Here's a preview of what I made for the Spyro 25th Anniversary Zine!
It's my first zine experience and it was loads of fun to be a part of! This zine is full of extremely talented artists and writers (~which were all a pleasure to work with~), so if you're a Spyro nerd like me, I highly recommend preordering one for yourself or a friend 💜
I'm taking a step back from Project SperoNova because of personal matters and to focus on more original content/ building a professional portfolio.
While this comic has lasted for less than a year online, I have been working on this personal project for over a decade at this point. I will always love SperoNova, however I won't lie, it's been hard to work on because it reminds me of who I used to be before my transition.
It was hard to come to this conclusion after investing so much time and energy into it since childhood, but I am ready to move on. By focusing on more original content I can let my art and self work freely without limitation. There's so much more I can do and I'm no longer afraid of letting myself be myself.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who took the time to read SperoNova. All your positive feedback means so much to me and I will cherish it always and forever.
Now I'm going to put all my ideas and characters in a blender and workshop them into something brand new. Hope you enjoy the ride!
Zelda and Link dancing in the castle. Link is wearing a royal knight outfit similar to the one seen at the end of the Link to the Past comic book, and he has pink hair on request because his SNES sprite had pink hair.
i'm just gonna go ahead and say it:
you can't make fun of people for finding any of the scientists from crash bandicoot hot when there's people who unironically lust after irl serial killers.
i am going to hold hands with dr neo cortex and you cannot stop me.
A mini comic I made with @NyxietheDreamSheep on Twitter! Featuring my beloved robot OCs ~ Drawn to be developed into a full motion comic with voice acting and all! Everyone on this project worked so hard and they delivered fr! I encourage you to check it out and go give it some love!
Library of Congress - historical posters and photos
NASA - you guessed it
Creative Commons - all kinds of stuff, homie
Even Adobe has some free images
There are so many ways to make moodboards, bookcovers, and icons without plagiarizing! As artists, authors, and other creatives, we need to be especially careful not to use someone else’s work and pass it off as our own.
Please add on if you know any more resources for free images <3
