Why do new year resolution fail?
since its the new year many people decide to have goals for the year but by february 80% of people will have given up, here's some reasons why
your goals are too unrealistic - many people give themselves goals which are too big of change that they will not want to do for a long period of time and therefore easily give up for the comfort
your goals are too vague - for example many people want to lose weight as a resolution but this in of itself is too vague - how much weight? when do you want to stop? what milestones do you have for yourself?
you lack discipline - of course trying to change will have discomfort and many of us will feel like giving up and lose motivation, one resolution may be going to the gym but you may become too tried to continue and might just give up all together
you expect change fast - new year resolutions are for the WHOLE year - don't expect results in a week when your goal has a year deadline, this will just make you feel like what you're doing is pointless and you'll give up
so how do we actually try to stick to our goals?
break down big goals into smaller goals - if your goal is losing for example 10kg then set how much you hope to lose each month as a goal, after you lose a certain amount of weight let yourself have a reward
keep track - use a tracker or a planner to see if you're keeping in track for your goals
consistence > perfection - aim to be consistent every day over trying to aim 100% each day, this will just lead you to burn yourself out and for example it's better to study 3 hours a day than 7 hours one day a week as you'll have more information stuck in your head
give yourself rest days - you do not have to be perfect each day, giving yourself rest days helps you recharge and give yourself a boost for other days
remember change will not come overnight - just because you're not seeing results fast doesn't mean they won't come, you have a whole year for change and if something doesn't work then try something else

remember discipline > motivation and we all got this :)

My glow-up guide for when I'm in a rut
So just to be clear..to me glowing up is more of a mindset. It's your confidence, and how you treat your body in order to glow from the inside out. However, I do believe how you present yourself (in whichever way makes you feel best) contributes to your overall confidence and feeling your best.
So here are some of my quick tips to "glow-up" when I haven't been feeling my best.
⭑ step one: clean your space
Tumblr media
Personally, I'll never feel 100% unless my room/space is neat and tidy. Your space truly does affect your mindset, so this is always my first step in glowing up and coming out of a rough patch. This includes making my bed, doing my laundry, (and folding all my laundry I haven't folded) and lighting a nice candle.
⭑ step two: take a shower to restart
Tumblr media
I've always struggled with feeling like I've let a day "go to waste", whether it be from sleeping in or just not being productive. Then one day I heard something that really helped me... it was that if you're ever feeling like this, just take a shower and tell yourself you are restarting the day. I know. this might sound silly, but try it because it really works.
⭑ step three: skincare/ grooming
Tumblr media
So this is where the physical "glow-up" stuff comes in. Skincare/ grooming is different for everyone...so for this step, do all the things you've been neglecting. For me this means: doing my eyebrows, shaving, exfoliating, haircare, etc. These may seem like little things, but trust me they add up!
⭑ step four: nails
Tumblr media
The thing that pulls everything together for me are nails. Whether you get the, done, or do them yourself. Have them long or short, it doesn't matter. Just making sure they're cleaned and filled is perfect. I personally like to keep my natural nails with a gel polish to keep them strong.
So this has been my quick steps guide to glowing up when you're in a rut. Let me know what you do to glow-up when you're feeling down :)

Becoming a ☆Dream Girl☆
Who doesn’t want to be a dream girl? Put together, always smells nice, radiant, confident, cute, and content. Where does one even begin when trying to embody that dream girl energy?! Well, with a few practical changes to my life and routines, I’m starting to feel more confident in myself and in love with my appearance and my own energy. Here’s what I’m doing to become my own dream girl!
- Overnight Curls and Wave! I’m going to start wearing my hair in braids or curlers when I go to bed so I can wake up with beautiful, dreamy hair.
- Wake Up Earlier. I need to build in time to my schedule to be able to properly get ready in the morning! I usually roll out of bed, do my hair very fast, brush my teeth, put on clothes, and run out the door. If I want to start doing beauty routines and investing more time into myself, I need to wake up earlier! My ideal routine is:
• Wash face
• Brush teeth
• Sunscreen & makeup
• Hair
• Outfit & accessories
• Fragrance
• Breakfast!
- Simple Makeup. Sunscreen, blush, highlighter, mascara, and tinted lip balm or lip gloss would make me look radiant and angelic everyday!
- Work Out 30 Minutes 6 Days a Week! I have a family history of high blood pressure LOL so I think I should begin experimenting with exercise and learning how to move my body in ways that I enjoy while I’m still young :)
- Body Care / Skin Care! I’m going to buy salicylic acid body wash and a fragrance free moisturizer to prevent acne, hydrate my skin, and make my body glow.
- Pick a Signature Fragrance! I want to pick a signature scent for everyday, and possibly a scent for special events! I think I prefer picking a scent that matches each season, so I can have some variation throughout the year. Here’s the perfumes I own so far:
• Love’s Baby Soft (Summer)
• Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy (Fall)
• YSL Mon Paris (Winter)
• Marc Jacobs Honey (Spring)
• Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth

how to become more confident 💗
in order to become a better version of yourself you have to be confident, being an it girl is not just about looks! here are some tips which can help you become more confident
Tumblr media
💗stop comparing yourself - someone else's beauty does not take any away from yours
💗stop taking things personally - basically stop caring about other people's opinion, we literally live on a floating rock in the middle of space, why should you care about someone else's opinion about you?
💗accept that not everyone will like you - there will always be people who are going hate you for some reason, no matter how much you change for them, so instead of constantly changing yourself for these people, don't acknowledge them at all
💗understand that the way you think of yourself is the way others will think about you - if you keep on calling yourself ugly and insecure, you will give of that energy to other people
💗stop asking for people's opinion on things you like - you like that dress ? buy it. "but Emily thinks it looks bad" so ? you don't like everything she wears but she stills wears it. nothing make's you more hotter then doing whatever you like without asking for other people's approval
thank you for reading, I hope this helps you upgrade your confidence

How to maximise your organisation
Do you ever feel as if everything in your life is upside down? When your life isn't very organised it can feel quite overwhelming and hard to concentrate and do things. Here's some things you can do to organise!
use a planner and plan ahead
declutter your places like your room, drawers, purse, bags etc
organise your closet - get rid/donate clothes you don't wear anymore, fold clothes etc
declutter your phone - this can include your apps, photos, files, emails
create a routine and stick with it - routines can help you stay on track
create a tracker - from anything to habits to money
empty your bin
plan meals in advance
vacuum your floors
make your bed
write down anything you need to do
do your laundry
spend at least 10 mins a day cleaning your personal space
not mandatory but you can redecorate your room
