saw a stock photo of a cougar with an absolutely gorgeous face pattern and just HAD to turn it into a character. not sure what to call him yet...

#my art #the design was a bit trickier than i anticipated #the animal in the photo only really had the silver on his face while the rest of his body was regular tawny #but that looked kinda goofy in the flat-markings style; his head looked out of place #so i tried incorporating highlights of silver fur elsewhere while still keeping it minimal #to make it more cohesive while still matching the photo that inspired it #but was really struggling to make it look good #finally i just stopped trying to be faithful to the photo (except for the face of course)#and the more i embraced the silver the better he looked #so now he is a mostly silver cougar ig ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#anyways #lowkey tempted to make him myla's mate or smth....we shall see

This is so funny (and when I say funny I mean disgusting), because I'm the person he's referring to (hi!)

Falling out makes it sound trivial, but what he's not saying is that he chose to end our friendship because he didn't like that I was posting about Palestine and the genocide of the Palestinian people. Specifically, he found the use of the word genocide "disagreeable" (his word, not mine).

Now normally I wouldn't give a shit because hey, people say dumb things all the time and it has no impact. Except in this case it does, since he's from Israel and this reflects the views about what's happening in his country (but you won't see him posting about it on his massively popular blog).

Whilst there are children dying everyday, innocent people being killed and whole cultures being exterminated, he decides he's offended by my choice of words, which by the way the UN also uses .

We know that the government of Israel has repeatedly lied about the crimes it is committing on the Palestinian people. We know that they continue to defend their tactics as necessary against the "terrorists", lies which a lot of its citizens are happy to parrot despite the evidence proving otherwise. We also know that many Israelis and Jewish people, both from the country and around the world, are seeing through these lies and calling them out. We know that many young Israeli people are choosing to spend their days in prison rather than support the IDF and participate in the massacre of the people in Gaza. So I think it means something when someone as prominent as Charles chooses to say nothing, especially since he's been vocal about his criticisms of Netanyahu in the past, so not sure why he's choosing this hill to die on.

So we all know that the DnD games are used as foreshadowing alllll the timeeee. WELL, LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS~

In Hellfire's final DnD session, Vecna didn't die so the Party has to fight him again. They need a substitute for a missing member, so they look everywhere, but come up squat. (Sidenote: the people Mike asks for help have similarities to Will! Artists, nerds...) Finally, they find an unexpected sub: Erika. An OG party member rolls an 11 and misses– but the sub rolls a nat 20 and defeats Vecna.

Who fails to defeat Vecna first?

It's pretty clear that Eleven will be the one to try and fail to defeat Vecna. Her powers have been heavily leaned on for help in every Season– this time, not even Eleven can stop Vecna.

But the substitute can.

Who could be a substitute for Eleven?

Who is capable of fulfilling her role?

Who has been as integral to the overarching story as Eleven has?

Who has been compared to Eleven time and time again across the series?

Which character has been denied autonomy throughout the show, constantly being kidnapped, possessed, hurt and forgotten?

Which character deserves to fight back against the force that has terrorised them for so long?

Who did the series begin with in the first place?

re: bakugou ask. granted, i’m not fully caught up on the series. but “you hate him because you used to be like him” is a big statement. i would never come for someone who likes a character i don’t like, because i truly don’t care. i like complex characters too myself! but, i did hate him when i watched the show because i was bullied and remain traumatized to this day because of people like him. i still feel worthless because of everyone who told me being different made me beneath them. that causes a pretty visceral reaction to a character like that, y’know?
