Viviane & Kallias are my favorite side couple in the ACOTAR series, and I’ve been wanting to commission them ever since I began, and now thanks to @emartsemi i, this beauty is done! When I read their story in ACOWAR, this instantly became a top favorite and their story always makes me soon! I’ve always loved winter and the holiday season, and what better way to capture that than with one of the most underrated couples in the series?

I have always loved this quote, and the thought of Elain and Azriel finding peace and quiet together. My headcanon is that whenever they attend a party or ball, they take a little time to sneak away and just be together, and that’s what I wanted this piece to show 💕

I’m so pissed that I listened to TikTok when they were shaming Solitaire for its writing. Like is it the best book out there? Nope. Are some of the lines cringey? Yep. Hell, a lot of the references in the beginning alienate a modern audience, but in the end, Solitaire is an incredible story. I’ve loved how campy it has become with age, and watching Tori slowly develop as a character and person has made it all worth it. Idc if you don’t like it because it’s not Heartstopper, but it isn’t as bad as TikTok has made it seem. They’ve just taken lines out-of-context to make fun of a story that I’ve personally found really relatable.
I get that this book isn’t for everyone. I’ve cringed at a lot of the narration, but don’t judge it because of what people have been saying. I honestly think that if I didn’t have all of those strangers’ voices in my head when I started it, I would have enjoyed it a lot more than I did. All in all, thank you Alice Oseman for this book. As an asexual kid who has a not-so-great mental health record, I’ve never related to a character so much before. Thank you for Tori Spring, and thank you for Michael Holden. Thank you for Solitaire.
