I think people would armchair diagnose bad people with cluster B disorders much less if psychiatric disorders hadn't all been given names by ableists who of course picked the traits most unberarable to "sane" people to name them rather than, you know, the ways it affects the people that have them. It's like, when doctors are all "this disorder gives you extremely low self esteem. and it's called the Selfish Fucking Asshole Disorder" or "this disorder makes you want to die so bad. and it's called the Hysteric Bitch Disorder" or "this disorder disconnects you from your peers. and it's called the Insane Evil Cunt Disorder" and so on and so forth, so of course you have people going "oh, this person is a selfish fucking asshole, they MUST have Selfish Fucking Asshole Disorder! this further proves that all people with this disorder are like that in the first place!" You know that one post about using the special things instead of saving them for a time special enough to use them? Burning the pretty candles, eating off the fine china, that sort of thing.

Tonight I opened the sterling silverware that my parents were gifted when they married 30-some years ago. They never used it, it was put in a cabinet to be safe and keep from tarnishing until it was time to use them, and that never happened. When my mom visited and saw my mismatched utensils she decided I needed that silverware. I opened all the sealed plastic sleeves that kept them from tarnishing and got fingerprints on them for the first time.

Since my parents’ wedding they had not so much as touched the open air. Tonight they have touched late night box mac and cheese, as was surely always intended.

Merlin has Gold Eyes: Prompt/Idea

Magic turns eyes gold. Merlin is magic. Therefore his should be gold.

They start off blue, but the longer he’s in Camelot, the more his magic grows, the more in tune with the magic inside him he is, they slowly start to turn gold even when not casting spells.

It starts slowly, almost unnoticeable at first. Just little flecks of gold in his irises that could just be a trick of the light. But then there’s more and more. The blue is turning to gold and staying that way. There’s nothing he can do to stop it.
