Trees communicate using their roots, demonstrating a profound interconnectedness akin to our own social networks. They are linked to us by producing the oxygen we breathe, a critical aspect of our shared ecosystem. While our genetic codes differ significantly, it's a reminder of the diverse tapestry of life on Earth, with DNA being the common thread that unites us all.

great stuff, thanks!
This post is for my fellow elloweeds here on Tumblr.
I’ve learned a few tricks I would like to share regarding our new home and using Tumblr.
If you don’t like how busy Tumblr is compared two Ello I would recommend:
An ad blocker app or paying the five dollars to Tumblr to have their version without ads. The five dollar version also removes the promoted or blazed tumbld posts as well.
Then, the lives drive me crazy at the top. Seriously- I start to feel dizzy at how fast they move. If that isn’t your thing either, you can snooze those for seven days by going to account- settings-dashboard- snooze for seven days. After a week, just untoggle and then toggle the key over again and it will snooze for another seven days.
If you want more views:
Tag your posts. Make sure to take advantage of your support from other ellovites and tag the page #elloon . It looks like tagging about up to ten isn’t considered rude on here. However, you should re-search your tags.
There are three pages at the top of your app to thumb through. These include who you follow, recommendations of what you might like, and your tags you follow. If you click on a specific tag you follow it will tell you how many other people on Tumblr also follow that tag. I recommend using a couple extremely followed ones supplemented with medium followed ones that target your style within your genre. Poetry has a huge following. However, inside my genre I also write many #dark academia style poems and like poems that have the tag dead poets society in specific. This is also a great way to find a re-blog blog that you can tag who might pick up your content and re-blog it.
I would also recommend helping out your other friends from the Elloverse within your genre as well as Ello people’s content you simply like. We are all stronger as a community. I check pages that belong to other writers of Ello and re-post stuff that I find appealing and somewhat matching my content. Love has a way of coming back around… Like their stuff too— spread the love— it will come back to you. I specifically like photography that focuses on up close details and black and white. I make sure to like a lot of that even though I don’t share it on my page since it isn’t poetry or a short form of writing. I make exceptions for photographers who also include writing and will re-post that since it has overlapping content with my own.
If you want to see more stuff you like and less of what you do not:
Follow about fifty blogs you find appealing and start liking their stuff so the algorithm can learn your interests. To find blogs you like, first make sure you have tags you follow that interest you. I have a thing for pictures of #roses, #cottage core, #wildflowers and interests in things like #fairies and #mermaids outside of following poetry and writing tags. I even follow a sailor moon tag because—she is so awesome people! Consequently, I see a lot of content I like and little of what I don’t now.
That is what I have learned from my humbled beginnings here. I hope you like at least one thing from what I have learned and can use it. Heck, I hope you pass me in knowledge and become a true Ello weed and start popping up everywhere.
Go forth and multiply my beloveds.
