It's been a week since I saw Wakanda Forever, and ever since, it's consumed my thinking. There are a million things I'd love to discuss about the film, but what keeps me up at night is Shuri and Namor.
Shuri had every right to gut his ass. Namor brought flooding and destruction to her home, killed her mother, all while knowing she was suffering from the death of her brother. Hell, Namor nearly killed her (by impaling her, which how did she survive that idk, anyway). And what was the worst thing that Shuri had done to him? Say no to his alliance to go to war with the surface world? Shuri wasn't the one who killed Namor's two subjects. She actually tried to save them. Yet just like T'Challa, she's forced to deal with the consequences of other people's actions, and when she stands over Namor with a blade to his neck, her internal struggle with this flashes across screen. It's a powerful sequence, but the one that captures me the most is when we hear her mother telling her to show Namor who she is. Not only is it one of many callbacks to the first film, but really, who is she? Who is Shuri? She is struggling with her identity, as grief often does to a person.
When audiences first met Shuri, she was the genius younger sister, the comic relief, who took solace in her lab. But now all this has been taken from her, and taken so suddenly. She's now front and center, now her country's most powerful figure, no longer the jokester, no longer a sister, no longer a daughter, and feels like a failure. The moments where she stands over Namor is us watching her return to herself but also become someone entirely new. She sees the destruction reverse. Sees Namor's hope. Sees their mothers and their nations. She understands that they are similar just as much as they are different. She finally realizes that ending Namor's life cannot reverse the destruction nor her pain, but sparing him is the answer to ending the cycle of it. She recognizes that even though her mother and brother are gone, she is still sister, still daughter. Death in Wakanda is a beginning.
Above all, Shuri understands she cannot think of only herself anymore. She cannot push her people to war because of her own grief and vengefulness. She becomes a leader, in granting mercy. A protector.  And extends this protection by offering it to Namor and his people. This brought a bitter taste in my mouth at first, but it isn't about who's right or wrong, especially when both sides have a little right or a little wrong to them. It's about navigating the actions of their forebearers in the best way they can.
Her multifaceted character is symbolized by her panther suit--it's reminiscent of T'Challa, Kilmonger, and her past self. Now that she's burned her mourning clothes, hopefully in the next movie, we'll see her accept this role with newfound confidence and surity of its purpose. I'm also hoping that Shuri kept Namor's little baby ankle wing that she sliced off and puts it up somewhere to serve as a reminder that she bested him. Can you imagine? I can't wait to see more of her.
Then there's Namor. And dare I say it, he was justified in his feelings of wanting to kill Queen Ramonda. She was cunning and tricked him and had two of his people killed in the process. Remember the scene where he's cradling his subject's face as she dies? And she asks if he can save her and he does not answer because he knows he cannot? And then--was it Namora?--who says, with such blame dripping in her voice, that he was busy meeting with the queen during Nakia's attack. Namor is so angry, and very possibly, so ashamed (and scared?). His ultimate goal is to protect his people, and he failed. He's a god and Ramonda made him look like a fool. To him, she had to go.
Ryan Coogler said that despite Namor being about 500 years old, he wanted him to still feel somewhat childlike. And is he! He's rash. He focuses only on the immediate response without thinking of the ramifications. He seems almost charmingly innocent in his hopefulness that Shuri would want to join him. There's no doubt they wanted us to feel a romantic connection betweeen them, or perhaps just from Namor's end. I don't know who gives clearance on the music, but whoever does, they are always very intentional and unique about it, and a love song plays during That One Mesmerizing Scene. The theories that Namor is infatuated with Shuri just weaken me. She's the first person to ever see Talocan. The bracelet. The mural. Him acknowdging her power. Him waiting for her to beckon him. I. have. folded. No one look at me.
I really hope the MCU explores their relationship. And though I'm sure it would never be a romantic one, that does not make it any less intriguing. Ryan is phenomenal with his villains. Just like Kilmonger challenged T'Challa not just with war, but challenged his core beliefs, Namor did the same with Shuri. The only difference now is that Namor is still alive, and this sets us up for a delicious exploration of a complex relationship between two leaders who have similar wants but conflicting perspectives.
Man. I love them. MCU, please let us see more of them. And if we do, please. Be careful with them.

Wakanda, 2017
The first time you saw Bucky Barnes, you wanted to destroy him.
You, and everyone you knew, thought that he’d assassinated your king, T’Chaka.
The pictures of the masked metal-armed man which was circulated among the Dora were mesmerizing to you. The blue eyes above the black mask seemed to stare into your soul. They were menacing, determined, yet with a hint of something else that had you transfixed.
You kept your eyes on the images long past the ending of the briefing and you were still seated with the holo-pad when everyone else stood to go.
When Okoye called for you, the other Doras quirked their mouths, the loudest their merriment would go in the mixed company of civilians, royalty, and military.
Zola confronted you about it months later, when Barnes was granted asylum in Wakanda.
“I want to talk to you about your feelings for the Winter Soldier.”
You stared at your former Captain, incredulous.
Bast, this woman did not forget a thing.
“I know not of which you speak, Mistress. I was studying his photos to see if I could spot a weakness, so as to kill him easily. Now that he has the king’s protection, I will follow orders.”
You kept your posture rigid and eyes straight ahead as she regarded you. Your training was over, but she knew you better than your mother in the river valley; you’d certainly been with her longer.
“That is the correct answer, child.”
You did not dare mention that you had not been a child for years. You kept your disrespect in your head. Not that it mattered.
“I know what you are thinking. That you are a full grown woman, a warrior. But if you do not want to put all of that in jeopardy, you will be careful. Do not let him into your head.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
You should have listened better, for after he arrived, the Winter Soldier was not only in your head; he was in your heart. The chaos a smile from James Barnes could create inside you would cause your father to send you to the Jabari if you were still his ward.
You chilled Bucky to the bone from the first moment he laid eyes on you; you were so regal and so strong. You were different than any other human he’d ever met.
The second he introduced himself and your beautiful lips tilted into a frown and said, “What by Bast, is a Bucky?” you were firmly entrenched in his soul.
Neither of you felt you could be honest, you because of duty and he because he felt like an incomplete shadow of a man. Bucky had a lot of work to do. And he set about the work of healing, mentally and physically with a singular focus. Becoming worthy of you was one of his primary goals and you didn’t realize it.
The day Wakanda celebrated James Barnes and gave him a new name was the beginning of the end.
For the better part of the previous year, James Barnes had been just a man. A man that you squared off with when he first arrived, a man that you watched with pity as he broke down, then listened to with sympathy, talked to with candor, trained with intensity, and eventually broke bread with trust.
Now that man was your abokin kirki, your good friend. And also the White Wolf, practically a member of the royal family.
And, like the stealthiest of adversaries, the romantic feelings caught up to you quickly and without warning. You were astonished at how you felt when you saw the way that he looked at Nareema during the Royal celebration for him. You were devastated that he could look at another in that way and more than that, disappointed in yourself.
The fact that you’d fallen for your friend was something that you vowed never to admit or act upon. Sacrifice was your duty. Your feelings didn’t matter even if they were requited. Barnes was healing, and thus did not have time to focus on frivolous emotion.
Your job, as commanded by T'Challa, was to assist him through this period, and bid him goodbye when the time came.
What you purposefully ignored was how he had acted toward you. James sought you out, how he waited for you to come back from missions and training exercises, always with your favorite dishes prepared. Cooking was a hobby that he had undertaken to help calm his mind. And he was quite good at it.
You also disregarded the way Bucky looked at you, the way his eyes changed when you were in full combat gear, and the way his bow deepened as you walked by.
Or rather, you only thought about it when you were alone in your bed at night.
You should never have taken him to your favorite spot along the river the day after the celebration and allowed him to skinny dip with you. You told yourself it was just a private celebration between comrades; it was common among friends of the River Tribe, males and females naked before one another with no illicit thought. But this was different.
The way that you and James stared at each other from opposite banks as you lay in the sun after frolicking like children was dangerous. Your eyes avoided his, but you drank the rest of him in, from the new arm, to the scars on his chest, to the water drops dripping down his skin onto the river bank. His large cock was at rest, but it was long and thick, and you could imagine what it would be like if it were awakened.
You stared innocently at his manhood while something inside you alighted.
James’ eyes were upon you, from your captivating eyes, to those alluring lips, to the water running in rivulets between your beautiful breasts. He’d always admired your body, remembering every curve and toned muscle late at night and early in the morning when he was alone. The lust inside of him wanted you, but so did the love.
His eyes sought out yours, and when you finally returned his gaze, he guessed that perhaps you shared his feelings. Sensing his awareness, you again looked at his body, studying him as if he were predator, or prey.
Your boldness was alluring, and the fact that you were sitting, legs akimbo, so that he could clearly see the folds made Bucky feel the need to go into the river again to hide his arousal.
You joined him without thinking, your heart trying to break free from your ribs. You were afraid. For the first time, you felt truly afraid as your instinct drew you closer to him.
James’ hair was in his eyes, similar to the first time you saw him in those pictures all those months ago. And yet it was different this time. This time you knew that he would be your undoing.
You reached up to smooth his hair back, and he grabbed your wrist, pulling you close to him, your nipples conducting electricity with his wet skin and his cock pounding on your belly.
“Bari in tafi James. Let me go.”
“Da gaske kike so na? Do you really want me to?”
James pulled your hand to his mouth, his lips grazing your palm and up your arm. Your other hand flew up to strike him and he caught it with his vibranium one and twisted it behind you.
You were shocked, but not at him; you were surprised at your reaction. You could have easily gotten out of his hold, you were a skilled fighter.
But you didn’t want to.
“Do you mean to take me like some common karuwa?”
James spoke as his satin lips tasted your skin.
“Stop fighting the inevitable. You know that I hold you in the highest regard. You are not a whore, you are masoyi.”
James’ mouth had reached your shoulder and as he spoke you turned your head toward him as you whispered, terrified.
“You do not mean th-”
Bucky cut you off with his mouth upon yours. You whimpered in his grip and yielded when his tongue insisted entry to meet yours.
You stood in the river, James Barnes’ fingers massaging your scalp, drowning in his kiss. You moved closer to him, throwing your arms up to caress the muscles in his back, your fingers following the traces of water down his torso.
When the kiss was over, your head was spinning.
“What is it you want, soyayya ta? If I have offended you, I will leave Wakanda and never return. I-”
This time you cut him off with a kiss of your own, jumping up and wrapping your legs around his waist, grinding against his cock which was trapped between your core and his belly. James’ hands cupped your ass and as he did so, he groaned. He’d wanted to touch you this way as soon as he saw you, but he’d never dared. He respected you too much.
This time when you separated, you gave him direction.
“The rocks over there on the river bank.”
You pointed behind him to where he lay moments before.
“There. Take me James, over there.”
James turned around in the water, careful not to let the weakness he felt for you, nor the river current cause him to lose his footing. When he made it to the riverbank he deposited you gently on the sun-warmed rocks.
You leaned up on your elbows as James remained half in the water looking up into your eyes.
“Do you really want me James?”
He nodded.
“I do. More than just about anything.”
He picked up your hand and kissed your palm again.
“I have dreamed of this for so long. Tell me that you want me to, masoyi.”
You nodded.
“I want you, James. Ina son ku.”
Bucky beamed.
“Ina son ku kuma.”
And just like that, you were promised to each other, on the banks of your river beneath the Wakandan sun.
You kissed again, the act feeling like a sacrament, heating both of you beyond inhibition. His mouth, his hands, even his eyes on you were alerting all of your senses, because he was everywhere, and all at once. Your hands moved to keep up with him, your ardor overtaking you while you experienced his. Everywhere he touched, bit, suckled and stroked built the fires within you.
Bucky’s hand found your clit and teased it briefly before plunging a thick finger tip inside you. You bit your lip as you wantonly moved your hips.
“I’ve been waiting to do this for a long time, James. Need you.”
“You’ve no idea how much I want to be with you, too, kulkoka, but I don’t want to hurt you…”
James’ flesh hand was moving, stroking your walls as if he owned you, but your face heated at the knowledge of what he meant.
One night around the fire, he let you get drunk on some Border Tribe wine and you’d told him that you’d never been with a man. Not that you were a virgin, whatever that meant, but that sex with a man was something you hadn’t done.
Now you boldly stared at him in his mountain-ice blue eyes.
“I am a warrior James. I can handle it.”
James smirked and tilted his head as his fingers sank into your silken folds, readying you for his intrusion.
“Is that so?”
“Y-yes. I want you inside me…”
Your head lolled back on your shoulders, your shut eyelids glowing red with the sun.
“Mmmmmm, I want that too, Doll.. but I need to see you cum. Right now.”
James climbed down your body, pulling your thighs to the end of the rocks as he went. Your ass ended up in his hands and you leaned up on your elbows to watch him work. You spread your legs for him as his head dipped to your cunt.
James obtained eye contact as he delicately licked your slit from top to bottom and then stopped, watching as your eye opened, blazing as you silently demanded more by pushing his head down harder.
“Eat your meal, Sargent.”
“Yes, Lieutenant.”
You never let him forget that you outranked him, but he saucily winked as he went down and let his smile curl into your wetness.
As Bucky held you in two hands like a bowl and ate you like a man starved, you pulled his hair, which only spurred him on more. He would lick and then look at your pussy, pause, look you in the eyes, and then suck your clit until you were seeing stars. He continued until he could feel you clenching on his tongue. He suckled you and you trembled at how his lips looked wrapped around you. You squirmed until he had to hold you down so you couldn’t run from your orgasm.
“Give it to me. Now.”
Although you outranked him, your body obeyed his command.
You gasped as your mouth opened into a silent “O”, but you eventually didn’t care as you let out a wail with your climax.
Bucku suckled you through it, drawing out more pleasure and grinning when your pulses subsided.
When you were cognizant again, you reached for his member.
James Barnes was a model of a man, long and girthy, you could barely close your fist around him. His large glistening head projected out of the foreskin of his warm, thick and tan shaft. He felt so good in your grip, the veins that weaved around him making you crave that texture inside you. You had the curious urge to take his large balls into your mouth as your hand caressed him.
The effect of your action upon him was lost on you until you heard a groan, and you tore your eyes away from his glorious manhood to look up.
He was beautiful, looking at you with hooded eyes, hands on your thighs as he let you explore him, but obviously holding back. You could see his muscles tense as if ready to spring. With that knowledge, you leaned back as he gathered your thighs into his large hands. You knew that your arousal was leaking onto the rocks and that was confirmed at the way James looked between your legs and licked his lips.
“Take me James, I’m yours.”
“Be certain of what you’re saying, Doll.”
James lifted your leg to his shoulder and kissed from your ankle to your knee, causing you to shiver, then repeated the action with your other one. He then placed his hands on your waist as he moved close, the tip of his cock slotting into our wet, pulsing hole.
You whined as James stayed still, questioning you with his eyes.
“Please. James, I need you.”
Bucky swallowed and nodded, looking almost afraid.
“I got you, masoyi.”
Slowly, James moved forward, pushing inside you until you began to whimper. He stopped, not wanting to hurt you.
You never expected this sensation, the burning, the stretch, but you knew you were not ready for it to end.
You nodded up at him.
“More.”
You remembered your regulation exercises and used them to relax. James’s cock felt so damn good, but it was a lot to take. He was ruining you from any other feeling and could tell when he looked into your lust blown eyes. His gaze roamed your entire body to take in this moment forever and to keep himself calm. He wanted to take you roughly and immediately, but he loved you too much to ever hurt you.
You moaned as the pleasure from him filling you began to overtake the pain. When he was finally seated as full as he could, passion overtook you and you began to move.
James grabbed you harder to still your hips, trying to hold back.
“I want you to fuck me James!”
With that Bucky growled and climbed up on the rock, knees giving leverage to his hips, which snapped into yours once and stopped when you yelped.
“Easy Doll, don’t want to… damn…you feel so fucking good… so right… hmmm.”
James’ mouth explored your neck and torso, finally worshiping your nipples. You wrapped your legs around his hips, hands in his hair and whispering into his ear.
“Bast! I will not break, White Wolf. Claim me. Make me yours!”
Bucky leaned up and wrapped his hand around your throat as he began to honor your request. He was now pounding into you so hard that your body, and you swore the rock beneath you, rippled.
You moaned loudly as pain turned into pleasure and your body started to tremble. Bucky’s display of power over you had your eyes rolling back into your head.
“Thaats it. So fucking beautiful. I’m.. not gonna… fuck I’m gonna…I need you to…”
Bucky’s other hand found your clit and you let out a string of river tribe curses as you exploded around his cock.
“Holy…”
Bucky pumped about three more times and he exploded as well, pulling out in time to leave a string of pearls from your clit to your collarbone as he released all over you. You trembled as his hot spend seemed to sizzle on your sun warmed body. You watched him attempt to empty everything for you and then reached for him, instinctively sitting up to suck the rest out of him. Bucky looked down on you and shuddered, palming your head as you cleaned him off.
He reached down to play in the cum that decorated your body as you lay back on the warm rock. Then, he picked you up and took you back into the river, tenderly cleaning you off while covering you with kisses.
“I am going to meet with T’Challa. I need you to be my wife and have my babies as soon as possible.”
____
You woke up with a start and tears in your eyes, the noise outside coming through the fog in your head as Amsterdam’s red light district.
You felt a deep loss. For your King, your people, your home.. your husband.
Your child.
You slowly sat up from your sleeping bag, and shuffled to the bathroom to clean your face.
As you looked into the mirror, you vowed that you would be back with your husband…as soon as you killed the power broker.

Crashing Waves // Chapter 1 // Namor
Tumblr media
Pairing: Namor X POC Reader
Warning: SPOILERS If you haven't seen Black Panther 2 / Violence
A/N: Time to roll out the Namor fics! Because that man had me in a chokehold!
Chapter 2
Tumblr media
You were fuming. Stuck on this stupid military site in the middle of the fucking ocean with two people pole who have no idea what they're getting themselves into. Taking a student's science fair project is one thing, but actually stumbling across vibranium in the middle of the ocean. Yeah that's not good. You have to keep it out of the wrong hands. You promised Shuri. Even if you had to use your powers to do so.
T'Challa calls it being gifted. You call it being cursed. Being able to manipulate things telepathically. Force fields, mind control and shit. Nothing too extreme like Wanda Maximoff. More of a simplified version. Only difference is you can see through other people's eyes.
Shuri always wanted to see you do it in person. Wakanda has done so much for you. Saved your life when Killmonger took over, treated your stab wound from battle, and offered their home to you. I made new friends and found a family. You owe them your life. Queen Ramonda, Shuri, T'Challa. The least you could do was help protect what was theirs
"We should leave it alone! You and everyone else heard what the queen of Wakanda said. We can't just go around stealing their resources!" You shouted as the general stood with his arms crossed.
"Vibranium could be what this nation needs to prevent war. And it's right here at the bottom of the ocean." The other agent spoke and you snapped your head in her direction.
"Taking the vibranium will start a war! Are you guys that dense?" You shouted and then she stood holding her hands out to calm you down.
"Professor. Y/N. Please we are too close to pull back now. The vibranium is right there." She tried to reason with you but you knew the consequences behind this. Especially after hearing the queen's threat. You knew better than to take it lightly.
"And what if the Wakandans show up. If they decide to take more of a lethal approach? That is a war you won't win." You told her as the general walked closer to the two of you.
"Professor, we brought you out here to help us find and secure the vibranium given your abilities. What we didnt bring you here for was to give us a pep talk. Now if you won't help us, you can go back to that classroom at that university."
It's true they came to you because of your experience with Wakanda and the folklore you grew up on. With you knowing the history of Wakanda and vibranium, you were a perfect pick. You didn't however expect them to actually find it.
"My pep talk just might save your ass, general. I'm not talking for my health. You wanted me here because I've been there, I know them. Now I'm trying to help you BECAUSE I've been there. This will not end well for you." You sneered in defiance and he scoffed.
"Fine. We won't need you up here. Take her to her room, and keep her there." You raised an eyebrow as a soldier grabbed your arm, dragging you out the room.
"Ross will hear about this!"
After a couple minutes descending the stairs you were now locked in your room with the soldier standing guard at the door.
"Fucking asshole!" You shouted as you slid your back down the wall to sit on the floor while you held up your hand. The green hue danced around your brown fingers as you stared into the small void it created. You smiled at the memory you had stored away from when you revealed this to Shuri and T'Challa for the first time. How they asked you to stay in Wakanda with them. As much as you wanted to stay, you had to decline because you couldn't leave your younger brother behind. But now your brother is in college and T'Challa is gone. You should've been there. With them. To console them as they did you when your mother died.
"They're making a mistake! War with Wakanda isn't a good thing!" You shouted at the guard and he waved you off. They could be coming for me, you know? I could've contacted them about the vibranium you guys found down there!" You lied through your teeth and grinned when that caught his attention. He turned to you with a horrified stare and you shrugged.
"They are my friends, you know." You started as you stood on your feet walking towards the door. He went to speak before a couple of gunshots rang out and we both froze.
"Did you really contact the Wakandans?" He asked with fear laced in his voice.
"Um no. I was bullshitting you actually. Are we under attack?" You questioned and he readied his weapon before taking a deep breath.
"Stay here." He said and you shrugged.
"Not like I have a choice. Wait, don't leave me down here!" You screamed after him as he went to investigate what was going on. You quickly locked the door and shot out a small green sphere into his back as he disappeared up the stairs where you couldn't see him anymore. Closing your eyes your vision was replaced with the soldier's as he slowly approached the top. The general was now a dead man as he hung from the wall by a spear. He looked up into the sky in time to see the chopper get thrown into the ocean.
The soldier's breathing became irregular as he began to panic so you decided to speak to him. "Relax, just hurry up and radio for help." He jumped a bit, startled by the voice in his head and he sighed.
"I forgot you could do that." He mumbled as he went for the general's radio. "Mayday. We're under attack at the vibranium site. Send a strike team now."
"Copy that. Do you recognize the assailants?" Another voice asked and he looked around. "Wakandans."
"No. These aren't Wakandans." You said and the soldier frowned.
"Then who-" Without warning your vision came back to you causing you to fall over. The soldier is dead. You sat up to catch your breath as you stared at the door.
"Who the fuck-" you started before the sound of the steps reached your ears. You quickly stood with your arm stretched out aiming at the door ready for whoever it may be. The knob turned once before complete silence engulfed the room. You held my stance as some curls fell in your face. Whatever it is, you're ready for it.

Jack and His Extraordinary Circle of Friends
Over the course of several years, Jack has made many friends who are all billionaires, including the likes of
Among them are the enigmatic Lex Luthor, King T'challa, the brilliant but sinister Dr. Doom, the elastic genius Mr. Fantastic, the charismatic Tony Stark, the cunning Norman Osborn, the Prince of Gotham, Bruce Wayne, and Oliver Queen.
Jack, being his irrepressible self, has unwittingly brought misfortune upon each of them, driving them to the brink of murderous anger. They share a special friendship. Instead of killing him outright, they preferred to beat him mercilessly until they had exhausted all their frustrations of all these years and all their misfortunes. It's a testament to Jack's uncanny tenacity, like a character from the Looney Toon cartoon.
+
Lex: It's like punching Superman, but he's not an alien!"
Tony: No, he is almost as durable as the Hulk!"
Dr. Doom: I, Dr. Doom, forbid you to have this discuss this again; start hitting him again! "
+
So despite their rage and violence, all his friends just beat him to the bone with no intention of permanently harming him.
In an ironic gesture of goodwill, they even offer to care for Jack's son Danny, while Jack will recovers from planned hospital visits due to their planned beatings.
Danny: Is this just happening to us? Dad pissed off a billionaire who wanted to exchange me for adoption. And I hope they talk about Jazz too, because Dani also needs a place to stay. They can protect us from Vlad."
A/N:" What does it say about Vlad when they don't even want to kill Jack because of their friendship?

You Broke up with me
Shuri x FEM reader
Summary: you and Shuri had broken up when she was in the worse state she couldn't deal with a girlfriend and grief so you left but now that you've come back all emotions come back full speed.
Warning: ⚠️ nothing too bad mentions of scars, breakup, suggestive language, pleading, and public fondling ⚠️
Tumblr media
You finally came back to Wakanda you originally left the country to study elsewhere you couldn't deal with the craziness and pain of your people. T'Challa's death the queen mother Ramonda's death and your girlfriend...ex girlfriends vengeful spirit you remember the break up like it was yesterday.
Flashback
Shuri paces the room in her black panther suit "I want him dead more than anything he's going to get it" you never saw Shuri so upset even during your arguments it never got this bad she is digging her claws into her hands. "Shuri baby you're not in the right mind this isn't you vengeance isn't you" she approaches you stoic facial expression and an assertive tone "you're going to tell me what is and isn't me?" You chuckle nervously before nodding slowly "well I've known you since we were little so yes I know this isn't you. You've never once went through with hurting someone even if they hurt you first" she scoffs at your words before rubbing her bloody palms into her thighs. "yeah and I'm tired of being nice he drowned her right in front of me" you shake your head and grab her hands trying to calm her down because right now you could see her body heat rising the more she talked about killing him. "What about your people? You're putting them at risk you're putting me at risk I'm the next person close to you what happens when you miss and kill one of his people again? I'm next do you want me dead too?" She sucks her teeth and looks you straight in your eyes before mumbling "I won't let that happen... Because we're done I can't deal with you being hurt I'd slaughter his people person by person in front of him if he even thought to lay a hand on you" you blink for a moment when she lays a bloodied hand on your cheek "I love you. You should go because you're right I'm not myself right now and even though it risks you I still want him dead." Your voice falters when you look at her now "I should go?" You ask voice breaking the more it dawns on you that she's breaking up with you after three years. Three years you were there for it all and she's leaving you know because of "protection" no this wasn't protection this was fear you had been through everything with her but she didn't want to put you through this.
End of flashback
It's like a wound that won't heal. That night. Even though you could see in her eyes she didn't want to say any of those things it still hurt. You walked through the palace silently taking it all in again you were one of the only people allowed to walk on their own throughout said palace they trusted you this was your home. You loved everything about this country but the woman you truly loved you were not looking forward to seeing to facing you weren't prepared for that. When you left you cut all ties from Wakanda with the intention of not coming back but you couldn't help yourself. You didn't know that Wakanda was still intact to be honest you left in the middle of a crisis you would fight to the death for Wakanda and its people but Shuri didn't want you to. She could do everything to fight for her people to lead them but you just had to be in the passenger seat watch and observe as she got hurt for being reckless and she listened to no one.
You're so in your thoughts you haven't noticed your kimoyo beads vibrating so maybe you lied to yourself when you said you cut off all ties to Wakanda you never truly cut yourself off from the princess. She still knew your exact location and when you were in bad condition you just couldn't bring yourself to take the gift off. It meant she cared about your safety. You answer the beads as you continue walking in the hallway "yes?" You answer hesitantly "you're here..." Was all that was said before the kimoyo beads hung up and you saw her walking towards you. You had to be honest you were a bit pissed off that she looked great her curls hanging off longer than the last time her dress slim fit. All of this beauty that you left behind you just wanted to scoop it up and put it in your pocket for safe keeping but that didn't really matter as you noticed the scars on her the slash in her eyebrow and the cuts on her arms you wondered how many more scars she had beneath that dress as she found herself in front of you. "My Queen you...look..." You couldn't bring yourself to say anything before walking past her you couldn't do it you couldn't you left when she needed you most. "Y/n you look just as beautiful as that day" you hold your tears as you continue walking if you stopped you knew you would break down in this hallway and you couldn't let anyone else see that. You speed walk to the nearest private area which happens to be a bathroom and take deep breaths calming yourself down when you hear the door creak open you stand up talk and wipe your face. "Y/n...." You turn to her and every tear just pours down as if seeing her released some silent command to let go of all of those feelings you were holding inside. "Then why'd you make me leave? If I'm still as beautiful as that day why push me away? All I wanted to do was care for you and our people" she swallows your words as if they're the largest pill in the world before engulfing you in a tight back hug head propped on your shoulder arms around your waist. "I know and I just didn't want you hurt I knew with the path I was going down I was going to hurt you. I didn't have time for love then I didn't have the patience for the love you were trying to give me," she whispers in your ear you know this is a heartwarming moment but you can't help but think of her lips so close to your face and how bad you want to kiss her after this year apart. "Do you have time for love now?" You ask turning around coming face to face with her towering over you just a bit her curls gently falling on top of your forehead. You let your left hand reach her face and pull her down both of you just barely apart you can feel her breath against your own "please say you have time for love now please tell me you won't push me away please. You broke up with me" you plead she nods "I promise I have all the time in the world for my future wife" you let those thoughts finally take over as you press your lips to her own. It feels like a dream to kiss her after so long you weren't familiar with this version of her though. In the past she used to kiss so softly but this...this was different this was passionate this was real she wasn't nervous she wasn't holding back she wanted you so bad you could taste it on her tongue the want the need.
She found her hands fondling with your jeans and you had no problem until you realized your current place "Shuri my love some one could just come in" she nods as she picks you up and places you on the edge of the sink "let them they'll only see their queen pleasing her queen the way she needs to be pleased" she pulls your jeans down in one quick yank to reveal your pretty black laced underwear "for someone who cut their life off when they left you still have a lot of the gifts I've given you just couldn't bring yourself to stop thinking about me my love?" You smile to yourself before grabbing her by her face "I can ever stop thinking about you you're in my dreams you're there when I close my eyes and you're here now." You gently grab her hand and guide it to your clothed slit "but in my dreams you're way less talkative because your mouth is full" she smiles and flashes those pretty teeth at you before grabbing one of your legs and pulling you closer to her "then let's recreate those dreams because I'm right here and I have made so many new inventions with only you on my mind" she pulls your underwear to the side and smiles at the sight of your pretty pussy "I am so sorry for pushing you away but trust I'm so much stronger now" she pulls off your underwear and drops them in the sink before picking you up and pushing you against wall your back against the cold metal and and her hand gripping your thighs.
A/n: let's not talk about how unsanitary this is but instead talk about how I made something so sad so hot let's be proud about that. -Azail

Rainy days in Wakanda always brought with them nostalgia. Droplets pelted the grass in your garden as you sat perched by your windowsill, admiring the fall. The hammering rain remedied your mind, bittersweet memories playing on an extended loop. A necessary distraction from your existing reality. It was not heavy enough to be deemed a storm, there was no thunder, no lightning, but it had the same lasting effects on your mood.
Rain made you miss her. You missed her smile, her laugh. You longed to feel her lips against yours again, craved the wistful sensation they filled you with that last night she spent in your quarters.
She'd come to say her goodbyes. She was with Shuri moments before, collecting her things and being reunited with her father's car. You thought she'd leave without a word, seeing as your time together was barely enough to be considered anything. Stolen touches in the presence of your siblings, magnetic fingers ghosting over one another. A push and pull that never got the chance to connect, not completely.
You two would lock eyes in your sister’s lab from a distance, using yearning stares to convey what your words could not, what you wouldn't allow them to.
At the time she wanted more than you saw yourself able to offer, so assuming she would leave Wakanda without saying goodbye to you was an idea you made yourself comfortable with. Until she showed up that night while you sat on your balcony, nursing a cup of tea, and letting your mind spin on with thoughts of turmoil and loss.
~
“Heavy is the head.”
You whipped up at the sound of her voice, not believing it at first. Her warm half-smile brought you back down to Earth and out of your own thoughts. Seeing her, just merely looking at Riri standing in your doorway had your chest tightening and heart sprinting.
“I am afraid you must be thinking of my brother. T’challa is king, his head is heaviest.”
She chuckled slightly, moving closer onto the balcony. “I don't think Ima ever get used to how gorgeous it is here. You hear the stories, but they don't do it justice.”
Brown eyes marveled at the city lights before them, while you marveled at how the gleams illuminated her face. It was difficult to admire the city when someone else stole all of your attention just by being.
“Wakanda will miss your presence.” You sipped your tea, averting her eyes when she finally turned to face you.
“Here I was thinking y’all wanted me out for good. I mean I'm technically the reason all that shit went down anyway.” Her nervous laughter pulled your eyes to hers.
You stood, walking over to her, studying her features. You could see the guilt swirling in her pupils, how it lodged itself deep inside of them, darkening their hue. “None of what happened was your fault. No one blames you. You are a victim just as we all are.”
“I blame me.” It was a whisper, and it rocked your core. A flick of anger ran through you at the thought of her feeling even the slightest bit guilty, anger at those who created it. Everyone who made her think this way about herself was taken care of. It eased your conscience some, knowing she would not be bothered again. Yet you still wished there was something you could do to absolve her of the feeling, anything.
You tilted Riri’s chin with your index finger and she flinched. You’d hardly touched her since she'd been in your country, not in the way you wanted to. So her shock was warranted. The two of you were aware of the brewing emotions when in each other's presence. You liked it, wanted more of it, but you were also aware of your older siblings, and their overprotective natures.
You knew it would only intensify now with your mother gone, and being with Riri, or anyone for that matter, would make them wary.
“I want you to stop that. I do not blame you, and I will not have you leave me believing that I do.”
Riri gulped. This was the closest you'd ever let her be to you. “Leave you?”
“Are you not preparing to leave me? Isn't that why you've come? To say goodbye?”
She shook her head, stepping out from under your touch. “Nah, I'm leaving Wakanda. You made it clear you didn't want this, don't do that.”
She was wrong. So very wrong. You wanted her more than she knew, more than you yourself understood. But you couldn't have her, and she didn't get that. “Do what?”
“That. Don't act like I'm breaking your heart or some shit. You don't wanna be with me and that's cool, but don't make me feel like it's on me. I told you how I felt from jump, don't put this on me. Please.”
“It is not on you. Nothing is on you, I need you to know that, now and forever.”
She backed away slowly, frustration fueling her antics. “Ugh! You know ion like when you do that. You're making it seem like choosing to be with me is some huge task, like you want to but can't. It's either you do or you don't. You're in your own way, this don't got nothing to do with Shuri, or T’challa. It's you. You don't want this, you don't want me.”
“Riri I–”
“Nah. I came to say bye, like you said, and Ima do that. Cause you deserve that at least, and I'm big on treating folks in the way they deserve. So goodbye, have a nice life.” She tried to step through the door, but you grabbed her wrist, igniting that familiar pull. That magnetic buzz you two knew well.
You spun her to face you and her eyes widened. She attempted to tug away, she was quite adamant about it, but your hold was firm. You wouldn't let her walk away from you. Not this time.
“Don't.” She did not mean it. You’d grown to learn her tones, and this one was a plea not for you to stop, but one that begged for continuance. Riri wanted you to take it all the way, and her beautiful gaze told you as much.
When you kissed her the sky roared, shaking your world. It pelted the two of you with endless showers. You cupped her wet face amidst it all, pulling her closer, kissing her deeper. Passion seeped from within her into you, and you absorbed it all like your clothes did the rain. Soaking up all that Riri was had been a long-standing desire of yours for the last two months, and now you were drowning in it; you were drowning in her.
The rain still poured as you pulled away, but neither of you seemed to mind, neither of you seemed to notice. You were too caught up in the heat of each other as you watched the lightning reflect in her striking eyes. “To hell with my siblings. I do know what I want. I want you, Riri Williams.”
She nodded, kissing you again before tugging you into your room and ridding your bodies of your soaked clothing. You touched her everywhere that night, making up for lost time. It was something you both needed, something to solidify everything you felt for each other. No one had ever made you feel the way Riri did, and you needed her to know that.
Rain pounded at your windows, desperate and eager just as your lips were roaming her body, and it only added to the intensity floating inside your bedroom. You’d never felt more whole than in that moment.
“I am going to miss you terribly. Going to miss this.”
She put her bra back on before slipping into one of your tops. She kissed you then, less forceful now, still as heated. “I think you'll be aight for a couple of months.”
“Months?!?!”
Her laugh was loud and it roared from within her like the thunder outside. “Damn, I barely got my clothes back on yet and you already feening? Was it that good ma?”
You tossed a pillow at her and she gasped. “Shuri gave you Kimoyo beads?”
She held her wrist up, showing off the bracelet your sister crafted. “Good. I will be contacting you every day until I am able to see you again.”
“You real cute when you clingy, I like it better than you being detached and trying to ignore me.” You pulled her in again, pecking all over her face and she giggled. “But I really gotta go before Shuri comes looking for me and finds me half naked in your room. I been gone way longer than I said I’d be.”
Your eyebrows shot up as you were reminded of the risk you were taking. “You are right. She tracks me and watches me like a hawk. You should hurry.”
With one last kiss, Riri was out of your bedroom and heading back to America. And all you could think of was the way her mouth felt against every part of you, and how big your feelings for her were.
~
Every time it rained, your thoughts drifted, returning you to that night. That was your last time seeing her in person, feeling her, and you were suffering. You longed to be in her embrace again. Riri was a drug and your addiction only strengthened and grew incessant the more days you spent without her.
You’d kept your relationship a secret, fearing your siblings would not approve, especially now. At first it was thrilling, having something only you and Riri shared. And it was easy to conceal, being worlds apart.
But months of video chatting and vaguely explicit messages were no longer cutting it. You needed her with you, and it was something you were going to get. A plan hatched in your mind just as you heard soft rapping on your bedroom door.
You rolled your eyes. “Yes, I am awake. I am breathing. You may tell my brother that and you may leave me alone.”
“Who is to say I am not checking on your living status for myself?” Aneka stepped into your room then, grinning as she often did.
You spun to face her, sporting a bored expression. “As you can see, I am alive, and I am well.”
“Alive, yes. But you are not well. You have not been well since Miss Williams returned back to America.” She smirked when she caught your eyebrows shooting up, knowing she had you, but you were determined to prove her wrong. “What? Did you think I was unaware of your relationship?”
You deadpanned. “I have not been well since Shuri and T’challa decided I was a prisoner in my own home.”
“Ah, Princess, come on now. You are not a prisoner, they are only worried about you and want to keep you safe. As do I. We have all learned that we are not as protected as we previously thought ourselves to be.”
“Then why do I feel like I am a prisoner?” You challenged.
Aneka stepped closer to you, holding your gaze in that deathly intimidating way that she did. Despite her seemingly chipper demeanor, this stare she possessed, this daunting glare, it never failed to run your blood cold. The goosebumps on your forearms sparked instantaneously, like a knee-jerk reaction as she stood directly in front of you. Your breath hitched. “I can assure you, the life you live is in no way similar to the life of a prisoner, Princess.”
“Have I mentioned how unsettling it is when you stare at me like that?” Your attempt to keep the air light was acknowledged and she loosened her shoulders.
“You think so? I have been trying to perfect it, Ayo told me it isn't quite there, but I disagree.” She grinned. You respected Aneka a lot, and you respected her ability to shift from soldier to friend with ease.
You rolled your eyes with a huff, flopping onto your bed rather dramatically. “I'm glad you find this so amusing.”
“If you are so miserable without your scientist, why don't you make your case to go see her? I'm sure Shuri and T’challa would not mind you spending time with her, she and the Princess are friends after all.” You tried ignoring the buzz you felt at the words, your scientist. Riri was yours, all yours.
This made you sit up, a plotting grin hanging on your mouth. “Oh don't you worry about that, Aneka dear. I have that all figured out.”
“Now it is you who unsettles me, Princess. I want no part in whatever it is you are scheming. I will report to the King that you are awake.” With that, she picked up her spear and shifted out the door, leaving you alone to your own devices. Not a particularly logical thing to do, seeing as you had it in your mind you would be seeing your girlfriend soon. You and your devices would make sure of that.
•••
The Throne Room awakened memories you tried putting to bed. Months of avoidance, only for you to return now, reliving everything all over again. Gone was that homey feel it previously housed, in its place stood despair. Somehow the rain was aware of that. Crying skies depicted the emotions you felt being back here, your mood threatening to darken like the clouds outside.
It was quiet. No stirring apart from the gentle showers. Your brother was alone, as you hoped he'd be.
Stoic as ever, T’challa stood in front of the reinforced windows, palms tucked inside each other behind his back as he studied the foggy glass. You needed not to see his face to know he was contemplating, deep in his thoughts, swimming in them as he often did.
His whirring mind did nothing to conceal your presence from him. There was no doubt he sensed you coming before you even rounded the corner. “Do my eyes and ears deceive me?”
He watched you now, following your distorted silhouette through the glass as you strode toward him.
“They do not, My King.” His aura as intense as it was inviting, pulling you closer until your feet rested right beside his towering body. You joined him in his leisure, your own eyes falling to the streams of water racing each other down the surface.
"How are you?" His true concern buried deep under the question, and you answered as best you could, aware he was feeling similarly.
You bumped his shoulder with your own, grinning ever so slightly.
When he chuckled, it rumbled out of him from deep within. It was teasing, just as you expected. It was also comforting, cozy, washing over you and lightening your mood. “Have you come to ask me for something Shuri has said no to? If she has denied you, I am afraid there is nothing I can do to help you, Littlest Sister.”
He was bluffing and you knew it. Together, there was no negotiating with Shuri and T’challa. They worked as a unit to plot your untimely demise, as you were so fond of saying. Or rather Shuri worked, whilst T'challa merely followed her lead. The simple thought of your new ‘restrictions’ had your irritation flaring. No late night walks or drives alone, no venturing to the river without supervision, you had to be home at a certain time, no spending the night at your friend's.
Some were reasonable, you could admit that, and you understood their worry completely. But not allowing you to go shopping in the market without Aneka at your side was a tad overbearing. You were not a child, you could protect yourself just as well as they could. But once the two of them made up their minds together, that was final.
Which is precisely why you sought T’challa out alone. Of the two, he was easiest to manipulate. In Shuri's absence, you got what you wanted. She knew your tricks too well, having been the one to teach them to you. It was tougher for T’challa to say no to you and you took advantage of that.
“No. I have not seen Shuri today actually. Aneka was too busy, she could not cradle me in her arms like a baby and escort me to the lab.” You narrowed your eyes and his smile grew.
He tsked, deciding to play along. “That is too bad. I suppose since you have no supervision, I have no choice but to confine you to your room for the rest of the day, hmm?”
“I do not need supervision, Brother, as I've been saying for months.”
“Then what is it that you want? I am sure it’s something.”
Your gasp was dramatic as you clutched your chest, and it made him laugh again. “Do I have to want something to pay my Big Brother a visit?”
“Usually, yes. What else would bring you here, and have you address me as King, instead of what was it again? Oh yes, your jailer.”
You rolled your eyes, stomping your foot in the process. He still hadn't changed his stance, if he didn't see your pout and puppy dog eyes, you would be leaving here without the thing you came for. “Well now that you mention it, there is something I have come to discuss.”
“See, I knew it!”
“But! It is not for me, it's for Shuri.”
He turned to face you then, sporting a curious expression. Perfect, it was game time. “Well, I am sure you've noticed she retreats to her lab more often these days. You didn't hear this from me, but I think she sleeps there. It's worrisome. Not good for her at all.”
You embellished your concern, adding extra emphasis to certain words in attempts to keep his attention.
The two of you nodded in unison. “Yes, I have noticed this. You are correct, it is worrisome.”
“Right? I’d say maybe she should be the one constantly surveilled and not me, seeing as she's clearly losing herself in whatever it is she's working on over there. This new project of hers has truly been causing immense stress. It's not healthy, I think–”
T’challa snapped his fingers, losing patience with your rambling. “Your point, let us focus on that.”
“Oh yes! My point! The reason I am here! Well, I have a proposal that I believe can be good for her. Something, or rather someone, who can assist her, someone who gets her. A person who thinks similarly to the way she does.”
“And who is this person you speak of?”
A large smile spread across your face as you thought of her, her name escaping you coated in sheer adoration. Adoration you wanted to keep inside. But in order to carry out your plan, have it succeed, you would need to share it, reveal it only slightly to get your way. “Riri Williams.”
“Ah, yes. The American scientist. You believe she can help Shuri?”
You paced in front of him, your hands mimicking his behind your back. “Oh, I do, yes. They are both very intelligent, I believe they can help each other.”
“And how do you know this is something that either of them will want?” His eyes followed you, watching you walk back and forth.
“Well, I can assure you, Big Brother, this is something Miss Williams and I have discussed for quite some time. She wants to return to Wakanda and I would love– I mean, I think Shuri could benefit from her being here.” You cleared your throat and tried to ignore the smirk on your brother's face.
Your demeanor displayed the utmost confidence. You rocked perfect posture and spoke with worry-drenched words, but still, there was a storm brewing inside you.
Your heartbeat stuttered with every sentence, sweat dampened your forehead the longer you stood under T'challa's skeptical gaze. He knew there was something deeper going on than your concern for Shuri, but you had to sell it the best you could.
“Is that so?” That smile on his face told you he was not at all convinced by your sentiment. But you did not need to be convincing, you only needed his permission.
You nodded with a hard smile and faux desperation. He could not break you, you wouldn't let him. “Yes.”
“You and Miss Williams speak often?” Something in his tone dipped and so did your stomach.
“We are friends. Can I not have friends?”
T’challa threw his hands up and you exhaled softly, an indication that he would not be pressing you any further.
“I do not believe that this is entirely for Shuri, you’re not that selfless,” You feigned hurt and he laughed, scratching his beard. “But I will allow it. I quite like Riri, let her know she is free to visit whenever she may like.”
“You wound me, Big Brother. But I quite like Riri as well, and so does Shuri, obviously. Which is why I have decided to arrange her visit for this weekend.”
You beamed, and he squinted at you. “Oh, Littlest Sister, this is where you reveal the part of your plan I will not like, right?”
You bobbed your head up and down before speaking. “I was thinking since this is a surprise for Shuri, I could accompany Aneka on the trip? It would be good for Miss Williams to be greeted by a familiar face you know. She doesn’t know Aneka as well as she knows me. It would make her more comfortable.”
You threw your arms around him before he could protest, pulling back to gaze at him with the most gentle, pleading eyes you could muster. “You've already said she can visit, I just want to make sure her journey here is safe. This would make you my favorite big brother in the world!”
“I’m your only brother. And I did not agree to this. This was not the idea you pitched to me. No, Aneka can retrieve her on her own.”
“Please? Please can I go? I've been cooped up in this palace for months, I just want to greet my friend. Say yes, please?”
He shook his head in defiance. “No. And that is final. I will not risk your safety. Out of the question.”
Your arms were around his neck again as you begged, yanking hard and promising to take extra precautions. You felt T’challa relax under you and a devious smirk formed on your lips, dripping triumphantly. You’d won.
“Fine. But Shuri cannot know, do you hear me?”
You zipped your lips and locked them, tossing the imaginary key over your shoulder. Your smile still housed those doe eyes, and he shook his head.
“Go. Before I change my mind.”
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
You skipped off then, humming to yourself on your stroll back to your quarters. Excitement and anticipation bubbled in your chest at the thought of seeing your girlfriend again. Your longing daydreams of holding her and kissing her would soon become a reality and you felt like you were going to burst.
•••
“Where you going? You look pretty.” The holographic image of Riri’s face examined your expression. You were on your way to surprise her, and it was getting harder to conceal your joy the longer you spoke to her.
You smiled with a light blush, getting lost in her eyes. “Oh, I’m just heading to Shuri’s lab with my babysitter.”
Aneka’s groan was loud enough for Riri to hear and she laughed. “Well, I miss you baby. I wish you were coming to see me.”
“I miss you too, my love.” Riri stretched and you bit your lip at the sight of her in only a sports bra.
When she caught your reaction, she smirked. “You miss me? Or you miss something else, ma?”
“I do not appreciate what you are implying here.” Your voice lowered to a whisper as you eyed Aneka cautiously.
Riri laughed again and the mere sound of it soothed you, making it exceedingly hard to be annoyed with her. “I got the texts to back it up too. Remember when you said, ‘I just want to feel your mouth on m-’”
“Okay! We’ve arrived at the lab, I will talk to you later! Love you, bye!” You swiftly ended the call, hanging your head in embarrassment. Riri’s candor would never be a thing you got used to, you’d found. It was something you loved about her, her openness, but it never failed to shock you.
Aneka turned her head slightly as she spoke to you. “If only the King knew what he agreed to when he allowed you to go on this trip. I told you to leave me out of it, now I have to be subjected to these displays.”
“Ugh! How much longer until we are there? Can’t be trapped in here with you for another minute.” You huffed and she returned her attention to flying the aircraft.
“I can turn it around, you know?” Her words rendered you silent, and you remained that way for the rest of the flight. It was easy to discern from the self-satisfied smirk on her face that Aneka was pleased with her ability to shut you up. You were too excited to see Riri to challenge her anyway, even if you were sure her threat was indeed false.
“We are here.”
Stepping off the Talon Fighter, each breath you drew dried your mouth out, nerves beginning to get the best of you. This was not your first time in America, but it was your first time in Boston, and your first time being in Riri’s world.
Your mind trailed back to when you’d learned of Shuri’s kidnapping the last time she was here, along with Riri. Terror grew inside you that day at the thought of never seeing your sister again. You feared for Riri too, though you hadn’t known her then.
Now it was impossible to envision not knowing her. She took up so much space in your life, and did so gracefully over the span of months.
Your anxiety grew the closer you inched to her dorm room, treading through the sea of students littering the hall. You stood in front of her door then, and you knocked, anticipation clawing at your throat. Trembling fingers fidgeted at your sides as you waited. Seconds felt like hours, ticking by slower than molasses moved, and you allowed the intrusive thoughts to trample your mind like a stampede of elephants.
Did your hair look okay? You’d gotten your Bantu Knots redone that morning, just for her. What if she hated them? What if months apart made her realize she was no longer interested in you? Was she even home? Did she meet someone else? Maybe that was why she hadn’t answered the door yet. Perhaps she was no-
The door swung open and a rather sweaty-looking Riri stood before you: eyes wide and lips parted as her chest heaved. Post-workout looked amazing on her.
She hadn’t moved, nor had she uttered a word, her slow blink recognized as shock. You found yourself at a loss for words as well, taking her in fully for the first time in far too long. The two of you got lost in each other's eyes, as you often did. Staring down at her ignited that pull you’d been craving for months. Your eyes flickered to her lips, and she nodded, still unable to speak. You knew what she wanted, you wanted it too, yearned for it, even if you couldn’t find the words to say it.
You leaned in, smashing your lips to hers and fireworks exploded at the connection. Kissing her awoke a hunger inside your sternum. Riri hopped up, wrapping her legs around your waist and you backed the both of you into her room before kicking the door shut. Her back was on the bed shortly after as you hovered above her, lips still locked. Breathing was an afterthought. You only wanted more of her, all of her.
“You lied to me.” She managed in between hard pecks to your throat. Your hands roamed her sides and her exposed stomach as you moaned into her touch. “Said you was going to Shuri’s lab.”
“I know. Surprise.” Your lips met her chest and she shuddered with a giggle. Her whimpers drove you mad and you tugged on her leggings. “Off.”
She obliged without a beat of hesitation, and you slithered down her body, leaving a trail of hot, wet kisses down her abs on your way to your final destination.
You rolled beside her, exhaling loudly and she laughed into your side. “You are radiant, do you know that?”
“You aight too, I guess.” You gasped and pinched her thigh, bringing forth a whine. When you shifted to face her on the mattress, you found her shiny eyes already on you. The sight warmed your insides. Feeling the heat radiating from her sweaty body pulled you in, that neverending attraction working overtime to weave you two together. Being by her side mended parts of you you did not know were fractured, and you felt whole again. Riri made you whole.
Words were still scarce as you lay next to her panting body, the dim light casting shadows over that face that stole your breath away.
“What are you thinking about?” Riri’s gentle voice was like a song, and you got caught up in its melody.
“You. How much I missed you. How much I love you.” You watched the words wash over her and she grinned, making your heart flutter in that way only she could. You’d said your first real ‘I love yous’ two months ago, and now you couldn't stop.
Riri sat up, pulling her knees to her bare chest, head resting on them as she watched you intently. “How are you here right now?”
“As I said, I missed you and I wanted to see you.”
“Right, but how are you here? Thought T’challa and Shuri had that ass on lockdown.”
You rolled your eyes with a faint smile. “I think I have proven that when it comes to you, I am willing to defy everyone and everything in the world.”
“Damn, okay Princess. So how long you staying?”
“I’m not. You are coming with me.”
You watched the confusion flash across her face. “To Wakanda?” You nodded and she scrunched her nose.
“I got class on Monday baby. I can’t just-”
“I will have you back here in time for your classes. Now, get dressed and gather your things. Aneka is waiting.”
Riri did as she was told, grabbing a bag from her messy closet, stuffing clothes into it. “So you flying me to another continent? Just for the weekend? Is that what I’m hearing?”
“Yes.” Your answer was matter-of-fact and simple, and you could tell she was having a hard time believing it.
She slung her bag over her shoulder nonetheless and waited by the door for you to lead the way. “Ion know how I be forgetting I’m dating a literal Princess. Like powerful kingdom and rich as hell type Princess. How do I forget that?”
You laughed, grabbing her fingers and lacing them into yours. The static shock did not cause either of you to jump, instead, you latched on tighter. “It’s because I am quite humble, what can I say.”
“Or I’m just so obsessed and in love with you alone, I block out all the unimportant stuff. Like how rich you are.”
You beamed down at her clinging to your arm. “I think I like that reason better.”
“While we on the subject, just how rich are y’all over there? Gimme like ballpark or something.”
Your chuckle was hearty as the two of you boarded the ship hand in hand and you shook your head.
•••
The trip home seemed to be shorter than the one leaving. Riri was all over you the entire time: sitting in your lap, kissing your face, whispering sweet nothings into your ears, and making you giggle with her corny little science jokes.
“Okay, okay you gon like this one. What do you call it when a biologist takes a photo of themself?”
Your eyes rolled and you sighed. “I don't know.”
“A cell-fie.” She laughed in that over-exaggerated way she reserved only for you and slapped her knee. It was your own fault really, you’d made the mistake of telling her science and humor did not mesh well, so it became her mission to prove you wrong.
“That was awful.” You responded with a fond smile.
She pushed off you and you attempted to pull her back. “Man whatever. That shit was hard, you just wouldn't get it. Shuri would laugh.”
“Speaking of my darling sister. She doesn't exactly know you are coming.”
Riri quirked a brow, and you heard Aneka huff a soft laugh at your confession. “What are you talking about?”
“Well… in order to get my brother to agree with you coming here, I was forced to tell a few white lies. One of which included me telling him I was bringing you here as a surprise for Shuri.” Your grin did nothing to shift her frown.
“And what does that mean for us? This isn't gon be like the first time I was here right? Because that was just, no. I ain't doing that ag–”
You reached for her hands, trying to ease her unrest. “No! Of course not. You would only have to spend some time with her in the lab. And given her current state, it is highly probable that she'll kick you out almost immediately. Then we may spend the weekend together. Trust that I have thought this through, mtuwam.”
“Okay… if you say so.” It was evident she was still a bit uneasy, so you kissed her lips gently, hoping to soothe her.
“Princess, we are home.”
Reentering Wakanda’s borders was an activity you could never grow bored of. Your home was marvelous, and being reminded of that was an amazing feeling.
Letting go of Riri’s hand proved to be a difficult task. You kept grabbing it and pressing kisses to her knuckles, prolonging your stay on the ship. T’challa was waiting to greet you as you landed and you made sure to stand a reasonable distance from Riri, though her body called to you.
“I see you have made it back in one piece. I must admit, I didn't think the odds would be in your favor, Littlest Sister.”
“Comedy does not suit you, Big Brother, I would stick to sulking on the throne if I were you.”
He laughed, then his eyes drifted to Riri perched patiently beside you. “So happy to have you back with us Miss Williams. I'm sure Shuri will be as well.”
“Happy y’all invited me. Wakanda is dope as hell, I love it here.” Her response was genuine and it filled your chest with pride. You met her gaze for a split second longer than intended and you couldn't help but grin. Damn those striking eyes of hers.
You cleared your throat, excusing yourself to help Riri settle in and T’challa nodded. “Give me your bag dear.”
It was a whisper soft enough only for the two of you to hear, and you hoped the gesture wouldn't seem too off. You were simply being hospitable. There was no way you were letting Riri carry her own bag, not when your hands were ready and available.
Your hands brushed at the exchange, longing fingers lingering lovingly. You felt eyes on the two of you as you walked away, but when you turned, there was no one.
“And the best part is my room is right down the hall. So you can sneak out at night to visit me. Or I can visit you, whichever you prefer.” You’d just gotten Riri settled in one of the palace's spare rooms.
She only beamed at you, pulling you in by your waist and you laughed. Her hands on your body just felt right. She was on her tippy toes then, kissing you long and deep, and you molded into her. Her fingers traced the hem of your skirt, climbing higher and higher up your thigh.
She shoved you onto the bed with force and you groaned. “Riri.”
“Just go with it.” She was on your lap soon after, wet mouth roaming your exposed neck as she created bruises that were sure to last.
You moaned, allowing your fingers to find her hips. “We can't.”
“You sure?” Her head was descending lower and you wanted her to keep going, every muscle in your body wanted to guide her, but you couldn’t. Not now, not with the Dora posted outside the room door, and not when you were supposed to be sticking to your plan. You knew T’challa would be checking in soon and you needed to head to Shuri’s lab immediately to avoid further suspicion.
“Ayo is outside, and T’challa could stop by at any time. I do not want to risk anything. Besides, we must go see Shuri now.”
Riri groaned but got up, once again allowing you to lead the way. You laughed at her and she stuck out her tongue. Bast, you had to be the luckiest person on Earth, with the cutest girlfriend on Earth.
“You sure Shuri’s in here? It ain’t usually this dark.” The two of you entered your sister’s lab. It was empty. Her playlist drowned out the sounds of her soft snoring, but they got louder the closer you inched to her.
“Oh, she is certainly in here. Griot, the lights please.”
The AI obeyed, lighting up the space to reveal a sleeping Shuri at one of the workstations. She was still in her clothes from the day prior, same lab coat too. Her curls were wild and frizzy from not being tied down and there was a small amount of drool on the side of her mouth.
“Yo, did she sleep here?” Riri walked closer to where you stood in front of your sister and you nodded. “Do we wake her?”
“In due time, my love, in due time.” You snapped a selfie of you and her sleeping form, mentally bookmarking it for later use. Your girlfriend shook her head next to you and your lips curved. “Now we wake her.”
Your finger met her cheek and you poked, but she did not stir. Then a thought struck you and you did everything to hold in your laughter.
“Shuri! You will never believe this, wake up! Tems has followed you back, look!”
This jolted her awake, and you took note of the candy wrapper stuck to the other side of her face. “She what? The love of my life has noticed me? Where? Show me!”
“Yeah, she did not actually notice you, but could you imagine? Tems is not thinking of you, dear sister. Just needed to wake you is all, seeing as you slept here again after you said you wouldn't.”
Shuri narrowed her eyes, looking you up and down curiously. “I would much rather sleep here than in the same place as my lying and deceitful sister. You cannot joke like that, you know how much I love her.”
“Right…” She pinched your arm and you yelped. "Ouch! What is your problem?!"
“Speaking of lies and deception, I will give you one chance to tell me where you went this morning, I lost signal on your Kimoyo beads for a few hours.”
Your groan was to be expected, and it did not soften her accusing tone. You knew Shuri would be tracking you, which is why you switched them off the moment you were outside the border. “I am not a child, you know. I can come and go as I please.”
“No. You cannot. Now tell me where you went and who you were with.”
Riri poked her head out from behind you after minutes of going unnoticed by your sister. She waved shyly with a smile. “She actually came to get me. Heard you was working on something that had you stressed, and your sister thought I could help.”
She reached up to pluck the wrapper from Shuri’s face and you swallowed your laughter.
“Riri! I've missed you! I honestly did not see you standing behind her. Sometimes I forget how short you are.” She pulled the smaller girl in for a hug and you snarled.
Annoyance bustled within you, the need to protect Riri taking hold of your thoughts and actions. “Hey! She is not that short. You’re one to talk.”
Shuri tilted her head, startled by your outburst, and your attempt to play it cool was rendered useless when you caught Riri’s sly smirk, clearly pleased with your defense. You fought your own smile, ignoring the awkward tension floating above the three of you. You prayed desperately for it to dissolve, fearing Shuri’s comments if it did not. “Okay then, that wasn't weird at all. Where is your sense of humor sister, geez? But anyway, Riri, yes I could use your help. I have not slept in my bed in days.”
“We can tell.” You retorted and she attempted to smack you.
“Uh yeah, how can I help?” It took nothing for them to completely zone out, wholly consumed by their work.
Though your presence was neglected soon after, the sight of the two most important women in your life bonding warmed your entire heart. You did not think it possible to love Riri more, but witnessing the smile she brought to Shuri’s face, seeing the way her eyes lit up, made you aware of how wrong you were. Loving her was limitless. It was so easy for her, lifting the spirits of others, being generous with her mind and time. She filled you with joy and pride, every ounce threatening to seep out of you.
You were staring, and you knew it, but it was not a thing that could be helped. Being so enamored with all that Riri was, you were oblivious to Shuri’s eyes darting between you and the young scientist you ogled across the lab.
Riri’s presence was enveloping like that, it toweled around you, muffling everything that wasn’t her.
“I think I'm going to call it a night. Going to actually sleep in my bed for once. Riri you are welcome to stay here as long as you like, I’m sure my sister would be happy to keep you company.” Something in her tone of voice sounded off, but it was difficult to pinpoint.
Riri nodded, turning back to the blueprints on the interface.
“Be safe, please.” Shuri kissed your head, smiling softly before leaving.
It wasn’t long before Riri took advantage of your aloneness, leaping onto you like a bunny. Her mouth was all over you, and you were a mess underneath her. She gripped your ass and you shrieked. “Riri, not here, we can't.”
“When you gon give me a chance to show you just how much I missed you, ma?” She kissed your stomach, pulling a tired moan from the back of your throat.
She knew just how to get you worked up, touching and kissing all the right spots. “Okay, fine. But it cannot be here.”
The two of you were giggling messes as you tiptoed through the silent palace. Riri pulled you into a secluded hallway, nipping hungrily at your jaw. Her tongue lapped over the bruises decorating your neck, amplifying your need for her. You smirked down into her lust-filled eyes. She would take you right here, and you were prepared to let her.
“I want you.” Her fingers were already under your skirt and you whimpered at the contact. Your heart came alive in your chest, batting against you from the thrill of it all.
A heated kiss muffled your moans as you writhed under her. “Shhh baby. You gon get us caught.”
It was difficult, and Riri was terribly skilled with her fingers. You were both gone off each other, so inebriated that the footsteps approaching the dark corridor went unnoticed. Someone cleared their throat and you jumped. Your stomach flipped, and your heartbeat revved into overdrive. Thrill melted away, dissolving into gut-wrenching dread.
You ripped your wet lips from Riri’s and turned to face the mystery person. The two of you were distraught and out of breath as Ayo inched closer. “Princess? Is that you? What are you doing out this late? The King–”
“I will head to my room now! No need to involve my brother!” The shake in your voice was noticeable, and her eyes widened when she caught sight of kiss-blown Riri tucked nervously behind you.
“Oh! Um, my apologies Princess. I was not aware you were not… alone. But please, head to your quarters. If I have found you, anyone can.” You tried ignoring her admonishment, but she was correct after all. Taking this kind of risk could have ended a lot worse, T’challa could’ve found you, Shuri. You knew better. It was reckless, but when Riri was in your head, thinking straight was a battle, a losing one.
She dipped her head, leaving you and your girlfriend alone. Your laughs were instant after, and you slapped your palms over each other's mouths. “Ooh, you in trouble Princess.”
“Stop it! Come on, let's go.” You tugged her to your quarters, fully intending on finishing what was interrupted moments ago.
•••
Waking up with Riri next to you was a feeling you needed to know forever, you’d decided. In the dark of the night, she'd tucked herself into your side, head on your chest as small snores escaped her. Being deprived of this sight, this warmth, for as long as you were was criminal.
She nestled closer and it just about brought you to tears. A soft kiss to her temple pulled her from slumber and she frowned, stunning brown eyes finding yours instantly. “You woke me.”
“With a kiss.”
“I ain't sleeping beauty.” She glared at you, it was so cute you just had to kiss her again.
Your chuckle was immediate as you stared at her arms, still wrapped around your torso with zero plans of letting go. “You are beautiful when you sleep, so I disagree. You're quite the sleeping beauty.”
“Corny.”
Rapid knocking at your door hindered your response and you panicked. It was far too early for Aneka to be checking on you. You leapt out of bed frantically with your sheet wrapped around your naked body, fearing it was one of your siblings. “Who is it? I am not yet decent.”
“It is just me, Princess. Thought I’d come to check on you a bit earlier, in case you needed help sneaking a certain scientist out of your quarters.”
You sighed loudly. “I don't need–”
“Do not lie, Princess. I am aware of where she spent the night. Your little run-in with my wife last night has made me privy to many things.”
You heard Riri giggle behind you and you huffed. “We are fine, Aneka. Your assistance is not needed.”
“Very well. Oh, and Shuri would like to see Miss Williams in her lab later today. Something about their project. And, be cautious, ndiyacela.”
It was unclear if Aneka’s concern about your relationship remaining a secret was out of love for you, or fear of losing her job. But knowing her, it could very well be both. When she left, you crawled back into bed, pulling Riri atop you, cradling her body ever so delicately in your arms. She tucked her head beneath your chin, meshing well with your skin there.
A puzzle, the pair of you were, you fit just right. Tender fingers massaged circles into her back, causing her to coo into your ear. If given the choice, you'd stay this way forever, making her frame an extension of your own.
“We have got to get up eventually, mtuwam.”
This caused her to groan and snuggle closer into you. “Don't wanna.”
“If we do not get up, someone will come looking for us. Most likely Shuri herself, if she's requested to see you.”
Riri held you tight, still refusing to budge. You had no desire to move either, having made a home under her warmth. But alas, like a wolf, you had to blow it down, leaving her bare skin exposed to the cool of the room.
Her little huff of annoyance was adorable as she shifted back to the side of the bed she slept on, and you got up. “So does this mean you won't join me in the shower? That is too bad. I remember how much you enjoyed the water pressure when you were here last.”
Riri’s head rose from the covers excitedly, tripping over the sheets as she ran into your arms.
After your shower activities, you and Riri found yourselves battling to keep your hands off of each other in the elevator down to Shuri's lab, touching her only enabled your growing addiction.
The lights were dimmer than usual when you stepped off, it was quieter too, no music or buzzing chatter of her team. Weird. There was always movement during the daytime.
“Shuri?” You called into the darkness, but silence greeted you. It all felt off; ominous, and you did not like it.
Riri tugged on your arm. “Ion think she's here babe.”
“Oh, but she is here… babe.” A shadow moved toward you and you squinted, eyes adjusting to Shuri as she stopped in your direct line of sight. T’challa was not far behind, face contorted into what you believed was meant to be a scowl. “See. I told you, Brother, if I sent word for Riri, our darling sister would be in tow as well.”
Shit.
Your eyes passed quickly to Riri, who seemed more confused than anything. You, on the other hand, were on the verge of collapsing. The drumming in your chest blared in your heated ears, blocking out the sound of Shuri’s ranting. T’challa had not yet addressed you, his eyes merely fanned you disappointedly, which somehow made it all worse. Shit. Shit. Shit.
“Answer my next question truthfully or so help me…” Shuri wiped her palms down her face with an exasperated sigh, thickening the atmosphere with the air her body expelled.
“Are you two,” She wagged her finger between Riri and yourself. “You two are… Bast, Brother I cannot even say the words.”
She was being theatrical, honestly. When Shuri got like this it was hard to get her to listen to reason, but reason escaped you, so either way you were screwed. You passed a glance at your girlfriend, whose eyes seemed particularly fond of the shiny floors. Every bone in your body wanted to comfort her, needed to reassure her, but you froze, your feet planting deep roots in the ground, prohibiting your movement.
“Littlest Sister, is it true? What Shuri has told me about you and Miss Williams? Are you two… involved? You wouldn’t lie to me, would you?” T'challa spoke at last as Shuri paced.
Involved? Involved made it sound so formal, so dated, like the two of you were in your forties. You were not involved, you were in love. Admitting that would only escalate things now though, so you bit your tongue and hung your head in shame. You had to hand it to him though, pulling out the doting brother card was almost enough to crack you.
Neither of you spoke, fearing too much the outcome. Riri’s discomfort buzzed off her and onto you as though it was your own. Not easing it was enough to fracture you again, undoing all the rebuilding you’d done in the past twenty-four hours. She stood silently, fidgeting with her fingers, intending on following your lead like usual, but you were all out of moves.
“Take her silence as an answer Brother.” Shuri’s unyielding glare made you flinch. Under any other circumstance, you’d find her behavior amusing, but her ability to intimidate had grown more effective after ingesting the heart-shaped herb.
You cleared your throat, finally gaining the courage to speak and you felt hopeful eyes on you, Riri’s eyes. “Why are you doing this?”
“Answer the question, liar.”
A laugh climbed your throat as Shuri spat her sentence at you, but you swallowed it. “And what is it that you presume I've lied about?”
Your question was only to gauge their knowledge, to see just how much you could twist your already existing string of lies before it snapped completely and forever.
Shuri tapped her chin dramatically. “Hmm, well let us see. Should we start with the original lie you told to get her here? Disguising it as a surprise for me,” T’challa nodded beside her, cosigning the entire ordeal. “But that one is more on you, Brother, for not catching it.”
“Hey now! In my defense, I was truly concerned for you when I agreed to Miss Williams coming here.”
“You were a fool is what you were. You fall for her tricks all the time, it's sad. I’m sorry, but it is.”
T’challa scoffed. “Can we please focus? I am not the one in trouble here.”
“I'm just saying, if only you had run this past me, instead of blindly agreeing, this could have been avoided altogether.” Shuri’s expressive hands spoke with her, just as frantic, just as accusing.
“Well–”
Your anxiety dissipated the longer you watched the two of them bicker, who the ring leader was, was clear as day. You passed a glance at Riri, discreetly squeezing her hand for a few seconds.
“Oh! Did you see that?! Let's get back to you deceivers, eh? Seeing the way you defended her when I called her short did not concern me much, it was odd, but not concerning. Now, the way you ogled her, that, raised my eyebrow.”
She paced some more, condemning you with each stride. “I knew that look, it’s the same look I sport when Tems uploads a new photo. But it was not quite enough, no. It could be explained away.”
Shuri stopped, regarding Riri’s puzzled exterior before turning her focus to you. “And that brings me to my next piece of evidence,” Her fingers lowered the collar on your button-up and you cursed under your breath. “Brother, what do these look like to you?”
He jolted to attention, clearly unaware his input would be warranted. “Um, I believe those are hickeys.”
“Hickeys.” The word rancid on her tongue. “I noticed them when I kissed you goodnight. Now how would my little sister get hickeys on her neck? They weren’t there the day before, but conveniently appeared when Riri arrived.”
“I saw you take her bag as well. Yesterday when you returned, you carried her bag, you may not have thought I saw it, but I did. Shuri, tell them.”
Shuri rolled her eyes at him. “Yes, T’challa saw the stupid bag. The point is we know about you two. We know everything. And there is more.”
“More? What more?” T’challa seemed just as perplexed as you and Riri, eyeing Shuri in anticipation.
She held up her wrist, displaying a rather incriminating video on her beads. T'challa’s gasp was as loud as it was comical. It was of the both of you, in the lab last night. Your mouth on hers, hands in places they shouldn’t have been. Your blush crept up the back of your neck, stretching across the span of your body. You felt it in your stomach, your toes, it even slithered itself into your mouth. Bitter and dry, and scarce of compassion.
“I needed to be sure of my suspicions, so I turned on the cameras before I left. What do you have to say for yourselves? Lying will not save you now, we have seen everything.”
“Everything.” T’challa repeated, waving his finger in your faces.
You locked eyes with your girlfriend again, communicating without words. “Fine. You've caught us.”
“I knew it!”
Shuri’s glower was a bullet of irritation, and she smacked T’challa in the head. “Of course you knew it, genius. I told you this before they arrived.”
“Right. You did, yes.”
Your laugh evaded you before you could stop it and you were met with the same look your brother received. “So you find this funny?”
You shook your head. “Sorry, no. This is all very serious. Serious allegations, serious evidence. Carry on.”
“How long?”
“A few months.”
She squinted. “How many months?”
“Seven.”
They both widened their eyes at your confession, and T’challa slapped his hand over his mouth, bewildered. “You have been lying to us for seven months?!?! So this started before you returned to America?”
Her question darted to Riri, and she waited expectantly for an answer. “Yes.”
Your brother shook his head, mirroring Shuri because of course he did. “You are too young to be involved with anyone.”
“Exactly. I forbid it.” Shuri threw her hands up as if her word was final. You refuted her statement with a quickness, under no circumstances did she get a say in your love life. Before you knew it, you were in a screaming match with your siblings, a rare occurrence, but you would not back down.
“You can't forbid me from loving your sister Shuri.”
The yelling subsided, three royal heads whipping around to face Riri. You had not expected that, you hadn't expected her to say anything. It was your mess, not hers. Your lies.
“Loving her?”
Riri stepped forward, gripping your fingers tightly, and for the first time, the shock startled you. “I love your sister. I'm in love with her. And if I'm speaking out of turn my bad, but forbidding us from being together ain't gon work because I’m not giving her up, not ever,” She observed them cautiously before continuing.
“Now I understand why there might be cause for concern, I get it, after what y’all went through, being protective is justified. But trust that I wanna protect her too? I want her safe, I want her sound, and I want her loved. I love her so much, too much, and ion wanna have to do that in secret. I don't wanna have to hide. Because your sister deserves more than that.”
T’challa was the first to wipe his tears. “Shuri, maybe we are being too harsh. They seem happy, hmm?”
“Was that rehearsed or did it all just come to you right now?” Her unrelenting glare was beginning to falter.
“Can't rehearse how I feel Shuri, I just… feel.”
Shuri's watchful eyes were on you, you felt them, but you only had the strength to focus on one thing, so you chose Riri. Her words rearranged every cell in your body, rendering you entirely and utterly speechless. Coherence was a thing you no longer knew as you stood dumbfounded, watching her, learning her all over again. For a moment you zoned out, forgetting where you were and how you’d gotten there.
“And what have you to say, Sister?”
“I-I love her too. She means everything to me. She is my person. I choose Riri, I will always choose Riri.” Gazing into her eyes felt different this time, more honest, more open; though they sucked you in all the same.
Shuri gagged. “You two are gross, but I suppose I can allow this, seeing as I trust you both,” She turned to Riri then. “But if you ever hurt her, and I mean in any way, I will create a virus so complex and otherworldly to infiltrate and destroy every piece of technology you own, including your suit. Maybe even while you're in it, zipping around in the sky. Then bam!"
She slammed her fist on a table with force, cracking it in half and you both jumped, blinking in disbelief. T'challa's snicker was muffled behind you and you shot him a look.
"Just because we are friends doesn't mean I won't demolish you in the name of my little sister. I will end you, in every way I know how. And trust that I know many.”
Riri gulped, clearly shaken by Shuri’s tone shift. “That's fair, I respect that.”
“Now I may not be as harsh with my words as my little sister, but I do agree with everything that was just stated. Do we have an understanding?” Your brother’s hands were on Riri’s shoulders and she bobbed her head. “Good. You two may go, enjoy the rest of your weekend, I will deal with Shuri. Make sure she calms down.”
You wasted no time, scurrying off and onto the elevator, wanting desperately to escape your siblings.
•••
The evening breeze was brisk, and it cooled your tea as you watched the city lights flicker on. The sweet aroma of her leave-in conditioner greeted you before she did, wafting deep inside your nose and clinging to your senses. You smiled when she emerged on your balcony.
“We suck at being in a secret relationship.” Riri sat in your lap and you gripped her waist.
“Absolutely horrible at it.” Her eyes were the softest you'd ever seen them, leaking with vulnerability and want. “Perhaps our love is not meant to be concealed, mtuwam.”
Her lips curved upward, delighted by your admission. “Say more words like that.”
“I want to love you in the open. I want the world to know you are mine and I am yours, truly and fully.”
“Damn. You real good at that. Almost makes me wanna kiss you.”
Her words made you scoff, as they were intended to, and she laughed. “Almost?”
“Kinda scared to do anything now after your crazy ass siblings just jumped me.”
Your own laugh bellowed out, causing her to dip her head into the crook of your neck. “If I am remembering correctly, they cornered us both.”
“And who got threatened with an ‘otherworldly’ virus? Me or you? You ain't tell me Shuri was kinda…”
“What? Insane? I'm sure I've mentioned this over my many rants about her aforementioned insanity.”
She glared at you, and you smirked. “Seeing it for myself was different. I ain't believe you for real.”
“That's truly something, I'm glad we are in agreement, but can you please kiss me now? Or do you want me to tell them you've been denying me, and you’ve hurt me?”
Riri grabbed your cheeks and scrunched her nose. So, so cute. “Shut up.” Her lips were on yours moments after, and her tongue was in your mouth. The kiss was rough, it was passionate, and it warmed your insides better than your long-forgotten tea ever could on this chilly night.
A clap of thunder gave you déjà vu and you two pulled away. The stars competed with the shine in her eyes, losing terribly. You were bathing in rain soon after as she pulled you in again.
When the showers became too much, you carried her inside, tossing her damp body onto your bed before getting on top of her and connecting your foreheads.
She giggled as she held your wet face in place. “Convenient how it always rains when we on that balcony of yours.”
“Perhaps it is all my doing. To get you out of your clothing of course.”
She leaned up to whisper in your ear. “You don't need rain for that baby.”
“Ndikuthanda kakhulu, Riri Williams.”
And she grinned, wider than ever, basking in the tangible feeling of said love. “Right back at ya.”

I think a romantic or even platonic Tony vs Steve rivalry is hella underrated, especially during Civil War! Do ya mind writing a concept about it? Thx! <3
Of course! I'll keep it around the Civil War era yet I'll talk about a general idea of it. Been awhile since I saw Civil War so I did what I could do :)
Yandere! Tony Stark vs Steve Rogers
(Civil War Era)
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic - Rivalry
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Overprotective, Manipulation, Tracking, Kidnapping, Trust issues, Violence, Dubious relationship, Trauma mention, Isolation, Attempted murder, Possessive behavior.
Tumblr media
For this I'll be focusing more on the chaos this pair causes rather than how you meet the two.
You could meet in many ways, honestly if you somehow have connections with one of them you most likely know about the other.
Out of all the times this rivalry could take place, this is the most intense time.
The Avengers are already being torn apart by different ideals... with you in the picture?
You will not know peace.
Tony wants you on his side as he feels he can protect you better if he supports the Sokovia Accords.
Superhuman accidents would be monitored and with his tech you'd surely be safer than with Steve.
Steve's always been one for freedom and feels he would be limited if he agreed with Tony.
As a result he feels you'd be in danger if there wasn't anyone to help you... which makes him want you to join him.
They both have similar ideas at their core.
They're heroes... they want to protect the people...
They want to protect you.
The two can't agree or share in the slightest.
It would be better for you if you distanced yourself from the situation as best you can.
In fact, going into hiding is definitely better.
They'd both be desperate to have you on their own side.
Tony may try to bribe you while Steve does genuine attempts to convince you.
Tony feels Steve wouldn't protect you.
Steve feels Tony would restrict your freedom (which is ironic).
They would fight verbally and physically.
You just become another reason they can't agree, tearing apart The Avengers even more.
There would be differences in the rivalry depending on who you side with.
>> Choosing Team Captain America
If you choose Steve, you have to deal with Tony's team hunting you down.
Steve's protective and caring with you.
He brings you into hiding with him and Bucky, promising to protect you both.
His best friend... and his darling....
Steve asks Sam, Clint, Scott and Wanda to defend you and Bucky with him.
He knows damn well how Tony feels about your decision.
The man is no doubt pissed.
Steve's right.
Tony gets his team to scan everywhere for you.
He can't believe you!
He offers you protection and you go with Steve?
Unbelievable!
Tony isn't going to rest until he finds where you and Steve are.
Meanwhile... Steve tries to reassure you that you made the right choice.
With a comforting yet eerily possessive hold, Steve promises he'll never let you go.
Even if it requires him to have blood on his hands.
>> Choosing Team Iron Man
If you choose to side with Tony, you now have to deal with Steve's team.
Tony praises you for your choice and gets straight to business.
He's caring yet a bit more cold... he's stressed about Steve and his war criminal friends.
Tony is more paranoid due to trauma and locks you up in a secluded building he has.
He claims it's for your own safety and it appears he's one of the more unstable of the MCU yanderes.
Would you rather be caught by Steve? It's too dangerous, baby....
The isolation is much better for you.
You won't be alone... after all, he's here.
If he isn't? Then there's James, T'challa, Natasha, Vision, and even Peter to help him.
You're under much higher security with Tony, yet not much freedom.
Steve would try his best to locate you but it may take longer.
No matter who you choose... at some point the two team will clash and you may even be traded among them.
You'll get tired of it fast.
Tony and Steve get violent towards each other.
You're surprised they haven't killed each other yet.
In fact... they just might go through with it.
For plot reasons they may not entirely murder each other.
Their respective teams will prevent that...
But they REALLY try.
They may just come to the conclusion the only way to guarantee your safety is to... get rid of the other.
Safe to say they've lost their minds due to the stress and obsession rooted in their mind.
Steve doesn't like the idea of killing Tony... but he has to defend himself and you, no?
Meanwhile... Tony?
Tony's so self-absorbed he doesn't care if Steve is thrown in jail or dies.
He just needs to be out of the picture.
By the end of Civil War, one of them will emerge "victorious".
It could be either of them.
By the end of it... you just want to rest.
You just want to be alone.
Yet... you'll be stuck with one of them in the end.
They both say they want to protect you...
But is their protection really what's best for you?

After seeing disagreeable claims critiquing the end of Wakanda Forever float around for the nth time, I felt like organizing my qualms and putting them neatly into another blog. These are just my musings.
"Shuri should've killed Namor! Sparing him was wrong!" I apologize for my harsh phrasing, but this is a horrible and brainless take, especially when it's from begrudged shippers or anti-Wakanda Forever recasters 😭. Whenever I see it, I can't help but wonder if anyone who says this or agrees genuinely likes and (especially) understands Namor and/or Shuri's actual characters. And no, I do not mean the surface aesthetic of or attraction to them.
If you knew and understood what kind of character Shuri (at least in the MCU) is, you would know why she spared Namor's life after nearly taking it. If you understood the important messages carefully baked into the film, you'd understand the writing choice of Shuri sparing Namor and Namor not being the "incorrigible villain who deserves death."
Asking the silly question of why she didn't kill him in the form of critique, or worse, saying she should have or somehow should give him hell after the fact (fortunately, a regressive immaturity neither character has), is a clear show of media illiteracy. It neglects both characters and at least one pillar theme of Wakanda Forever. If Shuri killed Namor, Talokan and Wakanda would unnaturally be eating away at each other for eternity, allowing the surface colonist nations to swoop in as the destabilization process was done for them. The true villains and enemies that put them in that situation where they collided with one another would gain access to their vibranium and technology. Game over.
Shuri Was Never In Her "Villain Era"
The simple answer, Shuri is not Wanda Maximoff 😊. Goodnight. (Author's note because someone was troubled by this tongue and cheek remark: I don't hate Wanda at all. I meant what I wrote: Shuri is not Wanda, just Wakandan. People want her to be Wanda and have a Wanda arc when she is not and will not. 🫡)
Even at the lowest of her low, Shuri is no villain. Shuri was just a young woman trying to find what kind of leader she was in the midst of grief, inner turmoil, and human anger. I don't know why some fans say she had a "villain era" or want her to canonically have a "villain era," but ok. That is not Shuri, nor would it have filled the hole in Shuri's heart, as said by Nakia. It was not just because it endangered Wakanda and would spearhead them in an eternal war either. Although, that is reason enough for Shuri not to kill Namor.
Who Princess Shuri Truly Is
Princess Shuri is a natural healer, teacher, and creator. Shuri loves, designs, creates, innovates, builds, and protects. Shuri has people who would die for her and trusts her to make the right choice in the end, faithfully standing beside her even when they recognize that the trajectory she currently set them on wasn't a good one. Why do you think this is? Because they know and trust Shuri. They know her brain is as big as her heart.
Tumblr media
Shuri is not inherently destructive. That was the uncharacteristic result of her gripe with death (thinking it meant gone) and destructive handling of her grief. Ryan Coogler even pointed out how Shuri's state was unhealthy and dangerous. Shuri and Namor were both grieving and asking themselves painful questions.
That is why Killmonger is who appears to her. Killmonger is a violent, radical character (made that way by neglect, grief, loss, militaristic molding, and the suffering African Americans face) who almost carelessly sent Wakanda spiraling into mayhem. He became the people he hated, in the wise words of T'Challa, and was an unworthy king, in the wise words of Shuri. If such a man is comparing himself to Shuri and is who her subconscious elicited on the Ancestral Plane (which Shuri seems to be taking to her grave now, refusing to tell Nakia), maybe she's not doing alright? Just a thought!
This is also why Ramonda took her out by the river. It's why M'Baku said what he said at Ramonda's funeral. It is so she can mourn properly. So she could heal properly. Something she wasn't doing since the day T'Challa died.
Killing Namor would've destroyed her, not just her people. It wouldn't have sated her despite in her rightful anger, feeling it would. It would've just sent her past a point of no return.
"Show him who you are." Ramonda told her this after she struggled on her own with killing Namor. Why do you think Shuri hesitated even without Ramonda's influence (which was just her presence and reminding Shuri who she already was) yet? It didn't feel "right" to Shuri as their moment together (watching the Talokan sunrise), how Namor paralleled her, and how their people were alike flew through her mind's eye. Shuri hesitated, not because she was "soft" or "nonsensical mushy writing." Shuri saw what they were and what this was. She thought beyond herself. As Editor Michael P. Shawver said, Namor's line of, "only the most broken people can become great leaders" is what they focused on. It is what Shuri finally realizes at the bitter end. They relate. The narrative, characters, and actors all recognize this; I don't see how some audience members do not.
She and Namor were perpetuating the destructive cycle of grief and vengeance while setting that example for their people, but she was strong enough to pull herself up and break that chain. Then she offered her his hand for the sake of not only themselves, but their people. She saw firsthand the beauty of Talokan. Like Namor admired Wakanda in the beginning, she admired Talokan. She remembered her visit to Talokan in the mix of her nation's beauty.
"Vengance has consumed us. We cannot let it consume our people."
Not "my" people. Not "your" people. Our people.
Shuri realized many simple yet, at the same time, humanly complicated truths of how they had connectivity and were broken, trying to be the best leaders they could be. Neither of them was the villain but are what they were due to the bitter hand life dealt them and the situations they faced.
The Real Theme of Black Panther's Wakanda Forever
This movie also had clear themes of:
A) how POC/indigenous infighting sucks and is counterproductive
B) connectivity of black and brown, from culture to shared wounds
C) the scars of colonialization
Shuri killing Namor would defeat the carefully woven narrative and betray all these well-built things. I know some of you guys don't like to hear this, but Namor is not of the archetype of Killmonger, nor is he the real "villain," so he was handled accordingly.
“We talked to so many experts and really made relationships with them, because there was a lot to go through,” says Beachler. “There are a lot of parallels between Africans and Latin Americans as far as the colonization of their communities and cities, the enslavement of their people, the lies that were told about their culture, the misinterpretation of their words, and the ways they were made out to look demonized in order to elevate a European country.”
Shuri Getting Her Lick Back
"Shuri should've beaten Namor until-" or "She let him off the hook unpunished!" If you paid attention to the movie, you'd see she literally beat him within an inch of his life? She definitely did get her lick back just as Namor got his. Wanting her to get "more" licks after the fact is regressive.
Shuri:
isolated and trapped Namor to weaken and drain his energy
ferally clawed both of his wings, taking out his ability to fly
made him bleed and bruised him up
roasted him in a firey explosion, effectively charring him and rendering him temporarily paralyzed
Shuri didn't play patty cake with him; she made an immortal bleed and fear death. She had him gasping for air on his back at the mercy of her spear tip. She made him yield and call off the troops. She made an ally out of him on her terms who exalted her strength and is currently bandaged up, flightless, and awaiting to aid her (rather than striking first, waging war as originally wanted). It's more than enough and was the best course of action. What do you mean? What are you talking about?

@ask-the-mistress-of-the-elements
Ororo hears T'Challa scream and runs into the torpedo loading area of the submarine, "what's wrong, dear husband?!"
Namor had heard of their plans and was upset for two reasons, one that they hadn't run their plans by him since they're traveling through his domain, and two that they had gotten the information from one of his spies and he was the last to find out about it, but all that aside he was upset that Shuri was headed into a fight without him to protect her.
He'd climbed into the torpedo launcher and knocked on the door to get in, immediately hearing screaming from the other side and assuming he'd started Shuri or Ororo
“Something just knocked from the torpedo bay. I think it is inside… stay back. I will protect you.” T’challa replies, gently standing between Ororo and the door.
“Oh shit… move over you big baby.” Shuri replies, shoving her brother out of the way. She opens the door and looks up at Namor.
“I didn’t think.” She says before he can speak.

Imagine being Shuri's ex and almost dying
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the death of her brother you did everything in your power to be there for Shuri, and bring her comfort.
She wanted space. You gave it to her.
She needed a shoulder to cry on. You gave her yours without question.
She needed someone to her anger out on. You took whatever she threw at you without retaliation.
It was safe too say that your relationship wasn't the healthiest for a while, and although you tried to downplay the issues. Everyone close to her and you could see the relationship going downhill. Okoye told you many times to sit down with the Princess, and talk things out. Queen Ramonda corrected Shuri's behavior and treatment of you many times, even going so far as to have her removed from. The lab during a particular bad argument and making her spend sometime with you till the matter was settled. But they could only do so much to help keep the love between you and Shuri alive.
At the end of the day it was on you two to make sure the relationship didn't fall apart. Shuri continued to bury herself in technology, and you let her distracting yourself by accompanying the Dora Milaje on numerous missions. The distractions only worked for so long especially considering you had given up the hero life. Years ago to be with Shuri, and relocate from America to Wakanda.
It was a huge sacrifice to make on your part but you didn't mind it one bit. You had spent your entire life training, fighting, and protecting the world. Never knowing what it was like to be able to wake in peace and in comfort of a place you called home. After you refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, and T'Challa offered you a refuge in Wakanda. You accepted and then laid eyes on Shuri who had a little obsession with your backstory. The teenage Avenger with the power of molecular manipulation who had no idea where she came from.
After the Battle of Thanos was over you were given the opportunity to return to America with a clean slant, and resume your Avenger duties. But you turned the offer down and chose to continue to reside in Wakanda with your Princess. At the time it was the best decision you'd ever made, but now with Shuri constantly ignoring you and your worries, never coming to bed at night, and barely even looking let alone touching you. It had you thinking that maybe it was time to move on, and give her some real alone time.
Everything came to head on the anniversary night of you two getting together. Shuri had actually made it to bed the night before, and that morning. She insisted that you stay in Wakanda, and clear your schedule for the night. Because she had something planned for the two of you. There was a happy tone to her voice that you hadn't heard in months since her brother's death, and her steps were a bit lighter. You thought that she was finally starting to truly heal from the pain, and listened to her. But when nightfall came Shuri was nowhere to be found, and you gave her the whole night to come. Once a hour before midnight hit you made your way to the lab knowing that's where she was hold up at.
Her back was to you as she was focused on the equation on the screen in front of her. When you exited the elevator, but that was no problem in her hand was a vial of liquid. You pointed a finger feeling for the molecules in the air, and brought the temperature down. The liquid froze into a solid, and Shuri glanced down at it before looking over her shoulder to see. You standing there with your arms crossed over your chest, and one foot tapping the floor.
"Let me guess you came upon something big, and it was too important for you take a break before finishing." You said with a small shrug.
"Well if you already know then why are you here?" She asked trying to seem unbothered, but the hint of worry in her tone didn't go unheard. Shuri knew she had messed up big time.
"I'm here to ask a question that's needs to be asked." You said letting your arms fall to your side as a sign of defeat. Usually you would come down here and hear whatever excuse she had. Then she would apologize profusely promising to make it up to you, and the two of you would proceed to kiss and make-up. But you were tired of that repetitive routine since nothing ever changed afterwards. The two of you just went on letting the cycle repeat itself again and again.
Now you had her attention and watched as Shuri turned around to fully face you. She placed the vial of frozen liquid on the table along with the pen tucked in her ear. "And what question would that be?"
"Why are we still together?"
Before you could even finish her face fell, and she took a step back. She started fiddling with her kimoyo beads while staring at the floor in deep thought. She was starting to spiral and you knew it. This is why you didn't want to have the conservation. Deep down you knew without a doubt in your heart that Shuri still loved you, but was just going through a lot. The Princess was more focused on keeping you safe from any future threats or diseases than spending time with you. Plus she didn't want to deal with the grief that came with T'Challa's death.
You knew you couldn't let her or your relationship go on like this. Something had to give and unfortunately you felt like it had to be you. "Shuri I can't do this anymore I love you and I always will but this isn't working." You whispered your voice so low it was a miracle she heard you.
Her focus finally seemed to come back in play as she walked over to you wrapping an arm around your waist. She pulled your body to hers leaving no space, and placing a hand on your cheek. "Hey hey now come on there's no reason to be so hasty mmmhmm." She said with a light chuckle, and leaned forward pressing a kiss to your forehead.
You closed your eyes at the feel of her lips on your skin savoring the moment. Because you knew this would be the last time you would feel those lips. You made a promise to yourself to not back out of this decision no matter what before you came down here. Tears managed to break free of your closed eyes, and slide down your face.
Shuri wiped them away and peppered more kisses on your face till eventually her mouth settled by your ear. "My love please I'll get better okay I promise we can work it out." The pain in her voice struck you like a dagger in the heart.
You opened your eyes to find her's filled with desperation. "Shuri I chose you over everything and everyone else in my life, because you were home to me. Do you get that?"
Shuri nodded burying her face into your shoulder in attempt to muffle her sobbing.
"Shuri you don't feel like home to me anymore. Nothing about this place does, and I hate feeling like this. I'm going back to America to resume my Avenger status for the time being."
Her arm tightened around your waist constricting until your breath hitched. You let her hold you, and cry until she ran out of tears. Shuri couldn't find any words because she knew there was nothing to say. That she hadn't already said in the past back when it worked. This time those words were going to fall deaf on your ears. You weren't going to believe her, and what hurt the most was that this time. Shuri was going to mean it she really would've changed in order to convince you to stay, but it was too late.
Months Later
It'd almost been a year since your breakup with Shuri, and not a day didn't go by. Where you didn't think about her heck you still kept the kimoyo beads on, and wore the necklace with a little black panther charm on it. Shuri gifted it too you on your first year anniversary, and when you tried to give it back. She insisted that you keep it said it would make her feel better. If you had a piece of her with you wherever you went, and it brought you comfort too.
But you were now in a much healthier place in your life especially emotionally and mentally. You did go back to being an Avenger which meant just picking up random missions from whoever requested your help. Some jobs paid more well than others while sometimes there was no payment at all. It didn't matter to you because nothing was more fulfilling than helping people who really needed it. As for teammates right now there really wasn't a official Avengers team, and everyone was kinda scattered. Some were in space like Carol and Thor, some were to busy dealing with threats beyond this world like Doctor Strange, and some just didn't seem to want help like Spider-Man.
One night you ended up thwarting a robbery attempt, and the guy swung in helping you take them down. As if it was muscle memory or something you went in for a high five afterwards, and he froze. Unsure of what you did wrong you put in a call to the cops, and left. A day later Spider-Man tracked you down while he was on patrol, and just asked if you could keep your distance.
You found his behavior to be a little weird but nonetheless you respected it, and just moved on. Bucky and Sam were your go-to for partnerships whenever you needed back-up. You worked well with both of them not to mention. The sibling like relationship both of them had with you before you went to Wakanda. No one was more happy to have you back than those two were. And they never let you forget sometimes having a habit of arguing of who would accompany you on a mission. If it only required one of their assistance.
On your most current mission Bucky had won the coin toss, but you were starting to think. You should've just brought both of them as you were surrounded from all of sides in a room with no escape.
"Y/N what's your status?"
"I'm on the first floor but I'm surrounded" You spoke into the comms.
"Alright just hold them off okay I'm on the third floor making my way to you now. I might have to get through a few guys but I shouldn't be too long" Bucky replied. From the way you could hear his breathing it sounded like he was winded. Which was quite the feat to get tire out the super solider. Most likely he was outnumbered just as much as you were, but didn't want you to panic.
"Take it easy old man I don't need you passing out in exhaustion on me. I can handle these guys" You reassured him cracking your knuckles.
"Hey y/n" he said
"Yeah" You answered bouncing on your feet in anticipation.
"If you get hurt, hurt'em back, and if you get killed walk it off" Bucky told you.
You could picture the playful smile on his face as he recited one of Steve's old speeches from so long ago. You often told Bucky of your time with Steve, and every now and then. He would try to relive those moments with you. It was one of the things you missed the most after leaving the Avengers.
"Thanks Buck but I don't think this situation compares to that one even a little bit." You said shaking your head.
"Fine just make sure these guys don't get back up."
"Now that I can do."
After that both of you cease communication for the time being as the fight started on both sides. You threw out both of your hands calling upon your power to encase all of the agents in front of you a sheet of ice. Then you made your through all of them breaking them free of their ice prison with a kick to the abdomen, or a punch to the face. Sam always joked you got the move from Sub-Zero after playing Mortal Kombat one too many times.
He was right.
The agents started throwing themselves at you in an effort to overwhelm and take you down faster. But with a flick of your wrist the shoes on their feet exploded throwing the to the floor. You went low, and knocked the one who did reach down with a leg sweep. You slammed his head into the ground before he could recover rendering him unconscious. Out of the corner of your eye you caught three more coming from the right, and you whirled this time slowing down their approach with your powers. All of their bodies started moving as slow as possible. Their eyes began to widen in surprise mixed with fear, but even that action was slow.
You rolled over coming up in front of them and delivered a harsh kick to one's stomach. Releasing your molecular hold on him upon impact with his body back in full and fast motion. He flew back into the air landing in a heap. You repeated the move with other two, and once again caused some items on other agents too combust. Throwing them into the wall or into each other with the move. Even though the fight was going well for you right now you were tiring yourself out by using your powers so much. In an effort to preserve your strength you pulled your daggers from the holster on your jeans.
Having been trained by the almighty combat trio of the Avengers. Natasha, Steve, and Clint your fighting skills were unmatched and you had no problem taking these guys down. But when you finally did get to the big bad of the henchmen. It was pretty obvious for one he was dressed a bit different than others, and for two he didn't rush you either. He stood back watching you flip his last standing man over your shoulder.
"Ready for a real challenge Avenger" he asked with a evil grin showing all his teeth.
"For your sake I hope you actually mean that" You told him rolling your shoulders.
He didn't respond instead he just pulled a pair of knives from the belt in his pants, and gave them a quick twirl like a pro. They were smaller than your daggers, and probably weaker considering yours were made of vibranium. Another gift for Shuri before the war with Thanos's alien army.
You attacked first slashing in a wide arc aiming for his face. He blocked your dagger with his knife, and the blade held but a crack did appear. His hand trembled with effort as your blade was just inches from his cheek. You smirked and brought your other dagger forward toward his stomach, and he jumped back breaking contact. You followed keeping him on the defense as he dodged and knocked your blade away multiple times.
He was good but you were obviously better, so of course he did what any bad guy would do to get the upper hand. He cheated and dropped one of his knives. You frowned in confusion as he tucked and rolled away. The agent came up swung around throwing something at your face. You crossed your bladed together bringing them up to to block what you thought was a knife.
It was dirt.
Your daggers did keep some of it out of your face, but of course the tiny dust particles manage to slip past them entering your eyes. They stung and for just a second you dropped your guard letting out a groan. "Seriously dude what are you fi-" Your protest was cut off as a gasp of shock and pain left your mouth. You blinked through the pain too look down he was crouched before you with his knife buried into your stomach. You stared down a the knife in disbelief. Had you really been taken down with such a childish move?
He looked up catching your eyes as he gave the knife a hard twist. Your insides lit up with pain and you gaped like a fish trying to find your voice.
"Hmph some Avenger you are" he commented.
With the last of your little bit of strength you gripped the dagger in your hand, and plunge it into his neck. The blade went in and came out on the other side smoothly. He didn't even get the chance to gurgle before his body fell to the floor. He was dead, and you were halfway there.
The strength in your legs went first as you stumbled back and hit the floor on your butt. Your hand ventured to the injury, and came away slick with blood. You were bleeding but it was under control for now unless there was internal bleeding going on. Right now keeping the blade inside was the only thing preventing you from dying fast of blood lost. So you simply dragged yourself over to a wall to rest up against to wait for Bucky to come. Your comms had been lost in the fight, and were probably smashed to pieces anyway.
You were barely managing to stay conscious as the minutes went by, your mind wander everywhere trying not to stay focus on the blinding pain. You thought about your past and how someone literally left you on the doorstep of some Shield agent. In the beginning Nick Fury was just going to hand you over to the nearest adoption center, but then you cried and just about everything in his kitchen exploded. He knew right then you were something special, and he took you in as his own. Then your train of thought switched over to your love Shuri, and your heart broke realizing what dying here would mean for her. You had always believed deep down the two of you would your way back to each other. She actually started to send you letters a month ago asking you to come visit Wakanda.
You never wrote back or gave her answer in any form afraid of giving up the peace. It took you so long to find after your breakup with her, but now you were regretting not responding more than anything.
Bast, God, I don't whatever higher power is listening to me right now. Please don't let this be the end for me please you prayed silently to yourself.
"Y/N are down here" Bucky yelled. From the sound of it he was only a few halls away from your location.
You attempted to call out to him but instead broke out coughing. Blood sputtered from the cough coating your pants, and the floor around you. Bucky must have heard it because you could hear his thundering footsteps approaching. A few more seconds later he appeared in the doorway eyes scanning the room till they landed on you. "Y/N" he screamed your name running over and dropping to his knees beside you. His hand hovered the knife buried in your stomach as he observed the injury.
You were so tired and it was becoming so much harder to keep your eyes open. Your head fell back against the wall as you gasped his name.
He brought his hand to your face gently bringing it back down so you could meet his gaze. "Hey stay with me now you're going to be okay. This is nothing alright I've seen worse."
"Maybe for a super solider" you murmured.
Bucky let out a laugh void of all emotions as he pressed his forehead to yours. "You can't die here okay if you do Ayo is going to kill me, and take back the arm for good this time. Do you want that y/n? I mean imagine it me running around here fighting with one arm."
You let out a painful chuckle at the image, and at the thought of all the jokes Sam would make at his expense. "The government would give you a new one" You manage to say.
"Yeah but it wouldn't be made of vibranium" He shot back.
"Forget Ayo killing you Shuri is going to kill me" You whispered letting your head drift to the side.
Then it really hit Bucky why it was so important that you didn't die. He wasn't kidding about Ayo killing him if you died on his watch after all. She was the one who reached out to him begging him to look after up for the sake of Shuri. It's not that Ayo doubted your ability to protect yourself. It was just she knew how dangerous being an Avenger was, and could sleep a little better knowing someone had your back all the time. And there was one thing Ayo and everyone else was sure of. If you died in the field Princess Shuri would blame herself, and would never move on from it.
Bucky was calling out your name again as darkness filled your vision. He wanted you to heat up the injury saying it would buy you a little more time. You barely registered the request but your brain was in survival mode, and some part of you comprehend what he wanted. The last thing you remembered was the feeling of being lifted into his arms.
Bucky put his super solider speed to the test running back to the quinjet. That you had decided to park a mile away in order to hide your guys's arrival. He was starting to regret that decision with you limp in his arms with shallow breathing. Even though the scene before him was nearly a blur as he moved. Bucky still felt like he wasn't running fast enough until finally the quinjet was in sight. Once he was on the inside he placed you on the medical table, and strapped you to it.
He tried to work your kimoyo beads in an effort to alert Shuri of what was going on, but they were deactivated. Thanks to you and in his worried mindset Bucky couldn't think of how to turn them back on. So instead he got the quinjet into the air and set course for Wakanda. The only place with a genius scientist that could save your life right now. Auto-pilot was turned on giving him the freedom to call Ayo over and over. His calls were going unanswered which didn't surprise him at all. Ayo had cut off contact with him after the whole Zemo thing, and even though he understood why. Bucky didn't think it would take her this long to forgive him.
When she showed up out of the blue and asked him to watch over you. That was the first time he had seen and spoken to her since the incident, and just like that nothing but radio silence again. But now Bucky would keep calling until he got through to her Wakanda wouldn't open their borders to him alone.
Finally on the twelfth call she surprisingly picked up "James this better be good I'm busy."
"Ayo" he cried with a crack in his voice. He tried to keep his composure but the fear was starting to settle in.
His distress got her attention and put her on alert. "James what's wrong?
"Its y/n she's hurt and it's bad I'm on my way now she doesn't have much time left. I don't know where els-"
"Bring her to us I will notify the Princess now hurry James" Ayo ordered cutting him off. Even though it was subtle he could hear her falter.
Pushing the quinjet well beyond its limits worked, and he managed to reach Wakanda within record time. Somehow you were still clinging to life but just barely. Bucky didn't stop till the quinjet was in the landing zone of the palace. He lifted you back into his arms and exited the jet. A medical team was waiting for him with a hovering sand table. He laid you on it as gently as possible, and watched as they rushed back inside with your body.
Bucky wasn't sure if his presence was wanted and turned to go back to the aircraft. But someone caught him by the hand making him pause to look back.
It was Ayo with a woman standing a few feet behind her. He didn't recognize her, but could tell by her demeanor that the two of them were close. Tears were pooled up in Ayo's eyes and she blinked them away. "Stay."
If he didn't have super hearing the plea wouldn't have reached his ears. Bucky nodded and proceeded to follow them into the palace.
The lab was thrown into chaos as Shuri ordered everyone out the second the medical team arrived with you in tow. Ayo told her you had been injuried and needed immediate medical attention. She hadn't said anything about you practically being on death's door. Maybe she assumed Shuri was better off not knowing how serious your condition was. That she would better be prepared and in a better mindset to carry out the medical procedure on her ex-lover.
But nothing could prepare Shuri to see you lying on the sand table before her barely alive. The tools shook in her grip and she paused at the hilt of the knife. If she failed then once again she would lose someone she loved. When their lives were trusted within her hands. She couldn't go through that again.
"Shuri" a familiar voice said from behind her.
Shuri was so far gone in her thoughts she didn't recognize it and turned around to snap. "I told you all to get out."
It was her mother and her daughter's rebuttal didn't faze her in the slightest. Queen Ramonda knew Shuri was gripped with the fear of losing you and needed her support. She walked over and pulled her into a comforting hug. "Don't start doubting the gifts bestowed upon you by Bast herself now. You can do this my child y/n couldn't be in better hands." she told her rubbing her back.
Shuri stayed in her mother's embrace letting the warm feeling overtake all the feelings of worry and doubt. It wasn't until her A.I. system spoke up she pulled away.
"Princess you will need to act now to save y/n's life she doesn't have much time left."
Shuri let her mother wipe away the tears, and then she turned back around to you. This time there was no hesitation as she went to work in safely removing the knife. Griot kept her updated on your vitals, and heart rate. She worked diligently not letting anything throw her off, and Queen Ramonda sat at her workstation a few feet away. Her mother's presence brought her some much needed comfort. At some point Okoye, Ayo, Aneka, and Bucky entered the lab but stayed back not wanting to make her feel any pressure.
It took her one hour to patch up your injury with the help of her technology. But that hour felt like an eternity to her and everyone else. When it was over and Griot announced you were in stable condition. Shuri broke down into tears burying her face into your neck. You were still unconscious and probably wouldn't awake for another two hours at least. But the feel of your breathing and the sound of your steady heartbeat kept her from going insane.
"Please wake up soon my love" she pleaded.
"Is she going to make it?" Bucky asked walking tentatively towards you.
Shuri turned to give him a nod, and let out a grunt when his body collided with hers. As he covered the distance between the two of them with blinding speed. Bucky wrapped his arms around the Princess in a bone-crushing hug lifting her off her feet.
"Are we going to allow this?" Aneka asked her hand balled up into fists at her side. Usually the Doras didn't let anyone get within five feet of the royal family. Let alone touch them.
"We will this time" Okoye told her trying to keep her own tears of joy at bay.
After a while Bucky finally released Shuri and pulled up chairs for both of them to sit in, and wait for you to regain consciousness. Queen Ramonda retired to her room for the night promising to stop by first thing in the morning. Ayo and Aneka stayed in the lab to stand guard while Okoye went with the Queen.
Sometime in the early morning after Shuri had finally relieved the Doras of their duty, so they could go home and rest up. When Bucky was fast asleep in his chair despite how uncomfortable it had to be, and Shuri was the only awake but just barely sitting by your side with chin in her hand. Your eyes blinked open and you grumbled something looking around. "Shuri" you whispered a little confused.
She sat up a bit straighter at the sound of your voice, and looked down. A cry of relief left her mouth as she leaned down pressing her forehead to yours. "My love you're awake."
"Is this real?" You asked.
She nodded "you know you didn't have to try and get yourself killed to visit me right."
"Well you know me and my big ego" You joked letting a small smile take form on your face.
Just like that the dam broke and Shuri burst into tears moving to bury her face into the uninjured part of your chest. You brought a hand to ran your fingers through her curls. Your touch was a bit weak but it was real, and reminded both of you that you were still alive. Which was all that reminded.
"I'm alive Shuri it's okay" You soothed her. She lifted her face from your chest and captured your lips in a desperate kiss. Her lips moves slowly against yours as both of you savored the feeling. She kissed you like it was the last time she was ever going to be able to do it. She kissed you as if the entire world was ending. She kissed you like you were dying, because for a second Shuri was sure that she would lose you. When your lips finally parted from yours they were swollen a bit, and both of you were out of breath. If it wasn't for your heart rate spiking as your lungs begged for air. Shuri wouldn't have pulled away.
"Never again don't leave me ever again" Shuri pleaded to you.
"Nothing could take me away from you my love" You swore.
Shuri stood up and climbed onto the sand table. You scooted over into her awaiting arms, and rested your head on her chest. With her arms secured around your waist Shuri laid back. It didn't take long for either of you to fall asleep knowing that even after all this time. Your love for each other was very much still alive, and although it would take a lot to repair the relationship. Both of you wanted nothing more than to be together again.

𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐢 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫. ʰᵉᵃᵈᶜᵃⁿᵒⁿˢ
Tumblr media
pairings : big sister!shuri x fem!reader x big brother!t'challa
warnings : ooc characters(?).
authors note : this is not a ship fanfic. everything is completely platonic, just pure sibling relationship<3.
Tumblr media
GROWING UP !
— you were only 2 years younger than shuri, so of course, it wasn't difficult for you two to get along.
— compared to your sister, you didn't have very strong ambitions. But even so, you were taught how to rule a nation by your mother when you were younger, and when you were prepared enough, she took you to train to be a Dora Milaje member.
— you were a fairly calm and obedient child back then, and even since you grew into a fine woman.
— you didn't have an interest in fighting whatsoever, but it did cross your mind that you'd end up needing the skills to fight. But you didn't complain and go against your mother.
— there weren't that much things that interested you as a kid. Your sister and brother often picked on you(playfully) for it.
— shuri even tried to get you to be interested in her ambitions, saying that it's 'fun' and 'an opportunity to learn something new'.
— you weren't adventurous, smart like shuri, nor would you be strong like t-challa. Sometimes, as you grew older, you think if you could've done something more than just train to be in an elite group. But despite those, something sparked inside you and motivated you to be the strongest amongst all the members of the Dora Milaje.
BONDING WITH SHURI !
some big brother t'challa scenes<3
— it's awfully loud when there's two of you in the same room. Like seriously, it's just filled with Shuri laughing at your jokes. Everyone sees you as 'the calmer one of the siblings' but boy.. when you're with those 'siblings' its like someone released a whole mammal out their cage.
— despite not understanding half she's saying, you still go visit shuri in her lab to keep her company. She's just yapping to you about what she's doing, while you just nodded, pretending like you understood what the hell she's saying.
•   "(name)? Are you listening or no?"
•   "I am. But I don't understand."
•   "It's fine, at least you're listening."
— whenever her brother is doing something, or is busy, you'd be the one training her some fighting abilities. You aren't as skilled like your brother, goodness no, he's the black panther for Pete's sake, but you are strong. Somewhat.
— shuri always supports and cheers for you whenever you're about to go to your training. Boy, the proudness she felt when she was told that you were slowly beginning to be more skilled the passing days. She's not lying, Okoye said it herself.
— tackles you in hugs almost everytime she's overly enthusiastic to see you.
•   "Stop that. You act like our rooms aren't next to eachother."
•   "I missed you!"
•   "we see eachother everyday!"
— okay but listen to this. The over protectiveness that randomly summoned inside her when she heard that you were getting marriage proposals.
"atrocious!" You and your mother deadpanned at her reaction, side eyeing eachother blankly. "(name), whatever you must do, do not even look at those proposals, okay?!"
— yeah it was a wild experience.
— besides that, shuri is a great sister. She loves you but literally acts like she's the youngest. Seriously, you mightve heard that she's older and you're younger, but when you see these two and know the personally, you'll end up doubting yourself.
— even your own brother said it himself.
•   "Shuri, stop clinging onto your sister like a wild monkey climbing up a tree."
•   "What?"
•   "brother said to stop climbing me like you're a monkey."
— ooh, have I mentioned that you're a great dancer? If not, you're a very great dancer! Dora Milaje members are probably all great dancers if you must say so yourself.
— growing up, shuri was probably your favorite person who ever walked the soil of earth. And then your brother follows right behind her, and then your parents, and then—
— when it's the three of you combined, it's like the whole definition of the word 'chaos'. In the end of the day, T'challa is tired as hell, Shuri went to drain more of her energy in her lab work, and you? Already fell asleep.
— despite being a whole menace the three of you were, mama Ramonda and papa T'chaka were proud of what you three have achieved.
Tumblr media
i am very tired<\3 still figuring out my layouts for headcanon posts, so this one is kind of messy rnn. this is also my first time writing about sibling relationships, especially in readers pov so I'm sorry if it's cringey oml😭

Thanks again for answering my ask and sorry to bombard you with these.
I absolutely agree with you about Bucky and Zemo on TFatWS. This might be long as I have so many thoughts about this. The series seems to fail to understand T'Calla wasn't just someone who helped Bucky although he was of course. He was his friend. The movies don't get everything right with Bucky but I think Bucky and T'Calla's relationship is one of the high points. We don't see them much but when you do you can tell Bucky respected T'Calla immensely and not just because he's a King. He seems to be really genuinely fond of Shuri as well, asking her to call him Bucky instead of the formal Sargeant Barnes.
I know I said it before, but the Wakandans are his friends/his protectors/his adoptive family. He is not just some white guy with colonialist arrogance who expects favours from the African State. If anything its the other way around- he fought because he felt he owed T'Calla and his family a debt.
As such- I do not think he would ever have helped the person who killed T'Callas father. Yes he didn't know T'Chaka, but that is his friend's father. Its like if he found out someone killed Steve's mother and worked with them. Like slapping his friend in the face, and I can't see him doing that.
Also, finally can we talk about how the show robbed us of the emotional impact of T'Challa's death on Bucky? He's sad about Steve leaving but I firmly believe would have grieved for T'Calla too. He's lost not one but two of his best friends within a very short space of time, so he's got grief alongside all his other problems to deal with. Don't know how that man managed to stay sane. Well relatively sane and didn't have a complete breakdown.
Thanks for all the asks!
I love the idea that T'Challa and Bucky had a strong bond. I agree I think Ryan Coogler intended in that short post-credit scene to show that Wakandans have accepted Bucky as part of the family.
Tumblr media
The kids are peering down curiously at him as he sleeps, and he doesn't startle, nor does he startle them when he wakes. There's a high degree of mutual trust there. He lives in their community, not in a boxed off high tech room like the one where he was put to sleep. They dressed him in their ethnic clothing and colour-coded it to match Steve. Someone tied (and probably combed) his hair for him when he didn't have a prosthesis. Someone has folded a blue shawl and tied it into a pretty sling to protect the stump of his arm. This is the image of a guy that was being well looked after -- not just in an impersonal, we gotta keep him alive kind of way, but in a what can we do to make his life better kind of way, and if that isn't some sort of family I don't know what is.
Tumblr media
I mean...compare with this costume...that looks like some random sweatshirt from some sports brand worn backwards with the extra fabric pinned and pulled over tautly over his right shoulder, complete with the soft elastic cuffs and the weird neckline. Coogler put more effort into a 30 second cameo than TFATWS did for one of Bucky's most emotionally poignant scenes in a series where he's the main character. Sorry I'm never going to pass on an opportunity to shit on the series.
And like yeah, while I don't ship T'Challa and Bucky (I really like T'Challa with Nakia in the MCU), I think they're an underrated dynamic. They strike me as somewhat similar in temperament? Both peace-loving, respectful and compassionate guys, who have a strong sense of loyalty and a fierce streak when someone they love is hurt. And both Bucky and T'Challa are older brothers to younger sisters, and they both have that oldest kid sense of weary responsibility. And for someone who was broken out of 70 years of brainwashing by being reminded of a promise he made, Bucky clearly has a strong sense of loyalty and responsibility.
So yeah, it makes no sense to me that Bucky would actively do something so personally hurtful, so disloyal and irresponsible to T'Challa, without adequate justification.
As for the mourning, yeah. At the time they didn't know how Coogler was planning to write T'Challa out of the story, so that might be why the mourning wasn't in there. To be honest, Bucky's feelings about Steve was handled poorly too. As I've mentioned before, the series avoids actually addressing how Steve's departure played out. Sam and Bucky are sad about Steve's absence, but never talk about the hurtful way Endgame!Steve abandoned both of them, which is far more emotionally relevant. They talk about him as though he had died in a noble sacrifice, not dumped the world on them and went to mess up someone else's timeline.

Alliance
Pairing: Shuri x Namor
Masterlist here!
Warning. SPOILERS FOR BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDER FOREVER!
A/N: You wanted it, you got it! Ideas for a shipping Name?
Plot: Shuri and Namor have formed an alliance that was sealed with their marriage....
It was confusing for Shuri to keep traveling between Talocan and Wakanda in the first few weeks, but that was what was needed to keep Wakanda safe. Even if she was not the queen, she was still beholden to the Black Panther and her people. An alliance of the two peoples, as Namor had wanted from the beginning, but this could not be broken. Namor's and her lives were connected to each other inevitably now, through marriage. She hated it, as the thought still made her blood boil as she remembered what he had taken from her. Shuri was alone. Without T'Challa or her mother. She was the last of her family. A descendant of the first Black Panther. At first, she was anything but thrilled with the idea of uniting their peoples like this, but she let him survive when she had the chance for her revenge. There had to be a reason, right? Finally, she was willing to fight an eternal war with Talocan, but decided against it because she realized that they were more similar than she thought. They both did everything they could to protect their peoples.
Shuri would always remember what had happened, but she also couldn't deny that something began to change between them as she spent more time with Namor. However, that didn't stop her from denying the feelings she had for him to everyone. It was silly that she had actually fallen in love with him, but it seemed to come down to that from the beginning. She looked at his mother's bracelet he had given her and remembered his words, "You wanted to burn the world down...Let's burn it down together.
"What are you thinking about, Princess?" her husband asked behind her and she looked at Namor in surprise. Somehow that had become her nickname.
"About killing you," she said defiantly, looking at him firmly, but he just smiled. It was clear to him that she had had many chances to do it, but never did. Shuri looked down at his foot, which was still bandaged after she had ripped his wings off there. "How's your foot?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "It's not as bad as it was at first," he admitted, offering her his hand. "Come...I want to show you something."
Hesitantly, she took his hand before he led her to them to his room. In the middle, Namor had her stand and smile before he removed a varnish from the wall and revealed to her the painting he had been working on. It was a picture of him and her fighting. "This is part of the story now...How the Black Panther defeated me...It is my wedding gift to you..."
Shuri walked closer and looked at it. "This marriage is merely an alliance, Namor..." she said, closing her eyes, but feeling him step behind her, feeling his hands on her sides.
"You are lying to yourself and to me...It has become more than that...You are afraid, afraid of what everyone will think of you if you want me..." he said, turning her to face him. Namor put a finger under her chin, "I know what I did and I'm not going to tell you I'm sorry because I did all this for my people..." -She looked at him firmly and tried to push him off of her, but he held her tightly- "But I can say that I am sorry for your loss..."
"It doesn't make it better, Namor..." she said softly, "I have no one left! Everyone I cared about has been taken from me! How are you going to make this hurt stop?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I can't...you have to learn to live with the pain and that's how you get stronger."
Shuri thrashed against his chest, but he held her tightly and pulled her against his chest. "And if that's not enough, I can't stop loving you..." she said softly and weakly as she looked up at him, "What kind of person does that make me?"
"Just someone who wants to keep going..." he said as he looked into her eyes. Namor leaned down and brushed his lips against hers. Shuri lifted her hand and placed it on his neck as she returned the kiss. But then she broke the kiss and stepped back from him. "No..."
Her voice sounded like she couldn't believe what she was doing herself. She shook her head and walked away. "I love you too," he said, making her stop. Namor stepped behind Shuri again and took her hand in his, intertwining his fingers with hers. "Give in, if only once...No one would ever have to know..."
She took a deep breath before turning and kissing him passionately. Namor placed a hand on the middle of her back and held her closer. She removed his cloak before he lifted her and carried her to her bed. She had never been there before. When she was in Talocan, she was always in her own room. Once in front of it, he lowered her down before kissing her neck and making Shuri sigh. Slowly, he pulled her dress up until the fabric was bunched around her middle. She lowered herself onto the bed and looked at Namor from below before pulling her dress over her head, leaving her wearing only underwear. Shuri didn't break the gaze between them as she lifted her hand and rubbed his erection through his pants.
"Shuri..." he moaned softly and then let her pull down his pants. She touched his cock and kissed the tip before licking the precum off the tip. He stroked through her short hair as she continued to stroke him and began to suck on the tip before she took more and more of him into her mouth and moved her head up and down. Namor moaned as his wife continued to suck him, but then stopped her. Shuri crawled back in bed and unclasped her bra before pulling it off her body. She leaned back and spread her legs for him. He crawled into the bed and between her legs before reaching for her panties and pulling the lace fabric from her body. Namor kissed her passionately and then broke the kiss after a few minutes and kissed down her body, looking up at her as he kissed her between her breasts. She stroked through his hair and moaned softly as his fingers stroked her legs and sucked on her skin until he reached the bottom. He lifted her leg over his shoulder and nibbled the skin of the inside of her thigh.
Namor finally licked over her pussy, making Shuri moan loudly and claw at his hair. He hummed against her and lightly pressed the tip of his tongue into her entrance. "Please...I want you," she moaned, pulling him up. She kissed him passionately, tasting herself on his lips. Shuri wrapped her legs around him and grabbed his cock, pumping it a few times before Namor took her hand away and guided himself to her entrance. Slowly he thrust into her, making them both gasp when he was completely inside her. Shortly after, she lifted her hips for him to continue. He pulled out before thrusting back deep inside her, but he did it slowly and teasingly. Soon Shuri needed more and spun her around so that she was sitting on top of him while his cock was deep inside her. She held onto his shoulders and began bouncing up and down quickly, moaning his name over and over as he was deep inside her pussy. Namor sat up and put his arms around her before quickly thrusting into her from below. Shuri stroked through his hair as his lips moved down to her breasts and began sucking on one of her nipples.
"Shuri..." he moaned as she grew tighter around him. A hand of his moved down between their bodies and quickly began rubbing her clit. Her orgasm built inside her and she cumming around him. Namor spun her around again and continued thrusting into her fast and hard until he thrust deep inside her one last time, filling her with his cum. Shuri gasped at the sensation and clawed at his back. A few minutes later, he slid out of her and lay down beside her, but pulled her into his arm.
Namor held her in his arm and her head rested on his shoulder as he gently caressed her shoulder and held her hand in his other hand. "Let's burn down the world together..." said Shuri softly, looking at him gently. It was time to move on....
