Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: jake sim is not a jealous person. at least that's what he tells himself. so why does he find himself going through your phone when a certain "bluejay park" decides to text you?
pairing: jake sim x y/n [ft. mentions of jay park]
genre: angst, fluff
warnings: angst, cursing (very minimal), one slightly suggestive sentence, jake being cute, some more angst lol, slightly cheesy bc jake’s just too cute ugh
wc: 3.8k
a/n: ok i loved writing this, which is why i went on to almost 4k words LOL oops. but anyways, i love jake a little too much and this type of scenario has been running around in my head for a while now so i decided to put it into words. also i may have created this blog just so i could post this somewhere LMAO anyways yeah this was my first fic so hope you guys enjoyyyy <3
Jake Sim is not a jealous person.
At least that's what he tells himself. To be fair, in his past relationships, he never showed any jealously. Then again, he doesn't know if he can call those relationships, "relationships". Does a fifth grade relationship with a girl who he was once dared to kiss during a game of Truth or Dare in the basement of a classmate's house during their 11th birthday party count? He doesn't remember being jealous when the same girl was later dared to kiss his classmate, Sunghoon. (Funny enough, that's how the two boys came to be best friends 'til this day, but that's a story for another time.)
But really, Jake doesn't think jealously is one of his traits, even if he's now almost 20 years old without any experience with love other than his current relationship with you and that short-lived romance in the fifth grade. (What was her name again? Jake would have to ask Sunghoon later.)
So he doesn't know what clicked in that brain of his that lead him to this current situation he was in. He doesn't know why he felt a little spark of anger in him when your phone, which you left right next to him on the couch while you went to take a shower, kept buzzing with texts from "bluejay park". He doesn't know why he couldn't kept his eyes distracted from the messages, although your phone was constantly lighting up because whatever it was Jay had to say to you, he would not shut up about it. He doesn't know why he questioned what your relationship with Jay was for a split second.
In fact, you're close with all of Jake's friends. That's one of his favorite things about you, you get along so well with all his friends you might as well replace Jake himself in the friend group. So he doesn't know what tells him to take a little glance at your phone—at the messages.
But he finds himself doing it anyways.
Hearing that the water in the shower was still running (you were always the type to take long showers), he quickly grabs your phone and scrolls through the lock screen just to find that he couldn't even read the messages since you had your notifications set so no one could read them unless the phone was unlocked (darn you and your settings!) Thankfully, Jake knew your passcode––and you knew his too––or he thought he did. Until the iPhone vibrated, telling him the passcode was wrong.
He must've entered it too fast or something. So he tries again.
And again.
And again.
Until the iPhone switches its screen to say: "iPhone is disabled. Try again in 5 minutes."
There's no way. You never change your password. And even if you did, you would tell him—you two even had each other's fingerprints saved into each other's phones in the past (you know, before the world decided that Apple's home button was too lame and decided to just completely get rid of it). If there was an option to save multiple faces for Face ID, you two would be that couple that saved each others faces in your own phones.
That being said, Jake sat there, your phone in hand, frozen. Why was your phone locked? Why was Jay texting you 10 texts per second? Why did he feel guilty about this entire situation?
He hears the shower switch off and in that moment, he swears he feels his heart beat just a little faster. He tells himself there's no way you'll be out before the 5 minutes are up. You followed a really meticulous skincare routine (one that Jake memorized by now) that took an extra 15 minutes of your time after each shower.
"Hey Jake?" Your voice calls out from the tiny bathroom door crack that you left open before you hopped in the shower, "Is my phone out there? Do you mind bringing it to me?"
Fuck.
Jake shifts on the couch. Taps his foot on the ground. Returns your phone to its original spot. Clears his throat.
"Don't you want to get dressed first?" he calls back, quite timidly.
He can hear you stop moving around in the bathroom. Probably telling yourself what an odd response that was. To be fair, it was an odd question, considering the fact that you two have been together for so long, it’s not like he hasn’t seen you undressed before...intentionally or not.
Next thing he knows, the steam is rolling out of the bathroom door and you're stepping out in your towel, eyebrows raised.
"If you didn't want to get up from the couch, you could've just said so, you lazy butt," you smirk at him as you walk towards him and the couch, leaving a faint trail of water drops behind you. Jake's eyes follow your figure as you go to grab your phone and lift the screen towards yourself.
That's when he freezes. You do too.
You cock your head, as if asking yourself why it was disabled. He can hear the gears in your head turning.
"Jake, did you try to unlock my phone?"
He runs through all the possible excuses he could blurt out. Come on Jake, think of something! But he knows he can't lie to you.
Too many beats of silence pass by.
"Maybe," he finally says—or more like murmurs. He looks up to you like a child looking up at their mom, who just them caught stealing a cookie from the cookie jar. To his surprise, you don't show any hint of anger. A flash of confusion—and is that worry he sees?—crosses your face for a split second before you shrug and turn towards your room to change, dropping the subject. It was natural for you two to use each other's phones anyways. So then why did you have that look of worry?
Jake knows you well, a little too well. But that's what you love about him. He can easily read all your emotions. One of the many things he picked up from dating you for almost two years now. But why would you care if he tried to get into your phone? Why would that worry you? All the possibilities run through head and his own worry begins to increase. He trusts you. He does.
So then why does the thought bother him throughout the entire day? Why does he bring it up during dinner later that night, when you're both cuddled on your sofa, slurping take-out ramen while rewatching your favorite k-drama under the thick blanket that you always keep in your living room for nights like these?
"Huh? Of course I've heard from Jay today, we had that conversation about that stupid meme you boys kept laughing about in the groupchat we're all in, didn't we?" You answer him when he asks if you've heard from Jay lately. You sit up from your warm spot under Jake's arm to put your empty bowl on the coffee table in front of you. When you lean back, you look up at him,
"Why do you ask?"
"Oh, it's nothing, just wondering," he says, avoiding your eyes by keeping his own trained on the series currently playing on your TV. This would be your third time rewatching this series together. He would never complain to you though, he knows how much you love it and if he were being honest, he was secretly attached to the characters—not that he would ever tell you, he would never hear the end of it from you and the boys.
"You're being weird. Just tell me, or did you forget that I can practically read your mind," you say with a giggle and shove to his side, the one you were currently warmly cuddled into. Jake wasn't the only one who learned how to read emotions; you could read him just as well as he could read you. And like you, that's one of the many things he loved about you. But maybe not in this case.
He toyed around with the contents inside his ramen bowl with his chopsticks.
"I just..." God, how does he word this? Why was he having trouble explaining it? You were the easiest person to talk to. To him, you were the only person he could tell everything to.
"Jaywastextingyouabunchearlier," he blurts out quickly, but not quickly enough for you to miss it.
He feels you shift under his arm. He feels the air in the room shift. Tension.
"What?" Now you're sitting upright, legs criss-crossed in front of you on the couch but turned, so your body is completely facing him. He mirrors you, sitting up to put his ramen bowl next to yours on the surface, but he stays facing the TV.
"Your phone kept going off because of him when you were showering," he says with a little more confidence. But inside, he was nervous as hell, the same nervous as when he asked you out for the first time many moons ago. But it's too late to back out now, he brought it up first, anyways. Guess we're having this conversation now, good going Jake!
"Is that why you tried unlocking my phone earlier? I mean I thought you were just trying to leave selfies on my phone like you always do but you were trying to read my texts?" You question, slightly raising your soft voice. He doesn't know how to react, he hates confrontation.
"It wasn't like that, Jay just kept spamming you and like I—why was he even texting you in the first place? Then your phone got disabled because you changed your password, which you never do by the way, so I–"
"I changed it because my little sister kept getting into my phone when I went to visit my family yesterday! Did you really think I was hiding something from you? You know I can text whoever I want, right? You don't own me."
Okay so now he's managed to make you angry. Good going Jake, part 2!
"Okay but what does Jay need from you so bad that he has to send you like 50 messages at once?" He's standing now. So are you, eyebrows furrowed together as you collect your bowls from the table.
Standing there, bowls in hand, you say, "Jake, that's none of your business! It wasn't even that big of a deal, I don't know why you felt the need to nosy around."
"Well, if he's texting you non-stop, then obviously it's a big deal! We wouldn't even be having this conversation if you would just tell me what you guys were talking about," he murmurs back, eyes narrowing. You scoff as you trail into your kitchen. He follows behind and stops at the other side at your kitchen island as you place the dirty dishes into the sink.
"No, we're having this conversation because you obviously don't trust me! It doesn't matter what we were talking about, it doesn't matter who I was texting! I could be texting your mother and I shouldn't have to tell you what we were talking about! That's why we're having this conversation," you say as you turn back to face him from the other end.
He hates this. He hates fighting with you (which is a very, very rare occasion). He hates that you think he doesn't trust you. He hates his insecurity eating at him, telling him to keep questioning you on why you and Jay were talking in the first place. He was aware that you were close with his friends, but it wasn't until the texts he realized just how close you are with them. It's not that he didn't trust you, he just didn't know how to act when it came to you and other guys. God knows how he got lucky enough to meet you, let alone date you, so the thought of him losing you to someone else actually terrified him. Not only were you his first real relationship, but he wanted you to be his first and only one in life. You were it for him.
"Why did he text you." He deadpans from his side of the kitchen.
You scoff with a hint of exasperation. "You're kidding me."
You stare at him. He stares back, quirking an eyebrow, as if restating the same question back, as if testing you.
You're fuming now. Why was he making it so hard? Why was he doubting you? Out of frustration, you start laughing, which scares him. That can't be good.
"Fine. You wanna know so bad? Take a look,"  you're one tone level away from screaming as you take your phone out of your pocket, unlock it, and open up your conversation with "bluejay park", sliding the phone across the island to reach him.
Jake stares at the phone which now lies there, unlocked, facing him. Isn't this what he wanted? It is, right? That's why he started this dreaded argument with you in the first place.
Then why does he feel so fucking awful?
He looks back up at you, to see you sighing and looking up at the ceiling, as if trying to force your forming tears back into your eyes.
Yup, he feels horrible.
"Happy? Happy to know we were just trying to plan a surprise birthday party for you but you and your jealously just had to know huh, Jake?" You quickly state, voice cracking, as you tried not to choke up. You weren't sad that he found out about the surprise. You were sad that it felt like he didn't trust you. That he thought you were the type of person to do god knows what behind his back. You hated the feeling of not being trusted. Especially by Jake, of all people.
"Fuck."
Jake's face (and heart) falls with the most broken expression you've ever seen. But you're too sad, angry, tired (a mix of all?) to care. Your only goal right now is to not let him see you cry.
You hurry past him, across your apartment, and into your bedroom, slamming the door behind you, leaving behind a shocked, and regretful, Jake.
His heart shrinks when he hears the door slam shut and a little more when he looks down at the still unlocked phone in front of him. He didn't have the heart in him to look at it anymore. Of course he trusted you, he knew what you said was the truth.
He mentally screams at himself for assuming the worst––for thinking that you, a literal angel, would betray him.  First, he thought he was losing you to someone else. Now, he was afraid he just lost you through his own actions.
He hesitantly sulks over to your door, softly knocking when he reaches it.
"Y/N?"
No response.
"Y/N, I'm so sorry. I didn't know, I let my—”
"Jake just please leave me alone for now," he hears you painfully say from a distance, meaning you're on your bed. He knows the door's unlocked—the lock on your door hasn't been working for a long time now, despite the many times he tells you to talk to your landlord about it. But he doesn't find it in him to open it. He knows he messed up. If he saw you in there right now, crying, he wouldn't know what to do. He wouldn't know what he would to do himself, knowing he was the reason behind your tears.
He nods in silence, knowing you can't see him, but does so anyways and returns to his spot on the couch. He could leave right now, go back to the dorm with the rest of the guys, let you have your space like you wanted. But his heart hurts at the idea of leaving you sad, angry, or a combination of both. He can't leave this unresolved. He fucked up, he has to fix it.
And so he sits on your couch for another hour. The clock on the wall behind him continues to tick as the silent tension in your apartment continues to grow. When it hits 11pm and he's sure you've slumbered off into sleep, he quietly enters your room.
He can see your figure in the dark, your back facing the door as you're curled up into yourself under the comforter. He feels his heart drop a little more when he imagines you crying in that position from earlier. He slowly peels the comforter open and gets into his side of the bed, careful not to bother your sleeping figure.
Laying there, staring up at the ceiling, he's never felt more like a stranger in your bed. It's not that he hasn't slept over before, god knows he's probably slept over at your place more than he has in his own bed. But right now, in this moment, he just felt awful. Like he didn't deserve to be in such close proximity to you. How could he be deserving? He violated your privacy, made you feel like you weren't trusted, doubted your relationship.
These thoughts run through Jake's head as he stares up at your ceiling fan, wishing he could turn back time to a few hours ago, before he checked your phone, before he let his insecurities get to the best of him.
You can feel the dip he makes in the bed behind you when he gets in. Of course you're not asleep. There's no way sleep could reach you when you had the recent events constantly replaying in your head like a broken record.
You knew Jake with all your heart. You didn't have to look at him to know he was probably laying there, hurt, staring up at the ceiling, drafting what to say once you wake up—or once he knows you're actually still awake.
You decide to break the tension by turning to lay on your other side, facing him.
You were wrong. Thanks to the little sliver of moonlight shining through your sheer curtains, you can see him, now laying on his side, already looking at you with so much regret in his eyes. You can almost hear the cracks in your heart physically forming.
His eyes widen when he realizes you're still awake. He opens his mouth to say something, but not before you quickly shift over to his side of the bed and embrace him in a tight hold, burying your face into his chest. Without any hesitation, he returns the gesture, arms holding your body as close to him as possible. As if once he let go, he'd lose you forever.
He lets out a sigh of relief as he breathes you in. He didn't even know he was holding his breath all this time.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry Y/N," he mutters into your hair. He feels his hoodie getting wet from where you buried your face. He pulls you closer, if that's even possible, feeling his own eyes heating up with sadness. He would never forgive himself for making you feel this way.
"You know I trust you right? Please know that. I shouldn't have assumed the worst when I saw your phone. I...I let my insecurities get to the best of me."
You move your head from its home on his chest to look up at him, as if asking him to elaborate. This was new to you, you didn't know he held insecurities in your relationship. But it wasn't because of you, no, you were his entire world. Losing you meant losing everything.
Jake's never been the best at saying his feelings. That's why it took him so long (with the help of his six best friends) to finally confess how he felt about you. He was afraid of letting people in if they could easily walk out. Maybe that's why he never let anyone into his life before you. But oh, were you an exception. The second he met you, he knew he was fucked. But thank god he did, because thanks to you, he's been able to be more open, more vulnerable. He's able to talk to you about anything and everything. He doesn't have that same fear of losing people anymore, not when he has you in his life to reassure him every step of the way. But right now, in this moment, he doesn't know how to tell you that his new fear was, in fact, just losing you.
The sheer idea of you not being a part of his life anymore terrified him.
"I hope you know you're never going to lose me Jake, if that's what you're insecure about," you softly mutter as you wrap your free arm that's not stuck in between both your bodies around him to gently play with the ends of his hair. It's as if you could read his mind, he loves that you know him so well.
"It just sucks that you could even think I would ever do something as awful as what you were assuming...with one of your closest friends nonetheless," you continue.
"I know. I know, and I feel terrible. I'm so sorry. I know you would never do anything remotely close to that, and I know you would never intentionally try to keep anything from me," he sighs. He shifts so he can lie down on his back, bringing you with him to lie on his chest, never letting you go once. "It's just...I just don't know what I'd do if I ever lost you Y/N. Everyday, I ask myself what heroic thing I must've done in my past life to deserve this life with you and I can't help but think you could just as easily be stripped away from me."
As much as your heart breaks listening to him rant, you feel your love for him grow even more. You knew how hard it was for him to put his true emotions into words, and him telling you this reminded you how much trust he had in you.
After some moments of silence, moments of him drawing random shapes onto your back, moments of you two just holding each other like it was the end of the world, you speak up.
"I love you. I'm sorry for making you doubt yourself—"
"No, it's not your fault, I can't help but think things like that. I just don't know what I did to deserve you, and I know that I need to be mo–"
"Babe let me finish," you say with a little giggle in your tone. He immediately stops and mutters a little "sorry". How cute, you tell yourself.
"I was gonna say," you look back up at him so you're making direct eye contact now. "You're the only one that's ever on my mind, Jake. I can't help the way you think, but I can assure you that there is no one else I would rather be with. And I mean that for the rest of life."
You snuggle back into the comfortable hoodie he's currently wearing (you make a mental note to yourself to steal it from him later) and decide to ease the tension,
"So you're stuck with me for life, sorry to inform you Mr. Sim."
Jake lets out a laugh, looking down at you to see you returning his smile with a cheeky one.
"I love you. So much," he says so sincerely, so genuinely, that you almost tear up again from how content you were. Now you were asking yourself, what did you do to deserve him?
Jake Sim is not a jealous person.
No, he just loves you.
A lot.

Made To Break
Yandere!Hypnos x reader (gender neutral)
Word count: 5k
Warning: Yandere bevaiour, dubcon/noncon, sex in later parts
No beta. Read at your own risk.
A/N: part one of two. Enjoy.
Your father was a fool.
But perhaps You were just as foolish.
💮
When the letter arrived, you couldn't believe that the same man wrote it.
Your father always wrote in neat, tight letters but the letters You got were loopy, large letters that fused together at odd parts.
You sat in your car outside your childhood home. The front yard was nothing but overgrown grass now. You could see the lack of care the home had gotten over the years in the cracks and chipped off paint. The overcast skies and trees with just a few leaves holding on only added to the depressing picture.
You bit your lip as you pulled out your father's letter from your bag.
With shaky hands, you unfolded it again for what must have been hundreds of times.
'My dearest child.
I gave it all up. I have found a way to eternity. But it cost me everything.
Forgive me.
I just wanted to see your mother again.
Father.'
"Madness. Simply mad." You murmured. You could feel the tears welled up in your eyes, you knew your father loved your mom. Her loss had slowly eaten him alive since you were a child.
Now he was just a body in a hospital room. It was unlike any coma the doctors had seen before.
The doctor, an older woman with short gray hair and sharp blue eyes, had felt more like a grandmother than a doctor.
But even with her kind face couldn't soften the blow that your father will likely never wake up again.
You sniffed as you used your hoodie sleeve to rub at your eyes.
"Okay. Okay. You got this. This was your home too." You tried to smooth yourself with little success. With a deep breath for courage, you made your way to the house.
When you got inside the dark house, you stubbed your foot on the piles of books by the door and they promptly fell over into a heap.
"Urg, fuc-owww. Okay, Y/N great start.Just amazing." You pulled out your phone. You could make the numerous texts from your partner-no, now your ex but you just bypass those for the flashlight.
You shone the light around, there was nothing but a big mess. Books and papers had overtaken the house and you can smell the old fast food bags that piled into the corner.
You could see on one wall, writing in wasn't in English and strange markings. A single gold and red eye stared back.
"Fuck."
💮
Hours later, you had made headway in the madness that was now your childhood home.
At least your room had been mostly spared. Only some odd books here and there. And the many, many dried poppies on your floor.
You tossed the broom on the floor as you flop down along with it. You didn't realize how bad it had gotten. You only got your room back to normal, let alone the rest of the house.
Guilt swelled in your chest, you should have been more aware. You knew your dad wasn't the most stable person which isn't good but this was something else.
But…
But...
You had been busy dealing with your 'friends' group, the breakup and the last of your exams.
You covered your face, you already cried three times today and you weren't not about to start again.
Your phone buzzed, and you couldn't stop the laugh. Speak of the devil.
You rolled over to your side and pulled your phone close to you.
You swipe away the message, you were not dealing with any of your former friends right now. Your cheating jerk of an ex could keep them all. You had far more important matters to attend to now.
You opened up the gallery app, you took many photos as you could with the last of the daylight left.
You zoomed in on the writing, you had thought it was nonsense at first but after a few more looks, you could see the repeated words. You just didn't know the language.
There was something deeply wrong in this house. You could swear you could feel something was in there with you. But if friend or foe you weren't sure. You tried not to think about how your only protection was your childhood baseball bat.
But what did your dad do? You normally are able to pick apart what your dad was doing but this was something else unknown. You kept checking the pictures with the creepy red and gold eye in hope of finding something.
Slowly you could feel tiredness sinking in your bones, and before you knew it, your eyes drifted shut.
💮
A warm hand cupped your cheek, and you pressed into it with a sigh. You couldn't remember the last time you were touched so tenderly. You think for a moment it was your ex but they never did that before.
The hand left but then you were lifted up against a warm chest. You heard murmurs as sleep pulled you under again.
💮
Rushing water reached your ears and for a moment, you thought you could hear the sounds of birds.
It took you a moment to notice that you weren't in normal clothes but a tunic that went over one shoulder. You saw a brooch with two wings in its place. You should be more worried but you felt too tired to care.
You turned your head with a yawn. Whose lap were You using as a pillow? Before you could look, a hand covered your eyes.
"Not yet, You still need more time." A man's voice... but You didn't recognize it. You made a questioning sound but he hushed you gently.
"Blood and darkness, you are just as beautiful as I remember."
You reached up and stroked his hand, trying to understand what was going on.
"I don't remember… you." You slurred quietly.
"I know. It's not your fault. All it matters is that I found you again."
His thumb rubbed your cheek, "Now go back to sleep. I will be there soon."
You sighed as you sunk back into sleep.
💮
You stared at your bedroom wall, not able to breathe. There was someone else here and they apparently tucked you in bed, blanket pulled up to your chin and all.
You took a breath and tried to listen to any sounds. You waited, surely you would hear footsteps or something.
But there were no sounds, none at all.
It took all of your nerves to get out of bed. You grabbed your childhood baseball bat, it was small but you could still get a good hit in.
You remembered you left your phone on the ground and turned to look for it. It wasn't there, not on your nightstand or desk.
'Great, some creep definitely got my phone.' you tighten your hold on the bat, and after listening for a moment, you slowly push the door opened.
Without saying a word, you slowly walked out though the house. You were sure you would find out who invited themselves in.
The mess was still the same, the writing on the wall was still there. You went through the house twice and found nothing.
You heard the sound of a single bird singing in the backyard. You followed the sounds, it almost felt like it was calling you.
The bat dropped from your hand and You couldn't stop the tears in your eyes.
The backyard had been overtaken by red poppies, there was almost no grass left. the singing stopped when you stepped outside. But a soft hoot had You stared up into the tree and saw a single little owl stared back at you.
It's eyes were light yellow.
💮
It was late morning now, the overcast skies have darkened and You are sure it will start snowing soon.
You had given up finding your phone. You s out of your bedroom.
"Fine, you can have it! Good luck guessing the password, you jerk!" You shouted into the backyard. There was no response but you didn't expect one. You had already tried to find the owl but it must have flown off.
You couldn't stand the smell of the old food anymore and tossed it. You found some tea that was still good and stood in the kitchen, waiting for the water to boil.
You changed out your tight jeans and hoodie for a pair of much more comfortable jeans and an oversize sweater.
Thankfully, like your bedroom, the kitchen was also mostly clean. You found as many candles as you could, which wasn't many. Two kept the kitchen dimly lit.
You checked the light bulbs, nearly all of them had burned out. Just one more thing for you to fix.
You rubbed your face with a sigh, at least all the appliances were working. And you won't have to go without water either.
You flipped through your dad's notebooks in hopes of finding something. It was in the second notebook you finally found a name. It had been underlined and circled.
"Hypnos?" You murmured, "Who the hell is that?" It doesn't sound like a human name you heard of.
You made your tea, tucked the notebook under your arm. After cleaning off the big armchair and side table, You began going through the books in the living room. Nearly all of them were about ancient Greece, which you knew nothing about.
Your eyes went to the wall writings, that would explain why you didn't know any of the words.
Did your dad believe this stuff? You looked down at the open notebook in your lap. You skim some of the pages, the only name that came up was Hypnos.
"The god of sleep, huh?" You looked at the stacks of books. Why would your dad care about some god of sleep?
You keep looking though, and found a basic guide to Greek mythology. You flipped through the pages, "Come on Hypnos babe, where are you…"
You grinned when you saw the name in bold print. You skim past most of the information, but one part caught your eyes.
Despite being considered as a gentle and kind god, he has been known to strike others down. In the death of his lover by a human warrior (whose name had been lost to time) he had caused the world to go into a permanent state of sleep, never to waken again.
Only his mother Nyx, goddess of night, was able to talk him down or fight him depending on the storyteller and restore the world. In oral storytelling that has been recorded, it is said that he still uses dreams in hope of finding his lost love.
"Oh dad. No wonder." Your heart twisted, sad that your dad's last days have been spent on some myth. He must have been so far gone to think any of it was real.
But was he wrong? You stared out the window, knowing there was somehow a field of poppies waiting.
Your gut flipped, and told yourself it was just one of those freakish nature things.
💮
You didn't quite realize when you fell asleep. You sighed when you felt a hand touch your forehead followed by a kiss.
You tried to wake up, but the voice murmured something and you just hummed. Your eyelids are too heavy to open anyway.
When the arms scooped you again, you just sighed and curled against the chest.
💮
You felt soft grass tickle your face. You pushed yourself up quickly. You were in the tunic again and you could see a sea of poppies and other flowers surrounding you.
A thick fog of sleepiness tried to pull you back but you ignored it. Not again, damnit.
You stood up, your legs felt so wobbly like a baby deer. Dispise your best attempt, You fell on your knees, the call to sleep overpowering.
You gasped when a hand covered your eyes. You grabbed his wrist, "No, I don't want to go back to sleep." You could feel the fog of sleep growing stronger. You kicked at his legs but got nothing but air.
"I'm sorry, but not yet." His voice came next to your ear, you could feel his breath on your skin. You tried to move away but you fell against him. Your head lolled upward against a shoulder.
An arm wrapped around your waist and held you firm.
"Soon, I promise. I just have to handle a few more things. I will be here when you wake up." A kiss was pressed against your temple.
You wanted demand for answers but you were already falling back into the darkness.
💮
"Not again." You moaned. You sat up, the blanket pooled in your lap. What in the world was going on?
You were back in the oversize sweater and jeans. You press your fingers against your temple. Those kisses felt so real.
Are you going mad too? Just like your dad? You gulped, feeling so very alone.
An hour later and some crying, You somehow found the willpower to make it out of bed. Snow was falling down now and a healthy inch was already on the ground.
You made it to the living room when you saw him by the window, snow falling down against the glass. His sheer size made the living room seem smaller. He was reading one of your dad's notebooks in one hand, a quill floated around next to him.
Some part of you, deep inside of you knew were looking at Hypnos, God of sleep.
"It's you." Your voice cracked. His shoulders tensed up as he turned. Bright, yellow eyes stared at you. "Oh you were the owl too weren't you?" You said numbly.
He nodded slowly, "You've been crying again." He said concerned, his eyes scanned you up and down. He tossed the notebook to the side as he took a step toward you.
Unable to tear your eyes away, you grabbed for the first thing you could reach, a thick and heavy book. And with all of your strength, you launched it at his head.
"Blood and darkness!" He ducked to the side. You reached for another and hurled it.
"It's you!" You snarled, feeling like a rabid animal. "You did this! What did you do to my dad?! To my fucking phone?!"
The bastard ducked again. "Hey, I didn't do anything he didn't ask for!" He held up his palms, stretched out to show he wasn't a threat.
"I won't hurt you. I would never lay a finger on you, Y/N." His voice was soft, kind like he was dealing with some animal.
You stared for a moment, rage overtaking any sense you had. "You've been the asshole putting me to bed every night." You grabbed another book and hurled it. "How dare you!"
And of course, he sidestepped the book. Which just made you angier.
"I don't care if you're a god. Make my dad go back to normal. Or I will find a way to hurt you somehow!"
"He didn't tell you anything did he?" The god asked, a wry smile on his face. You picked up another book, and he just sighed. "Have you tried aiming? Sounds crazy, I know but maybe you could actually hit me this time?"
"You don't get to be disparaging, not with all the trouble you made for me." You gestured with the book as if it would help make your point.
You stood behind the armchair, using it as a shield. You knew you wouldn't win in a physical fight but you weren't going to make it easy for him.
Hypnos sighed, "No, no you're right. I'm sorry." He ran a hand through his curls, a soft smile on his face.
"I'm happy though, you are still as courageous as you always have been. I wasn't sure what I would find after all this time."
"What are you talking about? I have never seen you before. I think I would remember meeting an ancient god." You snarled, not enjoying whatever game the god was playing with you.
"Most people don't try to fight a god with books, my love. Not even other gods." Hypnos smiled.
"If I had something stronger, I would beat you with that. Be happy that I don't have my bat on me. You still didn't answer anything."
You pointed at the wall with writings. "I want answers and I want them now. You said we met before, when?"
Hypnos was silent, his eyes tracing the words on the wall. He stepped closer to the center of the wall, his fingers traced the words. "So that's where he messed up. I told him to check with me before doing anything." He murmured to himself.
After a moment, he looked at you.
"In your past life, you were going to be my consort. I've been looking for you for a very long time.."
You stared, quiet in your disbelief. He waved a hand toward the wall, "Problem is that the spell got messed up. I think your father was rushing and couldn't finish the spell the proper way. That's why you don't remember anything."
You shook your head, laughing "No, none of this makes sense."
"Y/N, stop hiding behind that ugly chair, and we can talk more about what happened." Hypnos' voice tried to sound calming, but you heard an undercurrent of eagerness. Of hunger to it.
You shook your head, "No, and don't take another step toward me. I can see what you're doing. That lighting thing your fingers are doing, Hypnos." You tighten your grip on the book, cursing yourself for leaving your bat up your bedroom. Not that it would be much better.
Hypnos' fingers abruptly stopped the magic spell. His smile faded and his eyes stayed on you, waiting for your next move.
You eyed him, you haven't been able to land a single hit on him but you didn't see any signs of super speed yet.
You might be able to get out of the house and into the car before he could get you. But what if he just could teleport or something you haven't thought of?
It was a risk you would have to take because since you saw him, he watched you like you were some prey for him and you didn't want to stick around to find out what Hypnos had planned.
The living room front way will be no good but the backdoor was in the kitchen, if you could make that, it would be a longer run but you would have far more chances for escape…
You dropped everything and took off like a shot into the kitchen. You almost sailed into the sink but used the motion for more speed.
You heard Hypnos yelled your name followed by something you were sure was a swear word in Greek.
The yard, full of poppies and snow greeted you, you hissed as your socks got soaked from the snow.
You almost made it to the gate, and past that, you could see your car.
Freedom.
You didn't see the root sticking out of the ground, but you saw it on the way down.
The breath knocked out of you when you slammed into the cold ground and mere seconds afterwards, you felt hands on your shoulders followed by a pressure against your back. Hypnos leaned down, his lips against your ear, and he spoke in must have been Greek.
"No. Nonono." You gasped, fighting for breath but he just shushed you. His fingers brushed against your cheeks almost lovingly.
Your eyelids slided shut.
💮
When you woke up, your fingers were curled against an unfamiliar red blanket. You sighed as your eyes drifted shut, you couldn't remember the last time you felt so….warm and safe.
You heard the sounds of paper moving around and your eyes fluttered open.
Hypnos must have cleared off the sofa and placed you there. You could see the written wall behind him, post-it notes dotted between the words and some of them were covered with lined paper, new words on it.
Hypnos was sitting on the ground, notebooks and paper surrounded him. A quill tip between his teeth, his golden eyes almost glowed in the dim lighting.
It took a moment of staring but you noticed Hypnos's cloak was gone. Your fingers tighten when you realize you were under his cloak. You took a moment to look at him as he kept reading the notebook
While he wasn't the broadest person you've ever seen, there was a solidness to him. You could see the lean muscles in his arms and shoulders. The gold bands he wore only highlighted the muscles.
You tore your eyes away. 'Jerk.' you thought even as your cheeks warmed.
"I don't like you very much." You spoke, voice rough with sleep.
Hypnos looked up to you, not saying anything. He took out the quill and twilled it between his fingers.
You rolled your eyes at him, unmoving your spot under his cloak. He stared, looking thoughtful for a second before he leaned toward you with a wide smile on his lips, "If you don't like me then you should return my cloak."
"No, it's mine now." The words slipped out your mouth before you knew it.
You blinked at his laugh. You thought he would be upset.
Hypnos chuckled fondly, "Word for word."
At your questioning look, he continued.
"You don't remember yet but the first time we met, you were trying to find medicine for humans. I think you were upset at me because you got lost in my cave. I brought you back home and I gave you my cloak so you could get warm."
You sat up against the arm rest, holding on to the cloak. Not ready to give up the feeling of safety yet. You bit your lip, not quite sure what to say.
His eyes glazed over, the quill still spinning between his fingers. His voice turned quiet. "You were so beautiful, so strong, so determined. You fought for humanity, not that they even remember, those worthless animals, the whole lot."
He seemed lost in a memory so you just waited it out, letting him talk.
"You hated the fact I took half of their lives away from them. And that I often took more."
His eyes meet yours, and his whole face softens. You flushed at the realization that you could make him do that, to have that much power over another being let alone a god.
"I couldn't give up the half, it was mine by birthright but I was slower afterward, let them have more time to themselves. And I never took more than half. The only reason I got called a kind god was because of you."
You stood up, still holding on the cloak and walked over to him. His eyes never left you, and you had to tell yourself to ignore the butterflies in your stomach.
You kneeled next to him and after a second, you reached out to touch his shoulder. You were surprised at how warm he was, how human-like he felt. Maybe you were wrong about him.
"Hypnos. I-I I'm sorry you lost them. I can hear how much you love them, especially after all this time. But I am not whoever you think I-"
"How much I love you." Hypnos interrupted, his hand covered your own. "I never stopped looking for you. I just need more time to fix this." He waved a hand to the wall.
You shook your head, "I am not then though. You are just like my dad, always looking for a person who isn't there."
"No, your father was. The woman who birthed you died and is in the underworld now. You, however, are here in front of me." Hypnos leaned closer, he tightened his hold but it wasn't painful, it was almost comforting. "You are them, your eyes, your lips, your nose even the way you move and talk. You are them, given life again."
"How?!" You said despairing, surely even he could see what nonsense he was saying? "How could a god become reborn as a human? Or even go back to being a god?"
"There are ways. There is always a way." Hypnos replied darkly. He took your other hand and held them between his own warm hands. "You haven't even let me talk to you, to tell you what happened."
"I don't want to." You whispered, "I don't need to know what happened. I just want to know what it will take for you to understand that I am not them."
Hypnos didn't say anything for a few minutes and the silence grew heavy.
"Did he summon you?" You asked, trying not to feel guilty, looking at the swirls of words on the wall, in the middle of the circle was a single red and gold eye staring back.
Hypnos stared at the wall along with you, "He really didn't tell you anything did he?"
You dug out the letter from your front pocket. "This was the last thing he wrote to me. This isn't his normal writing."
Hypnos read the letter, his eyebrows rose and reread it again. "Blood and darkness, what a damn fool."
"Hey, that's my dad you know." You murmured, "Also you guys are both doing the same thing, you with me, and he with my mom."
"No, not nearly the same thing." Hypnos scoffed. You rolled your eyes at his words. You moved on, tired of this fight for now.
"Where did dad get this information anyway?" You asked.
Hypnos sighed as he rubbed his forehead. "From me. I loaned out the books I have for this kind of stuff. He told me that he could handle the translation since it had to be a two person spell, think of it as a bridge, your dad could visit your mom every time he dreamt. But I had to be on the other side to help build it."
"You trusted him? I mean you seem like you don't like humans."
"I didn't. This whole mess just proved my point. But…" Hypnos shrugged, "I knew you wouldn't let me just take you without making sure your dad wasn't alone. I wanted you to want to come back to me, especially after everything I've done."
You brushed your fingers along the cloak, "Are you talking about when you put the whole world to sleep?"
"And most of the gods." Hypnos added. "I still don't remember much of what I did. My mother or brother still hasn't spoken to me since then."
Hypnos looked so worn down, his brow furrowed and you wanted to smooth the stress away from him but you held back. You already let him touch you even if it made you want to run. Toward him or away from him you couldn't say.
"I've been so blinded by the thought of having you in my arms again, I didn't foresee him going rogue on me." He murmured quietly.
Hypnos fixed his gaze on you, but you looked away, cursing the flush on your cheeks.
"I took care of the stuff he wouldn't have been able to do. With the underworld and stuff. But he fucked up, he changed the spell without telling me. And he did it badly. He tried to bring her from the underworld and you can't do that, and now he has to deal with the punishment."
"Well, can't you just erase it? Or do a new spell? I mean, you are a god right? Do you even need this stuff?"
Hypnos slid his fingers under your chin, making you look at him. "Listen to me." His serious tone kept you from pulling away. "No one can't take the dead from the underworld. Not me, not Hades or even my mother. It's the cost of life. Right now, he is being punished for his pride and when he does die, there is a good chance he won't be able to find your mother."
You swallow, your heart breaking, "Is there nothing you can do?"
"I don't know." Hypnos said. "I was already putting my neck on the line just to let them have a link."
"What if I agree to go with you, to see if I am the one you are looking for? I will do whatever you need me to." You asked.
Hypnos didn't respond, his eyes glazed.
"Hypnos, please." You begged, "I can't just let him die like this-"
He spoke finally, "I will talk to Persephone. I can't promise anything. I'm still banned from the house after the 'Great Sleep'."
"Thank you! Thank you, Hypnos." You felt dizzy with relief and hugged him. You squeezed him, and buried your face in his neck. "Thank you."
"Don't thank me yet." Hypnos chuckled, his hands on your back,"You might not like what you'll get."

Repercussions (14)
Masterlist
Pairing: dark!Natasha Romanoff x dark!Wanda Maximoff x fem!reader
Summary: The day to escape has come, and you push your feelings aside to get the job done.
Warnings: dark themes, brief injury mention
A/N: I’m planning on making part 15 the ending (which feels crazy to say!!), but if it turns out to be outrageously long, I’ll split it into two parts. also the book I mentioned is by Aleatha Romig, and I think I may order it to read! it seems like it’s much darker than this story, so please be warned of that if you also decide to give it a chance! anyway, can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Previous part
-
You blinked slowly as you were unwillingly brought to consciousness by the sound of your iPad ringing again. For a moment you sat there, surprising yourself when tears filled your eyes. Sure, you’d had some good moments with your girlfriends despite all the manipulation, but were you really going to miss being held captive?
Deciding not to debate the subject with yourself, you quickly wiped your eyes before rolling over to answer the Facetime call. You were met with the connecting screen and then their beaming faces replaced yours, and a sleepy smile was painted on your features as you realized they were also lying in bed.
“You sure don’t let a girl sleep in, huh?” you teased in a raspy tone, clearing your throat immediately.
“Sorry!” Wanda laughed. “We just wanted to see you before we went to sleep.”
“Are you feeling okay?” Natasha interjected with a frown. “You sound different.”
“I’m fine, just need some water.” You stood with the iPad in your hand, placing it on the bed for a moment while you slipped your robe on. “I don’t know if you remember, but the two of you had me screaming last night.”
“No, we remember very well.”
“Hi, Wesley!” Wanda called as he came into view after pulling the sheets up higher over herself and Natasha.
“Oh, hey guys!”
You handed the device over to him as you walked around him to get water from the fridge, smiling as you overheard his question about the trip and your girlfriends’ enthusiastic responses. Part of you wished this was normal, that your cousin was just visiting while they were out of town and not playing the double role of babysitter for them and partner in crime for you, but you shook the thought away as you were handed the iPad again.
“Good news, printsessa. We should be home in three days instead of five,” Natasha told you with a grin and you gasped.
“Wow, really? That’s amazing! Although I wouldn’t mind if you could come sooner, because I’m getting kind of bored with Wes.” Your sigh turned into laughter as he playfully shoved you.
“Be nice, baby,” Wanda teased with a giggle that was quickly followed by a yawn. “Alright, get some breakfast and we’ll get some sleep.”
“Okay! Text me when you wake up.”
“Of course, printsessa. We love you.”
“Love you too,” you offered with a smile and wave, releasing a deep breath when the call ended.
“You okay?”
“Yeah,” you answered through another sigh. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“You’re actually falling in love with them, aren’t you?”
“Probably.” You dropped the iPad on the table and stepped back to lean against the sink. “But it doesn’t matter anymore. I’m not backing out.”
“As long as you’re sure.” He hands you a plate of pancakes with a sympathetic smile. “I talked to Kendall and the safe house is all set up, just waiting for our arrival. Also wrote down all my contacts and erased everything from my phone and trashed it.”
“We can pack the food after I have a shower,” you added after swallowing a bite of food. “That’ll give them time to fall asleep. Then we can put everything in the car and get the security system disarmed.”
“I’m surprised you’re able to eat right now. I know how nervous you are about this going well.”
You paused with another forkful of pancakes held to your lips, simply shrugging in response. “Turns out I’m a pretty good actress.”
-
As soon as you were dressed you ducked into a camera free zone, checking your device and sighing in relief when you heard their light snores. You wasted no time in making sure you weren’t missing anything in your bag and tucked your burner phone in your pocket as you made your way downstairs.
“They’re asleep,” you announced as you entered the kitchen, stepping over to the counter where Wesley was sorting food into another bag.
“Okay, I’m almost done. I’m only packing snacks from the pantry. We’ll just have to wait until we’re done driving to have a meal. I have bottled water in the car.”
The two of you worked quickly to grab what you could and placed the food and your own personal bags into the backseat before coming back inside and heading to the basement. Wesley picked the lock of the security room and led you inside, and your mouths fell open at the sight. It was bigger than expected, one area of the room dedicated to surveillance of the house and surrounding land, and the other part more of an office area used for mission related things.
Once you’d gotten into the security system, a password protected screen popped up and you took a moment to really think about what it could possibly be. Your mind raced back to the first meeting, first date and any other first that followed, trying not to linger too long on the happier moments.
“What do you think it is?” Wesley finally questioned after a minute of silence.
“Try ‘consequences’.”
A mixture of pride and nausea stirred inside you when you were immediately granted access, but you focused on disabling the security system, jumping to your feet when the two minute timer started. You dropped the tracker on the table before you ran out and got into the car, driving through the gate mere seconds before it began to close. Wesley pulled over to change the license plates once you were a safe enough distance away from the house, and then you were on your way to your new safe home, deep in the middle of Nebraska.
“I have a question,” Wesley broke the silence an hour later, and you turned away from the road to give him your attention. “How did you know the password?”
“It’s the name of the book Natasha was holding when she asked me out. The main character meets a man after work that takes her out to dinner and then kidnaps her, and I don’t know if she knew that when she picked it up or if the summary alone gave her the idea but…It’s just so fucking similar to what they put me through and I just--”
A shiver rippled through you as you allowed your anxiety to take over for a moment, and Wesley was quick to grab your trembling hand in his.
“Hey, it’s okay. It’s over now,” he assured you calmly and you exhaled a shuddering breath as you closed your eyes.
“I really hope you’re right.”
-
On the other side of the world, Natasha and Wanda were just waking up from their night of slumber, and Wanda was quick to grab her phone and text you while the woman beside her stretched and yawned.
“What are you up to?”
“Just letting printsessa know we’re awake now.” Wanda put the phone down with a sigh. “Is it bad that I want to retire soon just so I can go back to waking up next to her everyday?”
“Not at all,” Natasha chuckled lightly, running her palm along her bare spine. “The last mission I went on alone, I could barely sleep. It felt like a piece of me was missing.”
“Heading out in half an hour!”
The two women faced each other as Steve’s voice came through the door, playfully rolling their eyes and sharing knowing smiles as they begrudgingly climbed out of bed.
Unfortunately for them, they didn’t return to their room again until nearly midnight, midafternoon for you, after just barely escaping the base they infiltrated and making tons of detours to ensure they weren’t followed to the safe house. Once everyone’s injuries were tended to, Natasha and Wanda broke away to shower and collapse onto the bed once they were done.
“Tash,” Wanda began, lifting her head to reveal a concerned expression. “Printsessa didn’t text back. She didn’t even open the message.”
“What?”
Natasha comes closer to take the phone, checking for herself and feeling a panic rise in her chest immediately. She quickly switched over the check the live camera footage, and a mix between fear and anger swirled around inside her when she didn’t spot you or Wesley in any of the rooms.
“Fuck!”
“Nat, what’s going on?” Clint questions as he stops in the doorway, noticing the tears beginning to spill down Wanda’s cheeks.
“Get in here and close the door. We have a problem.”

Final Goodbyes
Summary: Your a Youtuber and in a stream you see this pen-pal app and download it, creating an account. This all happened months ago. The guy you met on there was amazing, and you talked for months until he just... stopped.
Genre: Angst?
warnings: swearing, fighting
Requested? No
Word count: 1402
I believe everyone deserves a second chance. No matter how difficult things are. No matter how ugly things got. But maybe sometimes, the problem is that I believe too much. Seeing good in every person, while of course, some people are just... not good.
But that's not how this story goes. No, he is good. I am a hundred percent sure of that. The question is, 'is he willing to change and show that side of him?'. I guess we won't find out if I don't reach out to him huh?
The grey laptop is on my couch, still warm from the last time I used it just an hour ago. Grabbing myself some hot chocolate I lay down on the soft pillows and pull my blanket up to my chest. Whilst finally deciding I'm comfortable in this position I grab the laptop again and open it, typing in my password. The device starts up, letting me in.
"miaow" a soft purring comes from the ground. My cat, Athena, jumps on the couch as soon as I pat it. "Hey there gorgeous" I greet her. The laptop dings, making it clear that it's ready to be used. I give it my full attention again. Should I really open Zaira?
Zaira is an online penpal app where you can anonymously make friends. I signed up about 2 years ago and never really managed to find someone I really hit it off with. You know, I just couldn't find the words to talk to any of the people who messaged me. My anxiety not really helping with making friends, of course, I thought meeting them online would be easier. I was wrong.
No one understood me, which isn't really surprising. I'm a bookworm, but also a gamer. I have lots of hobbies but not quite the energy to pursue them. The only thing that still has me uploading videos and streaming is the money and my supporters. My supporters standing first on the list, of course. I upload mostly gaming videos under the name Void. I go faceless. I never really liked my appearance for that matter.
I hesitate but still open it. The familiar logo greets me and only a moment after that my only friend on the site shows up, bringing back memories.
Zaira? What's this? "An online penpal app where you can add strangers and make friends. Now free in the AppStore!" I read the description out loud for my viewers. "Should I download it guys?" I ask the live chat, hoping they would say yes. Soon enough I get the confirmation from them and I click the button, hoping it won't take too long to download. I create a profile typing in my bio: 'Bookworm, Gamer, Weeb :)' The chat confirms that that pretty much describes me making me laugh. "Perhaps we can actually meet some cool people on here guys! Who knows?""Alright." I scroll through the site, reading people's bios until one of them spots the fans' eyes. The comments are going crazy fast right now. "click them!""omg Void, you have to message Sasori!" and more comments like that. I click on the profile, reading it's bio. Their given name is Sasori Matsudo. I laugh, explaining to some of the viewers that don't watch anime that these are names from Naruto and Death Note. "I suggest you watch them. those are some good animes!".
I smile at the memories and click on his profile. "Sasori Matsudo" the name rolls off my tongue. I chuckle "not a weeb huh?" Slowly looking through the messages, the familiar empty feeling enters my body again. To be honest, it never left. Ever since the fight, it was always there, following my every step. I close my eyes, letting the painful memories flood in again.
"I just don't understand why you can't talk about it with me!" your voice is slightly raised as you hold the phone in your shaking hand. "Because I just can't, okay! I can't keep throwing all of my shit onto you. you know I could never do that!" The man you know as Corpse yells back. You're both stressed out and upset, and this is the worst fight you ever had. You had decided to message 'Sasori Matsudo' on Zaira, and you two grew close very quickly. After 4 months of chatting on the site, he gave you his number. Not long after, he told you That he's the famous Youtuber known as Corpse Husband. You began to watch his videos and enjoyed them a lot, telling him so. In the fifth month of you two knowing each other, You started to call each other once in a while. That turned into calling every day, and soon you were calling more than 4 hours a day.
Your voice softens at his upset tone, realizing you're not the only one hurt here. You give a deep sigh before talking into your phone again. "I'm always here for you Corpse. I don't care how many times you call me, even if it's in the middle of the night. You make me feel better, you make me happy, and I want to be there for you. Please don't shut me out like this." you're practically begging at this point. He can't shut you out! Not like this.
"Void... You know I love you. Please, keep doing what you're doing, keep making videos and baking, and all the little things I love about you. But I just can't continue doing this to you. I'm sorry." He speaks up. The low voice you adore so much is soft and trembling. He sounds like he could break down crying any time now. "No, please, Corpse! Please don't leav-"
your phone lets out a long beep cutting you off. Breaking down crying, you hurl your hand against your mouth, attempting to silence your sobs. On the other side of the line, the man with the curly black mop on his head is doing the same. Tears flow down both of your eyes as void fills your hearts.
It hurts, but he knows he had to do this. He was always troubling you with his feelings, and he couldn't even show you his face! What kind of friend is that? Loud sobs take over his apartment, as his heart hurts, knowing he can't talk to you again.
And he didn't.
You lay on the couch, clenching your blanket awfully hard. You don't notice the tears streaming down your face till Athena climbs onto your lap and licks them off. You cuddle her in an attempt to comfort yourself, as the dark feeling in your chest grows stronger.
You open a new tab and type in his number. All the old messages show up. He probably blocked you, but you have to try. He wanted you to be happy, but then why did he leave you?!
After that night, he never messaged you again. Did he really not want to talk to you anymore? You ask yourself.
But all Corpse has been doing is lay in bed and upload videos once in a while. His followers noticed something is off, and so has his friends. He's acting off whenever he streams and rarely jokes around anymore.
You text him a simple 'how are you' and close your laptop after. The next day you check if he's replied. Nothing. You keep checking for two weeks, but nothing comes in. It's over. He's not coming back. You begin sobbing and lift yourself from the couch, scaring a sleeping Athena. You jog to the kitchen and shove everything off the counter, breaking some cups and plates in the process. Sliding down against the sink, you put your face in your hands, letting out an ear-piercing scream. The weight of the world is crashing down on you, and all you can do is cry and scream. The daydream is finally over.
Corpse saw your message.  He's tried messaging you so many times, but each time he holds himself back. All he wants is to talk to you, but he knows he shouldn't. Well, that's what he believes is best. Every day he thinks about you, thinking that you have already forgotten him, though it's the opposite. You think about him every day, remembering all of the memories.
All the laughs and all the cries. All the comforts, to final goodbyes.

Doors Will Open (Donatello x Reader)
Rated: G
Gender Neutral Reader, pre-relationship, movie night, tenderness, cuddling, supportive brothers
You surprise Donnie with lembas bread for your Lord of the Rings movie night.
for @blancoluna
Donatello is holed up in his laboratory of mischief and oddities when you arrive at the lair bearing treats. But Mikey is there to greet you, jumping out of the Pit to graciously unload the deep tupperware of cookies from your hands.
His eyes twinkle as he leans in to stage whisper, “You’re my favorite, know that?”
April walks up behind him with a gasp of indignation. “I’m gone five minutes!”
“But, but...” He lifts the box in his defense, “Cookies!”
“Ooh.” April’s eyes go wide and warmth floods your cheeks at their enthusiasm. She rubs her hands together with delight. “Can I grab one for the road?” You nod, of course, encouraging her to take as many as she likes. “You’re my favorite too,” she says with a giddy bounce.
Your laughter draws Raphael and Leonardo from the tunnels, and your excitement for the evening mounts. Rising to your toes hopefully, you try to capture a glimpse of Donatello behind them. The tunnel, however, is otherwise empty. Your heart sinks just a little.
Everyone gathers in the kitchen, welcoming you and trying to convince April to stay, but with each passing minute, the absence of your best friend grows harder to ignore.
“Wheel of Time is in my bag,” you mention to Leo half-heartedly. It’s a book series he’s been begging to borrow for ages. You’re proud of yourself for remembering to bring it, and you don’t want to get distracted and forget.
“Thanks!” Leo unlatches your messenger bag immediately, diving into a confession that only serves to prove what a nerd he is. Apparently, he sped through the Lord of the Rings this week in his excitement for the weekend movie marathon. You nod along with an amused smile. You're usually overjoyed to have the fellow bookworm to talk to, but your attention keeps drifting to the empty tunnels.
A lull in his rambling gives you an opportunity to ask, “Is Donnie coming?” You have trouble meeting Leo's eyes, but you try your best to keep the question sounding casual and light. You don’t want Leo, Raph, Mikey, or April to feel like you don’t value their company, but you brought down supplies for Movie Night under the impression Donatello would be joining in; you don’t want to start without him.
“Oh, I’ll get that knucklehead,” Leo says, stacking the books to carry. “He probably just lost track of time.”
Turning from Mikey's final, futile plea for April to stay, Leo heads toward his room to drop off the books, then to the workshop to gather their missing brother.
The muted sounds of tools and machinery come through the heavy door in clanks and whirrs. But Leo knows Donnie won't mind the intrusion.  He raps a knuckle against the small frosted window and gives his brother a shout.
Donatello raises his voice over the buzz of a circular saw to ask, “Emergency?” But the sound of the blade cutting through metal continues without pause.
“No.” Leo won’t lie. He won’t test Donnie’s nerves with trickery, not even when the reveal is something his brother has been looking forward to all week.
“Password?” Donnie counters next.
Leo screws up his face, searching his memories for the right answer. “I don’t know, dude. There’s cookies? And, like, ten hours of movies, so-”
The saw goes silent before the 'shop door opens with a snap. Leo takes a step back to give his brother room.
Donnie’s face pops through the gap, his eyes looking unnaturally large through the magnifying lenses perched atop his beak. “What day is it?”
“Uh, Friday.”
“Y/N is here?”
Leo's exasperated answer hisses through the tunnel. "Yes."
Donatello lets the door swing wide as he pulls off his goggles and hangs them on their hook. “Why didn’t you start with that?” he asks as he tidies up his station. His hands fly over the tables, reorganizing the space for his return. He fumbles his wrenches into their case in his rush. "How long have they been here? Why didn't anyone get me sooner?"
Leo doesn’t hide his grin, so happy to see Donnie this close to admitting his crush. “Oh, so they’re the password, huh?”
Donatello’s blush starts at his neck and rises up to his ears. “That’s not…” He gives a little huff as he rolls his tool cart to its place against the wall. “Shut up, Leo.”
Slinging an arm around Donnie's neck, Leo drags him into the hall. He grinds his knuckles over his little brother's head with a light chuckle.  Though Donnie easily squirms free, Leo knocks him with a shoulder, a tease and a mark of support.
At first, Leo had been reticent to encourage his brother's feelings for you, but over time it's become obvious that Donnie’s affections are far from one-sided. Being what they are, that came as somewhat of a shock to him, but it was the best kind of surprise.
Donnie's lucky to have you in his life. And Leo hopes that one day soon, the two of you will get your acts together. It's about time you two admit just how happy the other makes you.
*
You're picking at the edge of the countertop, stomach in knots, when you hear the echo of footsteps draw near. Leo and Donnie enter the main living space pushing and shoving, but there's not a hint of anger on their squabble. Laughter stretches their smiles wide.
You bite your lips together, anticipating the moment when Donatello finds you. There's become a shared second of pause when you meet, though you don't know when that began. You try to prepare yourself for it each time, but it always leaves you breathless.
When Donatello’s eyes fall on you, his laughter peters out and his smile goes soft. Your lungs ache with the breath you've forgotten to release until Donatello breaks the spell. "I was told there would be cookies?"
You gesture to the box, hoping the slight tremor in your hand isn't obvious. "Lembas, actually." It's silly, your newly developed nervousness around him. Donnie is the person with whom you feel safest, most free to be yourself. He's your best friend in the world.
Your crush on him shouldn't change that. But it does. It could change everything.
Donatello's eyes slide to the box and his jaw drops comically. "Are you kidding me? How did you-? Why did-?" His long strides bring him to the table before he has a chance to form a full sentence.
"It's our weekend," you say. A blush colors your cheeks as you catch your choice of phrase. "I mean, Lord of the Rings weekend. Remember?" You fiddle with the ring hanging from your neck, your fingers running back and forth over the elvish script.
"I didn't. I do now! I didn't realize it was Friday until Leo… But Lembas!" He's probably the biggest nerd of you all.
"Go ahead." The mess of crumbs on the counter is evidence Raph and Mikey have grabbed their share. Thankfully, they left some for the rest of you.
Leo skirts around you to take a cookie for himself while Donatello inspects his square of pastry with care. Turning it over in his hands, Donnie hums. "It smells like citrus and almond."
"There's lavender too," you supply gently. It took a few tries and a few tweaks of the recipe you found to get it just right, but you're quite proud of the end result.
"Yeah," he gives a slow nod. "And lavender. I was getting to that." He looks at you in awe. "This is really… it's so cool."
"You didn't even try it." Your racing heart switches gears from nervousness to anticipation for Donnie to have a taste.
"Oh, right." Donatello takes his first bite, follows it quickly with a second, and the cookie is gone. "Wow." Crumbs fall from his lips and you chuckle at his enthusiasm.
"I can make more," you offer as he reaches for another, "if you guys like them so much."
Donnie nods and drops his gaze as he seems to consider it. "...maybe you can make them here," he says finally. "With me, y'know? Show me how it's done."
Your blush returns at the suggestion and you find yourself hesitant to agree to the plan.
Donatello's eyes blink wide and his almost pout is irresistible as always. You can't fathom why you'd give up the chance to be the one teaching Donatello something for once.
With a leap of your heart, you give in. "Yeah, of course. We can swing by my place later and grab the stuff. Could be fun."
"Could be," he agrees quietly.
Donnie meets your eyes again and the moment of stillness between you stretches long--
Until Raphael speaks up from the couch with an exaggerated groan. "Can ya please get over here already? There's a whole mess of movies waitin' for us and you're busy yappin'."
Donatello grabs the box of cookies and rummages through the cabinet for Pop-Tarts while you make your way over to the TV. Of course, not even lembas can fill his appetite for sweet pastry.
In the Pit, the lighting is dim. Title screen music rises and falls, drawing you into the fantasy world of Middle Earth.
Leo has taken a seat atop the back of the couch to give Raph and Mikey room on the cushions below. At the sight of your approach, Mikey scoots toward his brothers to make you a place by the armrest.
It's a comfortable fit, even for your favorite position, sitting with your legs pulled up, criss cross. But when Donnie comes in, there's no real room for him. He doesn't seem to mind. He places the plate of lembas and box of Pop-Tarts on the coffee table. Then, without hesitation, he takes a seat on the floor in front of you.
Mikey starts up the movie and the epilogue scenes cast the room in shadows and flashes of light. Donatello settles in against your legs and everyone's eyes focus on the screen.
The film plays and the temptation to reach toward Donatello increases with his every shift. Though he hasn't complained, you think he must be uncomfortable down on the floor. If nothing else, the way he rolls his shoulders probably means he's feeling stiff.
It's dark enough, you could lay your hands on his shoulders, work the knots out of his muscles and neck, without attracting the attention of his brothers. But you don't. As you indulge yourself in fantasy, Donatello shifts once more.  He slides into position between your knees and the tails of his bandana catch on the hem of your jeans.
You stare for a moment, unsure if you're allowed to touch. Then, Donnie leans back and smiles up at you and you could swear your heart stops. It only lasts a second before his eyes return to the screen, but it fills you with comfort, confidence, and calm.
Careful not to tug, you take the tails of his mask in hand and lay the long strips of cloth over your lap. With steady passes, the fabric runs through your fingers. It's soft and worn. Stained and fraying on the ends. The movie plays on, but as far as you're concerned there's only this.
You twist the tails of Donnie's mask around your fingers. You tie them into loose knots, losing yourself in the quiet intimacy of having Donatello so close.
Donnie tips his head to the side as you play, turning his body just enough that he can rest his head on your knee.
You bend at the waist and drop your voice as quiet as it can go to avoid being overheard by the others. "You OK?"
Donatello nods, nuzzling his cheek against your knee just enough for you to notice. "It's nice," he says, and you drag the tails of his bandana through your fingers again.
As you sit up, you spare a glance at his brothers. Raph and Leo are sitting forward, elbows on their knees, enraptured by Arwen's race on horseback. But Mikey's watching you through the corner of his eye. He gives you a small, knowing smile before turning his attention back to the screen.
When it's time to switch DVDs, everyone agrees it's time for a stretch.
Donnie's the first one back to the Pit. And he takes it upon himself to lie across all three cushions of the couch with a lazy grin. Mikey doesn't even bother with him, ducking out to meet up with April and leaving his older brothers to fend for spots on the broken recliner and floor.
Donatello makes grabby hands as you return from the kitchen with a pair of sodas. You think he'll sit up, make some room. But to your surprise, Donatello exaggerates his sprawl. He takes the drinks and places them on the floor, then extends his hands toward you again.
You only have a second to register his request before he takes your hand in his and gently pulls you onto the couch with him.
Cuddled up between the couch and your back, Donatello gives a little shimmy and a wistful sigh.
Your heart is racing and you're tingling from your hands to your toes, but fitting against the curves of Donatello's bent knees and soft embrace takes no thought at all. And once you're there, you can't imagine ever wanting to leave.
*
The second Fellowship DVD comes to an end, and Donatello's breath tickles your neck, "One more?"
You shrug into the feeling of his words ghosting over your skin. "I'll fall asleep," you admit regretfully. You're so comfortable in his arms, you don't want to go home. But it's precisely that warmth and safety that are making it so hard to stay awake.
"I won't make fun of you if you snore," Donnie teases. There's soft pressure on your scalp and you're sure that's the feeling of him snuggling into your hair.
"I make no promises," Raph chimes in from the recliner. You'd long since forgotten you had company. The sound of his voice should come as a shock, should have you scrambling out of Donnie's arms. But it's only Raph, and he's picking on you the same as always. And there's a kind of approval in that -- the kind you never dreamed of receiving.
You try to shoot him a scowl, but you're grinning because you can't help it.
*
You were right about having difficulty staying awake. The film isn't on for five minutes before your eyes drift closed.
"Are you asleep?"
"Still listening," you mumble dreamily. Donatello's arms tighten around you and his chin tucks over your head. It's enough to send you adrift into a deep and peaceful sleep.
You wake up in the morning alone but wrapped in a purple knitted blanket you recognize from Donnie's room. You pull it snug around your shoulders as you sit up to check your phone.  There's a text from your roommate and emails that can be ignored, but one notification stands out. You touch the media message from Raphael.
Though you roll your eyes at the blurry thumbnail, your curiosity has you pressing play. The video is only 20 seconds, anyway.
It loads immediately and the image clears. You smile at the closeup of Donatello asleep on the couch. The audio is low but you can clearly make out the snuffling rise and fall of his snores. You allow yourself a little laugh as you watch the video play through again. And you don't miss the way Raphael panned to show you and Donnie together dozing comfortably -- your limbs entangled and your face tucked into the crook of his neck.
You're unsure where you two stand and where your relationship will go, but your stomach is full of butterflies and your heart is content.
"Did you sleep OK?" Donnie asks as he comes in from the kitchen. He's brought tea and toast -- a simple but sweet gesture.
You take a moment to enjoy the sight of him bringing you breakfast 'in bed' and tuck your phone away with a smile. "I slept great."

The Demons Inside- Part 3
Tumblr media
Part 1 (Lucifer)     Part 2 (Mammon)
Word Count: 2185
Description: Levi’s Part of the request “The brothers reacting to an MC crying suddenly in front of them and then trying to act as if nothing happened”
Levi had been waiting for tonight. He’d been antsy about it for days, anticipating it so immensely, he was jittery. Although, it’s entirely possible his twitches and little shakes were thanks to the many energy drinks he had downed today. No matter. He needed to be fully awake and aware in the present. Today he would be spending every hour with the resident human. His Henry, MC.
Envy had nearly driven him mad these past few weeks. MC had done nothing but spend seemingly every precious moment with one of his brothers. Everyone but him. And he knew why, it wasn’t hard to guess. Lucifer was perfect in every way. Mammon--despite his general scumminess--was fun to be around. Satan was vastly intelligent. Asmo was gorgeous and friendly. Beel was strong and supportive. Belphie was relatively calm and clever. And him? Well, he was an eccentric shut in. But despite all that, MC had made sure to hang out with him today, on a day where they both knew no one would be around to bother them.
He jolted out of his frantic thoughts as soon as a knock could be heard from the door. Usually, he’d have his visitor answer, but he was aware of who it was, and he was so excited to get on with their activities he had no patience for his many passwords. Swinging the door open with quite a wild look in his eyes, MC appeared a bit startled. Levi, feeling embarrassment seep into his bones over his eagerness, had his face flush a bright red. Adjusting to his normal sheepish behavior let MC smile, holding up some grocery bags he could see were filled with a plethora of snacks and drinks.
“Sorry I’m a bit late,” MC apologized as Levi held the door open for them to enter his room. “Not only did I buy some snacks, but I had to shoo away my chauffeur.”
Levi shook his head, his long bangs threatening to cover his vision. His core sin threatened to burn at the thought of, again, any sibling other than himself hanging out with MC. Maybe he had wanted to go to the store to buy snacks, so why did MC not ask him? You hate the grocery store, you know that, he reprimanded himself. “No worries, it gave me time to clean my room a bit!” Levi pushed his intrusive thoughts to the back of his mind as he gestured proudly at his now immaculate room. Trash was devoid from the floor, old clothes were put in the laundry bin-- “And I even dusted off all my figures!” To prove his claim, he snatched a frilly figure off one of his many shelves, holding it out to MC as they observed it.
They beamed at him, forcing a persistent flutter in Levi’s chest. “It looks great!” Levi noticed something lacking from their expression, like they seemed a bit drained. This urged him to take the items from them and shut his door before the human could think of leaving. Was that faded smile due to him? Had they not been looking forward to this as much as he had? Did they not want to be here? Panic made it hard for him to breathe, but he handled it as best as he could as he pulled up a second chair to his desk for the human to sit in. MC’s eyes flickered over his fancy monitors and equipment, slightly transfixed by all the pretty lights.
“I’ve got lots of things planned, if that’s okay,” Levi told them, the confidence in his voice wavering. The last thing Levi wanted was for himself to blow this fun day with something stupid.
They nodded to assure him, and while their smile might’ve still shown hints of something more, Levi’s panic melted away. “Of course! What’re we doing first?”
Too giddy for words, he opened a game on his desktop, doing his best to explain the rules to MC as he handed them a controller. It was some kind of online fighting fantasy game, and while there were many like it, Levi promised that this was the best of the bunch. They both settled in, picking their characters. Without a second thought, Levi picked his; a bright colored female character with a glowing staff and too many bows on their clothes to be considered natural.
“This is Luma, she’s my main! Who’re you choosing?” Levi squirmed in his seat, ready to get started.
“I don’t know...there’s so many to select from...I’ll just pick someone random for now,” MC shrugged, clicking on the first character that caught their eye. Not wanting to waste any more time, Levi set up a lobby for their matches.
Everything had gone fine...at first. Of course, MC kept dying, but Levi assured them it was their first time playing the game, and the character they had picked was set at a larger difficulty than others. The human nodded and pushed forward. The first match ended with MC getting no kills, stacking up the most deaths, and looking at Levi’s score in shame as the demon had racked up more K.O.s than any other player combined.
MC laughed sheepishly, letting the controller settle languidly in their hands. “Guess I’m no good at this game.”
A pang of something familiar flashed through their eyes, and Levi felt the pain. “Not true! Here, try this character, they’re ranged and a little op, so you’ll be just fine!” They started again, Levi bursting forward from the starting point, already landing a triple kill. Meanwhile, all MC got ten seconds away from base was a magical explosion to the face, killing them rather instantaneously. The further they went forward, the more MC’s shoulders slumped. The more they died, the more the fun light they had started with drained in their eyes. At one point, after MC had gotten nuked right after they respawned, their character stopped moving. Levi glanced to the side, watching as MC placed the controller away from them on his desk as they used their hands to cover tears starting to drift down their face.
Panic flared in his chest again, his skin prickling. He practically threw his own controller away from him, turning in his fancy gaming chair as he placed his hands on their knees. “What?! What happened? What did I do? Oh no, you hate me now, right?” As they sniffled and sobbed, his lungs felt themselves shrink smaller and smaller, air struggling to get in. The match ended, and before it could automatically have them play again, he turned to the screen to leave the lobby. Fumbling with the cursor, he ended up closing the game altogether instead of trying to remember where the Leave Match button was. Swiveling back to look at the human, he blinked in confusion when their eyes were dry and their grin was fully repainted on their lips.
“MC? But you were--”
“--Oh, it was nothing, I had an eyelash in my eye. Want more snacks?” They interrupted him as well as quickly changing the subject. They lied to him, right to his face. Something was up, and yet they would rather do anything else than tell him. Despair overtook his thoughts as MC refused to look at him, opting instead to reach for a bag of puffy chips.
Speaking low, the demon of envy clutched the fabric over his heart as he felt it breaking. “You can’t stand me now, is that it?” Levi brought his arm up to cover his eyes as his mind swirled in dark reasoning, coming to the wrong conclusions out of self-depreciation. “You didn’t even want to hang out with me in the first place?! You came to my room out of pity?! You’re so ashamed to be with me you had to cry?!” His demon form slid into view, his tail slinking against the cold tiles of his floor. Hot salty drops of tears streamed down his own cheeks, his fingers moving up to wrap themselves in his hair as his Envy began to spiral out of control. “Of course you’d rather be with my brothers, of course. Why would you want to hang out with someone like me when...when…”
“When you’re a demon? When you’re a powerful ruler of hell? When you have extraordinary powers?!” Levi lowered his hands and opened his eyes at MC’s escalating volume. Their lip quivered, the bag of snacks fell from their grasp, now abandoned on the floor. “These past few weeks since I’ve been hanging out with your brothers really just drove home how...useless I am. I’ll never be as put-together as Lucifer. I’ll never be as cool as Mammon. I’ll never be as smart as Satan, as pretty as Asmo, as strong as Beel, as witty as Belphie. And I--and I thought maybe hanging out with you would make me feel better but--” Their voice cracked, resulting in the demon nearly flinching as the pain in their voice almost physically hurt him. He expected them to list the many reasons they couldn’t stand to be around him, how he had done everything wrong. Expecting the worst, he curled up in his seat. “But I can’t even play a game correctly...I can’t do anything...I just wanted to be fun like you…”
He had seen so many shows and anime, read so many perfect fantasy romance novels, played so many dating games, he knew exactly what to do. He’d wrap them into his arms and say some gushy poetic speech that would make sparks fly and every bit of doubt in each of them flow away. And yet...all he could bring himself to say was, “H--huh??” A few lingering tear droplets let themselves drift down his face as he attempted to process the words he had just heard. They both sat in a painful silence for a moment, both blubbering messes, both ashamed to be looked at by the other. But as Levi finally comprehended what MC had told him, he began to laugh. “You were envious of me?!” Falling into a giggle fit, MC stared at him, jaw agape. “I was worried that--that you thought I wasn’t good enough for you!”
MC briefly wondered if they had broken him. “But you’re a powerful demon!”
“You’re an amazing human! You watched me dance in cosplay for four hours the other day!” The mental image of the situation bubbled in MC’s brain, causing their tears to transform into laughter alongside Levi. The two of them chuckled uncontrollably, drying their cheeks, thankful they were alone in the room, far from judging eyes.
“You made a cute magical girl,” MC grinned, no malice or intent to harm behind the teasing words. “But...I still don’t see how you can possibly think I’m amazing. I have little talent, no grand prospects for my future, no powers to speak off, a plain personality, and I have the obvious penchant for crying over silly things.”
Biting his lip, Levi slid his own chair closer to theirs, the armrests brushing side by side. “Umm...well...the--the way I see it, you have things that are almost impossible for demons to have. Compassion, empathy, an open mind, it takes a lot of effort for demons to feel those things. It’s something that is rare to find in any living being nowadays, except for maybe angels, but even then you’ve heard Luke’s opinions on demons. Angels do like to condemn. I don’t know what’s typical in the human world but you seem rather extraordinary to me.” Taking a deep breath, he gently used his thumb to wipe away the last stray tear on the human’s face. With a single finger, he rubbed absentminded circles into MC’s knee. “Anyone different would’ve taken one look at my brothers and I and ran away as fast as they could...and yet you stayed. We’ve done everything we can to push you away, and yet you never gave up on us...on me...You’re wonderful, more than I could ask for, I--” He cut himself off, cheeks burning red as he bit his tongue to stop himself from speaking. He’d almost let something embarrassing slip. Racking his brain for something else to say, he felt the tips of his ears start to burn as MC grabbed his hand and let it settle in their palm. “I don’t think,” Levi blurted, recalling and nearly quoting a line from a Ruri-Chan anime, “that worth is defined by power and popularity. I like you just the way you are, isn’t that enough?”
MC initiated it first, almost fully sliding into his lap as they moved from their chair into his to hug him. To prevent them from falling since his seat was only made for one person, he wrapped his arms tightly around their waist.  Both of them felt the heat and warmth from one another. It made Levi want to melt and yet explode at the same time. MC pulled him close, his face pressed against their shoulder. “Thank you, Levi.”

LOVE ME AGAIN; special episode
(Missing him Badly)
Kuroo x OC
-
You wake up after you dozed off this afternoon, you are tired and it’s a good thing your daughter is so busy playing with her toys with her nanny. You look outside and it's already dark. You felt a bit cold. Then you remember you forgot to put the comforter and even forgot to set the aircon to low. You were so lazy to get up but you feel hungry and at the same time don't want to shower. And your daughter probably wants to eat together with you.
You should have showered at this time. Because at 6 pm your husband will arrive. But not today you think. He's been busy.
Kuroo Tetsuro, the president of the company who recently hit millions of sales in the world market. He is your husband who is currently MIA for three days now. He's not actually missing but he's not been home for days. He's been busy, trying to close a deal with Argentina and Brazil. You're okay with it on the first day but you're worried as days passed. He tends to forget to eat when he's into his work.
You looked at the clock on your bedside table, and it's already 7:15 pm. You got your phone tucked on your pillow and started to speed dial your husband's number.
"Hello, mam." a familiar voice of a woman once again answered your call.
"Is he still busy, Rei?" you asked.
"I'm so sorry mam, but the president is still at the online conference with the Brazil representatives. Do you want to leave a message so that I can deliver it to him later?" the kind secretary feels sorry and offers it to comfort you.
You sighed a bit heavy.
"Thank you, but just let him know I called again." This is your 5th call for the whole day, and you haven't got a chance to talk to him.
"Understood mam." The kind secretary says.
"Did he need something? Like a change of clothes, he's been there for 3 days now. Did he always eat on time?" you added, a bit worried about your husband who always so focused on his job.
"Don't worry mam, he always orders something for the team, he also eats on time. We even heard him muttering something like "I miss my wife's cooking" and he's in a bad mood when his work keeps filling up. We can really feel how he wanted to go home." She said as you both laugh at the man's silent complaints. You felt happy, despite your bad cooking, he still missed it.
That made your heart feel happy.
"I guess he's still good. Just make sure he eats on time and just tell me if he needs something." You felt a bit relieved from what you heard from the secretary.
"Will do mam. I'll report it to you if he becomes stubborn and won't eat on time." the secretary makes sure about it.
You can't help but giggle a little, he got a good secretary. "Thank you so much, Rei. You too, don't skip dinner. Goodbye."
"Thank you mam, goodbye." and you end the call.
When suddenly Megumi runs towards you.
“Mama, let’s eat! Let’s eat!”
You laughs and you kiss her on her cheeks.
“Let’s go eat dinner then, baby.”
You stand up and walk hand in hand with your cute daughter.
***
To make the time pass after dinner, you started to fold some laundry and clean stuff. It's night time and only soft instrumental music surrounds your house.
Megumi is also busy “messing” with the clean clothes at the moment.
"Mam, where do we put these plants you bought?" your maid asked you.
"Just put it in the garden, for now, I'll fix it tomorrow." You said it while you folded some of your clothes and put it down on the bed.
Even if you got 5 housemaids, you at least want to personally clean and wash your husband's clothes and stuff. Tetsu loves the fabric conditioner you used to wash clothes. He even stops using his perfume and it pains you because you love his musk smell. Very manly you may say. It adds to his sexiness. Thinking about that, you started to ponder how you miss your husband.
 ***
"Hey kitten, did you miss me?" he whispered to your ear.
"T-tetsu, don't come to me like that! You'll give me a heart attack." You said it as he hugs you from the back.
"Then how should I ‘cum’ to you?" he sexily whispered to your ear.
You automatically felt hot flowing to your body. He's making you turn on.
You felt your blush, remembering last week's happening.
 ***
Sex huh? It's been weeks since you guys did the thing. You can't hide it but you miss him. You miss him and his arms caging your small body, his hands cupping your face as he will deeply kiss you and make you his woman. Oh, you can't wait to see him again. You shake your head and put his jacket on your face, smelling him. Even though it's a new freshly washed cloth, it's still him. You really miss him.
***
8pm, and you haven't had anything to do. You eat dinner a little and after that, you go to your bed and open your laptop in hopes to see how your friends have been doing lately on Facebook.
You saw some familiar faces who are online.
Some are from the Karasuno volleyball team you befriended way back in high school. Some Nekoma High classmates and schoolmates and from Fukurodani High.
You can't hide your smile remembering some old sweet memories you had in high school.
With those feelings right now, it really makes your heart flutter just by looking at the photo frames that are inside your room.
You look around and on the other side of the room is the Nekoma VC with you awkwardly standing next to Kuroo, your high school inter-high, your graduation and you and Kuroo's photo when you two are still dating, his proposal, and of course, your wedding picture.
After your marriage, every day has been so happy and perfect. You really love him.
And finally your picture with you and Kuroo’s sweet girl; Megumi.
Megumi is already 5 years old right now, and she grows quite faster that you wish you can stop time so that she will remain your cute, little sweetheart forever. But you know that’s not possible.
“Mama, where is papa?” Megumi darted at the door.
“Hi sweetheart! Yeah unfortunately he’s still busy. Let’s wait for him for a bit okay?” You said as you sat down in front of her.
“But it’s been a week.” she pouted.
You even smiled seeing her this cute. If only Tetsu sees it, you think.
“Can’t he skip it?” Your daughter still insists.
“That won’t do, baby. Papa works harder for you.” You slightly pinch your daughter’s nose.
“But I miss him, mama.” she then pouts again.
You hug your daughter.
“I know. Me too sweetheart. But I’m sure he will come home soon. Because he missed you too.”
“Really?” She’s so cute asking you.
“Of course, because papa loves you.” and you kissed her on his forehead and she kisses you too.
 ***
The time is 8 pm when suddenly, your phone rings. Seeing the name on the screen, 'Hubby', you answered it so fast that you almost threw away what you were holding.
"Hello wife." a deep voice echoed on your ears. It's like that voice can make you calm and you even felt how sweet his voice is. You have to hold on to something so you can support your body, who yearns for him.
"Hey husband, I miss you. When will you come home?" you're smiling while saying husband. It's like you two are just newlyweds.
"I miss you too, wife. Few more and I'm done. I'll let them do the rest since I've done the crucial one. Did you have dinner? Want me to buy you something?" His sweet voice never fails to bring you to your happy place.
"Just come home straight, baby. Plus your daughter is demanding you to skip your work." You can’t help but laugh a little on your daughter’s demand.
You heard a little chuckled on the other line. As if you see him shift his body to the other side. “Is she? Haha, well I guess my little lady is the more demanding one than her mother.”
You laugh at his comment.
“I really wanna see you.” you actually made your voice a bit sexier.
You heard a deep sigh on the other line, and it was so manly.
"Me too, I really miss you." He emphasized the word you. And you know what he means.
"I'll buy you something, I know you will like it." You still have your smiling face and you know he's preparing to leave.
"Just message me if you change your mind and want something else, okay? I'll hang up. Be there soon, my kitten." And it's like a password, you really know he plans something when he calls you kitten.
"Okay then, I'll wait for you." You started to feel hot inside.
You drop the call. And after that, you started to run to the bathroom because you remember to haven't taken a shower. You didn't expect him to come home tonight anyway.
All you knew is, you are happy and contented with your so called perfect world with your family. Your love for your husband and child will be forever.

“not too long ago...”
part 3
part 1 | part 2
Three days later, Clementine was ready to leave the hospital wing. She changed into her robes and made her way to the Gryffindor common room.
"Clementine!"
Clementine turned her head to the voice and raised an eyebrow.
"It is Clementine, right?" Regulus questioned.
"Yes. Clementine Orleans." She nodded, "Regulus Black?"
Regulus nodded, leaning on the wall.
"Where are you off to?" He asked.
"The Gryffindor common room."
Regulus made a face and nodded, "met your dorm mates yet?"
"...No, I've just been released from the hospital wing." She responded, looking down the hall where she saw Sirius peak out from behind wall.
"I could help you if you'd like, I could-"
"Please, a Slytherin taking our sweet Clementine to the Gryffindor common room?" Sirius stepped in, "we'll take it from here, brother."
Regulus glared as James, Remus, and a blond haired boy whom Clementine hadn't met stepped into place, alongside Sirius.
Remus warily eyed the two brothers. James gently grabbed Clementine's arm and pulled her alongside him. She looked at him, her eyebrows furrowed.
"What?" She asked, slightly annoyed at their 'heroic' act.
"You don't want to mess with the wrong crowd, Orange." James whispered in her ear, "stick with us. Just for now, okay?"
Clementine, although begrudgingly, nodded. However she yanked her arm from James' grip and stepped forward.
"Thank you for the offer, Regulus," she said, "but I think I'll be fine. I'll let you know if I need any help getting to classroom, though."
She gave him false hope, as she already knew her way around the school. James and Remus held their grin but Sirius smirked in accomplishment as his brother frowned slightly.
"Okay." Regulus nodded, "erm... don't be a stranger!" He said, walking away.
Clementine physically cringed at the remark and turned towards the four boys. Before she could say anything, James introduced the blond haired boy.
"This is Peter." James introduced, "Peter, this is Clementine."
Peter smiled shyly and Clementine gave him one fleeting glance before she started scolding.
"Listen. I know my way around, alright? I don't need you to help me either, I know how to take care of myself." She snapped, "now if you'll excuse me."
She walked past them, stuffing her hands in her pockets. James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter ran after her.
"Come on, Orange." James started, "Dumbledore has assigned us to help you around! And besides, you don't even have your wand yet, you need us!"
"I don't need you, I can do wandless magic!" Clementine insisted.
"Ugh, we were just trying to hellllp." Sirius said, dragging out the word 'help.'
"Don't be angry at us." James pleaded.
"I'm not angry at you." Clementine rolled her eyes, "Annoyed, yes. Angry? No."
"Why are you annoyyyyyyed?"
"Because you're talking like that."  Clementine stated.
Remus, Peter, and James chuckled together as Sirius' face dropped. His walking slowed down a bit as he sulked silently. Remus and James caught up with Clementine.
"So you know your way around already?" James questioned, his hands swinging by his side.
Clementine nodded, turning a corner. The boys followed.
"How fortunate- well, unfortunate that you can't remember your actual life but you can remember Hogwarts." Remus stated, James nodding in agreement.
"Well Hogwarts is hard to forget, isn't it?" Clementine replied simply, finally reaching the Fat Lady.
"What's the password?" Clementine asked Remus.
"Courage." Remus replied and the frame pushed back to reveal the Gryffindor common room.
Clementine felt a wave of déjà vu wash over her, as she looked over the warm room. She felt at home. She then looked to Remus, the passcode making her cringe.
Clementine scrunched up her nose at the password, "stereotypical." Remus nodded in agreement.
"You'll be staying with Lily." James said suddenly, as if something had just occurred to him. Remus, Peter, and Sirius shared a look, shaking their heads.
"Who?" Clementine asked, still slightly mad at them.
"His crush." Remus replied, "for the past six years."
Clementine felt a sense of déjà vu again, she ignored it and carried on with the conversation.
Clementine whistled lowly, "six years, huh?"
"Shut up, there she is-" James hushed, playing with his hair and walking up to Lily.
Lily ignored him and moved to Clementine.
"Hi." She said, ignoring James yet again when he stood next to her and said, "Hi lily."
"Hey." Clementine nodded to her, "I'm Clementine."
"That's a lovely name. My name's Lily. Come on, I'll get you introduced to the girls." Lily said, almost rushing to get away. She grabbed Clementine's arm and pulled her away.
As she was being pulled away, Clementine turned her head to the boys, who all gave her hopeful smiles. Clementine returned it and turned her view back to the front of her.
"Have you been around with them this entire time?" Lily asked her once they were alone.
"Yeah?"
"Merlin, I am so sorry for not rescuing you sooner." Lily apologized as they walked into the girls dorms.
"What? No, it's alright. They're alright. A bit annoying, but they've been huge help." Clementine replied, "really it's fine."
Lily sent a her look, as to say 'really?' but then she nodded and looked around the room.
"Marlene, this is Clementine." Lily said brightly, "she's a transfer."
Oh, yes. That's what the school had been told; Clementine was a transfer, she had been homeschooled but due to her parents being busy with work, she had to move to Hogwarts.
"Hey." Clementine smiled at Marlene.
"I'm Dorcas. Dorcas Meadowes." A dark skinned girl stood up from her bed and made her way to Clementine.
"You have a pretty name." Clementine complemented, her lips parted slightly when she met Dorcas' eyes.
Marlene and Lily shared a look, smirks on their faces.
Dorcas smiled at Clementine and blushed, "I like your eyes."
When someone cleared their throat, she turned around to reveal Alice Fortescue sitting on her bed.
"That's Alice." Marlene interjected, moving to sit next to Alice. The two held hands.
"Hi." Alice smiled, "I like your hair."
Clementine looked down to her hair, almost as if just then realizing that her tips had been dyed red.
"Thank you. I was actually going to get it done again." Clementine replied, noticing how long her hair was.
The girls kept complimenting her, Clementine wasn't used to this- ..or was she? Her memory loss was starting to annoy her.
"Maybe for our next hogsmeade trip we could all go." Dorcas started, "if none of us get asked to go with someone."
"Oh! That reminds me, we should probably get you caught up- socially." Lily said suddenly, "also, that's your bed over there. In the middle, between Dorcas and I."
Lily pointed to a bed, and Clementine went to go sit on it. Once they were all sitting on their beds, Marlene started.
"Alice and I are dating." She began, "Dorcas is dating some Ravenclaw bloke,"
"His name is Everett." Dorcas cut in.
Clementine couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed at this fact. A small part of her hoped that Dorcas would be available.
Marlene brushed her off and continued, "And Lily-pad over there is single, though she's crushing on Diggory-"
"No I'm not!" Lily interrupted, before Marlene could even finish her sentence.
"Don't lie." Dorcas grinned, "although, Potter's been after her for years, Clementine. And now Lily's going to break his heart."
"Shut up." Lily scoffed, playing with a loose string on her duvet.
"Anyway, Clementine has made friends with the boys." Lily changed the subject.
"Oh, has she?" Dorcas raised an eyebrow, looking over to Clementine.
"They've showed me around. Dumbledore has assigned them to be my guides to the school, as I'm new here." Clementine lied.
She couldn't tell anyone else about how she really got here, too many people already knew.
"Rotten luck." Marlene scrunched up her nose, "they're horrid- except for Remus."
Alice nodded, "Remus is nice."
"They're all alright, so far. Far too heroic for my liking though. I'm not a damsel in distress." Clementine rolled her eyes.
"They all must be happy, though. A pretty girl assigned to them, they'll always have to be with her. I'd be happy too, if I were them." Dorcas grinned.
Clementine looked over to Dorcas, a small smile playing at her lips.
"Do you know your classes?" Inquired Alice.
Clementine nodded, going to her trunk and looking around until she found her schedule.
"You seem to be placed to have at least one of the boys in each one of your classes." Marlene mentioned, showing the other girls Clementine's schedule.
"I'm in charms with you." Lily said, "and transfiguration."
"We're all in potions together." Dorcas added.
"I have dark arts with you." Alice grinned, "thank merlin, it's with the dodgy slytherins."
"I have charms with you too, and history of magic." Marlene looked down at Clementine's schedule, "oh you're taking the apparition lessons?"
Clementine nodded, even though this had been new knowledge to her.
"Apparently," she muttered, shrugging.
"Well, dinner's in about twenty minutes." Lily announced, "I'd say we let Clementine get ready and go together."
"I'm ready." Clementine said, making Dorcas laugh.
"We don't need to wear our robes for dinner."
That's when Clementine realized that she was the only one wearing robes.
"Oh." She said, dumbfounded. "Well then-"
Clementine shrugged off her robes, wearing a black shirt and a pair of jeans underneath.
"Right then," Marlene started, "let's go!"

Life Goes On~ (Pt. 4)
↳ miya osamu x f!reader
↳ fluff, comedy??
↳ 2.6k
↳ status: ongoing
↳ parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
You suddenly appear in haikyuu after watching the show for weeks now, and you’re trying to find a way out. Deciding to make the most of it, you learn from these talented volleyball players, cuz why waste an opportunity? You weren’t meant to fall in love with any of them, but with Osamu’s alluring formosity and talent, you can’t help but rethink your life that has led up to this exact moment.
Tumblr media
It’s Sunday afternoon. During the span of two days, you tried to contact someone who could help you, but it was no use, because of course, no one believed your story. On the other hand, you became a little bit more acquainted with Osamu and his too-clean apartment.
Sighing, you turn away from your borrowed laptop as you focus on Osamu’s pencil that was writing unfamiliar calculus signs on his homework paper.
“Wait- what am I going to do?”
“Hm?” Osamu doesn’t turn around as he responds.
“Don’t I have to enroll in your school? Which is the nearest one, I suppose. The hours will pass by too slowly for my liking, and I must receive my education”
Osamu’s gaze lands on you. “You could contact the principal and ask if you could attend for a few weeks with an excuse.. You’re a… 1st year?”
“Yeah.”
Silence fills the room as the two of you brainstorm.
“I guess I could do that; do you know what the principal’s phone number is? And we’ll call as an unknown number. Can you lend me your phone?”
Osamu shrugs as he enters a password, opening the calling app to the principal’s number, and hands over his phone, fingers accidentally brushing yours, making the atmosphere a little awkward.
You press the call button after quickly switching the number identity, and someone on the other end answers.
“Hello?”
“Hi.” quick. make up a name. You fake a cough, changing your voice tone. “I’m Kagai Yinimi, Y/N’s mother. We recently moved to Japan, and I have not yet found a school fit for Y/N, but tomorrow is supposed to be the day she needs to go to school. Is there any way you could clear a spot for her?”
“Excuse me?”
You didn’t realize you just spoke English. Then it hit you. The whisper from your dream. This situation now. You’re a polyglot. (someone who can speak multiple languages fluently) You weren’t one before. So had haikyuu changed anything about you? But most importantly, why can’t you control it?
*ahem* go with the weird-everything-goes-her-way mom tone. “I’M TELLING YOU- Y/N NEEDS HER EDUCATION! COULD YOU PLEASE CREATE A SPOT FOR HER?? SHE CAN CATCH UP, AND, UM, SHE SPEAKS JAPANESE TOO!!”
During this whole time, Osamu was looking at you with a “what the heck are you doing” expression.
You shoot him a “come help me” glance.
Osamu takes the phone from you, alters his voice tone, and says, “Sorry. My, uh, wife can’t speak Japanese yet. But she’s saying that we just moved here, and Y/N, our daughter” *pauses* “-needs a school. Is there a spot for her?”
Silence first. But after about fifteen seconds, he responds.
“Yes. However, the prefecture needs more information about this, um, transfer student. How old is she?”
“15.”
“Parents name…”
So, after forty minutes, Osamu was finally able to enter you in the school.
You feel too grateful to the point that guilt eats at you for what Osamu’s doing for you, although he did have to tell the principal lies, but only because he doesn’t know you well
As Osamu ends the call, he turns around and asks “so what was all that? You can speak fluent English?” You stare at him quizzically. “Of course I can! Do you think I’m uneducated??”
He laughs, but you notice a hint of relief. “No. But why did you speak English to the principal even though you could’ve talked to him in Japanese?”
“Uh- I- the thing is, well, I’m not sure if this theory is accurate,” you said slowly, “but I think that if I talk too quickly, I speak English and if i speak a little slower like right now, I talk in Japanese” you shrugged. “I don’t really know”
Osamu looks confused for a second. You can hear him mutter “things are really weird right now”
“Mhm. Sorry, but it really wasn’t my fault that i’m in another dimension” like hell it wasn’t
He sighs slightly, then suddenly looks a little less pressured. How did he manage to change his expression so quickly??? uwu
“anyways, the principal says that tomorrow morning you can visit the main office and pick up your schedule. I could take you there-”
You cut him off. “Again, it’s ok; you don’t really have to do that- Uh, also, don’t I need textbooks? Once again, I apologize-”
“No,. it’s fine. Like I said, I’m glad to help- As for the textbooks, the teacher gives them out at the beginning of the school year, but you could ask the office tomorrow”
He smiles- a little weary, but still breathtakingly beautiful.
“Thanks again.” You feel an urge to hug him right then, but you don’t, instead walking back to your room. Because, after all, you need to return to your home and away from everything you’ve seen in these past few days.
Several more hours pass, lapsing into the night, and then morning. 5:30 A.M.
You yawn, stretching your arms and kicking the covers. Another day, another chance.
Wait- why was it nearly 5:30 in the morning? Didn’t Osamu say yesterday that school started at 7:50? It was way ahead of your usual wake time.
You hastily brush your teeth, untangle your hair as quickly as possible, change into your own clothes, and open the door, tiptoeing across the living room toward the other room to ask Osamu why his usual alarm was set so early in the morning.
But he’s already up, making breakfast. He turns around and notices you walking strangely about the living room.
Shoot.
You fake-cough and stand up straight, brushing off imaginary debris from your shirt. “Good morning? Um, also why is your- I mean my alarm set at this time?
“Because we have volleyball practice, remember? And you asked me for help. So it would be rather convenient to watch us practice.”
“Oh yeahhhh- I forgot. Sorry. By the way, do you live by yourself? I mean, without your parents or any siblings?”
Osamu nods, his eyes still focused intently on whatever he’s cooking.
“Okay. Uh, I was also wondering what people would think if you, um, suddenly came to school after a weekend with an, uh, immigrant, or whoever they think I am. You know what I mean?”
“Oh.” He seems thoughtful. “I could say you’re my cousin who’s staying at my apartment for around a year” He shoots a look at you. “Because, you don’t really know when you’ll be returning, right?”
You glance at the clock. It’s exactly 5:39 A.M.
“Yeah. So when does practice start?”
“You do ask a lot of questions, huh?” You can see the hint of a smirk on his cheek, making you blush. “At 6 A.M.”
“So then why are you packing a lot of food?”
“My lunch, remember?” Now he finishes preparing the light breakfast and lunch, turning around. “And yours too.”
You stare at Osamu for a little longer than usual, but quickly catch yourself, averting your eyes from his.
“Thank you again. I really don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t there to help me.”
You chuckle. It was such a lucky turn of events to meet him.
“Well, we only have around ten minutes to finish breakfast and clean up, so let’s hurry.”
At approximately 6:00, you and Osamu enter a particularly large gym where a group of boys, the volleyball team, is warming up.
Whispers spread among them as they notice you following Osamu.
“Uh, ‘Samu? Who’s she?” A tall blond-haired boy, probably Atsumu, gestures toward you.
Ah, so he wasn’t the flirting type that your friends like. Better tell them after you get back. If you even get back. If they would even believe you then.
“Oh, Y/N? She’s our cousin. She’s staying at my apartment”
You were pretty sure everyone on the team noticed the glare he shot at Atsumu. And you desperately wanted to climb under a rock and never come out. Nobody would believe that story now.
“Uh, well I’m only here to observe your practice. I just wanted to see everyone’s volleyball techniques and learn from there! Since I really want to advance my volleyball skills-” You cut in.
Your insides were shaking from the looks these tall boys gave you. You personally didn’t like the fact that people would view you as only Osamu’s cousin, but on the other hand, things could get fun.
“Sorry if I’m wasting everyone’s practice time. I- I should go”
“No, it’s fine.” A silver haired boy, whom you noticed was Kita, steps forward. “It’ll be nice to have someone watching and learning from our practice. And so that some people-” he shoots a glance at the twins “-won’t fool around.”
Ah. So he noticed how serious Osamu acted in front of you.
“Thank you.” You look down at your tattered shoes.
Although a few members of the team look at you cautiously, the others smile at you kindly.
As practice continues, you notice that there isn’t a female manager anywhere in the gym. Shaking your head, you focus again on the practice rally raging on. It was amazing how you had never known any sport that would involve so much shouting to cooperate and energy to race after the ball.
You were taking mental notes on volleyball techniques when a ball whizzed past you. You could literally feel the force traveling with the ball near your cheek. But then again, you were used to that stuff.
It bounced off the side wall and miraculously ended up beside your left foot. You picked up the ball carefully, checking for the brand name, and contented, threw it toward the next server. Atsumu. You had watched their routine, and it seemed that someone on the team or on the sidelines would retrieve the ball depending on where it was. So you had no worries of being judged. But all those thoughts vanished as Atsumu frowns at you.
And without even knowing the reason why he did so, you frown right back. It isn’t a big deal, but you decide that you would get over with Osamu’s twin brother right now. But then he smirks, averting his hazel eyes from you.
Out of the corner of your eye, a boy with weird dark hair turns away, clicking away on his phone.
“So what’s the deal with my brother?” Osamu asks as he leads you to the principal’s office at 7:20.
“Oh, nothing, just that he’s kinda rude?? And he doesn’t even know me! So why does he act like I’m his enemy? Wait- sorry I didn’t mean-”
“I agree.”
“HUh?” You looked at him, slightly amazed. “Oh yeah. You fight all the time.” No surprise there. “Welp, let’s see if we have any classes together in my new schedule”
Two minutes later~
“crot this” you mutter under your breath. “What am I supposed if I only have one class with you? If someone bullies me, I won’t make it out alive!!” you complained, voice lowering by the second as students nearby shoot looks at you. You could only imagine what they were thinking that had something to do with the new student, you.
“You’re exaggerating. It’s okay though, you have a class with Kita and two with Atsumu”
“oH okay, so you’re saying I have to put up with him??”
“Ignore him” He shrugs, indifferent about your so-called situation.
“Okay....”
The first part of the day went by fine. Except for some skeptical and often rude looks thrown in your direction, the teachers seemed kind and schoolwork was a breeze.
Holding the lunch Osamu prepared for you in a paper bag, you walk tentatively toward an empty table when you hear a voice behind you.
“Why don’t you come eat with us?”
You don’t need to turn around because Osamu’s already walking next to you.
“Maybe the others won’t feel comfortable? After all, I’m a stranger who randomly appeared in their school gym to watch them just practice?? Sounds suspicious, even to me. By the way, why did you lend me a room in your apartment? I bet others wouldn’t have, out of fear that they’ll be murdered or whatever”
Osamu stays silent for quite a while, and you two are nearing the volleyball team’s lunch table. You’re wondering whether you should apologize, but he says coolly, “That’s a good question. Although this might not make any sense, I invited you to stay because from the moment I saw you, a small voice in my mind said to help you” He shrugs. “It actually happened, believe it or not. How things have gotten weird these days”
Your mind’s racing for the nineteenth time today as you sit on a metal chair between Osamu and the dark-haired boy, Suna.
You don’t realize that you’re staring blankly into space until Osamu snaps his fingers in your face and says “Aren’t you going to eat your lunch?”
You shake your head to clear up your thoughts. “Yeah. Right.”
You pull out a recyclable container from the lunch bag, fumbling with the lid holds.
It was then all hell broke loose.
And everything from here seemed like a movie on 2x speed.
You accidentally knocked down Osamu’s thermos/bottle, which was still open, and coffee spilled all over his lap and the floor.
You desperately grabbed some napkins and tried to clean up the mess while students from the other tables were bending over backwards to memorize this scene well, because it’s not every day someone spills water over someone’s lap and there’s chaos brewing in a normal high school.
Suna was capturing the whole thing on camera, and Atsumu- well, Atsumu he actually was trying to help.
But of course, that went wrong, because he somehow slipped on the floor drenched with water and landed flat on his back.
Then a bunch of girls ran over one another to help him, and a teacher nearby rushed over to smooth things out.
You figured that everything would be fine, because after all, it was a small accident, but some idiot decided it would be funny to throw his burger right in your face. See where I’m going with this? People shouldn’t follow this action, except: monkey see, monkey do. And humans are connected to monkeys, apes, whatever. So, just like in a cheesy cliche movie clip, a food fight commenced.
Fast forward a couple more minutes after lunch ends…
You sigh, rubbing your forehead. You’re seated in the principal’s office on a firm wooden chair next to Osamu, half-listening to the principal’s lecture.
“First day of school and...blah blah... due to inappropriate blah blah, you are suspended-”
The moment your brain heard and processed the word “suspended” your defense mode activated and you started to protest about how it wasn’t your fault and people shouldn’t suppose that you’re a troublemaker just because it’s your first day of school here
The principal sighs. “I understand, but since we don’t have a janitor, you and the other kid-” he nods at Osamu “- will kindly clean up the mess.”
You sink in the chair, your hopes deflating by the second. “Okay.” A second later, Osamu nods in acquiesce. It would be a hard day tomorrow.
The principal seems to read your mind because he adds, “Oh- and you two start today.”

The Honest Truth
Jack Kline x Winchester!Reader
Word Count 1,895
Warnings: mention of surgery, brief mention of blood/bodily fluids, prescription drug use (not abuse), sibling teasing, brief mention of nudity, fluff.
Request: From @mrswinchester29: “Hi please can I have a winchester sister imagine where I have my wisdom teeth taken out and I'm loopy from the medicine and they boys ask me lots of questions to get an honest response ( who scratched baby , who ate the last slice of pie , who's my favourite brother ect) and I then admit I'm in love with jack and then jack and cas tell the boys to stop and the next morning we talk about it thanks and please can you tag me when it's done xx”
A/N: I hope this is mostly accurate. I didn’t have general anesthesia when I had my wisdom teeth removed, only local anesthesia. But, I’ve had several surgeries, and I know what it’s like to wake up from anesthesia/be on pain meds. So, I based this on my experiences. Enjoy! Feedback is appreciated.

Your brothers hovered over you, their stupid grins wider than you ever remember seeing them. The room was spinning, and… Sam had something in his teeth. You giggled and pointed, but the words didn’t quite come out as planned.
“Ha! Teethies!” you chuckled, leaning a little to the side. Damn anesthesia. Luckily someone had propped you up with pillows on each side, keeping you from falling face-first to the ground.
Dean nearly lost it as he beamed down at you. “Yes, sis. Sam has teeth—” He could barely keep from laughing. “And you’re missing a few now.”
Your eyes widened. “I’m missing my teeth?!” you shrieked through the rolled gauze that crowded your cheeks. Your hands flew to your face, instantly making contact with the ice pack that was tied around your head. You winced.
“No, Y/N. You had your wisdom teeth removed. They needed to come out,” Castiel reiterated. Where the hell did he come from?
“Dean squatted down in front of you and smiled. “Y/N, how do you feel right now?” he inquired without a hint on concern on his face.
“Uh, I feel fine,” you muttered, drooling a little onto your chin. Sam quickly wiped your chin with a paper towel.
“Any pain?”
You tried to shake your head, but everything began to spin. “Nope!”
“Good. I wouldn’t want my little sister hurting.” He was chuckling a little. You giggled with him, not quite sure what was so funny. But, just hearing his laugh made you laugh.
“I have a question, Y/N. Which one of us do you want to help take care of you until you feel better?” Dean interrogated with that usual grin. You looked between Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack, who stood behind everyone with a concerned gaze.
“Uh, Sam.” You answered bluntly. Dean scoffed and stood back up.
“Hey! I’m a great nurse!” he teased you. You shook your head a little.
“Sam’s nicer. He teases less,” you answered honestly. “He isn’t an asshole.” Everyone but you and Jack laughed.
“Hey! Be nice, Y/N,” Dean joked, rubbing your shoulder. “I’m not that bad.” He glanced over at Cas, then Sam. “But, I have to know, who stole my candy out of my desk drawer?” He smiled down at you.
You leaned back a little, then giggled. “I forgot about that!” you exclaimed in a muffled tone. You grinned. “That was me.”
Dean rolled your eyes and sighed. “I should have known.” Then, he leaned a little further in. “But what about the pie I bought last week? I put it in the fridge, but it was half gone the next morning.” He turned to Sam. “And Sam won’t eat lemon meringue.”
You furrowed your brow. “Yes, he does!” You sucked in a breath, exposing your blood-tinged gauze. “He shared with me.”
Dean’s eyes widened as he spun towards Sam. “You little fucking liar,” he snarled, shoving Sam’s shoulder. Sam swatted him.
“Dude, she’s drugged. She could be lying.” Dean shook his head, laughing.
“Oh, no. I remember when you got your wisdom teeth pulled. It was like you took a truth potion.” Dean smirked, then turned back to you.
“Alright, then.” Sam huffed, deciding to play along. “Did you steal my headphones? The good ones?” He folded his arms over his chest. “They’ve been missing for a few weeks now, and Dean has his own.”
You shook your head but couldn’t hold in the giggle. “Noooo,” you groaned. Sam just rolled his eyes.
“Yeeeees,” he countered. “I know you have them. I spotted them on your desk a few days ago.” His gaze narrowed.
“Fiiine, yes,” you confessed finally. One of your hands reached up, pressing the ice pack a little firmer against your skin.
Dean turned to Sam again and chuckled again. Sam smirked at his brother and nodded. “How about we have Cas be your nurse for the night?” Dean continued. “I’m sure you’d love to have Cas stare at you all night awkwardly from the corner of the room,” Dean teased, shooting Cas a smile. Cas didn’t return the gesture, not even offering a chuckle.
You frowned. “No, that’s creepy!” you grunted. “Sorry, love you Cas.” You nudged the irritated angel, who offered a half-smile. He was no fun.
Sam huffed a laugh. “What about Jack? Then he can stare at you all night.” You glanced over at the young half-angel, forcing your heart to race. Hmm, that wasn’t a bad idea.
“He’d see me naked when I change!” You drooled a little again, which Cas eventually wiped off your chin when Sam neglected to do so.
Dean’s eyebrow wiggled. “You don’t want Jack to see you naked?” he interrogated playfully, shooting Jack a quick glance. He looked away, his cheeks flushed.
You grinned as much as you could. “I wouldn’t mind. He’s the hot angel. Sorry, Cas.” Castiel’s eyes widened a little, but Jack’s eyes were like saucers. “Mmmm.”
You groaned a little as your jaw began to ache again. But, your brothers didn’t notice. They were too busy howling with laughter.
“Is that why you always want to be right next to him in the car? You wanna feel him against you—”
“That’s enough, Dean. She doesn’t know what she’s saying,” Cas commanded, taking a step towards you. His arm slipped under your armpit and lifted you onto your feet. “She doesn’t know what’s going on. She’s still feeling the effects of the anesthesia.”
“Oh, c’mon Cas! She knows it’s a joke! Were her brothers!” Dean argued, reaching for your other arm.
Jack blocked Dean’s reach, shooting him a dark scowl. “Leave her alone! She just had surgery. She needs to rest, not answer stupid questions!” Dean took a step back, his eyes locked on Jack. But, Jack stood his ground for another few moments, allowing Cas to pull you from the scene.
Sam sighed. “He’s right, Dean. She’s high as a kite on those pain meds.”
Dean huffed. “Fine, party pooper.” Then, your older brother turned away, rolling his eyes.
Tumblr media
A few days later, you finally felt a lot better. You were able to eat normally again, and you weren’t in any more pain. And, best of all, your mind was clear.
Everyone other than Cas had left you alone for the last few days, giving you the silence you needed to rest. Sam occasionally texted you from his room to ask if you needed anything. But, other than that, they gave you space.
But today, you were ready to venture out into the rest of the bunker.
Your stomach growled reminding you that you were fucking starving. So, you headed for the kitchen in search of lunch.
The moment you crossed the threshold, you stopped dead in your tracks. Jack stood at the counter, leaning over something that he was dishing onto a plate.
Jack turned when he heard your footsteps, greeting you with a smile.
“Hi, Y/N.” He turned, revealing his plate with two slices of pizza. He glanced down at the plate, then back at you. “Would you like a slice of pizza? Dean ordered it yesterday, and there is a lot left over.” You smiled.
“Sure, Jack. Thanks.” You watched him slide his plate onto the counter.
“How are you feeling?” he inquired, grabbing another plate.
“Back to normal, thank goodness. I never knew that having a few teeth pulled was such an ordeal.” You accepted the plate of steaming pizza from Jack, nodding in thanks.
“Glad to hear.” He grabbed his plate and headed for the small kitchen table. “That medication really affected you.” You frowned as you took the seat across from him.
“Uh, yeah. I guess it did. I don’t really remember a whole lot.” You stared down at your pizza. “I don’t really like that stuff.”
Jack took a bite, then wiped his face. “You were… really honest about a lot of things. Your brothers, mostly Dean, asked you a lot of questions.”
“What type of questions?” you snapped, suddenly not hungry. Sam and Dean were always pranking you, and always wanted to find ways to humiliate you.
Jack’s cheeks reddened a little. “Well, they asked if you stole Sam’s headphones, and who ate Dean’s candy stash.” You giggled. Of freaking course they did.
“Well, that would explain where the headphones went.” You sighed, then finally took a bite of your pizza. “What else did they ask? What my laptop password was?”
Jack remained quiet for a moment, then sighed. “They asked you who you wanted to take care of you while you recovered. At first, you said Sam because Dean is an ‘asshole’. But, Dean teased you some more and, well, you said some things about me.” Your heart nearly leapt from your chest.
“What did I say?” you deadpanned. Jack placed his pizza crust onto his plate and swallowed thickly.
“You said that you wouldn’t mind me being your nurse and seeing you naked. And, you said I was the hotter angel.” His face was bright red at this point, and he was avoiding eye contact. You were almost certain that you were going to throw up the three bites of pizza you had taken. But, after a deep breath, you calmed yourself.
“I said that, huh? Wow. It’s amazing what we say when something is altering our minds.” You stared down at your chilling pizza, unable to move. Jack was smart enough to know that you were trying to make an excuse. He knew you meant everything you said on those meds. Plus, you were still coming down from anesthesia. That combo was like Professor Snape’s truth serum.
“Yeah, it sounded like you were telling the truth about everything else.” Okay, there was no getting out of this.
“I-I was, Jack. The honest truth. I don’t think I could have lied if I tried.” You lifted your head and met his gaze.
“You think I’m hot?” Jack asked. His voice was almost painfully innocent.
You smiled. “Among other things.”
“Like what?” Jack asked with a mouthful of pizza. He seemed interested, but abnormally nonchalant about the whole thing.
“Well, you’re kind and smart. Oh, and very supportive. I always feel like you have my back no matter what I’m trying to do.”
“I do.” Jack smiled up at you, a small amount of sauce plaguing his lip.
Your fingers toyed with the edge of your plate. “I know Jack. And that’s what I love about you.”
“I love you too, Y/N.” Your eyes widened painfully fast.
“W-What?”
Jack finished his last bite, then wiped his face. “I feel the same way you tdo. At least, the way I think you feel. You have romantic feelings for me, don’t you?” His striking blue eyes locked on yours. You felt oddly calm now, almost relieved.
“Yeah, Jack. I do.” His rosy lips curled into an amiable smile. You mimicked the gesture, reaching out your hand. He took it happily.
“It’s really nice to hear that from you when you’re not so… inebriated,” Jack confessed. You giggled, squeezing his hand.
“And it’s the honest truth,” you reassured him.
The two of you stayed like that for a while, completely silent. You didn’t care what the next move was, or if anyone walked in. You just held Jack’s hand in yours, grateful for the honesty that pain medication forced out of you.

Burning Bridges pt. 7
Neville Longbottom x Reader
Summary: Chaperoning a Hogsmeade trip wasn’t exactly on the top of (Y/N)’s list of things she wanted to do that weekend, but having Neville along for the ride makes it worth it.
Word Count: 3.6k
Warnings: None
A/N: Oh boy oh boy! Hogsmeade fun! The plot? thickens.
Part 1 … Part 2 … Part 3 … Part 4 … Part 5 … Part 6
__
The winter air had begun to dissipate, the sun shining brightly amongst the melting snow in Hogsmeade village. While it was late into February, many witches and wizards were hoping spring would be around the corner, but a ‘fool’s spring’ would have to suffice for now. They knew full well within the next few weeks, the harsh snow and winds would resume like normal, but it did not matter. Many students were enjoying the extra buttons undone on their jackets, a few foregoing mittens and scarfs.
“Remember, you’re a reflection of our school, please be advised to be on your best behavior,” (Y/N) gave a pointed look to two Ravenclaw boys, both snickering at her words. “Mr. Fairley and Mr. Espen, do I make myself clear?” The two boys stifled their laugh, eyes hardened towards the Professor. They nodded, mumbling something into their scarves. “Alright, then. Enjoy your afternoon.”
The students dissipated, running to and from their favorite shops, many favoring Honeydukes or Zonko’s. (Y/N) took a moment to glance over the straggling students, many of whom stuck to their respective friend groups. It was odd, watching the cliques grow and change over the course of a school year. While many friends stayed true to their group, it was obvious when one student was left out or pushed to the side. She knew better than to meddle, but understood that even Professors know more about the student’s social lives than she could’ve even comprehended when she was at school.
“Do you reckon Espen’ll listen to you?” Neville mumbled, stepping over to (Y/N)’s side, pulling her out of her trance.
“Hardly,” (Y/N) said, readjusting her dark coat. “Those two are menaces when they’re together. Flitwick says that they tear up the common room any chance they get, roughhousing.”
“Last week, those two tried pulling out the growing Mandrakes that my second year class had potted in the middle of their lecture,” Neville said, his face twisting in horror. “They’ve been maturing since the beginning of the year, their screams are getting quite close to being lethal. Had to take fifteen points from each of them.”
“For a pair of Ravenclaw’s, you’d think they knew better, But I suppose they think they’re too smart to get caught,” (Y/N) said, glancing up at Neville. He was wearing a puffy beige coat, fur—probably kneazle—lining the hood. He had chosen to wear his old Gryffindor scarf out, many students noting his old House, almost in disbelief. “Pulled out the scarf, huh?”
“Yeah,” Neville said, pulling at the end, “felt like it was as good of time as any to wear it out,” he nodded at (Y/N)’s scarf. “You didn’t wear yours?”
“No,” (Y/N) said, shaking her head. “I leave the House pride to the students.”
“Oh come off it,” Neville said, pushing her shoulder. “I know you’d love to wear your (Y/H) scarf out! You wore it all the time, matching with your headband. It became your signature look!”
“I thought my ribbons were my ‘signature look’,” (Y/N) smiled, pulling lightly at the dark green bow that settled in her hair.
“You can have more than one,” Neville said, shrugging lightly. “It’s been a while since we’ve chaperoned together,” he said, eyes fixed at the twisting street of the town. “Probably the first time since the beginning of the year?”
“I don’t normally chaperone,” (Y/N) said plainly, meeting Neville’s long strides down the cobblestone. She wasn’t short, by any means, but the Gryffindor was admittedly taller than her, causing a bit of a chase in her pace. “I normally prefer overseeing detentions instead. Maybe it’s because I can come to Hogsmeade at any time, not just when I’m supposed to make sure the students aren’t going berserk.”
“You’re here now, though,” Neville said, glancing down at (Y/N). “Why’s that?”
“Dunno,” (Y/N) shrugged, flicking her eyes up to him. “Maybe because this feels like a date, almost.”
“Y-yeah?”
“Almost,” (Y/N) smiled, pushing her hands into her coat pockets. “But not quite. Cant exactly be all couple-y here, can we?”
It had been a little over a week since the two finally spoke about what they wanted to gain from one another, a longwinded road that ultimately lead them to their current space. No one else was aware of the change, however, as (Y/N) and Neville decided it was best to keep it under wraps, especially in front of students. The only other person to possibly know was Hagrid, who saw the two holding hands near his gardens, admiring the groundkeeper’s handiwork on his pumpkins. Hagrid didn’t mention anything, however, so perhaps he hadn’t really paid much attention.
“Right,” Neville nodded. “Not quite,” The two passed a little green building, sloping at the sides. Dogweed and Deathcap, a sign read in foiled gold lettering. It looked to be a Herbology shop. Neville stopped for a moment, eyes now glued to the display in the window. “Do you mind…?”
“Go for it,” (Y/N) said, patting Neville on the back. “I’ll take a quick lap and make sure no one’s died.”
“Thanks!” Neville said excitedly. He disappeared into the shop, a goofy grin plastered to his face.
True to her word, (Y/N) waltzed around the grounds, keeping a watchful eye out for any horseplay or bad behavior. She found herself seated on a bench near Honeydukes, listening to the giggles and squeals of the students within. It was comforting, almost, remembering what it was like years ago.
-
“They’re not that bad, Neville!” (Y/N) said, thrusting a little striped box into his chest. “Go on, then. Give it a try!”
“I don’t care for Bertie Botts…” he said, grasping at the carton. “You know I have rotten luck…”
“Nev, everyone has rotten luck with Bertie Botts, it’s half the fun!” She giggled, tugging her pink hat back to covering her ears. “You’ve missed out on loads of Honeydukes sweets last year, it’s ‘bout time you made up for it, yeah?”
“You brought me some sweets,” Neville said, recalling the various packages and gifts the girl had brought him. He wasn’t allowed to go to Hogsmeade after he misplaced the Gryffindor common room password list he had written. “I had some of your peppermint toads!”
“Still,” (Y/N) clicked, rolling her eyes. “Try it out! I didn’t spend six of my Sickles to watch you chicken out!”
“I’m not a chicken!” Neville’s ears went scarlet, fingers diving into the box. He grabbed ahold of two beans, one beige and one orange. “Here,” he threw the beans into his mouth, chewing quickly. His nose scrunched up, eyes snapping shut.
“Bad beans?”
Neville nodded quickly, finally swallowing the mush.
“What were they?”
“I think…” Neville took a moment, sticking his tongue out, letting it breathe. “One was marmalade, but the other…” he shuddered at the thought. “Tasted of vomit…”
“I’m sorry,” (Y/N) said, holding back a laugh. “At least the marmalade was good?”
“I couldn’t tell you,” Neville said, now shoving the box back into (Y/N)’s loose grip. “The vomit took over.”
“Well, when they say every flavor…” (Y/N) laughed, placing the box gently back into her rucksack, right on top of a new travel cauldron she splurged on. “Come on,” she grabbed Neville’s woolen-covered hand, pulling him forward. “Let me treat you to a butterbeer, to make up for the—uh—vomit!”
She had hardly noticed how his ears went pink.
-
“Butterbeer…” (Y/N) mumbled, glancing down to her snowy boots. “That sounds like an awfully good idea about now…”
Without a second thought, (Y/N)’s boots led her to the Three Broomsticks. The interior was as bustling as she had remembered from her youth, some students here for the first time. She had hardly found the time in her breaks to come down to the pub, visiting only once before the term had started. She placed herself at the counter, awaiting service.
“Well, if it isn’t little (L/N),” Madam Rosmerta gleamed, putting down a freshly polished stein. “Thought you’d be cooped up in those dungeons of yours, no?”
“Hello Rosmerta,” (Y/N) said, removing her heavy coat. She felt like she didn’t need it in this moment. “Caught me at a good time, the headmistress unlocked my cell for the day.”
“Always the jokester,” Madam Rosmerta said, clicking her tongue. “Firewhisky?”
“No,” (Y/N) shook her head. “I can’t stand the stuff, besides I’m technically chaperoning…”
“Ah,” Madam Rosmerta nodded, pouring a glass of butterbeer from the large oak barrel. “Butterbeer it is, then. Can’t let the kids have all the fun, right?”
“I suppose not,” (Y/N) said, smiling at the large pint before her. The sickly smell of butterscotch made her heart grow light, like a warm hug. She brought the foam to her lips, instantly feeling relieved at the taste.
“Nothing quite like it,” Madam Rosmerta said, watching (Y/N) take another gulp. “The memories associated with that drink. Probably my favorite thing about it, besides the taste of course!”
(Y/N) merely nodded, too focused on finishing her cup until the last drop passed her lips. She hadn’t intended to finish the entire thing so quickly, but the honey-colored liquid was too inviting to pass up. “Do you mind…?” She raised the glass to Madam Rosmerta’s eye line, watching her smile grow.
“Not at all, sweets,” Madam Rosmerta filled the glass again, the foam almost pouring over the sides. “How’s life been for you, Professor?” Her last word dropped over the tip of her tongue languidly.
“It’s been alright!” (Y/N) said cheerfully, carefully eyeing her glass. She felt the burbling in her stomach, almost afraid to take another sip before it settled. “I love my work, I adore most of my students—”
“That’s the same schtick Longbottom tried to pass off on me last week,” the barmaid scowled, leaning on her elbows. “Wouldn’t tell me the truth, but he seemed rather ruffled as it were, so I didn’t push it.”
“Oh yeah,” (Y/N) nodded, “the wine he bought from you, it was excellent!”
“Yeah? Been sitting on those bottles for a while…” Madam Rosmerta said, idly glancing at the spare bottles under her bar. “I’m glad you—wait,” the barmaid’s eyes went wide, almost to the size of the pints before her. “You!”
“M-me?” (Y/N) stammered, slightly concerned.
“I knew it! I knew Longbottom was planning a date!” Madam Rosmerta said, practically dancing a jig. “He wouldn’t say much, said he needed it for a ‘special dinner’.”
“I—well—”
“No need,” Madam Rosmerta rose a hand, effectively shutting (Y/N) up. “Your pink cheeks give it away, sweets.”
It was true, (Y/N)’s cheeks had grown to a lovely shade of scarlet, much more than a glass of butterbeer could’ve given her.
“Oh, calm down. I revel in young love and romance,” she pointed to a table near the corner of the inn, two Slytherin girls were sipping their glasses and laughing. “Those two have come nearly every weekend. The one on the left always buys for her, I think it’s sweet…”
“Yeah…” (Y/N) nodded, her eyes glued to the foam atop her glass. “Sweet…”
“You were always so sweet on him too, you know,” Madam Rosmerta said thoughtfully. “Every time I saw the two of you together I hoped you’d hit it off,” she looked at (Y/N)’s timid posture. “I’m glad I was right!”
“It’s only been a week,” (Y/N) said, finally bucking the courage to look at the barmaid. “Besides, a lot has happened in the last five years for us to—”
“Wait!” As if by lightning, a thought struck Madam Rosmerta, leading her to fumble through the stack of papers nearest the bar. “You and him went to the Potter’s wedding, right?”
“Oh—erm—yeah, we did…” (Y/N) said, knowing full well what Madam Rosmerta was going to bring up next. “Don’t tell me that you—”
“I knew it!” She slammed the paper atop the bar, directly in (Y/N)’s eye line. “I knew that these were the two of you!” Madam Rosmerta’s manicured nail pointed at the infamous picture of (Y/N) and Neville, holding each other romantically close, almost kissing. “I recognized your dress from the photo before, and then when Neville came in the next day going on about his dinner…”
“Could you keep it down? Just a bit?” (Y/N) said, almost hissing. “No one else at the school knows, well, the students don’t, I should say. Can’t say much for faculty…”
“Ah, making it a bit more fun for yourselves? Keeping it in secret?”
“This is why I don’t come down here often, Rosmerta,” (Y/N) smirked, finally taking a sip of her second glass. “But, no. We just—we’ve been fighting for this for so long that it’s nice to have it be between just us for now, you know?” Another sip. “Besides, the students are terrible gossips…”
“I understand,” Madam Rosmerta said, sighing lightly. “I’m just ecstatic for the two of you, finding each other after all this time… Really gives an old lady some hope, you know!”
“I bet,” (Y/N) giggled, taking another sip of her butterbeer, reveling in the taste.
“Though, I will say, I thought that you and that Knight fellow were courting…” Madam Rosmerta said, trailing. “He frequents a visit every now and then. Talked my ear off about you.”
“Oh…” (Y/N) said, glancing down. “I suppose we were… ‘courting’, in a sense. Nothing official, really,” she shrugged, taking another sip. “If I’m being honest, he’s not really much who I thought he was. Said some… unsavory stuff after I… well, after I tried to break it off.”
“Ah,” Madam Rosmerta clicked. “It’s the ponytail. Nothing good comes from a guy with a hairstyle like that.”
“Rosmerta!” (Y/N) said, spitting out her drink.
“You know it’s true,” Madam Rosmerta said, shrugging. “He’s an odd fellow, but he’s a regular so I put up with it. Always goes blabbering about his Muggle hobbies and the like. Photography, flower pressing, and you, were amongst other things he’d go on about.”
“He was into pressing flowers,” (Y/N) said, nodding. “Made me look at his various journals. It’s an interesting hobby, to say the least.”
“Still, Knight is an odd fellow, would bring his Muggle camera in from time to time. Small enough to fit in your hand, all ‘digital’. Muggles are so fascinating, I’ll admit,” Madam Rosmerta said. “Glad you got out of it when you could. You deserve better.”
“Yeah,” (Y/N) smiled. “I think so too.”
__
“…really, you needed all of these?” (Y/N) laughed, noting Neville’s rather large parcel from his shopping trip. They had returned from Hogsmeade, warming up in (Y/N)’s chambers with a fire and fresh hot tea.
“Well, I needed a few more seeds for my next lecture and they were having a bit of a sale so…” Neville sat, twiddling his thumbs, now realizing the gravity of his haul. “It’s not like I won’t use any of it!”
“I know,” (Y/N) smiled, settling herself on the plush couch, closer to Neville than she’s sat in the past. It was strange, she noted, how comforting being so close to another person could feel. “You’re good about things like that.”
“Oh! Speaking of,” Neville leaned forward, rustling through his paper bag, reaching to nearly the bottom. “You had said a few days ago that you needed some more of this… so…” In his hand were a few sprigs of greenery, looking almost like weeds. “I’ve been trying to grow a small plot of it, but it won’t do you any good until it’s all grown so…”
“Dittany,” (Y/N) said, taking the handful of green into her own fingers, feeling the wax of the leafs. “Yeah, I needed a bit more for my demonstration on the Wigglenweld Potion for my first years—I had completely forgotten to pick some up!” She pressed the green clump to her chest. “Thank you, Neville. I appreciate it.”
“It’s not a p-problem,” Neville said, stammering slightly.
“Well, now I feel bad,” (Y/N) said, settling into her crevice in the couch. “I didn’t buy you anything…”
“You didn’t need to buy me anything,” Neville assured her, “it’s a gift.”
“Wait a second,” (Y/N)’s eyes lit up like a flame, hustling over to her kitchen cupboards. “I know I have some extra… aha!” In her hand was a fresh box of Bertie Botts, unopened and unassuming. “My mum sent me some a while back, but I haven’t opened them yet.”
“Bertie Botts? (Y/N), you know how much I don’t like—”
“Yeah, I know,” (Y/N) hummed, practically skipping back to the couch. “But being out today reminded me of the day that you—”
“Ate the vomit bean? (Y/N)…”
“Oh come on,” (Y/N) said, flopping back on the couch, a little closer to Neville than she had sat before. “I know it isn’t much, but please just,” she placed the box in his lap, “accept the box, for now. Consider it a placement until I can find something more suitable.”
“I told you,” Neville said, shaking his head. “I don’t need anything in return, the dittany was a gift,” He pressed the box back into (Y/N)’s hands, closing them tightly around the striped box.
“Fine,” (Y/N) huffed, removing the Bertie Botts from her grip. “Then… at least…” (Y/N) hesitated for a moment, almost unsure of herself. Leaning forward, she pressed a chaste kiss to Neville’s cheek. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Neville said, his ears turning pink. “What’re you going to do with the beans, then?”
“Dunno, eat them?” (Y/N) said, tone teasing. “Probably not for a while though, they tend to be more of a party game than anything. Not really planning too many of those of late…”
“I suppose not,” Neville chuckled. He glanced around the apartment, eyes scanning the surroundings. “Hey, where’s Edgar? He’s usually around, no?”
“I sent him out this morning, with a letter to my mum. She spoils him with mice and treats, so I don’t think he’d be on his way until at least tomorrow,” (Y/N) said thoughtfully. “You should see her owls, terribly spoiled, the whole lot of them.”
“I can imagine,” Neville said, imagining a flock of rather round and near flightless owls. “I’m sure he’ll be around sooner than later.”
There was a slight tapping on the glass window, the sound of a small beak perhaps.
“Speak of the devil…” (Y/N) said, smiling towards the sound. She waved her wand, allowing the window to open. An owl flew into the living quarters, visibly tired. The near snow-white of her feathers shone against the firelight of the room, the ends of the feathers shining a bright pearl sheen. She was visibly not Edgar.
“That’s not Edgar,” Neville said, plainly.
“That much should be obvious,” (Y/N) said, cracking a grin. “She’s a barn owl like him, though. Young,” she noted the letter in the owl’s beak, accepting it into her hand. “That explains it.”
“What? Who’s it from?”
“Ginny,” (Y/N) said, glancing at the neat penmanship of the envelope. Rustling in her cabinet, (Y/N) pulled a small box out, prying a small brown tuft from the container. She passed the treat to the owl, patting her head lightly before seeing her off, shutting the window into the night.
“You keep—”
“Mice?” (Y/N) laughed, noting the terror that flicked across Neville’s freckled face. “Yeah. I find it’s in the best interests of the owls who run the post to enjoy a nice treat for flying for so long,” (Y/N) said, placing the box back into the cabinet, filled with various potions ingredients.
“But… still. Dead mice?”
“It’s what they like to eat,” (Y/N) said, shrugging lightly. “I know Ginny said that Harry had bought another owl, I didn’t imagine she’d be so beautiful.”
“She reminded me of Hedwig,” Neville said, “she’d hang out in our dormitory sometimes.”
“Yeah,” (Y/N) said, thumbing the envelope. “It’s unlike Gin to send an owl this late,” her eyes grazed the wax seal, a scarlet ‘P’ adorned the color.
“Shouldn’t her and Harry be on their honeymoon? It’s been a week since the wedding, you’d think they’d be living it up in the tropics or something.”
“Yeah, you’d think,” (Y/N) said, peeling the wax seal off the envelope, pulling the letter out. Her eyes danced across the lettering, looping with every stroke of the quill. “Harry was called on a last minute Auror mission, so they moved their honeymoon to a later date.”
“That’s unfortunate…”
“I’d say…” (Y/N) said, continuing to read the letter. She let out a small chuckle. “Poor Gin, she has to deal with the whole Daily Prophet fiasco on her own, she said she practically knocked down their office building.”
“Sounds like Ginny,” Neville laughed. “Probably gave them a piece of her mind, plus or minus a few hexes I’m sure.”
“Of course she did,” (Y/N) laughed alongside Neville, glancing back down to the note. “It says that she tried to find who was responsible for sneaking the photos—she joked about the one of us, I suppose I’d have to fill her in at some point, but I bet she already—”
(Y/N) stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes growing wide at the final words on the letter. She felt like she couldn’t breathe, like all the air was caught in her throat.
“(Y/N)?” Neville asked, his expression worried. “(Y/N) is everything okay?”
“She found out.”
“Ginny? She found out what?”
“She found out who took the photos, who sold them to the Prophet,” (Y/N) said, pressing the note to Neville’s chest.
He opened the note, the words highlighted by the orange glow of the fire. Every other word felt useless against the bold lettering of a singular name.
Lancelot Knight.

Sucker - Pete x Vance
Sitting on his bed, yearbook resting in his lap, Pete stares at the signatures from the greasers. Summer break had started a few weeks ago, and while some students had gone back home or were on vacation outside of Bullworth, he had been trapped in his dorm. Sure, he went out occasionally to walk around town, see what was new at the cinema or get some fast food, but that was it. Even Jimmy had been too preoccupied to hang out with him, which wasn’t too much of a surprise. Sure, he had hoped maybe he could hang out with his best (and pretty much only) friend over the summer before the ginger went home, but when he found the dorm room closed and texts explaining he was working those odd jobs for extra cash, all those expectations had flew right out the window. Pete was used to being alone, sure, but this felt worse. Having finally made a friend and then to just be… forgotten.
So here he was, feeling sorry for himself and wondering if he could ease it by taking Vance up on his old offer. Join the greasers at the tenements, hang out and forget – just for a moment – that he was a loser. But the phone number seemed so intimidating, and as Pete grabbed his phone, he found it hard to do anything. To power it on, input his password and create a new text message. What would he say? “Hey Vance, I’m feeling lonely and wanna hang out”? Did that sound too desperate – too emotionless? Should he ask him how he was doing and hope he would be invited to hang out? He didn’t know how Jimmy did it. He had seen his friend start up a conversation out of nowhere. Even whenever he would text Pete, it would sometimes just be a simple “wanna hang out?” message that seemed so nonchalant. Is that what he should send?
His phone’s ringtone going off scares him, making him jump as he looks down at the caller ID. It’s a familiar phone number, and it’s only familiar because he’s spent the past hour or so staring at it in his yearbook. With a deep inhale, he accepts the call, holding his phone up to his ear.
“Hey, Vance! What’s up?” he greets, trying to sound confident as he closes the book, slipping it into his nightstand’s drawer.
“How’s it hangin’, big daddy?” What did he call him? Pete sits there, brows knitted together and mouth agape as the name replays over and over in his head. “You got my number memorized, huh? Now why’s that?”
“Ah, I was just gonna text you, actually,” he confesses, “Why do you have my number? I don’t remember giving it to you.”
“Jimmy gave it to me,” He can almost see the greaser shrug, his reply coming like it was the simplest thing in the world. “Now then, what were ya gonna text me?”
“Uh I guess – uh…” He’s stuck now, mind drawing a blank. He can hear Vance on the other side, an interested mhmm coming through loud and clear, curious to hear his reply. “I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out?”
There’s silence on the other end for a bit, and now he’s worried that was the wrong thing to say. He should’ve asked how he was doing instead, cursing himself for blurting out the first thing that came to mind. However, he starts to hear shuffling, and he can faintly make out someone else in the background, but not one he recognizes from the academy.
“If you don’t shut your mouth – not you, Petey – I’m gonna shut it for you!” Vance’s booming voice makes him jump, the sound of a door slamming shut at the end of his threat, as if proving a point. With a sigh of relief, he starts again in a calmer tone. “Now, what was that? Hangin’ out? Sure!”
“Ah, are you okay?” he asks, “Who was that?”
“Oh, ya mean the yellin’?” he chuckles, the shuffling continuing on the other side of the call. “Sorry ‘bout all that. Sergio’s a bit of a prick sometimes.”
“Sergio?” Vance lets out a breath that sounds like a mixture of a scoff and a chuckle.
“Older bro,” he tells him softly, and that airy, jokey tone has vanished. “Likes to butt into my life a lot. Annoyin’, but that’s why I stay away from home so much.”
“Oh, I didn’t know you were home…” He should’ve guessed. Vance wasn’t one of the quiet kids at Bullworth. He was probably busy for the summer, either being home or with friends.
“Nah, I need a break,” Pete can only guess he hears a window creaking open, and a few seconds later, Vance is letting out a huff. “You still at school? I’ll come swing by, pick you up. We can do whatever.”
“Really?” He tries to keep his cool and not sound like some desperate dweeb, but with the soft chuckle he gets, he knows he failed.
“Really. ‘Sides, I told ya to hit me up whenever. That’s why I gave you my number!” The comment makes him smile and Pete makes sure to let his appreciation be known. With a soft goodbye, he lets himself relax. A smile is plastered on his face and for a moment he wonders why Jimmy had given Vance his number. Whatever the reason, he doesn’t dwell on it too long. He knew Vance lived somewhere in New Coventry and he didn’t have long to get dressed.
Setting his phone on the nightstand, he hops up from his bed and walks over to his wardrobe. He keeps it casual, knowing Vance wasn’t exactly someone who critiqued people’s fashion too harshly. The first thing he grabs is the old band shirt Jimmy had left when he spent the night months earlier. It’s simple enough, a white Billy Talent shirt with a little design, “like a fire!” right below it. It’s a little baggy and the material isn’t the thickest, but it’s something and truth be told, he had always liked the shirt. Or, just maybe, he liked how cool it had looked on Jimmy and he hoped it would look just as good on him. Throwing on some old jeans and his sneakers, he ruffles his hand through his hair, ridding himself of any lint. He lingers for a moment, staring at himself in the mirror. Maybe he would grow his hair out this year? Something new.
With a shake of the head, he snatches his phone up and shoves it into his pocket, exiting his room and steering clear of Wade dumping one of the nerds into the nearby trashcan. Pushing open the doors, he jogs down the steps and makes his way over the main gate, anticipation coursing through him. A part of him is worried about how today’s events will transpire. What would they do? Would Vance make fun of him? Would he flake out? He did seem eager to meet up. But was that because he just wanted to get away from his brother?
“Ay, Petey!” He looks up, sending Vance a smile as the greaser approaches. Eyeing him up and down, Vance lets out a low whistle, eyebrows raised. “What’s your tale, nightingale? Ya look different!”
“Oh, I uh – I-I didn’t wanna make you wait,” he responds, letting out a nervous chuckle. Vance claps a hand on his shoulder, making him jump.
“Looks good on ya,” he tells him. Heat rushes to Pete’s face. How long had it been since someone had genuinely complimented him?
“T-thanks! You look good too!” It was the first time he had seen the teen like this. His hair had been slicked back, almost hastily, and while he still wore his leather jacket, the rest was different. A white dress shirt that had been unbuttoned, a black top underneath with matching jeans. Even his shoes were changed, old worn out high tops that were left untied.
“What? Ya like what ya see?” Vance’s teasing tone brings Pete out of his daze, the greaser laughing when he starts to stutter.
“I-I just – I mean I-” He takes a moment, breathing in and trying to collect himself as they start to walk. “Y-you just look different, too. Never seen you like that.”
“Got dressed quick,” he confesses, and even though his tone turns to a more calmer one, his smile never fades. “Wasn’t really expectin’ to go out today. Glad you asked, though. Sergio was startin’ his crap.”
“I never heard you talk of him,” That wasn’t much of a surprise. Pete had often kept his distance from shop class, intimidated of the clique and their hostile personalities. He wasn’t exactly the best at fixing bikes either and didn’t have much of a desire for it, which was why he had skipped it when filling out what extracurricular he had wanted. “What’s he like?”
Vance hums a bit, lost in thought as they pass over the bridge that led into Old Bullworth Vale. He tells Pete of how Sergio used to go to Bullworth, and how he was the main reason he got into fixing bikes and wanting to eventually move on to cars. They lived in a broken home, their father occasionally bringing home some woman for the night and locking them out. Sergio would often steal the keys to the car before they were pushed out, giving them a warm and somewhat safe place to sit in throughout the night. Vance never knew if his brother slept those nights, but he remembered falling asleep in the passenger seat, the older teen behind the wheel with a scowl on his face and switchblade in hand. They often parked on the street in the richer part of town, but Sergio was paranoid, knowing of the delinquents that roamed around. Apparently they were worse those few years ago from the stories he heard and the cuts and bruises on his brother’s body when he would come home in the early mornings. Vance even bragged about knowing how to set a broken nose and pop a shoulder back into its socket, much to Pete’s horror.
The stories of Sergio eventually turned into how Vance joined the greasers. Once the leader of the clique, he had filled Vance’s head with stories of shop class. The stupid antics he and the others would get into, the stories and conspiracy theories Neil would tell them. They all seemed very entertaining and fun, and it was no wonder Vance had wanted to experience it. Sergio had apparently appointed Johnny’s brother as leader, but had forced him to agree to watch over and take care of Vance when he started his high school life the following year, knowing how hostile the other member was. So before Vance had made friends with Lefty and made a strong connection, Johnny’s older brother was right by his side, deterring any other greaser that came up with ill intent.
“Maybe you’ll join us, too?” Vance’s suggestion catches Pete off guard, his eyes going wide as he looks at him. Could he ever really pass off as a greaser?
“I-I dunno,” he stammers softly, bringing a hand up to rub the back of his neck. “I-I don’t really see myself being… one of you guys.”
“I do!” he declares, a bright smile on his face. “C’mon! When school starts up, we’ll go talk to Neil!”
“We?” he repeats. Would Vance really go speak to the man with him to get him enrolled into shop?
“’Course! It’ll be fun!” he tells him confidently. His head is held high as he wraps an arm around his shoulder, bringing him closer. “You’ll have us to hang out with and protect you. What? You think sometimes I don’t wanna goof off in class?”
The greasers had always seemed so serious when it came to their bikes, but he told a different story. How he, Ricky and Peanut would make jokes, harass each other and even start small fights. They had been sent out more times than he could count, and Pete thought what that would be like.
“I’ll think about it,” he finally tells him. Throwing his fist in the air, Vance lets out an overjoyed holler. Pete supposed he would be speaking to Neil when August rolled around, and he would be spending more time with the greasers. At least he wouldn’t be alone.
Pete doesn’t realize they’ve made it all the way to the carnival until the loud music reaches his ears, having been too enticed in Vance’s interesting (and overly dramatic) stories. Some about the clique and some about his older brother. And as Vance pays for their way in, the greaser turns his attention to him.
“What about you?” he asks, curiosity thick in his voice as they find a bench to sit down on.
“W-what about me?” He lets out a nervous chuckle, avoiding the teen’s gaze.
“I told you all about me!” he starts as he raises his voice just a bit, “Now it’s your turn! What’s ol’ Petey’s life like?”
“Not as exciting as yours,” he confesses softly. Vance just scoffs, rolling his eyes with a smile on his face.
“Yeah, sure,” he dismisses with that snarky tone, “I seem to remember ya bein the one to operate that old hunk of junk in the junkyard way back when.”
“You mean the magnetized crane?” he clarifies, snicking as Vance rolls his eyes and waves a hand dismissively.
“Yeah, whatever,” He turns back to him, grin once again appearing on his face. “Now, again, tell me about yourself!”
“W-well...” There wasn’t much to tell, but Pete decided to share anyway. His story wasn’t as exciting or scary, but Vance seemed to take interest. He scoffed when Pete said his parents lived decently close to the school, but he lived in the dorm room anyway because his parents wanted “some peace and quiet”. No wonder he was so awkward. Vance would bet anything that his parents were to blame for the younger teen’s poor social skills. Not to mention his father was a librarian, and he wouldn’t be surprised if the man kept a quiet tone around the house too.
When asked about any siblings, Pete could only shake his head. His parents were dismissive of his existence, often leaving him to his own devices, only coming around once in a while to check on him. His main entertainment was watching TV or playing video games, occasionally even drawing. His parents would buy him little sketchbooks, seemingly pleased that he had found something quiet to do without them having to hear noises coming from the television set. He did admit that he had a hamster at one point, an orange and white long-haired rodent that was his best friend for a few years before it passed from old age. It was sad that he didn’t even seem to have friends growing up, his parents not wanting him to go out in fear he would get hurt or taken. Maybe that was the only nice thing Vance had heard about the couple, but Pete had been right. His stories weren’t as exciting. Apparently his first year at the academy had been the most thrilling time of his life, and Jimmy had been his first and only friend. Vance couldn’t imagine having a life so… sad.
“How’s ‘bout we keep makin’ this depressin’ life of yours fun?” Vance suggests, a glint flashing across his eyes as he grabs the younger teen’s hand, pulling him up from the bench. Pete falters and stutters out a flurry of questions, almost tripping over his feet as he tries to keep up with the teen’s fast pace. Vance is just a bundle of laughter, promising him a night he wouldn’t forget.
They start at the back of the park first, walking through the freak show and marveling at the people behind the glass.  Alfred, the skeleton man, had been the first freak to greet them, eyeing Pete as he took a drag from his cigarette. Seeing his bones poke out through his skin had sent shivers down his spine, and his voice held something Pete couldn’t quite place. As they made their way further in, they could hear Paris talking, making some remark about the show she was watching. Sitting on her couch with legs spread, she sent them an acknowledging smile as she picked up a few chips, throwing them into her mouth as she scratched at her beard. Of course, Vance had a couple remarks about her, but Pete had tried to drown him out as he led him throughout the rest of the freak show.
The others had all been interesting, and Pete had wondered how life could be so weird. Siamese twins, a mermaid that Vance wasn’t too sure was real. However, the one who stuck out the most to Pete was Drew, the crazy painted man. His screaming and incoherent rambling had already made the teen nervous, but when the man threw himself against the bars of his enclosure, he had jumped back with a shriek, scared the bars wouldn’t hold him. Vance had grabbed his arm, steadying him as he tried to calm his nerves.
“He’s just actin’,” he tells him as he shoots an agitated glance at Drew, “Guy’s just some wacko. Probably doin’ this for the easy money.”
Pete just nodded his head as he followed him, but the screaming had stuck with him, and he was sure it would for the rest of his life. And though he didn’t want to admit it, he was more than overjoyed to have walked out of the freak show, letting out a breath he didn’t even realize he had been holding in. Maybe it was the dark lighting or how cramped everything felt, but Pete didn’t like it, only noticing once they were outside just how close he had been walking to Vance.
“How about we try out those rides ‘fore it gets any darker?” It’s only now that Pete realizes the sun is starting to set. With a smile, he gives him a nod and follows him over to the Big Squid. The line moved quick through the queue, and before they knew it, they were being seated in one of the carts. The monotone voice of Freeley comes through over the speakers, the request that everyone keeps hands and feet inside and not try to stand up during the ride. And when it starts, picking up speed and throwing them around, Pete can’t keep the smile off of his face, occasionally glancing over to Vance, seeing him laughing as well. It felt nice for Pete, to feel like he finally belonged somewhere or meant something to someone.
By the time they get off, both are a bit dizzy. Pete raises his hand to rest it on Vance’s shoulder in order to stabilize himself, but when he finally registers the cool leather beneath his palm, he pulls away, worried about what response he would receive from the greaser. However, Vance just gives him a joyful smile as he leads him over to the roller coaster. They’re not seated in the front, Pete being too nervous, so both opt for the cart in the middle.
“Lemme slide by ya there,” Vance’s voice is soft as he moves over Pete, who’s sitting in the seat closest to the steps they had just walked up. They pull the bar down securely, Pete giving a few extra tugs to ensure it wouldn’t be going anywhere. Of course this doesn’t go unnoticed, and the greaser snickers softly at the younger teen’s actions. Once more, they hear the monotone announcement before the ride starts, launching them towards the opening of the canyon before pulling them up. Everyone else on the ride has their arms raised, but Pete’s holding onto the metal bar for dear life. And as they approach the top of the hill, he screws his eyes shut, body tensing as he prepares for the worse.
A scream is pulled from him as the coaster falls down the hill, and Vance reaches over to pry his left hand from the handle bar, raising it into the air with his, yelling at him to just let loose and have fun. Although his body is trembling a bit from the fall, he takes the advice and finally opens his eyes, loosening the grip he had on his other hand and letting it raise into the air as well. Vance is still holding his hand, palms pressed together as Pete grips him with almost the same intensity as he was the bar. However, despite the biting wind in his face and the sharp turns that throw him into the teen, Pete can’t keep the large smile off of his face. Vance is right, this is a lot more fun. And as the coaster returns its original spot, the two are still laughing. The bar rises and Pete stands up, stepping out, still holding Vance’s hand to keep him steady and make sure he doesn’t trip as the greaser asks him how his hair looks. There’s one more ride and as they walk over, Pete has to stop the teen before he pays yet again for their fun.
“You’ve paid for everything!” he tells him with a laugh, digging out a dollar from his pocket and giving it to the operator. “It’s time I paid for something.”
“Well, ain’t you just the sweetest,” Vance smiles at him as he leads him over to the rickety seat. He scoots over to the end, allowing Pete to climb in after him, both pulling down the bar that creaked loudly. The ride starts, jerking them forward a bit as they follow the curve up. The sun’s set by now, and the carnival lights illuminate below them as they’re taken higher and higher up. Pete shivers as the soft breeze picks up, but he tries to concentrate on the view around them. He can see the beach in the distance, the lighthouse’s light rotating around. Their cart stops at the very top, rocking slightly and Pete looks below. They’re so high off the ground, it’s intimidating. Another shiver runs through him, this one out of fear.
“You cold?” Vance questions, cocking his head as he looks at him. Pete lets out a soft hum, eyebrows raised as he turns his gaze to meet his. Vance just gives him a cheeky smile as he brings his hands up, gripping his jacket and removing it from him. It was the first time Pete had seen a greaser without their iconic coat on, and he was honestly surprised to see that he actually had some muscle to him.
“U-uh… what’re you doing?” Pete’s confused when Vance drapes the jacket over his shoulders, but the warmth he feels is more than welcoming.
“You’re cold, ain’t ya?” he asks with a small chuckle, “I’m fixin’ it!”
“Y-you don’t h-have to,” he stammers softly, but Vance doesn’t seem to be taking no for an answer. He just sits there, a smile on his face as he tilts his head up, looking at the stars.
“Glad ya asked me out, ya know?” he starts, catching Pete off guard. He was glad? “Gets kinda… crazy at home sometimes, and everyone else was off doin’ their own thing. Managed to find Jimmy and get your number, just to chat but… well, you had a better idea.”
“Yeah, I hear ya,” he agrees, going to hold the jacket close as he matches Vance’s smile. “I don’t really got anyone except Jimmy, and he’s been busy. I'm too cool to be a dork, and too dorky to be anything else, so I’m always just… alone.”
“No you’re not,” The confident tone makes Pete knit his eyebrows together. “Ya got me now! And soon, you’ll have the greasers! Peanut’s gonna be the leader, and I just know he’d be happy to have ya!”
“Maybe cause I’m Jimmy’s friend,” he scoffs softly, looking to the ground as the ride resumes, slowly bringing them down. “I just… I wanna feel like I exist without him, you know?”
“You do,” Vance wraps an arm around his shoulders, bringing him closer to him. “You and me? We’re existin’, right now, without Jimmy. And you’ll be existing, without Jimmy, when you join us.”
“Yeah, sure. We’ll see,” Maybe it was the low self-esteem Pete always had throughout his life. How dull and mediocre it was, and how the most exciting thing to ever happen to him was falling in with the only two psychopaths in all of Bullworth. “Just feels like I only had a meaning when Gary and Jimmy showed up in my life.”
“And you’d be wrong,” As they get to the bottom and the railing lifts, the two make their way out of the old cart, thanking the man and being on their way. When they walk to the gates, Vance’s arm finds its way back across Pete’s shoulder and they fall into step towards the exit. “Tonight’s been amazing, and it’s because you asked me to come hang. Not Jimmy, and sure as hell not Gary. Don’t see any of those two makin’ you do this.”
“You’re right,” he chuckles. They walk back through the tunnel, Vance still giving him a pep talk he probably needed years ago. He’s still holding onto the jacket, his face tinted red and a smile pulling at his lips. It’s not long before they get into a more friendly conversation, making jokes and thoughts about what the next school year would hold. Vance kept referring to him as the newest greaser, and at this point, Pete wasn’t even denying him or the idea. He loved the thought in fact. To be part of a clique and feel like he belonged? Have something relatively close to a family that would care for him and make him feel like he mattered? It was almost like a dream come true.
They walk all the way back to school, sneaking past the prefects that were out prowling, looking for any students breaking curfew. It was a lot warmer inside the dorms when they entered, the doors shutting loudly behind them as they walked down the hall and towards Pete’s room. However, that was as far as Vance went. Standing outside of his room, he’s practically beaming at the younger teen.
“I had fun,” he tells him, and Pete can only nod in agreement. They stood closely together, and the faint smell of Vance’s cologne mixed with the cigarettes he smoked almost religiously had radiated off of him. It was nice, calming in a way.
“I uh – I’m uh… I-I’m really glad you called,” Pete laughs, turning his gaze to the floor. “Not sure I would’ve been able to text you.”
“Me too,” Curling his index finger under Pete’s chin, Vance raises his face so he’s looking at him again. Softly brushing his thumb across his bottom lip, he leans in to press a kiss to his mouth. Eyes going wide, Pete stares at him in disbelief when he pulls away, hearing a chuckle. “You have a good night, Petey. Maybe we can hang out again tomorrow.”
He opens his mouth to say something – anything, but nothing comes out. So instead, his just nods, his face on fire as the greaser chuckles once again. He takes a step back, gives him one last smile and finally moves to leave the dorm. Pete’s knees feel weak, his heart racing, thudding so loud against his chest that it reverberates in his ears. He turns to go inside of his room, but a gasp escapes his lips. He rushes after Vance, flinging the heavy door to the dorm rooms open.
“Y-your jacket!” he calls after the teen. Turning back with an innocently confused face, he looks Pete up and down. The leather jacket is still hanging from his shoulders. It was cute that he didn’t put his arms through the sleeves.
“You keep it,” he tells him, a smug grin forming. “Every greaser needs a leather jacket! Consider it a gift!”
“O-oh, o-okay…” He smiles, shrinking in on himself just a bit. “Thank you! I’ll take good care of it!”
Vance just nods, turning his heels and continuing his way out of school grounds and towards home. Pete watches him until he makes a right, disappearing behind the walls. With a soft sigh, he closes the door and returns to his room. He gently takes the jacket off, hanging it on the coat hanger by the door. His heart fluttered as he admired it, and he couldn’t wipe the smile off of his face. He owed Jimmy his gratitude, and come the beginning of the school year, he was going to make his way down to shop class and speak with Neil about joining.

No Matter How You Look at it, My Loving Girlfriend is a Cat Now!
Working with Gam has been such an honor! Her art is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm so glad she enjoyed my whimsical cat idea enough to draw it. Working with her MC, Cho, was a lovely experience, and I hope Cho forgives me for turning her into a cat. <3Thank you to @mysme-rbb for providing this opportunity! Link to Gam's art Instagram: gammam0n Read the story on A03 Summary: Saeran and Cho have been living together for a couple weeks in their new apartment. Co-habitation has had its up and downs, but Saeran thinks he has started to get the hang of everything. He’s even able to cook her favorite breakfast and separate the laundry. Things are looking swell. That is, until his girlfriend turns into a cat.
Saeran’s life really was something out of a fairy tale, if you gathered all the Brothers Grimm tales and mashed them into one horrifying short story with a Snow White happy ending. He thought he had his shit together by this point; who wouldn’t after helping run a cult and years of therapy? You kinda learn something about life in all that mess. But the love of his life, his one and only, Cho, turning into a cat, was something life nor therapy taught him how to deal with. While cute for fiction, the actuality of seeing her curled on the bed, white fluffy tail around her body, sent his eyes twitching.
Earlier, he’d been making them omelettes. She was always waking up early to cook them breakfast, so he’d wanted to do something for her for a change. They’d been living together in their new apartment for just a short while, but she seemed much more put together and relaxed in the fresh environment. He admired her strength, even if he was a tad jealous of her ability to adapt. She was independent, something he could never be, no matter how much he strove. Even with his progress, he still found himself leaning on her too much. Hell, when they’d first met, he’d been running around in the rain for so long, trying to figure out the bus schedule, when she’d stopped to help. She never asked for help, though.
He flopped his finished creation on a plate. Ray nudged the forefront of his mind. Saeran sighed as he prepared a glass of orange juice. All things considered; he was doing so much better than he could have ever imagined. Waking up to cook, laundry, working, they were hard, but he’d endured more and could get through this. He made his way down their tiny hallway with a skip in his step. Just thinking about how it was theirs, and how he was no longer alone. Sure, he had his family and his friends, but having Cho to hold him on those rough nights was simply different. A different kind of home.
He pushed open the bedroom door with his hip. “Time to wake,” he whispered with a grin. “I’ve made you—”
The plate fell to the floor with a clatter. Eggs flew across the floor and landed near the foot of the bed. Saeran coughed. His throat began to itch, and he pulled on his collar. “I…I’m sorry,” he reached down and began cleaning up the mess. “I thought…thought. We were going to pick out one of the kittens from the shelter next week? Because they’re overrun and all…”
Sleeping on the bed was a fluffy, white, cat. It resembled Elizabeth the 3rd in some ways, but its fur was not nearly as long, and its eyes glowed amber in the sunrise of the window. It stretched and yawned before jumping off the bed and eating the eggs off the floor.
Saeran bapped it away. “I don’t know if you can eat everything in this…”
Much to his dismay, the cat did not listen and only ate faster. What was this, a dog in a cats body? He lifted the cat as he stood and stepped over the egg mess. “Cho? Did my brother put you up to this?” He glanced around the corners of the room to find the hidden camera. There was nothing in the bed or closet. His heartbeat throbbed throughout his skull.
“Cho?”
He called her name several more times. She’d just been right here, sleeping under the covers. He hadn’t heard her move from the room. The window was intact. This had to be some joke his brother put her up to. Instinctively, he kissed the top of the cat’s head, and it rubbed its chin along his jawline. He couldn’t help but smile even through his disappointment.
“We said we’d pick one out together. I know, it’s probably dumb of me, but I’m kind of let down. It’s nothing against you, I promise.” He sat the cat on the bed and scratched behind its ear. “Please stay here while I clean this mess. I need to find Cho and see what’s going on.”
As Saeran bent to place the omelette back onto the plate, the cat jumped down once again and dove into the food. He lifted the plate into the air. “You must be hungry. I think we have some wet food.” He grimaced and checked around the floor once more. Cho hadn’t even set up a litter box. Hopefully, it hadn’t peed anywhere.
“I’ll be back.”
He’d said that, but the cat followed him to the kitchen, anyway. Were cats always so friendly? Well, in his experience, some were, but only after lots of food and getting to know one another. Maybe there was a reason Cho picked this one out? He didn’t want to assume anything bad. She was probably on her way to get emergency supplies or something. He discarded the eggs. The cat pawed at the trash can.
“I’m getting you food, hold on.”
He rummaged through the cabinets as the cat circled between his legs. They kept wet food for the stray cats that ran around and were hoping to prepare for a kitten of their own. “I hope you like chicken flavor,” he murmured as he popped open the lid. He dumped the food on a saucer before setting it on the ground.
“There you go. Doesn’t that look yummy?” The cat turned its nose up, and Saeran swore it shook its head. It turned its back to him and sat on the ground. Saeran cleared his throat. “Well, I guess it might be a bit hard to eat.” He grabbed a fork from the cabinet and began cutting the wet food into bite sized pieces. “I guess it does kinda stink, huh?”
The cat squeaked somewhat but did not meow. It jumped onto the counter and stared down at him.
“Oh, do you want to eat it up there?” He sat the plate before the cat.
The cat knocked it to the floor.
Thankfully, it was a plastic plate.
Saeran took a deep breath before anyone impatient could co-front. Maybe Ray would be better at dealing with this. “Okay, chicken is out of the question. Unfortunately, that’s all we have at the moment. The big stray Bo outside loves beef flavor and ate it all up. I think…we have turkey? For sandwiches. Hold on.”
It was a good thing he was off work today. How could Cho leave a cat behind with nothing to eat? He was still expecting his brother to pop out of a corner, but the apartment was eerily silent. Cho had never been so unprepared. He quickly grabbed his cell phone from the top of the fridge (Why was it on top of the fridge? Who left it there? Somehow, he remembered it being up there, so one of his brain mates was probably laughing their ass off.) He dialed Cho.
And it rang.
And rang
And rang
Saeran stared at his phone for far too long until he realized her phone was ringing in the bedroom. He darted for the room, only to find the phone buzzing on top of the dresser, still charging from the night before.
“Cho, this isn’t funny anymore.”
Saeran lunged for the phone and tried to type in the password. Wasn’t it her birthday? Not that they went through each other’s phones all the time, but occasionally they played games together and traded. The phone vibrated in defiance. He didn’t want to lock himself out. He logged into messenger on his own phone, but no one was awake. Not even Jumin Han or Jaehee.
Clattering noises echoed from the kitchen. Crap. He jogged back to the cat to find it…on the table, turkey on bread. A literal sandwich laid before a cat with the cat nibbling the edges. He laughed. Had he made this cat a sandwich and forgot? No, he simply thought about feeding it turkey. Maybe Ray had? No, Ray didn’t show up as far as Saeran could remember. Wait, were cats supposed to have bread?
He set the phones on the table and slid the turkey from the bread slices. “Not for kitties,” he mumbled. “I don’t know how you made yourself a sandwich, but you’re one smart animal.”
A low growl rumbled from the cat’s throat as it sat on its haunches, but otherwise it seemed at peace. Its ears were perked normally, and its tail rested softly at its side. At least it hadn’t mauled him. Maybe Cho had noticed how picky it was and ran out to get groceries. Maybe she’d forgotten her phone? He couldn’t see it, but it was possible.
“Hm, I wonder if you’re a boy or a girl?” He was tired of calling it ‘it’. It didn’t have a collar. “Excuse me,” he went behind the cat and lifted its leg. Both Cho and Saeran had learned to tell the differences between sexes while volunteering for Yoosung’s vet office, so this was nothing but procedure at this point. Its ears laid flat against its head. Saeran apologized once again before putting the cat’s leg down and allowing it freedom. “Well, it’s a girl,” he said, smiling and scratching behind her ear. “I wonder when your mom will be back. Should I got out and look for her? I’m super worried.”
She ignored him, walking past him and to the phones that lie on the table. Her tiny paws tapped the screen of Cho’s phone before it lit to life. Saeran sat down at one of the chairs and blocked the corners of the table with his hands. “Please don’t start knocking over more stuff,” he begged.
His phone began ringing. He quickly picked it up, only to find Cho’s profile across the screen. His eyes darted from Cho’s phone to his. This cat…had called him. Wait, this cat had unlocked the phone!
“I guess you got lucky,” Saeran said, hanging up both phones. He began looking through Cho’s. Everything was normal, her schedule, the menus. He sighed and sat the phone back down. “I guess I’m going to have to go out and find her myself. She’s probably just at the corner store looking for…”
Once again, the cat called him. He jerked the phone out of the cat’s paws and hung everything up. He wasn’t one to believe in the supernatural, but hell if this wasn’t weird. Against his better judgement, he locked Cho’s phone and set it back down. There, cat. See if you can unlock it again.
The cat seamlessly tapped its little paws on the screen, unlocking the phone with what seemed to be Cho’s birthday. Saeran wanted to smack his head on the table. “You can’t be serious. I swear to god if my brother is in here, he will not live to see tomorrow.”
The cat used its nose to click around, smudging the screen in the process. Sarean wiped it with his sleeve. “You’re going to ruin the screen.”
The cat, resigned to its fate of only using its paws, eventually opened up notes and tapped at the keyboard. Saeran--still not believing that the cat knew what it was doing because how could it—chuckled and pet its flank.
Hhji itds mje cvho I lolve u
Saeran slid the phone over to himself and read the garbled message. What…no. Ha. Hahahhahahahhaa. No. That looked an awful too much like Hi it’s me, Cho, I love you but typed with fat cat toes.
Everything was too much of a match for Saeran to doubt. Even the cat’s eyes were the same color. “Cho…is that really you?”
The cat placed a paw on his hand and nodded…cats didn’t nod. Well, unless they were in some cartoon, which Saeran was very much beginning to feel like the protagonist of. Did someone sneak elixir in his juice? Had he taken too much medication?
He gulped. “If…if you’re really Cho, spin around two times.” He wanted to laugh more, but part of him was deathly afraid of his own mental state. The other part of him was afraid for hers.
Saeran almost reached out to stop her as the cat spun around twice. She sat and seemed to glower at him, as if daring him to ask for more party tricks. Saeran lifted his hands in the air in defeat. “Okay, okay, Miss Cho. I believe you. I’m either high as a kite or you’ve somehow turned yourself into a cat, but either way, I trust you.”
Cho nudged his arm with the side of her cheek. God, it was so cute. He couldn’t think like that, though. He had to gather his thoughts. How could they turn her back? Whether he was off his rocker or not, it was important to settle the matter. Cho was a cat for a reason, and even though it was super cute, it was probably not the most comfortable. After all, how could she go to the bathroom? Would he need to get a litter box? Or maybe keeping the lid up on toilet was enough. Could she eat human food, or would that hurt her stomach? While they get to the bottom of this, maybe it would be best to try and get her to eat cat food. Should he take her to the vet?
“Merow.” Cho rolled onto her back, and Saeran’s heart thumped against his ribcage.
“Ha…you’re so cute. I know cats down like belly rubs but…” He reached out tentatively and gently ran his fingers across her belly fur. So…soft. She put her paws around his hand and nibbled his knuckles. “Is that too much?” He tried to pull his hand back, but she bit down harder. “Hey, that’s not fair. Stop that.”
Cho licked his hand apologetically with her sandpaper tongue and let go. Saeran would have to remember not to give too many belly rubs. Hopefully, she would poof back into a human any time, but it would be good to take mental notes of her likes and dislikes. It sort of reminded him of the fairy tales his brother used to tell to put him to sleep.
“Oh, maybe the princess needs a kiss from the prince?” He rested his head on the table and pushed his nose against her wet nose. But how was he to kiss a cat? He pecked her nose and mouth area, but nothing happened. “Well, it was worth a try.”
Cho licked him on the mouth; her sandpaper tongue felt pretty gross, but he tried not to grimace. He thanked her for the kiss and sighed. Maybe whatever was wrong with her would eventually wear off? He’d need to make a list of quality-of-life necessities and see if she agreed with them. In addition to food and toiletries, she probably needed toys. Maybe Jumin could recommend some cat trees.
Jesus Christ, he was beginning to sound like the man himself.
“I’m going to take care of you, Cho. Even if we can’t figure out how to change you back, I’ll love you. Just the way you are.”
Cho stretched into a stand and rammed her head against his several times. He couldn’t help but laugh as fur danced around his nostrils. They’d need several lint rollers, too. Would she want to go out on walks? He couldn’t keep her cooped up in the house, no matter how much he wanted to protect her. It would be fun if she could speak to other cats.
“By the way,” he whispered as he ran his fingers along her back. “I didn’t get to mention it the other day before I left for work. But thank you. You’ve worked really hard to help me despite my struggles. I know it’s not easy living with me. I can be an airhead sometimes, and I shouldn’t have put your shirt in the wash like you said. I just wanted to get it clean because it’s your favorite. Now it’s ruined. Gah, I don’t know anything about this stuff.” He ran his fingers through his hair, and Cho placed a paw on his cheek. He smiled shakily into her paw and pecked it.
Her paw grew warm until it was almost scalding. Before Saeran could freak out, cat paws turned to fingers. Her nose turned human, and the rest of her body followed, save for the cat ears on top of her head. Saeran’s face tingled, and he quickly looked away from her naked form.
“Omelette is ready,” she said. It almost sounded like a morphed meow, but he could tell it was her voice.
Saeran cocked his head to the side. “What?”
“Merowwake up.”
The top of his head began tingling and sent a cool sensation down his neck; he went to scratch his head, but his hands were fuzzy. As he stared at them, they grew into paws. He sneezed as fur tickled his nose. Wait, no. He didn’t want to be a cat, either! How could he learn to cook with his girlfriend? Pick out the kitten together?
As he cried out, only meows echoed against his skull. The kitchen stretched into ginormous walls as he shrunk and shrunk and shrunk. He reached his little paws as far as he could to grab hold of Cho, but he fell off the chair.
Before he hit the ground, his surroundings changed. Bedsheets stuck to his back, and his fingers gripped the comforter. Fingers. Good. He stretched them out in front of his face to make sure he hadn’t grown paws. There were no ears on the top of his head, either.
“You’re acting lively,” Cho said. She set a glass of orange juice on the nightstand. “I hope that means your fever is down.”
Saeran rolled his head over on the pillow. Cho held a plate of omelettes and sat next to him. The bed creaked as she crossed her legs and stabbed the food with a spoon. She wasn’t a cat. He wasn’t a cat. And in the end, he hadn’t even woken up to make her breakfast.
“I’m sorry I’m so useless,” he mumbled. “I meant to wake up and make you something since you’re always doing it.”
She rolled her eyes. “You went to bed with a fever, don’t even start. And I enjoy doing these things. It gives me a sense of freedom.”
She pushed the spoon towards Saeran, and he took the food without complaint. He’d stayed up all night over the toilet; no wonder his dreams were whack. He debated on telling her, but the thought embarrassed him. He didn’t want to seem as cat obsessed as Jumin. Saeran couldn’t lie, though. He was a bit nervous about taking care of something totally reliant upon him, but Cho said they were ready.
After his meal, Cho gave him cold medicine and ran her fingers through his hair. “I know you’re stressed about postponing with the shelter,” she said, gathering the dishes. “But it’s no big deal. Just get some rest.” She leaned down and kissed his nose.
He closed his eyes and touched where she had kissed, making sure to imprint it into his memory. “I’m sorry about your shirt,” he mumbled.
She sighed and pushed a strand of hair behind his ear. “Don’t worry about it. Make it up to me by feeling better soon, okay?”
He nodded as she left the room with dishes in tow. His eyes were heavy even though he had just slept. Part of him wanted to jump up and offer to do the dishes. Offer to make her food. Offer something, anything. Yet his body fought against his mind. There was no energy left in his limbs. He’d make it up to her eventually. He’d promised her that he’d take better care of himself. Thus, he allowed the voices to quiet down in his mind and sleep peacefully.

Unnatural Affairs. Chapter 5: Killer Moves, Dude.
(Lyn)
I sighed deeply through my nose as I handed in my test. I legit have no idea how I did on it. Religion in Pop Culture was a fun class, but some of the material was challenging. I mumbled my thanks to the prof and hefted my bag over my shoulder as I headed out.
It’s been nearly 3 weeks since the shower incident. No other freaky shit had happened, so I guess it was just a hideously stupid prank. Our guess was it was one of the other teams just playing a prank on us, or the women’s soccer team. We were the only ones who would have been in the locker room at that time.
Still, the whispers and the strange looks were starting to get on my nerves. I normally would argue that I was an easy-going kind of person, but this kind of attention had made my mood sour as of late.
“Why the scowl, Lyn-Lyn?”
I glanced over when Loryn bumped hips, finding a little smile on her face.
“Just finished writing a test and heard yet another ‘bet they’re gonna lose the banner again’ whispers,” I said, rolling my eyes. “I swear, these people are making me want to commit bloody murder.”
“Aw, don’t let them get to you,” said Loryn, wrapping her arms around mine, “they ain’t worth it.”
“I know, I know. It’s just hard, you know?”
Loryn nodded. “Yup, totes. But seriously, Lyn, I have a good feeling about this year. I feel like barring any extreme accidents, we’re gonna kick Turner’s ass this year and win that banner.”
I finally cracked a real smile. “Loryn, you know you’re awesome, right?”
“I mean, obviously. That’s why everyone loves me,” she said with a cheeky grin.
I snorted, the tension finally leaving my body. I said goodbye to Loryn, who was heading to her next class as I headed to the pool to teach swim lessons.
Loryn was one of those people who just knew how to get under my skin, in a good way. We were frosh together, and ended up in the same res. When we both showed up for the rookie week, we had a good laugh about the coincidence and because fast friends. Loryn came from a family of four girls, which according to her meant she was ‘a-mazing at dealing with conflict’ and it was hard to bring her mood down. She was planning on going to school after this to become a middle school teacher, which I thought was awesome. I was lucky to have a good friend in her, because my first year here was… well, let’s just say I was going through some stuff.
I pulled off my shirt as I walked into the AC, waving to Hassan, who was working at the desk today. He was a really sweet guy on the Badminton team, and admittedly I used to have a huge crush on, so every now and then I liked to tease him when I went by.
He grinned as he waved back, and I snickered as I bounded down the stairs to head into the locker room. I could hear all the kids chatting and messing around in there as I punched in the password to the swim team’s locker room. Those sounds always brightened my mood, and by the time I was done changing, my mood was pretty much back to the usual Lyn Hart standard.
I stepped onto the pool, laughing as a couple of the kids immediately ran to my side. Hunter, Joy, Kevin and Morgan loved me and always raced over to tell me about their days or whatever else crossed their minds. I sat down on the pool edge as they all spoke over each other to be heard, and eventually I had to settle them down so I could start the lesson.
I hopped into the pool and demonstrated the skills they needed to learn for this week’s lesson. I always loved getting in with them and showing them how to do it right. Too often do I see the other instructors standing on the pool deck, not really engaging in teaching. I get it, it’s not for everyone, but sometimes it’s not about you, it’s about the kids. Some of these kids…swim practice is their escape, they need this. If you aren’t there to be supportive, then why are you here in the first place?
The lesson went by so fast, and it was time for our practice. I said goodbye to the little guys and quickly threw on my cap and goggles. Time to get this underway.

“Lyn?”
I looked up from my laptop bleary eyed. Kerry pulled out a chair and sat down next to me. “Yeah? Wassup?”
She sighed as she leaned back, pulling her leg up on the seat. “I know this is going to sound so utterly stupid, but I’m nervous about the meet this weekend. I just haven’t been in a great head space recently, and with all the drama surrounding us and Gunner, I guess I’m just feeling overwhelmed.”
“Hey,” I said, reaching over and taking her hand in mine, “that is not stupid at all. Don’t ever think how you feel is stupid, got it?”
Kerry gave a lopsided smile. “Thanks, Lyn.”
I smiled in return. “Always. Now, did you tell Emma about how you felt? Or Andrew?”
“No,” she shook her head. “I will, yeah. Just…I wanted to talk to someone else about it first. It’s one of those things where you know that once you talk to someone is like ‘oh, why’d you take so long to say something?’ but still take your time.”
“I totally get that. I tend to keep things all bottled up until it just explodes out, you know? Loryn is the only one who knows how to get it out of me. Remember at the Halloween Bash last year when I finally lost my shit and decked Frankie across the chin?” I shook my head in shame.
Kerry chuckled. “I have to admit though, Frankie deserved it. He was being such a dick.”
I smirked, thinking back to that night. Frankie probably did deserve it but resorting to physical violence was something I should avoid in the future.
All of a sudden, Matt popped out of nowhere. It was like he was using his twin sense to find Kerry. Honestly, it was cute. Kerry seemed to be the more sensitive of the two on the surface, but in reality, it was Matt. He was constantly checking in on Kerry and would seriously drop anything to make sure she was okay. Kerry and Gunner were in an on again off again relationship for the past 6 months, and clearly his drug incident was bothering her a lot more than she was letting on. Matt walked over and plopped down on the table.
“Did I miss anything important?”
“I was admitting to my undying love to your sister, and we’re running away together after the swim meet tomorrow to move to Calgary,” I said seriously. Kerry nodded solemnly beside me.
Matt rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out. “How are y’all feeling about it, anyhow?”
I shrugged. “I mean, the first meet of the season. Feeling a little nervous, but otherwise same as always.”
“Ah, the Stonewall Lyn is coming back out to play, huh?”
“I hate it when you call me that,” I said with a whine, slumping onto the table. “It’s not like I’m impenetrable.”
“No, that much is obvious,” said Kerry with a smirk. Matt burst into laughter as my ears got hot. I reached over and squeezed Kerry’s arm, causing her to jokingly squeal in pain.
Someone yelled at us to shut up, and we all quieted down guiltily. Sometimes I forget that you still had to be quiet in the library. Matt slipped off the table and pulled out his own laptop, and the three of us decided to do our homework together.

My head burst through the water as I took a breath. I could barely hear them all shouting at me to go faster, that I was only close behind Sophie LeBlanc from Turner University. We both hit the wall and I pushed off, kicking hard. I could see in the corner of my eye that we were neck and neck for the final 25 meters. Sophie was faster than me, but I had more endurance. The 200 Fly was where I shined. My hands smacked against the wall and I immediately looked up to check the clock. A huge grin broke out on my face when I saw the number 1 next to my name. Sophie smiled at me and I reached over the lane rope to give her a hug.
“Good swim,” I huffed out.
“You too,” she breathed heavily.
I pulled myself out and shakily walked over to where the team was waiting, clapping me on the back. Maddie handed me my towel and I listened to Coach Jacob point out some things I did well and things I could work on, nodded when I needed to. He clapped me on the shoulder and sent me to the warm down pool.
I hopped in and swam a couple of laps lazily, to get that lactic acid moving out of my system. I stopped at the wall and watched Kerry swim her 50 Breast, cheering as she hit the wall for a turn. Despite her initial nerves, she was on fire this meet.
I swam back to the other end of the warm down pool and jumped out. I quickly threw on my swim parka and sweatpants, not wanting to get cold. The relay was the last event, and I needed to be ready to swim the Fly sprint. I walked over to where Emma, Maddie, and Tammy were, getting each other pumped up.
Emma huddled us together and closed her eyes. “Alright, you psycho bitches, we’re going to kill this relay. We’re not going to let Turner or Francois step all over us this year. You girls are seriously some of the best people I’ve ever had the joy of swimming with. Wolves on 3. 1, 2, 3!”
We all shouted “WOLVES” and hurried over to the starting block. Maddie chucked all her stuff into the box behind the timer’s chairs and waited for the whistle blow before hopping into the water. A jolt of nervous energy shot through my system as the buzzer went off, and so did the swimmers. I tossed all my stuff off too and slapped my arms and legs as part of my good luck ritual. I spared a glance over at Sophie, who gave me a cheeky smile before getting settled herself.
Maddie was fast approaching the wall, and Tammy was raring to go. She dove in the second Maddie’s fingertip brushed the wall, her form as beautiful as always. I shouted with the others as loudly as I could, before getting onto the block myself. Tammy was slicing through the water, looking as awesome as she did. I know she was exhausted from her 50 Breast swim from earlier, but it didn’t show at all as she kept pace with the others. Tammy’s hands slammed into the wall and I dove in, kicking as hard as I possibly could and fell into a mad rhythm, trying to keep pace with Sophie and Megan from Francois University. My lungs were screaming for air by the time I hit the wall for my turn, and I took a quick breath. My body was already in agony from my earlier swims, but I had to push through that for them. I hit the wall hard and Emma dove in. Maddie helped me out as I struggled to catch my breath. Emma was already halfway down the pool when I got out, trying my best to cheer for her despite my lack of oxygen. Kim Hawks from Turner was one of the best freestyle sprinters in the province, and while Emma was good, she wasn’t as good as Kim. I just hoped that we did enough to stay in the race.
Emma slammed her hand against the wall, and we all looked at the timer on the wall, holding our breaths. Turner popped up in the number 1 spot, unfortunately. But Mount Seamus showed up in the number 2 spot right after and we cheered. Maybe it wasn’t first, but yeah, beating Francois felt pretty damn good. We helped Emma out of the pool and held each other for a minute. I could feel the pride oozing off of us, and that was amazing. The points all mattered in the end, but right now, we did good.

Mondays after a swim meet were always the hardest. You were exhausted and spent the whole Sunday evening catching up on any work you were behind on. The only thing nice about them was morning practice was cancelled.
I yawned my whole way through my Asia World History course, even though it was one of my favourite classes. It was just hard when you were as tired as I was. I was just lucky since I did the readings ahead of time, because I know my notes were total garbage today.
Professor Gorgens told me I did an awesome job this weekend as I left class, and I gave him a warm smile. The guy was a bit of an egotistical jerk sometimes, but he did care about his students and made an effort to keep up with how the athletes were doing.
The food hall was a little quieter today, as students were frantically studied for their first batch of tests or they were just getting sick of the food already, which does happen. I yawned as I grabbed a couple of the premade sandwiches and some of the less questionable fruits. I didn’t really feel like eating inside right now, so I lumbered outside.
I sat down under the big tree, taking small bites out of my sandwich as I read through my textbook for my next class. It was just about October, and while it was starting to cool down, it was still nice enough out to enjoy the weather.
It felt like I was starting to doze off when I heard someone say my name. I looked up groggily and saw Ally waving to me.
“Oh, hey, Ally,” I said. “How have you been?”
Her eyes flickered to the tree uneasily before looking back at me. “Oh, good! I just finished writing my first midterm and have another one tomorrow. So, just been a little busy. How about you?”
I shrugged. “Good. Busy with swimming and school, so the usual.”
I’m not sure what was going on with Ally, but she kept looking up at the branches with some obvious discomfort. I looked up as well, wondering if there was an animal or something, but I didn’t see anything out of the norm. I looked back to her, and when we made eye contact, she gave me a tight smile.
“Is there…is there something wrong?” I asked hesitantly.
Her smile tightened even more, and she shook her head. “Nope, nothing is wrong. Why would you think there’s something wrong?”
Uh, okay. That was weird. I frowned and said, “Well, because you’re all wound up about something.”
“Am I?”
“You seem to be.”
She made a popping sound with her mouth. “I see. Well…this is going to sound so strange, so don’t judge me please, but I don’t like the vibes from the tree.”
I stared at her blankly before nodding. “Yeah, okay. That makes sense.”
“It does?” She sounded genuinely surprised.
“Yeah, totally.” I stood up, brushing my butt off and walking away from the tree. “According to the history of the school, this tree was planted on an old mass grave. It freaks a lot of people out because of that, but I always found it a nice spot to sit.”
Ally’s face paled as she took in the tree entirely. I don’t think I totally understood what was bothering her, but I gently pushed her away until the colour returned to her face. Whatever it was about the tree bothered her, and I was going to respect that.
“Does that bother you?” I asked as I continued to lead her away.
Ally gave a slow nod. “I…it just makes me uncomfortable, that’s all. I didn’t realize that there were so many buried skeletons at this school.” She tried to look over at it one last time, but I placed my hand on her face and directed her attention to me instead.
When our eyes connected, Ally made a strange face as her cheeks turned red. I know sometimes my stare can be pretty intense, according to the several people on the team who told me, so I dropped my hand and looked away slightly.
“Sorry, I just didn’t think you should be looking at the tree if it was freaking you out that much, you know?” I said with a grin.
“Oh, uh, yes!” Ally composed herself and nodded firmly. “Thank you for that. Sometimes I just get into my own head and it’s hard to get out of there.”
“Anxiety can be a bitch,” I said with sympathy.
“You don’t even know the half of it,” she said with a small chuckle.
I walked with Ally to her next class, just wanting to make sure everything was all good before I headed to mine. Some nice-looking guy with a small scar on his eyebrow was waiting for her when we got there, and I waved goodbye to her as I walked down the steps. Ally seemed more adjusted to the student life than last time I spoke to her, which was good. I was glad that she was making friends and finding herself a nice routine to fall into.
I was just about to dash to my class when I realized I left all my things under the tree when I made Ally leave. I ran over and gathered all my things quickly, sparing one last glace at the branches before leaving.
Maybe it was the trick of my eye, but it did kind of look like there was a shadow. I blinked and looked again, only to see the clear sky through the branches. Huh.

Practice was an easy affair today. Coach Jacob liked to give us one easy day after a meet, something we all appreciated. Plus, he started the day off with great news.
“Gunner is allowed to compete again!” he announced before any of us got into the water.
Several people cheered and Kerry gave him a small peck on the cheek. Gunner looked embarrassed but determined. He apologized to all of us for his behaviour this summer and that he was going to make it up to us.
Jackie reached over and patted his shoulder. “Hey, it happens to the best of us, Gunner. My sister fell in with the wrong crowd and ended up needing rehab. The important thing is that you got clean.”
Gunner brushed away tears and gave her a hug, which caused a huge group hug. I was happy for him, really. Sure, he made a mistake. But you’re supposed to be allowed to learn from those mistakes and grow from them. He was lucky to have such a good support system, because not everyone did. Coach Jacob rubbed his head and told everyone to get into the water and to stop being so sappy. A few of us laughed as we broke up the hug and did as we were told.
It was about halfway through practice when Jackie hopped out of the pool to run to the bathroom. Normally Coach Jacob hated when we did that, but I think he was in a good mood today, so he let it slide. He read through the next set and we got to work.
It wasn’t until we were finished with the set that I noticed Jackie hadn’t returned. That was really strange. I think other people noticed too, because I saw some heads swiveling as they looked for her. Jackie’s lane partner Tammy said under her breath, “What’s taking her so long? Did her tampon get stuck or something?”
I said I’d go see what was going on and pushed myself out of the pool. I padded lightly into the locker room and called out her name, only to get no response. I felt my heart speed up a little, as I felt a pit of concern growing in my stomach.
I walked into where the bathrooms were and knocked on all the doors. Still nothing. Maybe she just had to race home for something? I couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling, however. That wasn’t like Jackie at all. She always made sure to let people know where she was going, even if it was a sudden situation change.
My heart was pounding loudly in my ears now as I called out again and still got nothing in return. I shuddered as I walked towards the locker room, feeling a sudden chill. I shakily punched in the combination and opened the door to where our lockers were located.
I couldn’t help but shriek when I saw Jackie lying on the floor in a puddle of blood. She groaned as I grabbed a towel and shoved it against her stomach, where it looked like someone had cut her with something. She opened her eyes and tried to say something, but I shushed her.
“Jackie, sweetie, don’t say anything right now,” I said, trying to keep the panic from my voice. “You need to lie very still, okay?”
She gave the teeniest of nods as her eyes lost focus again. I heard someone running into the change room, most likely responding to the sound of my scream.
I move the door with my foot so the worst of the scene is hidden from view. “Don’t come in!” I shouted.
“Lyn, what’s going on?” That was Loryn.
“Jackie’s been hurt, she needs medical attention ASAP.”
I heard Loryn swear loudly. “Lyn, my phone is in there!”
“Use the phone on the deck or upstairs!” My voice cracked with fear as the blood seeped through the towel. I grabbed another one and applied pressure on the wound, praying that it would slow down or stop. Jackie was looking very pale, and her breathing was shallow.
I forced myself to look away for a second, knowing I was getting tunnel vision. The lockers were all open and the light overhead was out. There were huge gouges in the wall that looked like they were trying to spell something, but I was not in the right head space to even try and read it right now.
The door opened and Coach Jacob stood in the doorway, taking the scene in. He went very pale and had to lean against the wall to keep himself upright.
“I-is she…?”
I shook my head. “Breathing, alive for now. She needs to get to the hospital, now.”
He nodded shakily. “They’re on the way. Loryn…she called.”
Thank God for Loryn. She was good a keeping calm under pressure. I looked down at Jackie and breathed a little easier when I saw that this towel hadn’t soaked through. I have no idea who did this to her, but they couldn’t have gotten too far. I felt like crying so bad right now, but the tears just wouldn’t come out. It was like my body knew what it needed to do right now, and crying was not it.
I refused to leave Jackie’s side until the paramedic gently removed me from the scene to ask some questions. I answered them the best I could, but I honestly had no idea what happened. I thought it was a stab mark at first, but as I thought about it a little bit more, I couldn’t get the visual of claw marks out of my head.
XXX
I sat on the hospital bed, my guts tied up into a nervous knot. I had to be brought in because I went into shock after I- well, after it. I checked my phone and paused when I saw that I missed a call from home. That was something unusual. Honestly? I didn’t feel like dealing with that right now, so I just swiped the notification off. If they couldn’t be bothered to leave a voice mail, then I can’t be bothered to call them back.
There was a knock at the door. I looked over as Loryn, Kerry, and Matt poked their heads in. I smiled weakly as they shuffled into the room. I took Loryn’s hand into my own as she sat down on my bed. Matt pulled over another chair and him and Kerry sat down next to the bed.
“Is…Jackie…?” I croaked, unable to get the words out.
Loryn nodded slightly. “Jackie is okay. She needed some serious stiches and won’t be able to compete for the rest of the season. Jacob and Robin are with her while they wait for her parents to arrive.”
I sighed in minor relief. “At least she’s okay. Um…did they find anyone?”
“They claim that they found a guy wielding a knife,” said Matt. “But Lyn, I’m not too sure about that. Why would some random guy attack a student in the locker room?”
That was my thought too. Also, I swear it was claw marks. They were straight across, not stabbed in. The thought of Jackie lying on the floor flashed in my mind and I had to squeeze my eyes shut as I waited out the wave of nausea. Loryn squeezed my hand as I struggled to control myself.
“Did they give you anything?” she asked quietly.
I shook my head slowly. “No, I refused.”
“Why’d you refuse?”
“I didn’t want to be drugged up if something happened to Jackie…”
There was a tense silence in the room. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything else, so I directed my attention to the window. The ticking of the clock sounded incredibly loud as time passed by. The IV pump I was connected to chugged along as it pumped some fluids into my body. I could hear Kerry sniffling in her chair, unable to say the words she needed to hear. It was like my brain was shutting down, unable to process what had happened.
Poor Jackie didn’t deserve this. Not that anyone did, but Jackie was such a sweet person. She would give you the shirt off her back if you asked and would then give you even more. This was a random attack, but why? The why was bouncing around, giving me a headache.
I felt Loryn reach over and brush her thumb against my cheek. I looked at her confused as to why she did that, then I realized I was actually crying. I don’t cry often; it just wasn’t something I did. I began to tremble and completely lost it when the three of them gave me a tight hug.
I cried and cried until I couldn’t anymore.

Want You Back (Mob! Seb AU)
Want You Back
Sequel to: Back For You
Run-through: After your quite steamy one night stand with the mob boss, it was rather clear via the note he left you; that he was not yet done with you. Despite the emotional turmoil you were caught up in, you were certain that he’d come back for you. But were you ready for that?
Themes: language, mob boss! Seb, smut, slight dark side of characters, Daddy kink, possessive! Seb, stalking tendencies, slight temperature play. A.k.a this gets pure filthy at the end so, hide your children.
A/N: The symbols “^^^” represent a change of POV. Don’t worry, it’s not confusing. Oh and, um, kinky shit ahead.
Tumblr media
After he left your apartment, Sebastian drove straight to his hotel room for a quick change; given that he had left his shirt at your place as a souvenir. Then he drove to the airport.
Around 3 a.m. in the dark of the night, he boarded his private jet in his quest to France. There were certain problems which erupted there and he had to be there physically to get everything and everyone under control again.
Once he got inside the flight, he leaned his head back on his velvety seat and sighed out loud. He had a sly smile on his face as he remembered you; your face, your touch, the way you moaned his name under your breath and how your body moved sinfully under his touch.
Usually, he never gave the women that he slept with another thought. But you, you invaded his mind. You infiltrated his thoughts and he couldn’t fight back.
He felt bad for leaving you alone in your bed. And he couldn’t bring himself to wake you up before he left, because you looked like a literal angel, so he left you a note. And just so you wouldn’t get cold, he wrapped his shirt and your blanket around your sleeping frame carefully, placed a soft kiss on your forehead and left silently.
Sebastian thought about how you looked as you slept, your face prettier than before thanks to the afterglow, courtesy to him. Your lips were plumper than before, due to the amount of times he bit them. Your bare body was covered in the dark red marks he caused.
He smiled knowing that he would be the first thing you’d think about when you’ll wake up in the morning. He knew that you’d have a slight difficulty in walking and sitting down, his pride amplified as he’d happily take the blame for that.
He knew deep inside that you would soon find out who he really is. A cold hearted mob boss. But he also knew that you wouldn’t run away from him.
Of course you wouldn’t, he thought, you were his girl now.
He smiled at the thought of you being his, as he whipped out his phone and dialed a number he knew by heart.
“Chris! Hey man, long time huh? Yeah, it’s just real busy these days. Listen man, I need a favor. There’s a girl named Y/n who works at a pub called The Red Tavern, I need you to find everything you can about her. Family backgrounds, friends, ex-boyfriends, you know the drill,” he spoke, picking up the coffee cup the blonde hostess had just placed in front of him.
Through the phone came Chris’ voice.
“Sure buddy, I’ll get my people on it. By the way, who is she? A super hot stripper you simply can’t forget, huh?” he asked, followed by his signature laugh. Something which signaled that he was slightly drunk.
Seb shook his head, if this man wasn’t his friend, he’d have his head for his lack of seriousness in his work.
“Just do as I say, Chris. We’ll talk when you’re sober,” Sebastian spoke in a tired, monotonous tone and with that, he hung up.
Chris Evans, the Huntsman as many knew him, was exactly what he was titled as. A hunter, a man who could gather information about anyone and anything, anywhere in the world within the span of an hour or two. He was Sebastian’s closest friend and one of the very few people he trusted.
After the quick phone call, Sebastian took a quick nap; during which he dreamt of you.
By now he had memorized every curve on your body. He knew your weak spots, he knew that all it takes is a soft kiss right over the skin under your right ear and you lost all control over your own body.
Due to his…profession, he was required to be very observant. And he indeed was. He noticed how your back would arch off the bed sheets every time he dragged a finger down your clit, tracing your glistening entrance as your sweet slick coated his middle finger.
He noticed how goose bumps would follow the faint brush of his fingers along your skin. He took note of your scent; your slightly fruity scent– perhaps it was peach, and the faint hint of caffeine on your tongue along with the raw taste of your mouth. He loved it.
Your soft moans, his name sounded so sinful coming out of your mouth while you came undone under him.
He woke up due to the slight pain in his neck, because it was angled weirdly while he slept. And he woke with an excited member as well.
God… what is she doing to me?
He rubbed the sore side of his neck and had the boner taken care of by the mouth of the sultry hostess who was more than happy to assist him in his hardship. No pun intended.
Once he landed in Charles De Gaulle in the bustling city of Paris, he had his awaiting driver take him to the warehouse where those assholes who worked for him couldn’t even handle a bunch of other assholes who weren’t willing to let his cargo of weapons get through, and reach an ally.
The task was easy; talk to them in his ‘I-mean-business’ tone and see if they agreed to his demands, if they didn’t, he’d have his people ‘take care’ of them while he hired other people to do what he wanted.
Personally, call him crazy but believe it or not, he didn’t like easy things. Perhaps that’s what drew him to you; your ability to make him chase.
Fuck, there you were again. Invading his thoughts without any shame.
Once he had dealt with the men, he left.
In the car, on his way home; he received an email from Chris. He smiled as he clicked on it, everything one can ever know about you unveiling in front of his eyes.
Your full name, where you grew up, information about your parents, your school, your high school, college, the degree you pursued, your social media, your phone password, where you ever went on family vacation, some of your pictures as well. Basically, everything.
He sent a quick text to Chris thanking him as he scrolled through all your details.
The more he learnt about you, the more protective he got. You were his girl, and no one was touching his girl from now on.
He couldn’t risk leaving you his phone number, but damn he wanted to hear your voice. He wanted to feel you in his arms, he wanted to feel the soft brush of your hair on his face. He wanted you. And when the mob boss wanted something, he always got it.
^^^
You were freaking out, you simply did not know what to do.
Oh my good God, I just slept with the mob boss.
Those words repeated in your head and you were getting more and more worried. He said he’d come back for you. But would he really? Don’t powerful people like him have women around them all the time? Then why would he come back for a random one night stand?
Perhaps that was just his thing, maybe he left a note to every person he slept with. Maybe he went on with his life and forgot about them like a meaningless dream.
You still had the note in your grip, and your phone in the other hand.
What should I do? Should I call someone? You thought, but your inner voice didn’t reply.
You wondered if it were safe for you to stay here. Fuck, just digesting the fact that the notorious mob boss was here, in your apartment, in your bed, fucking you into your mattress just a few hours ago was crazy.
The thought of calling the cops rushed through your head very briefly, but what would you say? He was like fog, catching him was impossible because he has loyal people all over the world who covered his tracks. Even the police gave up on catching him long ago.
The thought which bothered you the most, was that you liked him. His mysteriousness, his broody nature, his…darkness. The way he touched you, the way he dragged his lips almost everywhere across your skin. The way his lips reminded you that you were his in that moment. You liked it all, but you shouldn’t.
He was dangerous, everyone knew that. But he was gentle, you thought.
There, you were losing your mind.
Mindlessly, you tapped on the screen of your phone and before you knew it, you were calling your dad.
You were closest with your dad, although you didn’t like his new wife very much, but he was still your favorite parent.
You didn’t know why you were calling him, but all you knew was that you had to reassure yourself that you weren’t alone in this.
“Hey honey!” came your dad’s cheery voice through the phone. It sounded as if he was somewhere very windy. A beach perhaps. Wait, there are no beaches in NYC…
“Hey dad, can- can we talk?” you wanted to get to the point straightaway. You obviously couldn’t tell him what happened, but you needed the support.
“Yeah honey, is everything okay? Are you okay?” his concerned voice came through, and a tear escaped your eye. You missed him terribly, and you tried your hardest not to sob.
“Yeah, I was just thinking about, uh, can- God, can I come and stay over for a day or two? It’s, I mean, being alone all the time isn’t that cool anymore,” you asked, hoping he’d say yes.
You didn’t quite like his wife, but she was never rude to you. You could easily deal with her for a few days until you got your thoughts in check and Sebastian out of your system.
God, even just saying his name mentally forced a shiver down your spine.
“Hey, peanut, are you sure you’re okay. I mean, of course you can stay over honey. It’s just that, Mariah and I are travelling at the moment. So, even if you come over, you’re gonna be alone for a long while before we come back, I-,”
“Oh that’s okay! I mean, maybe a change of scenery will do me good, yeah? I, uh, I have the keys that you left me. Can I go over, say tomorrow?” you asked, desperately wanting to get away.
“Of course you can sweetie, you’re always welcome to stay over! Just remember, there’s no food left so you’ll have to shop for some baby. We won’t be home for at least 3 weeks, feel free to have your friends over! Love you Y/n,” came your dad’s wife’s voice through the phone as she answered instead of your dad.
“Thanks Mariah. Love you dad, talk soon,” with that, you hung up, closing your eyes as you let a few more tears fall.
You finally understood why you needed to get away. It wasn’t because you didn’t feel safe, it’s because you still felt him in this apartment. His scent still lingered very faintly in the air, and knowing that he wasn’t coming back for you like he promised to – hurt. It hurt a bit more than you expected.
It was your own fault, you thought. You got attached too quickly.
You quickly booked a flight to NYC and started packing your bags. Hopefully being away from the apartment would help you get rid of the memories of the short-lived moments with the beautiful stranger.
You called your co-worker and let her know that you had to leave because of an emergency in the family, she was irritated at first due to the short notice, but understood nonetheless.
Before leaving, you debated whether or not you should call your friends and let them know that you were going to be in their city for a few days. And eventually, you did.
^^^
“What the fuck did you just say?” Sebastian barked into the phone, his anger getting the best of him as he couldn’t believe the words Chris just spoke.
“Dude, you’re really gonna make me repeat that shit? I said, your chick just left town. She booked a flight to New York just now and you’re not gonna like this part but she just called a number belonging to one of your rivals man, she might just be another bitch they set t-,”
“DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE! She’s not like that, she’s- look, just figure out where she’s going. I’m flying to New York within the next few hours. Keep me posted if there’s anything,” with that said, and receiving a sheepish ‘okay’ from Chris, Sebastian hung up the phone.
He paced around his room as the sunlight came through the windows, brightening the room. Yet, he thought, nothing matched the glow in your eyes as he buried himself deep inside you.
His thoughts raced, as he acknowledged every possibility of your sudden movement.
Could it be that you were trying to get away, thinking he couldn’t find you wherever you went?
That thought made him laugh, not in a good way.
Phone still in his hand, with the picture of you puckering your lips and your middle fingers held high up above you head, as his lock screen; he threw his body on his bed. Oh how would he like to have you here with him, right beside him.
But no, you decided to run away and make him chase you even more. Your unpredictability was driving him crazy, and for some weird reasons, he liked it.
His thumb hovered his phone screen, right above your puckered lips as he took in your appearance in the picture. Denim jacket, black pants and boots – you looked like a badass angel and it made him smile.
“Babygirl, I was coming back for you. I thought you’d accept me for who I am, but here you are; running away from me. Why did you have to run from me? But don’t worry, I still want you back. You’re mine,” he whispered out loud, to himself, as the thought of having you in his arms again was all he could focus on.
He chuckled darkly as he closed his eyes, thinking about you.
When he’d find you, he’d make sure you never run away again. And Sebastian was a man of his words, and he was coming to find his girl.
^^^
As soon as you landed in NYC at around 4 p.m., you hired a cab and had the driver take you straight to your dad’s house. It was a spacious home, planted on an equally spacious property. Your dad was a nature loving person, so needless to say, the front yard was impeccable.
You fished out the bunch of keys and unlocked the door, stepping inside. You smiled as you looked around. The colors, the décor, the house was very warm and welcoming.
After roaming around for a bit, checking out the mini library area and the kitchen. You desperately needed a shower and food.
You settled for the room with the view of the back yard and had a quick, hot shower then made your way to the garage.
You drove to a café, grabbing a coffee and a croissant then made your way to the very busy grocery store.
When you parked your dad’s car, which you borrowed for the trip, you couldn’t help but notice a slick, shiny black Audi parked only a couple slots away from you.
You sat still in the passenger’s seat and watched it intently. The windows were tainted, just like Sebastian’s. But it couldn’t be him, right? I wouldn’t be him.
So many people owned black Audis, it could be anyone.
You convinced your heart that it wasn’t him, yet you couldn’t silence the little voice in your head which refused to believe you.
You roamed around the unfamiliar store for a bit, admitting that it was at least 3 times the size of the one you had back home in your little town. And there were so many people, and they were all in a rush.
Caught in the fast flow, you somehow knocked against someone’s cart and were about to fall, if two strong arms didn’t catch you in time.
Once you were back on your feet, stable, you couldn’t help your racing heartbeat. You were much more scared to turn around and find a certain blue eyed man, rather than the fact that you were just about to fall in front of so many people in an unknown city.
Reluctantly, you turned around.
And your fear subsided once you noticed that your savior didn’t have blue eyes. Instead, he had brown, soft eyes. And, an equally soft smile.
“Hey there, you alright?” he asked, his voice deep and his eyes comforting.
You blushed in embarrassment.
“I- I’m, yeah, sorry typically out of town girl. Thanks for saving me!” you chuckled, trying to reduce the awkwardness.
“Oh that’s alright. Be careful though. I’m Anthony, and you are?” he spoke, crossing his arms over his chest. He was fit, given he looked like he was in his late thirties.
Weird, you thought, why did all attractive men have to be way older than you were?
Anthony flashed a gorgeous smile at you. His tawny skin shining despite the gloomy weather.
“Y/n,” and after that, you had quite a lengthy conversation with him.
He told you about his job, a martial arts instructor. He asked you how come you were in NYC and you replied saying you needed to get away for a while because you were trying to forget something.
You exchanged numbers and promised to get coffee before you left to go back home.
After parting ways with Anthony, you shopped for the basics and decided that it was only this much you could carry in one go. You’d come back for more stuff if you needed.
You had spent a good hour in the store and when you got back to your car, you noticed that the black Audi was still in its spot.
Paranoia got the best of and you couldn’t help but feel a shiver down your spine. Would he really follow you though, when he could have any other women, why would he waste his time on you?
You tried shaking your disturbing thoughts and drove back to the house.
Once you placed all your stuff in the pantry, the day’s activities took a heavy toll on you. And after putting together a quick turkey sandwich, you decided to call it an early night.
Only, fate had other plans…
^^^
He just sat there, in the dark, in her temporary bedroom. His trustee, shiny revolver was in his hand – not because he planned on using it, God no, he would never hurt his girl; but because holding it reminded him of who he truly was. And it was comforting.
He had followed her to the store, car parked not far from hers. She noticed, he believes, but she didn’t care. Why didn’t she care?
She looked good, he thought, she looked really good. He was proud that she was his, and he even had a smile on his face until he saw her talking to the tall dark dude.
He saw them through the glass panes and his jaw ticked. His hands itched as all he wanted to do was to smash that fucker’s face to the ground when he saw his hands on his girl.
He noticed that they exchanged numbers, and the fire inside him burned brighter, hotter with need. Need to get that fuck face out of the way. Need to have her under him and remind her who she belongs to. Need to remind her who he was.
But all he could do was wait. He waited for her to get out of the store and get back in her car. He noticed that she gave his car another puzzled look.
He smirked. His girl remembered him.
And now here he was, barged into her dad’s home and sat in the unlit bedroom, waiting for her. He toyed with his gun in his hands, the little light from the dark sky hitting the shiny metal as he sighed for the third time.
He was stalking her, he knew, but she was his. His alone.
A couple of minutes later, he heard her walking up the stairs, her soft thuds echoing off the walls of the empty house as his sinister smirk grew wider.
The bedroom door opened and in walked his babygirl. She hadn’t noticed him yet; given he was in the furthest and darkest corner of the room.
As soon as she walked in, she took her top off – closing the door with her foot. Then resumed to take her black jeans off as well, leaving her in her white set of underwear.
His eyes widen at the unexpected strip show, followed by a smirk as his pants grew tighter.
He watched as she picked up her clothes from the floor and threw them into the hamper and before she could turn around, she heard his voice.
^^^
You took your clothes of and threw them carelessly into the hamper, you didn’t know why, but you could never sleep with clothes on. As you were turning around, you heard a husky voice speaking from behind you.
“Well that was quite a show, can’t say I’m even the slightest bit mad though, babygirl,” it said, and once it finished talking, your heart sank as if it were dropped into a bottomless pit.
You turned around completely and faced him.
He sat on the antique, blue velveteen cushioned chair like as if it was a throne he deserved. He looked powerful, majestic and if you weren’t half naked in front of him, maybe you’d stare at him longer.
You hurried in grabbing the closest thing to you to cover your body, turns out it was a jacket you had taken off earlier during the day.
You held the jacket in front of you as Sebastian rose up from his seat, and only then did you notice the gun in his hand. And the sight knocked the air out of you.
“That’s- what are you doing, here?” you asked, your voice came out sounding way weaker than you imagined it would. You sounded scared, because you were.
He clicked his tongue, tossing the gun onto your bed and it bounced one time before settling right next to a pillow.
Sebastian walked towards your frightened frame, and with each step he took forward, you took one backwards. This pattern continued until your back touched the cold surface of the wooden door.
“Don’t hide from me. I’ve seen it all up close before, haven’t I? Now, I have questions for you, babygirl,” he spoke in a low voice; one filled with power and dominance and you looked up at him with your frightened eyes.
What do you do when a hot mob boss, also an one night stand from a day and a half ago suddenly shows up at your dad’s house?
Sebastian placed a hand right next to your head and looked you dead in the eyes with his blue ones. And despite your fear, you couldn’t help but be hypnotized by them.
“Once I was done with… my work, I was coming to find you again. But I was told you took off. Why did you run?” he asked and worry washed over you.
How the fuck did he know that? Who told him?
Seeing that you weren’t replying, he brought his lips to your neck. And lazily brushed them over your sweet spot, causing you to shiver at his touch. Involuntarily, you turned your head to the side and provided him with better access to your skin. He chuckled at your action as your face burned with embarrassment.
He placed feathery kisses all over your skin, no biting no teasing the skin – just his lips on your neck. The soft touches dragged breathy moans out of your mouth.
“See, your body remembers me, baby,” he whispered at the shell of your ear.
By now, your hands had let go of the jacket; which fell at your feet and your hands wrapped around his shoulders.
You shouldn’t be doing that, you thought. You shouldn’t like his touch or lean in for more. You shouldn’t be under his spell. But oh how you wanted to.
“You lied, you- you said you worked with influential people. But you don’t, you…,” your voice trailed off as he traced your trembling lips with the tip of the shiny metallic barrel of the gun in his hands.
He did that while staring intently into your soul, while your words came to a halt as soon as the cold metal came in contact with your body.
He wouldn’t, would he? He wouldn’t kill you, right?
“I’m what? Say it,” he urged darkly. His words laced with authority and lust.
“You’re the mob boss everyone talks about. You’re the Sebastian Stan, you’re…,” you words stopped again as you felt his fingers wrapped around your throat.
He didn’t choke you to a point where it was uncomfortable. He just wanted you to know that you were at his mercy, to a point where even your breath was his.
He smirked when he saw a damp spot forming at the center of your underwear, turning the white material slightly transparent.
So, his girl was kinky, huh?
Your wrists immediately wrapped themselves around his arm, involuntarily urging him to keep his hand there, at your throat. And he liked that.
“I’m what, babe?” he whispered again, resting the tip of the barrel against your left cheek. Indirectly causing to select your words carefully, very carefully.
“You’re…dangerous,” you simply said and he chuckled out loud. Despite the possible humor, you sensed the menace in his voice.
“Oh babygirl, I’m more than just dangerous. But you know I won’t ever hurt you, I can’t. I always protect what’s mine, and you’re mine. You’re safe with me. Just, don’t run from me,” he spoke, hand still gripping your throat lightly and the barrel of his gun still pressed to your cheek.
It could be the rush of the moment, or it could be fear, or the reflexive lust coursing in your veins; but somehow you sensed the presence of validity in his words. Although very much aware that it could simply be your delusional mind’s thought, your fear morphed into something else.
A familiar want. A raw desire which only seemed to surface when you’re with him. His mysterious aura, the electricity in his touch, the pure sin which dripped from his words – they all caused a magnetic pull which drew you to him. And despite it all, you couldn’t ignore the fact that you wanted him.
Memories of the last time he had touched your body resurfaced in your head and it accelerated the flow of passion which pooled into your underwear.
“Why?” it seemed like you directed the question more towards yourself than to him.
“Why what?” he asked back, tilting his head to the side slightly.
“You barely know me. Why would you follow me all the way here?” you asked, oblivious to the exchange which happened between him and Chris.
He let out a sigh and smiled.
“If only you knew, babygirl, if only you knew,” he spoke and released your throat, putting the gun by his side as he pulled you forward with one hand.
He dragged you to your bed and pushed you on it; onto which you landed with a bounce in a sitting position.
While you sat, weirdly calm, on the edge of the bed; he stood in between your legs and looked down upon you.
You wouldn’t lie, he looked better from that angle… fuck!
“I told you to stay safe. Daddy told you he’d be back for you, then why did you have to run? Do you know how angry I was to learn that my babygirl was disobeying?” he held your jaw gently in his hands.
It seemed like he wanted to be harsh on you, but something stopped him. He didn’t want to scare you; well he barged into your room with a gun, but you could tell that that wasn’t his intention.
His babygirl…
You were all for women not having to be treated like objects belonging to men, but damn did that turn you on.
It seemed like you could no longer control your body; because at this point, it listened to him just like your mind was under his enchantment.
You wanted to say something, anything. But you couldn’t. So you let him to the talking.
“And now she won’t even apologize! You really need to be put in line baby. Tell me, do you trust me?” he asked, bending down so he was on eye level with you. His thumb caressed your face gently as he spoke.
His stormy blue ones staring into your shining e/c ones. His eyes reminded you of a thunder storm over a rough deep blue sea; tempting but vulnerable.
Unable to speak, you simply nodded as anticipation occupied your mind. The mixture of recklessness, fear, lust and mystery made your heart race as you felt the heavy sexual tension in the air wrapped around the both of you.
“That’s my good girl, now lay down, hands over your head and close your eyes. Don’t open then or move until I tell you to, got it?” he instructed and waited for your reply, all while searching your eyes.
You nodded again and he smiled as he watched you follow the instructions he gave you. You almost immediately positioned yourself flat in the bed, closed your eyes and put your wrists above your head and kept them there.
Your other senses heightened instinctively and you could hear him walk around the room; opening drawers and closing them with a slam. Each sound made you jump a little but you didn’t dare to open your eyes just the slightest.
“You know, I’ve waited for a girl like you all my life. Won’t lie to you, doll, I’ve had a generous share of women in my bed. But none of them ever made me chase them like you do. When I first saw you, across the pub, for just a second a glimpse of our future flashed in front of my eyes. I saw myself coming home to you after a long day, I saw you with a beautiful bump, and my baby safe inside your womb. I saw us, doll. And from that moment I knew that you’d be mine, whatever it took,” he spoke, narrating his thoughts while he walked around the room, checking the drawers and closets.
He walked slowly, like as if he had all the time in the world and more, as he told you about his reveries. Part of it made you anxious and part of it didn’t.
A future with him seemed-
Your thoughts halted abruptly as you felt his hands on your body.
Sebastian ran his fingers along your thighs and left feathery kisses along your inner thighs. His mouth seemed so close to your heat yet so far.
Soon, he hooked his fingers to the seam of your underwear and dragged it down your legs until he got rid of it. Once done with that, you felt him straddle your lower body, trapping your legs in between his thighs and locking them in place.
“Your beauty amazes me baby,” he whispered as you felt him reach around your torso to unhook your bra and lift the material off your body.
Right after he did that, his lips found yours and caught them in a deep kiss. His skilled tongue found its way into your mouth as he occasionally sucked and bit on your lower lip.
His hand held your face while he assaulted your lips and bit around your mouth to mark his territory. You didn’t complain, not even once. Instead, you moaned into his mouth over and over again.
Your body squirmed, your back lifted off the bed just the slightest bit before he pushed you back into the mattress, breaking the kiss.
“Sebastian, please,” you moaned. Wrong move. And you learnt so by feeling a smack on your thigh.
You let out a whimper, but the burn felt good. And you wanted more but you wouldn’t tell the gorgeous man just yet.
“Somebody just can’t help but misbehave, right?” he spoke and right after he finished, you heard something click. Like a pen would.
After which, you heard nothing else. And Sebastian was silent as well.
Why would he do with a pen? You thought.
Moments later, a sweet, aromatic air filled the room. You took a deep breath through your nose to analyze the scent better and came to the conclusion that it was probably one of the Vanilla and white chocolate scented candles your dad’s wife wouldn’t stop talking about.
But why would Sebastian u-
Your rational thoughts came to a stop yet again as you felt a drop of a hot liquid fall right above your belly button. Instinctively, your back arched off the bed and you let an uncontrolled moan escaped your lips.
It burned, but it felt good. Again.
As another drop of melted wax hit your skin, you simultaneously felt the faint brush of cold fingers against your glistening folds.
“You’re always so ready for me, aren’t you? Such a good girl,” Sebastian commented and moved his hands faster against your needy core as the candle kept dripping on your skin.
He must have moved the candle upwards, because you felt the wax drip down the valley of your breasts and you couldn’t help but moan out loud.
“Daddy…please,” you moaned, your eyes shut, hands behind your head, legs trapped beneath his robust body and his hands all over you. You were the epitome of helpless. And he liked the sight of that.
He slowly traced your dripping entrance with his finger and chuckled.
“Please what, baby?” he asked as if unaware of the sweet misery he was inflicting upon you.
“I- I need you to touch me, daddy please,” you pleaded, with your eyes shut as you tried to pick up the sounds of his next movements but none came.
His fingers found their way in between your folds and into your tight entrance. And each time he pumped his two fingers into your wet heat, the filthy sounds it made caused your heat to drip even more.
“Daddy, please make me cum,” you whined again, turning you head to the side so your arm would muffle the sound of the moan which escaped your mouth.
He clicked his tongue.
“Not yet, babygirl. Daddy’s not done with you yet,” he spoke.
He rocked his fingers in and out of you at a pace so slow that it was almost painful. He was not gonna let you cum just like that; he wanted you to literally beg him for it.
He kept the candle above you, moving it inch by inch all over your torso and abdomen. It seemed like he was making a specific pattern but in the moment, you couldn’t figure out what it was.
Hot, melted wax dripped down your body; mimicking the drips of your desire as it flowed out of your and coated his fingers.
He adjusted his body as he straddled you and soon, you could feel a growing bulge against your thigh.
You lost all control of your senses when he allowed the melted wax to drop on top of your hip bone. A slow and passionate moan escaped your lips.
Hot, fiery; similar to your need to have him inside you.
“You are so beautiful, my princess. Daddy will always, always take care of you,” he spoke softly; a complete contrast to what he was doing to your body.
A few more specific drops of melted wax later, he seemed to have doused the candle and set it aside as he lifted off your body; for a brief moment.
You whined because of the loss of contact, and mainly because he got you so worked up only to not let you cum yet.
You heard the shuffling of his suit and a few seconds later, he brought his attention back to you.
His hands roamed your body, caressing your breasts, rubbing his hands up and down your arms while his lips attached to yours once again.
His kiss was slow and steady this time; he was in no rush. You felt each stroke of his tongue, each brush of his lips and each tug by his teeth. It was pure bliss.
He broke the kiss and dragged his lips down your body, until he reached your core.
He groaned as he allowed his lips to faintly brush against your wet folds.
“All wet and waiting for me, you’re very needy, aren’t you? Open your eyes, baby,” he spoke against your wet core, his warm breath hitting the damp surface and driving crazy with need.
You opened your eyes and noticed that he had dimmed the lights of the room, the air still smelled like vanilla and chocolate and as you looked down your body, you saw the now hard wax drops scattered all over your body; from your breasts to your hip bones. A sinful masterpiece created by the blue eyed man in front of you.
Sebastian had taken off his suit and shirt, leaving him in his black pants; which were now unzipped.
“Come here,” he said softly and you dragged your body until you sat on the edge of the bed once again. You knew what was coming, but you wanted to hear it from him.
“You’re gonna take daddy’s cock into your pretty mouth, yeah? You’re gonna let daddy use your mouth, aren’t you, doll?” he asked and you nodded in response embarrassingly fast, as you looked up at him with your glossy e/c eyes.
Once he placed his hand on your face, holding it gently – you got to work immediately.
You got on your knees in front of him and pulled down his pants while palmed his bulge through his briefs and he let out a groan and gripped your face tighter in his hand.
“Don’t tease me, babygirl, it’s not gonna end well for you,” he informed you as his hand moved to your hair, making a makeshift ponytail to hold on to.
You pulled down his briefs and his member excitedly stood in front of your face. You wasted no time in taking him into your mouth. Your tongue traced his slit a couple of times and you noticed that whenever you did, he’d buck his hips forward and let out a breathy moan.
You had never been with someone as big as him, so taking him completely into your mouth was slightly difficult. You took him into your wet cave inch by inch and as you did, his breathing got quicker.
You felt his length twitch inside your mouth and you felt the prominent vein press against your tongue as you bobbed your head up and down his member.
His tip reached the furthest part of your mouth and you realized that you managed to take all of him, and damn he was big.
“Fuck! Baby, your mouth feels so- so good,” he moaned as he tugged on your hair. Hearing him moan was the hottest thing you had ever heard. Of course, you had given blowjobs to past lovers, but this was different.
This wasn’t just a regular guy. This was THE mob boss; most notorious one the country had ever known. You knew people who were truly terrified of his power. He was a well-known, cold hearted criminal. His reputation, his pride and his dominance; they all preceded him.
Yet, here he was; a moaning mess with your mouth wrapped around him.
As he moaned, your core throbbed even more and you wanted nothing more than to just press your two fingers against your clit and alleviate your pain but you knew better.
He moaned your name a few times, and which each time; you worshipped his length more and more, hollowing you cheeks to suck him off better.
Within the next few moments, he held your hair tighter and bucked his hips against your mouth a little faster; fucking your mouth and also signaling that his orgasm was close. His cock twitched in your mouth again as you felt the salty precum trickle down your throat slowly.
Once his length throbbed again, you gave him one last suction and felt his load shoot into your mouth. The taste of him, along with your heat throbbing with need was a deadly combination.
You watched him as the feeling of pure bliss washed over him, his eyes rolled back and his head fell back as he came, hard.
Slowly, you lifted your mouth off him; giving his slit one last lick.
He groaned as his orgasm washed over him and pulled harder on your hair, looking down at you. You were on your knees, hands on your lap and a smirk on your lips. Lips which were wrapped around him just a few seconds.
God…you were a sight. And you were all his.
He pulled you up and threw you back on the bed.
“On all fours, baby. Now,” he instructed and you happily obeyed; your heat was clenching with need and nothing else mattered in that moment.
You got on all fours and waited for him. He stroked his length a couple of times as he watched you on the bed. So innocent, yet so sinful.
You waited for him to slide his length into you but instead came his hand, smacking you right on your ass.
“Ouch!” you yelled at the unexpected pain.
He smacked your left butt cheeks again and you yelled out again. It hurt, but it lowkey turned you on even more, although, your core was now throbbing even more than before. And Sebastian knew.
He gave you two more spanks and immediately massaged the skin. He smiled as he saw the stretch marks on your skin; it reminded him of how much more he would add when you’d be expecting his baby one day. The thought of you being thoroughly his was enchanting.
“Does it hurt, baby? Well now you know how much it hurt me when I found out you were running away from me,” he spoke as he spanked you one more time, followed by a bite on your ass.
You moaned out loud again.
“Daddy please,” you whined as another smack landed on your ass. It would probably leave a mark, you though. Maybe even a hand print.
“Beg,” he simply said and you groaned. He already had you completely at his mercy, what more did he want? Jesus!
“Seb, please! I’m sorry, just- just fuck me, daddy please. It hurts,” you moaned, accidentally calling him by a new nickname.
Seb… no one ever called him that. No one but-
He stopped himself before even thinking about that name.
Normally, he’d have the head of anyone who called him by that name. But since it came from you, he liked it. He liked it a lot.
He liked it so much that he decided that he had teased you enough for today.
“Come here, babe,” he whispered and pulled you up and rolled you over so you laid down flat on the bed with his body settled in between your legs.
When your sore ass made contact with the cotton sheets, it burned even more. But you didn’t care, you wanted him, and that’s all that mattered.
When you looked up at his body hovering above you, a tear escaped you eye. You didn’t know if it was because of the built up sexual frustration, the lust in your veins, or just the fact that your emotions were creating a ruckus inside your head.
Sebastian ran his thumb over your cheek and caught the tear before it fell further down your cheek. He hated it, he hated the sight of his girl crying.
But he knew he could make it better.
He captured your lips into a deep kiss and allowed your hands to wrap around his broad shoulders. You pulled him closer, until his chest pressed against your erected nipples and he moaned into the kiss. Nothing felt better than having you under him, under his control.
His tongue slipped through your lips and it stroked the top of your mouth.
You moaned into the kiss and he gently bit your mouth.
His lips travelled to your sweet spot and he assaulted the sensitive skin mercilessly; compelling you into becoming a whimpering hot mess under his touch.
While he left even more marks across your neck, he aligned his tip to your heat and gave it a slight push to slide it through your glistening heat.
Once your walls took him in little by little, the familiar bubble formed inside the two of you.
“Fuck, you’re so warm babygirl,” he moaned into your ear and your back arched off the bed once more as he filled you up entirely.
He kept still, not moving and you felt his cock throbbing inside of you. Your walls wrapped around him perfectly and as you moaned, he understood that you were well adjusted to his size now and took it as a cue to start moving in and out of you slowly.
He started out slow, and then gradually set the speed so both your body moved rhythmically against one another; giving each other a better angle at which you could feel all of him.
And you did.
He filled you up nicely and within seconds, you were a moaning mess.
“Seb! Fuck I- oh fuck, daddy please,” you whined against his cheeks, signaling that you couldn’t hold it much longer given your previous activities.
You felt his ragged breath right at you ear and he chuckled, rocking against you at a much faster speed now.
“I know, baby. I know,” he spoke and ended with a groan and he wrapped his arms around your torso and lifted your back off the bed a little bit.
You moaned as he hit your g-spot with each thrust in this position. A series of cuss words left both your mouths as you basked into each other’s presence.
You opened your eyes to look at him and his eyes were closed as he frowned in pleasure. You moaned out loud when one of his hand slipped in between both of you and rubbed your little bundle of nerves furiously.
“Cum for me, doll. Cum for daddy like the good girl you are,” he urged you and you happily obeyed once again.
You both knew you wouldn’t last long so as soon as he finished speaking, you let go. Yelling out his name and a few cuss words in the process; you came around him.
Your walls milked in relentlessly and soon, he came as well. His load shooting your warm walls and you could feel him leaking out of you as he slowly pulled out.
You were both breathing hard and fast, hearts racing and he rolled off you and settled by your side. A layer of sweat coated both your bodies; your ass cheeks were stinging due to the friction and the wax was still on your skin. And Sebastian just laid next to you, silently with his eyes closed and his lips parted slightly.
As you looked at him, a strange feeling took over. And the butterflies came back.
You inched closer to him and sheepishly rested your head on top of his chest. You placed your ear right on top of his racing heart and listened intently at the heartbeats.
Once he felt your head on top of his chest, he smiled and instinctively wrapped his arms around you. He discretely placed a kiss on top of your head and relished the feeling of having his girl in his arms.
“Not so dangerous now, am I?” he teased and you smiled, blushing.
I am naked in bed with a mob boss in my dad’s house, expect the unexpected indeed.
“I didn’t run from you,” you said out of nowhere and his silence signaled that he was listening.
His hand rubbed your shoulder and urged you to keep going.
“I ran from what I was feeling. I- it’s not you. It’s just, I don’t know, people talk you know. And even in the little town where I’m from, they talk about what you do. I’ve heard the stories about you when I was in college, a friend of mine cancelled her trip to Amsterdam only because she found out that you were currently there. People are scared of you, and I thought I should be too. So, I took off,” you explained and he listened without interrupting.
“I won’t hurt you,” came his reply to what you just said.
You didn’t know what to say, or feel. So, you kept quiet.
After a while of just cuddling and listening to each other’s heartbeat, you decided to take a shower together. After which, you cleaned the room and got in bed for the night.
“You’re mine,” Sebastian whispered into your ear.
You smiled despite the mixed feelings about this whole situation. Right after he spoke, his phone rang. He picked it up from the floor and groaned when he saw the caller ID.
“I’ll be right back, doll, gotta talk to these a-holes or else they’ll turn my world upside down with their stupidity,” he explained and walked out the room, leaving you in bed.
As soon as he walked out, your phone rang.
Weird, you thought, who would call you at almost midnight?
You stared at your phone screen and it said that it was an unknown number. If it were a few days ago, you would have ignored the call, but now that you’ve slept with the mob boss himself – nothing scared you and nothing seemed dangerous anymore.
You decided to take the call.
“Hello?” you spoke and immediately froze.
“Hello? Honey, its dad! Listen, peanut, this may sound terrifying but trust me, please. Okay, honey, I need to get out of the house. Right now. It’s not safe. Get your things and get out, now. There’s a black Range waiting in the driveway, it’s unlocked and inside there’s an address. I need you to get to that address. Please, honey, get there and I’ll explain everything. Okay? I love you more than anything, my darling. Please be safe, I’m waiting for you,” and with that, he ended the call.
Your heart raced at his words. What could this mean? Did your dad find out about Sebastian? How?
What the fuck is happening? You thought.
You could hear Sebastian barking orders at someone in French yet again, and from the sound of it, it seemed like he was in the kitchen downstairs.
So, if you were to grab your unpacked bags and make a run for it through the bedroom window, he wouldn’t hear a thing.
Between Sebastian and your dad, you trusted your dad better. But why did it feel wrong to run away from him again?
Okay, fuck this shit. If dad said something’s wrong, then something’s wrong!
So you scribbled a note to Sebastian, slipped your shoes on, grabbed your bag and stepped out the window. The jump wasn’t that high, you would make it.
So you made the jump. Along which, you made a grave mistake.
The mob boss just wanted your attention and your love. He wanted you to know that you were his. He wanted to give you the world. But now, he’d have to hunt you down and make sure you never run again. Because like he said before; he will always want you back.
