One thing I love about the Silmarillion is that because it’s so massive, its fans have to specialize.
Like I love everything but my Silm major is in Finrod studies, with a minor in obscure background characters.
Reblog this post with your Silmarillion “speciality,”

"That unfortunate who wrote this yearns for love behind measure, so that love would keep him from committing things he is too afraid to do. He was beaten for things he never would have done (if only he would have been loved). He is the child who was not loved and who was beaten for it because they could not endure that they did not love him. He desires love this way, so he wouldn't be hurt. [...]"
- Attila József, Hungarian poet.
This line begins the Hungarian Musical called 'Én, József Attila' [Me, Attila József]. It's a very strong beginning and it left its print on me. Attila was a tragic poet, suffering throughout his entire life, especially with mental health and he committed suicide at the age of 32. He made an enormous impact on the whole of Hungary.
The original detail:
"Az a szerencsétlen, aki ezeket irta, mérhetetlenül áhitozik szeretetre, hogy a szeretet vissza tartsa őt oly dolgok elkövetésétől, melyeket fél megtenni. Őt olyasmiért verték, amit soha nem tett volna. Ő az a gyermek, akit nem szerettek s akit ezen kívűl azért vertek, mert nem tudták elviselni azt, hogy nem szeretik. Igy kivánja ő a szeretetet azért, hogy ne bántsák."

Ratings of my favorite BBC Uncle songs:
No Survivors - 7/10
A bit long and slow for me, but the lyrics are pretty lit of you listen to it.
I Like Like You - 10/10
Very catchy with very creative lyrics. Would 100% go out with anyone who sings this to me.
I Love Love You - 10.5/10
I'm sorry, but that rock just gives so much more to it. Also, Errol saying the 'This song was written by him' is somehow sooooooooooo good.
I'm Back - 10/10
As someone bored of their Catholic school I 110% approve this. 'Like Jesus Christ or what's his name' is an illegally funny line.
Last Place Hero 124/10
I'm literally obsessed with this song. I hum it all the time and I've translated the lyrics into Hungarian just for fun. ¯\_(シ)_/¯ Also, Val, Casper and Gwen are absolutely amazing there. 👏👏
Seven Minutes in Heaven - 8/10
Very fun lyrics! I absolutely adore Errol's lines.
Carpet Brothers Jingle - 11/10
Oh, I whish there were any Carpet Brothers in Hungary so that I could just hang out there and listen to this masterpiece.
Green Eyed Monster - 8.5/10
Oh gosh why is it sooo good???? This song should be every teenage girl's dream. Also, why does 'I've been going through your bins' goes so hard?
Ship In A Bottle - 11/10
One of my favorites. It's emotional but still so Andy. If this isn't playing on my funeral, I'm not going.

I always felt that Elros was closer to Maglor and Elrond to Maedhros, because Maglor needed a king and Maedhros, a healer.

I don't know how many people will understand this parallel, but what Buttons is in OFMD is what Tom Bombadil is in LotR.
I mean, two funny little guys who handle magic unlike their world? Who seem insignificant until shown bizarre power (transforming into bird/rejecting the One Ring)? Who are able to talk to the nature (Karl/Old Man Willow)? Who are in a relationship with some kind of water element (the f*cking Sea/Goldberry)? And who are also respected by the elders of their world (Auntie/Lord Elrond)? And who are just as big of an enigma to them as to us?
Honestly I don't know what conclusion to make of this, but it was fun to notice.

Dear OFMD fandom, and most importantly dear Frenchie x Izzy fandom inside of OFMD.
Let me recommend my own writings to consideration of reading. (I don't know what the fuck people say while posting their fanfictions.)
Sing back the melody: Modern Soulmate AU. One shot, finished.
Cursed by you: Frenchie is actually a witch in disguise. In progress.

Just a bit of fanfiction...

As much as I love Ed and Stede I literally like any member of the Revenge Crew better, so here are five more background character that have deeper personality than the Atlantic Ocean:
Spanish Jackie: Is she Jackie? Yes. Is she Spanish? No. The perfect combo. She's the strong female character every media needs. Having her own pirate bar, kicking out everyone and everything she doesn't like is the best life anyone can ever have. At this point if she asked me to marry her I'd gladly be her twenty second spouse.
Karl: One minute silence for the memory of Karl please. I think everything has been said about him already. Good friend, navigator, great husband, loyal companion. Rest in peace Karl.
Olivia: Imagine being the cool heroine who - after her husband not coming home - finds his best friend, learns how he died, helps to avenge him and then stays and fills the position he used to be in. I think she doesn’t get enough credit. More 👏 love 👏 for 👏 Olivia.
Fang (Kevin): Man, look at that jawline! I cannot believe he haven't been sketched before. I really like about him that even in those first few episodes where he was supposed to be a scary big guy he just looked like a big marshmallow. (*in Spanish Jackie's voice*: but I love me a marshmallow.)
Ivan: the guy is the kind of man who goes like 'I don't like drama' but then literally brings popcorn. I'm in love with both him and his axe, fight me about it but I think it's an underrated weapon. Also, I will not stop missing him. It hit so hard to hear that he died, I won't forget the way he was always there for Fang. Love🖤
Archie: I almost forgot our crew-quenn. Excuse me, she isn't 'the new guy', she is the most badass person you'll see in this century. And man, somebody get her a snake! I think she misses her days in the snake cult and it would be just cool addition overall.
PS: Do not worry, my (as it turns out very-very long) Izzy essay is coming along.

I cannot express in words how much I love the crew in Our Flag Means Death. I adore how much personality they all have even tough they are stuck in the "background character" group. I would honestly watch it if any of them would have their own spin-off. I mean, I like Ed and Stede just fine, but look at these babies!!!
Frenchie: Oh, don't get me started on Frenchie, I adore the man. He's the literal impersonation of 'looks like a cinammon roll, could kill you'. My man is a DnD bard who invented pyramid schemes *and* fanfictions. Plus he may be the genius of his age while still believing in witches and crystals.
Wee John: Roomies! Man, how much more I'd like to see of this beautiful Drag Queen. Long live Calypso! And how much I whish to know if he sews his own drag clothes.🤔
Black Pete: It's not healthy how much I'm invested in "Blackbeard's most trusted man". He thinks he needs to create cool stories to get the others to like him, but he's actually very soft and caring. I mean, have you seen the finger he gave to Lucius? He's an angel.
Lucius: If it weren't from Ori from the Hobbit movies, he'd be my favorite scribe of all times. My man is underpaid for all the realitionship drama he has to listen to and his bonus consisted of getting thrown off the ship (which is, like, rude). Also, he can pickpocket Spanish Jackie???? Hi, yes, I'd like to order a backstory, possibly 20 hours long, please.
Buttons: Oh gosh, the Sea Witch. I'm in need of much more explanation and screen time dear writers. And he straight up talks to animals and curses people? Aunty took one look at him and went: "Yapp, that's the Sea Witch". I wonder how Frenchie haven't declared him an evil witch yet.
Roach: My man is a maniac cook whose also the medic just in case. He's half crazy and I couldn't thank him more for it. He also let's Stede request orange cakes from him which is just very sweet overall. Bro also invented peanut butter (like we wouldn't notice it), then fed it to an allergic person, then blamed it on a curse.
the Swede: It's most certainly not fair how well written he is for him to be standing in the background. He has the voice of an angel, please! He might not be the smartest person in the room, but he fucks like a jackhammer, I mean he became hot. That's something.
Jim: Oh, sometimes I cannot comprehend how great Jim is. They're mute, then a mermaid, then neither, 'cause they're just Jim! They're exactly the kinda person to give up revenge for 'not feeling the vibe' anymore. They also would kill anyone who hurts their crewfamily without batting an eye.
Oluwande: Don't even get me started on this beautiful, lovely teddy bear. He's the best hearted, but still serious and trustful of all. He literally gets along with everyone and we need so much people like him. Today's message is to be more like Olu!
Thank you for listening to my Ted-talk, don't worry, the 'why I love Izzy' will be a separate post will be, I couldn't fit him here.
Plus stuff I want to mention that this isn't directed against the writers, I know there were more than one problems with the founding of the second season. Rather, this is a compliment for all the hard work for these *excellent* characters! xx

Okay, okay hear me out: non-binary Aziraphale (still going by he/him) and our lovely genderfluid Crowley are walking together when some drunk homophobic ass goes over to them and asks the usual "Who's the man and the woman between you?"
To which Aziraphale gets out his most polite smile and indicates at Crowley with "Oh no, he's both" and just continues to walk. Crowley in his silly way waves at the man, then catches up with Aziraphale.
(Later the man falls over and breaks his nose. It's just a demonic miracle...)

First post and it might be not liked by everyone, but I just need to say something:
I need someone to shame Rings of Power together.
Yepp. That's it.
I mean we all know it's bad, but it feels good to repeat it over and over again. My long suffering family has had enough of me and I wouldn't like to get kicked out :' ).
And at the end of day... the best friendships bond over something they hate. (Right???)
So if you're feeling like ranting over those ridiculous hairstyles, beardless dwarf women or how much Lord of the Rings is better then feel free to message me :).
