The Hyppocampus and the Nymph ✨Throwback✨ Unique prints available!✨ Made with graphite and @colirocolors golden ink on @strathmoreart paper. 🌊A tale about the last hippocampus, guardians of the seas, and the oceanid that befriended him and got to see his golden blood sacrifice🌊 (Go to the original post to read the tale or maybe buy a print to get it on a card hihi) I don’t remember if I ever re-shared this illustration since I finished it more than 2 years ago, maybe because I had a hard time with it. The thing is that after finishing it and after lots of hours of work (as you can guess by the level of detail), I experimented a bit on it and ruined the original piece (maybe some of you remember back then the stories when I messed it up, I almost cried 😂). I still have it in a binder but it seems unfixable and in no way suitable for selling or having it in an exhibition. So I worked a lot on it, it was one of my best pieces so far, and completly ruined the illustration. It happens, sometimes you throw away days of work because of an accident or bad time experimentation. Part of the job... That’s why staring at it gives me a bittersweet taste. At least I was smart enough to scan the piece before doing the stupid experiment, so even if I never get to sell the original, at least I can make prints and get with them a bit of the time and work earned back. Even if the original will never be available, you have prints of this illustration in my shop! And not regular prints, since the prints of this piece are limited and all of them have hand-drawn golden ink embellishments added. The Toymaker, one of my favourite illustrations made this year, about a Baroque style clown that builds toys that come to life when he winds up their mechanical key, althpugh they get lifeless again when the key stops. He is always building, aiming to create a toy that stays forever alive wothout having to wind up the key.

Art Vs Artist 2020✨

Last post of the year and finishing it with the #artvsartist trend! It’s been a bad and crazy year. A year we all will remember and most of us in a bad way. My chronic pain got worse, my engagement is dying and I’m not growing anymore here so I’m very unsure about my future as an artist, I’m scared of catching the virus and getting the long term sequelae added to my chronic pain… And I can consider myself lucky because even if I had a bad year, at least I hadn’t any personal great loss. If you have lost someone to this pandemic, or to any other accident/illness/disaster, I’m really sorry, and I know those words won’t ease your grief. The only thing that I can tell you is that it’s okay to take your time to grief, it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to feel bad. You will have to eventually get up again and keep up with your life, but if you need a pause and you can afford it, take it. And wish for you the best 💙 About the post, these are some of my favourite pieces of this year, and I hope I can keep making more the next one! Because I’m not sure about my next step as an artist, I plan when I finish all my commissions to take a break from them and think deeply about my art and where to lead it. I need to make of it a stable income if I want to keep surviving as an independent illustrator, because if my chronic pain doesn’t get better, working on my own with my own schedule at home is my only option of making a living. If you want to help my art grow, becoming a patron is always a great way, I’m planning a lot of new extra content only for my patrons for this next year. "The Balance"

My main illustration of this year and my new logo and "brand image" as an artist! This was one of the hardest illustrations I've ever made because of the mirrored symmetry, which I had never pushed this far. And even of it's not flawless, I'm really happy woth how it turned out!

Hi, people! Don’t know if the followers I made here still care, but I just took back my Tumblr account, changed a bit its looks, deleted almost all my posts (want a fresh start) and here I am!
