Life is so precious! We really need to take every day and make the most out of it! My heart was broken last night when I heard of Shock G passing! I really couldn’t do this last night...I am grateful that we got to work with him on “Final Hour” which was a song we wrote for Butch, who had just passed at the time. Shock G was outside of Hyde Street Studios asking to come in and practice piano cuZ he had a bad day and he told us he had been recording here plenty in the past in the 90s with Digital Underground. So, cousin Wil let him in! He came in to a session with Chris McGrew and his cousin Wil Everts where he learned of Butch’s passing. He was so bummed to hear that because Butch was such a good friend to him! Chris told him we wrote a track for Butch “Final Hour” and after hearing it he asked if he could add something to it. Of course, the answer was yes! It is so odd that this may have been one of his last released recordings of his life! It’s eery because we recorded that song the week Butch passed and wrote it for him. I feel so blessed to have been a part of some music with Shock G. What a legend and kind spirited man! He will be remembered by so many and his music will live on forever! Live each day as it could be your last!!! “Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one!” - Bruce Lee This is a shirt my daughter made me almost 10 years ago. I love this quote because I have had to find the strength to get through so many difficult situations and it reminds me that my daughter is one of the best things that ever happened in this life!!! She is a gift beyond measure ❤️🤍❤️. I am holding some @puriumhp power shake with the LOVE super meal added in for my breakfast and am absolutely loving this transformation I’ve been going through for the past 25 days. I really never thought I’d be one of those “shake people” but here I am and so happy!
