something that really pisses me off is this headcanon that ice would have been or was against mav pulling bradley’s papers for the academy.

like i’m sorry but I need some of you to think for a second. this is a man whose jet wash indirectly also led to the accident that resulted in goose’s death and probably carried that guilt for half his life too. this is also the man who was there to watch mav and carole grieve for the brother/husband they lost for YEARS. not to mention he was close to goose as well since they were both at the academy. like he would have wanted to protect bradley just as much as mav did when he made the decision to pull the papers. it’s a dumb moment for both of them but again. 100% they would have both thought they were doing the right thing for bradley.

you know, they Could just say that silver has been lying when he talks about his world and the way he travels back to the past. they could still make a storyline about post-06 silver that dips into existential horror and does something interesting with him. they still have the opportunity to determine some rules for the way time-travel works and do so without looking directly at the player and spelling it out for them. like silver hasn't had significant appearances outside of forces and spin-offs after his debut and thus his exact position in the world is vague at best and highly up for interpretation. most doors are still open. they could still make him canonically interesting

i like jealous dennis but honestly what im hoping for is dennis who wants to see mac succeed and when he does just gets sad about it. like what we saw in gets romantic, when dennis supported mac trying to have his lovestory with the guy and just lingered in the background looking kind of upset. he played the music for mac. he tried to help him. he wasnt happy about it, but he tried to help. because he wants to convince himself he doesnt want and doesnt need mac and is willing to let him go.

and idk but i kinda feel like when he does see mac succeed and win the guy over it doesnt suddenly flip over into anger but into sadness instead. maybe this is just me being delusional and wanting to see dennis be a sopping wet loser but idk. i think dennis does want mac to succeed (if only to prove to himself he doesnt need him) and i dont think hes willing yet to show he cares enough to throw a tantrum. he might quietly seethe a bit, but i dont think he’ll actually get angry.

i think that when mac actually chooses someone other than dennis, he wont be mad because theres nothing to be angry at. it just means he wasnt good enough

With more older anime I watch that’s specifically about androids the more I noticed all the influence mega man pulled from it despite it not being a anime nor the robot timeline ever getting a proper anime but I think what gets me more then “the basis of mega man is like astro boy, casshern and POSSIBLY kikaider all in a blender with mega man x making the second two inspos more apparent” is realizing how many villain characters inspired proto man.

You have the obvious one, char from Gundam, you have rock holmes from Astro boy who’s not a confirmed one but seems to track given classic takes a lot of Astro boy influence and then you have Saburo from Android kikaider, the most likely inspo for proto in EVERY category- and then you remember how while these characters are evil for a complex reason, proto man really shines to be different as he changed his ways. He’s still a rival to his “brother” in a sense but bass takes more of the role of the evil mega man, while proto just watches from afar and comes in to help when he thinks he’s needed.
