“Too much imagination. Too much creativity. That’s why dreamers don’t succeed in the real world.” they told me. “I know,” I replied. “But in all the worlds I’ve created I was free—and I was alive—and I was loved. And I still am.”

Villain/Hero Prompt #1
*Note: This is my first published writing on here and I am so scared!! Please don’t be too harsh: English isn’t my first language and I am not that good at writing. But I’ve been reading a bit too many Hero/Villain prompts so I wanted to throw in my own. Hope you like it! And now for the backstory: The Hero’s world crumples as they find out that the organization they worked for has done terrible things, and hid them from the world and from the Hero. In pain, the Hero seeks out the one person they can trust.
“Make me forget.“
The Villain looks up, waiting for the Hero to correct themselves, to say they were just teasing or baiting a reaction. But there is no hesitation behind the Hero’s words. They are coming closer, cornering the Villain against the cold stone wall.
In a desperate attempt to get away from this situation, the Villain turns their back on the Hero. They try to come up with words, to make the Hero see reason. “You don’t know what you’re saying. Perhaps you sh-“ A hot breath in their ear and a grip on their hip stop the Villain dead in their tracks. “Please.“
The word is uttered with such need and desperation from the once too proud Hero. Any restraint and self-control the Villain might have had fades away. They turn around, gripping the Hero’s shocked face, and roughly connect their lips. There is nothing sweet or gentle about the kiss, just pure lust and need. And perhaps a bit more.
Hero’s knees hit the bed, and then the Villain is on top of them, hands tearing clothes off and teeth leaving marks down their neck.
The rest of the world fades away when the Villain’s kisses start trailing lower, hands roaming the Hero’s body. Soft moans leave the Hero’s lips but the Villain eats them all up, hell bent on fulfilling the Hero’s needs.

Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when I still get groped when I go to a party, despite not showing interest.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when people still ask rape victims what they were wearing at the moment they were assaulted.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when men can not express their emotions without being called “feminine,” as if that’s a bad thing.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when there are more than 130 million young girls who are denied education.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when women who have many sexual partners are called “sluts” and “whores,” but men who have many sexual partners are just “playboys.”
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when men who are mentally ill are afraid to seek out for help in fear that they won’t be taken seriously.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when I tell people that I want to be a surgeon and they tell me things like, “But you’re so pretty, don’t you want to pick something easier?” or, “Are you sure that’s not too hard for you?”
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when ~64% of illiterate adults are women.
Don’t tell me sexism isn’t real when I’m told to “cover up,” to not distract boys, but boys aren’t taught to control themselves.
Sexism affects us all, knowingly or not.
Don’t tell me it isn’t real.

Okay but the importance of romanticising soft kind thoughtful boys who are open about their feelings and sweet in general cannot be overstated. More romantic leads who check in on their girls , who don’t care about being seen as “whipped” , who go out of their way to bond with little sisters and moms and dads , and who don’t try to change the girl they’re with at all. We need to romanticise soft kind boys, so that young girls see soft kind boys as the ideal romantic partner. Teach young girls through media that being with the asshole guy isn’t what they need, teach young girls to find kind boys who actually talk to them about real stuff, who watch the movies they like, who never tease them or mock them, who stand up for them and are never ever embarrassed of them, who notice their smarts and their personality, who understand their fears and their struggles, and actually care about them. If we make that the ideal Love Interest™️ character more young girls will see that as someone to strive for, and maybe less of them will settle for guys who treat them poorly because of it.

“I have this undying love for wild, unapologetic, raw souls. The ones that show the world that they’re so strong and need no one else to run along them, but when they love, they love so deeply that they can feel the others heart beat in their own throat. The ones that wear their hair messy and laugh at the fact that they have a messy heart to go along with it. The ones that aren’t scared to say “here I am take me, I dare you to break me” and when they do they just love stronger the next time around. The ones that cry and hurt but never turn cold and bitter. The ones that the moment the sun touches their skin they close their eyes, take a deep breath and smile because they believe if they take in enough sunshine they will start to resemble it. and they’re not wrong. The ones that find peace at the sound of thunder and happiness in rain. The ones that find a melody in waves when they crash at the shore. The ones that drink their coffee black and though they’ll never admit that half way through when they think its too strong they add cream, but it won’t change the fact that every morning they’ll continue to drink their coffee black while keeping a stash of creamer hidden. The ones that find beauty in the darkest places which is why they will never tell or ask someone to change, all they will do is sit and enjoy the fact that such darkness is brave enough to come close to such light. So heres to those souls, I will forever love you and you will forever be my favorite thing to witness.”

life gets better once you start doing your own thing. stop comparing yourself to others and if that means getting rid of social media than get rid of social media. it means to stop with the negative self talk, your brain is lying to you. train it to tell the beautiful truth.
it means to look ahead of you, not behind, not to the side. pay no attention to the strangers around you until you can look at them and feel peace in your heart that you are doing just fine and so are they. you do not have to compromise your self love because someone else is beautiful, successful etc. you can be beautiful too, don’t worry.
it gets easier once you start paying attention to yourself, your own happiness. your own comfort. pay no mind, speak words of kindness, and enjoy what you have.
