05. CYCLE - stars aligned - suna x f!reader

“fuck”

you wake up with a pounding headache with the scent of your ex still lingering in the room. you look to the right and see the bottle of vodka that’s 3/4 finished with a note saying, “better to not drink alone.” in handwriting you knew too well.

“when will this cycle stop,” you shake your head as you spot the same bouquet that has been always given to you when you call him over drunk.

ever since your breakup with semi eita your drinking habits have been becoming worse. after he cheated the last words he exchanged were, “we both know you’ll come crawling back,” before slamming the door on your face. you swore to yourself that it would never happen but deep down you were sure as hell it would.

the night you broke up you and your friends got drunk and high to wash out all the agony of the breakup out.

a month after your breakup you decided to drink your stress of mid-terms away alone in your dorm while juvia was out. that night you called semi and begged him to come over. he came with a bouquet of flowers and your favorite snacks. with a few kisses here and there and words being tossed in the air you both knew this was bad. every morning you’d wake up with the lingering scent of him.

since then, every time you get drunk alone semi is at your door with the same bouquet of flowers repeating the cycle.

you get out of the car arms linked with hana and juvia while kita and kiyoomi follow behind. the sounds of laughter and music echoing the night with the lights beaming the neighborhood was more than enough to relieve all the stress you’ve been building up with finals.

“seems pretty popular for it just being open for a month now.” kiyoomi says trailing behind you while walking into the club.

“ooh y/n loooooook at that bar! real upgrade from our usual!” hana says with a bubbly high-pitched voice.

“sounds like you’re already drunk.” juvia scoffs.

“alright we’re gonna look for tsumu, he drove separately with his brother. text if u need anything.” kita says while walking off.

while you’re sitting at the bar chatting it up with hana & juvia you catch a glimpse of a face that was far too familiar to your liking. the music suddenly muffles and the lights slow down.

“this drink taste pretty funny, no?” you blurt

“already drunk y/n?” hana laughs

“cmon we can’t just sit around, lets get on the dance floor!” juvia exclaims

“just a sec,” you say as you down a few shots trying to get that face out of your head.

once you’re on the dance floor you meet a pair of eyes that seemed to be on you this whole time. you catch your breath and feel your heart rush.

“oh my god,” you whisper to hana

your eyes go wide when you see juvia go up to him laughing and joking with him.

“nevermind”
