Talk later?" You tried to respond as Hook made another attempt to take your top off, which you successfully shimmied off.
"Can we talk now? I don't know if you saw but I lost-"
"Yeah I saw Ricky, I-" Your thought fell short and was cut off with a little sigh as Hook latched his lips onto your nipple. "Hook..."
"Don't leave him hanging." Hook's voice was low as he gently latched his teeth on your nipple and kitten licked the sensitive nerves, making you keen.
"Ricky, I'm kinda busy right now, maybe later?" You rushed your sentence out when you felt Hooks free hand that wasn't holding you up in his lap slip down your shorts to your clothed clit.
"Busy? Busy doing what?" Ricky's annoyed tone made Hook groan.
He pulled his hand from your shorts, grabbed his discarded hoodie and pulled it onto your exposed body before he marched to the door and threw it open. He leaned against the doorframe with tense shoulders and a set jaw.
"Busy doing me," Hook's voice was low and taught with frustration as he pushed some hair out of his face. "Mind giving us some space? We were in the middle of something before you came knocking."
Ricky stood with a slack jaw and wide eyes. He glanced back at you and back at Hook. Hook did not bother to wait for Ricky to respond.
"Great, thanks." Hook closed the door in Ricky's face and locked it.
When he looked back at you, your expression was filled with shock and a little embarrassment, but you were on the verge of laughing.
"Hook, Ricky was just-"
"Don't say his name, not when I'm about to make you scream mine." Hook cracked his neck before he pulled the hoodie back off of your body, grabbed your thighs, pulled you down so your back fell on the back of the couch and threw your legs over his shoulders.
He grabbed your shorts, pulled them down your legs and started kissing and biting up your thighs, making you squirm. He pulled your legs up and gently blew cold air on your exposed core, making your hips lift off the couch.
"Hook, please..."
"Louder, I want him to hear." Hook kept his eyes trained on your face as he wrapped his lips around your clit.
Your head dropped back against the couch as he went to work. His hands dug into your hips to keep them down as he licked stripes up your core and planted kisses when he could. You latched a hand on the back of his head for support as he devoured you. When you started to roll your hips for more friction, Hook snaked his hand around and pinned your hips down.
"Fuck, please Hook, I'm so close." You accidentally tugged at his hair harshly, but he only moaned against you.
"C'mon, baby, let go," his encouragement vibrated up your spine as you shuddered against his lips.
He helped you ride out your high before he kissed up your stomach, his breath tickling your skin and making you giggle.
"How do you feel, baby?" He whispered as he kissed the shell of your ear.
You nodded and hummed contently as you pulled his lips to yours for a chaste kiss.
"I could get used to this." You smiled up at him with flushed cheeks and heavy breaths.
He pecked you one more time before he stood at his full height.
"Good," he grinned as he looped his thumbs under the waistband of his shorts. "You wanna keep going?"
"Is that even a question?" Your chuckled died in your throat as you watched him drag his shorts down his legs and his member sprung forward, already dripping with precum.
He smiled when he noticed your tongue dart out and lick your lips.
"Want a taste?" He teased while he stroked his cock a few times.
You nodded and quickly sat up to take a lick up his shaft. He threw his head back as your lips wrapped around the tip and swirled your tongue in delicate circles. He placed his hand on the back of your head and started to bob your head gently, making you gag softly. He gripped your hair and pulled your mouth off with a soft pop.
"I'd love for you continue, but if you keep that up I don't think I'll be able to fuck that pretty pussy of yours. Lay on your back, baby." Hooks words made your cheeks hot as you laid back. "Just tell if it's too much."
He wrapped your legs around his hips and guided his cock into you slowly. The stretch made you bite your lip and grind your hips, which made hook smirk.
"So desperate already?" He teased.
"Been waiting for this for longer than you think." You smiled as you flipped the pair of you over. "My turn."
You slid down on his cock, and when you bottomed out, his hands were already gripping your hips and trying to get you to rock back and forth on his dick.
"Now who's being desperate?" You began to rock up and down.
"You're gonna be the end of me, c'mere." Hook dragged you down to be flush with his chest and pinned your arms behind your back as he started to thrust his hips into yours at a breakneck pace.
You tried to keep you volume to a minimum, considering anyone could walk by your door and hear exactly what you were doing, but the way the head of his cock was dragging against your walls made you throw caution to the wind. You buried your head into the crook of his neck as gasps and whines started to escape your lips.
"Hook I-"
"I know baby, I'm right there too. Clenching around me like crazy," Hook breathed out, his voice strained as his pace became more desperate and sloppy and less deliberate and aimed. "Cum for me baby, I'm right behind you."
His words were enough to make you bite down on his neck to try to muffle the moan that ripped through your chest as you came. You felt Hook's hips stutter a few times before his buried himself in you and filled you up to the brim. He let go of your arms and wrapped you up in his as he nuzzled your neck and gave you a little kiss on your shoulder.
"That was amazing." You smiled as you pushed your self up from his neck and gave him a peck on the cheek. "How long have you been holding out on me?"
Hook chuckled and gave your hip a pinch, which made you wince a laugh a little.
"Too long." He pushed himself up to lean his back on the arm of the couch and traced thoughtful shape on your waist and hip. "You're all mine now though, right?"
"If you'll have me." You smiled as you brushed his hair out of his face.
He kneaded the flesh of your ass and grinned.
"Of course I will," He ran his hand from your butt up your spine and back down. "Now, let's get dressed."
"What's the rush?" You brows furrowed as you slowly pushed off his dick with a wince.
"I'm taking you out to dinner, remember?" Hook grabbed his shorts and pull them up to rest on his hips. "Make sure you wear that."
You followed his gaze to the hoodie that was haphazardly thrown to the side earlier.
"Why...?" You got to your feet and started to get dressed yourself.
"It's chilly out, plus you look good in my clothes." He gave you a look that made your face heat up. He gave you another quick peck before her turned to leave. "Get dressed, I'll be back in ten minutes."
"Sure." You nodded as you watched him go.
The rest of the night was more than enjoyable. He took you to this little hole-in-the-wall and you went out on a walk around the town. You guys found yourself downtown at one point. He took some pictures of you and him, which was more than fun since Hook actually knew how to take a picture and make it look good. After your little photoshoot, Hook got a call from his dad wondering where he went off to.
"I'm with Y/N, Dad...yeah...yeah...I'll let you know...alright...bye." Hook ended the call with a huge smile on his face.
"What happened?" You felt a smile start to grow on your face as you watched him put his phone back in his pocket.
"Dad's over the moon that we finally got together. Just told me to text him when we're back at the hotel and safe." Hook pulled you in and pressed kiss to your forehead. "Apparently him and Excalibur had a running bet going on us. He owes my dad $50."
You could not help but throw your head back and laugh. Eventually, you both made it back to the hotel, where he dropped you off at your room and said goodnight. Once you settled into bed, you started to scroll through Instagram. You were scrolling aimlessly, when a picture caught your eye that made you scroll back up immediately.
It was a picture of Hook and you from tonight. You in his hoodie under his arm. You could easily see the hickey you left on his neck. Your eyes immediately darted to the caption.
"He couldn't keep the title, couldn't keep his tag partner, and he couldn't even keep the girl...not like he had her in the first place."
Your eyes bulged out of your head. You flung yourself out of bed, left your room and ran down the hall to Hook's room. You knocked on it until he opened the door.
"What?" Hook laughed at your disheveled self before you showed him the post.
"Are you trying to piss him off more?" You sighed.
He chuckled and pulled you in for a firm kiss.
"If it means he'll finally leave my girl alone, then yeah." Hook pulled you into his room and shut the door.
"I think that was mission accomplished when you were the one who opened my dressing room door." You smiled into another kiss as he pushed you back towards the bed.
"Then the post is for good measure," he climbed into bed with you and pulled you into his lap. "Now c'mere. Maybe you'll have a better night sleep with me."
"It's the same mattress as mine-" You tried to argue as you rolled onto your side, but he just shushed you.
"Just lay with me, silly." He chuckled as he pulled you close.
To no one's surprise, you did sleep better that night.

Sneak Peak Ch. 1 Ch. 2 Ch. 3 Ch. 4.5
Tumblr media
August 22, 2021 Las Vegas, Nevada
To anyone looking from the outside, Michelle's face was blank as she stared at the ice in her glass in front of her. In her head, however, Michelle was drowning in memories that she had long ago buried. Memories she wanted to forget and reminders of a person she never wanted to be again, and here walks in a materialized man of all her past regrets.
"Micky, you good?" Rhea asked from across the table.
"Yeah, I just need a refill. I'll be right back. Anyone else need a refill?" Michelle asked as she pushed herself to her feet.
Dani wanted another Long Island, but the rest of the table was fine. She started walking back to the bar. She slid into the booth and ordered, feeling a sob bubbling in her chest but she pushed it down.
How could she be so stupid? Of course he would be here, but she did not think in a million years he would remember her.
"Hey-"
The voice made her yelp, surprised by the sudden touch on the small of her back. She sighed when she saw it was only Drew.
"You alright?" Drew leaned against the bar, his brows knit with concern.
"Yeah," Michelle nodded with a sniff, her nose ticklish from being on the verge of tears.
She delicately twisted her nose piercing and rubbed her nose as lady-like as she possibly could.
"He's just an old fling, if you could even call it that. I guess I was just hoping he wouldn't recognize me."
"You and Corbin?" Drew smiled softly, trying not to sound too accusatory, but he was a little shocked. "That's a little bit of a strange pairing."
"What?" Michelle laughed a little with raised eyebrows. "You can't see it?"
"No." Drew spoke without hesitation and shook his head. Michelle laughed a little harder at his reaction, which made Drew grin. "You have such a lovely smile. It's so bright."
"Thank you, you're too sweet." Michelle's attention diverted for a moment as the bartender slid over her glass, which she quickly took a long sip.
"How did you and Baron meet?" Drew asked as he sipped on his pint.
Michelle tried not to choke on her drink and played it off as a little cough. She thought for a short moment, picking her words carefully. As she was thinking, she thought back to that night, images flashing in her mind.
Booming music. His stare was etched into her memory. His touch lit her skin on fire, his cologne smelled expensive. She remembers how his denim jeans felt on her bare thighs.
"We met at a club in New Jersey one night, like, five or six years ago." Michelle offered a smile, hoping that would be enough for him to not press much further than that.
"Were you together long?"
Michelle glanced over her shoulder to see Baron walking back to the table, already looking at her. After short eye contact, he looked away.
Neck kisses. Hickyes. He had a bruising grip that made her feel some type of way. She remembers how he'd tug her hair to make him look him in the eyes, how the cold metal of his rings felt pressed gently around her neck. Her nails dragging down his back. Beds creaking. Same motel, different nights.
"Not particularly. We weren't exclusive." Michelle said quietly as she looked back at her drink and stirred it with her straw.
Drew glanced back at the table, noticed Baron's return and leaned in close before speaking.
"What happened? I seemed to walk into a heated argument earlier. Bad break up?"
She was yelling. He was banging his huge fists on the kitchen table. Holes punched in her walls. Doors slamming shut.
"Ohhh yeah, it was pretty bad." Michelle's laugh had a morose undertone. "Thought I would see the last of him after that though. My mistake."
"Did you not know who he was?" Drew chuckled.
"Not at the time." Michelle sighed as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and leaned on the bar. "I didn't find out until his main roster debut that he was a wrestler. We didn't really do a lot of 'getting to know you' during our time together. It never came up."
"That's unlucky." Drew's laugh boomed, which helped Michelle laugh a little at the fucked up situation. "Was the sex good, at least?"
Michelle shrugged, which only made Drew laugh more.
"What?!" Michelle giggled at Drew, who was leaning over the bar on his forearms and his head was hung, trying to stifle his laughter. "I don't know, it was alright I guess. I've had better since. I think I just liked that he was so...so big I guess? Wait no, I mean...fuck-"
She started to stutter when Drew raised his eyebrows at her.
"I mean he's so tall. I meant to say tall. He had something about him that told me he could...toss me around a bit." Michelle chuckled a blush dusting her cheeks.
"Sure, lass." Drew smiled and stood up straight and took a few sips of his beer.
He put his glass down and scooted his stool closer so when he sat, he bumped her shoulder.
"So you like big guys?"
Michelle ran her tongue along the inside of her bottom lip and shook her head, debating whether or not she should even entertain the question.
"Yeah." She admitted begrudgingly with a blush dusting her cheeks.
"And toss you around?" Drew sounded deep in thought. "You like getting manhandled, huh?"
"Oh yeah, you would love to know, wouldn't you?" Michelle beamed, a playful twinkle in her eye and a sarcastic tone in her voice. The two shared a laugh.
"I would, actually." Drew chuckled and gave Michelle a look that made her heart pound in her chest. "Why do you look so surprised? You told me I had to 'find out for myself'. Did you already forget?"
No, she did not forget.
Michelle glanced back at the table. The group had thinned out. Annie and Matt had left, leaving Baron, Randy, Dani, Damien, and Rhea. She gnawed on the inside of her cheek and her knee bounced, temptation getting the best of her. She grabbed her phone and opened up her messages with Darcy.
"Heading to my room now, love you."
"It's getting pretty late," Michelle smirked, hopped off her stool and took a step back. "Wanna head to my room for a nightcap?"
Drew beamed and got to his feet. He tossed a few bills on the bar, gently placed his hand on the small of her back and guided her towards the exit.
"After you, princess."
The pair quietly stepped into an elevator when Michelle's phone dinged.
"Dani: Where're you going! My Long Island!! :("
"Something came up, I'm calling it a night. See you in the morning."
After hitting send, she powered off her phone entirely and hit button "15" to get to her floor.
"Your girls wondering where you wandered off to?" Drew's voice made her heart skip a little when he broke their silence. She leaned her back against the adjacent wall and laughed.
"I think Dani has separation issues." Michelle rolled her eyes as she spoke. "Can't go anywhere unless she knows. You can imagine how pissed she was when I debuted tonight. Gave me so much shit for not telling her. But..."
Michelle reached out and hooked her index fingers around the band of his jeans and gave him a tug forward. He took a few steps closer until he put his hands on either side of her head and was towering over her.
"I think she can survive if I sneak off for one night. Don't you think?"
Drew watched Michelle carefully as she grazed her fingers across his belt, moved up his chest and started playing with the top button on his shirt. She could feel his muscles tighten under her touch. He licked his lips and let out a small breath he did not realize had been holding.
"How buzzed are you?"
"Sober enough to know what I want," she popped the button that she was fiddling with and dragged her fingers to the next down. "Buzzed enough to actually do it."
Drew's chuckle died in his throat when she popped another button and peeked at his broad chest underneath the navy fabric.
"We're still in the elevator, love." Drew pointed out, sounding a little wary.
"I know." Michelle smirked, keeping eye contact while she traced the metal of his belt buckle and started to pull the end of the belt loose from the belt loops.
"Somebody's impatient." Drew raised an eyebrow at her with a coy smile and glanced at the floor number they were on, which was 13. Michelle unbuckled the belt so it was hanging open on his hips.
"You gonna do something about it, stud?" Michelle's voice was breathy as she leaned up to kiss him.
Ding.
Before their lips could meet, Michelle ducked under his arms and walked out of the elevator. She still had her hand wrapped around Drew's belt, which she pulled from his hips as she walked away from him. Drew's gaze darkened as he followed, watching her hips sway. Michelle reached behind her head and she unclasped her claw clip in her hair and let her red waves fall.
Drew and Michelle reached her hotel room. When she searched her wallet and grabbed her hotel keycard, Drew grabbed the card from her hand, making her spin around with a surprised look on her face. Drew slipped a strong arm around her waist and pulled her flush to his body. His free hand softly held her jaw in place while he pressed a firm kiss to her lips.
Michelle hummed happily into the kiss and closed her eyes as she threw her arms around his neck, fighting back a smile. To her left, Drew's arm momentarily left the small of her back. She heard a beep and a click. Drew opened the door, grabbed her waist with both hands and hoisted her in the air. Michelle squealed, wrapped her legs around his hips, and grabbed on for dear life as he entered her room.
"I've got ya." Drew chuckled as he kicked her door shut, Michelle threw everything in her hands down to the floor, and she kicked off her heels.
He started peppering kisses on any open skin he could get to while he walked to her bed. Her neck, her shoulder, her chest. He slowly loosened his grip so she slid down his body and she was back on her feet. He took her hand, squeezed it and he sat down on the edge of the bed. He opened his legs so she could stand between them.
"How do you want things to go tonight?" He asked quietly while his thumb rubbed over her knuckles.
Michelle took his hand and placed it on her hip while she brushed fly-away hair out of his face.
"Such a gentleman." She smiled as she climbed into his lap.
He welcomed her into his space and wrapped her in a firm embrace. She traced his jaw and bit her lip.
"I love a gentleman, but I don't need that tonight."
"What do you need? Because I can treat you like a princess in here if you asked." Drew's eyes wandered her figure as he spoke.
His finger's danced on the strap of her dress as he pulled it down so it hung off her shoulder. He gave a peck on her collarbone and looked up at her with those big baby-blues of his.
"What if I told you I wanted to walk funny to my gate at the airport tomorrow?" Michelle's voice was small, she was worried about how he was going to respond to her request.
Her heart skipped a beat and as his face changed from soft and sweet to a devilish grin. He grabbed hold of her hips and back and flipped her on her back and stood over her. She squeaked and laughed a little as she made contact with the sheets.
"All you had to do was ask." His rough hands slowly rubbed up her thighs and pushed the fabric of her dress up her body until it bunched up at her waist. He stared at her lacy black thong and licked his lips. "Would you prefer a safe word? Or colors?"
Michelle's heart swelled a little at the thoughtfulness, but blushed at the thoughts of what was going to happen next.
"Colors." Michelle decided as she sat up on her elbows.
"What's the color right now?" Drew asked as he hooked his finger around the waistband of her panties, pulled back, and snapped it against her hip.
"Green."
"Good girl. How about now?" Drew fell to his knees and pulled her thong down her legs.
He slowly opened her legs, kneading the flesh of her soft thighs along the way. He gazed at her pussy like a starved man. He swallowed and licked his lips, his gaze shifting to Michelle, waiting for her answer.
"Green..." Michelle's breathing was a little heavier out of anticipation, and Drew was enjoying watching her sweat. He smiled and nodded.
"Good girl." With that, he dove into her core.
Michelle let out a sigh and lulled her head back as his tongue licked a long stripe up to her clit. He kitten licked her clit before wrapping his lips around it and giving a gentle suck, which made Michelle let out a high pitched sigh. She placed one of her hands on the back of his head and weaved her fingers in his dark hair.
"You want more?" Drew's voice sent vibrations and pleasurable tingles up her spine.
"Yes." Michelle keened, which just made Drew smirk.
"Beg for it, then." Drew pushed her legs open even further and continued to devourer her.
"Use your fingers? Please, Drew." Michelle moaned and gripped his hair a little tighter as he gave her clit a particularly hash suck. He slapped the inside of her thigh, which made Michelle yelp as the slap echoed in the room and made her skin sting and throb.
"Try again." Drew's voice was even and confident while he made direct eye contact with Michelle as he slipped his tongue into her cunt. While his tongue was working her core, his thumb came up and continued to rub tight circles on her bud. She collapsed, laying flat on her back.
"Please sir? Please use your fingers and stretch me out, I need it so bad." Michelle whined.
"That's better." Drew smiled and slipped two fingers into her dripping core. Michelle gasped and smiled when he slowly started to pump his fingers in and out.
"Color?"
"So fucking green." Michelle's laugh was cut off by a gasp when his fingers found that spot that made her toes curl. Drew's eyebrows flew up and her grinned.
"Right there?" Drew laughed a little as he hit the spot again and Michelle's hips rolled against his hand.
He started to finger her a little faster while he latched his lips back onto her clit, which made Michelle's hips buck off of the mattress, but Drew's arm pinned her back down and continued his assault. His pace slowed for a moment, just for him to add a third finger, making Michelle cry out in pleasure.
"Fuck Drew, just like that!" Michelle's voice was strained as she felt herself clenching harder and harder around his finger.
"You close? You gonna come for me, love?" Drew panted as he went back to sucking and licking Michelle's sensitive nerves.
Before she could properly string the words together to give him an answer, her eyes squeezed shut and a chill ran up her spine as she came. Drew was grinning like a cat as he helped her ride out her orgasm, slowly coming to a stop and slipping his soaked fingers from her. She opened her eyes just in time to see him lick his fingers clean with a hum.
"So delicious," Drew grinned as he started to unbutton the last few buttons that Michelle did not get and shrugged it off his shoulders. "Do you have a condom, little one?"
"It's in that bag over there, I think." Michelle muttered softly as she waved her hand behind her in the general direction of the bag, still blissed out from her orgasm.
Drew chuckled at his handiwork and disappeared out of Michelle's sight. She giggled softly and ran a hand through her hair.
"Not bad, Scottish Warrior."
"Aye, if you liked that, you're in for a treat." Drew spoke through his teeth as ripped open the condom wrapper.
She heard the rubber being pulled and rolled, and then he was back in front of her line of sight. She sat up a little and her eyes widened at the sight of Drew's dick for the first time. It was definitely bigger than she had expected, big enough to make her blush even more than she already was. Drew arched a brow and smiled a little, probably proud of her surprise at his size.
"Are you alright little one?"
"Yeah, I'm fantastic," Michelle laughed, making Drew laugh as well. It was standing at attention with an occasional throb. "Just go slow at first..."
"Of course, love." Drew nodded and climbed onto the bed.
He grabbed both of her ankles and yanked her to the middle of the bed, which made them both giggle. He pulled her to a sitting position in front of him, grabbed her dress that had ridden up and pulled it over her head. He cupped her face and pulled her in for a searing kiss while he reached around and unclasped her bra. She let it fall off her shoulders as they broke apart. He reached up and tweaked her hardening nipple, making Michelle whimper, which made him smile
"I love how responsive you are." Drew shook his head in admiration as he pushed her down gently on her back and rested on his haunches.
He grabbed her legs behind her knees, pulled her hips up so they wrested in his lap, ran his hands from the top of the back of her thighs to the back of her knees and pushed her legs as far up as she could stretch. She was completely open to him.
"Color?" Drew took a deep breath and glanced up at Michelle's face, whose brain was buzzing at the idea of him filling her up.
"Green-ah!" Michelle started, but was cut off by her own moans as he pushed the head of his cock past her folds. "Fuck..."
"That's it," Drew's praise had her pussy clench around his cock, which made Drew curse under his breath. "taking me so well."
Soon, he bottomed out and the pair both let out a groan. He slowly pulled out and pushed back in. The stretch Michelle was feeling could only be described as delicious. Her nails dug into his thighs while her back arched off the bed.
"You can go faster..." Michelle sighed, her half-lidded coffee brown eyes meeting his.
He smirked and shook his head as he continued to piston his hips at a slow and deliberate pace. He leaned forward so he was pushing her legs even further back, bottomed out and started grinding his pelvis into hers, rubbing her clit and g-spot as a result. She cried out and he pressed his lips to her neck.
"I thought you wanted me to start slow." He teased and started to suck a hickey on her neck. Michelle was panting in the new position, desperate to grab ahold of something. One of her hands settled on his bicep while the other grabbed hold of the back of his head. She grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled his head up so he could look him in the eyes.
"Fuck me silly." She said with a gleam in her eye and a smirk on her lips.
Drew laughed and sat up straight, pausing his thrusts for a moment to readjust.
"As you wish." He secured his tree trunk arms around her thighs, threw her legs over his shoulders and started fucking into Michelle's core like a jackhammer. The sound of skin slapping against skin and Michelle's whines and moans echoed off the walls. The pair were being a little louder than they thought, since the person they shared a wall with started banging on the wall, trying to tell them to quiet down. (They did not).
"Right there! Just like that, shit..." Michelle alternated from fisting the sheets to trying to grab at Drew for support as he pounded into her at a relentless pace.
Drew's hand reached around her thigh and started rubbing harsh, messy circles on her clit, desperately trying to bring her to a high one more time.
"Fuck!" Michelle squeaked and screwed her eyes shut. "I'm so close."
"I'm right there with you, lass, come on." Drew's pace sped up just enough to make Michelle's breath hitch in her chest. "Give it to me, squeeze my cock."
Drew watched Michelle come undone under him. Her breasts bouncing, her chest heaving and panting, her head rolling back into the pillow. It was all enough to send him over the edge with her.
The two stayed connected for a few moments after the peak of both their highs, gasping for air. Eventually, Drew slowly brought Michelle's legs back down to be horizontal with the mattress. Then, he slowly slipped out of her with a pop. She hissed at the stretch and the emptiness, which made him smile a little.
"Sore?" He chuckled, already knowing the answer to his own question. He got up and walked to the bathroom to throw out the condom.
Michelle laughed sarcastically and sat up slowly, trying not to fall back over because of the little head rush she felt.
"A little," Michelle brushed her hair back out of her face and let out a deep sigh. She swung her legs over the bed and got to her feet to stretch, but she stumbled back and fell on the bed with a chuckle.
"Just lay down! No rush to get up." Drew laughed as he caught a glimpse of her trying to walk from the bathroom sink. "You told me to make you walk funny."
Michelle shook her head and sighed, staring at the ceiling as she spoke.
"I really needed that."
"Me too." Drew agreed, walking back into the bedroom.
"Hey Drew?" Michelle sat up as he rounded the bed to stand in front of her in all his glory.
"Yes, love?" He smiled at her so softly, it made her chest swell.
"Can we...would it be okay if we kept this between us?" Michelle tried to say it as gently as possible. "I know we jumped into this without talking about what we really wanted out of this. I just don't want it to become a thing. I'm not looking for anything serious right now anyway, but I don't want to get a bad rep and make it seem like I'm trying to sleep up the latter. The new girl sleeps with Drew McIntyre, I become labeled the roaster slut or something. Does that make sense?" Michelle rambled on and started to pick at her manicure out of nerves.
Drew took hold of one of her hands and kissed the back of it.
"Of course. I wasn't gonna pressure you into anything anyway, I just assumed this was a casual thing. I won't say a word. It can be our little secret." Drew reassured her and patted her hand. "And you're not a slut, never say that about yourself."
"Thank you, Drew." She used his helpful hand to stand and give him a hug and a peck on the cheek. "I appreciate you understanding"
"You're a bonnie lass, Micky." Drew pulled back and pinched her cheek, which made Michelle laugh and make a face.
"'Bonnie'?" She raised an eyebrow, confused.
"You never heard a' bonnie?" Drew howled in laughter as he pulled up his pants and looped his belt. "Means you're a knockout, you're swell."
"Oh! Well, thank you!" Michelle laughed as she sat back down on the edge of the bed and watched Drew get dressed. She winced a little as she sat, her pussy still a little sore.
"'Course, little one." Drew pressed a kiss to her forehead as he buttoned up his shirt. "I had fun."
"So did I. Haven't had this much fun in one day in a while." Michelle grabbed a hair tie off of her nightstand and threw her hair up in a little bun. She got up and walked to her suitcase to grab a pair of cotton shorts and her Cactus Jack shirt that was maybe two sizes too big. When she turned back around, Drew was already looking at her with a glint in his eye that she could not really read in the dark.
"You're adorable." Drew smiled.
She walked him to her door, opened it and leaned against the frame. He leaned down and kissed her temple and winked at her.
"If you ever want to do something like this again, you know where to find me." Drew eyed the hickey he left on the right side of her neck. He leaned down and gave that spot a peck. "Don't forget to cover that up in the morning. G'night, lassie."
"G'night." Michelle whispered and waved him off, watching him walk back towards the elevators.
She pushed off the doorframe, closed her door, and padded over to her bed. She turned her phone back on and plugged it in. She climbed into bed, fluffed her pillows and sighed contently at just how soft and inviting the thought of sleep after such a long day was. She heard her phone buzz and unlocked it to set her 7:00am alarm. Her flight was at 11:00am, and she was far from thrilled considering it was a little past 3:00am. She threw her phone down, pulled the covers up over her head and dozed off, thinking about what other adventures lay in store for her. ---------------

updates on WIPs
I am so grateful for all the requests that got sent in, I've looked them all over and I'm so hyped to get started on them. Thank you!!
I apologize on the hold up on putting them out and putting out chapter 4 of Bewitched and Beguiled, someone in my family caught covid a few days ago and I've been needing to take care of them and such, so writing has been a little slow.
I hope to be getting to finishing that chapter here in the next day or so, SO keep an eye out. What are the thoughts on the story? Next chapter is gonna heat up with some spicy themes, who are we predicting will be Michelle's first victim??
I'm so thankful for my first fic getting the attention it has. Thank you all for the support.

What if I maybe opened up requests for some imagines or somethin?
I'm thinking about opening up my mailbox for imagine/reader inserts/blurbs/drabbles/headcanons and what not. If anyone feels like submitting some prompts or ideas, drop 'em in my inbox!
Here's who I'm open to writing for, my favorites in bold. This list will probably be edited in some way, shape, or form in the future. I will say it now that I do reserve the right to not take a request if I'm not comfortable writing it (for example I'm open for writing smut, but I will not write non-con). If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask! I feel like this post may be pretty vague since I'm writing it in the middle of the night, so edits will be made in the future regarding rules or further specifications. However, if you see this and you have questions right off the bat, please reach out to me someway and I'll give you an answer ASAP.

August 21st, 2021 Las Vegas, Nevada
Michelle burst through the backstage curtain, earning a hug from Darcy.
"That was killer! What are you calling that submission?" Darcy squealed while shaking her sister's shoulders.
"I'm still working on it." Michelle laughed and started to flush out of embarrassment.
"It's gotta be a badass name, it's a sick move." Darcy patted her shoulder.
"Wait 'til you see my signature." Michelle teased, making the two of them chuckle.
"MOVE!" The shriek made heads turn. Rounding the corner at a brisk walk was Dani, Annie trailing close behind. She pushed people to the side to get a straight shot at Michelle. Dani threw herself at Michelle and started bouncing up and down in her arms. "BITCH WHAT THE FUCK, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!"
"I missed you too, Dani. C'mon, let's get out of the Gorilla, it's about to get pretty busy in here." Michelle linked arms with Dani and Annie and walked backstage towards catering.
"You jerk, you and my boyfriend are keeping secrets from me? Damien just told me everything. Why didn't you tell me you were coming, we tell each other everythi-EVERYTHING!" Dani complained, making Michelle laugh as they all sat at a table and got settled in to watch the next match.
"You know why I couldn't tell you, Dani. You would have blabbed to the whole roaster, the element of surprise would have been ruined." Michelle smiled sympathetically and petted Dani's arm. Dani had a wounded look on her face.
"I think this is our first secret." Dani joked, a small smile dancing across sun-kissed her features.
"Don't be dramatic." Michelle scoffed.
Dani opened her mouth to retaliate, but she closed it when a sound that only could be described as unbridled frustration came from the \ other side of the room. The trio looked to see Charlotte stomp by catering towards the locker rooms, a look of dissatisfaction on her face. Once she was out of sight, Annie snorted.
"I guess time doesn't heal all wounds, huh?" Annie chuckled and elbowed Michelle.
"You can say that again." Dani snickered.
Shortly after Charlotte disappeared, Rhea came limping towards the table. She pulled out a seat, plopped down and grinned.
Tumblr media
"She's pissed." Rhea sighed heavily as she began to fiddle with the salt shaker.
"What? Is she still butt hurt from when I kicked her ass last time?" Michelle half-joked, but her smile fell a little at Rhea's serious face.
"Apparently, yeah." Rhea agreed with an apologetic smile. "She's pissed you're here. I think she's gonna try to get out of the feud they're trying to set up with you two."
"Well if that's the case, I walk. It's written explicitly into my contract that I get to fight her for a title shot." Michelle shrugged, making the table erupt into protests.
"But you just got here." Dani frowned.
"You'd leave just like that?" Annie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Yeah, I would." Michelle nodded. "I'm not settling. I was offered a title shot. I'm getting a title shot."
"I see what you mean." Rhea interjected. "I would be pissed too if I were in your shoes. I also see it from her side too."
"You're siding with her?" Dani was about to jump across the table, but Michelle threw her arm over her friend to make her sit back down.
"Yeah." Rhea grinned and leaned her forearms on the table and leaned in. "'Cause I've been in the ring with you Micky. And I saw you fight her. You fight like a caged animal sometimes. You fight fair, but when it comes down to it, you can fight mighty dirty."
"You did put her through the wringer to get that belt last time." Annie pointed out.
"Yeah, because she cheats. I was tired of it, and I'm sure she hasn't changed in the last couple of years." Michelle groaned. "I fight fair 'til fighting fair isn't fair to me anymore."
"What else was in your contract?" Dani whispered. Michelle grinned and leaned in.
"I'll tell you all later. Not here."
"Micky! Hey Micky!" Michelle whipped around to see Matt, Damien, and "the Legend Killer" Randy Orton himself walking over to their table. "Get over here!"
"Hey boys!" Dani smiled, jumped to her feet and threw her arms around Damien. She gave him a big ol' kiss and smiled. "Look at my handsome boyfriend with his fancy new belt."
Damien put both hands on his the belt wrapped around his waist and showed it off.
"Oh this old thing?" Damien said cooly with a wolfish grin on his face.
"Not like you needed more of a confidence boost, cabrón." Micky teased with a smirk as she kicked her boots up on the table. Damien just rolled his eyes and shook his eyes.
"Sometimes I regret teaching you Spanish, roja."
"Cállate." Michelle chuckled.
"Be nice, Micky." Dani scolded.
"Fine, fine. I'll get on his ass another day." Michelle threw her hands up and got up from her seat to give Riddle a hug. "Congratulations, Damien. And congrats on the tag belts, guys."
"Thanks, Mick." Matt gladly took the hug, then turned his attention to the man next to him with a big smile. "Micky, this is Randy."
"Never thought I'd see the day." Michelle smiled, charm dripping from her voice as she extended her hand. "Pleasure to finally meet the Viper."
"Nice to meet you, Matt has been talking about you being here tonight since our match finished. He spoke so highly of you, I had to come say hello." Randy smiled politely. "You made a hell of an entrance out there."
"Aww thank you." Michelle smiled and put a hand to her chest and shared a look with Riddle.
"Charlotte seemed pissed, she didn't know you were coming out?" Randy chuckled. Michelle shrugged and huffed.
"I guess not. We have some history there, so we'll see how this goes."
"Right, Riddle was telling me you beat her for the title a couple of years ago?" Randy arched a brow.
"Yeah, I think she still has a sour taste in her mouth." Michelle made a face that made Randy chortle.
"Best of luck. Are you coming out tonight after the show?" Randy inquired further.
"Definitely," Michelle nodded with a toothy grin. "Wouldn't miss a good party."
"Alright good, I'll see you then. I'm gonna grab some grub, see you all later." Randy waved and turned his back on the group as everyone said a chaotic goodbye.
Soon after everyone was settled in with their food and drinks, everyone squeezed around one table. Michelle sat between Annie and Rhea, and Dani sat between Riddle and Damien on the other side of the circular table.
The group of old friends sat and watched the rest of the pay-per-view with occasional commentary and anecdotes. Rhea would occasionally lean in and whisper some bullshit in Michelle's ear that would make her cackle. Dani and Damien were being couple-y and adorable. Annie and Matt were quiet, but Matt would turn to her every now and then and make a face to get a giggle out of her, or comment on the match.
Soon, the night was over and everyone packed up their stuff and began to make their way to the MGM for drinks and maybe some gambling. Matt, Annie, and Riddle drove in one care and Damien, Dani, and Michelle all piled into Damien's car.
Michelle sat in the back seat and checked her phone for the first time since her debut. She was trending on Twitter alongside Brock and Becky, which surprised her. She also had several texts.
"Sis⛓: SO PROUD OF YOU! Go live it up in Vegas and celebrate being a big WWE star, I'm going back to my room to call it a night, I'm exhausted. Text me when you make it back to your room safely. Love you 🖤"
"Uncle Phil: Congrats, kid! You looked badass, you made it. Keep being the crazy fighter I watched grow up. Kick some ass."
"Unknown number: Hey Red! It's Eddie, Jon gave me your number, hope that's cool. Just wanted to tell you that you fuckin killed it. I know we're on opposing promotions or whatever, but you should come down to AEW when you can. I bet Jon would get a kick out of it lmao. Hope to see you soon, doll."
"Mox: When I said break some legs, I meant figuratively. Thought you were gonna rip her arm out of her socket with that submission. Proud of you, Micky. Whenever you get a minute, we should grab some dinner sometime. I meant it when I said we gotta catch up. I gotta know the story behind that tat."
Michelle smiled at Jon's text. He was talking about my rib tattoo I had gotten done last year. It was a traditional black and white dragon.
"You're awfully quiet back there, Micky." Dani's voice made Michelle's head snap up from her phone. "Why are you smiling like that?"
"Oh nothing, just going through the texts I missed during the show." Michelle turned her phone off and placed it in her lap.
"Ooh, who texted you?" Dani wiggled her eyebrows as twisted her body so she peered over there passenger seat.
"Well Darcy and Phil, obviously." Michelle nodded as she spoke. "Eddie Kingston from AEW shot me a text too which was a little weird, but I'm not mad about it. He seems like a pretty nice guy, funny."
"Weird, but nice. Who else?" Dani cocked her head to the side.
"Just Jon. That's it." Michelle shrugged and went back on her phone to check her makeup with her camera, but Dani snatched it out of her hands in a flash and went to open her messages. "HEY-"
"JON texted you?" Dani gasped. "The Jon?"
"That's what I said, cariña." Damien chimed in.
"You put him as 'Mox' in your phone? Ugh, you might as well be fucking him." Dani laughed as she scrolled through their messages. "Aww! You call him Jonny!-"
"Okay, enough." Michelle reached through the center consul and plucked her phone back out of Dani's hands. "Seriously, you know no boundaries."
"You're one of my best friends, it's my job to give you shit, especially with your dating history." Dani wagged her finger at Michelle. The redhead frowned deeply at her comment.
"Don't say what I think you're gonna say, I swea-" Michelle groaned, but it was too late.
"YOU LIKE DADS." Dani squealed, making Damien chuckle.
"I have not dated a single dad in my LIFE, all have been single and childless. We've had this argument a million times, Dani!" Michelle's voice was taut with frustration.
"You have a daddy kink-"
"DANIELLA!" Michelle yelped, covering her face as it turned beat red, embarrassed to be talking about this in front of Damien. "I told you that in confidence-"
"You. Like. Dads." Dani did not budge. Michelle sunk into the car seat and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"I do not." Michelle's voice grew small and gravely. "Maybe I have a preference for men a little older than me-"
"Dads." Dani stated, which earned her an icy glare from Michelle. There was a pregnant silence before Dani waved her hand in Michelle's direction, unfazed by her best friend throwing eye daggers at her from the back of the car. "Go on."
There were a few beats of continued silence which was followed by Michelle's heavy sigh.
"I do tend to date older, yes. Dads? No." Michelle crossed her arms in front of her and looked out the window.
"She's in denial." Dani whispered to Damien. He just shook his head.
"Don't drag me into this, cariñia."
"I'm not in denial." Michelle scoffed, aggravated.
"But you totally are. How old have you dated? Hm?" Dani arched a brow and waited with bated breath.
Michelle's face scrunched in defeat and her jaw clenched.
"45."
"HA!" Dani huffed, victorious. "That's older than Phil."
"Do not bring Phil into this conversation, you're gonna scar me and piss me the fuck off." Michelle warned, tone serious.
"You're right, sorry. Too far." Dani nodded with pursed lips.
For a minute or two, it was quiet. Michelle went back on her phone and Dani was trying to find a new song to put on.
"Randy's 41..." Dani's voice was soft, like she was afraid to say it.
"Dani. Just...please, drop it." Michelle had her head thrown back against the headrest, her eyes closed and her voice sounded exhausted at the thought of having to resume the conversation.
"Fine okay, I'll drop it." Dani groaned. "Hey, check out this song, I think you'll like it."
The song started with a soft hum of guitar strums and a steady drop beat with what sounds like radio static in the back. The beat drops, and the voice is hypnotic. It was a vibe for sure.
"I like it, who is this?" Michelle opened her eyes to look at the little touchpad radio to see the song title.
"Daddy Issues" by The Neighborhood.
Dani was fighting so hard to not smile, but both girls broke into a fit of giggles, anyway.
"I swear Dani," Michelle wheezed, wiping a tear that brimmed at the corner of her eye. "I'll knock your ass on the pavement."
"It's worth it." Dani laughed and reached over and patted Michelle on the knee. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." Michelle smiled and grabbed her hand and squeezed it.
After a painful car ride, they finally arrived at the MGM. At the front of the hotel stood Rhea, Annie, Matt, Randy, Drew, and a bald man somehow towering over everyone else.
"What the fuck is Baron Corbin doing here?" Damien said slowly, confusion prominent in his voice.
"No clue." Dani shrugged.
Michelle's gut started to wrap into knots and she broke out into a cold sweat at the sight of him. No way, not tonight.
Damien pulled up in the front of the hotel and put the car into park.
"You ladies jump out here, I'll go park the car." Damien offered, but Dani shook her head.
"I'll stay with you, but you can get out if you want Micky." Dani looked over her shoulder at Michelle, who nodded.
"Alright, see you guys in a few." Michelle sighed, her nerves building as she got out of the car and closed the door behind her.
"I bet she hooks up with Randy tonight." Dani grins as they drive off.
"I think it's gonna be Drew." Damien challenged.
"Bet."
"How much?"
"Loser gives winner head?"
"Deal." Damien chuckled. "Wait, what if it's Baron?"
"We do that thing we were talking about last week." Dani grinned from ear to ear.
"Bring it on."

Back at the front of the MGM, Michelle greeted everyone with the best smile she could muster. Everyone was dressed semi-formal.
Michelle was dressed in a tight little red silk dress with a pair of simple black heels.
"Lady in red." Rhea let out a wolf whistle and grinned.
Michelle just laughed and adjusted the strap on her shoulder.
"Let's get inside, I need a drink."
"Yes, ma'am." Rhea chuckled.
The large group wandered into the hotel, made their way to the bar in the casino. Annie picked out a booth big enough for everyone to take a seat. Then Randy stood up.
"First round is on me, everyone. What do you all want?" He smiled as everyone cheered with some scattered "thank you's" and drink order's being yelled out.
"Can someone help me grab the drinks?" Randy threw his head in the direction of the bar. Michelle got to her feet and pulled her skirt down.
"I'll come." Michelle offered politely. Randy smiled, nodded and extended his hand.
"Ladies first."
Michelle laughed a little as they started to walk towards the bar. The pair were quiet until the drinks were ordered, then Randy decided to spark up a conversation.
"So what got you into wrestling?" Randy turned his full attention to Michelle.
Tumblr media
She let out a breathy laugh and leaned on the bar to face him.
"It's a bit of a long story." Michelle bit her lip. Randy just smiled.
"We have time." He made it sound so simple. She sighed.
"Well," She sighed and started picking at a hole in the wooden bar with her nail. "Do you want the long-story-short or the long-story-long?"
"Whichever you want to tell." Randy laughed and inched a little closer.
"Well, I guess it technically started when I was a kid." Michelle rolled her eyes at her own words. "That sounds so cheesy leaving my mouth, but it's true. I had some behavioral issues, I was a really angry kid. Cussing at teachers, getting into fights on the playground. Since my parents couldn't afford to put me into some sort of behavioral correction courses or therapy or some shit, they put me in sports. They thought I just needed to expend my excess energy." Michelle laughed, which made Randy chuckle a little.
"So they put in some wrestling classes?" Randy asked as the bartender brought out their first drink of eight, which was Randy's. He ordered whiskey neat.
"Not at first, no." Michelle giggled. "First they put me in soccer, but that quickly made them realize I needed to be in a contact sport."
Randy laughed into his glass mid-sip.
"Oh, God." He said as he put his drink down.
"I think I was around nine years old when Darcy signed me up for this wrestling summer camp? I met Annie and Daniella there." Michelle nodded her head back to the table, where it looks like Damien and Daniella had made their way to the table and sat down.
"Oh shit," Randy nodded along, still engaged. "You guys must be close then, huh?"
"Maybe a little too close." Michelle chuckled, the car ride to the hotel flashing in her mind. The bartender slid her drink over to her, a sex on the beach. She took a sip through her straw, then continued. "Anyway, I went to that camp for years, I loved it. Wrestling was one of my passions for all of my life, especially with having someone like Darcy for an older sister."
"I think I remember seeing you running around backstage when you were younger. Darcy loved the shit out of you." Randy grinned. "If you weren't with Darcy, you were either following Punk around or you were Jon's shadow, from what I remember."
"I was. Those were some of the best years of my life." Michelle smiled, some sadness flashing across her face for a moment.
"I feel a 'but' coming." Randy raised an eyebrow and took another sip of his drink. The bartender brought out the third and fourth drinks, both of them were Long Islands.
"But," Michelle sighed. "Darcy never wanted me to get into wrestling full time, even when I was a kid. So I tried out other sports, until I eventually fell in love with hockey. I started around eleven and I played until I graduated high school, and I got a full ride to University of Minnesota Duluth."
"Wow." Randy's eyebrows shot up. "That's incredibly impressive. What position?"
"Center forward." Michelle laughed. "I was the most offensive player on the ice. I was strong and fast, I was conditioned to be one of the best recruits of my year according to my coach."
"What happened?" Randy asked, confused by her impressive resume. Why is she standing in front of him when she was destined to be successful in another field?
"I got into a skiing accident while on vacation with my family. I fractured my femur and my tibia in my right leg and my ankle on my left. It was mid-season my freshman year and I was predicted to be out of the game for almost a year. I lost everything. I lost my position on the team, my scholarship, everything."
"Wow. I'm so sorry." Randy's expression was surprise mixed with sympathy. "How did you recover from that?"
"I worked hard at rehabilitating myself. I cut my recovery time in half and was walking normally again by July of that same year. During my recovery, Daniella and Annie reached out and told me that they were in New Jersey training at The Monster Factory. I didn't have anything to lose. So, I packed up everything. I drove halfway across the country to New Jersey, moved into Annie and Dani's little apartment and started my training. I enrolled in a community college out there and was able to get a degree in business. I went to school and trained during the day and I worked nights. I was determined to be successful." Michelle took a deep breath after her rant. "I'm sorry, I don't want to sound like I'm bragging-"
"No," Randy cut her off curtly. There was a beat of silence where they looked at each other, both surprised by his sudden outburst. "Don't be sorry, you should brag. You've been through so much already for being so..." he trailed off, his gaze raking over her slowly. He swallowed dryly and then cleared his throat.
"So?" Michelle pressed, taking another step closer to him as the last four beers were placed in front of them.
"I'm not sure if I would have been able to bounce back from that at your age." Randy concluded as he shifted his gaze to his almost empty drink.
"I didn't think I could bounce back either, but I did by some miracle." Michelle laughed as she haphazardly started to collect the drinks. "You grab the beers, I'll grab the rest?"
"Sure." Randy smiled softly and collected the pints in his large hands. "Is that how you met Damien and Matt?"
"Huh? Oh, the Monster Factory? Yeah." Michelle laughed. "Yeah, that's where we all met, and the rest is history. We all trained there together though for a short period, we all went our separate ways eventually. Matt went on to perform in the independents for a while. Damien and I got picked up by Ring of Honor and the girls got signed to Impact. But, by some other miracle, we all reunited at NXT."
"Sounds like fate." A chuckle rumbled in Randy's chest as he spoke. As they approached the tables, Randy slowed down a little, making Michelle pause and turn to him. He leaned in a little and smiled. "Which version of the story was that?"
Michelle smirked.
"The short version, believe it or not."
"What happens in the long version?" Randy sounded skeptical, but he still had a grin on his face, amused. Michelle glanced back at the table for a moment and observed her old friends, now co-workers, laughing and sharing stories. Her heart warmed at the sight. She looked back at Randy with a weak shrug.
"A story for another time?" Michelle bit the inside of her cheek with an apologetic look on her face. "I don't tell just anyone the long version."
"Why's that?" Randy took a step closer, making their arms brush. She took a moment to find the right words before speaking carefully.
"I wasn't exactly the best version of myself back then." Michelle whispered. "Some parts of the long version I like to relive as infrequently as I can."
Randy nodded, an empathetic look crossing his face.
"I completely understand. Maybe a little more than you know," Randy winked with a grin. "I understand not being proud of your past. Listen, there's no pressure to tell me anytime soon, but just know that if you ever feel like spilling your guts to someone, you can come find me."
Michelle blushed a little at the sincerity. She nodded as a small smile bloomed on her face.
"Thank you, Randy."
"Of course, sweetheart." Randy smiled and walked back towards the table with the drinks. Michelle stood back for a moment, processing the new nickname that had her breath hitch in her throat. She swallowed, her throat very dry suddenly, then made her way back to the table.
Conversations resumed and many thanks were tossed in Randy's direction for getting the drinks. After a while, Michelle excused herself to use the restroom.
When she opened the restroom door to return to the casino bar, she froze. Leaning against the wall was Baron Corbin. Anger and annoyance prickled in Michelle's chest.
"Fuckin' creep." She muttered.
"Oh c'mon, you haven't even said 'hello' to me tonight." Baron rolled his eyes.
Tumblr media
"Maybe if you used that gorilla brain of yours, you can deduce why." Michelle practically growled at the man who stood almost a foot taller than her. She attempted to push past him but he quickly caged her between his arms.
"That wasn't very nice." Baron said in a sickly charming voice. "Try again."
"Fuck. Off." Michelle warned through clench teeth. "Before I break your nose."
"Is that anyway to talk to an old friend, Veronica?" Baron sneered with an evil smile. Her face turned red with fury at his use of the word 'friend'. He knew exactly how to get under her skin. She pushed him away and took a few steps away from him, only for him to grab her arm and tug her back. "We're not done-"
"Don't you ever call me by that name again." Michelle whisper-shouted. "Or I'll-"
"Or you'll what?" Baron challenged. His tone made Michelle waver for a moment, but she just got more upset.
"Or I'll shove my stiletto so far up your ass, your Bigfoot looking-ass will be hobbling around seven inches taller. Let me go." Michelle yanked her arm away from him, but his grip only tightened and held her closer.
"Y'know I didn't even recognize you at first," Baron leaned down so his lips brushed her ear. One of his hands reached up and he traced a shape at the nape of her neck, sending chills down her spine. "but after I spotted that little crescent moon tattoo on the back of your neck here, I knew it had to be you."
"She may be in the same body, but you're looking at a different woman." Michelle pulled away with a frown.
"She's not that different." Baron smirked. "She's got that same fire in her that I liked so much."
"And you're still as arrogant as I remember." Michelle bit back.
"Aw, I thought you liked that about me, sweetheart." Baron leaned his back against the brick wall, still holding her by her wrist and smiling.
"I was never your 'sweetheart'." Michelle furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head, absolutely irate.
"I beg to differ," Baron made a suggestive face. "There were a few occasions."
"What do you want from me, Corbin?" Michelle finally was able to yank her hand out of his clutch. He watched her with an unamused expression. He shrugged.
"Just wanted to see how my favorite dancer was. Y'know, since it's been so long." Baron had the biggest shit-eating grin on his face as he watched Michelle shake with anger.
"You fucking grimy bast-"
"Is there a problem, here?" Michelle whipped around to see Drew standing a few feet away from them, arms crossed over his broad chest and a wary look of confusion on his face as he glanced between the pair. You could cut the silence in the air with a knife.
"No." Michelle shook her head, but her voice shook a little. "No, no problem."
"Are ya sure?" Drew asked again and gave Baron a look that could only be described as back-the-fuck-off. "The table was wondering where you wandered off too."
"Yeah, I'm fine." Michelle took a few steps towards Drew, but not before throwing an irked look back towards Baron. "Did you guys order food?"
"Yeah." Drew nodded, still staring Baron down, but Baron didn't even look close to intimidated. He opened his arm and she tucked herself into his side. "C'mon, lass."
Drew and Michelle walked back together quietly, him keeping a watchful eye out.
"Are you alright? Was he giving you a hard time?" Drew's deep voice vibrated against Michelle's body.
"He...well..." Michelle didn't know what to say without giving herself away.
"You can tell me, dove." Drew encouraged gently. "I'll kick his teeth in if he tried to hurt you or do somethin' to you."
"He was just chatting me up, but I was just telling him to back off." Michelle sighed and leaned in a little to Drew.
"Well if he tries to pull anything, I'll rip him a new one." Drew threatened as they neared the table.
"It's not necessary Drew, but thank you." Michelle smiled at the Scotsman.
"Of course, little dove."
The two sat back down at the table and Michelle let out a sigh of relief.
"What happened to you?" Rhea asked with a smile that made Michelle relax.
"Just a long line at the bathroom, you know how it is."
Her response didn't raise questions and conversation continued on as normal. However, on the inside, Michelle was wrecked with anxiety after her encounter with Baron. Another ghost from her past has come to haunt her , and to make it worse, it's her fucking co-worker.

Sneak Peak Ch. 1 Ch. 3 Ch. 4 Ch. 4.5
Tumblr media
Las Vegas, Nevada August 21st, 2021
The moment she stepped off the plane, Michelle called her sister. She was supposed to be on the flight with Michelle, but somehow she missed the flight.
Ring...ring...ring...
"Hi! Sorry I missed your call, just leave a messa-"
Click.
"Damn it!" Michelle growled as she rolled her small luggage to baggage claim and dialed again.
Ring...ring...
"Micky I'm so sorry-"
"What. The fuck. Is wrong with you." Michelle's hushed voice was dripping with venom. "I am in Vegas. Where are you?"
"Phil is driving to the airport right now-" Darcy started, panic obvious in her voice as she tried to keep herself and her little sister calm, but Michelle was beyond consoling at this point.
"I knew I should have picked you up this morning, but I thought you were the responsible one of the two of us. I kept calling, and calling and calling. This is the biggest night of my life thus far and you're still in Chicago." Michelle's voice was slowly raising in volume, causing people to turn their heads.
"I'm gonna try to get there as quickly as possible, honey, okay? I went a little too hard last night and I slept through my alarm. It's only a four hour flight, I'm so sorry." Darcy tried to bargain, but she braced herself on the other end for Michelle's wrath.
"Sorry? Oh you're sorry? Yeah, because 'sorry' is gonna magically poof you here in Vegas. We'll be square if you can make it to Vegas before the show. Text me updates on your flight. Goodbye, Darcy."
Click.
Michelle ran a manicured hand through her hair and heaved a sigh as she approached baggage claim. She grabbed her other suitcase and made her way to call an Uber to get to the hotel, but her eyes caught a little sign to her right, which read "MJ :)" in thick red ink.
A smile cracked her exhausted expression as she met eyes with the one of the only people who could possibly ease her worries at this moment.
"Damien...?"
Tumblr media
"Hola, hermana." Damien grinned with a heavy pat on her shoulder, which turned into a hug. He looked similar to Michelle, dressed casually in a pair of sweats and a loose tank top. "How was your flight?"
"Awful, Darcy missed her flight." Michelle tried not to sound too disappointed, but Damien's eyebrows flew up and his eyes scanned the airport behind her like this was the first time she noticed she was alone.
"No kidding...huh. I'm sorry, Micky." Damien leaned over her and grabbed the bigger suitcase from her hands, pushed down the handle and grabbed hold of the other handle that was stitched to the bag. "C'mon, I'm parked in a red zone, you'll catch me up in the car."
Michelle couldn't help but laugh a little as the two jogged to Damien's car, haphazardly threw her luggage in the trunk, and drove off.
"I thought no one was supposed to know I was coming." Michelle finally asked, which made Damien chuckle.
"Yeah, well that all got ruined when I accidentally overheard Stephanie and Vince chatting. One thing led to another, I offered to pick you up, they said yes, and now I'm here. I was told not to tell a soul though. Sounds like you're a pretty big deal tonight?" Damien wiggled his eyebrows.
"No pressure." Michelle's sad little chuckle did not go unnoticed by Damien.
"You'll be great, chica! From what I overheard, you're gonna steal the show." Damien reassured her as they pulled onto the freeway.
"Knock on wood." Michelle leaned on the car door and stared at the Vegas strip, which did not look quite as magical in the daylight.
"Hey, the girls will be excited to see you tonight." Damien tried to bring a smile to his friend's face. "Dani, Bella, Rhea..."
Michelle did smile a little at the thought of seeing her girls. She grew up with Dani and Bella in Minneapolis. The three met at a wrestling camp Darcy signed her up for when she was just a little kid, and they were fast friends. Fast forward, now those two are the current women's tag-team champions and Michelle had finally made her way to join them in the big leagues.
Dani's ring name was Ivy Stone, but they tend to shorten her name to Ivy, and she's been nicknamed "The Spitfire" for her spunk she has in and out of the ring. Her in-ring personality was not far off from her actual personality, maybe her real personality had less of a filter. Her big mouth has gotten the three of them into some trouble over the years, for sure. She was strong and was known for her tricks and flips during her matches. She's loud, bodacious, and unapologetically herself, which is what Michelle thinks attracted Damien to her in the first place. They've been dating for about nine months, and from what Michelle can tell, they've been pretty happy.
Annie, whose full first name is Annabelle, goes by Bella Mason, and her character could not be more different in the ring versus outside. Bella has always been on the quiet side, rarely speaking out of turn. Polite, genuine, harmless. In the ring, however, she's a terrifying 5'4 little monster. Fast, nimble, unsuspecting. She was nicknamed "The Bombshell" for her blonde hair at first, but her technique in the ring proved to be more fitting for the nickname.
The three women were in NXT together, and soon enough Michelle met Rhea. Rhea and Michelle bonded quickly and slid into the friend group rather quickly. Dani and Annie often joked that Michelle and Rhea could have been related, since their aesthetics matched well. Both had an overall dark look with dark makeup, and both were fairly intimidating to share a ring with. They both were tall, and had broad shoulders and strong legs, but Michelle was a little smaller than Rhea overall when it came to muscle mass and wingspan.
"I miss them." Michelle smiled at the memories flashing in her head. "Do they have any idea something's happening tonight?"
"Not that I know of." Damien shrugged as he took the exit off the freeway. "You know Dani, she would be all over me if she knew you were coming. Those three have been waiting for Vince to bring you up for months. If she knew, I wouldn't be able to stop her from coming to the airport to pick you up!" Damien laughed, and finally Michelle started laughing, a weight lifting from her chest.
"You're right." Michelle's laugh died down to a chuckle as they pulled into the hotel parking lot. They both got out of the car, grabbed her bags out of the trunk and started walking to the elevators to get into the lobby.
"So how was Rampage last night...? Traitor." Damien teased, shoving her shoulder gently. Michelle's eyes lit up and she shoved him back hard, making Damien howl with laughter as he stumbled. "I was kidding, chica! Relax."
"You better be." Michelle laughed, an honest grin on her face. "It was great! Phil was wonderful, my sister couldn't be prouder, and I got to see Jon, which was nice. Some of the guys recognized me over there, which was surreal, but it definitely was a bit of an ego boost. Of course most of them just knew me as 'Punk's Niece' or 'Darcy's Sister', but they also said that they watched some of my NXT stuff. Weird, huh?"
"You saw Jon?" Damien's voice fell to a whisper, like he was afraid Jon would hear them gossiping all the way in Chicago.
"That's all you got from that?" Michelle shook her head as she pushed the elevator button.
"Well no. Congratulations they saw your work in NXT, congratulations to Punk and your sister, blahblahblahblahblah," Damien's voice moved a million miles a second and his hand moved in a talking motion. "But you saw Jon?"
Ding.
The pair shuffled into the elevator and watched the doors close.
"Yes."
"And?" Damien waited with an expectant face, almost looking offended she didn't give him any more information. "This is the same Jon Moxley you were like, in love with, right? What happened"
"Okay, let's not go that far-" Michelle sighed, regretting bringing his name up, but Damien cut her off almost immediately.
"Oh come on, drop the ice queen act for two seconds, hermana. Don't think I didn't forget that night you got absolutely trashed and spilt your guts to me after that one NXT Takeover in New York." Damien chided, making Michelle groan and roll her eyes. She needed to get out of this elevator.
"Will you stop bringing up that night? I was so embarrassed in the morning." Michelle muttered bitterly.
Ding.
The elevator doors slid open and air conditioning hit Michelle's face. She let out a content sigh.
"What happened?" Damien pressed as the two wrestlers walked to the front desk.
"Not much really. I had to leave fairly quickly after the show to get some rest for my flight. We said hello, shared a drink, swapped numbers." Michelle shrugged. She chatted with the front desk, got her room key, and they both made their way to another elevator.
"That's it? I thought you would have found the closest storage closet and fucked like rabbits." Damien laughed, then winced when Michelle promptly elbowed him in the ribs. "Ow, fuck what was that one for?"
"For being a jerk," Michelle laughed, not being totally serious in her insult. A beat or so passed as they entered the hotel elevator and pressed her room level. She glanced up at Damien and smirked. "but don't put something like that past me."
"I don't. That's why I said it." Damien smirked back and wiggled his eyebrows.
"Don't make me elbow you again." Michelle warned.
"Sorry." Damien chuckled.
The conversation was minimal for the rest of the elevator ride and the walk to Michelle's room. It mostly consisted of more teasing and Damien inviting Michelle out to drinks and clubbing with the rest of the roaster after the show, which Michelle obviously accepted.
"I'm just down the hall. If you need anything, text me. Vince told me to give you strict instructions to not leave your room until this afternoon, I'll give you a drive to the arena and get you to my trailer where you can get ready, and you stay there until your run-in. Got it?"
"Got it." Michelle nodded.
"Awesome. I'll swing by around 11:45? We gotta be there at noon." Damien checked his watch. "So you got about a few hours to just hang out, order some breakfast. I'll see you later."
"Bye, Damien." Michelle waved him off and closed the door.
She heaved a sigh, threw herself onto her bed and moaned. The bed was so soft. She grabbed her phone and set an alarm so she could squeeze in a little nap before the show tonight. She crawled under the covers, shut her eyes and fell asleep almost immediately.
..........................
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEE-
"Fuuuuuuuck..." Michelle groaned, feeling like shit as she awoke from her nap. It was 11:00, and she had a text message from her sister.
"Sis⛓: Hey Micky! I got a ticket for a 2:00 flight, I'll let you know when I land. Keep me updated!"
Michelle released a sigh of relief at the text. She might be cutting it close to her match, but she'll make it in time.
"Hey Darcy, that's great news! Just woke up from a little cat nap, I'm about to get ready to head down to the arena. Damien is here with me, sounds like he's gonna be sneaking me around tonight. Can't wait to see you. ❤️"
She pressed send, threw her phone in front of her, and hopped off the bed to start pulling herself together to leave. She splashed some water on her face, pulled together everything she needed into her smaller carry-on bag and she was pretty much ready to go.
She waited for Damien to knock on her door, he swept her away and they were off to the arena.
"Nervous?" Damien asked as they pulled up to the arena.
"I'll feel better when Darcy's here." Michelle concluded, feeling a little overwhelmed at the size of the Allegiant Stadium.
"I'm glad she got a flight out." Damien smiled as he parked his car next to his trailer. They both got out, Michelle grabbed her suitcase from the trunk and he opened the trailer door. Michelle turned around to look at the stadium again, thinking about how many people were gonna be watching tonight. She started to feel the nerves, but Damien's voice broke her out of her thoughts. "Shake a leg, princess, anyone might see you out here."
"Sorry." Michelle muttered. She turned on her heel and jogged up the few steps that lead into his trailer. Damien turned to leave, but Michelle called after him. "Wait!"
"What?" Damien whispered with wide eyes, glancing around the other parked trailers.
"Can you get me some food from catering?" Michelle asked with a sheepish smile.
"You didn't get room service at the hotel?" Damien's eyebrows raised, slight annoyance obvious on his face.
"I took a nap." Michelle cringed.
"YOU TOOK A-" Damien's voice boomed, but he quickly drew back. He closed his eyes and scowled, trying to calm himself. "You took a nap?"
Michelle shrugged and nodded. Damien pinched the bridge of his nose, took a deep breath through his nose and took a step towards her.
"Do you know how hard it's gonna be to go in there, grab food for the both of us, and not look suspicious?" Damien pointed in the general direction of the arena, his lips in a thin line of irritation.
"I know, I'm sorry. Please? I need some food, the last thing I had was a finger sandwich at the Rampage last night. I'm so hungry." Michelle bit her lip, eyes pleading.
Damien thought for a few moments, jaw clenched and fingers tapping impatiently on his hips. He sighed and wagged a finger in his friend's direction.
"Fine. But!" he pointed at her definitively. "We do it my way."
"Thank you, Damien!" Michelle grinned and gave him a quick hug. "You're amazing."
"You vex me, Grimes..." Damien shook his head and jogged off.
Michelle shut the door with a rattling thud and took a moment to look around the trailer. The first thing that caught her eye were the several photos he had framed on the small dining table.
There was a picture of Damien and Dani the night he one the NXT North American Championship belt. She was in her ring gear, grinning from ear to ear as she looked up at him. He had an arm wrapped around her. He was looking at the camera, holding the title. Even back then, she had a major crush on him, but she would never admit it.
He had another picture of him, Dani, Annie, Matt Riddle, and Michelle. It was a self-timer photo someone had taken on their phone in some hotel room. The group of them were squished shoulder to shoulder on someone's bed. Our chins were placed in the palms of our hands and we were smiling like idiots, we looked like we were taking a cheesy family photo.
The last photo was a picture of Damien, Rhea, and Michelle. She was standing between Damien and Rhea, holding the NXT Women's title. Michelle smiled at the picture, recognizing it as the night she pinned Charlotte Flair to obtain her second title win during her time in NXT. Michelle's makeup was smudged and her hair was a mess, but the smile on Michelle's face was beaming.
She sat down in one of the chairs strewn around the trailer and held onto that memory a little longer, a ghost of a smile on her face.
"So long ago, but it feels like yesterday..." Michelle whispered to herself as she spared a glance at the pictures, and then at the trailer around her. "Look where I am now."
She poked around the trailer a little more, seeing if anything piqued her interest, but she decided to just sit on her phone and scroll through Twitter and occasionally went over her lines for her promo tonight. Soon enough, a knock came knocking at the trailer door. Michelle scrambled to her feet and not very gracefully tripped over a pair of Damien's shoes, but she caught her footing. She tip-toed to the door and cracked it opened to not only see Damien, but Matt.
Tumblr media
"Holy shi-"
"No way-"
Matt and Michelle spoke at the same time, both of their faces lighting up. Michelle threw the door open and waved both the boys in, then promptly shut it behind them.
"What's up, MJ?" Matt put down the two plates of food in his hands and hugged the redhead in front of him.
"Just flippin' out, nothin' crazy." Michelle laughed and turned a pointed look of confusion to Damien, who just had a cocky smile on his face.
"This was my way." Damien gestured to Riddle, who just had his signature smile on his face. "I had to tell someone to come eat with me in my trailer, so I didn't look too crazy. I was gonna bring Dani, but she's with hair and make-up right now."
"So you're the big secret, huh?" Matt crossed his arms and looked her up and down. "Y'know, I've heard some rumors that some shady stuff was gonna happen tonight, but I'm so glad it's you."
"I'm happy to be here," Michelle smiled and glanced at the two plates he brought in, piled with food. "What-"
"We didn't know what you wanted so we got you a little of everything." Matt's lopsided grin made Michelle laugh and her chest warmed a little.
"Guys, you're the best, thank you." Michelle picked up the two plates and sat down at the small table to start eating.
The three swapped stories and caught up on anything that came to mind, but time flew by and Michelle let out a noise of surprise when she checked her phone.
"You guys gotta go! I gotta start getting ready, you guys need to get in your gear. Get out!" Michelle jokingly started to shoe them out, causing the group to giggle. "Out with you!"
"Kicking me out of my own trailer, unbelievable." Damien rolled his eyes, but Michelle just scoffed.
"You can have it back later, I need to get ready." Michelle finally got them out the door. "I'm so happy to see you both. Thank you for the food."
"Of course, Micky." Matt gave her a huge smile and a thumbs up. "You're gonna kill it tonight."
"Yeah, come find me after your run-in, hermana." Damien waved goodbye as the two men sauntered off back to the arena.
The next couple of hours were a tornado of hair and makeup. She ended up pulling her hair into a messy updo with some stray hairs pulled over her forehead. She did a dark smokey eye with her signature burgundy lip. She started to dig through her suitcase to change into her custom ring gear when her phone pinged. She picked it up, thinking it was her sister, but it was a text from Jon.
"Mox: Break some legs tonight, kid. Lots of love from home."
She opened the text to see there was a video attached. It was a video from Phil's living room. On the TV was the first SummerSlam match of the night, which was AJ Styles and Omos versus Randy Orton and Matt Riddle. The camera panned to the couch. On the couch was Phil, Matt and Nick Jackson, Eddie Kingston, and Adam Page. They were all waving and sending good wishes. The camera flipped, so Jon was in frame now. Jon made a face that made Michelle laugh through the tears welling up in her eyes.
"You got this kiddo!" Phil smiled through her little phone screen. "I wish I could be there with you."
"Show them how it's done!" Eddie cheered.
"We'll be cheering you on, you got a support system over here, Mickey." Jon gestured to all the men behind him.
"It's about time! Welcome to the big leagues, kid!" Matt whooped.
The video ended, and Michelle got a little choked up but she pushed the tears back down since she just finished her makeup. Her fingers flew across her phone's keyboard to respond.
"You got me tearing up in full hair and makeup. Thank you guys for the support, it warms my heart."
She put her phone down after she hit send and fanned her face to try to stop from looking too blotchy. After a few deep breaths, she went back into her suitcase, grabbed her gear, and changed.
Her new gear was mostly red and black with some white accents. The pants were leather, with the white accents being a latex-y reflective material. On her hips were her initials in big white letters "LG", and on either side of the initials were two big red devil horns. Her top was a black bra with red accents, and her boots were red with black accents.
There was a small full body mirror in the trailer and she was able to get a good look on how it fit. It was snug in the right places and hugged her curves. Her shoulders and back looked good and her abs were toned. She looked good.
A knock at the door startled her, a small noise of surprise escaped her throat.
"What the fuck..." She slowly approached the door and put her hand on the door handle. "Who is it?"
"Special delivery for Lilith Grimes, it's the Sister Special."
Michelle threw the door open and grabbed her sister in a big hug.
"I'm sorry for being so upset this morning-" Michelle started, but Darcy cut her off.
"Bitch!" Darcy laughed and gently shoved her back into the trailer and closed the door. "Don't even try to apologize, I was a jackass for being hungover and not being able to support you throughout today, I'm sorry."
"But-"
"No buts." Darcy shushed her sister, but then gasped. "Holy shit you look HOT. Damn."
Michelle laughed and put her hands on her hips. "I missed you today, I'm so happy you got a flight out."
"Fuck, me too. I was so worried I wasn't gonna get a flight out, but I'm just so happy to be here to support you on your big day. When do you go on?"
"Soon." Michelle sighed. Since there was not TV in the trailer, Michelle had to keep up with the show on her phone, and from what she can tell, Becky Lynch just defeated Bianca Belair. She grabbed one of her NXT hoodies and zipped it up. "I should actually start heading over now, the next few segments are gonna go by fast."
"Oh shit, I was just in time." Darcy laughed as she opened the door.
"Yeah." Michelle laughed and skipped down the steps and jumped onto the asphalt. She stretched and cracked her back and turned to walk side by side with her sister.
Once they were inside the arena walls, Michelle's heart was beating in her ears. Her palms started to sweat and she started to bite the inside of her cheek.
"Y'know what helped me when I got nervous right before I went on?" Darcy nudged Michelle's side gently to get her attention.
"Hm?" Michelle hummed, trying to focus on the sound of their footsteps echoing off the arena walls to calm down.
"I tried to say the alphabet backwards." Darcy grinned.
"You what?" Michelle laughed, confused.
"I would be so concentrated on trying to spell it backwards, I couldn't focus on my nerves. Every time I messed up, I started over." Darcy giggled. "I still do it every now and then, but I've done it so many times now, I know how to say the alphabet backwards now."
"I'll keep that in mind." Michelle nodded as they approached the gorilla position.
It seemed like Nikki, Rhea, and Charlotte had just finished their entrances and the match had just started. Producers and sound technicians spared a couple glances our way, but not much was said before Vince got up from his chair and extended his hand to Michelle, which she firmly shook his hand.
"How's it goin' boss?" Michelle tried to be playful, but as soon as it left her lips, she regretted her words. "Was that too casual? Oh god."
Thankfully, Vince chuckled a little.
"Goin' great, Lilith. You ready? You got the script right? You remember your lines?" Vince's gruff voice was stern. Michelle nodded quickly with a smile.
"Yes sir." Michelle nodded again as she unzipped her hoodie and threw it on an abandoned chair.
"Good. We'll make sure to give you the signal to head out there. Break a leg, kid." Vince put his headset back on and sat back down. "Nice to see you, Darcy."
"Thank you sir." Michelle turned her attention back to the several TV screens broadcasting the show happening 100 feet from her.
"Nice to see you too, Vince." Darcy nodded in her old boss's direction.
The next several minutes were a tense silence, with Michelle silently muttering the alphabet backwards. The silence was broken, however, by a booming, thick Scottish accent.
"Well if it isn't the Dynamo herself!" The two girls turned to see a rather large specimen of a man. He towered over Michelle, and his bicep was the size of her head. He was glistening with sweat and his abs were clenching with every deep breath.
Tumblr media
"Drew, hey! Congrats on the win tonight." Darcy casually hugs the giant behind her with a smile.
"Well thank ya, lass." Drew chuckled and shrugged.
"Hey, I want you to meet my sister. I guess it's no use trying to keep it a secret anymore, she's debuting tonight in like five minutes." Darcy patted Michelle on the back, silently urging her to take a step towards Drew. "Drew, this is my sister Michelle."
"Pleasure to meet ya, miss." Drew took a small step forward, took Michelle's hand and kissed the back of it. All the while, his eyes never left hers. Michelle felt a hot blush creeping up her neck, but she played it off as casually as possible
"I've heard so much about you." Michelle had a smile creeping onto her face. She bit her lip for a moment as she took a once over of him quickly. "You've got quite the reputation."
"So do you. I've heard you can get pretty extreme." Drew nodded, his eyes doing wandering of their own before they went back up to her eyes and engaged in conversation once again. "Are the rumors true?"
"More or less." Michelle's smirk grew to a mischievous grin. "Guess you'll have to find out for yourself."
Drew's eyebrows raised at her challenge. He chuckled deeply and nodded.
"She'll fit in just fine." Drew said to Darcy, which she laughed at. "I know you're about to head out there, so I won't keep you. Lovely to see you both."
"See ya, Drew." Darcy waved.
Michelle fluttered her fingers, silently saying goodbye.
Drew took one more look over his shoulder before he disappeared backstage and winked.
"You weren't very subtle." Darcy pointed out under her breath.
"I wasn't trying to be." Michelle shrugged with a smirk.
"You haven't even been officially assigned to a brand yet and you're already flirting with your coworkers? Michelle." Darcy scolded.
"Don't judge me!" Michelle whispered. "I haven't gotten laid in a minute, and he looks even better than he does on TV."
"You're gonna get yourself into some deep trouble, Micky." Darcy warned. "If that's what you want, you're playing with fire."
"Trouble always seems to find me anyway, Darcy." Michelle pointed out, which made Darcy chuckle.
"Lilith," a guy with a headset taps Michelle on the shoulder. "Charlotte just got the pin. You're cue is in 10, 9-"
"Holy shit." Michelle jumped in place and started walking to the staircase that led up to her entrance.
For a few moments in that dark hall, the only thing Michelle could see was the light coming in from her entrance into the arena, and the only thing she could hear was the cheers from the crowd. Then just for a moment, all she heard was her heartbeat, like it was about to burst from her chest. And then, her music hit.
The heavy guitar strums from the beginning of "Ride with the Devil" by Motley Crue echoed through the arena.
The crowd went nuts. Lilith came around the corner and was momentarily blinded by the spotlights, but the adrenaline pumping through her kept her laser focused on that ring at the end of the ramp. Her focus was on Charlotte, who went from triumphantly holding the title above her head to dropping it at her side.
Lilith bounced from foot to foot and then began a dead sprint towards the ring, high-fiving a few fans at the barricade on the way.
"I can't believe it!" Jimmy Smith exclaimed from the announce table. "It's Lilith Grimes from NXT!"
"What the heck is she doing here?" Byron Saxton was on his feet and his hands were on top of his head.
"Here she comes! The Moxie of NXT has made her way to the WWE Stage."
Lilith dived head first and slid under the bottom rope, and pushed herself up to a kneeling position about two feet away from Charlotte, still maintaining intense eye contact. She got to her feet and took a step forward, her aura dripping confidence.
The crowd was still going ballistic. Nikki was in the corner of the ring, mouth hanging open. Lilith was able to catch Rhea out of the corner of her eye. She was favoring one of her knees, but the look on her face was priceless.
Tumblr media
"What the hell are you doing here." Charlotte sneered at Lilith.
"Aww, you still hate me?" Lilith's face morphed to faux sympathy. "Glad to know some things don't change."
Lilith started circling Charlotte, looking her up and down, then locking her eyes on that title belt.
"You didn't answer my question." Charlotte whipped around to be almost toe to toe with Lilith.
Lilith licked her lips, trying to intimidate her opponent. She caught a glimpse of the Jumbotron, the camera was focused on trying to catch a glimpse of the heated words being passed between the two wrestlers in the ring.
"I'm here for your title, bitch." Lilith spit out slowly. As soon as the last word left her lips, Lilith attempted to grab the title out of Charlotte's hand, but Charlotte was quicker.
Charlotte took a couple steps back, spun around and was gonna try to hit Lilith with an elbow to the jaw, but Lilith duck out of the way just in time. Lilith blew a low whistle and her eyes went wide.
"Woah, calm down." Lilith's voice was dripping in condescension, which only angered Charlotte more. She bounced her body off the ropes, ran full speed at Lilith and reeled back a punch.
Lilith quickly rolled out of the ring and threw her hands up, motioning "wait".
"Is this what you want?" Charlotte shouted, holding the title up. The crowd roared, waiting for Lilith's response. "Come back in here and get it then, bitch."
Lilith shook her head, jumped up to the apron and slugged Charlotte with her forearm, knocking the newly crowned champ back. Lilith bent down, jumped over the top rope and clotheslined Charlotte onto her back, dazed.
Lilith rolled out of the ring, and made a grabbing motion in the direction of Jimmy Smith.
"Mic, please." Lilith's tone was biting. Jimmy quickly handed her a mic. She tapped it a few times before she started speaking into it. "Charlotte! Long time, no see, huh?"
Charlotte started to get back to her feet as Lilith got back onto the apron and bent at the hips to enter the ring over the second rope.
"Thought you saw the last of me?" Lilith challenged as she became eye to eye again with the champ. "Think again. I'm back, and I'm back with a vengeance."
Charlotte nabbed the mic out of my hand with an aggravated look on her face.
"What do you want." Charlotte's voice was dangerously low.
Lilith laughed and swiped the mic back with a little more force.
"I'm here to take another one of those from you, since I had so much fun taking it from you last time." Lilith pointed at the RAW Woman's title that Charlotte had just won.
Charlotte gripped the title a little tighter and shook her head. She grabbed the title and launched herself at her opponent, using the belt to bludgeon Lilith to the ground. After taking a few hits, Lilith was able to kick out from Charlotte's straddle and escaped to a corner of the ring. Charlotte dropped the title and charged at Lilith, who at the last possible moment ducked to the right. Charlotte followed her, but quickly regretted it as Lilith bounced off the ropes and leaped into what could have been a hurricanrana turned into an octopus submission hold.
Tumblr media
"Tap, and I won't dislocate your shoulder." Lilith spoke through her teeth, her voice was venomous.
After a few moments, Charlotte tapped. Lilith held the hold for a few extra seconds, then released Charlotte where she collapsed on the mat.
She took a couple breaths, grabbed ahold of the title that was tossed aside earlier. The crowd erupted into cheers. She examined the title, smiled, and tossed it onto Charlotte's body on the floor. Her music started to play as she rolled out of the ring. She made eye contact with Rhea, sent her a cheeky wink and mouthed "We'll talk later". Rhea nodded with an amused look on her face.
Lilith marched her way up the ramp, cracked her neck, and walked backstage with a smile.

"The Bewitched and the Beguiled" Ch. 1:  "Two Ghosts"
Summary: On the night of her Uncle-in-law's return to professional wrestling, Michelle reunites with an old friend and introduced to a new one.
Word count: 4k
Warnings: Cursing, brief mention of past drug use, suggestive elements, angst if you squint, fluff, mutual pining, reluctance to admit feelings, alcohol consumption. That's it? This first chapter is pretty tame, but it'll pick up here pretty quick.
A/N: It is currently 3:00 am, forgive me, but the first chapter is finished! Listened to "Two Ghosts" by Harry Styles while writing this. First half of this is establishing Darcy and Michelle's relationship, so it may seem a little slow, but I'll make it worth your while ;) This one got away from me a little bit, but overall I'm happy with the character/relationship establishing done with most of the AEW boys Michelle will be seeing. Lightly edited, forgive any mistakes. Please don't repost as your own or copy my work without crediting me. Taglist at the bottom of the chapter, reply or message me to be added <3 Thank you! I hope you enjoy!

Tumblr media
Chicago, Illinois August 20th, 2021
"Alright Mitch, you've got five seconds or I am out the door without you. One...two-"
"Fuck, alright I'm coming I'm sorry." Michelle cursed as she stumbled out the door of her hotel room, fumbling with her wallet as she shoved her keycard back into its wallet sleeve. Michelle closed her door and wiped her sweaty palms on her tight leather jeans and came face to face with an impatient Darcy.
"Who pissed in your cheerios?" Michelle tried for a joke, but Darcy just sneered in response and gave her sister a firm shove toward the elevator.
"I'll be damned if we're late for Phil's debut because of your dumbass. Hop to it, Jacobs."
"Whoa Darcy, relax. We're literally five minutes from the arena and the show doesn't start for literally hours. Just relax okay? Everything will be fine." Michelle linked arms with her sister and brushed some of her denim blue hair out of her face, which didn't try to hide an exhausted expression.
"I know, I just want tonight to go well for him. He deserves this." Darcy sighed as the pair entered the elevator and pushed the button for the garage floor.
"He's debuting in his home town with his lovely wife by his side supporting him. What else could the man ask for?" Michelle laughed as she checked herself out in the reflective elevator door. She brushed some lint off of her cropped CM Punk t-shirt and tightened her ponytail. As she leaned forward to touch up her lipstick, the doors slid open with a ding.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Darcy whispered as they began their walk to Darcy's car.
"Of course, anything." Michelle smiled and gave Darcy her undivided attention.
"Tony offered me a contract..." Darcy's face broke into a grin, while Michelle gasped.
"Darcy!!" Michelle grabbed her sister's shoulders and shook her. "What did you say!?"
"There a details that still need to be worked out, but I think I might take up his offer." Darcy nodded, saying her statement slowly and carefully as they approached her sedan.
"That's amazing, Darcy, I'm so happy for you. C'mere." The two shared a strong embrace and entered the car, Darcy driving and Michelle in the passenger.
"He even asked after you." Darcy laughed as she buckled her seatbelt and started the car.
"He doesn't know I'm signed to make my WWE debut, right?" Michelle's nose scrunched and an eyebrow flew up in confusion. Darcy let out a huff of a laugh and put the car into reverse.
"Oh he doesn't know, but I think even if he did he would still ask." Darcy pulled out of the parking spot and flew out of the garage onto the street. A few car horns honked and echoed off the buildings of the Chicago skyline. "You're a hotter commodity than you give yourself credit, Micky."
"Okay first, slow dow-" Michelle was cut off by another honk, but it was some flashy sport's car trying to make an illegal left turn. Michelle reached over Darcy and honked their own horn as they sped through the intersection. "JERKOFF! Fuck I forgot how fucked up it is to drive in Chicago, next time we're getting a fucking Uber or something. But seriously, you're going so fast, pump the breaks a little."
"Tell me about it." Darcy groaned. "Listen, I just want to get there-"
"And we'll still get there if you go the speed limit, so slow down." Michelle chastised her sister with clenched teeth as she gripped the car door.
"Y'know, for someone who's done some really fucked up shit in their life, I feel like you are in no place to be criticizing my driving." Darcy sighed as they came to a red light.
"Yeah, I did some fucked up shit, but at least I followed traffic law to make sure I got to the places I did my fucked up shit safely." Michelle laughed.
"Do you realize how contradictory that sentence is?"
"Fully aware, but it really doesn't matter, I'm sober now and I've put that shit behind me. My point is just don't go above the speed limit. See! It's 30 miles per hour. Just drive that." Michelle begged as the light turned green.
"Fine." Darcy sighed and let the car roll forward and went with the speed of traffic. "What were you saying earlier? You said first of all, so there's more?"
"Oh fuck uhh yeah, hot commodity??" Michelle furrowed her brows and sighed. "What have I possibly done to be a hot commodity, I've barely started my professional career."
"Micky." Darcy deadpanned as they pulled into the arena parking lot. "You're the current NXT Women's Champion with a following that is totally put over with you. You have a draw with your character, and you had a pretty big draw in the Indies. You can dish a promo like no one's business, not to mention you're built like a fucking buff supermodel. You're major champion material."
"No I'm fucking not, that's you babes." Michelle chortled as she got out of the now parked car. "I still feel like I haven't proven myself, I'm worried the WWE universe won't accept me fully since you're my sister, and you're such a legend. Tomorrow is gonna be a huge test for me."
"You're gonna be great tomorrow sweets. I wish my debut was as big as yours. SummerSlam 34 with and a title shot is huge, you better not mess it up." Darcy joked, but Michelle just nodded and swallowed hard.
"No kidding."
The walk through the parking lot to get to the backstage area was quiet, which only made Michelle more anxious. Once they made it to the locker room and Phil's dressing room, she relaxed a little.
"Honey?" Darcy peeked her head through the door, and Michelle caught a glimpse of Phil's salt n' pepper beard and toothy grin.
"Darcy, come in hot stuff," Phil chuckled and swooped his wife into his arms, cupped her cheek and pecked her lips softly. "I was wondering where you got off to."
"You can blame this one." Darcy nodded her head in the redhead's direction.
"Again, we're still early for fucks sake." Michelle whined, trying to look mad but a smile crept onto her face. "Hey uncle Phil."
"Hey sweetheart, how've you been? I hear you got a big day tomorrow, Miss Lilith Grimes?" Punk wiggled his eyebrows with the use of Michelle's in-ring name.
"He knows? You didn't tell anyone right?" Michelle crossed her arms. "No one is supposed to know."
"Not a soul, cross my heart." Phil reassured with a pat on her shoulder.
"Good, but let's not talk about that, tonight's your big night! How're you feeling?"
"Excited, but nervous as hell." Phil laughed and glanced between the two women in front of him before he bit the inside of his cheek in thought. "Hey Mickey, mind running to catering and grabbing us some waters?
"Yeah no problem! Just don't jump each other's bones while I'm gone, don't need to be seeing that...again." Michelle laughed as she made her way out, but in the few steps it took her to reach the doorway and turn around, her face fell. "You guys aren't actually gonna fuck while I'm gone, are you?"
"Just take your time in catering, maybe grab some dinner." Darcy shooed her a couple more steps back so she could quickly close the door and lock it.
"Dammit Darcy, fuck you! That's why you wanted to be here early." Michelle yelled, but her voice faltered near the end of her thought. She groaned and put her hands on her hips and clicked her tongue. "I'm such an idiot, I think I've fallen for that like ten times."
Michelle toed the ground with her boot and then scuffed it with a frustrated huff.
"You look lost." a gruff voice echoed off the walls of the arena halls, making Michelle jolt, but her scare only turned into nostalgia at the sight of the familiar face. There he was in all his glory and swagger, Jon Moxley.
Tumblr media
Michelle had not seen Jon since his AEW debut, so it had been a few years at least. When Darcy was still in WWE, Michelle often found herself hanging around Jon. The two of them weren't the most talkative with one another, but Michelle found comfort in his presence and he never showed any kind of disinterest and never pushed her away, like she thought he might do.
When they would walk down the halls together, swapping little verbal jabs back and forth, they looked like a little poodle and a Doberman pinscher. Jon, with his scruffy appearance and intimidating stare. Michelle with her curly blonde mane and big brown eyes. The odd couple.
If anyone paid close attention or knew either of them well enough, their friendship made sense.
With her being one of the younger ladies around backstage, Jon felt some responsibility for keeping her safe from any creepers or unwanted attention from anyone else on the roster, even though he was well aware she could handle herself if it came down to it. He found her sense of humor refreshing and her laugh lilting. He liked the way she'd sway and bump shoulders with him while they would watch the show backstage on one of the several tvs. She'd always apologize at first and take half step to the side, but at one point, he gently grabbed her arm and pulled her a full step closer so they'd be standing shoulder to shoulder. Sometimes, she'd drop her head on his shoulder.
Michelle was attracted to the safety and company he provided while Darcy was busy practicing for a match or running a promo. He listened to her when she told him about her dreams to follow her sister's footsteps and pursue a career in wrestling, even though Darcy was very adamant about how she thought it was a terrible idea, since Michelle was a D-1 hockey player committed to University of Minnesota Duluth. He never said much, but he never needed to. He would check on her periodically if she decided to be secluded in her sister's dressing room. Sometimes, he'd have a snack or something to drink for her. While he seemed cold and cruel to others, he wasn't cruel to her.
"Well it's a good thing you showed up then, isn't it?" Michelle beamed as she reached out for a hug. He hesitated for a split second as he did a little stutter step and a thought flashed in his eyes for just a moment, and Michelle didn't miss it. Her arms fell from a confident full extension to a wary bend. "You do remember me, right?"
Jon smiled and chuckled heartily, all signs of hesitation melted off of him.
"Course I do, you're Darcy's kid sister." Jon pulled her into a bear hug and gave a few quick but heavy pats on her upper back. "I guess I just didn't recognize you with the red hair, I think the last time I saw you, you were a blonde. It suits you though. You here for Phil?"
"Yeah, but uh..." Michelle glanced between the dressing room door and Jon. "I think my plans got shifted for the time being. Mind if I keep you company?"
"Of course. Always welcome." Jon slung an arm around her neck and ruffled the top of her head. "Knucklehead."
Michelle squeaked and slapped Jon's chest.
"I'll knock you on your ass right now, Moxley." Michelle threatened weakly, her giggles seeping through her tough facade.
"I'd like to see you try, Grimes." Jon hoisted Michelle up over his shoulder, wrapping a strong arm around her hips and started walking down the hall.
"Bastard! Put me down now."
"Bastard? Is that any way to talk to an old friend?" Jon teased.
"Jon! The hell are you doin'?" A new voice called from around the corner. Michelle couldn't see who it was from her position, but Jon's chest vibrated with a laugh.
"Kingston! I'd like you to meet someone. Eddie," Jon whipped around so Michelle could come face to face with the most intense green eyes she'd ever seen in her whole life. "this is Michelle Jacobs. Micky, Eddie."
Tumblr media
Michelle sighed as she attempted to free herself from Jon's grip again before he whipped around again and dropped her back on her feet. She gave Jon a shove, trying to stay mad but a smirk crept on both of their faces. She turned and extended her hand to Eddie, whose face lit up when he got a good look at her.
"Nice to meet you." Michelle smiled.
"Pleasure is mine." Eddie grinned back with a wink, shaking her hand firmly. "You're Darcy's sister right? Punk's niece?"
"Don't forget current NXT Women's Champion." Jon rested his large hands on her shoulders and squeezed them.
"Woah, your majesty." Eddie laughed. "You're a little bit of wrestling royalty, huh?"
"I mean..." Michelle paused, not sure how to respond. Yeah, her sister was a huge star in WWE before she got injured and she married one of the most beloved wrestlers of the last decade, but does that make her royalty? She hasn't proven herself nearly as much as she's wanted to. She's accomplished a lot for only being 25, but she had a long road to go. "Well-"
"She's always been a bit of a princess, huh sweetheart." Jon teased.
The comment made her clench her jaw and warmed her stomach a little more than she liked to admit. Relieved to not have to answer Eddie's question, she leaned back into Jon and groaned.
"Not true, you just like to treat me like one and I let you do it." Michelle bit her lip and watched Jon roll his eyes. "Would you both mind showing me where catering is? I'm starving."
"This way, my lady." Eddie bowed comically and extended his arm in the direction of catering.
The walk was quiet, but Michelle kept catching Jon's silent looks. She raised an eyebrow at him, which he only smiled at and threw an arm back over her shoulder. He pressed his lips to her ear and just barely whispered something that made Michelle's heart flutter.
"I missed you." Jon pulled away, looked forward, and gave her a squeeze.
"Damn you, Moxley," Michelle thought, hating the torch she held for him years ago started to flicker back to life.
The pair escorted her to catering, which was buzzing with energy. She was surrounded by wrestlers she'd been keeping up with on television for years now. The feeling was surreal, especially when a few recognized her back.
"Woah, Lilith!" Matt Jackson came out of the woodwork and shook her hand. "Big fan, I've seen some of your work over at NXT, you got some big chops."
"Thank you, wow," Michelle suddenly felt a cold sweat of nerves wash over her. "I had no idea, I didn't think you guys would keep up with NXT."
"Well, Darcy's been traveling with us recently and she cannot shut up about how proud of you she is, she's always showing us videos of your matches." Nick appeared behind his brother and extended his hand for a shake, which Michelle graciously took. "You're quite the spectacle. You've been in NXT for a while now haven't you?"
Tumblr media
"Yeah, about 3 years now, I think?" Michelle coughed, her throat being a little dry all of a sudden. "But I've gotten two title reigns during that time."
"Jeez, you think you've paid your dues already, haha." Matt laughed, his eyes sparkling. As pretty as they were to look at, Michelle felt that statement weigh a little heavy in her heart.
"Yeah, tell me about it." She forced a laugh. She swallowed hard and excused herself to grab some food and drink, but while she was in line, she thought of something else to do.
As quietly as she could, she slipped out of catering without drawing much attention to herself.
She glided down the halls until she slid against the brick walls and took a deep breath. She wasn't sure how long she sat like that. She took some time to compose herself and her thoughts, trying to beat back the doubt clouding her judgment. Before long, the live show was about to start.
"Mitch there you are!" Darcy called from down the hall, making Michelle snap out of her thoughts. "The show is about to start! C'mon, Punk is gonna make his way out any second."
Michelle scrambled to her feet and booked it back to the gorilla to watch the crowd pop just as Phil made his way out. She felt like crying as the crowd received him so well.
The rest of the night was a blur, by the time the main event rolled around, everyone was gathered around the TV and Michelle was front and center. It was Moxley v. Garcia, and Michelle was fantasizing about being down at ringside with Eddie, cheering Jon on. Every time Jon got a leg up, Michelle was clapping and cheering. Every time Garcia got Jon into a submission, she was biting her balled up fist. When Moxley got the win via submission however, she was grinning and hugging Darcy.
"Yes!" Michelle laughed and grabbed Jon as soon as she got the chance and gave him a hug where he lifted her up and spun her around once. "That was awesome to see, amazing!"
"You're too kind, doll, I didn't do much out there though. Just supporting a friend." Eddie boasted from around the corner with a shit-eating grin spread across his face.
Michelle laughed and rolled her eyes. "You too, Kingston."
"Thanks, dollface." Eddie winked and walked off to the locker room.
"Say, the roaster is heading for drinks, you should come." Jon smiled and patted her arm, letting it linger for a moment before it fell at his side.
Michelle hesitated for a second before looking at her watch. It was only 8:00. But still.
"Aw jeez Mox, I don't know-" Michelle frowned.
"What, you got somewhere to be?" Jon teased. "C'mon, we haven't hung out in years, you have to catch me up on all your NXT stories. Just your stories in general, I want to hear about your life."
Michelle's heart started to break a little at his words.
"I got an red eye flight early-"
"How early?"
"3:00 am." Michelle sighed.
"Where the hell are you possibly going at 3:00 am?" Jon asked, chuckling.
"Vegas." Michelle crossed her arms, her tone resigned.
"Vegas? Why Veg-" Jon's face was a kaleidoscope of emotions, quickly shifting from confusion, realization, anger, sadness and then finally, stoic. "Vegas." he concluded.
"Vegas." Michelle confirmed softly with a sad smile.
"You finally got called up." I think Jon meant to phrase it as a question, but it came out as almost a statement of disappointment.
"Yeah." Michelle scuffed her boot on the cold concrete nodded. "I got a debut at a major pay-per-view, a title shot and a feud Charlotte Flair after she win's the triple threat match. It was such a big opportunity, I couldn't possibly pass it up."
"Yeah...yeah, of course, makes sense." Jon's words said one thing, but his face read the complete opposite. "Congratulations. You deserve this."
"Thank you..." Michelle whispered, feeling embarrassed to even make eye contact with him. "Listen, I shouldn't have said anything, no one can know. Promise you won-"
"I won't." Jon reassured and swallowed.
A pregnant pause passed, which was broken by Michelle immediately recognized as "Hangman" Adam Page.
"Mox! C'mon man, we're celebrating, you coming or what?" The blonde man glanced between the two, his confident nature shrinking back into its shell as he quickly realized he interrupted a serious moment. "I'm sorry for interrupting, I didn't-"
"I'll be there in a minute, Hangman." Jon nodded and pleaded with his eyes to leave us.
"Yeah..." Adam quickly looked between the two of us, his gaze lingering a little too long in my direction, before he wandered back to the sounds of alcohol pouring and glasses clinking.
"Just stay for one drink? I'll drive you home." Jon offered with a sad smile.
"Jon, it's alright, Phil will drive my sister rand I home. You should have some fun too, I don't want to inhibit your-"
"Micky," Jon laughed and gently pushed her shoulder. "If you're gonna be a big ol' WWE superstar, I don't know when I'll get to see you again. Just one drink, yeah?"
"Alright Mox, just one."
And so the night went on. Laughs were shared, stories were swapped, and goodbyes were eventually exchanged. Michelle and Phil had to wrangle her sister back to the car who party a little too hard. She hiccuped and giggled in Phil's arms the entire way and stumbled into the backseat.
Michelle was side by side with Jon, behind Phil and Darcy. She hugged her middle and Jon had his hands stuffed into his leather jacket pockets.
"You got my number?" Michelle checked again for the third time in the last hour and a half, making Jon laugh.
"Yes, do you wanna check my phone and make sure?" Jon started to fish for his phone, but Michelle laughed and stopped him.
"No, no it's okay." Michelle stopped a couple yards from the car and gave Jon a hug around his middle, while he completely buried her into his chest and rested his chin on top of her head. "Please keep in touch."
"I will." Jon pulled away to look at her face one more time. His mouth opened and closed a few times, searching for the right thing to say or how to phrase it. Michelle saw frustration flash across his face.
"What's the matter?" Michelle pulled away a little, but she felt Jon's arms flex around her and held her in place.
"Just..." Jon weighed his options in his head one more time before he settled on his thoughts he wanted to verbalize. "Give 'em hell over there. Don't settle. And if shit hits the fan, give me a call, alright?"
"Alright, Mox." Michelle laughed, rolled her eyes and gave him one more quick squeeze. She pulled away from Jon, but was startled when he grabbed her hand, pulling her focus back to his striking grey eyes.
"I mean it Micky. I've got you." Jon's voice was so genuine and soft, it threw Michelle for a loop in the moment.
"And I've got you." Michelle smiled, and pointed at his jean pocket. "Use that phone number, I want to know all the details of your AEW adventures."
"Same to you." Jon gave her an expectant look.
"See you later, Jonny."
"See you." Jon waved goodbye as Michelle got into the car and Phil drove them off towards the hotel.
By the time Michelle got back to her room, she threw herself onto her bed and pulled her knees to her chest. She tried to not think about the pit in her chest by trying to think of what she needed to do before tomorrow. Everything was packed for the most part, she really only needed to shower.
Her phone pinged. Loe and behold, Jon Moxley.
"Mox: Hey Mickey, it's Jonny. Sleep tight, don't forget to set an alarm for your flight tomorrow, and make sure your phone is charging. Made that mistake a few too many times. Safe travels 🖤"
"Alarms." Michelle scoffed at her mistake, quickly turning on no less than half a dozen alarms to make sure she got up on time.
"Thanks Jon, you're a lifesaver. Try to get some rest too. Gonna hit the hay, I'll talk to you again soon ❤️"
After she hit send, she put her phone down and plugged it in.
Little did Michelle know, both her and Jon had a similar phenomenon happen that night.
Both tossed and turned for most of the night, thinking to themselves "How is it possible that so much, yet so little, had changed between them in these few short years?"
"I should have fucking kissed him, huh?" Michelle asked her dark, empty hotel room. When no response came, she just sighed and turned over.
"Damn it."

Ch. 1 Ch. 2 Ch. 3 Ch. 4 Ch. 4.5
"Whiskey neat, please." Michelle leaned her forearms on the bar with a grin. The bartender nodded and quickly served up her drink.
"There's the birthday girl!" A voice cheered from behind Michelle, making her whip around with her fresh drink in hand.
"Rhea!" Michelle threw her arms around her fellow NXT alumnus. "I'm so glad you made it."
"I wouldn't miss this for the world, slugger. How's your night going so far?" Rhea slid onto the stool next to Michelle's.
Michelle shrugged and heaved a content sigh, taking a moment to take a quick survey of the bar.
Her older sister, Darcy, had put this whole thing together with Michelle's two best friends Daniella Rossi and Annabelle Martin for her birthday. The bar was filled with WWE and AEW wrestlers alike, which was a rarity. There must have been 40-50 people here!
"I'm fantastic honestly, I can't remember the last time I celebrated my birthday like this. Usually it's just me and the girls, but this is amazing. I have no idea how Darcy pulled this together." Michelle sipped her drink with a hint of a smirk gracing her burgundy lips.
There was a beat of silence between the two friends as Rhea examined the room herself, then leaned a little closer and spoke to Michelle in a low voice, making the birthday girl lean in.
"Did you and Baron work it out?"
"No, why?" Michelle's tone was sour and her eyebrows furrowed in annoyance.
"He's throwing some dirty looks this way. 2 o'clock." Rhea threw her head over her shoulder. Michelle followed her direction and made direct eye contact with Baron Corbin's intense glare, which he quickly tried to play off as a casual glance in her direction.
"He needs to get over himself. He doesn't own me, he's gotta stop acting like it. If he's just going to glare at me all night, he should just go back to the goddamn hotel and leave me alone." Michelle's jaw clenched as she threw back the last of her drink and turned to the bartender. "Can I get another? Thanks."
"You gonna go hard tonight?" Rhea raised an eyebrow in Michelle's direction.
"It's my birthday, hell yeah I am!" Michelle laughed as she grabbed her new glass.
"Just try to make good decisions tonight, alright?" Rhea advised carefully.
"No promises." Michelle winked and hopped off her stool. "I'm gonna mingle. You coming?"
"I'm gonna grab a drink, I'll catch you in a minute." Rhea waved her off and Michelle nodded and wandered off to the other side of the bar where Toni Storm and Ruby Soho were chatting with the Young Bucks.
"Ladies! Gents! What's happening?" Michelle greeted with a grin.
"What's up, Red!" Toni cheered. "Happy birthday."
"Thanks Toni."
"Micky, Micky, Micky...wow." Nick Jackson pulls Michelle into a quick hug and kisses her on the cheek. "Happy birthday, you look phenomenal."
"Where's my sugar, huh?" Matt stole Michelle away from his brother, making Michelle roll her eyes. "I thought you liked me more." Matt leaned into Michelle's ear with his teasing, kissing her on the cheek as well.
"You boys are too much." Michelle shook her head, biting back a smile.
"Hey Micky, Adam wants to talk to you when you get the chance." Ruby greeted with a quick hug.
"Which one?" Michelle giggled.
"Page, sorry, should have clarified." Ruby smiled.
"Fuck." Michelle's face flushed as she tried to play down her frantic glances around the bar. Before she could lay her eyes on the cowboy, the front door to the bar swung open with a bang.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICKY!"
"Jesus- Eddie! Jon! Hey!" Michelle laughed as Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley made their way into the party and dropped off their presents on the table near the door with the rest of the gifts.
"Ey woah hey hey!" Eddie chortled and followed it with a wolf whistle. Eddie held out his pointer finger and twirled it in the air. "Spin for me, honey."
Michelle put down her drink with Toni and Ruby before she met Eddie and Jon halfway. She tried to fight the blush that she felt creeping up her neck as she twirled for Eddie. She was in a black velvet mini dress that hugged her curves with a low v-neck and lace detailing. Her wine-red hair was pinned up in an elegant updo with some stray hairs falling in her face.
"Gorgeous, absolutely stunning really." Eddie held his hand out for her to take and spun her around again himself. "You're a fox!"
"Thank you Eddie." Michelle grinned from ear to ear.
"Ain't she cute when she's blushin', Mox?" Eddie nudged his friend. Jon just smiled and gave her a once over.
"Happy birthday, Micky. You look real nice." Jon reached out and gave her a hug that lingered a little too long.
"She looks better than nice, c'mon Mox." Eddie teased.
"Thank you both for coming! Please enjoy yourselves." Michelle urged the two into the party and attempted to end what could've been an argument. Both boys make their way to the bar and say hi to some of the other's at the bar.
Michelle sighed and put her hands on her hips, taking a moment to compose herself. However, that moment was just that. A moment. A hand on her shoulder made Michelle jump and turn her head to see none other than the Viper himself.
"Randy." Michelle let out his name in a breath.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." Randy chuckled.
"No, it's alright! Guess I'm a little tense." The redhead tried a giggle but it sounded a little forced. Slightly embarrassed, she bit her lip and her gaze fell to her shoes.
"The birthday girl can't be tense at her own party, I won't let it happen. What can I do?" Randy's left index finger hooked under Michelle's chin and tilter her gaze back up to his while his right hand brushed a loose strand of hair back.
It was such a simple touch but Michelle felt like she got lit on fire.
"I-"
Before Michelle could get another word out, a thick Scottish accent broke her train of thought.
"Micky!"
"Oh God-"
"Micky come dance with me, I love this song!" Drew McIntyre grabbed Michelle's hand and dragged her to the dance floor.
Michelle looked back at Randy with an apologetic gaze.
"We'll talk later." She mouthed, which he nodded in response, shooting some kind of look to the back of Drew's head.
Drew, however, seemed to pay no mind to the conversation he interrupted as he pulled Michelle close in the sea of people and spoke in her ear over the loud music.
"I had ta steal ya away and made sure I got my time with ya tonight." Drew smirked against her ear.
"I can't even seem to have a full conversation before someone pulls me away." Michelle jabbed pointedly.
"Sorry 'bout that." Drew shrugged sheepishly as Michelle turned around and started pressing her back against the Scotsman's chest. Drew gladly responded by slinging one arm around her waist, holding her in place and swayed to the beat with her.
"Should I be sorry?" Drew's teasing tone was evident in his voice. His hot breath on Michelle's neck made her shiver. She shook her head.
"Good." Drew whispered hotly in her ear as he pulled her a little tighter to him.
Michelle was about to start pushing herself up against his hips when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She groaned as her eyes snapped open. What now?
She turned to yell at whoever was it was, but she bit her tongue when she saw just exactly who it was.
"Kenny."
"Can I steal the birthday girl." It was a statement more than a question. Kenny smiled politely at you both, but there was something going on behind his eyes Michelle couldn't quite make out into the lighting.
Drew's lips were in a thin line, annoyance obvious on his face. He hesitated before he let her go.
Kenny threw an arm around her shoulder protectively as he escorted her off the dance floor.
"Kenny-"
"Micky listen, can we please talk about last night?" Kenny's voice was just below a whisper.
"I'd really rather not, not right now at least. Please Kenny can we talk about this another time?" Michelle pinched the bridge of her nose as she made a beeline for the bar to grab her drink she left with Ruby and Toni. Kenny was right on her heels.
"Micky wait please just give me two minutes-" Kenny bit his tongue when Michelle threw up her index finger and downed the last of her drink that she left behind.
"Kenny-" Michelle bit back at Kenny.
"Micky..." Kenny took her hand and pulled her away from the bar and out of earshot. "Why do you keep running away from me? You trust me still don't you? I'm still the same Kenny..."
Michelle fell into his chest, which he embraced her easily. "Can we please talk about this tomorrow night? Please?"
Kenny sighed and squeezed her shoulders.
"Okay, fine." Kenny laughed a little and let his hand fall to the small of her back as he guided her to the bar. "Let me buy you a drink, yeah?"
"Thank you, Kenny." Michelle sighed and leaned into him, making him smile.
"Michelle!" Someone called from behind the pair.
Michelle whipped around to see Adam Page walking briskly across the bar.
"Shit- I gotta head to the restroom alright Ken? I'll be right back." Michelle pushed herself out of Kenny's arms, ignoring his protests and confusion as she bolted for the ladies room.
Once she was safely inside she sighed out a heavy "fuck".
"What the hell am I doing?" Michelle thought out loud. It was like a free-for-all out there, she had no place to hide.
A stall door swung open, making Michelle jump out of her skin.
"Annie? Fuck you scared the shit out of me."
"Oh I'm sorry, what's going on? You sound stressed." Annie chuckled as she approached the sinks.
Michelle laughed and leaned against one of the sinks while Annie washed her hands and fixed her hair in the mirror.
"I think I slept with one too many people, Annie." Michelle concluded.
This only made Annie laugh and turn to her friend with an unimpressed look.
"Just one?"

would anyone be interested in a WWE fic I've been sitting on...? 💖
It's gonna have lots of love triangles/squares and drama and juicy juicy storylines in and outside of the ring and I need this to get to the right audience lmao. We're going to mainly follow one OFC, but I got the current rosters along with three other OCs in the mix that'll cause some trouble. I'm still a little new to the wrestling world but I have absolutely fallen in love with it over the last few months and oh do I have some IDEAS swirling in my head. Who's down?
