I believe it's more about societies than the mere individual. The fact is, we are in this together, and we not only need to change our way of life to prevent and reverse climate change, but also to survive all the challenges that are unstoppable now.

From efficient low or 0 energy cooling architecture, varied locally sourced foods and low carbon transportation (such as public transport) to switching to renewables and buying just what you need, there are a lot of changes that we can implement that not only tackle climate change and make it easier to live with the challenges brought on by global warming, but are also healthier and economically smart.

However, please try to not sacrifice yourself too much. The best sustainable lifestyle is the one that you can sustain. And it's always better to save some energy for systematic change than to live miserably while oil companies announce record-breaking profits.

🫠 The goddamn temperature record was broken more than 10 times this month.

As in, the warmest day record (globally) EVER was broken on the 3rd of July. Then that record was broken the next day, on the 4th. This one was broken on the 5th... and then on the 6th...

This all follows last month being the hottest June on record.

It's a CRISIS.

US special envoy on climate change told a congressional hearing that the United States will not, under any circumstances, pay reparations to developing countries hit by climate-fueled disasters.

The US did however back the creation of a funding mechanism to address the damage caused by environmental disasters, which have become more frequent and severe due to the climate crisis.

The US just seems to talk the talk without any intent of actually walking the walk 😡

I'm honestly worried we won't be able to beat climate change in time.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared too. And that's good. We'd be stupid to not be scared.

However, we must turn that fear into the energy that we need to accomplish our goals because doing nothing is a sure way to have us doomed by this climate crisis.

We have no choice but to quickly expand generation four nuclear power for heat and electricity.

I mean, it's certainly a good stepping stone for a complete renewable transition. Not for indefinite usage though although maybe we'll develop fusion by then (if humanity's still around since the condition for that is for us to have eliminated climate change)
