I'm trying to find a poem that I first discovered here on Tumblr but have since lost. Maybe someone can help me find it? The title is something like "Autumn" or "Autumnal," or maybe even "Fall," and it's very long - not just a page or two, but rather more like ten or more. For some reason, I thought it was by Louise Glück, but her poem, "Autumn," is only one page long and doesn't quite have the right vibes. I remember that it was very melancholic and sad, as many good autumn poems tend to be, and that I loved it very much.
I LOVE your cicada cross stitch! Do you have the chart for sale somewhere?
You know, I honestly didn't realize that these little bugs would strike such a chord with people! I've gone ahead and listed the patterns on Etsy. Here's the link for the cicada with the spread wings, and here's the link for the side view cicada.
Happy stitching!
I've been stitching some cicadas lately. This year is going to be a big one for the screaming bugs!
For those interested in making their own cross stitched cicadas, the patterns are available for sale here and here! (Please note: my software skills mean that I had to freehand the AAAAAs rather than place them in the pattern itself, so those are not included in the patterns. This does mean that you can make these little guys uniquely your own and add any sort of scream that you'd like, though!)
