shape of you
Summary: (based on the song shape of you by ed sheeran) you broke the rule because timothée’s charm was just too irresistible

The chandelier above the golden ballroom dance floor sparkles as the light split between the crystals adorning the chandelier. There were many people, whose names you couldn’t bother to remember, waltzed across the dance floor elegantly, not missing a step. You admired their dedication to remembering the dance moves and you could barely even remember the basic dance moves you learned. You delicately raised the champagne flute to your lips, the neck delicately placed between your thumb and index finger. The jewelry around your neck felt heavy and your feet felt uncomfortable in your heels.
You felt a tap on your shoulder and turned around to see a beautiful boy with the most perfect curls smiling at you. He wore a simple black suit and his face was half-concealed by the masks everybody was required to wear. He gave a little half-now before he held out his hand and asked, “May I have this dance?”
“Of course,” You grinned back and he led you to the group of coordinated dancers. As you two waltzed around, you silently reminded yourself of the steps in your head, making sure you didn’t trip over your heels as you followed the choreography you were barely familiar with. After a couple minutes of dancing, the waltzing stopped and guests dispersed, going their separate ways. The boy pressed a gentle kiss to your hand and as you opened your mouth to ask him who he was, he quickly darted off. You stood alone in the ballroom for a second, looking longingly after the boy who disappeared.
“And cut! Good job guys,” The director called and you broke character, taking the heavy but fake jewelry off. Timothée, the boy who the girl in the movie had just met, walked over to you and smiled as you took off your heels.
“Beauty is pain, huh?” Timothée asked as you handed the accessories to an intern on set, who hurriedly ran off with them to place them into storage.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” You replied, earning a chuckle from him. You and Timothée were working together on a new movie that was based off a book about a prince and a princess who were from opposing kingdoms but fell in love. At first glance, it seemed very cliché but there was a plot twist that nobody could anticipate at the end.
As you two approached your trailer, Timothée cleared his throat and wrung his hands together nervously. He looked you in the eyes and you both paused outside your trailer, “Hey, uh, so I was wondering if you wanted to go to a bar or something after we change?”
You blinked in surprise and a warning sign flashed in your head. You didn’t have many rules but the one big rule you had was that you didn’t date people you worked with. It just would cause too much drama and over complicate situations with the public. But right now, your brain was short-circuiting and you instinctively answered, “I would love to.”
“Cool! See you then,” Timothée grinned as he walked away, his hands in his suit pockets. You walked back into your trailer, wondering whatever could’ve made you reply with such clarity. You knew that you shouldn’t have agreed but part of you wanted to give Timothée a chance. Besides, Timothée was a pretty nice guy and it wouldn’t hurt to just spend some time with him.
As your make-up artists helped you wipe off your make-up and took out all the pins in your hair. You couldn’t help but smile as you told your make-up artists to leave some make-up on for your date with Timothée. You obviously didn’t mention that you were going on a date with Timothée but you were certain that they suspected you were going out with somebody. You changed out of the ornate dress and slipped into some jeans and a casual tank top.
Timothée sent you a text of the location of the bar. You took a cab to the bar and chose to dress casually so you wouldn’t attract attention. The last thing you needed was paparazzi ruining the night, the situation you feared the most and the main reason why you had the rule of not dating your co-workers.
When you got the bar, Timothée was already waiting for you and you two got to talk over a couple drinks. He was a gentleman and insisted on paying for the rounds, even though you tried to pay. Admittedly, you were a little tipsy by the time you reached the dance floor but you enjoyed yourself, dancing to the ridiculously loud, overplayed pop music with Timothée by your side. You sang loudly and grinned at Timothée’s dance moves.
Dancing on the bar’s dance floor was definitely a different experience than waltzing gracefully on a fake ballroom floor but you still enjoyed it nevertheless. As you and Timothée left the bar in the very early morning, you decided to kiss him, feeling brave. To your surprise, he kissed you back and you two broke into peals of laughter, stumbling into a cab together. There was no surprise when you found out that somebody took pictures of you and Timothée with your hands intertwined and you finally accepted that if people were going to look, they could stare all they wanted because there was something sweet and youthful in your relationship with Timmy that nothing would ever compete, except for the innocence of the night.

dive
Summary: (based on the song dive by ed sheeran) you didn’t know whether rosa loved you back and the anticipation was frustrating
Wc: 1001
Tumblr media
When you first joined the team, you were very unfamiliar with everybody at the precinct. The only person you knew was Amy since you went to high school with her. Your first day at the office was the most nerve-wracking as everybody saw you as the “new kid”. Jake was pretty welcoming and introduced you to the rest of the team with a loud voice.
Everybody else gradually seemed to warm up to you except for Holt and Rosa. Those two were probably the coldest people in the office, according to Terry, but they both meant well. When you first met Rosa, you were surprised at how dead inside her expression was. She looked like her entire body didn’t contain any emotion at all but somehow managed an empty smile to welcome you.
As you got yourself situated, you began to work on cases and you were mostly assigned as a second on Amy’s cases but then you began to feel bad as you could see Jake really wanted to work on a case with Amy so you decided to volunteer as a second for the other available case, which happened to be Rosa’s. Rosa kept her sentences short and brief and you had a feeling she hated you by the way she treated you but when you were talking with Gina during her break, Gina excitedly told you that Rosa was definitely interested in you. This prompted you to look at her questioningly, and you chuckled as you asked, “Are you sure?”
“Yes! She doesn’t even say please to anybody, not even Holt and yesterday she said ‘Y/n, can you take a look at this evidence?’,” Gina imitated Rosa’s expression and deep voice and you giggled at her act. “She is so into you! You should ask her out!”
“I’m still too new! She doesn’t know me that well,” You sighed, fiddling with the zipper on your jacket. You weren’t super outgoing so asking Rosa out after only knowing her for a month was out of your comfort zone.
“Are you kidding me? Rosa doesn’t care. She got married to, like, a serial killer in a week or something! That girl is crazy,” Gina exaggeratedly exclaimed before tilting her head down to laugh at something on her phone. She swiped through some photos and held up a meme to show you before letting you speak.
“Well, in that case, I’ll see what I can do,” You thought aloud, more for your benefit than Gina’s as Gina was now engaged in whatever she was looking at in her phone. You knew that Gina always gave good advice but you didn’t know if you had the guts to follow through. Eventually, after a month you decided to try to ask Rosa about her feelings. You had been assigned to work on more than 5 cases with her at this point and you felt like you had known her enough to ask her such an important question.
You were looking over evidence with Rosa when you decided to ask. Your hands were sweaty and your mouth felt dry as you prepared to ask the question. Finally, the words crawled up your throat and you asked, “Hey Rosa, I was wondering if you want to get dinner together after work? You know, to get to know each other a little better.”
“I have… things to do,” Rosa answered too quickly, her eyes darting away from your eyes. She looked down at the evidence and roughly cleared her throat. “Hey, look at this thing.”
That was the end of that discussion. You were crushed that she had turned you down so easily and sought comfort and advice from Gina. Gina told you that Rosa just loved playing hard to get and that she tried too hard to deny her feelings out of fear. You decided to wait a couple more weeks before asking again. And again, she turned you down. You tried multiple times but every time, Rosa would always change the subject and try to avoid talking about it.
Finally, you were so fed up with Rosa constantly avoiding answering and when you two were going over a case, you decided to ask, “Why is it that whenever I ask you about your feelings you always change the subject?”
“What?” Rosa clearly knew what you were talking about but she feigned innocence, her lips falling open in false shock. She was more caught off guard than confused.
“You know, I ask you on dates and ask you if you like me romantically so often and every time, you switch the subject. Can you just be blunt? I don’t really care if you don’t feel the same way, I just can’t stand to have you lead me on and having this lead to nothing,” You frustratedly groaned, finally snapping out of pressure. Rosa frowned and she took a deep breath, playing with the cuffs of her leather jacket.
“I just… I’m not used to sharing my feelings. I really like you a lot. I’m sorry I’ve been weird about it,” Rosa looked as if saying each word had brought great pain upon her but after she talked, she finally let out a breath of relief. You were relieved that she finally confessed her feelings and broke into a small grin.
“It’s okay. I’m just glad you finally cleared things up,” Rosa looked up, surprised that you weren’t storming out of the room out of anger.
“I’m sorry. Can you forgive me?” Rosa had never been so polite to anybody but you meant so much to her that she just couldn’t afford to lose you.
“Of course, if you don’t mind going on a date with me,” You smiled and Rosa broke into a grin. You were caught off guard by Rosa’s brilliant smile, the first smile she had ever given you since you first stepped into the office. And there were going to be a lot more of her smiles in your future.

halloween vi
Summary: Can you do a Rosa x reader please!! I need more Rosa Diaz One where it’s Halloween heist time and Rosa and y/n are on two separate teams and throughout the heist they keep teasing each other and sneaking off to go make out. Thanksss. Love your writing
Wc: 1409
a/n: i wrote this before halloween vi happened so just view this as an alternative halloween vi!
Tumblr media
Halloweens at work were always chaotic and this year’s Halloween was surprisingly calm. You were working at your desk, filing a completed case into the digital police system when a paper airplane hit you on the back of your head. You turned around, watching Jake fold another paper airplane and fly it to Rosa, hitting her on the shoulder. Rosa instantly stood up, grabbing a knife out of her belt and whipping around to see what had just tapped her on the shoulder. Once she saw the paper airplane, she put back her knife and picked it up. You opened the paper airplane you received as well and on the paper, Jake had scrawled “Meet in the bullpen now!!”
Rolling your eyes at his dramatic theatrics, you headed over to the bullpen. Rosa walked up next to you, offering you a sweet smile before returning to her usual frown as Jake walked up to the group gathered in the center of the bullpen. He dramatically cleared his throat and announced, “You are all probably wondering why I gathered you all. You didn’t think I would forget about the Halloween heist, did you?”
Amy excitedly pumped her fist and Captain Holt scoffed at Jake’s enthusiasm. Jake continued to explain, “Since last year it was a tie-”
“Technically, I won,” Amy interjected, receiving pissed looks from people who wanted to hear what Jake had to say.
“Well, it was technically a tie because even though you won the belt, I won your hand in marriage,” Jake triumphantly proclaimed, causing Charles to place his hands over his heart affectionately and Rosa’s frown to deepen. Jake took out a list from his jacket and explained as he uncrumpled it, “Amy and I have written down who we want on our team already and we have a special guest joining us today.”
As Jake finished his last word, the elevator dinged and the doors slid open to reveal Gina Linetti, wearing an extravagant golden crown, who was posing dramatically and walked into the bullpen with a confident strut. She took off her silver sunglasses and chewed her gum obnoxiously loud, “Hello people! It’s been a while but your favorite girl is back in town and ready for another Halloween heist!”
“Gina! It’s so good to see you back!” Amy started towards Gina with the intention of hugging but Gina stuck out a hand, turning her face away.
“Please stay outside of the five feet radius personal bubble I created for myself. The Met Gala is next week and my hairdresser does not want to battle with my hair before then,” Gina put her sunglasses on and Amy returned to where she was standing, failing to conceal her disappointment of being rejected.
“Anyway, as I was saying, Amy and I have already chosen our teams. So, on my team, I have me, Rosa, Gina, and Charles,” As Jake listed the people on his team, his teammates all gathered around him. Charles crossed his arms, trying to look tough, Gina flipped her hair and posed again, and Rosa just looked more dead inside than ever.
“On my team, I have myself, Terry, Captain Holt, and Y/N! Okay, each team has five minutes to discuss a plan and then the heist starts. Jake, would you like to do the honors of explaining what this year’s heist is about?” Amy glanced at Jake, beaming with excitement. You could practically see the gears whirring in Amy’s brain as she was obviously devising a plan as Jake spoke.
“Yep! So, this year, the goal is to get this crown!” Gina handed Jake the crown and he picked up an empty plastic box from the table next to him. Then, he places the crown in the box and clasped a lock over the front of the box, placing it back on the wooden table. “This box will be on this table in the middle of the bullpen and whoever has the crown at the end of the night wins! Each team has five minutes to discuss a plan before the heist officially begins, starting… now!”
Amy called the group into a group huddle and rapidly began to inform everybody of the plan she called “The hallo-win plan”. She would take care of distracting Charles, Terry had to go after Gina, and Captain Holt was going to handle Jake. You had to guard the box and keep an eye on it to make sure that nobody from the opposition took it. Of course, Jake wasn’t going to be so aggressive and go for it in the first few hours so your job was made easy.
After each group met, the teams met in the center of the bullpen and Jake commenced the heist by announcing, “Now that we have our plans, the heist begins in three... two… one!”
Everybody ran off in separate directions while you and Rosa stayed. You walked up to her, a mischievous smile on your face, “So, you’re here to guard the prize too.”
“Yep. You know, I don’t think anybody is coming to get the prize anytime soon,” Rosa replied just as you heard Terry and Gina yell at each other in the distance. You nodded in agreement and when your eyes met Rosa’s you both silently communicated through a shared troublemaker look.
You followed her to the balcony, smiling as you closed the door behind you. She gestured to the small table and chairs she set up and asked, “Shall we?”
“Gosh, you’re too sweet,” You kissed her on the lips and she dipped you into a bridal-style kiss. You two ended up making out and not even using the table that Rosa set up. You lost track of time because all you could keep track of was this amazing feeling you were getting from all these kisses you shared with Rosa. Even though Rosa pretended to be a badass, tough fighter, she secretly had a soft heart. In the midst of making out with her, your walkie talkie crackled to life as Amy shouted, “Where are you, Y/n? The crown was stolen!”
You pulled away from Rosa, both of you staring at each other in shock. It turns out somebody was really bold enough to go for the crown. You picked up the walkie talkie and spoke into it quickly, “Sorry, I’ve been tracking Rosa. I’ll be right there.”
You motioned for Rosa to head in first so it wouldn’t look suspicious and followed her, hurrying to the center of the bullpen to find that the box had been broken into. Everybody was already gathered around that the box had been broken into. Everybody was already gathered around the empty table and eyeing you and Rosa suspiciously. Terry crossed his arms, frowning as he asked, “Where were you two?”
“Oh, I thought Rosa had the crown and ended up chasing her. Turns out, she was just tricking me. I guess I was too distracted to notice somebody already stole it,” You lied, trying not to seem flustered. Glancing around at everybody in the circle, you tried to read their expressions to see if anybody was having anything. Your eyes shifted to Gina, who was fidgeting with her pocket, and pointed to her, exclaiming, “Gina has it!”
Immediately, Amy darted towards Gina, grabbing her by her fancy coat, aggressively shouting, “Where is it?”
“What makes you think I’m going to tell you?” Gina frowned at Amy, clearly unimpressed by her anger. Amy took out a can of pepper spray, uncapped it, and held it next to Gina’s hair. Gina tried to back away but Amy’s grip on her arm never faltered. “If you don’t tell me where the crown is, I will spray this on your hair.”
Gina yelped in alarm and put her hands on her hair in an attempt to try to protect it. She gave in, admitting, “Fine! I hid it in the storage room!”
Upon hearing this, everybody ran to the storage room to try to get to the crown first. Gina followed after taking a moment to get her emotions in check. Rosa turned towards you with a smirk on her face and suggested, “Let’s go to Shaw’s. I’m kinda over the heist. Besides, I want to spend more time with you.”
“Why not?” You smiled and you and Rosa walked away, hand in hand. Luckily for you, the only thing Rosa stole during this heist was your heart.

You hadn’t been to Shaw’s Bar in ages and it seemed like only Gina and Jake came here often. This bar, according to Gina, was the 99th precinct territory and held many memories dear to the team. You had trouble staying in touch with your old high school friends but Jake and Gina had played such an important role in your adolescence that you simply couldn’t forget them. Also, they happened to also be in New York so it was rather convenient for you to meet up with them.
Tonight, Gina invited you to get a drink at Shaw’s and you were suspicious as to why she called the meeting. Knowing Gina, she always had some sort of ulterior motive behind her plans. Surprisingly, she was only five minutes late to the bar, which was twenty-five minutes earlier than she had been last time.
“Gina! It’s been so long! How’s everything? How’s Jake?” You greeted Gina with a warm hug, feeling familiarity wash over your mind. It was almost as if you both were meeting at high school again instead of hugging as adults with jobs. Time did really pass as quickly as adults claimed it did.
“I’m good. I have a daughter now, Jake is engaged with Amy, and Lady Gaga had a killer performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show, you know, the usual. Anyways, enough about me, what’s up with you, girl? Still single? What’s your new job again?” Gina nonchalantly asked, leaning against bar casually, scanning over the new drink menu skeptically. You couldn’t help but grin at the usual flair Gina brought with her when she dropped the news. As shocked as you were, you weren’t surprised at how calm she seemed (possibly because she now believed she understood her future after hiring a fortune teller).
“Congratulations! For both the baby and the Jake and Amy news. My new job is at the bank on the corner of 8th street and yes, I’m still single. Why do you want to know if I’m still single?” You eyed her suspiciously, waiting for her to reveal her ulterior motive for inviting you to the bar.
“Perfect! Not about the bank part. Nobody wants to date a banker; it’s like dating a human ATM. No wonder you’re single. But don’t worry, you won’t be for long. Let me introduce you to your future girlfriend. Give me a second, I need to pull up the powerpoint,” Gina swiped through her phone for a couple seconds before pulling up a powerpoint and presenting it in present mode, propping her phone horizontally against the napkin holder. “Allow me to introduce you to Rosa Diaz. She’s one of the best detectives in the precinct. Rosa’s, like, really badass but she’s perfect for a nerd type like you.”
You feigned an insulted look when she said “nerd type” and Gina rolled her eyes, swiping through the powerpoint to a slide with Rosa’s face on it. Gina was right; Rosa seemed really intimidating with her leather jacket, dark lipstick, and intense glare. Gina continued on with her presentation, “You see, Rosa just broke up with her fiance and it sucks to see her alone because now all she does is break stuff instead of making out her old part-time stoner, part-time serial killer boyfriend.”
“Serial killer? Gina, you’re really making me question your judgment,” You shook your head teasingly as you took a sip out of your drink.
“Y/n, honey, you gotta trust me on this. Remember that time everybody thought Michael would be the MVP of the high school football team and Justin ended up as the MVP? Who was the only one who saw that coming? Let me give you a clue: starts with a Gina, ends with a Linetti,” Gina tilted her head, giving you her classic judgemental, hawk-like look.
“Sorry, I forgot. Gina knows best,” You smiled as she nodded approvingly, gesturing for you to continue. “But I don’t know if I can fully trust you when it comes to relationships. Remember that girl you set me up with last time? The date went horribly.” “In my defense, I didn’t know Cindy studied philosophy. I thought she studied psychology and psychology majors are usually good dates because they know how to trick you into falling in love,” Gina turned her palms upwards, shrugging her shoulder as if to additionally convey ‘how was I supposed to know?’.
“If you only came here to try to convince me to get with Rosa, I’d better leave. My love life isn’t exactly my priority,” You winced internally at the bluntness of your comment, but you didn’t enjoy when people pried at your love life.
“Sorry about pushing you, girl. I’m just worried about you. If you don’t date somebody soon, you’re gonna die alone in a sad, lonely apartment. Anyways, if you don’t want me to talk about your love life, I’ll stop,” Gina sighed in defeat, turning off her phone. You asked Gina about her daughter and you two talked for a while, enjoying yourselves over a couple drinks. While you hadn’t mentioned it to Gina at the time out of fear that she would bring Rosa up again, you couldn’t help but think about how you’ve always wanted a badass, secretly soft girlfriend and Gina had found you the perfect match.
~
As much as you wanted to prove Gina’s ideas about being a banker wrong, some days at the bank were really unbearable. There were days where work seemed scarce and today was one of those days. You didn’t really have a high-ranking job at the bank and even though you were one of the most hardworking people in the bank, older bankers still doubted your efficiency and reliability, therefore offering you less work than you wanted.
You were reviewing a couple transfer approvals when a guy in plaid caught your attention. Everybody who entered the bank tried to make themselves seem as formal and business-like as possible, even if they were in a casual outfit, but this guy didn’t seem to care about his impression at all. He was languidly standing aside from the small line of people waiting to deposit cash and staring at a poster about managing mortgages.
The chill that ran down your spine led you to walk out from behind the tellers’ counter and into the main lobby, trying to act as if you had a purpose for leaving the counter. Although the person didn’t glance your way, you kept up the act in case he decided to turn around. As you set the transfer approval documents on Celeste’s desk, checking your watch absentmindedly as if you were waiting for her to arrive. You knew that she was out of office on her extended lunch break, which included an extra hour for her to shop online at Starbucks, and thought your status as a ‘newbie’ would make it easy to feign surprise at Celeste’s routine.
“NYPD! Hands up in the air!” You heard a voice shout as the doors swung open, a squad of heavily armored and armed police barging into the bank. The guy in plaid looked like a bird had just swooped down and flew off with his hat and he turned around, searching frantically for an exit. His eyes landed on the door right next to Celeste’s desk and made a beeline for it. He underestimated the role you played as a civilian as you instinctively picked up Celeste’s chair and smacked him in the torso with it.
The guy collapsed onto the floor as police surrounded him, turning him on his back to capture his wrists in handcuffs. A tall policewoman with a leather jacket and dark lipstick walked over to you, “Hey, that was a pretty cool move. Have I met you before? You seem familiar.”
“You’re Rosa Diaz! Gina told me about you,” You smiled affectionately when Rosa’s indifferent expression molded into one of exasperation at the mention of Gina.
“Of course she would. It was nice meeting you. I should probably go. See you around,” Rosa started to walk away but you quickly grabbed onto her wrist. Her head snapped back towards you and she seemed to tense up immediately. You took that as a sign of discomfort and let go, backing off a bit.
“Sorry about that. I was just wondering if you wanted to maybe grab a drink with me tomorrow night at Shaw’s?” You asked, feeling a bit awkward about asking a girl out for the first time in ages. Rosa’s hardened expression softened for a split second before she regained her steely expression that had an affectionate undertone to it.
“Sure. See you then,” Rosa’s lips curled up at the end of her statement before she turned around to conceal her growing grin. You shouldn’t have doubted Gina for one second because maybe fate did play a role in deciding your future. From now on, you could qualify that “Gina is always right” was a valid statement.

are roller coasters scarier than dinosaurs?
Summary: (requested by anonymous) I would love to see Owen and Claire at an amusement park and maybe one of them scared or nervous.
Wc: 879
Tumblr media
Summertime was Owen’s favorite time of the year. Even though he technically didn’t have a job after Jurassic World was destroyed, he still busied himself with constructing a cabin and didn’t take breaks unless he needed to. Building the cabin was the best way he could keep his mind from wandering about since he didn’t enjoy thinking about his past with dinosaurs. But during summer, he allowed himself to take breaks and go on vacation to live his life. After the whole fiasco with dinosaurs getting taken off the island and getting auctioned, Owen definitely needed to take a break from all the drama.
After he and Claire met again, Owen’s mind was always buzzing about thoughts about Claire. One day, Owen accepted the fact that he was going to spontaneously combust if he held these feelings for Claire any longer and decided to call her. He waited anxiously for her to pick up, wondering if she was going to ignore his call. To his relief, she picked up after the fourth ring, “Hey Owen, what’s up?”
“Hi Claire. Uh, I know you’re busy but I was wondering if you’re free to come with me to an amusement park? It’s summer and if you don’t live your life by the end of this summer, you’re never going to,” Owen joked, twirling a wrench in his left hand as he spoke. There was a brief pause after Owen’s words that worried him but Claire replied, clearly having thought the situation through, “I think I should be free on Friday. Can we go then?”
“Sure! I’ll text you the address and details,” Owen proudly answered, feeling pleased that he was going to be able to prove that he wasn’t as childish as Claire thought he was. Claire, noting the pride in his voice, laughed and retorted, “Okay, good luck with that!”
Owen couldn’t stop smiling even after Claire ended the call, feeling excited to go to an amusement park for the first time in a long time. He managed to plan everything out and to be honest, Claire made planning seem easy even though it was boring, tiring, and all around difficult. Claire was impressed by how organized Owen was and she had followed his instruction of wearing casual clothes.
“I thought you only owned business suits,” Owen joked, silently admiring the casual tank top and jeans Claire wore. Claire rolled her eyes and they entered the amusement park. Ever since the dinosaurs were allowed to roam the planet, many countries agreed to never let dinosaurs into amusement parks after what happened with Jurassic World so their date at the amusement park was dino-free.
Owen decided to play one of those rigged games that 1 in 100 won and Claire told him that there was no way that he was going to win. Owen was fairly certain that he was going to win the prize and paid the money. The game was a dart game and since Owen had great accuracy so he pierced the balloons with the darts without much effort. The vendor was surprised by Owen’s accuracy and gave him a stuffed llama that he handed to Claire. Claire was extremely surprised but accepted the gift with an affectionate giggle.
After riding some small rides together, like a drop tower and a Ferris wheel, Owen decided that he wanted to go on an intense roller coaster. Owen, who was reckless and brave, wanted to go on the craziest looking roller coaster in the park but Claire didn’t seem so stoked about the idea. When Owen saw how scared Claire seemed, he paused for a moment and asked, “Are you okay with us going on that roller coaster?”
“To be honest, I’m kind of scared,” Claire admitted shyly, an ashamed blush spreading over her cheeks. Owen held her hands in his and looked her in the eyes, a comforting, sympathetic expression and told her, “Hey, if you really don’t want to, we don’t have to go. But remember, we’ve fought dinosaurs and psychopaths and you survived! You’re a badass! This roller coaster isn’t the worst thing you’ve faced.”
Claire took a deep breath and nodded, “You know what, you’re right. It’s good to get out of my comfort zone sometimes if it doesn’t involve dinosaurs.”
“That’s the spirit!” Owen wrapped an arm around Claire as they got in line for the roller coaster. As they boarded the roller coaster, Owen held Claire’s hand and the cart began it’s ascent up the steep uphill tracks. When the cart reached the top, it abruptly dropped and thus began the spiraling journey. Claire screamed loudly and Owen yelled with her as well, the momentum of the roller coaster catching him off guard. After the ride halted to a stop and they got out, Owen asked, “So, what did you think?”
“It wasn’t actually that bad! Can we go on more rides like that?” Claire excitedly asked, enthusiasm bubbling in her voice. Owen laughed at her reaction and agreed. They went on all the rides possible in the amusement park and finished off the day with a ride on the Ferris wheel while watching the sunset. To say the least, this was considered one of the most successful dates Owen ever went on.

“Janet did a really good job at making these not-human-humans look human,” Chidi commented as he and Eleanor strolled along the neighborhood’s cozy cobblestone streets, glancing at the people they walked past.
“Janet seems to always have something up her sleeve. That girl is really something,” Eleanor remarked, tilting her head up to read a colorful sign attached to the front of an equally vibrant store. “Huh. Jen and Berry’s Ice Cream. I wonder what their ice cream tastes like.”
“Would you believe my guess that it would taste something like Ben and Jerry’s ice cream?” Chidi joked, lacing his fingers with Eleanor as they continued to walk side by side.
Eleanor gasped dramatically, covering her mouth with her free hand to further exaggerate her mock surprise. “What a surprising guess! I would’ve never thought that! How did I, a dirtbag from the stinky armpit of America called Arizona, manage to find a genius like you?”
“I guess the universe just works its wonders,” Chidi grinned, tightening his grip on Eleanor’s hand. The neighborhood was peaceful-other than the sounds of Janet making not-human-humans- and it seemed like everything was perfect. That was the word he had been looking for: perfect. Maybe Chidi wasn’t in the most ideal situation but right now, he had Eleanor and that was all he needed right now. All his life, Chidi had been searching for a purpose, a reason why humans existed and now he had accepted that he had to allow the universe to guide everything.
“Do you think the universe wants us to be together forever? I’m getting a feeling that universe seriously ships us together,” Eleanor commented, glancing up at the sky as if she was trying to find the universe’s face somewhere among the fluffy clouds suspended in the blue sky. She also wore a hopeful expression that brightened Chidi’s day. It was rare for Eleanor to be honest about such important topics, like their future together, without an excessive amount of humor. She seemed to never want to commit fully to anything (“no strings attached” was one of her favorite catchphrases) so the fact that she was the one to bring the subject up warmed Chidi’s heart.
“Yes, I do think we’re meant to be, as cheesy as it sounds. I would be more than willing to spend forever with you. Besides, we are literally stuck here forever so we’ve got all the time in the world,” Chidi swung his interlocked hand forward and back, feeling like a little boy again. He had never felt as emotionally connected with anybody as he did with Eleanor and felt relieved that the feeling was mutual.
“We’ve got all the time in the world,” Eleanor echoed, her cheeks turning rosy with affection.
“Even if we lose and Shawn tortures us eternally in the darkest pits of the bad place, as long as I’m with you, I’m as happy as can be.”
“Are you sure about that? The stuff Shawn told Michael he’d do to us sounded pretty intense,” Chidi replied, guiding Eleanor to a small table in front of a cafe. They sat down across from each other, still holding hands.
“Even if we have to deal with Shawn’s weird torturing methods, I’m sure I’d survive as long as I’m with you,” Eleanor kissed Chidi on the lips and looked him in the eyes, smiling a wide, genuine smile. Chidi leaned in for another kiss but before he could kiss his girlfriend, he was interrupted by Tahani.
“Hello Chidi and Eleanor. I just- oh, are you two having a moment here? I’m sorry if I rudely interrupted you,” Tahani paused mid-sentence, a mild look of surprise crossing her face when she saw Chidi leaning in.
“Oh no. You’re fine. What were you saying?” Eleanor cleared her throat, turning to face Tahani, her smile shrinking. She still had her hand in Chidi’s and Chidi found it comforting.
“Michael wanted me to let you know that our new resident is coming in a bit,” Tahani informed rather sheepishly, fidgeting with the folds of her flowery dress. Eleanor nodded and replied “Okay I’ll be there in a bit. Give me a second.”
Tahani nodded, quickly leaving Chidi and Eleanor. Eleanor kissed Chidi on the lips and gave his hand a tight squeeze. As she pulled away, she said, “I’ll be back before you know it. I love you.”
“I love you too,” Chidi replied as she stood up and walked away. He sat in the chair for a solid second, staring after the love of his life, wondering how he got so lucky.
~
Whatever happened to forever? Just days ago, Eleanor and Chidi had been happily exploring the neighborhood together, speculating and daydreaming about their future together. Now, Chidi didn’t even recognize his own girlfriend. Technically, Eleanor wasn’t Chidi’s ex-girlfriend because he never officially broke up with her but since he didn’t know her now, she was an artifact from his past.
Eleanor barely got through the introduction with Chidi and tried hard to keep herself together as she gave a quick tour of the neighborhood, but now that she was truly alone, she allowed herself to think. She had learned to numb her feelings and promised to never fully fall in love, mainly because of what happened between her parents, and the one time that she thought she found the love of her life, the universe had to steal him from her hands.
As much as Eleanor wanted to believe that everything would end up okay, she was terrified that she was never going to be able to hold Chidi in her arms again and that she was going to be alone forever. But she remembered the hope the sparked between her and Chidi right before he forgot everything and held onto that small speck of something, hoping, waiting, and wishing for a way for him to find her again.
this was my first good place fic! i love love love this tv show but haven’t written any fics for it for some reason haha

Can I have a headcanon of Peter Parker meeting newt scamander in like an alternate universe?
i love this prompt with burning passion! thank you for this awesome request!
-peter parker was just doing his thing, swinging around new york city watching out for crime and bad dudes to beat up
-it was a pretty boring afternoon; nothing extremely threatening had popped up yet
-that was until he saw this giant creature with enormous wings and a tail in the distant, causing havoc and panic in the streets
-peter excitedly swung from building to building to catch the beast
-”ha, got you now!” (cue the web shooting at the poor and confused hippogriff)
-”stop!” (cue a confused peter looking down at newt pointing a wand at him)
-”whoA what the heck?” peter backs off because he obviously doesn’t want to be attacked by this weird wand holding dude
-newt handles the hippogriff and leads the beast back into his suitcase
-keep in mind that peter parker thought he was so cool with his webs until he saw newt’s suitcase
-peter swings down from the building to greet this rad wizard dude
-”wow what was that? who are you? i’m pet- i mean, spider-man,” peter stumbles over his words because he’s awkward like that
-”that was a hippogriff and i’m newt scamander. are you a muggle or a wizard? i’ve never seen anything like you,” newt’s british accent literally kills peter since whoa this dude can control that hippo thing and have a perfect accent
-”uh, i’m a human? not a wizard? oh wait, but i know a wizard! do you know doctor strange! he’s my friend. or like kinda friend. i don’t really know what i should consider him to be because we were mostly fighting,” peter rambles on a little too quickly, causing newt to look a bit confused
-”no, i don’t believe i know a doctor strange. i apologise but i must leave now. i have some business to attend to,” newt politely informs, shaking peter parker’s hand
-”omg it’s totally fine! it was so cool meeting you! see you around wizard dude!!”

ty for this request anon!
🌹claire is usually really busy and she expected owen to have forgotten about valentine’s day but of course he didn’t🌹so she was surprised when she found a bouquet of roses next to her in the morning🌹owen surprised her with breakfast in bed and didn’t let claire access her laptop to work since it was a sunday🌹so obviously they did the coupley things such as dinner in a fancy restaurant watching a movie together🌹but claire felt bad that she didn’t but as much effort into valentine’s day and found a video she made on her phone a little while ago of all of her and owen’s best moments together🌹so she showed it to owen and owen literally almost cried 🌹valetines day was pretty successful to say the least :)

ty for the request!
⛺️ claire honestly was very skeptical about the camping trip because she wouldn’t have WiFi for a week and wouldn’t be able to access her work stuff but Owen talked her into agreeing⛺️claire usually planned the vacations and was the leader but this time she let Owen take the lead⛺️Owen packed less than what claire expected but she trusted Owen enough not to argue⛺️Owen taught claire how to set up a tent and start a fire in addition to teaching her how to hunt with the classic bow and arrow instead of a gun⛺️they are both outdoor lovers and ended up enjoying this trip a ton⛺️claire is terrified of bugs eating her alive in her sleep so she shares a sleeping bag with Owen so they basically cuddle every night ⛺️they go hiking, animal spotting and swimming it’s romantic and challenging at the same time!

🎢okay so its summer time and Claire and Owen finally take time off work to go to this local amusement park bc according to Owen, Claire needs to learn how to have fun🎢Owen decides to play one of those “rigged games” where one out of like 100 people win and Claire is skeptical 🎢its a dart shooting game and Owen has insanely good accuracy with darts so he nails the balloons and wins a stuffed animal for Claire🎢Claire is super shocked but accepts it anyways🎢Owen is really brave so he wants to go to an intense roller coaster and Claire is kind of scared but Owen convinced her by saying “cmon we fought dinosaurs what’s so scary about a cart on tracks?”🎢Claire ends up enjoying it a lot and they go on basically all the rides🎢they finish off their day by getting cotton candy and riding the Ferris wheel while watching the sunset!

📖 johnlock
I personally love this request with buRNING passion
📖John has like a 3.6 gpa and he’s an average kid but Sherlock, being a genius, has a perfect 5.0 gpa📖but sadly Sherlock gets bullied a lot for being a nerd but John always comforts him📖Sherlock always forgets there’s school dances and never really wants to go which kinda annoys John but it ends up being okay because they have a good time at John’s house anyway📖Sherlock hates seeing his brother, mycroft in school 📖he also helps John study for tests and quizzes even if he isn’t the best tutor 📖John was frustrated that he was stressed about his exams and that Sherlock breezes through them so Sherlock comforts John with cuddles 📖sadly they have to keep their relationship a secret or they’d both be bullied more but they’re happy as they are, besides all the schoolwork

studying in college/high school for clawen please xx
Thank you for this request anon!
Studying in high school:📖 Owen is surprising smarter than Claire in some subjects even though he seems more of a sports kid📖but claire is still the q u e e n at math and tutors Owen a lot📖claire isn’t really the best at gym but Owen always threatens to beat up anybody who tries to even start to make fun of her during gym class📖they study for college exams together with flash cards and Owen being the dork he is, doodled little cartoons on the flash cards📖while finals and exams are approaching, so is graduation and homecoming, the final dance📖Owen really wants to ask claire and he is super nervous about doing it but his friends encourage him to so he asks her out with flowers📖it’s honestly not even a surprise that Claire answered yes📖after exams and as graduation approaches, they both realize “oh crap college” 📖somehow (maybe by magic?) they got into the same college and they realize that everything might actually be okay
Studying in College:📚okay college is way harder than Owen expected but claire knew what was coming📚Owen ends up needing Claire’s help with studying for English class 📚Claire is majoring in business while Owen is majoring in biology 📚claire hates hates hates parties and Owen went to a few before he decided the party life wasn’t for him📚Owen wants to become an animal trainer or have a job that’s related to animals but his dad is forcing him to join the army📚before he leaves to join the army, he and Claire go on a date and its kind of awkward because they both know they probably won’t see each other again📚claire is really devastated when Owen leaves and Owen wanted to finish studying but his father didn’t allow him to📚this just turned into a sad story now sorry but when claire starts up Jurassic world, Owen and Claire meet again and you know the rest of the story :)

kissing tutorial; clawen 💓💓
thank you for this request anon! Its late at night and I’m exhausted but I’ll write one last one before I sleep!
❤️claire never really properly learned how to kiss❤️her parents never gave her the “romance” talk and her first date in high school was awkward❤️kissing somebody in college for the first time (yes Claire was a nerd she waited that long for a kiss) was an … interesting experience❤️claire never really enjoyed kissing until it came to Owen Grady❤️they didn’t really bond until dinosaurs tried to eat them twice❤️when they got together, owen could tell claire had no idea how to properly kiss❤️so he taught (a very reluctant) claire how to French kiss❤️claire was hesitant to accept the tongue but she realized that kissing wasn’t as gross as she thought it was❤️in fact, Owen Grady was an exceptionally good kisser ❤️so after a month of dating the one and only Owen, claire finally got the hang of kissing
